Hey Guys! Richard here. Today, im
going to tell you all about my travels around asia. One of the most unique experiences i've ever had. Let's starts talking about my reasons. My mother's roots are located in the west of Indonesia, In Medan. That is why we usually go there. We usually spend one month with the family and one month travelling from place to place. The travelling is where things get interesting. Visiting all kinds of places and their local people with each their own story is the best imo.
Our journey started at Dusseldorf intyernational airport. There, we departed for a 6 hour flight to AbuDhabi. Once arrived, we had to wait for 8 hours because our flight had a delay. From there, we took another 6 hour flight to Bankok international airport. People usually think that i get bored of these long flights and waiting times. However, i personally enjoy the whole flying experience a lot. I really like the vacation vibes i get when i see all those heavy packed luggage karts pas by. I could spend hours on a airport, drinking a cup of coffee and watching the planes arrive and depart.
Bangkok. Once we arrived in bangkok, we immediately got jumped by a group of taxi drivers. Each offering us their best deals. My dad however dicided to go for a Tuk-Tuk instead, which was the most stupid idea ever imo. Can you imagine it? Two Tuk-Tuks, fully packed with heavy suitcases and us included, that almost died after the slightes bump in the road. Also, taking the pressing heat and the cuing traffic into account, it really was a 'hell-like' experience. However, this experience made our arrival at the hotel more of a relief than i ever could imagine. We chose to take the other half of the day that was left to rest and enjoy the environment. The next day, we would set out for some elephant riding, jungle exploration and a visit to the longneck village.
