itÂ’s

Here

«…It
is
common
knowledge
that
when
people
move
to
a
new
country
the
children
will
end
up
speaking
the
language
natively
and
adults
wonÂ’t.
The
wildly
excepted
explanation:
Is
those
children
have
a
special
gift
that
they
lose
as
they
grow
up.
Even
with
the
coming
of
the
age
of
signs
this
gift
fairy
went
unquestioned.
An
early
linguist
thought
that
some
special
remedy
was
needed.
They
propose
that
for
adults
language
should
be
taught
and
studied
instead
of
pick
up.
This
idea
slowly
evolved
in
to
present
language
teaching.
But
are
we
any
better
off
with
present
day
language
teaching.
Why ,
for
example ,
do
adults
in
center
Africa
clearly
do
better
when
they
move
to
a
new
language
community
then
are
modern
students
do.
Could
it
be
that
early
linguist
and
all
the
rest
of
us
were
mistaken?
May
be
adults
can
do
what
children
do.
May
be
it
just
typical
adult
behavior?
Not
adult
an
accuracy
that
in
a
fears.
The
mistake
is
children
can
do
something
that
adults
cannot.
The
honest
question
what
would
happen
if
an
adult
would
just
listen
for
a
year
without
speaking?
Our
answer:
both
adults
and
children
can
do
it
right.
But
only
adults
can
do
it
wrong.
Imagine
a
four
years
old
child
reacting
to
somebody
talking
to
them
in
foreign
language.
A
child
most
often
just
listens.
Well ,
the
adult
usually
tries
to
talk
back.
Now
are
supposed
that
NOT
TRYING
TO
SREAK
was
the
child
secret.
It
could
be
after
all.
DoesnÂ’t
make
sense ,
that
listening ,
to
think
that
was
always
right
would
talk
to
build
the
language
right.
Well ,
saying
thing
that
is
always
wrong
would
tell
to
build
it
wrong.
It
makes
you
wonder
what
would
happen
if
adults
would
to
do
the
same
thing
what
the
children
do.
That
is
just
listening
for
a
year
to
without
try
saying
anything.
It
what
be
what
finding
out.
But
it
seems
this
experiment
was
never
tried.
Not
until
recently.
That
is.
In
1984
the
AUA

this
in
its

The
students
just
listened
for
march
in
a

without

at
all.
We
found
that
adults
get
almost
the
same
results
that
children
do.
If
adults
understand
natural
talk
in
real
situations
without
try
saying
anything
for
a

then
fluent

with
clear
pronunciation
will

A

It
seems
that
a

between

That

And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said , Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light , that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day , and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning , one day. And God said , Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters , and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament , and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning , a second day. And God said , Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place , and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said , Let the earth put forth grass , herbs yielding seed , and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind , wherein is the seed thereof , upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass , herbs yielding seed after their kind , and trees bearing fruit , wherein is the seed thereof , after their kind: and God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning , a third day. And God said , Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs , and for seasons , and for days and years: and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day , and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth , and to rule over the day and over the night , and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning , a fourth day. And God said , Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures , and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created the great sea-monsters , and every living creature that moveth , wherewith the waters swarmed , after their kind , and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them , saying , Be fruitful , and multiply , and fill the waters in the seas , and let birds multiply on the earth. And there was evening and there was morning , a fifth day. And God said , Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind , cattle , and creeping things , and beasts of the earth after their kind: and it was so. And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind , and the cattle after their kind , and everything that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said , Let us make man in our image , after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea , and over the birds of the heavens , and over the cattle , and over all the earth , and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Mother holle
Fairy Tales
Mother Holle (by the Grimm Brothers)Fairy Tales By the Grimm Brothers Presented byAuthorama Public Domain Books Mother Holle Once upon a time there was a widow who had two daughters; one of them was beautiful and industrious, the other ugly and lazy . The mother, however, loved the ugly and lazy one best, because she was her own daughter, and so the other, who was only her stepdaughter, was made to do all the work of the house, and was quite the Cinderella of the family . Her stepmother sent her out every day to sit by the well in the high road, there to spin until she made her fingers bleed . Now it chanced one day that some blood fell on to the spindle, and as the girl stopped over the well to wash it off, the spindle suddenly sprang out of her hand and fell into the well . She ran home crying to tell of her misfortune, but her stepmother spoke harshly to her, and after giving her a violent scolding, said unkindly, Â’As you have let the spindle fall into the well you may go yourself and fetch it out . Â’The girl went back to the well not knowing what to do, and at last in her distress she jumped into the water after the spindle . She remembered nothing more until she awoke and found herself in a beautiful meadow , full of sunshine, and with countless flowers blooming in every direction . She walked over the meadow, and presently she came upon a bakerÂ’s oven full of bread, and the loaves cried out to her, Â’Take us out, take us out, or alas! we shall be burnt to cinder; we were baked through long ago . Â’ So she took the bread-shovel and drew them all out . She went on a little farther, till she came to a tree full of apples . Â’Shake me, shake me, I pray,Â’ cried the tree ; Â’my apples, one and all, are ripe . Â’ So she shook the tree, and the apples came falling down upon her like rain; but she continued shaking until there was not a single apple left upon it . Then she carefully gathered the apples together in a heap and walked on again . The next thing she came to was a little house, and there she saw an old woman looking out, with such large teeth, that she was terrified, and turned to run away . But the old woman called after her, Â’What are you afraid of, dear child? Stay with me; if you will do the work of my house properly for me, I will make you very happy . You must be very careful, however, to make my bed in the right way, for I wish you always to shake it thoroughly, so that the feathers fly about; then they say, down there in the world, that it is snowing; for I am Mother Holle . Â’ The old woman spoke so kindly, that the girl summoned up courage and agreed to enter into her service . She took care to do everything according to the old womanÂ’s bidding and every time she made the bed she shook it with all her might, so that the feathers flew about like so many snowflakes . The old woman was as good as her word: she never spoke angrily to her, and gave her roast and boiled meats every day . So she stayed on with Mother Holle for some time, and then she began to grow unhappy . She could not at first tell why she felt sad, but she became conscious at last of great longing to go home; then she knew she was homesick, although she was a thousand times betteroff with Mother Holle than with her mother and sister . After waiting awhile, she went to Mother Holle and said, Â’I am so homesick, that I cannot stay with you any longer, for although I am so happy here, I must return to my own people . Â’Then Mother Holle said, Â’I am pleased that you should want to go back to your own people, and as you have served me so well and faithfully, I will take you home myself . Â’ Thereupon she led the girl by the hand up to a broad gateway . The gate was opened, and as the girl passed through, a shower of gold fell upon her, and the gold clung to her, so that she was covered with it from head to foot . Â’That is a reward for your industry,Â’ said Mother Holle, and as she spoke she handed her the spindle which she had dropped into the well . The gate was then closed, and the girl found herself back in the old world close to her motherÂ’s house . As she entered the courtyard, the cock who was perched on the well, called out: Â’Cock-a-doodle-doo! Your golden daughterÂ’s come back to you . Â’Then she went in to her mother and sister, and as she was so richly covered with gold, they gave her a warm welcome . She related to them all that had happened, and when the mother heard how she had come by her great riches, she thought she should like her ugly, lazy daughter to go and try her fortune . So she made the sister go and sit by the well and spin, and the girl pricked her finger and thrust her hand into a thorn-bush, so that she might drop some blood on to the spindle; then she threw it into the well, and jumped in herself . Like her sister she awoke in the beautiful meadow, and walked over it till she came to the oven . Â’Take us out, take us out, or alas! we shall be burnt to a cinder; we were baked through long ago,Â’ cried the loaves as before . But the lazy girl answered, Â’Do you think I am going to dirty my hands for you?Â’ and walked on . Presently she came to the apple-tree . Â’Shake me, shake me, I pray; my apples, one and all, are ripe,Â’ it cried . But she only answered, Â’A nice thing to ask me to do, one of the apples might fall on my head,Â’ and passed on . At last she came to Mother HolleÂ’s house, and as she had heard all about the large teeth from her sister, she was not afraid of them, and engaged herself without delay to the old woman . The first day she was very obedient and industrious, and exerted herself to please Mother Holle, for she thought of the gold she should get in return . The next day, however, she began to dawdle over her work, and the third day she was more idle still; then she began to lie in bed in the mornings and refused to get up . Worse still, she neglected to make the old womanÂ’s bed properly, and forgot to shake it so that the feathers might fly about . So Mother Holle very soon got tired of her, and told her she might go . The lazy girl was delighted at this, and thought to herself, Â’The gold will soon be mine . Â’ Mother Holle led her, as she had led her sister, to the broad gateway; but as she was passing through, instead of the shower of gold, a great bucketful of pitch came pouring over her . Â’That is in return for your services,Â’ said the old woman, and she shut the gate . So the lazy girl had to go home covered with pitch, and the cock on the well called out as she saw her: Â’Cock-a-doodle-doo! Your dirty daughterÂ’s come back to you . Â’But, try what she would, she could not get the pitch off and it stuck to her as long as she lived .

The Key to excellent speaking
The Key to excellent speaking English
Klik op een woord uit de tekst voor directe vertaling Klik hier om woord dat niet in de tekst voorkomt te vertalen. What is the most important English skill? Obviously , number 1 is Fluency. What is fluency? Fluency is the ability to speak (and understand) English quickly and easily... WITHOUT translation. Fluency means you can talk easily with native speakers-- they easily understand you , and you easily understand them. In fact , you speak and understand instantly. Fluency is your most important English goal. The research is clear-- there is only ONE way to get fluency. You do not get fluency by reading textÂbooks. You do not get fluency by going to English schools. You do not get fluency by studying grammar rules. Listening Is The Key To get English fluency , you musthave a lot of understandable repetitive listening . That is the ONLY way. To be a FANTASTIC English speaker , you must learn English with your ears , not with your eyes. In other words , you must listen. Your ears are the key to excellent speaking. What kind of listening is best? Well , it must be understandable and must be repetitive. Both of those words are important-- Understandable and Repetitive. If you don t understand , you learn nothing. You will not improve. That s why listening to English TV does not help you. You don t understand most of it. It is too difficult. It is too fast. Its obvious right? If you do not understand , you will not improve. So , the best listening material is EASY. That’s right , you should listen mostly to easy English. Most students listen to English that is much too difficult. They don't understand enough , and so they learn slowly. Listen to easier English , and your speaking will improve faster ! Understanding is Only Half The Formula. Understanding is not enough. You must also have a lot of repetition. If you hear a new word only once , you will soon forget it. If you hear it 5 times , you will still probably forget it! You must hear new words and new grammar many times before you will understand them instantly. How many times is necessary? Most people must hear a new word 30 times to remember it forever. To know a word and instantly understand it , you probably need to hear it 50-100 times! That s why I tell my students to listen to all of my lessons many times. I tell them to listen to the Mini-Stories , the Vocab Lessons , The Point-of-View Stories , and the Audio <a href="http:

Learn Real English LLC info@learnrealenglish.com Learn Real English LLC info@learnrealenglish.com Aan: Onderwerp: Day 7: How To Speak English Fast & Easily Datum: zondag 8 maart 2009 8:14 < Hi. Today is the last rule! Remember , we promised to send you one email every day- for 8 days. Today is number 7 :) Today is the last Rule , and it is the easiest: Most English CDs use listen and repeat . The speaker says something in English , and you repeat exactly what they said. This method is a failure. Thanks very much! I am studying English according to your method. I will introduce your lessons to my friends! --Fred Zhao **Rule 7: A Story Emi , a Japanese woman , had a problem. Her speaking was SLOW. She could not answer questions quickly. Emi listened to many English tapes and CDs. She listened. She repeated what the speaker said. Emi emailed me. I recommended Listen & Answer lessons. We told her not to use listen and repeat . We told her to use Listen & Answer Mini-Stories. We told her that listen and repeat is not enough-- when you repeat , you only copy the speaker. But when you hear a question and you ANSWER it-- you must think in English. After using listen & ANSWER lessons for just 4 months , her speaking was fast , easy , and automatic. Emi was excited. She wrote: The lessons are FANTASTIC! I love them. My speaking is so much faster now. I understand quickly and I can now speak English without thinking. I can t believe it! **RULE 7: Listen and Answer , not Listen and Repeat Use Listen & Answer Mini-Story Lessons Use Listen & Answer Mini-Story Lessons In each Mini-Story Lesson , a speaker tells a short simple story. He also asks a lot of easy questions. Every time you hear a question , you pause and answer it. You learn to answer questions quickly-- without thinking. Your English becomes automatic. How can you use Listen & Answer Stories? Easy! Find a native speaker tutor. Ask him to use this method: Ask him to tell a story... and to constantly ask you easy questions about it. This will teach you to think quickly in English! You can also find Listen & Answer lessons. They will teach you to think quickly in English. Your technique is really mind blowing and working for me nicely. Fantastic! Once more thanks a lot! --Sameer Ansari **What s Next? That is the last rule! How can you continue? A great way to use the 7 Rules is to buy our Learn Real English Conversation Lessons. When you use our lessons , you speak English easily , and fast. Our lessons use all of the 7 Rules. Get our Learn Real English Conversation lessons now , click below: http://www.LearnRealEnglish.com Buy the lessons and we guarantee you will succeed :) Thanks for allowing us to teach you. **One More Email You will get only one more email tomorrow :) Have a great day! Learn Real English LLC Learn Real English LLC Aan: Onderwerp: Day 6: How To Learn Idioms & Slang.. Datum: vrijdag 6 maart 2009 22:20 Hi again :) It s us , your English teachers... with another rule! We want you to think about something today: You have studied English for more than 4 years- why do you still have trouble understanding native speakers? Nothing is wrong with you. Something is wrong with the schools you went to , and the textbooks you used. English textbooks and audio tapes are horrible. You never learned REAL English. You learned TEXTBOOK English. Your teaching is excellent! I´m very grateful to you. Thank you! Milan Hodac , Czech Republic **How To Understand Native Speakers Megdelio studied English for 5 years in Venezuela. Teachers said he was an advanced student. When he came to the USA he felt good. He was excited to meet Americans. He was ready. He wrote: One day I tried to talk to an American woman and everything changed. The woman started talking and I couldn t understand her. Not at all! Her pronunciation was totally different than the textbook tapes and CDs I listened to. She used idioms , slang , and many casual phrases. I was totally confused. That s when I realized I needed to learn real English! **You Must Learn Real English We taught Megdelio to learn with real English conversations learning the English we use everyday in conversations , books , movies , TV shows , comic books , audio books , articles , newspapers , magazines , and podcasts. **Stop Learning Textbook English If you want to understand native speakers , you must stop learning English from textbook tapes and CDs. To learn real English , you must listen to real English conversations... not to actors reading. You listen to real native speakers speaking real English. You must study real conversations. Listen only to real English Listen only to real English Listen only to real English How do you learn Real English? It s easy. Stop using textbooks. Instead , listen only to real English conversations movies , TV shows , audio books , audio articles , stories , and talk radio shows. Use real English conversations. After 6 months of real English , Megdelio could speak easily. He could understand real English from real native speakers. You will too. I m very glad to get your Lessons. I was probably like many of your students - good at tests but hopeless at speaking. I wish I had known your method earlier! Barbara Sitko **RULE 6: Only Use Real English Conversations & Materials You learn real English if you want to understand native speakers and speak easily. Use real conversations , magazines , audio articles , TV shows , movies , radio talk shows , and audio books. We re doing well. Today we re back to explain Rule 5. We hope you are enjoying these emails :) On Day 2 , we told you never to study grammar rules. But , of course , you want to use correct English grammar. Maybe you are thinking , How can I learn English grammar if I don t study English grammar rules? Well , today we will tell you. www.LearnRealEnglish.com We will teach you a way to learn grammar naturally. Use this method and your grammar will improve automatically. You will automatically use the correct verb tense. You won t think. You won t try. I am glad to tell you that I have improved my English after listening to your Lessons. I think your system is great. Aleister Yu , Singapore **Rule 5: A Story Miyuki did very well on grammar tests. She knew all of the grammar rules. She knew English verbs. But Miyuki had a problem. She couldn t USE the grammar in a real conversation. She could explain the past tense , but when speaking , she would say Yesterday I GO to school . Miyuki was confused. How could her grammar tests be so good , but her speaking so bad? Miyuki said: Before your lessons , I knew all the grammar rules , but I couldn t speak correctly. I couldn t feel English grammar. After using point of view stories , I feel it and use it correctly. Now my grammar is great when I speak. I never think about it , I just automatically use correct grammar. Thank you! Miyuki learned this grammar naturally. She never studied grammar rules. How did she do it? First she listened to a short story in the present tense. She listened to it everyday. www.LearnRealEnglish.com Then , she listened to the exact SAME story but this time it started with 10 years ago.... She learned to feel the past tense by listening to this story. Next , I gave her the exact same story. This time , it started with Since 2004... Miyuki learned to FEEL the perfect tenses by listening to this story. Finally , I gave her the exact same story... beginning with Next year . She learned to FEEL the future tense simply by listening to this story. Thanks A Lot. I Can t Believe I Found The Solution To My Problems. Thanks From The Bottom Of My Heart!
