Acer Aspire One update - a big screen on Sony Vaio
Just installed ssh on the AAO for ease of operation with various external linux servers. Works like a charm. Instruction : yum install openssh-clients (automatically installs openssh too).
Also installed a big monitor for the Sony Viao. Excellent once I found out that I had to switch it off and on to get it working on the computer...
After a long search to find the recovery CD for my Acer Aspire One finally manged to get it working. It crashed after the first LiveUpdate, the second time around everything went as expected.
Macles was again a terrific help in getting Firefox 3.0.10 and OpenOffice 3.1 installed. All his recipes worked.
Also found a way to extract data out of BOB (accounting software) to a text file. Now I only need to parse it and I can start building a reporting tool for AP Trans.
I also struggled to get my registration for the social security (Belcotax-on-web), but in the end it worked.
Finally also initiated the parsing of the table dumps from Jurisoft with regards to invoices and services rendered.
