Undertaker's return at Summerslam still uncertain

There is no guarantee that the Undertaker will be back in time for Summerslam. While the working plan was for him to return at the show, things are said to be touch and go at this time. The set of TV booked after the MITB PPV will likely determine if he will be returning or not.

    Update van Melina zelf

Latest comments from Melina regarding her injury
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 07/13/2010 at 12:37 PM

Melina wrote the following on Twitter:

"This tweet is about my day at fcw. Everyone thinks I'm wrestling right now and I have to do some wrestling style therapy to see what I can actually do and if it's safe for me. The www doctor still needs to talk to my doctor in LA, then get back to the fcw therapist. I admit, certain moves scared me. I'm not sure if what I feel at times is bad, normal or all in my head. We just have to wait and see. I will keep you posted each day.

Going to fcw is great. It reminds me of how I started, how I felt and what I went through.... And how far I have come.... And still I have much more to do... I see where I want to go.

Talking to people about wrestling, letting them know I understand what they are going through and to keep on working hard because it's worth it if you love it.

I love meeting people and it was great to meet them all at fcw. I hope they know I'm here to help. I want to see the art of wrestling live on and if I can inspire or teach just a little bit so it can live on or so they realize their dream, it will fill my heart with joy.

I look forward to the rest of the week. Talking to everyone and spending time with them. I hope I can roll around a bit. Talking about wrestling makes my heart yearn to do it that much more. I NEED to wrestle."

REDEN WAAROM JR VAN WWE INTRO VERDWEEN

Possible reason JR was removed from WWE intro
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 07/13/2010 at 12:09 PM

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

As seen at the top of last night's RAW broadcast, WWE debuted a modified montage video. Among the changes were "Classy" Freddie Blassie, Buddy Rogers, Gorgeous George and Harley Race being added, but the most striking change was the removal of the voice of Jim Ross in favor of RAW announcer Michael Cole. Ross was unaware of the change, which he noted last night on Twitter.

Ross was reportedly removed from the opening video montage as punishment for appearing on camera at UFC's 116 PPV event in Las Vegas two weeks ago. Ross was interviewed on camera by Ariel Helwani of AOL Fanhouse following Brock Lesnar's victory over Shane Carwin. While Steve Austin, Bill Goldberg and Paul Heyman were interviewed as well, Ross is the only one currently under contract to WWE and thus decision was made to make an example out of him.

    BELLA TWINS TOEKOMST ONZEKER?

    Bella Twins future
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 07/13/2010 at 12:04 PM

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

With WWE’s RAW guest host concept seemingly on its last legs, one company source said “things don’t look good” for The Bella Twins.

Throughout the duration of the concept, the twin duo’s screen time would hinge on the guest host of the week (due to their role as arm piece) and creative opting to sparingly use them in a wrestling capacity on RAW. In recent weeks they have been largely relegated to WWE’s secondary show Superstars as a result of the concept being de-emphasized.

Florence Henderson, who wasn’t even announced in advance on RAWA, was the last guest host scheduled. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s the final one.

Following the angle at last night's TNA Impact TV tapings where the Hard Justice PPV will feature an "ECW" theme, a ton of former ECW wrestlers are already being contacted about appearing at the PPV and Tommy Dreamer appears to be the one doing a lot of the calling. Former ECW talent Bill Alfonso was backstage at the tapings last night, but was not used on camera. He is expected to have a role at the Hard Justice PPV next month.

TNA President Dixie Carter was described as being nervous about her segment with Tommy Dreamer at the tapings last night. She reportedly sought out feedback from several people after the show. To no one's surprise, Vince Russo gave her high praise.

Update on the creative team situation in TNA

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

According to Dave Meltzer, the main reason for Ed Ferrara being fired from the TNA creative team was for financial reasons. Ferrara was hired with a good salary, but when TNA started their budget cutbacks, the creative team was one of the areas hit. Ferrara was doing a lot of the work to make things easier for Vince Russo such as writing of the show and putting together pre-taped segments.

Russo is currently writing everything for the shows, although Tommy Dreamer has been put in charge of the ECW invasion storyline.

The latest on Hulk Hogan's TNA status

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

As mentioned before, Hulk Hogan has been against TNA bringing in Paul Heyman. The official reason for Hogan missing the recent tapings was due to his back problems.

At this point, the planned Hogan vs. Abyss match at Bound For Glory appears to be off. There was also talk of Hogan having a match with Sting which likely won't happen either.

Hogan's deal with TNA was believed to be for one year, which means he would be finishing up around Bound For Glory.

Young fan jumps the guardrail at Impact taping

Young fan jumps the guardrail at Impact taping

    Source: ProWrestling.net

A teenage fan jumped the guardrail and entered the ring following the Mr. Anderson vs. Matt Morgan match at last night's Impact taping in Orlando. The fan, who was described as being 13 years old, charged towards Anderson and held up his arm after the match. Morgan got up and clotheslined Anderson, which apparently scared the teenager as he ran away. The scripted angle continued as planned once the intruder left the ring.

There was heat on Universal Studios security for allowing the teenager to reach the ring. The teenager was told that he is prohibited from attending all future shows at The Impact Zone.

On another note, there was a lot of joking backstage following the incident about how Morgan should have taken the kid out.

This comes on the heels of a female fan entering the ring at Monday's RAW taping. As noted earlier, during that incident Cena and Orton were in the ring when the female fan jumped in and got to Cena. Security grabbed her and tried to get her out of the ring. She put up a hell of a fight by wrapping herself in the ring ropes. Finally, three security guards and referee Jack Doan got her out of there.

Mark Henry & Lucky Cannon def. The Miz & Alex Riley
The Nexus won the 20-Man Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Nexus returned to their roots Tuesday night, wreaking havoc on WWE NXT. Wade Barrett led the pack of former NXT Rookies to victory in a 20-Man Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal over the season two class and their WWE Pros, leaving an indelible mark on WWE NXT.

With the NXT Poll opening again next Wednesday on WWE.com, and the second elimination just two weeks away, The Nexus’ invasion of WWE NXT comes at a critical time in the NXT Rookies’ competition.

The Nexus won the 20-Man Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Nexus has been sending shockwaves throughout Raw since banding together under the guidance of WWE NXT season one winner, Wade Barrett. Now, the former NXT Rookies have made their presence felt on season two of WWE NXT, winning a 20-Man Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal against the current NXT Rookies and WWE Pros. The Nexus worked together as a perfect unit, using their strength in numbers to rid the ring of all of the current NXT Rookies. Then, they systematically eliminated the remaining WWE Pros – John Morrison, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston and Cody Rhodes – after United States Champion The Miz cowardly took himself out of the match.

After the Battle Royal, The Nexus continued their assault on the WWE Pros, leaving a strong message for the WWE Universe. Barrett said the Nexus returned to prove they could make a difference in WWE, regardless if they were labeled NXT Rookies in season one. (WATCH)

“One thing’s for certain: You’re either Nexus or you’re against us,” Barrett warned.

The “'Showtime' Percy Watson Show” came to WWE NXT (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It’s “Showtime”! Thanks to his win in last week’s Talk the Talk Rookie Challenge, NXT Rookie “Showtime” Percy Watson earned the chance to host his own talk show on WWE NXT. The always-entertaining Watson invited MVP as his special guest and thanked him for being such a great WWE Pro. Determined to make an impact two weeks before the next elimination, “Showtime” also invited his fellow season two NXT Rookies to the ring. The WWE Pros soon followed, prompting a confrontation. Host Matt Striker declared the standoff to be settled in the ring with an Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal. Feeling a bit left out, the Nexus interrupted, hoping to get in on the action, and Striker declared a 20-Man Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal to take place immediately!

Mark Henry & Lucky Cannon def. The Miz & Alex Riley (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Still reeling from the aftermath of his No Contest decision on Raw against United States Champion The Miz, Mark Henry sought retribution against his fellow WWE Pro in a tag team match with their NXT Rookies. The World’s Strongest Man had his sights set on destroying The Miz, just five days before they’ll meet in the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match on pay-per-view Sunday. With the help of NXT Rookie Lucky Cannon, Henry earned the tag team victory, pinning Riley after a devastating World’s Strongest Slam. Afterward, The Miz backed up the ramp as Henry took out the trash on Riley, dumping a full garbage can on the bully of a Rookie, just as The Miz did to Henry the previous night. With his tag team win, Cannon’s record increased to 2-3, while Riley’s fell to 2-2. (WATCH: The WWE Pros discuss NXT Rookie Alex Riley)

The Nexus returned to WWE NXT (PHOTOS)
Wade Barrett led The Nexus back to WWE NXT, just one night after they defeated John Cena in a 6-on-1 Handicap Match and attacked several Superstars on Raw. The former season one NXT Rookies were met with plenty of hesitation, but Barrett wished the season two class all of the best, and urged the WWE Pros not to instigate any trouble.

In two weeks the second NXT Rookie will be eliminated from the competition. Who will impress the WWE Universe and the WWE Pros the most in the hopes of becoming WWE’s next breakout star? Return to WWE.com Wednesday, July 21 to vote in the NXT Poll. The WWE Universe’s votes count for 50 percent!

The Nexus def. John Cena in a 6-on-1 Handicap Match

LEXINGTON, Ky. – While everyone’s favorite TV mom Florence Henderson tried to keep the Raw roster on the straight and narrow, The Nexus would have none of it, continuing to prove their as angry and out-of-control as Mel Gibson on a phone rant.

The Nexus def. John Cena in a 6-on-1 Handicap Match; WWE Champion Sheamus confronted Cena (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Even John Cena can’t stop a rising tide – not forever, anyway. After defying Raw’s anonymous General Manager, the seven-time WWE Champion was forced to compete against The Nexus in a 6-on-1 Handicap Match (Darren Young was out due to injuries suffered at the hands of Cena last week). Despite a valiant effort, Cena was simply overwhelmed by the numbers.

After losing the contest, Cena reevaluated and armed himself with a steel chair from ringside. He managed to lay some serious hurt on several members of The Nexus before his Money in the Bank steel cage opponent, WWE Champion Sheamus, intervened. Brandishing a chair of his own, The Celtic Warrior assisted Cena in clearing The Nexus from the ring. The Irishman was likely motivated by the fact that The Nexus went after him, too, during a series of locker room area beatdowns that targeted several Raw Superstars.

The Nexus attacked several Raw Superstars (WATCH)
After lending a hand last week to their fellow Raw Superstar John Cena, Yoshi Tatsu, John Morrison and Evan Bourne all felt the sting of The Nexus. In separate incidents throughout the locker room area, each man was pummeled by the band of outlaws.

"The Santino Bunch" def. "The Regal Bunch" (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With America’s favorite mom, Florence Henderson, looking on with pride – and astonishment – in her eyes, Santino Marella, Vladimir Kozlov, The Great Khali & Goldust tackled the challenge of William Regal, Zack Ryder, Primo & Doink the Clown in an Eight-Man Brady Bunch Tag Team Match. In the end, the “Santino Bunch” proved too strong for the “Regal Bunch,” despite the clever recruitment of Doink the Clown, a staple of the ’90s, who competed alongside such unlikely ring warriors as Brooklyn Brawler, Abe “Knuckleball” Schwartz and Kim Chee.

After the victory, the amorous Italian moved in for a smooch with “Mrs. Brady,” but Henderson opted out. Instead, she locked lips with - who else? - The Punjabi Playboy.

United States Champion The Miz vs. Mark Henry ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Miz thinks he’s got all the answers. Unfortunately for him, Raw’s anonymous General Manager keeps “changing the questions.” The mystery GM informed the United States Champion that, after he attacked R-Truth last week and put him out of the Raw Money in the Bank Match, he must face Truth’s replacement: Mark Henry!

The World’s Strongest Man rattled the United States Champion, but The Miz would not be denied. He dodged Henry’s attack and even dumped garbage on him in a humiliating display.

Edge def. Randy Orton (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In what has quickly devolved into an acrimonious affiliation, Edge and Randy Orton faced off in a hard-hitting, tactical affair. The Money in the Bank competitors quickly lashed out at one another straight away. As the bout progressed, their fellow Money in the Bank participant, Chris Jericho, appeared at ringside. The distraction provided The Ultimate Opportunist with just the occasion he needed to force The Viper on his back for the win.

In the aftermath, cunning and chaos reigned. Retaliating for the previous week’s Spear, Jericho struck Edge with a Codebreaker only to be silenced by one of Orton’s RKOs. Money in the Bank rival Evan Bourne soon joined the bedlam. After nailing The Viper with a swift kick, Bourne beelined for the top rope only to be caught by an RKO when he attempted to drop a Shooting Star Press on Orton, who stood tall amongst the carnage.

John Morrison scuffled with Ted DiBiase (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With his sultry security, Maryse, at his side, Ted DiBiase spoke (down) to the WWE Universe, telling them that he will emerge victorious in the Raw Money in the Bank Match. Having heard enough, John Morrison confronted The “Fortunate Son,” who squeaked out a win the week before thanks to a meddling Maryse. Before long, the two Money in the Bank competitors were exchanging blows. Just as The Shaman of Sexy prepped to land Starship Pain on DiBiase, Maryse dragged him away, earning her keep.

The Usos & Tamina def. Unified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty & Natalya (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Not since the Hatfields shared a zip code with the McCoys have families been so at odds. In a possible preview of their title match at this Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event, The Usos & Tamina hard-charged Unified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty & Natalya in a Six-Person Tag Team Match and managed to shock the Canadian Club with a victory.

Divas Champion Alicia Fox def. Gail Kim; GM arranged Divas Title Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Karma can be a real drag – just ask Divas Champion Alicia Fox. After Fox faked an ankle injury last week to win her match against Eve, Raw’s anonymous General Manager called out the leggy lovely and arranged a Divas Title Match this Sunday at Money in the Bank.

Before she could defend her title, though, Fox needed to defeat the always dangerous Gail Kim. With Eve looking on from ringside, the Divas Champion did just that, pinning Kim for the three-count.

The Nexus confronted John Cena (PHOTOS)
Despite overwhelming odds, John Cena promised to take down as many members of The Nexus as humanly possible in their 6-on-1 Handicap Match at the end of the evening (originally 7-on-1 until Darren Young’s Cena-induced injury). Cena also offered thanks to the Superstars who assisted him the week prior when The Nexus sprung an ambush on him – notably absent from that assist was WWE Champion Sheamus.

Cena was interrupted by announcer Michael Cole, who relayed a message from Raw’s anonymous General Manager. The mystery GM informed Cena that no Superstars would be allowed to interfere in the 6-on-1 Handicap Match or they will suffer a 90-day suspension, and The Nexus must tag in or they will be suspended, too. With that, The Nexus and their de facto leader Wade Barrett, left after chiding Cena before their bout.

Playboy’s “Cyber Club” has published nude photographs of Maryse (under her real name, Maryse Ouellet). Furthermore, her image is being used to advertise the pictorial. However, it should be noted that the photos were taken several years ago ago, before she joined WWE. While WWE is not partnering with Playboy, the adult entertainment company owns the rights to the photos and thus able to publish and promote the photos at its discretion.

Eric Bischoff publicly stated that he would not be at the Victory Road PPV, but some say that he stayed home as a way to "make a point to Dixie Carter" in regards to rumors that Paul Heyman is coming in. Some feel that Hogan also stayed home as a way to "distance himself from TNA if and when Heyman comes in." The reported reason for Hogan missing the PPV was that he is still recovering from recent surgery.

It is believed that Hogan and Bischoff are contracted to TNA through the end of 2010.

According to a source, talks between Paul Heyman and TNA are still ongoing and that he could be coming in soon to oversee a complete makeover of the company roster and TNA's front office. As of this writing, nothing has been signed between Heyman and TNA, but the word is that the two sides are "closer to a deal than they are letting on."

    Victory Road Pay-Per-View Results
    - Ultimate X Match: Douglas Williams retained the X Division Championship over Kendrick. It was a back-and-forth bout, with both superstars focusing on getting the submission win, especially Kendrick. At one point when both superstars were hanging from the cables and fell, Kendrick came down awkwardly and hurt himself. This allowed Williams to put Kendrick in the Cobra Clutch, and Kendrick was unable to answer the referee. After the bout, TNA officials had to use smelling salts on Kendrick.

    - Brother Ray defeated Jesse Neal and Brother Devon - prior to the bout, someone (presumably Brother Ray) locked Brother Devon in his locker room. It was a brawl between Ray and Jesse. Raven, Richards, Rhino and Tommy Dreamer came out during the bout to watch. When Ray tried to bring a chair in, Shannon Moore came out to try to help, but the referee stopped him, allowing Ray to crack Jesse with it. However, Devon eventually escaped and hit the ring and traded punches with his longtime partner. However, Jesse hit his tackle on Devon, allowing Ray the opening to get the pin and the win on Jesse. After the bout, Ray left on his own leaving Devon and Jesse in the ring.

    - Knockouts Title Match: Angelina Love defeated Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne by DQ when a mysterious figure attacked Love AND the referee during the bout, resulting in Love becoming the NEW Knockouts Champion! After Love was awarded the gold, Rayne got on the motorcycle with the mystery person and rode out of the arena.Love is now the first-ever four time Knockouts Champion!

    - AJ Styles and Kazarian defeated TNA Global Champion Rob Terry and Samoa Joe - AJ and Kazarian realized they had to work together in order to win and get entry into Ric Flair's "Fortune" alliance. They had the advantage for much of the bout until Samoa Joe hit a devastating urinagi on Styles, allowing Rob Terry to tag in. The Global Champion annihilated Styles and Kazarian with power moves. Samoa Joe set up Kazarian for the muscle Buster, but Desmond Wolfe came out to hold Joe's leg and block the move. With Joe distracted, AJ and Kazarian hit a flying elbow, flying legdrop and a 450 splash on Terry to get the pin and the win! After the bout, Wolfe came into the celebrate with AJ and Kazarian, but they left the ring - allowing Samoa Joe to get his revenge on Wolfe by hitting the muscle Buster!

    - Steel Cage Match: Hernandez defeated "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan - Morgan had the chance to escape several times, but chose to continue to beat on Hernandez. Hernandez came back and tried to hit his Border Toss on Morgan, but was unsuccessful. Hernandez then went all-in and attempted a high-risk jump off the top of the cage on his nemesis, but missed. Morgan then handcuffed Hernandez to the cage and tried to climb over. However, Hernandez broke free and jumped through the ropes and through the cage door to beat Morgan to the outside for the win!

    - In the greatest Jay Lethal defeated "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair by making Flair tap out to his own Figure Four leglock! Flair went in extremely cocky and went to work on hurting Lethal's leg. However, Lethal refused to give up when Flair locked it in. Later, Lethal managed to lock Flair in his own move, and this time "The Nature Boy" tapped out in a historic moment! After the bout, Lethal grabbed the mic and told the world the win was dedicated to his mother.

    - Tag Team Title: The Motor City Machineguns defeated Beer Money to claim their first TNA World Tag Team Championship reign! Late in the bout, referee Brian Hebner was blinded by James Storm spitting beer, resulting in his father Earl Hebner coming in to help. Later, both referees registered a double-pin, resulting on a controversial ending. However, Earl Hebner restarted the bout - allowing the Machineguns to regain control and get the pin on James Storm after a top rope double-team move to claim the gold!

    - #10 Contender Kurt Angle defeated #8 contender, The Pope - both superstars showed respect towards each other throughout the bout. Late in the bout, Angle hit the Angle Slam and locked on the Ankle Lock. Pope tried to reverse it, but Angle latched it back in and forced Dinero to tap out! Great match and very physical. After the bout, Angle helped Dinero to his feet and the two superstars briefly hugged before the Olympian left to celebrate.

    - TNA World Title: Rob Van Dam successfully defend the gold against Jeff Hardy, Abyss and Mr. Anderson. Early on, all four superstars had pinfalls, but were all broken up by each other. Late in the bout, Hardy and Anderson started to go at it. Hardy managed to hit his swanton finisher on Anderson, but Abyss came into the ring and chokeslammed Hardy on top of Anderson! Then, Rob Van Dam jumped on the top rope and hit the Frog Splash on top of Abyss, pinning the pile of superstars to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Title! After the bout, Abyss attacked RVD and brought in his 2-x4 with the nails, but RVD quickly escaped and left the ring to celebrate as the Pay-Per-View went off the air!
