R-Truth def. Ted DiBiase John Morrison def. Tyson Kidd Santino Marella def. Zack Ryder WWE Champion Randy Orton def. Justin Gabriel Sheamus def. U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan in a Non-Title Match CM Punk def. Evan Bourne The Miz def. John Cena in a No Disqualification Match
SEATTLE With WWE Bragging Rights less than two weeks away, the time had come for the Raw roster to determine which Superstars would carry the brands flag into battle and just who would lead that charge The Miz or John Cena.
The Miz def. John Cena in a No Disqualification Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) John Cenas patience must be wearing thin. The WWEs powerhouse faced The Miz to determine which would be the sixth and captaining member of Team Raw. During the contest, season two NXT Rookies Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty interfered, costing Cena another crucial match just as they had done at Hell in a Cell.
After the bout, Raws anonymous General Manager asserted control and informed the WWE Universe that next week, Harris & McGillicutty must face off against Cena and his tag team partner WWE Champion Randy Orton!
Rubbing salt into his loss, Wade Barrett berated his reluctant disciple and informed him that if Harris & McGillicutty win, they will be allowed to join The Nexus. The Englishman even provoked Cena to attack him, safe in the knowledge that were the "Legendary" star to follow through, he would be unceremoniously terminated from WWE.
Natalya confronted Co-Unified Divas Champions Lay-Cool (PHOTOS | WATCH) WWEs Mean Girls are at it again. The self-proclaimed Co-Unified Divas Champions, Michelle McCool & Layla, trained their infantile insults on Natalya, the No. 1 contender to the Unified Divas Title. After enduring a few pointed verbal jabs, Natalya, the only female to endure the infamous Hart Family Dungeon training grounds, demonstrated that shes unfazed by the taunts. In fact, when Lay-Cool was finished with their gibes, the other Raw Divas came out to confront them and offer Natalya a show of support. Burn!
CM Punk def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH) Prepare to testify! After trading Edge to SmackDown last week, the red brand learned of the latest acquisition: Leader of the Straight Edge Society, CM Punk. The self-righteous Superstar faced Evan Bourne in a Team Raw qualifying match during which he defeated his opponent. After the match, Punk dismantled the high-flyer with a sobering beatdown. So relentless was his aggression, in fact, that Bourne needed to be attended to by medics.
Sheamus def. U.S. Champion Daniel Bryan in a Non-Title Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) Daniel Bryan has proven hes one quick study. After getting destroyed by Sheamus last week, the United States Champion came out swinging in their rematch. From the moment the bell sounded, Bryan went on offense. Unrelenting in his approach, the U.S. Champion ultimately proved unable to surmount the power and determination of The Celtic Warrior, who persevered to capture the fourth slot on Team Raw.
WWE Champion Randy Orton def. Justin Gabriel (PHOTOS | WATCH) Despite his 450° Splash, two cohorts in his corner and one huge opportunity, the numbers just didnt add up for Justin Gabriel when the South African Superstar faced WWE Champion Randy Orton. Nexus leader Wade Barrett had hoped Gabriel would damage The Viper in the run-up to their title match at WWE Bragging Rights. However, even with his Nexus cohorts, David Otunga and Heath Slater, attempting to involve themselves in the bout - and eventually getting ejected from ringside - the nimble Nexus member failed to triumph over the dominance of the WWE Champion.
Santino Marella def. Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH) When Zack Ryder faced Santino Marella for a place on Team Raw, The Long Island Loudmouth faded faster than a coat of cheap bronzer. With his pal, Vladimir Kozlov, looking on, Santino leveled Ryder and pinned his shoulders to the canvas for the three-count. After the match, The Italian Stallion received a little extra amore from Tamina, who wrapped him in a silky, yet strong, embrace.
John Morrison def. Tyson Kidd (PHOTOS | WATCH) If you spot David Hart Smith on the side of a milk carton, youll know why. The pedigreed Superstar failed to show for Raw and his Triple Threat Match against John Morrison and Tyson Kidd. As a result, The Guru of Greatness had only to deal with the scrappy Kidd, who The Shaman of Sexy managed to overcome to qualify for Team Raw. As for Hart Smith, come out, come out wherever you are!
R-Truth def. Ted DiBiase (PHOTOS | WATCH) Ted DiBiase missed a golden opportunity. The Fortunate Son battled R-Truth to be the first Superstar to qualify for Team Raw. Although DiBiase appeared to shine during the match, his mettle tarnished when Goldust unexpectedly arrived. The Bizarre One, with both the Million Dollar Title and NXT Rookie Diva Aksana in tow, distracted DiBiase, allowing Truth to capitalize and seize the first spot on Team Raw.
Raw GM arranged matches to determine Team Raw at WWE Bragging Rights; The Miz vs. John Cena to determine captain of Team Raw (PHOTOS | WATCH) John Cena pleaded for understanding. The Legendary star asked for the WWE Universes forgiveness in regards to his forced allegiance to The Nexus. During Cenas heartfelt address, The Miz barged in to make an announcement of his own. Mr. Money in the Bank informed Cena that he had named himself captain of Team Raw at WWE Bragging Rights and requested that the powerhouse sign onto the squad.
Prior to Cena's response, however, Nexus leader Wade Barrett nixed the idea, informing him that he would be needed in his corner during the WWE Title bout against Randy Orton. Thats when Mizs assistant, Alex Riley, opened his big mouth. The season two NXT Rookie blabbed that, yes, Cena should be in Barretts corner, especially in case Miz decides to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. For his part, The Cleveland Screamer appeared none too pleased about losing the element of surprise. Oops!
Before the situation could escalate, Raws anonymous General Manager interceded. He informed the Superstars that he had arranged a series of matches for later in the evening to determine to makeup of Team Raw at WWE Bragging Rights. He also orchestrated a match between The Miz and Cena to establish the captain of Team Raw.
After the GMs announcement, Miz and Riley ambushed the leader of The Nexus, who summoned Cena to defend him. The reluctant Nexus member cleared away the two, but then The Awesome One trained his attack on Cena. The Legendary star overcame the assault and meted out a severe punishment for Riley. As Cena celebrated in the ring, though, his English overlord berated him for not instantly rushing to his defense.
Update on a possible Batista WWE return Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 10/10/2010 at 12:50 PM
Credit: F4WOnline.com
Dave Meltzer recently spoke to Batista and isn't sure where the recent quote came from where Batista talked about coming back to the WWE. According to Meltzer, Batista is still open to returning to WWE down the line but isn't going to back anytime soon. He is still training for MMA and told Meltzer that he feels a lot better physically than he did while in WWE. Batista put over Vince McMahon but talked about how the road schedule burned him out. While MMA is still a possibility, it seems more likely that he'll try to get into acting.

Edge def. Jack Swagger Self-professed co-Unified Divas Champion Layla def. Kelly Kelly WWE Tag Team Champions Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre def. Kofi Kingston & Kaval Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler def. MVP - Intercontinental Championship Match Rey Mysterio def. Alberto Del Rio
TOPEKA, Kan. The Ultimate Underdog Rey Mysterio overcame the odds yet again, roaring back from a serious wrist injury to give his attacker, Alberto Del Rio, his first loss on SmackDown.
Rey Mysterio def. Alberto Del Rio (PHOTOS | WATCH) After suffering a broken wrist at the hands of Alberto Del Rio which sidelined him for more than a month Rey Mysterio returned to action, focused on retribution. Del Rio arrived in style, driving a brand-new Rolls Royce and looking to finish off his masked adversary.
But when Del Rios personal announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, elected to get involved in the explosive match, The Ultimate Underdog fired back. Using his incredible athletic ability to hurl Del Rio into Rodriguez, Mysterio hit his aristocratic nemesis with a 619-splash combination, taking the smile off his face as he handed him his first loss since coming to WWE.
Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler def. MVP in an Intercontinental Championship Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) On WWE NXT this past Tuesday, Vickie Guerrero was pinned by her NXT Rookie Diva, Kaitlyn, thanks in part to an apparently accidental distraction by Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. Following the match, Kaitlyn hugged Ziggler, leaving Guerrero absolutely livid.
Back on SmackDown still visibly upset over the incident SmackDowns Official Consultant walked out on Ziggler during his title match against MVP. However, when Kaitlyn emerged and grabbed The Ballin Superstars boot, the bleach-blond champion used the distraction to hit the Zig Zag on the Franchise Playa and capture the victory. Following the match, Guerrero emerged, screaming at both her boyfriend and her NXT Rookie Diva.
World Heavyweight Champion Kane and Paul Bearer returned united from Hell in a Cell (PHOTOS | WATCH) After betraying The Undertaker at WWE Hell in a Cell, Paul Bearer enthusiastically emerged to introduce the demented Superstar that single-handedly destroyed the myth of The Phenom, World Heavyweight Champion Kane. The Devils Favorite Demon declared that The Deadman now answers to him. He also claimed that when it comes to his hellish showdown with his brother, they are just warming up.
Kofi Kingston & Kaval vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Dashing Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre (PHOTOS | WATCH) After Cody Rhodes tossed Kofi Kingston out of the ring, Drew McIntyre distracted Kaval long enough for his Dashing partner to execute the Cross Rhodes and secure the victory for the WWE Tag Team Champions. Despite another explosive display by Kaval, his latest defeat reinforced his winless record since proving victorious on WWE NXT season two.
Big Show takes command for WWE Bragging Rights (PHOTOS | WATCH) After Big Show announced that he had been named captain of Team SmackDown at WWE Bragging Rights, The Worlds Largest Athlete introduced the team mascot, Hornswoggle. Next, Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta interrupted, offering to be part of the team on the upcoming pay-per-view. However, Big Show couldnt figure out who they actually were. As The Dudebusters became agitated, the gigantic team captain took Hornswoggles suggestion and executed an earth-shattering double chokeslam on both irate Superstars.
Self-professed co-Unified Divas Champion Layla def. Kelly Kelly (PHOTOS | WATCH) Five days after Natalya defeated Michelle McCool by disqualification in the Unified Divas Championship Match at Hell in a Cell, she accompanied Kelly Kelly to the ring as the beautiful blond Diva prepared to face Layla. The English-born champion triumphed over her sultry opponent with the neckbreaker. However, the self-professed co-Unified Divas Champion fell short in a post-match confrontation with the Hart Dynasty Diva, who nearly locked in the Sharpshooter before Michelle could pull her B.F.F. to safety.
Edge def. Jack Swagger (PHOTOS | WATCH) As Michael Cole the self-proclaimed Voice of WWE joined the SmackDown announce team for the evening, General Manager Theodore Long welcomed back the Superstar who he personally traded for with Monday Night Raw, Edge.
Jack Swagger emerged to take on The Rated-R Superstar, with his Swagger Soaring Eagle in tow. During the extremely personal match-up, Edge truly flipped the bird, Spearing Swaggers endangered mascot off the ring apron. After the eagle was removed on a stretcher, The Ultimate Opportunist went on to reign supreme over The All-American American for the second time in a week, avoiding the ankle lock to blast his adversary with another Spear.
With The Ultimate Opportunist firmly back on SmackDown to continue his personal crusade against stupidity (WWE offers Edge a list of stupidity), the question remains, who if anyone was he traded for?
- According to Kevin Nash, he will be done with TNA after tomorrows Bound For Glory pay-per-view. Nash wrote the following on Twitter:

Nash later wrote no WWE after fans asked if he was leaving TNA for his old stomping grounds.
Batista getting ready to return to WWE? Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 10/07/2010 at 04:50 PM
When reports first broke that Batista was considering a mixed martial arts debut with Strikeforce, many doubted that the former WWE Champion was ever realistically planning to step into a cage fight. Sources, however, persistently said the debut was going to happen, with fellow WWE wrestler-turned-fighter Bobby Lashley being eyed as an ideal first opponent. The persistence, combined with photos of Batista training with Team Cesar Gracie, kept the discussion alive.
But if a quote attributed to Batista from earlier this week proves true, one can officially table the rumors of Big Dave entering the world of mixed martial arts, at least in the near term.
Joint reporting from MMA Supremacy and Bloody Elbow reveals that Batista is no longer planning for an imminent cage debut and is instead looking towards future involvement with WWE.
I will not be doing MMA/Strikeforce any time soon. So you can see me in the future of the WWE, said Batista, according to the story.
The news, which comes in the wake of web stories about Batistas high asking price, should not be surprising.
Heyman goes into detail about his TNA plans Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 10/08/2010 at 05:27 PM
In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Paul Heyman goes into detail about what he had planned for TNA if he had joined the promotion:
"It came real close with TNA. To me, it was more of a deal with Spike TV and then a stock and ownership deal involving TNA. I had a five-year plan. I was going to spend 18 months building the roster, the next 18 months exploiting that built roster, that's three years in, go public in three, stay for two more running it and get out at 50 [years old]. That was my plan. I had an exit plan. I had a five-year plan and I clued everyone into it. I told TNA what my plan was and I told Spike TV what my plan was and how we would capitilaze on it and how we would make this thing move and an acknowledgement that wrestling is a diminishing market and it's not perceived as cool and here's how you, if not change course, at least present it differently so that at least you have a chance in today's marketplace to at least compete."
"When that didn't happen, that was it. I didn't have any other interest in doing it. It was close. I would have done it for that particular deal and that's it. That time passed. Now I'm looking at taking my abilities elsewhere and the logical step for me is this entry point right now both into MMA and into also just the branding world."
Ex-member of McMahon's inner circle joins TNA Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 10/07/2010 at 04:47 PM

Bruce Prichard, a former WWE talent and office staff member, has joined TNAs production staff. He was on hand at a TNA agent meeting held in Orlando earlier today.
Prichard has been out of wrestling since December 2008 and was a key member of Vince McMahons inner circle during his time in WWE. The decision to release him came from Stephanie McMahon because she felt it was time for him to move on, a decision her father mutually agreed with. Prichard was with WWE for 22 years.

Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso def. The Hart Dynasty (PHOTOS | WATCH) Much like the duo of Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith have looked less like a team in recent weeks and more like bickering enemies. The source of The Hart Dynastys problems can be traced back to Night of Champions where they lost their WWE Tag Team Titles in a wild Tag Team Turmoil Match after being defeated by The Usos. On WWE Superstars, The Harts were able to lock up with the men who beat them that night, but the Hart Dungeon-trained duo failed to reclaim the flawless teamwork that helped them rule WWEs tag division. After a big miscue caused Kidd and Smith to brutally bang into each other, Kidd was nailed by top rope splashes from both Jimmy & Jey Uso, leading to another disappointing loss. What will it take for this duo to turn things around?
William Regal def. Darren Young (PHOTOS | WATCH) Since being exiled from The Nexus the night after SummerSlam, Darren Young has struggled to find his way in WWE on his own. The former NXT Rookies woes continued tonight as he tried to score a singles victory over the snide William Regal, but failed to outwrestle the experienced British veteran. As WWEs newest commentator, Scott Stanford observed, Young shows promise, but hell need to step his game up if he wants to make a name for himself in WWE.
Chris Masters def. Vance Archer (PHOTOS | WATCH) Only a few months ago, the team of Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins were making serious waves in WWE after fighting their way into earning SmackDown contracts. But after suffering some disappointing losses in recent weeks, including a Handicap Match against Big Show, the team looked to be splintering. This developing animosity reared its ugly head tonight as Archer and Hawkins erupted into a war of words after a miscue caused Archer to clothesline his partner instead of Chris Masters. But the hostility didnt end there. After Archer lost the match, Hawkins attacked him and nailed him with a huge elbow drop from the top rope. After a brutal act like that, it doesnt take a genius to see where this team is headed.
The show started off with Abyss dragging a histerical Dixie Carter through the back of the iMPACT Zone. He had her handcuffed to himself. Once he was out and amongst the crowd he had one last question for her before Sunday. He asked if she preferred Janice or Bob. Finally Eric Bischoff and security came running out. Bischoff convinced him to let her go. Eric then said to go to a commercial, but we stayed with the action and Stings music began to play. Out walked Sting, Kevin Nash, and The Pope. Then we went to commercial.
Pope started off the talking. He talked about how the walls would come down at Bound For Glory and that theyd come down on Bischoff. After some back and forth Bischoff said it is just about Sting and Hogan. Sting said he was right, that is what its all about. Sting said the only way to end it was for Hogan to get back in the ring at BFG, he asked if he was ready to put it all on the line. Bischoff simply said he had nothng to say to Sting. Then out came Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe. Bischoff stopped them, and told them hed give them an answer. He went on to explain how Hogan was in intensive care after surgery, and then showed a video clip of Hogan in the hospital and having his operation. After the video Bischoff said, if they want to kick his ass then go ahead. He then proposed making the match at BFG a Handicap Match against Joe and Jarrett.
We then suddenly cut to the back where Mickie James was arriving!
After a commercial we see a review of Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle.
Then we see Team 3D in New York City. Brother Ray said at BGF they would be making the biggest announcement of their career.
Match #1: Winner owns the rights to the Beautiful People name and music Match Tara & Madison Rayne vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky Halfway through Angelina and Velvets entrance Tara and Madison attacked. Miss Tessmacher was standing at the top of the ramp taking notes. After a Total Elimination type double team move Angelina got the pin.
As Madison began yelling at Tara, Miss Tessmacher interupted. She went over how the match at BFG would go. She then pointed out that there would be a special guest referee Mickie James! Mickie James pointed out that after she raises the winners hand that shed be coming for the TNA Knockouts Title. She wanted to make history by being the first women to hold every major title known to womenkind. See, moments like this is what make wrestling good. Even though I knew she was going to be on iMPACT! tonight, I got that extra excited feeling when it actually happened. Just like two weeks ago when Paul Bearer made his return. Knew it was going to happen days ahead of time, but when it did it gave me chills.
After a commercial we went to the back where Dixie Carter tells Eric to fire Abyss tonight. He said hed handle it. She said he wants him to do it in the ring in front of everyone and humiliate him like he did to her tonight.
Match #2: Last Man Standing Match Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley Mick Foley came out with his eye bandaged up from where he beat himself to a bloody pulp last week. Flair ripped off the bandage right away and began pounding on the wound. Foley began gushing blood instantly. Foley grabbed a bat wrapped in barbed wire from under the steel ring steps. He hit Flair in the face with it a couple times which obviously cut him wide open. Flair was just gushing blood as he always does when he gets cut open. They fought up the ramp to the announce table. After Foley grinded the barbed wire into Flairs face some more, Flair tossed him off the stage down through a table. Off to a commercial. During the commerical break Flair was beating Foley over the head with a copy of Foleys book Countdown to Lockdown. The fans were now chanting, Lets go Flair! Lets go Foley!. Flair retrieved a bag of thumbtacks from under the ring and spread them out in the ring. It backfired thought when Foley hit him with a Back Body Drop sending him crashing down right on top of the tacks. Foley then went out and got a Barbed Wire Board! After punching him about 20 times Flair went down in the corner. Foley grabbed the board and charged at him. Flair was just writhing in pain. There was blood everywhere! Next Foley went for a table. As he set the table up the fans were chanting fire. When Foley went towards Flair he was met with a couple low blows. Flair then laid him out on the table, grabbed the Barbed Wire Board and slammed it down onto Foley! Flair then climbed to the top rope and hit Foley on the table with a big Splash! In my best Joey Styles voice OH MY GOD! Referee Earl Hebner started a ten count, and Foley got up, Flair almost did, but then colapsed. Both men were a bloody mess.
I was truly concerned going into this match that it would simply be a Battle of the Aged rather than a Battle for the Ages, but WOW I was so wrong. What an incredible match!!! Especially for two old guys! lol After the match Foley grabbed a mic and pointed out that Flair added one stipulation to the match. He told Flair to get back in the ring and kiss his ass just as he said he would. At least Foley was nice about it, he said he wasnt going to pull his trunks down, but Flair was going to kiss his dimpled ass. At that point all of Fortune hit the ring and attacked. Luckily EV2.0 came out pretty quick to put an end to it.
To the back with Eric Bischoff headed out to the ring. He called out Abyss and off to a commercial we went. After the break he was still waiting for Abyss. Instead of Abyss we got Rob Van Dams music and RVDs entrance. He said that if Abyss gets fired tonight and he doesnt get his match against him on Sunday that he is leaving TNA. He kept it short and sweet and left the ring.
We then broke away to tape from Tommy Dreamer and Rhino outside of The Arena, the original ECW arena in Philadelphia with a group of crazed fans. This and the commercial break was obviously just giving them time to clean the ring out before they could move on.
After the break we had a segment with Orlando Jordan teaching Eric Young how to throw a ball at some blocks at an amusement park somewhere. They also talke dabout their upcoming match with Ink, Inc.
Match #3: Orlando Jordan & Eric Young vs. Ink, Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal) Eric had a bunch of fake tattoos on his body and then went over to high five Moore and Neal. Jordan controlled the whole match until Eric caused a distraction and allowed Neal to turn it around and get a tag to Moore. Young actually started helping Moore, even slingshoting him into him in the corner. Jordan then went for a pin and had his feet on the ropes, but EY pointed it out to the ref. Jordan then actually got the pin. EY tackled the ref, then grabbed a mic and after some comedy said he and Orlando forfeit the match. He then proposed they do the match again at BFG.
Then to a clip with Jay Lethal at his childhood home in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Afte rthe break, Dixie, Eric, and RVD are talking in the back. Dixie then signed a form that made it official that win, lose, or draw Abyss is fired on 10-11-10.
Robbie E. and Cookie, aka The Shore came to the ring and grabbed some mics. Dear Lord, this is Zack Ryder multiplied by 100 annoying! Also, someone should show Robbie some video footage of Curry Man so he can see he is doing more Curry Man than he is doing The Situation in his fist pump action.
Match #4: $100,000 Bound For Glory Gauntlet Style Invitational Battle Royal A new competitor will enter every 45 seconds.
Order of entrance and elimination in order: Match started off with Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson first in the ring. Enter: Jeff Hardy Enter: A.J. Styles (Comemrcial) (During the break) Enter: Doug Williams Enter: Sabu Enter: Max Buck Enter: Chris Sabin (Back from commercial) Enter: Tommy Dreamer Enter: Jay Lethal Enter: Jeff Jarrett Enter: The Pope Dangelo Dinero Enter: Robert Roode Enter: Sting (Commercial) (During the break) Enter: Jeremy Buck Enter: Raven Enter: Stevie Richards Enter: Kazarian (Back from commercial) Enter: Abyss 1st & 2nd Eliminations: Doug Williams & Sabu (Clotheslined by Abyss simultaneously.) 3rd Elimination: Jay Lethal (Thrown out by Abyss) 4th Elimination: Stevie Richards (Thrown out by Abyss) 5th Elimination: Chris Sabin (by Abyss) 6th Elimination: Raven (by Abyss) At this point EVERYONE attacked Abyss. Then Sting charged in and Splashed the pile. Sting charged again once the pile had moved. 7th Elimination: Sting (Abyss caught him as he tried for a Splash and tossed him out.) Enter: Kevin Nash Enter: Matt Morgan Enter: Samoa Joe 8th & 9th Eliminations: Matt Morgan & Kevin Nash (by Abyss simultaneously) Enter: James Storm 10th & 11th Eliminations: Max and Jeremy Buck (by Abyss Abyss was sent over the top rope, but was on te apron. Generation Me charged, Abyss grabbed them both by the throat and pulled them out over the rope and to the floor.) Enter: Alex Shelley Enter: Rhino 12th Elimination: Kazarian (by Abyss) 13th Elimination: Rhino (by Abyss) 14th Elimination: Jeff Jarrett (by Abyss) 15th Elimination: The Pope (by Abyss) 16th Elimination: Alex Shelley (by Abyss) 17th Elimination: Samoa Joe (by Abyss) 18th Elimination: Robert Roode (by Abyss) 19th Elimination: James Storm (by Abyss) 20th Elimination: Tommy Dreamer (by Abyss) 21st Elimination: A.J.
