    Battlefield 2: Euro Force vertraagd?

Op het EAUK forum is een post verschenen waarin de site admin, Protagonist, mededeelt dat Battlefield 2: Euro Force mogelijk vertraagd is. Ze wachten op het moment nog op bevestiging.

We got some news yesterday that the release for the Euro Forces booster has been pushed back. We're still waiting on confirmation of when it is now due, but for now we have nothing further.

De patch is op het moment nog wel op schema.

We've not given a date for the patch previously, and as far as our information goes at the moment everything is on schedule, rather than there being any major hold-up.

We'll update the patch news sticky as soon as we have anything further.

Zodra er meer nieuws is zullen wij het melden.

    The biggest news but short
A new week, a new load of news, a new load of downloads. Check out the most important articles and most popular downloads of this week in our weekly summary. Welcome to Best of the Week 23-28 January.

    Top Stories

On Monday Nintendo announced that they expect to ship the Revolution, Nintendo’s Next-Gen console, somewhere near this year’s Thanksgiving. The formal launch is expected to happen during this year’s E3 which takes place this May. You can check out the full article here.

Every week is packed with announcements of new titles and this week wasn’t different. On Monday PureSim announced Puresim Baseball 2006. The game will feature 3 additional levels of low minors, PSPN on demand, a new "Use A Pre-Configured Association" option, more stats, improved player card, and a super rich interactive almanac feature. Puresim Baseball 2006 is scheduled for a Q2 2006 release. Check out the original article along with a detailed look into Puresim Baseball 2006 here.

After Puresim had announced their new sports title, Sixteen-tons Entertainment announced that new installment in the Emergency series will be available this April. Emergency 4 comes packed with twenty fresh missions, a multiplayer co-op mode and new graphics effects. Unfortunately, the announcement is in German, so the release date should apply to German territories only. There is no word on UK or US availability. The original article can be found here.

Wednesday Nintendo of Japan announced the coming of a new and smaller version of the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo DS Lite. The new Nintendo DS Lite will arrive as a 133mm wide, 73.9mm high and 21.5mm deep handheld, with apparent similarities to Nintendo's upcoming console codenamed Revolution. The DS Lite will be 42% smaller and 21% lighter than the original DS. The DS Lite will offer four levels of backlight brightness and some aesthetical differences like moving the power button to the side of the handheld and the microphone to the middle of the hinge. The DS Lite will launch March 2nd in Japan at a price of 16,800 Yen (approximately 118 euro). Check out the first 3 screenshots and the article here.

On the very same day as Nintendo announced their lighter version of the DS, EA posted on their forums that the release of the first Booster Pack for Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2: Euro Force, has been pushed back for unknown time. Euro Force will offer three new maps (Operation Smoke Screen, The Great Wall of China and Taraba Quarry), seven new weapons (FNP90, Tactical Shotgun) and four new vehicles. Check the original article here.

Thursday Ubisoft announced that Splinter Cell: Double Agent had been delayed until September 2006. The additional development time will allow for a simultaneous worldwide launch on all platforms. Check out the article and Press Release here.

Battlefield 2: 1.2 patch waarschijnlijk uitgesteld
