Bischoff speaks out on the Hogan/Twitter incident Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 08/12/2010 at 12:03 PM
In an interview with SLAM! Wrestling, Eric Bischoff explained his side of what happened on Wednesday with the "official" Twitter account of Hulk Hogan. Bischoff said that him and Hogan had talked to Bubba The Love Sponge about having BTLS's people help out with setting up the Twitter account and website.
On Wednesday morning, BTLS posted the link to Hogan's Twitter account and Bischoff, assuming it was legit, linked it as well. Bischoff said he hasn't talked to BTLS about why the account wasn't verified and wished he had spoken to Hogan first.
It is probably a 16-year-old dweeb that doesnt have anything better to do, Bischoff said about who could be behind the fake account. I am 99% sure that there is no validity behind it and the person does not work for TNA.

In a match that pitted snarling enemies, John Cena & Bret Hart faced down Edge & Chris Jericho in a battle of current Team WWE members against two Superstars who had left the squad high and dry. To dial up the tension, members of The Nexus were stationed outside the ring acting as "lumberjerks."
During the bout, The Nexus simply couldnt help themselves. The seven deadly sinners climbed into the ring to confront Cena and Hit Man. Confident they had the two where they wanted them, the numbers game tightened when John Morrison and R-Truth shot in to help their fellow Team WWE members. Then the seven deadly sinners appeared shocked when Edge & Jericho eventually turned to help their former opponents. In the end, The Nexus and Team WWE exchanged blows in a slice of what can be expected this Sunday at SummerSlam.

Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty & Alex Riley def. Kaval, Percy Watson & Lucky Cannon; WWE Champion Sheamus attacked Kaval (PHOTOS | WATCH | VOTE NOW IN THE NXT POLL) As the second season of WWE NXT rockets skyward, six NXT Rookies brought their talents to Monday night. Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty & Alex Riley faced down Kaval, Percy Watson & Lucky Cannon. In the end, it was the burly Harris who snuffed out the agile Kaval to win for his team. It was the third win in a row over Kaval for the "Army tank with the Ferrari engine."
Afterward, a still fuming WWE Champion Sheamus, who had been stewing ringside after his encounter with Randy Orton, charged the ring and further punished Kaval before barking out his frustration to the WWE Universe.
WWE Champion Sheamus scuffled with Randy Orton (PHOTOS | WATCH) In six days, the question will be answered. For now, though, the WWE Universe is wondering: Who will hold the WWE Title after SummerSlam? The latest evidence to ponder came when current champion Sheamus called out his SummerSlam opponent Randy Orton. As the two fierce competitors jawed back and forth, the anonymous Raw General Manager intervened via email. Through his spokesman, announcer Michael Cole, the GM stipulated that were any Superstar to interfere in the match, they would be suspended indefinitely. The GM also encouraged the Irishman to retaliate against The Vipers claim that hes scared of him.
A melee ensued between the two, and when the dust had settled, it was Orton who had bested his rival. Although The Viper could have punted Sheamus in the skull, he uncharacteristically stopped short and instead, he actually handed the WWE Championship to the dazed Irishman.
Mark Henry vs. Ted DiBiase ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH) The Nexus persist in brutalizing any Superstar even considering joining Team WWE. The carnage continued with Mark Henry. In the locker room area, The Worlds Strongest Man asked Team WWE members John Morrison and R-Truth to consider his bout against Ted DiBiase his audition to join their SummerSlam squad. Once The Nexus got wind of Henrys hopes, they quickly dashed them by attacking before the match, leaving Henry battered and immobile.
Melina def. Divas Champion Alicia Fox in a Non-title Match, Divas Title Match arranged for SummerSlam (PHOTOS | WATCH) Ring rust? What ring rust? This week, Melinas message got a whole lot louder. Not only did the homecoming queen defeat Alicia in a non-title bout, but the anonymous Raw General Manager arranged a Divas Title Match between the two at SummerSlam.
United States Champion The Miz def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH) It had been a rough couple of weeks for United States Champion The Miz. Despite capturing the Money in the Bank contract, The Cleveland Screamer found himself stymied during his attempts to cash in. This week, he gained a head of momentum after facing Evan Bourne in a non-title match. Although the high-flyer has been soaring lately, the U.S. Champ clipped his opponent's wings for the victory.
Chris Jericho and Edge attacked Bret Hart; The Nexus attacked The Hart Dynasty (PHOTOS) Oh, Canada! With just six days until SummerSlam, Bret Hart took a break from training in Calgary to address the further deterioration of Team WWE. The legendary Canadian appeared ready to convince his fellow countrymen, Edge and Chris Jericho, to rejoin the group.
First out, the arrogant Jericho proved as condescending and stubborn as ever, rebuffing the advice of the WWE Hall of Famer. Next up, The Ultimate Opportunist praised Hit Man before turning on him and attacking. Hart countered and sent Edge to the mat, at which point, Jericho jammed a thumb in Harts eye. The attack came as Edge & Jericho prepare to face The Excellence of Execution & John Cena in a tag team match later in the evening.
As the two scoundrels retreated, Harts niece, Natalya, hurried to the ring. She breathlessly informed her uncle that The Nexus had just ambushed The Hart Dynasty seemingly in an effort to prevent them as replacements on Team WWE.
Yet more from the "Hulk Hogan" Twitter account Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 08/11/2010 at 03:41 PM
Here are the latest posts from the @realHulk_Hogan account on Twitter which, as mentioned before, was confirmed as a legit account by Eric Bischoff. In fact, both Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett are following the Hogan account.
"Sorry guys, not revealing myself because at the end of the day, I need to put food on my family's table and getting fired won't help that. But if I can use this big work as venue to provide TRUE honest opinions of the TNA biz today, then great, because we have no other way. AJ spoke out for us a little while ago and got ridiculed. Had it been anyone else, they would either be suspended or fired. So I took it upon myself to use the "biggest name" to get our voices heard. It may seem like a pussy move, but try being in our positions. We got no choice but to use the Internet to our advantage here. And it's our hope that sites like PWInsider.com will publish our message. Because @TNADixie reads PWInsider.com, but it's not like she listens to them very much. And we love Tommy Dreamer, but how does he come first before us? How do all these ECW guys, who had their chance in 1995, come before us? No disrespect to the ECW guys either. Just saying. @TNADixie got worked herself when she believed in @EBischoff and Hogan by firing Christopher Daniels and bringing in Venis Jordan,NastyBoys. And all the rest of the Hogan contingent. Where is Daniels now? Where is Samoa Joe? Where is Amazing Red? Where is Kendrick? Where is Scotty Steiner, who could still WORK for his age. We loved Scotty. We don't need Hall or Waltman who use TNA in reminisce old times. f***in use Desmond Wolfe, use Homicide, use Hernandez, use Awesome Kong, us the people that brought you to the dance @TNADixie. And use me the way I've been suggesting. You always assure me that things will go in the right direction, but then forget about it. Then there's @EBischoff who runs his mouth saying he talks to talent when he's never spoken to me about the product once. And I'm sorry, I love Vince Russo, but his time as a writer was long gone after he left the WWF. Demote him to ring crew staff, honestly. Russo will have more fun watching us stretch and practice in the ring before the shows instead of writing our work. That's it for now. Send the message to @TNADixie. Out to the beach now."
More from the "Hulk Hogan" Twitter account Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 08/11/2010 at 03:23 PM
Dixie Carter posted the following on her Twitter page:
"Recent twitter of Hulk Hogan leaving TNA is bogus. To what extreme people will go."
The "Hulk Hogan" account then posted the following:
"@TNADixie Yes it's bogus, but @EBischoff himself is bogus. I work for you Dixie and respect you so much, but you've fallen off the wagon. @TNADixie You need to wake up and realize who your true TNA troops are. I don't see Hogan or @EBischoff breaking a sweat. @TNADixie I've bled for TNA, I've sacrificed for TNA, and I've put my family on the line for TNA... for what? To be pushed aside? It's BS @TNADixie And you know it deep down. If things don't change, a couple of us are quitting. @TNADixie I speak for a whole crop of men and women in the back. We're not happy."
So is TNA working a storyline on Twitter now? We'll just have to wait and se...
"Hulk Hogan" on Twitter says he works for TNA Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 08/11/2010 at 03:12 PM
The latest twist in the Hulk Hogan/Twitter story is that the person who made the account is actually a TNA employee. Here is what was posted:
"This one was for the INTERNET WRESTLING COMMUNITY! Beat us if you can, survive if we let you! How I got this to work: Well, here's the truth and honestly the truth, I work for TNA and am a current employee. TNA doesn't listen to any of us backstage. We're not allowed to step on anyones toes. So I thought this would be the best way to express my true thoughts. I hate Bischoff. I don't hate Hogan, but I don't see him helping TNA, he's just taking money. So let us do what we do best... And that's to provide true TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING. @TNADixie, this is a shoot brother. We want @EBischoff OUT! Hogan and Bischoff always play up how we're a happy family backstage. But that's far from it. We get paid shit. Some of us were paid better in 2006, no lies. Some of us got our eyes on a new wrestling company coming up in Florida and you know what, if it doesn't have @EBischoff's name, it's a draw"
Today Eric Bischoff announced that Hulk Hogan had an official Twitter account @realHulk_Hogan. Shortly after this announcement, the following message appeared on account:
"I know you've heard the rumors brothers and they are true. Eric and I are leaving TNA on a mutual basis. I just got out of meetings now. It was really fun but time to move on. TNA has new leadership coming in. Make sure you Hulkamaniacs still support them. TNA needs the power of Hulkamania to live on brothers."
Bischoff then posted a message saying that the Hogan account that Bischoff himself promoted is actually fake:
"The Hulk Hogan twitter posts are fake. Hulk IS in the process of setting up a page, but has not as yet. The rumors of us leaving TNA are bogus."
Was the account hacked? Is Bischoff screwing with fans? Who knows what is going on.

Edge Moving Back to Smackdown Brand Posted by Steve Carrier on 08/05/2010 at 08:24 PM
The official Syfy website lists Edge, as well as The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool, as appearing on Friday Night SmackDown when the program debuts on the network this October.
Regarding Edge, he was originally supposed to remain on SmackDown before WWE's mentality during the Draft changed to making the Raw brand the company's top priority. A renewed push for the Smackdown brand is expected this fall given that Vince McMahon has predicted with its move to Syfy that the audience for SmackDown will eventually be as large as Raw's.

WWE star rips into Lacey Von Erich Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 08/06/2010 at 12:21 PM
WWE star Goldust is the latest wrestling personality to critique Lacey Von Erichs in-ring ability as he remarked the following on Twitter while watching her compete on last nights episode of TNA Impact:
- Sting made his return to TNA on last night's iMPACT, siding with Kevin Nash in an angle against Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett. Sting was wearing the red face paint from his Wolfpac days in WCW.
According to multiple sources within World Wrestling Entertainment, the company has signed reigning ROH World Champion Tyler Black to a contract.
It is believed that Black signed a developmental deal with WWE, but it has not been confirmed. He is expected to start with the company in September.
Black, who has been with Ring of Honor since 2007, has several title defenses scheduled next month. He will defend the ROH World Championship at the Glory by Honor Internet pay-per-view on Sept. 11 against Roderick Strong.
Black recently indicated on his Twitter account that he had some decisions to make, which sparked rumors that he would be joining WWE.
-- As reported yesterday here on the website, tonight's TNA HardCORE Justice pay-per-view main event between Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn will not take place as advertised. Lynn sustained a severe injury to either his back or hip while working out at the gym last week. He went to the doctor several times trying to get it fixed but reportedly decided within the past day that there was no way he'd be able to compete. Regarding the replacement main event, company officials are contemplating several ideas and there is talk of having RVD put his championship on the line. With that being said, the company has plans booked several months in advance and thus a title switch tonight is highly unlikely.
