So... I got the brilliant idea of buying a analog vintage video camera. I didn't have much knowledge of it, so I did my research and went ahead and bought myself a video camera. I knew what I was up to and honestly it wasn't cheap at all. But I was okay with that. So I met up with the person and bought the camera from him. He was curious and asked me why I bought it, I told him I wanted to go on a small trip somewhere nice and just film the experience. He thought it was a great idea and wished me all the luck. I told him if I finish my project, I would definitely get in touch with him and show him. So now I have my video camera ready to film, the only thing left is going on a trip. I already asked my girlfriend and a couple of my best friends. They all said yes! I am very excited to make all this happen. We were planning on going on a trip to Iceland during our easter break at school. So once it gets there, I will update my blog and let you know how it went! see you then
I did it again! I bought more instant roll and went to take even more pictures! This time I wanted to try something different. I felt confident and decided to play around a bit with different lightings and colours. I went to the closest fortress in my area and took a lot of beautiful pictures from the leftover buildings. I wanted to go inside but sadly they weren't open to the public. I took a few pictures of the ducks and birds and even dogs from people who happened to walk by! So again, I took 24 pictures and went to get them developed again. This time though I asked if I could also get them digitalized. It would cost me a bit more, but I was okay with that. After all this is my only hobby. After a week I went to pick up the pictures and CD. I got home and instantly put the pictures on my computer. A friend had told me to maybe try and edit the pictures to make them look even better. I installed a picture editing program and went ahead. I had so much fun doing this and I am definitely going to keep doing this until I get bored of it. The idea of taking these pictures was to make them look and or feel like they were taken in the past even though I actually just took them the other week. I was fulfilled and happy, but then I got another great idea! What if I film stuff with an old video camera instead of take pictures. I will tell you more about my brilliant idea in the next blog...
A couple months ago I finally got myself a nice analog camera that I bought at a garage sale. It was in great condition and seemed to work pretty well. I only had to buy some special battery and a roll for instant film. A couple days later I went on an adventure in my yard and took a lot of pictures of flowers and the sky! After 24 pictures, the roll was full and I had to get them developed to see the end result. I love the idea of carefully having to take pictures because there's no option to delete them and try again. Anyways, I go to a store where you can get them developed and they told me the wait would only be maximum 12 days. I was thrilled. So finally after 12 days I went back to the store to pick up my developed pictures. But they had bad news for me , my pictures hadn't arrived yet. I was a bit upset but they asked me to be patient and come back in a couple days. So I went back but they didn't bring me good news. They apologized and said my order still wasn't ready. Then another week went by and still nothing. After going back and forth a few more times they told me my order got lost. I was very upset, but I didn't give up. I bought a new roll of instant film and went on an adventure again. I took almost the same exact pictures as last time and went to a different store to get them developed. They told me the wait would only be 5 days. I was even more thrilled than before. So after 5 days, I went to the store and picked them up! They came out so nice! I was very excited and had to tell and show everybody. I got a lot of positive feedback and decided to buy some more instant film... To be continued
