George Bush tapes message to WWE fans
United States President George W. Bush taped a one minute 30 second video message praising WWE for their Tribute to the Troops special. "I'm proud to join World Wrestling Entertainment in honoring the greatest fighting force on the face of this Earth, the men and women of the United States military," said Bush in his opening remarks. The message then continues to talk about the sacrifices of the military and how grateful everyone should be for their work. "I also appreciate the talent and performers and WWE personnel for supporting our troops. Over the past eight years, they have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our men and women in uniform. WWE Superstars has bolstered morale at military hospitals, help send care packages to our soldiers overseas and supported our military families. The WWE offers free tickets to their shows for military personnel in the States. It does all this and more," added Bush in his video message. This message will be airing before the Tribute to the Troops show starts on NBC which is on December 20 at 9PM EST. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)
