mundo bailando, the successfull song of Belle Perez in Belgians
National Final for Eurovision 2006 is having unexpected international
success ! The song was chosen to be the themesong of a prime-time
television program on PBS, Maltese National Television. The show called
Fil-Pjazza tar-Rahal starts next Friday and will run until the end of
September on the spot where Xarabank, Maltas most watched program is
broadcasted. Belle Perez will be the special guest on Friday 22nd
September!
Starting on Friday 7th July, Fil-Pjazza tar-Rahal
(The square of the town) will be broadcasted each Friday until 29th
September from a local town or village square around Malta. This larger
than life TV entertainment road show, designed along the lines of
Festival Bar will create a buzz in every village and town square a
large concert stage, live music by Maltas best musicians, lights,
games for the young and the young at heart, top singers, the comedy of
Joe Debono and the Peter Carbonaro, projections, effects,
talent-spotting, local culture & history, a big screen
curiosities
and a supporting cast of the hundreds in the town square to make it all
happen.
As a Wheres Everybody production Fil-Pjazza tar-Rahal
is guaranteed to be innovative, high-quality, fast-paced and most of
all fun. Presenters will be Joe Debono and Peter Carbonaro. The team
behind the program has already contacted various international singers
to come to perform this summer in Malta. Sakis Rouvas (ESC 2004 +
presenter ESC 2006) and Dima Bilan (ESC 2006) are said to come to sing
in the show.
Belle Perez guest of honour in Malta
The
guest of honour will be no less than Belle Perez (Belgian National
Final 1999+2006). During the promotiontour of Fabrizio Faniello, the
tv-crew that followed him for a special Xarabank program, was impressed
of the singer and song that ended third in the Belgian National Final.
We were immediately impressed by Belle Perez charisma and the song
El Mundo bailando was constantly in our minds, according to Angie
Laus, producer of the Fil-Pjazza tar-Rahal. This is one of the reason
that we chose it to be our themesong for the program. We are also very
honoured that Belle Perez will be our guest of honour on Fri |
