NEWS AND VIDEO FROM THURSDAY'S "iMPACT!" ON SPIKE TV The final countdown to Sunday's "Final Resolution" By Bill Banks
The following is news from Thursday's "iMPACT!" broadcast on SpikeTV as TNA Wrestling counts down the hours until this Sunday's "Final Resolution" Pay-Per-View event:
- TNA cameras were at AJ Styles' home in Georgia to find out if he would side with either Kurt Angle or Christian Cage this Sunday night. In the end, AJ changed his mind several times - then told the world he would make his final decision when the time is right this Sunday during the Pay-Per-View. Meanwhile, Tomko announced he was his own man in TNA and he wouldn't side with either Cage or Angle.
- Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash will be tag team partners this Sunday night as they will challenge AJ Styles and Tomko for the TNA World Tag Team Championship. Other bouts announced include Booker T and Sharmell taking on Robert Roode and Ms. Brooks, Kaz vs. Black Reign and The Latin American Xchange vs. Lance Hoyt and Jimmy Rave with Christy Hemme.
- The Motor City Machineguns won the Tag Team gauntlet, but they paid for it afterwards as Team 3D and Johnny Devine attempted to injure them before they can make it to Sunday's Ultimate X bout.
- ODB won the Women's Knockout gauntlet match, beating Roxxi Laveaux.
- Petey Williams won the X Division gauntlet by beating Senshi with the Canadian Destroyer.
- In the Heavyweight gauntlet, Christian Cage got the win over Samoa Joe. The bout also saw Angle and Cage brawl throughout and Nash and Joe putting their differences aside and shaking hands.
-- As we previously reported WWE diva Maria did a photo shoot with Playboy. Thus, she will be this year's WWE Playboy cover girl and the issue will be coming out as part of the WrestleMania XXIV promotion.
WWE's decision to go with Jonathan Coachman as JBL's replacement as a SmackDown! announcer came as a surprise to many. WWE kept the news very quiet up until last weekend's tapings. A lot of people in the Smackdown lockerroom expeted Tazz to be JBL's replacement. Tazz and Michael Cole had great chemistry on SmackDown before Tazz was shifted over to ECW at the end of 2006. Virtually all of SmackDown's top stars wanted Tazz to replace JBL. Jonathan Coachman got mixed feedback on his first broadcast and management understands it's a work in progress.
Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore & Kelly Kelly def. The Miz, John Morrison & Layla Big Daddy V def. Colin Delaney Shelton Benjamin def. James Curtis ECW Champion CM Punk def. Chavo Guerrero (count-out)
RICHMOND, Va. As 2008 commenced, there was not a person in the Land of the Extreme who didnt plan on making sure this would be his year. For Chavo Guerrero and others who made such a bold resolution, however, 2008 didnt exactly start off according to plan.
Kelly Kelly had spent much of the final months in 2007 fighting off The Mizs attempts to make her life a living hell. She had done a good job until recently, earning unexpected victories against her opponents, but the self-proclaimed chick magnet found a way to get to the blonde with Layla & Victoria.
Tuesday night, The Miz took Layla and added co-WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison to his team of three to take on Kelly, Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang. Thanks to the help from her supporting cast, Kelly was able to start off 2008 the right way when Yang pinned The Miz. This win makes it two straight for the duo of Moore & Yang, who defeated the WWE Tag Team Champions two weeks ago. If things continue in this direction, gold may not be The Miz & John Morrisons color this year.
Later in the evening, Colin Delaney took part in his second match ever, in as many Tuesday nights. And if he didnt think his first match against Shelton Benjamin could have been worse, he was wrong. Big Daddy V made a meal out of Delaney, just moments after the athlete admitted how nervous he was in an interview with Tazz.
Speaking of Delaneys opponent from last week, Shelton Benjamin continued to prove to our fans that he is ECWs Gold Standard when he defeated James Curtis. Benjamin remains undefeated since joining the ECW roster. With three Intercontinental Championships and two WWE Tag Team Titles on his résumé, Shelton is ready to add the ECW Championship to his collection of gold.
Chavo Guerrero got his opportunity to finish the job he started two weeks ago on ECW Champion CM Punk. But even with the new year, time wasnt on Chavos side, as he was counted out in a contest that, if won, would have delivered a chance at the title. More on this story
Mr. Kennedy def. Shawn Michaels Umaga def. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan (Royal Rumble Qualifying Match) Women's Champion Beth Phoenix def. Melina and Mickie James Hornswoggle vs. William Regal (no contest) Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy vs. Santino Marella (no contest, non-title) Ric Flair def. Triple H (disqualification)
GREENSBORO, N.C. On a night like New Years Eve, most people wait until midnight to pop the champagne. But Mr. Kennedy just couldnt contain himself. The loudmouth from Green Bay, Wisc. celebrated early this year after defeating his rival Shawn Michaels.
Kennedy had promised to prevail over HBK before the end of 2007, and he did just that with only a couple of hours to spare.
After succumbing to Sweet Chin Music at Armageddon, the bleached blonde bomber vowed that hed had enough. But it was only Monday night, however, that Kennedy was finally able to keep his End of Year resolution. Photos | Watch the video...
Royal Entrance New Years Eve brought with it the first qualifying match for the Royal Rumble pitting Hacksaw Jim Duggan against Umaga. Chants of U-S-A were drowned out by the revving of the Samoan Bulldozer as Umaga pounded Hacksaw to secure a spot at the Rumble on Jan. 27. Photos
Gashed Hopes The sparks continued to fly between JBL and Chris Jericho. During the Lonestar Loudmouths showy Raw debut, Y2J charged in and the two exchanged blows, which opened a nasty gash across JBLs nose before a throng of officials were able to pull him away. Photos | Watch the video...
Three Times a Lady In a Triple Threat Title Match, Womens Champion Beth Phoenix defended her gold against Melina and Mickie James. In a topsy-turvy contest, the Glamazon finally managed to toss Mickie from the ring and pin Melina after an impressive Fishermans Suplex. Photos | Watch the video...
Brass Kisser In another test of tough love arranged by Mr. McMahon, William Regal battled the Chairmans bastard son, Hornswoggle. But when punch came to shove, the Raw General Manager just couldnt bring himself to break the little guys face with a pair of brass knuckles handed to him by Mr. McMahon.
In the end, Hornswoggle waddled from the ring and left Regal to take a verbal thrashing from his boss. Photos | Watch the video...
Brothers Keeper No line is too brash to cross for Randy Orton. As Jeff Hardy prepared to divebomb Santino Marella during their match Monday night, the WWE Champion came on the Titantron to show Hardy that he had just leveled his brother Matt with a shot to the elder Hardys post-surgery appendix. The concerned Intercontinental Champion sprinted to his brothers aid and was reminded of just how low Orton is willing to go to keep his title. Photos | Watch the video...
Life Goes On In his Win-or-Retire Match against Triple H, Ric Flair managed to survive another day by defeating his longtime friend and protégé. The Nature Boy had a little help when William Regal, perhaps hoping to please Mr. McMahon, wailed on Flair with brass knuckles causing the seasoned veteran to win by disqualification.
-- Since returning from his suspension, Harry Smith has been limited to WWE Heat. Before, he was receiving a pretty big push on RAW. His suspension was of no political value as an FCW guy, but was as a guy on TV who they were pushing. The result of the drug test was known before they made the call to put him on television.
Former World Tag Team Champion Lance Cade was injured after separating his left shoulder at a live event in Atlanta on Friday night.
According to athletic trainer Chris Brennan, the severity of Cades injury cannot be determined until he undergoes an orthopedic evaluation.
Lance could be out of action for four to six weeks, Brennan told WWE.com. Of course, those numbers could change depending on the orthopedic evaluation.
WWE.com will update this situation as more information becomes available.
-- WWE Diva Torrie Wilson updated fans on her back injury via her MySpace blog. She wrote, "On the health front, my back problems don't seem to be getting any better and I am actually starting to feel worse believe it or not! It's gotten to the point that I can barely stand up in the morning. I've never really been hurt before so this is really REALLY annoying to me. I can't stand feeling frail and just want to go back to my active lifestyle. I am looking into another type of treatment right now that looks promising so let's hope this problem goes away soon. Please pray for me! I have actually been out of the action in the wrestling ring for quite some time and am really starting to miss it."
World Wrestling Entertainment
Ohio Valley Wrestling
-- According to data compiled by Nielson Media Research, the Christmas edition of ECW on Sci-Fi (year in review show) did a 0.9 cable rating. Given the holidays, that is a pretty solid number.
Thursday, 20 September 2007 NEWS FROM THURSDAYS IMPACT! BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV The countdown to the January 6 Final Resolution PPV continues By Bill Banks
Note: Due to the holiday, videos from Thursdays iMPACT! will be delayed. Check back to TNAwrestling.com in the coming days for footage from the broadcast.
- On Thursdays broadcast, Abyss sat down with Mike Tenay for a rare interview to speak out about the claims by his former manager James Mitchell that Abyss is hiding another, more darker secret from the world. During the interview, Abyss confirmed that his name is indeed Chris Parks. He also told the world that he has known James Mitchell too long and when the topic of his parents were brought up, Abyss made it clear his mother raised him not his father as Mitchell claims. When Tenay asked Abyss to reveal the secret, the TNA superstar said the secret lives with him and it will die with him. In fact, Abyss stated, he will never tell the world. When Tenay gave Abyss one more opportunity to talk about the secret, Abyss stood up in a show of force then walked off the interview set!
- Speaking of Mitchell, his current protégé the maniacal Judas Mesias made his TNA in-ring return, beating Senshi in singles action. It was also announced on iMPACT! that Abyss will battle Judas Mesias at Final Resolution.
- The other big story coming out of Thursdays iMPACT! was that The Phenomenal AJ Styles is under pressure to pick a side in the war between TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle and The Instant Classic Christian Cage. Early in the broadcast, both Cage and Angle called out Styles to make his decision, but Styles accidentally got knocked out during a melee between Cage and Angle. Later on, Styles and Tomko faced the Motor City Machineguns in a non-title bout, but when AJ kept asking advice on who he should join, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley took the opportunity to beat Styles in the bout.
- Booker T was scheduled to face Robert Roode, but that match never took place as Sharmell and Karen Angle both got into a catfight. As a result, Booker made the challenge for a tag team bout for later on, promising to find a partner to take on Angle and Roode. Booker ended up getting Cage as his partner, who shares a common hatred for Angle and Roode. The Instant Classic got the win in the tag team bout, then demanded Styles come out to give his final decision. With Angle also wanting a final choice, Styles stood between Angle and Cage and couldn't answer! As a result, Styles still hasnt made his decision as to who he will side with.
- In other news from the broadcast, Team 3D paid a visit to TNA Management Director Jim Cornettes office to officially object to being forced to compete in an Ultimate X Match at the January 6 Final Resolution Pay-Per-View. When Cornette told them they had no choice but to fight in the dangerous bout, Team 3D promised that neither Black Machismo Jay Lethal nor The Motor City Machineguns would even make it to the match in one piece.
- Speaking of Cornette, the management director also had words with Samoa Joe on the broadcast over his recent bad attitude. In turn, Joe absolutely destroyed Primetime Elix Skipper in singles action and got disqualified in the process telling Cornette the slaughter was his fault and that he would continue to raise hell until he gets what he wants. When Joe attempted to continue his rant, TNA management apparently ordered that his live microphone be cut off.
- The Knockouts of the Womens Division were in action on iMPACT! as the team of TNA Womens Champion Gail Kim along with Angelina Love and Velvet Sky defeated Jackie Moore, ODB and Roxxi Laveaux.
- Speaking of Gail Kim, it was announced on the broadcast that she will once again defend the TNA Womens Championship against the juggernaut Awesome Kong at Final Resolution in a No Disqualification match!
- During a backstage interview with Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner and Petey Williams, Steiner reiterated that he still wanted Williams shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Petey refused to give in and walked off, at which point Steiner claimed he would get it from him one way or another.
- Also, Dustin Rhodes called out Kaz to give him the opportunity to apologize for attacking him in recent weeks, claiming he had no idea why Kaz would do that to him (despite the fact that Dustins alter-ego Black Reign put his pet rat Misty on his face). In turn, Kaz and Dustin got into another brawl that went all over the Impact Zone and at one point, Kaz dove off the top of the bleachers taking out Dustin and TNA security in the process.
John Cena Possibly Returning At WrestleMania Posted by Ryan Gray on 12/27/2007 at 03:09 PM
Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter
The initial diagnosis for John Cena had him out past WrestleMania, however according to his rehab reports; he is working like a demon trying to speed up his return date. Cena has a strong mind-muscle link from his years in bodybuilding which gives him a strong advantage for a faster and more effective recovery.

TIKRIT, Iraq After 6,000 of miles of air travel, hundreds of warm wishes for the soldiers, and handshakes and hugs too numerous to count, the Superstars were finally ready to rumble for our brave men and women in our 5th Annual Tribute to the Troops.
Inside an old Iraqi soccer stadium in Tikrit where Saddam Hussein allegedly executed his Iraqi Olympic soccer team, a gigantic United States flag flew proudly over the grandstand. As thousands of U.S. troops surrounding the ring at Camp Speicher, the fists flew fast and furious, all for the entertainment of our troops overseas.
WWE's most important broadcast of the year is the only entertainment program broadcast from the war zone, bringing one message to the soldiers and their families a message of thanks.
Y-too-much After Chris Jericho's DQ victory at Armageddon over WWE Champion Randy Orton, Y2J was eager to continue his win streak over the champ. But the cunning former SmackDown commentator John Bradshaw Layfield had other ideas.
As the Second Coming reversed an RKO attempt into the Walls of Jericho, the crowd roared as they heard bells. But it wasn't the ring bell, it was the opening bars of JBL's entrance theme.
With Orton struggling in the submission hold, JBL came to ringside, taunting his rival. Watch the video...
"Normally, the first-ever Undisputed Champion in wrestling history and the Legend Killer WWE Champion is enough. Not when JBL is in town, son, JBL announced. When JBL is in town, son, this is what the crowd wants to see."
JBL entered the ring, and referee Mike Chioda called for the DQ as Jericho bum rushed the Texas tycoon. As Y2J turned, Orton unleashed a vicious RKO on Y2J, then told JBL "he's all yours."
The former WWE Champion wound up and clocked the Second Coming with the Clothesline From Hell, then soaked up the boos and jeers from the soldiers at ringside.
Santa can't see you Mr. McMahon proudly marched to the ring, and in the middle of all the soldiers looking on, gave the troops a message of unconditional support.
"This is the fifth year in a row in which the WWE has the privilege of paying tribute to the troops to each and every one of you. Perhaps second only to your families, the WWE supports you no matter where you are in this world ... If you're in action, the WWE will be right behind you in action as well."
McMahon introduced a Divas tag-team match to the soldiers' delight, but as the team of Mickie James & Maria were bronco-busting Layla & Kelly Kelly, Mr. McMahon interrupted the proceedings, telling the troops they'd "seen enough" of the Divas' action. He also announced that Santa Claus would not be coming to Iraq this year.
But as the soldiers booed, Santa Claus came to the ring, bringing bad news for The Chairman. Watch the video...
"Since he was a child, Vince McMahon has always hated Santa Claus, because Vince McMahon has always been a very bad boy." Santa recalled. The holiday gift-giver remembered the Chairman as a child, shoplifting "a very naughty magazine" from a convenience store.
The disgusted Chairman ripped off Santa's beard and hat to reveal former WWE Champion John Cena. Still recovering from an injury suffered earlier this year, the Chain Gang Commander scooped up Mr. McMahon and slammed him to the mat with an FU. Cena saluted the troops, and passed out gifts with the Divas, spreading Christmas cheer.
DX-tra Special Holiday Gang Green was in full force as D-Generation X reunited by special request of the troops to battle Mr. Kennedy & Umaga in tag-team action. Just as Umaga was gearing up for a Samoan Spike on The Game, HBK shocked his chops with Sweet Chin Music, then delivered a second superkick to his Green Bay nemesis. Triple H cradled the 2007 Money in the Bank winner for a Pedigree and picked up the pinfall victory. Watch the video...
After the match, The Game and HBK invited a selection of soldiers into the ring for a symbolic DX chop as Blackhawk helicopters flew overhead.
Not cool After their high-impact Ladder Match at Raw's 15th Anniversary, Carlito looked to even the score with a win over Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy, but it wasn't to be. A Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb sealed yet another win for Hardy, continuing his hot streak as he prepares to face Orton at the Royal Rumble.
Giant buzzkill Mark Henry looked to squash former World Champion Rey Mysterio like a sand gnat, but the fast attacks of the extreme luchador was too much for the World's Strongest Man. Mysterio worked on the big man's leg, and after a 619 and West Coast Pop, he was able to roll up the stunned behemoth for the three-count.
Hornswoggle & Finlay def. The Great Khali & Ranjin Singh ECW Champion CM Punk, Rey Mysterio & Kane def. Big Daddy V, Mark Henry & United States Champion MVP Santa Festus def. Santa Deuce (Santa Match) Batista def. World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder def. Batista (DQ; Handicap Match for World Heavyweight Championship)
ROCHESTER, N.Y. As 2007 cools down, WWE Superstars continued to heat things up in Upstate New York. Rey Mysterio teamed with ECW Champion CM Punk & Kane to defeat Big Daddy V, Mark Henry & United States Champion MVP on SmackDown.
Both Punk and Mysterio were looking for retribution against the Franchise Playa; Punk from this past Tuesday on ECW on Sci Fi, when MVP attacked him after their match, and Mysterio after MVP was counted out of their bout at Armageddon. Teammate Kane also was hoping to continue the rivalry between him and Big Daddy V. On SmackDown, the Straightedge Superstar had the Master of the 619 and the Big Red Machine by his side, and the trio was able to overcome the Dominant Force in WWE, the Worlds Strongest Man & the U.S. Champion.
Departing deity JBLs Farewell Address to Friday Night SmackDown showed that the self-proclaimed wrestling god is still full of the fire that made him one of WWEs most controversial (and successful) Superstars. (WATCH) The former WWE Champion has jumped out of retirement and will head to Raw to resurrect his in-ring career, leaving SmackDown without the musings of the man who single-handedly changed the face of The CW Network. JBL also had some harsh parting words for his now-former broadcast colleague, Michael Cole, in a WWE Mobile on AT&T exclusive video.
Peaks and valleys Continuing the rivalry between The Great Khali and Finlay, the Punjabi giant teamed with his translator Ranjin Singh, making his in-ring debut, in a tag match against the Irishman & Hornswoggle. The antics of Mr. McMahons lillegitimate son seemed to rub off on Finlay Friday night as the two green-clad Superstars made Singhs SmackDown debut an unforgettable one. The Irishman & his pint-sized partner defeated the duo of Khali & Singh, but our fans were left to wonder why Khali watched from outside the ring as the Irish tandem had their way with his translator. Swan song for 16-Time Champ? Ric Flairs unparalleled career has spanned 35 years in sports-entertainment, but this New Years Eve on Raw, that calling may come to an end when Flair faces longtime friend Triple H in a Career Threatening Match. In what may be his last appearance on Friday Night SmackDown, the Nature Boy assured our fans in Rochester, If Im going to have one last fight, there is no competitor I would rather face than The Game. (WATCH)
When Ric Flair steps into the ring on New Years Eve with his livelihood on the line; will the mutual respect he and Triple H have for each other help or hinder the 16-time World Champions quest to continue his career?
Saint Nick slugfest In a special Santa Match, Santa Festus fought Santa Deuce just days before Christmas. When the bell rang, Festus transformed from nice to naughty, and he dismantled Deuce to get the win. While Festus and his biscuits n gravy partner hope the holidays will bring them closer to tag gold, Deuce & Domino are still in search of a holiday miracle, or at least a victory to get them back on the road to tag supremacy.
Spicing it up The date between Jamie Noble & Michelle McCool happened on Friday Night SmackDown, and the ever-fiery Superstar made sure that the All-American Diva would have a night to remember. Noble treated the beauty to some fine-dining, and then showered her with a gift to commemorate the occasion. Will McCool and Noble head out on the town again? (WATCH)
Threes company World Heavyweight Champion Edge received an early present from his love, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero. She placed the Rated-R Superstar alongside the newly-named Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match against Batista with the title on the line. Just as it appeared The Animal had recaptured the gold, Vickie had another gift for Edge when she changed the ruling and restarted the match. The Ultimate Opportunist and his friends Hawkins & Ryder capitalized, destroying Batista. Read the full story
NEWS FROM THURSDAY'S "iMPACT!" BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV Angle vs. Cage announced for the January 6 "Final Resolution" PPV By Bill Banks
There are several news items to report from Thursday's special holiday "iMPACT!" broadcast on SpikeTV, including two matches announced for the January 6 "Final Resolution" Pay-Per-View event!
- It was announced during the broadcast that Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle will defend the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at "Final Resolution" against "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage!
- Cage and Angle got into a brawl at the end of the holiday broadcast after Angle took down Santa. Cage hit the ring and attempted to place the World Champion in his own Ankle Lock submission, but the Olympic gold medalist escaped from the ring.
- By winning their bout against Team 3D and Johnny Devine on "iMPACT!", the Motor City Machineguns and X Division Champion "Black Machismo" have earned the right to face them at the January 6 Pay-Per-View in an Ultimate X Match.
- Eric Young had a Christmas party on the broadcast, which included his entire family as well as a number of the TNA superstars. However, the festivities came to an abrupt halt when Samoa Joe arrived looking for Matt Morgan. Joe (who is in the middle of contract negotiations) told Morgan that Cornette could stick his latest offer. Joe then proceeded to trash the entire party in a fit of rage.
- In the Santa's Workshop Knockout Streetfight, Awesome Kong defeated Christy Hemme to get the win. Following the bout, TNA Women's Champion Gail Kim hit the ring to exact some revenge on Kong as the two had to be separated by TNA security.
- In a Reindeer Ladder Match, it was Kaz defeating "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, which forced the humiliated Styles to wear a reindeer outfit to end the broadcast. Styles suffered a similar fate last month when he lost a bout on Thanksgiving and was forced to wear a turkey outfit!
Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang def. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz Shelton Benjamin def. Local Kenny Dykstra def. Nunzio ECW Champion CM Punk def. United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter (disqualification)
ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Land of the Extreme turned upside down on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night, as champions licked their wounds and challengers celebrated.
The most confident tandem in sports-entertainment, WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz, kicked off the evening when they took on Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang. Our fans on ECW Fan Feedback asked to see the rematch of these two tag teams, and WWE delivered. Since upsetting MVP & Matt Hardy and taking their titles, Morrison & The Miz have been able to put aside their personal differences for the good of remaining champions. It was a different story when they entered the ring for a rematch of last week's bout, however, as Moore & Yang's hard work since their last meeting paid off with a win.
After Moore & Yangs victory over the WWE Tag Team Champions, its hard not to question the chemistry and communication between the Shaman of Sexy and the self-proclaimed chick magnet. Is a common goal truly enough to keep these competitors working efficiently together? Or is the gap between them, initially sparked by their personal desires to unseat CM Punk as ECW Champion, too much to overcome?
Shelton Benjamin had a better night than Morrison & The Miz. The man who considers himself to be the Gold Standard in ECW has yet to suffer defeat since joining the roster, though our fans and Tazz called into question his most recent opponent. A hometown athlete taking part in his first match was no contest for Benjamin, who announced once again before leaving the arena that there "aint no stopping him now."
Speaking of new Superstars, Kofi Kingston offered a tour of his home, Jamaica. He brought another message to ECW, continuing to warn the roster that he intends on bringing trouble to Tuesday night paradise. (WATCH)
Later in the night, Nunzio dressed for the holiday season. Even after setting the bar so high with his Halloween costume, Nunzio still did not disappoint. Unfortunately, while he succeeded in impressing with his elf outfit, he fell short in his match against Kenny Dykstra.
Capping off the night, United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter boasted his superiority to ECW Champion CM Punk. WWEs highest-paid Superstar didn't prove himself within the rules, though, as he was disqualified in the main event. Chavo Guerrero made a surprise appearance and added to Punks already difficult night with an attack. (WATCH) More on this story
