Paul London's Message For Matt Hardy, Whether He'd Go To TNA

Interview highlights courtesy of The Mayhem's official correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:

How he was approached to join Dragon Gate USA: "I've known Gabe (Sapolsky) for several years from Ring Of Honor, and he contacted me and said whenever I'm ready to wrestle for us & if you're interested, let me know. I was definitely interested, and Dragon Gate is pretty high caliber, one of the higher calibers in my opinion. I'm excited for it and just tyring to add what I can."

What his morale is like now being part of DGUSA after his time in the WWE & what the fans can expect from him now: "Say you create something, and imagine knowing that you can definitely offer way more than you are, and you're willing to do that night in & night out yet, that's not the confines of working. You're working with something much smaller, much more censored, and I think as a result, much more exaggerated for the negative. That's the environment you're working in when you're working with the entertainment industry & the WWE. You're going to work and walking into an editing room. On one hand, it makes your work more creative, but it's almost like having a studio chop up everything you do. That's where a lot of the frustration comes in. I'm just a...I don't even know if calling myself a prop would be very fair even. They either care about your ideas or they couldn't care less. That's what I dealt with."

If he was approached to return to TNA upon leaving World Wrestling Entertainment & how appealing is TNA/the X-Division to him currently (and if a return to TNA could be down the pipeline this year): I do keep up with the product some, because I have some friends there; obviously Brian (Kendrick) is working there now. It's a interesting show. A lot of it is very similar, but with of it, it has digressed in some parts. It takes two to tango, and I don't really feel that TNA has any interest in having me there or they would have made a stronger effort than they did. Instead, they made a pretty lousy & insulting effort almost a year ago to be honest with you. I don't have much interest at this point, so I could go to another place & be unappreciated...No thanks."

Paul's thoughts on some WWE Superstars who may bad-mouthed him on his way out of the company, including a message to Matt Hardy: "He doesn't count. I'm talking about people that matters like friends of mine. That doesn't matter to me. I meant real comments from real people."

More is contained in this exclusive interview with Paul London, including his candid & uncensored thoughts on whether or not he watches the current WWE product, along with the prospects of meeting (and potentially collaborating with) Bob Saget, who is rumored to be filming selected scenes of his A&E reality show using Dragon Gate USA as the backdrop. Experience some of the hottest wrestling action of the year next weekend in Phoenix as part of WrestleMania weekend by checking out "Open The Ultimate Gate" & "Mercury Rising," as part of DGUSA's desert double-shot.

John Morrison & R-Truth def. The Hart Dynasty
    Luke Gallows def. Rey Mysterio
Undertaker def. Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre (Non-Title)

LOS ANGELES – With The Grandest Stage of Them All just nine days away, Shawn Michaels ambushed an unsuspecting Undertaker, CM Punk accepted Rey Mysterio’s WrestleMania challenge, and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho got the better of Edge.

    WrestleMania coverage

Undertaker def. Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre (PHOTOS | WATCH)
While Undertaker will soon defend his 17-0 streak at WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre was looking to keep his own undefeated streak alive in a non-title match. Despite his best efforts, the champion was no match for The Phenom’s vicious leg drop, chokeslam and Tombstone.

After the match, as The Deadman made his way to the top of the exit ramp, he was greeted by Shawn Michaels who – after scuffling with his WrestleMania opponent – downed him with some hard-hitting Sweet Chin Music!

Rey Mysterio accepted CM Punk’s WrestleMania challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After being tormented in front of his family last week, Rey Mysterio eagerly accepted CM Punk’s challenge for a WrestleMania match. However, The Master of the 619 wanted their differences to be settled in a Street Fight! Not willing to give in to Mysterio’s request so easily, Punk demanded that he beat Luke Gallows in a match on SmackDown – or their WrestleMania encounter would be a straight up match. Piling on the stipulations, CM Punk declared that if Rey touches him before WrestleMania, their match is off. And if The Ultimate Underdog loses at WrestleMania, he must take the Straight Edge pledge!

Luke Gallows def. Rey Mysterio (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After stinging Luke Gallows with the 619, Rey Mysterio appeared to be on his way to victory – and a Street Fight with CM Punk. However, as Mysterio set up on the top ropes, Serena grabbed his feet, causing him to fall to the canvas. Gallows capitalized, covering Mysterio for the win. Frustrated with the outcome, Mysterio launched into an uncharacteristic vicious attack on Gallows outside of the ring. The loss means Mysterio will now face CM Punk in straight up match at WrestleMania. (Match preview)

World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho attacked Edge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Last week, Chris Jericho got the better of Edge on the “Highlight Reel” by smashing him in the head with his title. On this night on “The Cutting Edge,” it looked like it was Edge’s turn when he tossed Jericho from the ring and Speared his WWE NXT Rookie, Wade Barrett. But, the champion got back in the ring and dropped Edge with the Codebreaker. Who will prevail in just nine days? (Match preview)

Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler def. Matt Hardy & MVP (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In a little more than a week, all four Superstars in this tag team match will square off in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania. The shining star on this night was Dolph Ziggler, who downed MVP with the Zig Zag. Afterward, Ziggler set up a ladder in the middle of the ring and climbed to the top to grab hold of the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. Who will capture the briefcase when it really counts? (MITB preview)

Beth Phoenix & Tiffany def. Women’s Champion Michelle McCool & Layla (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With a Glam Slam, Beth Phoenix dropped the Women’s Champion for the win for her team. After the match, Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero demanded an apology from The Glamazon for hitting her with a clothesline last week. Beth obliged with an apology, but that still wasn’t good enough for Guerrero. Next week it will be Vickie vs. Beth in a match on SmackDown!

John Morrison & R-Truth def. The Hart Dynasty (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With a fast-striking Lie Detector, R-Truth downed Tyson Kidd for the victory for his team. Although the win was a nice momentum boost, is it enough for Morrison & Truth to topple Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show & The Miz at WrestleMania? (Match preview)

The Rock’s WWE Return This Summer

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will in fact be returning to WWE this summer – and his return will be more than just a one-night gig hosting RAW.

In a radio interview with Boston’s Mix 104 last month, Johnson shed some new light on his return, which is expected to take place this summer.

When asked if he plans on wrestling a match in WWE this summer, The Rock said:

“How I would come back is a different capacity than what Hulk Hogan did or I believe Ric Flair is doing. Those guys are coming back to actually wrestle. I don’t want to wrestle; I have no intention of wrestling a match.”

.. at least that’s what he’s saying. So if he’s not wrestling, what’s the plan?

The Rock plans on having a major impact on WWE programming and could serve as a semi-permanent RAW Guest host for the entire summer:

“I do have intention of going back and hosting the show. Hosting a show like that would give me the opportunity to get on the microphone, rip open the writing, and invite guests on to come host with me. We wanted to create something cool and big and fun for the audience.”

The Rock’s WWE return appears to be this summer’s big angle. Two years ago, WWE went with “Million Dollar Mania” to spice things up. Last year, Donald Trump “bought” Raw and kicked off the weekly Guest Host storyline. While The Rock claims that he currently has no plan to get back in the ring when he returns to WWE in a few months, his presence alone on WWE television should be enough to heat things up this summer headed into SummerSlam.

The Bella Twins def. Jillian & Katie Lea
Christian, Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu def. Jack Swagger, William Regal & Zack Ryder

On “WWE Superstars” nearly half of this year’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match participants collided in a pair of heated contests. The matches saw both Kane and Christian build momentum heading into WrestleMania XXVI, as The Bella Twins picked up a win in a palette-cleansing Divas tag team match.

Christian, Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu def. Jack Swagger, William Regal & Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The main event of “WWE Superstars” saw six Raw ring warriors collide in a massive three-on-three tag team battle. While Christian and Jack Swagger both sought to send a clear message about their chances in the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match, their partners were no less determined to make an impact. Ultimately, however, it was Captain Charisma who chalked up a win after hitting Zack Ryder with the Killswitch.

The Bella Twins def. Jillian & Katie Lea (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The team of Jillian & Katie Lea was seeing double on “WWE Superstars” as they took on The Bella Twins in a tag team match. Despite their opponent’s aggressive in-ring tactics, Brie & Nikki Bella persevered, winning the match and in the process proving that they are more than just a couple of pretty faces.

Kane def. Shelton Benjamin (PHOTOS | WATCH)
“WWE Superstars” opened with a colorful clash, pitting The Big Red Monster against The Gold Standard. With the Money in the Bank Ladder Match (and the possibility of a guaranteed World Title Match) little more than a week away, both SmackDown Superstars fought ferociously, but in the end it was Kane who defeated Shelton Benjamin with a thunderous chokeslam.

HOGAN VECHT VOOR EEN TIJDJE NIET MEER

    - Hulk Hogan was in tremendous pain after last week's TNA Impact tapings. He was icing his back for a long time. Hogan has been protecting his back in the ring and only did a few bumps but still is hurting. Right now Hogan's not expected to wrestle anytime soon but that could always change.

CM Punk & Darren Young def. Matt Hardy & Justin Gabriel
The Great Khali def. Daniel Bryan
    Heath Slater def. Michael Tarver
    Wade Barrett def. Skip Sheffield

LOS ANGELES – Rookies and Pros continued to clash during week four of competition on WWE NXT. Several Rookie standouts continued their upward climb, impressing the WWE Universe with their in-ring abilities, while some fell once again, possibly diminishing their chances at becoming the next Raw Superstar.

Wade Barrett def. Skip Sheffield (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Rookie Skip Sheffield looked for his first WWE NXT victory, but without the expert guidance of his ring veteran Pro, William Regal, he came up short against an increasingly dominant Rookie, Wade Barrett. The Cornfed Meathead tried to talk strategy with The British Brawler before his match, but their meeting was filled with bickering – something that arguably weighs on the performance of Sheffield, whose record fell to 0-2. Will Sheffield charm his standoffish Pro – and the WWE Universe – before it’s too late?

On the other hand, Barrett has found his perfect mentor in World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho. Their abrasive, cocky personalities click, and Jericho seems to have the utmost confidence in the brawling abilities of his brash, money-hungry Rookie. Under the World Heavyweight Champion’s supervision, Barrett has increased his record to 2-1, and shows no signs of slowing down. Who will step in the ring next with Barrett? Will Jericho’s leadership send the Rookie down the path of Superstardom?

Heath Slater def. Michael Tarver (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The one-man rock band continued his hot streak on WWE NXT. With his Pro, Christian, watching from the locker room area alongside Michael Tarver’s Pro, Carlito, Rookie Heath Slater defeated Tarver. But after the match, a frustrated and angry Tarver leveled Slater, sending a strong message to him and the WWE Universe – despite a 0-2 record, Tarver isn’t backing down. Slater’s confidence had been the rise and his impressive record jumped to 3-0. But after this attack, will Slater continue to rock the WWE Universe? How will Christian, who seems to be his perfect teacher, guide him on his quest to become a Superstar? And will Tarver finally find his groove and earn a victory under the watch of the devious Carlito?

The Great Khali def. Daniel Bryan (PHOTOS | WATCH)
While WWE Pro The Miz was not on WWE NXT, he took the opportunity to arrange a special match for his mentee. Rookie Daniel Bryan was put to an immense test, this time by his largest opponent yet, The Great Khali. The Miz should be pleased to know The Punjabi Giant defeated the Rookie, who is now 0-4. However, Bryan showed an impressive effort against his huge opponent, even bringing him to his knees. Then, The Miz's fellow Unified Tag Team Champion, Big Show, appeared and chokeslammed Bryan. Will the valiant Bryan be able to rebound from another loss on WWE NXT?

CM Punk & Darren Young def. Matt Hardy & Justin Gabriel (PHOTOS | WATCH)
While CM Punk hasn’t completely convinced his Rookie, Darren Young, to drop his South Beach party boy habits and convert to the Straight Edge lifestyle, he has guided him to victory more than once. On WWE NXT this week, Young earned a tag team victory when he pinned Pro Matt Hardy after Punk hit him with the Go To Sleep when the official wasn't watching. With the Straight Edge Superstar on his side, Young has been unstoppable, and has increased his record to 2-1. But will Young change his life and join the Straight Edge Society? That may not happen this week, as after Young’s win, he was attacked by SES member Luke Gallows, who hit the Gallows Pole on Young, as well as Hardy and his Rookie, Justin Gabriel, as a sign of solidarity as Punk and Serena smugly looked on. As for Gabriel, his once-perfect record dropped to 2-1.

Also, WWE NXT host Matt Striker announced that in two weeks, the WWE Pros will evaluate the NXT Rookies. Which Superstar hopefuls will make the grade?

WWE officially bans chair shots to the head
    File:Chairshot.jpg
    Credit: PWInsider.com

According to a report by the Hartford Courtant, WWE officially banned chair shots to the head at the onset of 2010.

The article talks about Linda McMahon's senate run and WWE spokesperson Robert Zimmerman sent the following e-mail to the writer of the article:

“In January 2010, WWE amended its Talent Wellness Program, specifically regarding the ImPACT™ Concussion Management Program originally instituted in 2008, eliminating the use of folding chairs or props to 'strike' an opponent in the head. Prior to this policy change, The Tables, Ladders and Chairs event in question took place on December 13, 2009. Incidentally, no performer suffered a concussion during the TLC event.”

The company’s concussion program features annual examinations of talents as well as evaluations of whether they can return to active competition following head trauma.

The verbiage involving chair shots reads as follows:

*The WWE has eliminated using folding metal chairs to “strike” an opponent in the head.

*The WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension the following:

-The intentional use of a folding metal chair to “strike” an opponent in the head.

-Any blow to the head that is deemed an INTENTIONAL act.

*The fine and/or suspension will be directed by the EVP of Talent Relations.

    TNA Impact Results
    March 15, 2010

    TNA Impact Opener:
[Q1] Highlights of Sting's return and heel turn from last week were shown. His quick loss to and beating of Rob Van Dam was featured. The show ending angle with Hulk Hogan, Abyss, A.J. Styles, Ric Flair, Desmond Wolfe, The Pope, and the returning Jeff Hardy closed the highlight package...

A brown Hummer pulled up and Hogan, Abyss, Hardy, and RVD exited together. Abyss was driving. The new opening video and music aired, and RVD was added to it, and fireworks lit up the Impact Zone. A.J. Styles and Ric Flair made their way to the ring...

With Flair standing solemnly next to him, Styles cut a promo belittling Abyss for believing a "magic ring" could assist him in becoming the TNA World Heavyweight Champion on Sunday. Styles recalled past matches between the two and called himself a gift from God. The fans chanted "Turn his mic off." Ouch.

Flair took the mic and admittedly was out of control. He took off his suit jacket and made reference to his ground beef forehead. Flair made himself bleed heavily and said he hated Jeff Hardy. He called Styles the champ and himself the boss. He called out Hardy and he obliged, complete with a Jericho and Christian-like countdown video.

Hardy had skeleton-like face paint and a stylish cap on. Styles screamed at Hardy and asked him who the hell he thought he was. He called him a nobody. Flair got in his face too. Styles challenged Hardy to a match tonight. The fans chanted "Hardy" and Jeff pointed at them.

Hardy said it would be "a breeze." Flair went nuts and told Hardy to "get high" backstage. Hardy said he would be "flying high on the backs of his creatures of the night." He let out a wolf howl/woooo as the lights went out and his music played. He posed for the crowd...

Backstage, Mick Foley approached Eric Bischoff about what happened last week. Bischoff was pissed at Foley and said tonight Foley would have his head shaved so he will look "more corporate." Foley said his look was his trademark. Bischoff replied, "Not anymore it's not." ... [C]

[Q2] Tenay and Taz ran down tonight's card. Footage was shown of the Nasty Boys beating the crap out of Jesse Neal with Jimmy Hart shouting encouragement through his megaphone...

In the ring, Brian Knobs said tonight's match would now be a handicap match. Brother Ray came out and said that was not going to be the case. Brother Runt (Spike Dudley) made his return and even up the sides...

    1. The Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart defeated Team 3D and Brother Runt in 3:11. Runt started like a ball of fire but quickly succumbed to the heels. Jimmy Hart tagged in and awkwardly handed off the motorcycle helmet to Knobs as Team 3D stood around. Knobs hit Ray and Hart covered him for the win...

After the match, the Nasty Boys grabbed a table but Jesse Neal hit the ring. They put Knobs through the table and they celebrated...

Backstage, Christy Hemme interviewed Angelina Love. Love said it made her mad that The Beautiful People were the Knockout Tag Team Champions. She placed an open challenge to any of TBP and said she would "rid the world, one Beautiful Person at a time." ... [C]

Jeremy Borash interviewed Scott Hall and Syxx Pac. Hall was wearing that hilarious TNA sweatshirt with "Wolfpac" written on it. Hall said they would win on Sunday and as a result, earn TNA contracts. Kevin Nash and Eric Young approached them.

Nash challenged Hall to "five minutes" on tonight's show and offered him $25,000 if he could beat him. Hall accepted and Nash made a joke about expensive health care...

[Q3] Mr. Anderson and Desmond Wolfe entered to Anderson's music. Kurt Angle and Pope came out to Angle's music...

    2. Kurt Angle and D'Angelo Dinero defeated Mr. Anderson and Desmond Wolfe in 3:27. Angle hit a great overhead belly to belly suplex early on. Pope tagged in and enjoyed some impressive offense despite the bad wheel. The crowd was strongly behind him. He nearly won the match but Anderson broke up the pinfall.

Angle entered to offset the double teaming of the heels. Wolfe attempted to take advantage of Pope's bad leg by applying a figure four leg lock, but Pope countered with a small cradle for the win...

After the match, Wolfe attacked Pope and they fought up the ramp. Anderson attacked Angle and left him laying. He took Angle's "warrior medal" and drove it into the forehead of Angle. Anderson grabbed his house mic and delivered a promo right into Angle's very bloody face. He then hit him with the microphone over and over...

In Hogan's office, he addressed Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam. Apparently, they had been talking already. Hogan told Hardy to take care of Styles and not worry about Flair. He made sure Hardy, RVD, and him were all on the same page. They thanked Hogan and left.

Bischoff entered Hogan's office and was a bit miffed that Hogan brought in Hardy and RVD without telling him. Hogan said Bischoff had other things going and that they were a team. Eric reluctantly said Hogan made a "great call" and that they were cool. Hogan said "that was weird." ...

[Q4] Angelina Love made her entrance. TBP came out to the ramp and Velvet Sky and said Love would face "an honorary member of The Beautiful People." Daffney came from under the ring and attacked Angelina...

    3. Angelina Love vs. Daffney (with The Beautiful People) ended in a no contest in 1:19. The match was thrown out after Daffney grabbed her toolbox and TBP attacked Angelina. They began a four on one attack after the match but Tara hit the ring and hit the Widow's Peak on Madison Rayne. Daffney escaped and they stared each other down from a distance...

Jeff Hardy vs. A.J. Styles was hyped... [C]

Footage of Sting's return, loss to Rob Van Dam, and post match beating of RVD was shown from last week...

Hulk Hogan and his badass music headed out to the ring. The crowd was red hot for his entrance. Tenay said Sting was in the building and Hogan wanted answers from him...

Hogan entered the ring and said, "Cut that damn music." ...

Hogan said lying in a pool of blood next to his partner was "nothing new Jack." He ranted and raved at Sting for selling out and turning on Dixie Carter. He called him a coward and had the camera shoot up in to the rafters. Sting was shown walking around the catwalk and Hogan said he was scared to face him eye to eye.

Sting slowly made his way down the stairs as the cameraman followed him from behind. Hogan said Sting better take his time because he would get the ass whipping of a lifetime. RVD attacked Sting from behind and beat on him around the ring as Hogan watched from the ring. RVD and Hogan did their poses.

[Q5] Van Dam continued the onslaught as the crowd chanted "RVD." Van Dam threw Sting's bat to Hogan and rolled Sting into the ring as well. Hogan was going to hit Sting with the bat but was stopped by Bischoff. "What are you doing? What the hell are you doing?" Bischoff said Hogan was there to lead the company, not to wrestle.

Eric called for security to escort Sting from the ring and to safety. He berated Hogan and reminded him he made a promise to Brooke that he would stay out of the ring. "Be done with it, be done with it Hulk." Bischoff left, Hogan soaked in the moment, and hugged Brooke at ringside...

Backstage, Hernandez told Jeff Jarrett he remembered who gave him his first shot and that he had Jarrett's back against Beer Money. Bischoff was listening and then interrupted. He placed Hernandez in a handicap match with Beer Money and made Jarrett the referee. He said if Jarrett messed up, he was done with the company... [C]

    4. Scott Hall apparently defeated Kevin Nash in a $25,000 Challenge Match in 3:07. Tenay pointed out Hall would get the money if he could last the entire five minutes. Hall wore jeans and his sweatshirt. Typical Hall vs. Nash match. Taz called it "vintage" and said he would trying to say that every Monday night. Funny.

Syxx Pac attacked Nash from behind and they double teamed him. The referee just stood there with the money in his left hand. Eric Young made the temporary save but after handcuffing Nash to the ropes, Hall and Pac beat up Young and ended up with the money, hence making Hall the winner... [C]

[Q6] JB interviewed Beer Money backstage. They explained their heel turn by saying they have been "left in the back like a couple of rookies" since Hogan and Bischoff came to TNA. Bischoff finally gave them an opportunity and they took it by beating up Jarrett. Storm said they would do the same to Hernandez tonight...

    5. Beer Money defeated Hernandez in a handicap match in 3:38. Jarrett was the guest referee. The match was tornado style with both Storm and Roode in the ring at once. Matt Morgan came out but decided to join the announce booth instead of going to the ring.

Morgan heeled it up and said Hernandez wanted to be someone else's partner tonight. He said they needed a warmup match but Hernandez put his nose in someone else's business. After a lot of double teaming, Beer Money scored the pinfall. Jarrett reluctantly made the count and raised the hands of Beer Money...

After the match, Jarrett took off the referee shirt and attacked Beer Money as Hernandez came to and helped Jarrett fight off Beer Money. Morgan had already left the announce booth and headed to the back... [C]

[Q7] With a barber's chair in the ring, Eric Bischoff stood with a microphone. He said Jeff Jarrett's ass would "be mine" next week. He called Foley out to the ring. He sat Foley down but Mick had a change of heart and along with Mr. Socko, applied the mandible claw to Bischoff, knocking him out.

He placed Bischoff in the chair and shaved the middle of his head. The camera showed Bischoff with from behind with his head leaning back. Foley woke Bischoff up and showed him his handy work with a mirror. Bischoff was irate as Foley retreated up the ramp... [C]

Shannon Moore cut a promo backstage about his X Division Championship match on Sunday. Afterwards, a close-up of the Ultimate X was shown. The Motor City Machine Guns were in the ring. Chris Sabin cut a basic promo explaining Ultimate X and then turned up the volume asking what Generation Me has ever done to deserve a spot in the match.

Generation Me came out to the ring. They pointed out they defeated the Machine Guns two months ago. Alex Shelley called it luck and said G-Me was good, but they were great. "We are the X Box to your Atari." After a comment about their girlfriends, a brawl ensued.

Brian Kendrick, Amazing Red, Daniels, and Kazarian entered the ring to involve themselves in the brawl. With ladders, they gave a preview of what will happen on Sunday. Red, from the top of the ladder, hit a somersault plancha on all four heels on the floor. The babyfaces posed on the ladder in the ring...

[Q8] Abyss, tonight's special enforcer in the main event, cut a promo. He said someone was finally jealous of him. He yelled and then delivered Hogan's catchphrases. He is moving away from the jittery and nervous incarnation of himself, which is a good thing... [C]

    6. A.J. Styles (with Ric Flair) vs. Jeff Hardy in a non-title match with Abyss as the special enforcer. Hardy was announced as his previous TNA nickname, "The Charismatic Enigma." Hardy made his entrance and posed in the corner as the show went to commercial... [C]

Styles kicks and punches Hardy and chops him a few times. Styles with an Irish whip and he runs into boots from Hardy. Hardy with a clothesline and slam before going to the turnbuckles for a vintage screaming leg drop for a near fall. Hardy with a reverse chin lock. Styles backs Hardy into the corner and he kicks and punches Hardy before chopping him a few times. Hardy with chops of his own and then he sends Styles into the corner. Styles sends Hardy to the floor and Flair wants to do something but Abyss does his job as special enforcer. Flair throws his jacket at Abyss and then backs away. Styles was going to go to the floor, but then he remembered that he is a heel and doesn’t do it. Styles kicks Hardy as he gets back into the ring. Styles with an elbow to the neck followed by a Phenomenal drop kick for a near fall. Styles works on the leg to set up for the figure four and then he drops onto the leg. Styles tries one too many times and Hardy kicks Styles over the top rope to the ramp. Styles drops Hardy on the top rope. Styles with a rear chin lock. Hardy with elbows followed by a short arm flying clothesline and gets a near fall. Hardy with a running forearm and then he hits the sit out gourdbuster and hits the hesitation baseball slide for a near fall. Hardy with an Irish whip but Styles with an elbow and chop. Styles with an elbow to the head and then he hits a brainbuster on Hardy for a near fall. Styles tries to use the turnbuckles but Hardy blocks it and hits Whisper in the Wind and gets a near fall. Hardy sets for the Twist of Fate but Styles escapes and hits the Pele kick and both men are down. Styles waits for Hardy to get up but Hardy sends Styles to the apron and Styles takes Hardy and the referee down with a springboard cross body. Styles goes to the floor and he takes a chair from ringside. Abyss tells Styles that is a no no. Styles tries for a springboard 450 but Hardy moves and Hardy hits the Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton and hits it. Abyss makes the three count.
    Winner: Jeff Hardy

After the match, Flair hits Abyss with the chair. They go to the ramp and Abyss is using the power of the ring and Abyss finally does the finger point of doom after punching the chair out of Flair’s hands. Abyss with a choke slam that causes the ramp to break.

WWE paying more attention to TNA than expected?
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/15/2010 at 04:24 PM

Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that some in WWE may have been paying more attention to last week's TNA Impact then they may have let on. One WWE source noted that the production team was definitely keeping an eye on Impact and estimated that one of every five TV monitors in the production area were tuned to TNA Impact.

Wat had Mr.Anderson op zijn polsband staan?

Mr. Anderson had "WWLSD" written on his wrist tape in his Impact tag team match. Apparently, it was short for, "What Would Lance Storm Do." Lance Storm has been a vocal critic of the TNA product.

Mick Foley comments on Impact's Monday rating

Mick Foley comments on Impact's Monday rating

Mick Foley posted a new blog on TNAWrestling.com and here are some highlights:

On Monday's Rating: "We kicked off what we all hope will be a very exciting time for the company, with what I felt was an excellent Impact," Foley said in his Friday blog on TNA's website. "I know the rating wasn't quite what we are hoping for, but if we keep delivering the type of show fans saw Monday night, I have to believe that eyeballs will start turning our way and the ratings situation will take care of itself."

On Mr. Anderson: "In wrestling, as in life, anything that's new and different is bound to face criticism, and I know Ken has gotten a little over the past few weeks, but I think his promos have been incredible. ... It really seems like Ken is a new man in TNA, taking advantage of the change in scenery to brighten his star, instead of just living off the star power he brought with him from WWE."

On "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero: "So let me get this straight...Elijah Burke sat on the shelf for months on end, and was eventually dropped from WWE because they didn't have any ideas for him? Hmm, here's an idea. How about giving him a microphone to speak into, and a ring to wrestle in? Seems to be working pretty well."

On Jeff Hardy returning to TNA after January 4: "I've never pretended to know Jeff's thought process, and I kind of only semi-know what brought him to TNA. But I know he feels it was the right move for him - a move that wasn't about money, but about doing what he felt in his heart - and wrestling fans are bound to be much better off for it."

Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. John Cena
Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus ended in a No Contest
Divas Champion Maryse def. Kelly Kelly
Shawn Michaels def. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho by Count-out
Triple H vs. Randy Orton ended in a No Contest
WWE Champion Batista def. Kofi Kingston

SAN DIEGO – When the most popular Superstar in WWE history returns to guest host Monday Night Raw, certain rules apply. First, that Superstar should behave in a manner befitting WWE’s image. Secondly, that Superstar should speak in respectful tones. And lastly, that Superstar should demonstrate sufficient reverence to their former employer.

As “Stone Cold” Steve Austin demonstrated, however, when The Texas Rattlesnake is that Superstar, no rules apply!

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin moderated Bret Hart and Mr. McMahon’s contract signing (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After inviting Mr. McMahon and his WrestleMania opponent Bret Hart to the ring, special guest host “Stone Cold” Steve Austin did what he does best – made The Chairman squirm.

Austin announced that, under his orders, Bret Hart’s father, Stu, would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2010. Austin then recalled how tough The “Hit Man” was in their WrestleMania 13 match as his fellow WWE Hall of Famer signed the match contract. As Mr. McMahon glared across the table at his hobbled opponent’s crutches and broken leg, he also gleefully signed his name to the document. And that’s when the trap was slowly, sweetly revealed.

As Austin departed, he implored Hart to “tell Vince.” Much to Mr. McMahon’s chagrin, The Excellence of Execution then tossed his crutch aside, removed his cast and informed the man who had screwed him more than 12 years earlier that his leg was perfectly fine. He also told a shocked Chairman that if he tried to back out of their match, he would sue him for every cent just before he clobbered The Chairman with his cast. As a final verbal backhand, Hart paraphrased Mr. McMahon from 12 years ago: "Vince just screwed Vince.”

Pete Rose will serve as Raw’s special guest host next week
The man many call the greatest baseball player ever, Pete Rose, will be honored next week as Raw’s special guest host. As a man who has seen action inside of a WWE ring, the WWE Hall of Fame Inductee is sure to make things interesting with just six days to go until WrestleMania.

WWE Champion Batista def. Kofi Kingston (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Kofi Kingston has proven himself to be one of the most agile, athletic and fierce competitors in WWE. For Batista, however, he seemed like little more than an appetizer on the way to a colossal entrée. The WWE Champion appeared to send a message to his WrestleMania opponent, John Cena, when he punished Cena’s one-time ally and stood tall in the ring displaying his WWE Title.

2010 WWE Hall of Fame inductee announcement: Gorgeous George (WATCH)
One of WWE’s most innovative and charismatic personalities, Gorgeous George, has been announced as the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2010. The legendary blond wrestler, whose robes were equally as spectacular, became a cultural sensation in the 1940s and 1950s.

Triple H vs. Randy Orton ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With the memory of their epic main event match from last year’s 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania still fresh, Triple H and Randy Orton took up the gauntlet one more time. The two, however, would never reach a conclusion. Instead, their respective WrestleMania foes – Sheamus, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes – interceded. The three attacked, kicking up a five-man melee that resulted in The Game and The Viper being left motionless on the canvas.

WrestleMania Match announcement: Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat Match
The tension that strangled the camaraderie out of The Legacy will be on full display when Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes clash in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania. Will DiBiase and Rhodes continue to join forces against their former mentor? Or will the most important match of their young careers bring out a selfish side?

Shawn Michaels def. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho by Count-out (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Chris Jericho probably thought he was being cute. Rather than continue fighting Shawn Michaels in a rematch from their WrestleMania XIX bout, the World Heavyweight Champion instead lost by deliberately getting himself counted out. Well, the joke was on him when his WrestleMania rival Edge decided to join the festivities. The Ultimate Opportunist battered the World Heavyweight Champion, flipped him into the ring and hammered him with a Spear.

Divas Champion Maryse def. Kelly Kelly (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Perhaps Maryse’s frustration with losing two weeks in a row is beginning to take a toll. Why else would the Divas Champion continue to attack Kelly Kelly even after handily defeating her?

After the conceited Canadian secured the win in a singles match, she set up Kelly Kelly for more punishment, but Eve and Gail Kim bolted in for the save. Just when it appeared Maryse would receive her comeuppance from the three, SmackDown’s Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla shot in to protect her. As Maryse, Michelle and Layla snaked away, Vickie Guerrero emerged to greet them, leaving many in the WWE Universe pondering the strange alliance.

Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The match between Evan Bourne and Sheamus was over before it began. The bell hadn’t yet rung when The Celtic Warrior drove his boot into the high flyer, and a crucifix bomb sent him spilling out of the ring. The fierce Irishman then took to the mic and described how he intends to devastate his WrestleMania opponent, Triple H.

Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. John Cena (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In the first WrestleMania Rewind Match of the night, John Cena faced off against Big Show, his opponent from WrestleMania XX. While the two powerhouses exchanged sturdy blows, it was Cena who finally seemed to best The World’s Largest Athlete as he prepared to slam Show with an Attitude Adjustment. WWE Champion Batista, who will battle Cena at this year’s extravaganza, walked to the ring and distracted Cena enough for one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions to gain his composure before leveling him with a knockout punch.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin opened the show (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In his capacity as Raw’s special guest host, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin let the WWE Universe know just how jubilant he felt being back inside a WWE ring. The Texas Rattlesnake also described how special WrestleMania is, alluding to why he decided to arrange a series of WrestleMania Rewind matches for the night and why he would oversee the contract signing for the Bret Hart vs. Mr. McMahon WrestleMania match.

    STOPT MICHAELS NA WRESTLEMANIA VOORGOED

For what it’s worth, Shawn Michaels has been telling friends as of late he plans on leaving WWE for good following WrestleMania. His contract is set to expire soon and he has talked about wanting to spend more time with his children as they grow up.

While there’s a chance he could stick around on a limited schedule, that’s said to be a long shot at this point right now.

As noted before, Michaels is not advertised for any shows past the night after WrestleMania when RAW emanates from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho gets revenge on Edge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When Jericho tried to launch his WrestleMania No. 1 Contender Edge into the Jeritron 6000 during the climax of the “Highlight Reel,” The Rated-R Superstar countered with an earth-shattering DDT. However, as The Ultimate Opportunist tried to follow up his assault with the Spear, the six-time World Champion nailed him with the World Title. Jericho then mocked The 2010 Royal Rumble winner, chanting “spear … spear … spear!”

The Straight Edge Society torments Rey Mysterio’s family (PHOTOS | WATCH)
As the WWE Universe celebrated the ninth birthday of Rey Mysterio’s daughter with the entire Mysterio family present, The Straight Edge Society interrupted. The Master of the 619 voiced no answer when The Second City Saint challenged him to a WrestleMania Match, nor would Mysterio battle him in front of his family. Punk responded by verbally tormenting Mysterio’s wife and children. Despite his continued taunts, Mysterio escorted his family away without dishing out a single blow.

Kane def. Luke Gallows by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Just when it looked as if The Big Red Monster would overcome Gallows, CM Punk attacked, causing his disciple to be disqualified before delivering a post-match GTS on Kane. But, before he could celebrate, Rey Mysterio returned to the ring, inciting a brawl with Punk that spilled over into the crowd.

R-Truth def. Unified Tag Team and United States Champion The Miz (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Five days after John Morrison & R-Truth’s aggressive no-contest battle with their WrestleMania opponents Show-Miz on Monday Night Raw, Truth defeated the “Awesome One” in singles competition with the Lie Detector. Although The Miz put his feet on the ropes while trying to pin the rapping Superstar, his own NXT Rookie Daniel Bryan pushed them off, paving the way for Truth’s triumph.

Later, in act II of the brutal clashes between the impending WrestleMania Unified Tag Team adversaries, The World’s Largest Athlete reigned supreme. As The Guru of Greatness was leaping off the ropes, Big Show blasted him with a knockout blow to cement the victory.

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre def. local athlete in a Winner Take All Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Having his back-to-back losses “expunged and eradicated” by Mr. McMahon, the “undefeated” Drew McIntyre used the Future Shock to defeat a local athlete, “handpicked” by The Chairman. Unaffected by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long’s Winner Take All Match stipulation – which put both McIntyre’s title and his WrestleMania hopes on the line – “The Chosen One” finally qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Before a tag team winner could be determined, The Undertaker appeared from the darkness to crash the party. The Phenom utilized all of his infamous finishers to lay the four competing Superstars to waste, hitting a chokeslam on Shad, the Last Ride on Tyson Kidd, the Tombstone on David Hart Smith, and Hell’s Gate on JTG.

Which devastating finisher might The Deadman call on to try and overcome Shawn Michaels in their WrestleMania rematch?

Tiffany def. Women’s Champion Michelle McCool by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
SmackDown’s Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero welcomed former ECW General Manager Tiffany to Friday nights with a non-title match against Michelle McCool. SmackDown’s newest Diva put up an impressive showing against the champion, only to be attacked by Guerrero herself.

However, when Guerrero and Team Lay-Cool ganged up on Tiffany after the bell, Beth Phoenix emerged to even the odds. After clearing the ring of both Michelle and Layla, The Glamazon laid out SmackDown’s Official Consultant with a powerful clothesline.
