A thin waistline can add up to a thick wallet. At least it has for the worlds supermodels. These beautiful women have catwalked their way into the big time--and the big bucks.
In fact, the five supermodels on our list earned a collective $38.2 million in just one year, according to Forbes' annual listing of the Worlds Most Powerful Celebrities. The worlds highest-paid model--Gisele Bundchen--earned a gorgeous $15.2 million in just 12 months.
Of course, fashion work alone cant bring in that kind of cash. Todays top-models parlay their good looks into television shows, fashion lines and even book deals.
Take Heidi Klum. Sure, the German supermodel is still strutting her stuff to the tune of many millions, but she has found other ways to cash in too. A signature line of sandals? Check. A jewelry line? Check. Perfume? Check. But Klums highest-profile project is her television show, Project Runway, which airs on Bravo and has been nominated for an Emmy. Now in its second season, the show remains a hit. All in all, Klums various ventures added up to a pretty $7.5 million.
Supermodel Tyra Banks doesnt even bother to model any more--at least not in the traditional sense. Late last year, she put her catwalking career to rest. Now she is concentrating on being a television producer. The former Victorias Secret Angel created her own production company, Bankable Productions, in 2003. Her first project, Americas Next Top Model, a UPN reality program that she produces and hosts, remains a big ratings winner. And her second, a syndicated daily talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, keeps fans coming back for more.
And with three more projects in development--a sitcom, a one-hour drama and a made-for-TV movie--the multitalented star is bound to remain busy--and rich. Make that richer. Banks is already banking some $6 million a year.
Then, of course, theres Kate Moss. These days the British supermodel is cashing in on her misfortunes. Moss downward spiral began last fall when a British paper, the Daily Mirror, published pictures of what sure looked like the rail-thin model snorting cocaine with her then boyfriend, bad-boy rocker Pete Doherty. Moss bad luck turned worse when she was promptly dropped as the face of Britains Burberry and the Swedish-based retailer Hennes and Mauritz. A slew of other fashion heavyweights followed suit. Look for Moss' earnings to slide this year.
But things are starting to look up for Moss. She has dumped Doherty, and thanks to a deal with Richard Branson, Virgin Books is going to publish her life story. Or at least the first 32 years of it. The fly in the ointment? Scotland Yard is demanding that she return to Great Britain for questioning.
To determine which of the worlds supermodels were earning the very most, we turned to the 2005 edition of Forbes Celebrity 100, which ranks the most powerful actors, models, chefs and directors based on their media exposure (magazine covers, TV and radio mentions), Web presence (number of Google hits) and earnings.
How to increase your organizational intelligence ?
Useful tips from Dr. P. Georges:
You cannot alter your intelligence, its genetic. Discipline is the solution. Use it!
Tidy your desk before leaving the office! You will work much better tomorrow on an empty desk.
Protect yourself from voices! They seriously disturb your intelligence.
Light your desk lamp! Strong concentrated light, strong productivity.
Display your objectives and results in front of your desk! We cannot improve on what cannot be measured.
Reserve an hour a week to get to know your software better. Your market value is you and your software.
Protect yourself from interruptions for two hours a day! An interruption, however small, is twenty minutes you lose.
Use your answering machine more often. You are more intelligent when you have more time between the question and your answer.
Take more time over answering important questions.
Less than three seconds between the question and the response: error guaranteed.
Do not start the day by reading mail. Your objectives take priority over those of others.
No meetings before 11 am. Your intelligence is more powerful in the morning but more easily perturbed by others.
Choose your Business of the Day, every morning when you wake up. Decide to finish something important before the end of the working day.
For each intention, a decision. Do something about every red light that lights up in your head.
Eliminate more! 50 % of the messages you get are not in your interest.
Fill in your log book every Saturday morning. Note down every important thing you have done during the week.
Do not drive without a Dictaphone. Do not clutter your memory with intentions, it will only retain stress.
Never leave your office without a note pad. Do not clutter your memory with intentions, it will only retain stress.
Place your note pad on your bedside table. Note down your desires, your intentions, your concerns, you will sleep better!
Decide on your Green Project every three months. Do something personal, different, something risky every three months.
Calculate your productivity by ticking off your «Things to do» list. Start with the most important thing and leave on time, you will never finish in any case.
Write your own ten commandments. This is the only way of rapidly and effectively sorting out the excess information you are flooded with.
Have tea at five oclock. "Religiously" keep a brief date with yourself every day.
Mood swings, trouble sleeping? Beware, you are on red alert, slow down!
A good breakfast, light lunch, no alcohol. Sorry, but you told me that you wanted to be an athlete in intelligence!
Organise your second trade, without delay, your passion, your art, your discipline, your sport. You need a fortress, a refuge that does not require much money nor depend on others.
Spend a little less time in meetings every year. Calculate the cost/benefit ratio of each meeting.
Do not only think about what you can see. Look to see if anything has to be done. Do it. It is as simple as that.
Concentrating is the best way to improve your intelligence.
Do 15 minutes of physical exercise every day. If you want to be rich, famous, powerful, you have to be strong!
Living is solving problems. Do not be stressed about being asked to live!
Be well organised! Stress comes from uncertainty. Good personal organisation reduces that uncertainty.
Set yourself a measurable objective every three months. What is measured is done.
Give your team an objective that can be measured every week. What is measured is done.
Plan a team meeting every Friday afternoon. It is better to convey the objectives before a break rather than before the days work starts.
Do not manage more than three direct team members! Your stress is proportional to the number of people that you direct.
Increase your visibility, diminish your accessibility, be available. This is a recipe for good leadership!
Add a page to your teams bible every week. Delegate by writing your knowledge down in the form of instructions in the book.
Do things that will make you respected rather than loved. We cannot be liked by everyone at the same time.
Create a genuine team by deciding on a common instruction panel. Your team is not familiar with your instruction panel nor you with theirs.
You are not at your most intelligent in meetings. Do not make important decisions. Too many voices, too many faces, too many distractions for your brain.
Do not smile if you do not feel like it. A false smile can always be detected.
Do not spend a 1000 on a decision worth 100 . Decide without knowing everything, do not try to control everything, you will never manage.
Want what you have, plus 10 %. No comment.
Start your presentations with the conclusion. Your public will give you only one minute of their unswerving attention.
Never sign in front of the seller. Your intelligence is not at its best in these circumstances.
Make a large and permanent display of all the information useful to your decisions. For your intelligence, what is big and permanent is important.
Place a light detector in your office. We need at lot of light, without variations.
Replace ceiling lights with desk lamps if you work at a screen. Reflections on your screen have terrible results!
There should be no temperature variations of over 5°c between the coldest and the warmest surface in the office. Your comfort will be seriously reduced otherwise.
Devote a meeting room to team decision-making. Equip yourself with a genuine board room with all the instruction panels displayed on the walls.
Make a list of the 24 questions that concern you the most. Formalise your information requirements, review them every 3 months.
Have principles and delegate. Place signalling lights on all the indicators on your instruction panel.
Always keep your eyes on the target. Write the cover page of your biography now.
Protect yourself if you have to perform an important task. No voices, no faces, no interruptions.
Create a bond between your team members by writing a page specifying your collective mission. Write down your own mission first.
Find a co-pilot. It is not easy to act and think at the same time, especially when there is too much to do.
Be aware that if you are stressed you are going to mistake the details for the things of importance. It is inevitable, you should just be aware of it.
Close your door from time to time. You may be either liked or respected, you cannot always have both.
Read and listen to messages when you decide to, not when they arrive. Register and read at the time you have planned to do so, unless you are a fireman.
There should always be adjustable blinds on windows in rooms with computers. Reflections on your screen seriously affect your comfort.
Work back-to-back rather than face to face with your colleagues. Sorry, but there are times when you want to be more productive
Buy a very good computer and spend time getting to know your software well. Your strength is you and your equipment.
At one point in nearly everyone's life there comes a moment when you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror or shop window and think, "Whoa, I gotta lose some weight."

"The Board of Directors has resolved that it unanimously rejects Mittal Steel's unsolicited proposal which it considers hostile" zei de Arcelor spokesman !
