Update on Team 3D's TNA status
Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 09/13/2010 at 11:50 AM

TNA is currently advertising Team 3D for upcoming house show events in New York, Philadelphia and Rahway from September 23-25th. So either they have agreed to new deals with the company or are simply being brought in to work those specific dates. As reported on earlier, Brother Ray is still working backstage with TNA as an agent and part of creative.

News on Kip James and an alleged mistress
Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 09/11/2010 at 03:56 PM

The following is an excerpt from an article on WinnipegSun.com regarding a Kip James/mistress story:

A pro wrestling star who had a turbulent affair with a Winnipeg woman sought help from police to put an end to her phone calls, text messages and e-mails.

In a complaint to the Lake County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office in August, Monty (Kip) Sopp accused his former mistress, Deborah Simmons, of harassing him on a daily basis after his wife became aware of the tryst and the affair fizzled.

Simmons, who was aware of the marriage, denied harassing the Sopps and claimed she was responding to the couple’s calls or messages to her.

The sordid, “he said, she said” ordeal grabbed headlines and was fodder for gossip websites because Simmons uploaded Sopp’s angry, profanity-laden phone rants to a website.

Chris Jericho def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty in a Steel Cage Handicap Match
Goldust def. William Regal in a Trading Places Match
Randy Orton def. John Cena in a Tables Match

CINCINNATI – With just six days until Night of Champions, several competitors in that night’s Six Pack Elimination Challenge pushed their luck with Raw’s Roulette Wheel. Some hit the jackpot in their matches, while others saw their fortunes dwindle at the tables.

Randy Orton def. John Cena in a Tables Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
John Cena and Randy Orton hadn’t faced one another in singles competition since December of 2009. That lapse in no way diminished the animosity that has always simmered just below the surface. During their Tables Match in the night’s main event, those callous feelings could no longer be contained.

As the battle progressed, various Superstars would power through more lumber than a Home Depot. In the end, Barrett (and his Nexus cohorts), Edge and Jericho, and The Celtic Warrior would all invade the ring.

Barrett and The Nexus attempted to upend both Cena and Orton, but together the two would dispose of the five members, mostly by sending them through tables.

Next up, The Ultimate Opportunist and the ever-conceited Canadian attempted to disrupt the proceedings. Instead, The Viper sent the two of them headlong into the same piece of splintering lumber.

Meanwhile, outside the ring, Cena seized the WWE Champion, heaved him atop his granite shoulders and sent him hurtling onto the cold, hard arena floor with an Attitude Adjustment.

Finally, Cena snatched Orton up onto his shoulders and readied him for yet another Attitude Adjustment. Just when it appeared The Apex Predator would soon crash through one of the tables, though, he turned the AA inside out, coiling his arm around Cena’s neck and administering a mid-air RKO. The lethal maneuver sent his opponent crashing through the long lumber platform for the win and a sizable helping of momentum heading into Sunday evening.

Goldust def. William Regal in a Trading Places Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Lookin’ good, Regal! Feelin’ good, Goldust! In one of the more bizarre bouts in WWE, William Regal faced off against Goldust in a Trading Places Match, meaning the two men must swap ring attire and entrance music before battle. With Regal (as Goldust) snapping and biting, it was Goldust (as Regal) who pulled brass knuckles out of his trunks and locked in the win for Mother England and, well, weirdoes everywhere.

Chris Jericho def. WWE Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty in a Steel Cage Handicap Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After ruining John Morrison’s opportunity to replace him in the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions, Chris Jericho chucked a tantrum. He sat in the ring until the GM finally acknowledged him. Rather than allow ever-conceited Superstar to grind the show to a halt, the GM arranged a Steel Cage Handicap Match pitting Jericho against WWE Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty. If Jericho prevailed, he would then be included in the Six Pack Challenge Match. However, the Six Pack Challenge is now a Six Pack Elimination Challenge – beginning with six men, then once someone is pinned or submits, that Superstar is eliminated until there is a sole winner.

Once the sinister structure was lowered into place, Jericho went about attempting to dismantle David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd. Not an easy task. While Hart Smith escaped the cage, Kidd opted to face Jericho, to prove his bones. The young Superstar, though, had underestimated his foe. The wily Canadian struggled mightily and finally overcame Kidd, forcing him to tap out to secure both the victory and his slot in the Six Pack Elimination Challenge.

WWE Champion Sheamus def. John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It was the opportunity of a lifetime. John Morrison had defeated Chris Jericho the week prior, and now he would be competing against WWE Champion Sheamus in a Falls Count Anywhere Match to earn a spot in the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions. Unfortunately, Chris Jericho, the man he might replace, wasn’t about to step aside so easily.

The Guru of Greatness leveraged his athleticism and agility against The Celtic Warrior, who appeared determined to make a statement just six days before Night of Champions. As the duo battled up the entrance ramp, Jericho appeared and bashed Morrison from behind with a steel chair, allowing the Irishman the victory.

R-Truth & Eve def. Ted DiBiase & Maryse in a Song and Dance Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Ted DiBiase may have millions of dollars, but he certainly hasn’t spent any on singing lessons. The “Fortunate Son” and his special lady friend, Maryse, competed against R-Truth & Eve in a Song and Dance Match. Truth dropped his new joint, “Krunk,” to which Eve did some sexy shaking. For his part, DiBiase strangled the Sinatra classic, “My Way,” while Maryse pranced around him.

The audience determined the winners, Truth & Eve, which didn’t sit well with the moneyed menaces. DiBiase & Maryse proceeded to attack, but before any damage could be done, Truth & Eve busted a few moves of their own to emerge unscathed.

Edge def. Evan Bourne in a Body Slam Challenge; Mark Henry def. Edge in a Body Slam Challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It’s safe to say that Edge and Raw’s General Manager will not be exchanging Christmas cards this year. Last week, the GM punished The Rated-R Superstar for earlier transgressions he made by requiring him to battle The Great Khali twice.

This week, the GM arranged for Edge to compete against Evan Bourne in a Body Slam Challenge as designated by the Raw Roulette Wheel. The Ultimate Opportunist used his size advantage to prevail in the contest, but then he crossed the line and Speared Bourne for no apparent reason.

That’s when the GM prescribed a second dose of punishment in the form of Mark Henry. The Rated-R Superstar was forced to take his medicine against The World’s Strongest Man with the same stipulation. This time, Edge would have too much difficulty powering his sizable foe overhead and was eventually slammed in defeat by Henry.

Daniel Bryan def. Alex Riley in a Submission Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Subbing for his WWE Pro, The Miz, Alex Riley appeared eager to avenge his mentor. The season two WWE NXT Rookie grappled with Daniel Bryan in a Submission Match after the United States Champion forfeited the match due to a “hernia” (insert eyeroll here). Riley, however, was no match for the submission specialist and eventually tapped out.

In a miracle that will undoubtedly be documented in countless medical journals, Mr. Money in the Bank then appeared in perfect health as he bolted into the ring to ambush his Night of Champions opponent. Daniel Bryan, however, countered the attack and locked Miz into the agonizing LeBell Lock. (More on LeBell Lock)

Daniel Bryan vs. U.S. Champion The Miz ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
During his match against Daniel Bryan, The Miz came dangerously close to tapping out. In an odd coincidence, all the struggling Miz did to try and break free must have caused him to develop the world’s fastest growing hernia – or so he claimed. The United States Champion insisted on dropping out of the Submission Match due to the phantom hernia, so that he could save himself for his title defense against Daniel Bryan at Night of Champions. He then nominated his season two WWE NXT Rookie Alex Riley to fill his boots.

Raw special guest star Chad Ochocinco confronted U.S. Champion The Miz (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Even his fellow Ohioans can hardly stomach The Miz. The United States Champion patted himself on the back before insulting Raw’s special guest star, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and VH1 reality show star Chad Ochocinco.

As the two outspoken athletes traded barbs, Raw’s anonymous General Manager interrupted to reveal the stipulation Miz must compete in, as determined by the Raw Roulette Wheel: A Submission Match. Much to Miz’s chagrin, the GM then allowed Ochocinco to choose Mr. Money in the Bank’s opponent. Despite protests from Miz, you guessed it, the football player chose submission specialist Daniel Bryan.

John Cena to face Randy Orton in a Tables Match in the night’s main event
Who’s feeling lucky? John Cena and Randy Orton watched as the Raw Roulette Wheel spun to decide the type of match they must compete in. The Viper seemed pleased when the wheel stopped on a Tables Match. Orton’s demeanor may have had everything to do with the fact that the last time Cena competed in a Tables Match, he dropped the WWE Championship to Sheamus. As Cena reminded announcer Josh Mathews, however, that happened right around the time the “Legendary” star last faced and defeated Orton.

    Jack Swagger def. MVP
Alberto Del Rio def. Matt Hardy
    Drew McIntyre def. Kaval
Kofi Kingston & Chris Masters def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & Chavo Guerrero
    The Undertaker def. CM Punk

BALTIMORE – With Night of Champions just nine days away, The Undertaker upped the ante by proposing the match with World Heavyweight Champion Kane be a No Holds Barred Match. And in his first match since being attacked by his brother, The Phenom picked up a win over CM Punk.

The Undertaker def. CM Punk (WATCH | PHOTOS)
He came. He saw. He conquered CM Punk.

Even though still feeling the lingering effects of being attacked by Kane, The Undertaker summoned from within to get the job done against the leader of The Straight Edge Society. After downing Punk with a chokeslam, it looked like it was over, but Punk managed to kick out of an attempted pinfall. Next, The Deadman went for a Tombstone, but Punk countered with the GTS. Finally, using his lethal Hell’s Gate submission hold, The Phenom forced Punk to tap out.

After the match, Kane’s maniacal laughter echoed throughout the arena while flames shot skyward from the ring posts. His presence was felt, but never seen. The question lingers: Will Kane accept The Undertaker’s challenge to make their Night of Champions bout a No Holds Barred Match? (Preview)

Kofi Kingston & Chris Masters def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & Chavo Guerrero (WATCH | PHOTOS)
WWE NXT season three Rookie Diva Kaitlyn started to introduce the match competitors, but Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero quickly snatched the mic from her and did the honors, focusing solely on Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. In the end of the tag team encounter, Vickie's boyfriend fell to Kofi Kingston’s Trouble in Paradise. At Night of Champions, if Ziggler is counted out or disqualified in his match against Kingston, he loses the Intercontinental Title. (Preview)

Drew McIntyre def. Kaval (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Cleary an underdog in the match against Drew McIntyre, Kaval was looking to have a good showing during his SmackDown debut. The WWE NXT season two winner held his own at some points during the bout, but the “Sinister Scotsman” dispatched of him with a Future Shock DDT.

Alberto Del Rio def. Matt Hardy (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Alberto Del Rio arrived in style by driving a white Bentley to the ring. In his toughest challenge to date, Del Rio smashed Hardy into the steel ring post then forced him to tap out with a cross armbreaker. Then, before Del Rio could inflict more damage to Hardy after the bell, Christian came charging to the rescue. With Christian standing in the ring, Del Rio claimed from outside that Christian would pay for his actions at another place and time.

Jack Swagger def. MVP (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Despite a formidable fight from MVP, it was The “All-American American” Jack Swagger who picked up a victory by making MVP tap out to his painful ankle lock.

The Undertaker proposed a No Holds Barred Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Eager to go to war with World Heavyweight Champion Kane at Night of Champions, The Undertaker suggested that their match be a No Holds Barred Match. After The Deadman issued his challenge, CM Punk emerged and claimed The Phenom is on a “personal, downward spiral.” Unphased by Punk’s tough talk, The Undertaker described Punk as his “next victim.”

Wade Barrett talks about his rise in WWE

Wade Barrett talks about his rise in WWE
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 09/11/2010 at 01:29 PM

In an interview with Tim Baines of Slam! Wrestling, WWE RAW star and leader of The Nexus Wade Barrett discussed his quick rise in his WWE career, having the opportunity to work alongside Chris Jericho, the reasoning behind the setup of The Nexus and more. Highlights of the interview are below:

On his decision to become a professional wrestler: “I was the tallest kid in my class, I decided to become a wrestler when I was 21. But I was all skin and bones. I had to improve my physique.”

On his rise in the WWE and main eventing WWE Summerslam: “It is pretty surreal, I got a bit nervous in the main event at SummerSlam, especially when I saw we were facing a team with many former world champions. But now I’m at the point where I almost expect to be at that level.

On the formation of The Nexus and whether he ever sees the group being cheered by WWE’s fans: “We decided we weren’t happy with the way we treated on NXT, we were made to do some ridiculous tasks. What we did by forming The Nexus was our reaction to the way we had been treated. And ultimately, it worked out very well for us. At one time, everybody hated D-Generation X and booed them. But then, later, the fans loved DX. I’ve never gone out and courted favours. I’ve never gone out to be booed, either. It’s just me being myself. I can see people in The Nexus getting cheered. It’s difficult not to like Justin Gabriel when you see him in the ring. He’s one of those guys like an Evan Bourne or a Rey Mysterio, a high flyer. Maybe fans will like half of the guys and hate the other half. But at the moment, the fans don’t like us too much.”

On working with Chris Jericho: “Look at the top stars, wrestlers like Randy Orton, John Cena and Chris Jericho. They’ve got the (microphone) skills, the appearance, the ring skills, even the facial expressions. One thing (Jericho) talked to me about was that you can’t be strong in just one area. It was absolutely a huge deal to work with him. On the last ECW show, when they announced what the pro and rookie pairings would be, I had no idea who I’d be paired with. So I sat at home, like everybody else, watching ECW. I’ve always been a huge fan. When I looked at the list (of pros), I definitely got the ace in the pack.”

Big Show def. Luke Gallows (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After disappointing CM Punk with a loss to Big Show on SmackDown, Luke Gallows attempted to make it up to his Straight Edge Society leader by defeating the giant. Of course, dismantling The World’s Largest Athlete is much easier said than done. So it came as no surprise when Big Show stomped down the ring, plowed through Gallows and picked up a dominating victory. Will the SmackDown giant be just as imposing when he faces CM Punk at Night of Champions? (PREVIEW)

Trent Barreta & Caylen Croft def. Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Two weeks ago, Trent Barreta & Caylen Croft defeated Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins on “WWE Superstars.” Tonight, The Dude Busters' luck was much the same as they used their cunning and agility to stop their more powerful opponents. With another big victory, Croft & Barreta move another step up the ladder in the tag division and another step closer to the WWE Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty.

Goldust & Gail Kim def. Primo & Jillian (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Two of the NXT Rookie Divas from WWE NXT season three got a close-up view of WWE action tonight as Aksana and A.J. were at ringside during this wild bout. The WWE hopefuls may have had a hard time keeping up with the action, though, as the combatants in this match kept a furious pace. But just when it looked like Jillian & Primo were going to steal one, Goldust hit the Puerto Rican Superstar with a twisting suplex to score the win for his squad.

R-Truth def. William Regal (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Before the match between R-Truth and William Regal even started, a battle broke out when The British Brawler grabbed a microphone and declared that, "Anyone can rap!" What followed was the biggest insult to hip hop music since Vanilla Ice dropped “Ice Ice Baby” on the world. Thankfully, R-Truth was there to shut Regal’s mouth.

-foot-9 Diva rants more about her situation
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 09/10/2010 at 02:49 AM

The following is yet another blog from the official website WWE Diva Aloisia, who was recently cut from season three of WWE NXT, and has been in the news over some controversial photos from her past.

    Aloisia wrote:

To say that this has been a rough week would be a huge understatement. First, my "no-talent" NXT Pro Vickie Guerrero fires me from NXT because she can't deal with the fact that I'm twice her size and not the least bit intimidated by her. I mean, did you see how she humiliated Kaitlyn on national TV last night? This is nothing against Kaitlyn...I think she's adorable, but EXCUSE ME...if Vickie had pulled that stunt with me, she would have found herself flat on her back, under my boot. Kaitlyn, you deserve better than some washed up middle-aged "Pro" who's been resting on her laurels for about the past 20 years or so.

Next, I find out that maybe the "real" reason I was fired was because of some ridiculous lingerie photo shoot I did when I was 18. Um, EXCUSE ME, but if what I did was so unforgivable then can someone please explain why my "favorite" person, VG, has a (censored) nude photo shoot posted on the WWE.com website?

As if that weren't enough, new rumors subsequently popped up on various blogs that I was fired because I was "too green" for TV or didn't have enough experience in the ring. I can't wait to find out what the next rumor will be. I feel like I'm watching myself on the Truman Show, LOL!

Anyway, I'm not here to complain. I'm actually here to thank all my fans and supporters for having my back this past week. I want all of you to know that unlike Vickie Guerrero, I'm not sitting on the couch eating potato chips and watching Days of Our Lives. In fact, I've hired a new personal trainer and I have my first session tomorrow. I may be off NXT, but I intend to use this time to get even bigger and stronger and sculpt my 6'9" body into a veritable work of art. I'll be sure to post video of my training session, you can all see how hard I'm working for you, my loyal fans.

Mark my words...I WILL be back and when I return, Vickie Guerrero, you better pack your bags and run for the hills. And Beth Phoenix, honey...I've got you in my sights as well. Edge def. The Great Khali by Count-out
Edge def. The Great Khali in an Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge
    Randy Orton def. Wade Barrett

WASHINGTON D.C. – In the shadow of the breathtaking Washington Monument, Randy Orton made a few breathtaking monumental statements of his own. In the U.S. capital, The Viper countered the attacks of four Superstars with a flurry of RKOs.

Randy Orton def. Wade Barrett (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Randy Orton seemed a man possessed. In the night’s main event match, The Viper faced off against Wade Barrett as WWE Champion Sheamus, Edge and John Cena looked on from ringside. And although the opponents appeared evenly matched, Orton slithered past his foe when the leader of The Nexus was haunted by a face from his past: Darren Young.

The banished Nexus member distracted Barrett long enough to allow The Viper to level him with an RKO and prevail in the match. Orton, however, was hardly content with a singular strike. He subsequently coiled around Young, Edge and Sheamus, leaving each incapacitated by an RKO.

Although Cena entered the ring as well, the two appeared justifiably cautious in the presence of one another, content to stare each other down until next week when they will happily settle any scores.

Edge def. The Great Khali (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With his spot in the Six Pack Challenge hanging in the balance, Edge hoped to defeat his opponent, The Great Khali, by count-out. The victory, however, left Raw’s anonymous General Manager hungry for more. As a result, the GM announced that the match must end with a definitive conclusion and would be an Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge.

Since Khali captured the World Heavyweight Championship in a joust of this kind, the stipulation appeared to favor the Punjabi giant. The Ultimate Opportunist, however, wasn’t beaten yet. Despite the tremendous setback, Edge managed to depose his lofty adversary, sending him tumbling over the top rope and maintaining his slot in the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions.

John Cena will face winner of Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett match
Raw’s anonymous General Manager chimed in to inform the WWE Universe that the winner of the match pitting Randy Orton against Wade Barrett will be “rewarded” with a match against John Cena on next week’s Raw. Adding to the excitement of next week’s show, Raw Roulette returns! The high-stakes wheel promises to provide a series of unexpected and must-watch matches.

United States Champion The Miz accepted title match challenge from Daniel Bryan (PHOTOS |WATCH)
The Miz has arrived. Despite his arrogance, the United States Champion does deserve some credit. After all, he did make it onto the cover of this month’s WWE Magazine. As Mr. Money in the Bank boasted about the honor, Daniel Bryan cut him short. Daniel Bryan respectfully asked for a title match against Miz at Night of Champions.

Miz accepted, so that, as he said, he might embarrass his nemesis. As the two Superstars shook on it, “The Cleveland Screamer” took a cheap shot. Daniel Bryan, however, flipped the script and locked Miz in the LeBell Lock. Just as it appeared Miz was prepared to tap out, his season two NXT Rookie Alex Riley charged the ring from the audience and rescued the United States Champion. Afterward, Miz allowed Riley to get locked into the LeBell Lock and suffer as he simply looked on. Once Daniel Bryan had released the hold, he then kicked over the poster-sized photo of the magazine cover Miz had so smugly displayed.

John Cena def. Justin Gabriel (PHOTOS | WATCH)
John Cena wasn’t about to give Justin Gabriel the satisfaction. The South African had already hit Cena with three 450° Splashes over the past few months, including one the week before, after which Gabriel had pinned Cena.

This week would tell a far different story. Without his contingent of Nexus cronies to rely upon, Gabriel failed to notch a fourth devastating 450° Splash. In fact, he appeared to flail in the face of Cena’s strength and size advantage, finally succumbing to a vengeful Attitude Adjustment off the top rope to end the match.

Divas Champion Melina def. Alicia Fox (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Invoking her rematch clause, former Divas Champion Alicia Fox challenged current champion Melina to a title match. Angered that she might be relegated to “lumberjill” status during the Divas and Women’s Championship Unification Lumberjill Match, Fox needed a win to recapture the spotlight. Alas, the towering Floridian came up short against Melina, who retained her title.

John Morrison def. Chris Jericho (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After deserting their teammates in last week’s 5-on-5 Tag Team Elimination Match, Chris Jericho and Edge were informed by the Raw GM that they must win their singles matches tonight in order to maintain their slots in the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions.

An ill-tempered Jericho was none too happy, especially when his opponent was revealed to be The Guru of Greatness, John Morrison. Unfortunately for Jericho, his fury was only compounded when Morrison toppled Mr. Vocabulary, not only handing him a loss but, in essence, booting him from the Six Pack Challenge and snuffing out any hope he may have had of capturing the WWE Title.

Randy Orton confronted The Nexus; Raw GM arranged main events (PHOTOS)
Modest. Humble. Self-effacing. Three characteristics foreign to the arrogant Superstars of The Nexus. The five outlaws kicked off Raw by recapping last week’s episode, in which they ganged up on The Undertaker and punished The Phenom, and also prevailed in a 5-on-5 Tag Team Elimination Match after both Chris Jericho and Edge abandoned their squad.

When the five members took turns bragging, Randy Orton interrupted the self-righteous revelry. Just when the rhetoric between Wade Barrett and The Viper became overheated, Raw’s anonymous General Manager broke in to inform Nexus that while their collective effort may have been impressive, they would be put to the test as individuals tonight. First up, The Nexus’ leader Wade Barrett would face Orton, the man he pinned last week to win the main event match. Next, Justin Gabriel would battle the man he pinned the week before, John Cena. And neither Nexus member would enjoy the assistance of their fellow outlaws since The Nexus is banned from ringside during both bouts.

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match
The Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs. Generation Me

The bell rings, and Jeremy and Shelley will be starting things out. Shelley takes Jeremy right down, but it's not for long as both men begin a bit of chain wrestling. Shelley ends up getting the better of Buck several times, even scoring a near fall off of a quick roll up. More chain wrestling and a quick tag to Max Buck who comes in and trades holds with Shelley. Shelley's technical prowess proves to be too much as he's able to subdue Buck and tag in Sabin. Sabin comes in and trades holds, and dropkicks with Max, before both men go nose to nose.

Max tags out quickly, and Jeremy comes in, Shelley also tagging in. Jeremy is able to get the upper hand on Shelley, and a quick tag, and a moonsault to Shelley's arm, followed by another tag and a double stomp to Shelley's arm from Jeremy. Jeremy continues to focus on Shelley's arm, but he's fooled by a blind tag, and the Guns are able to double team Buck with a chancery/dropkick combo. Sabin scores a two count, then tags in Shelley. Shelley takes Jeremey right down to the mat and locks in a crazy inverted crab, lifting Buck entirely off the mat. The hold stays locked in until Max breaks it up. Shelley tags out, and Jeremy is able to make a quick to to Max, who comes in as a house of fire and is able to take out both Guns, scoring a near fall on Sabin.

Shelley makes the tag unbeknownst to Gen Me, and he hits a beautiful single leg dropkick to Max, taking him down for a two count. This match is moving so fast. Enzugiri to Max and Shelley tries to climb the ropes, only to be cut off by Jeremy, and hit with a neckbreaker on the apron. Jeremy sends Shelley back into the ring and Max tries repeatedly for a quick cover. Max tags out and Jeremy comes in and tries for a suplex, but Shelley blocks it. Shelley is able to fight out of it, but he goes right down and sells his neck. Max tags in and we get a double dropkick from Gen Me that's good for a near fall.

Max hits a big dropkick and tags out to Jeremy, who tries to score a quick pin, but only gets two. Jeremy locks in a full nelson on Shelley, but Shelley is quick to fight out of it. Shelley goes to the ropes and goes right back down. Double team work from Gen Me is avoided by Shelley, who is able to make the hot tag to Sabin. Sabin comes in as a house of fire and takes Jeremy out of the ring before working over Max with a beautiful springboard tonado DDT. Sabin goes for the pin but it's broken up by Jeremy. Things break down quickly and everyone is involved. Shelley and Jeremy are on the floor and Max and Sabin trade blows in the ring.

Max is able to back Sabin into the corner and Gen Me hit a crazy assisted sliced bread, but Shelley breaks up the pin. Gen Me won't have any of it as they take Shelley out of the way and go for More Bang for your Buck on Sabin but it doesn't work out. Insane combination of superkicks, and The Guns hit a neckbreaker/crossbody combo on Jeremy to put Gen Me down for the count.

Winners and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: The Motor City Machine Guns

After the bell, Generation Me attack the Guns, sending Sabin out of the ring, and focusing on Shelley. Gen Me drag Shelley to the side of the apron where the hit a ridiculous double ddt to the floor. The ref is immediately there and holds up the X, but it looks like a work. Sabin comes in and brawls with Gen Me as an EMT runs down and Gen Me scamper up the ramp, laughing the whole way.

Shelley sits up, to the cheers of the crowd, and he makes his way to his feet with the help of two EMT's. Shelley slowly makes his way to the back.

    TNA X Division Championship Match
    Douglas Williams (c) vs. Sabu

Sabu tries to jump Williams right at the bell, but Williams is able to avoid him twice. A third time and Sabu is able to take Williams down, but it's not for long. Williams takes Sabu down to the mat in a headlock takeover, but Sabu trades holds locking in a headscissors. Both men are back up to their feet and another lockup and Sabu takes Williams down with a headlock takeover. Williams fights out of it and tries for a submission but Sabu is able to make it to the ropes to break the hold. Williams focuses on Sabu's arm, locking in an armbar, but Sabu is able to back Williams into the corner and break the hold.

Sabu sends Williams into the corner and hits him with a big clothesline before going to the apron and hitting a slingshot legdrop on Williams. Sabu locks in a half camel clutch, but Williams is able to reach over to the bottom rope to break the hold and he rolls to the apron. Sabu hits a baseball slide and follows it up with a somersault dive over the top rope on top of Williams. Sabu grabs a table and sets it up like a pro, but Williams uses the distraction to turn it around. He sends Sabu back into the ring and goes to the middle rope, hitting a diving European uppercut that's good for a near fall.

Williams tries to go to the top again, but he's caught by Sabu. Sabu tries to go for a hurricarana, or at least it looks like it, but it's pretty noticeably botched. Sabu goes to the outside and grabs a chair and Hebner admonishes him so he drops it. Sabu beats on Williams for a bit before setting up the chair and using it for a springboard moonsault that's good for a two count. Sabu gets greedy and another try and Williams hits a drop toe hold, sending Sabu face first into the chair. Williams sends Sabu into the corner and hits a kick to the leg that looks like a bit of a low blow. Williams takes Sabu out with a clothesline that's good for another near fall before focusing on Sabu's back.

Sabu begins to fight back with a big right hand, but Williams comes right back with a European uppercut. Sabu hits a springboard DDT out of nowhere and both men are down. Sabu crawls over for a pin but only gets two. Springboard back elbow from Sabu and another two count on Williams. Sabu sets up the chair again and uses it to leap off of onto Williams with a big kick. Sabu sets the chair up again, but Williams kicks it right into Sabu's gut. Williams connects with a beautiful gut-wrench suplex, but it's only good for two. Williams goes for a German, but Sabu fights out of it and Williams rolls to the outside.

Sabu tries for a springboard, but messes up, drops back to the ring and springboards over onto Williams. Sabu sets Williams on the table that was set up previously, and Sabu dive over the ropes again, but Williams avoids it, causing Sabu to crash through the table. Williams tries to use the chair, but it's taken away by Hebner, so Williams uses the belt to crack Sabu in the head instead. Williams pins Sabu and this one's over.

Winner and STILL TNA X-Division Champion: Douglas Williams

    Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with Mr. Anderson. Anderson says it will be the biggest match of his career tonight, and he doesn't care if the Pope doesn't trust him. Anderson says tonight he'll do some preaching of his own, because his congregation will be on their feet shouting 'We are A-holes'. Anderson walks off.

    Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne

The bell sounds and this one is ready to begin. Tara distracts Sky right off the bat, and Rayne uses it to her advantage, choking Sky in the corner. Rayne gloats a bit too much though and Sky is right there, but it's not for long as Rayne takes her to the mat and rains down with fists before simply choking her. Rayne locks in a cravat, and throws Sky down to the mat where she locks in a camel clutch, before dragging her to the middle of the ring and locking it back in. Sky is able to make her way out of the hold and she slaps Rayne across the face, allowing her to score a quick roll up, but Madison pops right back up to regain control of the match.

Rayne goes for a couple of quick pins on Sky, but she can't get more than two. Rayne tries for a headscissors, but Sky simply tosses her down to the mat. Sky begins to show signs of life with a couple of big clotheslines and a back elbow. A spear for Sky takes Rayne down to the mat, where she slams her head repeatedly down. Sky hits a facebuster and tries for the pin, but Tara pulls her to the outside. Tara looks to use her helmet on Sky, but it's broken up by Love. Back in the ring, Sky counters Rayne with a big DDT, and she pins Rayne for a three count.

    Winner: Velvet Sky

    Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with Jeff Hardy. He says tonight he's going up against the greatest wrestler in the world, but tonight is about getting the title in honor of RVD, who never lost it.

    Falls Count Anywhere Match
    Rhino vs. Abyss

Rhino runs down to the ring to a bit of love from the crowd, and while Abyss makes his way out, Rhino runs right up the ramp and brings the fight right to him, starting this one early. Rhino brings Abyss right down to the ring, where he grabs a trashcan and a couple of other goodies from under the ring. Abyss rolls to the outside, so Rhino slingshots himself to the outside over the top rope. Abyss is right back up and he pounds on Rhino, both men fighting through the crowd and into the back.

Abyss and Rhino fight out toward a rollercoaster and the outside. The crowd is dead. Abyss sends Rhino shoulder first into a trash can before slamming him head first into a chain link fence. Abyss and Rhino fight back into the Impact Zone and through the tiny backstage area back out into the crowd. This is simply a brawl, and it's not very pretty.

Both men fight their way back into the ring where Abyss tries to go for a hip toss, but Rhino blocks it and hits a big clothesline. Rhino pounds on Abyss in the corner for a bit, but when he tries to whip Abyss across the ring and into a trash can, Abyss reverses it and Rhino suffers instead. Abyss rolls to the outside after Rhino, and Rhino is quick to fight back, slamming Abyss' head into the barricade as they fight their way up the entrance ramp. Abyss fights right back, slamming Rhino into the barricade and going for a quick pin that's good for two. Rhino throws Abyss hard through part of the stage, and he follows Abyss under the stage where they continue to fight.

Rhino and Abyss disappear from camera for a while, and the crowd doesn't like it. They eventually crash through the other side of the stage, and Abyss goes for a cover but he only gets two. They fight back up the entrance way and to the ring yet again. The crowd is chanting for Rhino and Abyss doesn't like it. Abyss grabs part of the ringside barricade and pulls it up and into the ring, propping it in the corner. Abyss pounds on Rhino in the corner, but when Abyss tries to whip Rhino into the barricade, Rhino avoids it, hits a flying clothesline and follows it up with a series of blows to the head with a cookie sheet. A gore, and a belly to belly from Rhino takes Abyss off of his feet.

Rhino tries for another gore, but Abyss catches him by the throat and chokeslams him on a trash can. Abyss goes for the cover but only gets two. Abyss rolls to the outside and goes up the ramp, grabbing Janice, the board covered with nails. Abyss makes his way back to the ring, but he eats a gore pretty quickly that's good for a two count.

Rhino ducks a clothesline, but Abyss is able to connect with a black hole slam out of nowhere. Abyss goes for the pin, but Rhino is able to kick out at two. Abyss resets the barricade in the corner. He gets Rhino in powerbomb position, but Rhino counters out with a short arm clothesline. Abyss makes his way up to his feet with the assistance of the guardrail. Rhino tries to hit the gore, but Abyss moves and Rhino connects with the barricade. Black hole slam from Abyss, and a quick pin, and this one is over.

    Winner: Abyss

Sting and Kevin Nash vs. Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe

We get a video package with the history over the past few weeks leading up to this match.

Joe and Sting look to start things out for their respective teams. Sting attacks Jarrett right off the bat, and Nash uses the distraction to jump Joe. Joe fights off Nash with a big running knee, and turns right to Sting, taking him down with a huge kick. Joe tags in Jarrett, who comes in and works over Jarrett with a series of blows before being caught from behind by a clothesline to the head from Nash. Nash tags in and begins working over Jarrett with right hands. Jarrett tries to fight back, but a knee to the stomach stops Jarrett. A hot shot and side walk slam from Nash is good for a near fall on Jeff.

Nash hits a series of knees to Jarrett's midsection before tagging out to Sting, who comes in and works over Jarrett with punches and kicks before focusing on Jarretts arm with a couple of nasty arm wrenches. Sting hits a big Stinger splash on Jarrett in the corner, and he climbs the ropes, trying for a Vader bomb, but eating Jarrett's knees instead. Jarrett is able to make the tag, but the ref is distracted by Nash so is doesn't count. Double clothesline from Sting and Jarrett at the same time, and both men are down.

Joe is able to make the tag in and he goes to work on both Sting and Nash, eventually taking Nash out with an elbow suicida. Jarrett and Sting trade blows in the ring and Sting hot shots Jarrett into the corner. Jarrett grabs the baseball bat, and Jarrett uses it to hit Sting in the stomach and the throat. Joe comes back into the ring and locks in the rear naked choke. Jarrett holds off Nash on the outside. The referee calls the match as Sting is unable to answer the call.

Winners: Samoa Joe and Jeff Jarrett

    "I Quit" Match
    A.J. Styles vs. Tommy Dreamer

We get a video package of the feud between EV2.0 and Fourtune, that has led up to this match.

AJ Styles is the first man out to the ring, and he gets a big pop from the crowd. Styles is wearing his title, whatever it's called this week, but it's not up for grabs tonight. Styles takes his belt and walks off to the side of the stage where he hides. Dreamer's music hits, and when Tommy makes his way out to the ring, Styles tries to ambush him. Dreamer sees it coming and ducks the belt shot, only to pound on AJ all the way down to the ring. AJ tries to catch Dreamer again, but Dreamer hangs AJ's arm up in the ropes and this one is on.

Dreamer sends Styles out to the floor with a back body drop, and Dreamer locks AJ in a rear chin lock around the ring post but AJ doesn't quit. Dreamer and Styles trade blows with Dreamer punching and Styles chopping. Dreamer locks in a crazy full nelson camel clutch, but AJ still won't quit. Styles is able to fight out of it, and he fish hooks Dreamer, but Dreamer stands up with Styles on his back, backing him up into the corner. Styles charges Dreamer in the corner, but Dreamer avoids it and Styles connects with the ring post.

Styles rolls to the outside, and Dreamer follows with a big running clothesline from the apron, taking Styles down. Dreamer tries for a suplex out on the floor, but Styles reverses it and Dreamer crashes into the entrance ramp instead. Styles goes for the figure four, but Dreamer grabs one of the stage lights from the entrance ramp and uses it to bash AJ in the head before wrapping the cord around Styles' mouth.

Styles is able to send Dreamer into the ring apron to take him down, and Styles exposes the concrete floor by moving the ring mat. Styles calls for the Styles Clash, but Dreamer fights out of it and sends AJ shoulder first into the ring post. Dreamer follows it up with a big shoulderbreaker. Dreamer asks a fan for a chair, and the fan happily obliges. Back in the ring, Dreamer continues to work over Styles' shoulder with an arm bar, but AJ still won't give. Dreamer wraps the chair around Style's arm and executes a big leg drop, furthering the damage to Styles' arm. Dreamer locks in a weird, chair assisted wrist lock, but Styles fights out of it.

Hardy went for the ropes, but Angle pulled him back into the center of the ring and added a leglace to the move. Hardy struggled with 30 seconds left on the clock. Time ran out, and we had a buzzer again.

Eric Bischoff got in the ring, and called for trainers to come look at Angle's cut head. Angle was demanding more time. Bischoff put on a headset and was talking with someone, then was talking with the referee. Bischoff got on the mic and said that the trainers were telling them Angle could not continue due to the cut on his head. Bischoff said they were declaring the match a no-contest. Shannon Moore came out and checked on Hardy. Angle and Bischoff walked back to the locker room, arguing. Angle's cut didn't even seem to be bleeding anymore, as the trainers had wiped off his face.

World Heavyweight Champion Kane announced that he will end The Undertaker’s existence at Night of Champions (PHOTOS | WATCH 1 | WATCH 2)
After Kane announced that he will put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against The Undertaker at Night of Champions, The Big Red Monster rose out of a casket placed at ringside, sending a frightening message to his ominous brother. He claimed to be in the possession of The Phenom’s legendary powers, insisting that there was nothing The Demon of Death Valley would be able to do to stop his demise at their upcoming pay-per-view showdown.

When The Undertaker emerged to confront Kane, his frightening younger brother disappeared. However, the self-proclaimed “devil’s favorite demon” soon reappeared on the arena screen, informing The Phenom that although they’re known as The Brothers of Destruction, after Night of Champions, The Deadman will soon simply be the brother that he destroyed. (Match preview)

“Dashing” Cody Rhodes def. Matt Hardy (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Cody Rhodes prefaced his match with Matt Hardy by completely insulting the physical make-up of his impending opponent. Then, in the final moments of their hard-fought match, the “Dashing” Superstar dropped a knee off the second rope onto Hardy’s injured left ankle, setting up the victory with the Cross Rhodes.

Jack Swagger hosted “MVP’s VIP Lounge” (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After defeating MVP in the “Jack Swagger Senior Invitational” one week ago, Jack Swagger captured the right to host “MVP’s VIP Lounge” for one night. “The All-American American’s” special guest was none other than his injured father, still confined to a wheelchair.

When MVP arrived to “close the ‘VIP Lounge’ for renovations,” Swagger opted to use his dad as a human shield, in order to prevent his ballin’ foe from getting to him. In the confusion, Swagger senior was sent flying out of the chair and into The Franchise Playa. After the younger Swagger missed his chance at a follow-up attack, The Ballin’ Superstar put the icing on the cake by dropping the big elbow on the fallen Swagger patriarch.

Big Show def. CM Punk & Luke Gallows (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, Big Show reigned supreme by making Luke Gallows tap-out to the Colossal Clutch. After the bell, CM Punk stunned the WWE Universe by executing the GTS on the war-torn “first disciple” of his Straight Edge Society.

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Chris Masters (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After Dolph Ziggler utilized his amazing athletic prowess to overcome Chris Masters’ Master Lock – kicking back off the turnbuckle to send his chiseled opponent crashing down to the canvas – the champion triumphed with the Zig Zag.

Michelle McCool def. Kelly Kelly (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Just more than two weeks before the Divas and Women’s Championships will be unified in a Lumberjills Match at Night of Champions (preview), Michelle McCool defeated Kelly Kelly with the Faithbreaker. Although the self-professed “co-Women’s Champion” gains valuable momentum heading toward the upcoming pay-per-view, it has yet to be established which member of Team Lay-Cool will face Divas Champion Melina.

Christian def. Drew McIntyre (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Just minutes after being blindsided by McIntyre, Christian elected to shake off the effects of the onslaught and commence his scheduled match against the ruthless “Chosen One.” And at the conclusion of their extremely brutal battle, Captain Charisma triumphed, lifting his adversary off his feet, before flipping him over for the quick three-count.

Christian interrupted Alberto Del Rio’s celebration (PHOTOS | WATCH)
One week after viciously assaulting Rey Mysterio and fracturing his wrist, Alberto Del Rio threw himself a lavish celebration to honor his nefarious actions. Christian soon interrupted the festivities, mocking SmackDown’s newest Superstar. Just when it looked as if they would come to blows, the aristocratic Superstar told Captain Charisma that he would pay at a different time and place. As Del Rio made his exit, Drew McIntyre attacked Christian from behind, allowing Del Rio to pour champagne all over his face.
