On the 21st and 22nd september of 2015 we went to Kemmel, West-Flanders. We went there with a few classes. There were three teachers with us; Miss Botte, Mister Defruyt and Mister De Winne. We went to Kemmel by car and our first stop was Bayernwald. There we saw a part of the trenches that they used in World War I. We had to answer a few questions about them. Then we went to youth club the Lork. After we placed our suitcases there, we went hiking in the woods. We lunched in a pub, then we walked back to the Lork. In the afternoon we went on a bicycle ride. On our trip we stopped on different places. We drove on an unpaved road and it was very dangerous. It started raining, so we went back to the Lork. For dinner, we ate spaghetti that came from a can. We cleaned the table, and went to Ieper, there we saw 'Last Post'. It was raining and it was very cold. We burst out laughing because a woman was wearing black, long socks in pointed ballerinas.
We, the students of the fifth year, took the train to Kortrijk. We saw Mister Lemayeur in the station. He gave us the train-passes. After a long ride, we finally arrived in Lille.
Over there, the pupils from modern languages gave us some information about a number of monuments.
Then we went to Euralille. It was quite boring ant rather creepy. There were some strange people there. One of our teachers lost his mobile phone during dinner. So they had to search for it, but they didn't find it. Then, Cynthia had an idea: to call the mobile phone. After ringing three times somebody picked up the phone.
So the teachers could go and fetch the phone. After this exciting experience we took the train back home.
