On Monday Nintendo announced that they expect to ship the Revolution, Nintendos Next-Gen console, somewhere near this years Thanksgiving. The formal launch is expected to happen during this years E3 which takes place this May. You can check out the full article here.
Every week is packed with announcements of new titles and this week wasnt different. On Monday PureSim announced Puresim Baseball 2006. The game will feature 3 additional levels of low minors, PSPN on demand, a new "Use A Pre-Configured Association" option, more stats, improved player card, and a super rich interactive almanac feature. After Puresim had announced their new sports title, Sixteen-tons Entertainment announced that new installment in the Emergency series will be available this April. Emergency 4 comes packed with twenty fresh missions, a multiplayer co-op mode and new graphics effects. Wednesday Nintendo of Japan announced the coming of a new and smaller version of the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo DS Lite. The new Nintendo DS Lite will arrive as a 133mm wide, 73.9mm high and 21.5mm deep handheld, with apparent similarities to Nintendo's upcoming console codenamed Revolution. The DS Lite will be 42% smaller and 21% lighter than the original DS. The DS Lite will offer four levels of backlight brightness and some aesthetical differences like moving the power button to the side of the handheld and the microphone to the middle of the hinge. On the very same day as Nintendo announced their lighter version of the DS, EA posted on their forums that the release of the first Booster Pack for Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2: Euro Force, has been pushed back for unknown time. Euro Force will offer three new maps (Operation Smoke Screen, The Great Wall of China and Taraba Quarry), seven new weapons (FNP90, Tactical Shotgun) and four new vehicles. Thursday Ubisoft announced that Splinter Cell: Double Agent had been delayed until September 2006. The additional development time will allow for a simultaneous worldwide launch on all platforms. Check out the article and Press Release here.
