TNA Wrestling has offered Sting a contract extension. There is no word if he has accepted the deal.
Sting's current contract expires at the end of 2007. He will be taking a break from the company until January to spend time with his family.
Sting's original plan was to retire at the end of 2007, but TNA would like to sign him for one more year. If Sting does return, 2008 is expected to be his final year in the business.

Second verse, same as the first The monstrous rivalry between Kane and Big Daddy V exploded once again on SmackDown, as the two monsters met in singles action. Kane was looking for payback for ECW on Sci Fi, when he defeated Big Daddy V & Matt Striker in a Handicap Match.
Kane was victorious again on SmackDown, this time by disqualification. As the Big Red Monster was seemingly on the road to victory, Striker got involved with a steel chair getting his protégé disqualified in the process. However, Kane thwarted Strikers attempted chicanery, clobbering him with a clothesline before smashing the chair across Big Daddy Vs ample back. (WATCH)
Irish eyes are crying As another act of tough love, Mr. McMahon put son Hornswoggle into a match with another massive opponent this time, the Worlds Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Finlay, however, had a problem with that, telling McMahon that this wasnt part of their deal. Instead, the WWE Chairman set up a Handicap Match Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Henry. Thanks to a little help from their trusty shillelaghs, the Irish duo picked up the victory. After the bout, however, Finlays past of helping Hornswoggle finally caught up with him. As The Great Khali who the ornery Irishman assaulted with a shillelagh during his Survivor Series Match with the lil leprechaun approached ringside, the Worlds Strongest Man assaulted Finlay from behind. Khali then added a devastating choke bomb to the Irishmans misery, as poor, frightened Hornswoggle could only look on in horror from the corner. (WATCH)
A night of seconds WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison made the second defense of their newly won gold, taking on The Major Brothers. Brett & Brian Major had hoped their second WWE Tag Team Title Match would end better than the first, but unfortunately, once again, they came up just short. The brothers from Long Island fought valiantly, though, even with Brett Major busted wide open by John Morrison. Miz & Morrison seemed to show no ill effects from being opponents at Survivor Series, retaining their gold after Miz gave Brian Major a Reality Check.
Engine failure Jamie Noble may have put his foot in his mouth once again on SmackDown, but this time, he ended up getting the last laugh. Prior to Nobles match with Chuck Palumbo, Michelle McCool caught him straddling Palumbos chopper. Noble tried to sweet talk the beautiful blond Diva, but his advances were quickly spurned. No matter for Noble, who survived a tough match and pulled out a surprising victory, using the motorcycle enthusiasts size against him to gain the pinfall with a roll-up.
Going 2-for-2 in the Sunshine State After being on the winning side of a 10-Divas Tag Team Match at Survivor Series, Torrie Wilson once again found the winners circle on SmackDown. This time, the blond bombshell from Boise showed off her ring prowess in solo action against Victoria, one of the Divas on the losing end at Survivor Series. Moments after escaping Victorias dreaded Widows Peak, Torrie dropped her opponent with a neckbreaker to seal the victory.
The Champ is still here sort of Jesse & Festus also made a SmackDown appearance, but not in the ring. Instead, they came as fans well, fans and perhaps merchandisers, as Jesse extolled the virtues of the new John Cena My Life DVD with his big buddy Festus in tow dressed to the nines in Cena gear, of course. Unfortunately, their time was cut short thanks to Festus insistence of another DVD viewing, but before leaving, the burly country boy made it known that if you dont follow The Champs virtues of hustle, loyalty and respect, then perhaps you cant see him. It was learned that Edges actions were the culmination of four months of planning with the love of his life, Acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero. Once the two revealed they were in cahoots, Vickie named Edge the new No. 1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship, granting him a match against Batista next week. But when The Animal was the guest on the return edition of The Cutting Edge, all Hell broke loose. That wouldnt be the only ring MVP got a feel for on this night, however; after listening to the Ballin Superstar run down Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio had enough and challenged MVP to a non-title match. - Chris Sabin of The Motor City Machineguns defeated Brother Devon of Team 3D in the first three-way bout. Abyss was eliminated from the bout after Black Reign and Rellik interfered in the match, as the three brawled out of the arena.
- Samoa Joe won the second three-way bout over Johnny Devine and Kip James of the Voodoo Kin Mafia when he pinned Devine after the Muscle Buster.
- AJ Styles won the final semi-final three-way bout over X Division Champion "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal and AJ's former mentor "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage. After Cage hit the Unprettier on Lethal, AJ accidentally stole the pin from his former friend!
- In the finals, it was Samoa Joe defeating AJ Styles and Chris Sabin! Samoa Joe won the $25,000, while the superstar he pinned - AJ Styles - was forced to wear a turkey suit!
- Also on "iMPACT!", Kevin Nash and Scott Hall crashed Kurt Angle's Thanksgiving dinner! Later in the broadcast, Hall and Nash joined Samoa Joe in a beatdown of their Turning Point opponents - Tomko, Styles and Angle. As the broadcast went off the air, Eric Young hit the ring and shoved a turkey leg in Angle's mouth.

Earlier in the evening, our fans received an early present for the holidays. Elijah Burke ushered in Shelton Benjamin as ECWs newest roster addition. It didnt take long for the former Raw Superstar to make an impact. He defeated ECW Original Tommy Dreamer, pleasing the brand's self-proclaimed Guiding Light. Burke announced he once led the charge to change the Land of the Extreme, claiming he is now doing it again.
If a new Superstar wasnt enough for our fans to kick off the holiday season, a scorching hot fight between Kelly Kelly and Layla certainly was. Layla addressed the Tampa, Fla., audience, boasting that she is better than Kelly in every way possible. She also made sure to give thanks for The Miz and his decision to arrange a catfight between the two Divas next week. Before Layla could finish, Kelly attacked her and started a food fight that would make any Thanksgiving dinner fail in comparison. (WATCH)
ECW Champion CM Punk kicked off ECW on Sci Fi, riding his white hot winning streak for another night. The match also displayed the continuance of the agreement between ECW General Manager Armando Estrada and SmackDown Acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero.
In other Tuesday night action, Kevin Thorn returned with his new look to ECW on Sci Fi, earning a convincing win against Nunzio. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz also offered their commentary while Jesse & Festus bested Deuce & Domino.

Matt Hardy underwent an emergency appendectomy in a Tampa, Fla.
hospital tonight. He was scheduled to appear at tonight's SmackDown
taping, but this suddenly came up. Hardy's expected to be out of action
for one to three months. Hardy didn't appear at the tapings, so this
health issue surfaced earlier in the day.

appendectomy at a Tampa area hospital tonight. Doctors expect the

appendectomy by definition is the removal of the appendix from the
lower right area of the abdomen. Oftentimes, if the surgery is not
performed immediately, severe consequences can follow.
Hardys

The student has become the master. After suffering three consecutive defeats at the hands of Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes has finally managed to top the former World Tag Team Champion.
The young upstart spent months trying to earn the veterans respect. Now, it seems, Rhodes has drawn on those experiences to overcome his mentor.
Rhodes win comes just one day after he and Holly teamed up to challenge reigning World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch for the title at Survivor Series. While the duo lost the match, Rhodes nonetheless gained valuable ring time.
Just one day before the match, Holly spoke with WWE.com about how Rhodes was still green and how he was teaching his young partner to toughen up and kick ass.
Mr. Holly, consider those to be lessons learned.
Before Rhodes could celebrate, though, Randy Orton dropped both he and Holly with RKOs. It seemed the WWE Champ didnt appreciate having to share the spotlight on what he perceived as his night.

King, Interrupted
After another humiliation last week, compliments of Jerry The King Lawler, you might expect to find Santino Marella hiding out in a dark basement. But no, the hot-headed grappler challenged Lawler to a rematch. After suffering Marellas disrespectful words, Lawler pulled out the win. But Randy Orton cut any celebrating short when he dropped Lawler with an RKO, just as he had done with Rhodes and Holly.
Musical Chair
It probably wasnt nearly as satisfying as laying out Randy Orton with Sweet Chin Music, but Mr. Kennedy would have to do. As Shawn Michaels taunted Orton, the Green Bay, Wisc., native shot into the ring and challenged HBK. After a give-and-take brawl, Michaels finally put Mr. Kennedy to sleep with Sweet Chin Music through a steel chair.
Flight Delay
In his matchup against Jeff Hardy, Umaga appeared determined to down the man who had eliminated him the night before at Survivor Series. Just as it appeared the aerial artist would divebomb the Samoan Bulldozer again, yuck-mouthed ogre Snitsky trounced into the ring and dropped blows on Hardy. Not one to let Umaga gain any sort of advantage, Triple H shot in and helped Hardy repel the twin terrors.
Diva Four Play
In a Divas Tag Team Match, Mickie James paired with Maria to take on Jillian Hall & Melina, the woman James had pinned the night before at Survivor Series. After hitting a rough patch with Jillian, James showed why shes been on a tear lately as she laid the Kiss of Death on the tone-deaf Diva and pinned her for the three-count.
No Small Feat
The night after going face-to-knee cap with The Great Khali at Survivor Series and being rescued by Finlay, Hornswoggle appeared pumped to take on the challenge of Carlito. At the behest of Mr. McMahon, the Caribbean Bad Apple was sent to teach the leprechaun some tough love. Instead, Finlay intervened and pushed Hornswoggle over the top again.
Fire Extinguisher
An excited Randy Orton could hardly wait. The WWE Champion stood poised to accept a torch that he said symbolized the ushering in of the Orton era. But as he awaited the hand off of the torch, one man stood in his way: Chris Jericho. The "Sexy Beast" interrupted the ceremony and let Orton know that hes intent on capturing the WWE Championship.
TNA Wrestling has officially signed female wrestler Jessica Kresa,
better known as "ODB". She has worked with the company without a
contract since Bound For Glory.
ODB made her first TNA debut
back in 2004 when she wrestled with the ring name "Poison". After that
short stint, she was picked up by Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE's
developmental territory. There, she quickly rose to the top of their
women's division and eventually became the OVW Women's champion.
During an episode of TNA Today a few weeks ago, ODB revealed that her name stands for "One Dirty B****".

WICHITA, Kan. Just two days before they both take part in the 10-Man Traditional Survivor Series Match, Finlay took on Raw Superstar and Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy in a non-title contest. The Irishman and two of his Survivor Series partners were on the losing end of a Six-Man Tag Match to Hardy and two of his teammates this past Monday on Raw, and he still hoped to make one last impression before the battle on Sunday. Hardys speed and agility gave him an early advantage, but on this night, the ever-physical Finlay resorted to using his trusted shillelagh, giving Jeff the win via disqualification. After the match, Jeff informed his brother Matt that he was leaving the arena because he had plans, and Jeffs absence would lead to severe consequences for his sibling. Enduring spirit
This past Monday on Raw, The Hardys teamed up with Rey Mysterio. On SmackDown, the Master of the 619, a member of Triple Hs team this Sunday, was in one-on-one action against Mr. Kennedy, who will be part of Umagas team at Survivor Series. The high-flying style of Mysterio kept Kennedy at bay for the majority of the match, and when it looked as if Raws loudmouth was going to steal a victory, Mysterio once again showed the heart he possesses when he pinned and defeated Mr. Kennedy. Also on SmackDown, Hornswoggle reluctantly took part in the official weigh-in for his match Sunday against The Great Khali. The usually fun-natured lillegitimate son of Mr. McMahon was all frowns as he came face-to-leg with the largest man in sports-entertainment. The uneasy partnership between Matt Hardy and United States Champion MVP imploded on SmackDown when the two faced ECWs John Morrison & The Miz for the WWE Tag Team Championship. The self-proclaimed Shaman of Sexy and Miz capitalized on the self-destructing partners and became the new champions. Immediately following the loss, MVP challenged the new champs to a rematch, but the already beaten Hardy couldnt overcome an injury to his leg and Miz & Morrison left Wichita with the gold.
