Melina Responds To 'Hateful People', Val Insults Posted by Steve Carrier on 04/16/2011 at 07:26 PM
Melina posted the following message yesterday on her Twitter account in response to the negativity she has been engulfed with as of late.
"In Dublin. Such a beautiful day. Listening to TI-Live Your Life. There are hateful people trying to hurt others to make themselves feel better.
"People... Just live your life. Enjoy today peeps and love the people who are there for you to the fullest."
Meanwhile, former WWE star Val Venis, who posted an inflammatory video directed towards Melina and boyfriend John Morrison earlier this week, has continued to besmirch the "Sexy, Smart and Powerful" WWE Diva. "If Melina is on your flight, I am sure u could easily become a member of the mile high club."

Hulk Hogan Comments on Desmond Wolfe's TNA Status Posted by Steve Carrier on 04/17/2011 at 02:00 PM
Hulk Hogan addressed Desmond Wolfe's status with TNA Wrestling Friday on his Twitter account.
When asked when fans can expect Wolfe to return to television, Hogan responded, "Desmond's situation is beyond TNA's control, the ball is completely in his court."
Wolfe and Magnus were scheduled to face Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at No Surrender, but were pulled from the event at the last minute, with the organization citing a "personal issue" as the reason. The Pro Wrestling Torch reported that according to multiple sources within TNA, Wolfe was pulled from the pay-per-view event due to concerns with concussion side effects.
His on-screen absence was explained by Magnus, who claimed that in an attempt to become a dual athlete, Wolfe had traveled to London to tryout for Chelsea F.C.
Company president Dixie Carter announced on November 21, 2010 that Wolfe would be returning to television. On the December 16, 2010 edition of iMPACT!, Magnus met his former tag team partner Douglas Williams and informed him that Wolfe would be returning soon, while also telling him that they had gotten rid of Chelsea. Wolfe made his return in a non–televised segment at the December 10, 2010 iMPACT! taping when he and Magnus saved Douglas Williams from Fortune members AJ Styles and Rob Terry. The segment, however, did not air on the January 6, 2011 iMPACT telecast. Wolfe has not appeared for the organization since then.

SmackDown results: Opportunity lost and found By: Michael Burdick April 15, 2011 Tags: SmackDown: April 15, 2011, Edge, Christian ALBANY, New York – Four days after World Heavyweight Champion Edge announced his shocking retirement from WWE, The Rated-R Superstar officially surrendered the World Heavyweight Championship. And Christian honored his lifelong friend by capturing the opportunity to face No. 1 contender Alberto Del Rio for the vacant World Title at Extreme Rules.
Christian triumphed in a No. 1 Contender’s World Heavyweight Championship Battle Royal (WATCH | PHOTOS) With Alberto Del Rio sitting ringside, Christian heroically outlasted 19 other Superstars to become his aristocratic adversary’s opponent in a Ladder Match at Extreme Rules that will decide the next World Heavyweight Champion (Match preview).
As Captain Charisma battled former World Champion Jack Swagger in the final moments of the mega Battle Royal, Del Rio grabbed Christian’s ankle, trying to eliminate the former ECW Champion from outside the ring. Aggressively freeing himself from his interfering foe, Christian lowered the ropes, sending the charging All-American American crashing down to his defeat. As the smoke cleared, Edge himself emerged to congratulate his former tag team partner on his monumental accomplishment.
The intense Battle Royal also saw WWE Tag Team Champion Justin Gabriel eliminate fellow Corre member Wade Barrett – just moments after they worked together to get rid of the monstrous Kane. Although he started strong by eliminating three Superstars, Big Show’s momentum sent both him and Ezekiel Jackson over the ropes and out of contention. And Rey Mysterio eliminated his bitter adversary Cody Rhodes, shortly before Michael Cole sacrificed his body to The Ultimate Underdog’s 619 in order to save his Extreme Rules tag team partner Jack Swagger from taking the hit.
Kelly Kelly def. Layla (WATCH | PHOTOS) Despite a tumultuous session of “couples counseling,” a noticeably annoyed Michelle McCool accompanied Layla to her single’s match. When Kelly Kelly gained the advantage over the English-born Diva outside the ring, Michelle opted to throw her war-torn partner-in-flawless back into action. This allowed Kelly Kelly to roll the disoriented beauty up for the three-count. After the match, Michelle shoved Layla to the canvas and exited alone.
Edge surrendered the World Heavyweight Championship (WATCH | PHOTOS) In one of the most heartfelt moments in SmackDown history, Edge emerged to relinquish the World Heavyweight Title. Displaying an extremely positive attitude in the face of his forced retirement, the 11-time World Champion thanked every member of the WWE Universe and stepped out of the spotlight. For more on Edge’s extraordinary career, click here. Rey Mysterio def. Drew McIntyre (WATCH | PHOTOS) In an extremely vicious showdown between Rey Mysterio and Drew McIntyre, The Ultimate Underdog overcame the sheer brutality of The Sinister Scotsman, hitting a 619-splash combination for the victory.
Rey Mysterio attacked Cody Rhodes (WATCH | PHOTOS) Despite Cody Rhodes’ victory over Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania, the bitter Superstar made it clear that he won’t let his obsession with The Master of the 619 go. Mysterio soon charged to the ring, sending the self-conscious second-generation Superstar away with a 619 to his mid-section.
Ezekiel Jackson def. Kofi Kingston (WATCH | PHOTOS) While Ezekiel Jackson competed in an intense match with Kofi Kingston, his fellow Corre members sat in with the SmackDown announce team, displaying obvious friction with each other. When “The Personification of Domination” hurled his high-flying opponent directly on top of his faction brethren, Wade Barrett rushed toward the ring in an absolute rage. This distraction allowed Jackson to hurl Kofi to the canvas and pick up the huge win.
GM Theodore Long decided the future of the World Heavyweight Championship (PHOTOS) Just four days after Edge announced that a serious injury was forcing him to retire from WWE, the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship Alberto Del Rio came forth, suggesting that The Rated-R Superstar present him with title.
SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long informed the elitist Superstar that instead, his new opponent for the World Title Ladder Match at Extreme Rules would be determined in a 20-Man Over-the-Top-Rope Battle Royal. Del Rio then proclaimed that he is glad to be the Superstar that forced Edge to retire.
Mickie James on Her Injury, Edge Retiring, More Posted by Steve Carrier on 04/15/2011 at 01:25 PM
Busted Open satellite radio show with Mickie James Hosts: Dave LaGreca and Doug Mortman Airs Mondays and Wednesdays on Sirius 125 and XM 241 from 2-4 ET Visit Facebook.com/bustedopen for more information
James on her match at Lockdown and wrestling with a separated shoulder: "I’m really excited about it. I’m going in there with a separated shoulder and hopefully be able to tough through the match. I’m feeling better every day honestly and trying to get more range of motion back and I definitely hope physically to be 100 percent. I don’t think my shoulder will be 100 percent but luckily it’s my left shoulder and I’m a righty, so that kind of helps."
James reflects on the tremendous cage match she had with Tara on Impact a few months back: "That match with Tara was the first cage match I’ve ever been in. That was definitely a very scary thing. I don’t think I thought about it beforehand how high the cage actually is and how scary it is. You see the guys do the crazy stuff like that all the time and its like they think nothing of it…..or maybe the same things running through their mind when actually they get up there and they go ‘Oh God, this is really high!’. There definitely is a lot of pressure because it was such an amazing match in itself…..to be able to compete against myself in the same kind of match and going in kind of injured anyways, it’s definitely one of those things that I have to be aware of and be careful of."
Mickie's thoughts on Edge’s retirement due to injury: "He’s really just a genuinely nice guy. I have nothing but the upmost respect for him and what he’s done in this industry and the legacy he has built for himself. Before him, the whole ladders match thing with him and the Hardys and that Edge and Christian phase….that was really a raising the bar level on that whole deal and just everything he’s done since then.
"It’s sad that due to injured he has to retire due to the fact that it has taken a huge toll on his body but at least I think it’s very intelligent of him and it’s a huge pride swallowing thing to recognize the fact that ‘I can’t physically do this, I’m putting my life on the line, it’s not just my body anymore.’. And for him to have to do that and I’m sure its not something that he wanted to do at this moment in time and it was something that we all have to come to terms with, we all can’t wrestle forever…..but I think that he is so talented that theres many other things that he can do that’s gonna continue to keep him out and about and doing things."
James n Kurt Angle re-signing with TNA: "I love Kurt. He’s awesome. He’s got so much going for him with the Angle Foods thing and that’s starting to take off and it’s a really cool thing. He has such a name for himself anyways and to be the only male to hold an Olympic gold medal, everything he’s already done……I’m sure he doesn’t have to continue to wrestle but he just loves it so much. He has such a huge passion and love for this business. It’s just amazing. I think we’re very honored to have him as a part of the roster."
Mickie’s mid-term report card on TNA (with her being on the roster for about six months or so now): "I’m having a blast. It was definitely something that I was still on the fence whether or not I should go or not and what I was going to be able to bring or do that is different than anybody else has already done. It’s been a fun journey, a cool locker room, I’ve made some cool friends and I’ve been able to do some really compelling stuff and raise the bar even for myself. To be able to main event Impact, and do my first cage match, and have a cool storyline with Tara go on to Madison and have a compelling storyline with her as well…..I think it’s really…..brought a different spice to the show. Hopefully, they (TNA) feel the same."

This challenge is the Power of the Punch challenge and the highest score wins 4 points.

There is only one man left and it is Lucky Cannon. Lucky does not take his robe off and he tells Matt that he is above this. He says that he is not here to play games, he is here to win championships.
Lucky gets disqualified and that means that your winner is Titus O’Neill and he now has 13 Redemption Points.
Lucky takes the mic from Matt and he says that this show is about him. He tells Maryse that she needs a man on her level and he says that he is that person.
Yoshi Tatsu comes out and Lucky wants to know what is wrong with him and he wonders if Ted knocked some sense into his skull. Lucky suggests that since he is main event talent, why not main event NXT tonight.

We are back and JTG comes out and then we look at the bet between JTG and Vladimir Kozlov last week.
JTG is in the ring and he introduces his rookie ‘Head Crack Novak aka Mr Redemption; Jacob comes out to the ring and he looks like a white version of Shad Gaspard. The crowd is shocked at the new look Jacob Novak.
Jacob tells JTG that he feels like there are a lot more pros in WWE who could make him a star. With him, it has been five weeks and he hasn’t earned a single redemption point. Jacob says that he doesn’t even like the Yankees. He says that he knows how people feel about him and he knows how Mr. Regal feels about him too. Jacob says that he knows that if Regal had time with him, he could make him a star. Jacob asks Regal what he thinks.

Raw results: Unwelcome additions By: Greg Adkins April 11, 2011 Tags: Raw: April 11, 2011 BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut – On an emotional evening for the WWE Universe, the WWE Champion's plans proved too clever by half, the former Divas Champion appeared to see double and the Rated-R Superstar offered up one heartfelt farewell address.
Five-Man Gauntlet Match ended with R-Truth and John Cena in a Double Disqualification; Extreme Rules match arranged (WATCH: PART 1 | PART 2 | EXCLUSIVE | PHOTOS) Five Superstars. One opportunity. The math added up to one grueling Five-Man Gauntlet Match as John Cena, R-Truth, John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton vied for the opportunity to compete against WWE Champion The Miz at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
First up in the random selection, Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler squared off. During their match, members of The New Nexus, sans CM Punk, distracted The Viper long enough for Ziggler to wrap up a pin. Afterward, the men who had each been punted in the skull by Orton, lashed his beaten frame with a vengeful ferocity.
Entering next, R-Truth showed the bleach blond bomber what was up by eliminating him in fourth place. Truth’s former tag team partner, John Morrison, then jumped into the action. Leveraging his familiarity with The Shaman of Sexy, the rapping Superstar overcame the athletic assault.
Finally, it was John Cena’s turn. The Cenation Commander-in-Chief set aside his friendship with Truth and assailed him with a barrage of heavy hits. To his credit, though, Truth held steady, unwilling to relinquish the golden opportunity before him. As the two traded blows, however, they were attacked by WWE Champion The Miz and his lackey, Alex Riley, leading to a double disqualification.
Although the WWE Champion claimed there was no No. 1 contender, the Raw General Manager had other ideas. The anonymous GM announced that there were now two No. 1 contenders for the WWE Championship and that the match at Extreme Rules would be a Triple Threat Match between WWE Champion The Miz, Truth and Cena. Afterward, The Cenation Commander-in-Chief punished Riley, and Truth tackled Miz. Then the rapping Superstar and Cena found themselves in a shoving match before Truth exited the ring.
World Heavyweight Champion Edge announced his retirement (WATCH | PHOTOS) The illustrious career of 11-time World Champion Edge has come to an end. The Rated-R Superstar told the WWE Universe that, due to injury, he can no longer compete in the ring and will retire from competition.
After more than 13 years, The Ultimate Opportunist went out on top as the reigning World Heavyweight Champion – and offered an emotional farewell to his legion of admirers and fellow Superstars.
Jerry “The King” Lawler def. Jack Swagger; Extreme Rules match announced (WATCH | PHOTOS) Michael Cole is the only undefeated Superstar on the WWE roster. Crazy? You bet. The “rat bastard” broadcaster’s perfect record of 1-0 will be on the line again, however, when he teams with Jack Swagger against Jerry “The King” Lawler & Jim Ross in a tag team match at Extreme Rules.
Lawler was allowed to name the match after defeating The All-American American in singles competition. As he and Swagger faced off, Good Ol’ J.R. and Cole looked on from their respective corners. Ross assisted his longtime friend with a well-timed distraction, allowing King to win, and prompting Cole to slap Swagger. As the cowardly announcer scurried off, his WWE Hall of Famer rival gleefully dropped his Extreme Rules bombshell.
The Corre def. “The Apple” (WATCH | PHOTOS) Santino Marella enlisted three Superstar allies to exploit emerging cracks in The Corre once and for all. The Italian introduced “The Apple,” or Allied People Powered by Loathing Everything (The Corre stands for), consisting of Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry & Evan Bourne.
Unfortunately for the newly formed foursome, The Corre took a bite out of their alliance, overcoming their differences to suppress The Apple onslaught.
Sin Cara def. Primo (WATCH | PHOTOS) A week after wowing the WWE Universe with a high-altitude debut, Sin Cara cemented his international celebrity status with an impressive victory over Primo. During the high-flying bout, his Puerto Rican opponent used some pretty punishing chops. The masked Superstar, however, flipped the script on Primo and nailed him with one last inspired aerial from atop the turnbuckle.
Brie Bella def. Divas Champion Eve (WATCH | PHOTOS) In Italian, Bella means “beautiful.” In WWE, though, it’s come to mean something downright ugly. In her match against Divas Champion Eve, Brie Bella resorted to lowdown trickery to capture the Butterfly Title. After she and her sister, Nikki, failed to capitalize with “Twin Magic,” Brie took advantage when her twin nonetheless distracted Eve long enough for her to pin the lovely Latina.
Five-Man Gauntlet Match arranged There’s no shortage of ambition in WWE. When John Cena expressed interest in battling WWE Champion The Miz again for another opportunity at the title, four other Superstars quickly joined the chorus, including Randy Orton, John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth.
Each man made their case for a title opportunity, until the anonymous Raw General Manager intervened. The GM debuted a new concept, a Five-Man Gauntlet Match, initially pitting two randomly selected Superstars and allowing the winner to continue on to face the next random opponent. The Superstar who can go the distance would become the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship and will face The Miz at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
Hulk Hogan has been posting pictures on Twitter, showing off his back rehab process. Hogan has been working out a lot and it appears as if his back surgeries have been a success as he looks better than he has in quite some time.
-- While there is no confirmation just yet, it is possible that Hogan will be returning to the ring later this year. TNA has been hinting at an Anderson vs. Hogan feud.
Indy promotion blasts Scott Hall over incident Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 04/11/2011 at 10:43 AM
Top Rope Promotions owner Steve Ricard sent out this statement regarding the Scott Hall incident:
Top Rope Promotions has been holding family oriented wrestling shows for 30 years now, and on our 30th Anniversary event, we brought in one of the biggest names in pro wrestling, Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon).
We drew a packed house and a good majority of them were there to see Hall. Hall and his people down in FL had all claimed he was clean and good to go. His flight and hotel were pre paid, and his appearance fee was demanded upon arrival at the airport (which he asked for within 3 min of being picked up).
Hall had arrived in a wheel chair with 3 bottles of prescription pills in his posession. Hall had performed an interview with our local newspaper The Herald News around 6 PM on Thursday night, saying how much he was looking forward to coming to the show, and how he was clean. Less then 24 hrs later, he showed up in the state he was in, demanding his appearance fee. Right off the bat, we were in a bad situation.
Having Hall at the building, already pre paid with his appearance fee, hotel, flight, etc. He even harassed my driver in the process. Hall was persistent to appear on the show. His heart was in the right place, unfortunately I can't say the same about his mind or his body.
Throughout the night he made threats to numerous members of my staff, as well as myself demanding more money, demanding to go to the ring when he wanted to etc. He was also threatening to kill me if I "screwed" him over. I'm 31 years old and I should be in no circumstances, babysitting someone in there 50's. Hall made at best, an embarrassing performance in the ring and for the fans who came to see him, trashing matches that were on the show before him and addressing the crowd as if we were in England.
Neither Hall, nor anyone who helped line up the date, or any of his close friends or agents have called to apologize or offer a refund for his "less then stellar" appearance. He showed his true colors and who he was this past Friday night. If he's upset that we're airing a stream of this atrocious appearance, maybe he should issue an apology to the fans, the promotion, and the workers of the company. One would only assume that no one that night got what they paid for, myself included.
