Dear diary,
This is my first post.
You don't know me yet so I'm going to introduce myself.
My name is Nini. I'm 16 years old and I just moved to America.
I'm very nervous to go to school because I don't know anyone here.
I didnt have many friends in Belgium, so why would it be different here?
My brother is a drug addict and my dad left us when I was little.
My mom used to work every day so that we could pay the rent.
She found a new job in America that pays much better so we decided to take the offer.
It's easier for my brother too, he's now in the best rehab that we could find.
I should go to bed, it's getting late and I want to look decent on my first day of school.

The next day Nini woke up and put her make-up on.
She was waiting for the bus when a car passed her by and made her dirty.
She was covered in mud, she wanted to go back home to change but if she did that she would be late on her first day. She decided to wait for the bus. When the bus came she stepped in and everyone was looking at her. She ignored it and before she could change her mind to go back home she arrived at school.
She didn't know where to go and she was going to be late.
She was running down the halls until someone ran into her.
Nini looked up and before her stood the most beautiful guy she had ever seen.
"I'm-I'm ss-sorry, I didn't see you there", said Nini.
His friends started laughing and Nini ran away crying.
She looked for someone who could help her. She found a girl and she agreed to walk with her to her next class. "Thank you so much. I was going to be late if I hadn't found anyone to help me" She started rambling. "It's okay, I get it, we've all been there. I'm Jonalien by the way" Jonalien smiled at her.
After Jonalien left Nini went inside. There weren't many seats so she decided to take a seat in front of the class.
When the teacher started talking there was a knock on the door.
Someone walked in and took a seat next to her.
Nini looked up and she immediately recognized him.
It was him, it was that guy she ran into!
The teacher started talking again and Nini had to force herself to stop staring at him.
The teacher told the students that they had to do a group assignment with the classmate next to them. It took Nini a moment to realize who she was sitting next to. 'Great', she thought.
After the teacher dismissed them the guy came to Nini.
"Hey, do you want to come to my house tonight, so we can work? On the assignment of course!" He added after Nini started blushing.
Nini was paralyzed, she couldn't believe it. The hottest guy of the school just asked her to come over. Even if it was for an assignment, she was still excited.
She realised she hadn't answered his question yet. "Ehm, yeah..yeah.. sure. Okay, but can I go home first? I have to take a shower."
"Oh good idea, because you smell like shit.." He started laughing and walked away.
The rest of the day went by fast, during lunch Jonalien offered Nini to sit next to her and her friends.
After her last class she went home and took a shower to get ready for her date...
