Wild swimmer rescued off Nairn and flown to hospital

A wild swimmer was rescued after getting into difficulty in the Moray Firth off Nairn.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said the alarm was raised just before 20:30 on Monday.
Nairn and Inverness coastguard rescue teams, lifeboats from Kessock and Moray and Inverness search and rescue helicopter were sent to help the man.
He was winched from a sandbank by the helicopter and flown to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
