NODQ.com has published an interview with former TNA
Knockout Winter, In the interview she talks about her time in TNA, Storyline
with Angelina Love and her departure from the company. Below is a quick
recap:
On joining TNA:
"I was already a fan of TNA
Wrestling, I had been watching it for some time and really liked their product.
I loved the characters they had on the show, I loved how fast paced it was- I
just thought it would be a very exciting, cool place to be, so I was in fact
hoping they would sign me
there was absolutely no convincing
needed."
On her big storyline with Angelina
Love:
"Well
the point of
a good story is the story itself is it not..? Perhaps you didnt like the
wackiness of it- myself, I am a big believer in anything that is more story
orientated and less wrestling 101- the further out of the box the better, and
the more entertaining it usually is. I loved that I got to embody such a
mysterious character and I had the privilege of not just my own storyline but
months of build-up that made the matches eventually mean so much more.
"
On whether the knockouts title win and the
knockouts tag team title wins solidified her career:
"Absolutely. I am
very grateful for those wins and holding those titles meant a lot to me. It
really put a stamp on things for me I think, to have won such prestigious
championships."
On not being used following
creative changes and her eventual departure from the company:
"Well I think
perhaps you just answered your own question there..? Other than that I have no
better explanation. They seem to generally be using a lot less of the ueber
talented group of girls they do have than before, which I think is a
shame."
