What Happened After Fatal 4 Way Went Off the Air

What Happened After Fatal 4 Way Went Off the Air
Posted by Steve Carrier on 06/21/2010 at 11:05 AM

After the PPV went off the air, John Cena took the house mic and addressed the crowd. Cena said that it appears there is a very black cloud shadowing over The WWE.

Cena said he will go home angry and upset, not because Sheamus is the champion because titles come and go. He's angry that the company and universe he fights for have been taken over on television and now a PPV. He said they think they can do whatever they want. He said he's still here and so are the fans.

Cena said there are fans here who have strong opinions on his ability to wrestle. He said all the noise is the noise everyone in the company have fought for over the years. He said that no matter what you think of him, he can fight. He promised to take on all seven each week until every single one of them fall.

Cena said he believes in WWE and all the stars who have earned the right to be here and he will not have that taken away. He said he will stay and fight and tomorrow is another day to fight. He said he prays those sons of bitches show up tomorrow, threw down the mic and left.

    Update over shad Gaspard

    - As noted before, Shad Gaspard has been spending a lot of time in WWE developmental lately. The plan after WrestleMania was for Shad to be pushed as a top heel on SmackDown as officials were high on his size and the fact that he can move well and talk. Shad has been sent to FCW because he wasn't getting over.

    Note on Danielson

    Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

    - One of the stranger things about Daniel Bryan's WWE release is that Vince McMahon personally fired him via telephone late Friday night of last week, instead of having someone like John Laurinaitis do it. WWE creative and company executives were said to have no idea that any trouble with Danielson was even brewing. Some knew that there was heat from the tie incident on RAW but nobody expected that this would happen.

    Update Angle

    Kurt Angle's next big match

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

    - Kurt Angle’s body is still pretty banged up and he’s taking a few more weeks off to let his body heal. If he’s able to return in time for Victory Road on July 11th, he will wrestle against either Samoa Joe or The Pope as part of his mission to beat all of TNA’s “Top 10 Contenders.”

The Miz & Alex Riley def. MVP & “Showtime” Percy Watson
    Michael McGillicutty def. Titus O’Neil
    Eli Cottonwood def. Kaval
Cody Rhodes def. Lucky Cannon in a Five-Minute Challenge

MANCHESTER, N.H. – With the first NXT Poll less than a week away, several NXT Rookies did everything in their power to prove to the WWE Universe and the WWE Pros that they have what it takes to become WWE’s Next Breakout Star.

The NXT Rookies offer their closing arguments (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Before the first NXT Poll next week, the NXT Rookies pleaded their cases to the WWE Pros and the WWE Universe, each explaining why he should be WWE’s Next Breakout Star. But NXT Rookie Husky Harris said he wouldn’t need 45 seconds to plead his case. The third-generation competitor took a page out of the book of his WWE Pro, Cody Rhodes, and shockingly attacked WWE NXT host Matt Striker, a move that garnered congratulations from Rhodes.

WWE Universe, you will help decide who will be WWE’s Next Breakout Star. Return to WWE.com next Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET and make your vote count in the NXT Poll!

Cody Rhodes def. Lucky Cannon in a Five-Minute Challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
While berating Lucky Cannon at the end of last week’s WWE NXT, WWE Pro Cody Rhodes told the NXT Rookie he’d be lucky to last five minutes with him. So this week, the WWE Pro put a determined Cannon to the test in a Five-Minute Challenge, meaning he didn’t have to defeat Rhodes, but merely last five minutes in the ring with him. But Lucky’s luck ran out before the five minutes were up, as the former Tag Team Champion dominated the match and defeated him in just 3:58 with a Cross Rhodes as the WWE Pros looked on. (WATCH: Meet Lucky Cannon)

Eli Cottonwood def. Kaval (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With a clear size advantage, the 7-footer, Eli Cottonwood, defeated fellow NXT Rookie, Kaval, who stands significantly shorter at just 5 feet 8 inches. The quick and nimble 174-pound Kaval put up a noble fight against the 313-pound Cottonwood, as his WWE Pros, Women’s Champion Layla and her bestie, Michelle McCool, looked on. But Cottonwood simply dominated his much smaller opponent. WWE Pro John Morrison congratulated his undefeated protégé, Cottonwood, after the match, while Layla and Michelle presented Kaval with a personalized pink “Property of Lay-Cool” shirt. With his win, Cottonwood upped his record to 2-0, while Kaval remained winless at 0-2.

Michael McGillicutty def. Titus O’Neil (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Michael McGillicutty added a second win to his undefeated streak with a victory over fellow NXT Rookie, Titus O’Neil. With his WWE Pro, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston, in his corner, the third-generation competitor pinned former footballer O’Neil, who also had his WWE Pro, Zack Ryder, at ringside. It was surely another emotional win for McGillicutty, who told the WWE Universe he called his mother – whose maiden name was McGillicutty – after his first win on WWE NXT last week. McGillicutty’s record increased to 2-0, while O’Neil remained winless with an 0-2 record. (WATCH: Meet Titus O"Neil)

The Miz & Alex Riley def. MVP & “Showtime” Percy Watson (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Thanks in part to the return of his WWE Pro, The Miz, this week, NXT Rookie Alex Riley continued his hot streak on WWE NXT. As the WWE Pros looked on, the energetic NXT Rookie Percy Watson joined his WWE Pro, MVP, in the tag team match, and dominated The Miz, almost earning the win. But the United States Champion turned the momentum in his favor and hit a Skull Crushing Finale on “Showtime” for the win. With his tag team victory, Riley’s record moved up to 2-0, while Watson’s record fell to 1-1.

Also, the newest member of the WWE NXT broadcast team, Ashley Valence, informed the NXT Rookies that it’s their last chance to make a first impression on the WWE Pros and the WWE Universe. The first NXT Poll is next week! You, the WWE Universe, will vote at 10 p.m. ET next Tuesday for the NXT Rookie you think is WWE’s Next Breakout Star. Your vote counts for 50 percent and the Pros’ vote counts for 50 percent when the first NXT Poll rankings are revealed on next week’s show. Which NXT Rookie will become WWE’s Next Breakout Star and earn a future championship match on a pay-per-view?

Natalya vs. Tamina ended in a No Contest
    John Morrison def. Zack Ryder
The Great Khali & Eve def. Primo & Divas Champion Alicia Fox
John Cena vs. WWE Champion Sheamus ended in a No Contest

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – One night after the seven season one NXT Rookies decimated the WWE landscape at Fatal 4-Way, the pugnacious pack once again tore into the Raw roster to make their presence felt – even going so far as to attack The Chairman himself, Mr. McMahon!

John Cena vs. WWE Champion Sheamus ended in a No Contest; Mr. McMahon attacked by NXT Rookies (PHOTOS | WATCH: Part 1 | Part 2)
Will the season one NXT Rookies ever relent? Even after landing the contracts they were clearly determined to secure, the brash bunch still appear ravenous. During the night’s main event match, pitting WWE Champion Sheamus against John Cena with Mr. McMahon acting as special guest referee, the bold band of Superstars rushed the ring. Despite The Chairman’s strong guarantee of retribution for anyone who interferes, the NXT seven ambushed Cena.

And while conspiracy theorists within the WWE Universe had pegged Mr. McMahon as the potential mastermind behind the devious actions of the season one NXT Rookies - seemingly bolstered when he accepted culpability for several of their attacks - those theories were quickly scuttled when the seven trained their fire on The Chairman himself! Mr. McMahon announced that the new GM would offer up a revelation on the next Raw before he received a brutal beating at the hands of the Rookies. Is there nothing this defiant band of outlaws won’t do in order to get what they want?

Rob Zombie to act as Raw’s special guest host next week
WWE Universe, let there be rock. Oh, and there will be. Be sure to tune in and turn it up next week when rock monster and horror film director Rob Zombie shakes things up as special guest host.

United States Champion The Miz interrupted Randy Orton; Edge attacked Orton (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When Randy Orton addressed the season one NXT Rookies, he vowed revenge on each of them for, as he saw it, costing him the WWE Title at Fatal 4-Way the previous night. As he lambasted the NXT seven, newly minted United States Champion The Miz cut him short.

The self-proclaimed “Awesome One” berated The Viper and told him to “get in line” for the WWE Title before leveling a sneak attack. While Orton countered Miz’s strike, Edge quickly joined the fray. The Ultimate Opportunist ran in and rammed The Apex Predator with a Spear before whispering to his rival that now, “the real fun begins.”

The Great Khali & Eve def. Primo & Divas Champion Alicia Fox (PHOTOS | WATCH)
One night after capturing the Divas Title at Fatal 4-Way and Alicia Fox already thinks she’s royalty. A royal pain perhaps. The new Divas Champion teamed with Primo against The Great Khali & Eve. Thinking she’s above it all, Fox simply abandoned her partner in the ring, allowing The Punjabi Playboy to devastate Primo for the win.

John Morrison def. Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH)
There was a slight change of plans for John Morrison. The Shaman of Sexy was scheduled to compete against Ted DiBiase, but The “Fortunate Son,” with his new assistant Maryse in tow, informed Morrison that he had “other plans for the night.” Ahem.

Accompanied by his season two NXT Rookie Eli Cottonwood, Morrison would instead compete against Zack Ryder. With Ryder’s own season two NXT Rookie, Titus O’Neil, looking on, The Guru of Greatness channeled his attack and pinned Ryder for the victory.

Natalya vs. Tamina ended in a No Contest; NXT Rookies apologized to the WWE Universe (PHOTOS: Part 1 | Part 2 | WATCH)
After dedicating her match against Tamina to her uncle Bret, Natalya was livid when the proceedings were cut short by the season one NXT Rookies. The group’s de facto leader, Wade Barrett, began to apologize for their actions, which led to Bret Hart’s dismissal, when David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd attacked in a quest for vengeance. The Unified Tag Team Champions put up a valiant fight but were subdued by the six other NXT Rookies.

The NXT Rookies then surprised the WWE Universe by offering apologies for their actions and attempting to explain why they’ve been behaving like a pack of rabid hyenas. Several of the Rookies stated that they did what they did not out of anger but out of love of WWE. Describing his group's bond - a "nexus" - Barrett then emphasized that his loyalty propelled him to join his colleagues and that he had also been granted his future pay-per-view title match again by the mystery GM.

Ted DiBiase fired Virgil, hired Maryse (WATCH)
Ted DiBiase knows money – and looks. After a dismal performance at Fatal 4-Way for he and bodyguard Virgil, The “Fortunate Son” canned his manservant and opted for an “upgrade.” After Virgil’s dismissal, DiBiase introduced Maryse as his new source for “protection.”

Chris Jericho def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It’s been a rough month for Chris Jericho. After falling short in his matches for the past several weeks, Jericho’s humiliation was punctuated at Fatal 4-Way when he dropped his bout to Evan Bourne.

On Raw, he demanded a rematch. If he lost, Jericho promised he would leave WWE. And while it looked a little touch and go there for a while, the wily Superstar managed to squeak out a victory. After the match, a still steaming Jericho leveled the high-flyer with an underhanded shove.

Mr. McMahon fired Bret Hart, named new GM; WWE Title Match main event announced (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Mr. McMahon giveth, Mr. McMahon taketh away. After assuming the Raw General Manager position last month, Bret Hart found himself unceremoniously fired by The Chairman on Raw for not attending the previous night’s Fatal 4-Way. Hart’s absence, Mr. McMahon reasoned, is what allowed the season one NXT Rookies to run wild, interfering in the WWE Championship Match and permitting Sheamus to take advantage of the chaos to prevail. Mr. McMahon then informed the WWE Universe that a new, anonymous GM would take the reins, emailing announcer Michael Cole his dictates.

The mystery GM was quick to act. His first order of business? Hiring all seven NXT Rookies. Then, in the wake of new WWE Champion Sheamus’s victory, the Raw GM also allowed John Cena to invoke his rematch clause, meaning that he will face the Irish champion for the title the main event. And to ensure there will be no interference, Mr. McMahon will act as special guest referee!

    Results by ProWrestlingSCOOPS.com

“Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…”

    WWE Fatal 4 Way Opener:

The show opened with a video that concluded with Kane saying there will be vengeance (over what happened to Undertaker)... Pyro went off inside the building. Michael Cole introduced the show...

    - Ring announcer Justin Roberts introduced Mr. McMahon as the chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment. Vince walked onto the stage to a nice pop.

Vince apologized for starting the show on a "somber note" and said Raw General Manager Bret Hart would not be here tonight. They showed the Team NXT attack on Hart from last week's Raw. Vince said he was meeting with "Bret's representatives" later to determine when Bret would be able to return to his duties, and what action would be taken against Team NXT. There was an audible "Daniel Bryan" chant during Vince's promo.

    - Drew McIntyre came out and shook hands with Vince McMahon before heading to the ring. The McIntyre-Long match from Smackdown this past week was recapped.

A shot aired of Vince climbing inside his limo backstage... In the ring, McIntyre cut a promo on Teddy Long. He called him a pathetic shell of a man as Teddy walked to ringside. Drew said he was going to make Teddy present him with the Intercontinental Title after the match...

    Intercontinental Championship
Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

Kofi looked angry coming out, and the referee had to hold him back during the introductions. Kofi immediately began throwing kicks at the legs and body at the bell. McIntyre fought back with punches and threw Kofi down by the hair and stomped his head. They slugged it out, then Kofi hit a monkey flip and a dropkick. Kingston clotheslined McIntyre to the floor. Kofi hit a tope, then rolled him back in the ring. McIntyre rolled back out, then clipped Kofi's leg as he came out after him. Back in the ring, McIntyre threw Kofi shoulder first into the ringpost and got a two count. McIntyre pounded Kofi with forearms, then pulled him across the ring apron and pounded him across the chest. Kofi kicked Drew from his back, and they fought on the outside, with Drew whipping Kofi's arm into the ringpost.

Back in the ring, McIntyre got a two count, then applied an armbar. Kofi armdragged out of it, then slid under McIntyre, but Drew hit him with a shoulderblock. Drew stomped the arm, and Kofi tried to fight back, but Drew stomped him down in a corner. Drew flipped Kofi to the mat with an armwringer, then applied a overhead wristlock. Drew yanked Kofi to the mat by the hair and continued to work on the arm. McIntyre mocked Kofi's "Boom" claps, and it allowed Kofi to throw some kicks from the mat, but Drew pounded him back down. Drew returned to the armbar, but Kofi fought up and went for a sunset flip. Drew tried to punch out of it, but Kofi moved and Drew punched the mat. Drew came right back with a kick to the injured arm for a two count.

Drew clotheslined Kofi twice in the corner. Drew went for a short-arm clothesline, but Kofi floated over it and hit a DDT. Kofi elbowed Drew, then hit some kicks to the legs. Kofi punched Drew in the head, then hit a series of chops and a dropkick. Kofi missed a clothesline, then Drew missed with one and Kofi rolled up Drew for a two count. Kofi hit a reverse bodypress out of the corner for a two count, but Drew hit the arm again and delivered a neckbreaker on the knee for a two count. Drew went for a slam, but Kofi floated out of it and hit a legsweep. Kofi hit the Boom Drop legdrop, then began to clap. Drew backed away from the Trouble In Paradise kick, and backdropped Kofi to the ringapron. Drew hit some punches and went to back suplex Kofi into the ring, but Kofi shifted his weight and landed on top of Drew for a two count.

Drew hit a running kick on Kofi, then went for the Future Shock DDT, but Kofi broke out and hit a Tornado DDT off the middle rope. Drew got his foot on the bottom rope to stop the count. Kofi mounted Drew in the corner for punches, but Drew walked out of it with a powerbomb on Kofi for a near fall. Drew complained about the count. Drew picked up Kofi off the mat, but Kofi hit the SOS for a two count. McIntyre tripped Kofi into the turnbuckles, but Kofi grabbed a headscissors. Drew stood up in the headscissors and threw Kofi into the referee, knocking him out.

Drew threw Kingston shoulder first into the ringpost and hit the Future Shock DDT, but there was no referee to count. McIntyre tried to revive the referee, then went outside and threw Teddy Long in the ring, demanding he make the count. McIntyre even ripped the shirt off the unconscious referee and ordered Long to put it on. Long did so, and McIntyre made the cover. Long counted two, then stopped and shook his head no. The fans chanted for Long. McIntyre glared at Long, and backed him in a corner. McIntyre told Long he needs to count him, or he would "drop him." McIntyre went to pick up Kofi for another DDT, but Matt Hardy ran in from the crowd and gave McIntyre a Twist Of Fate. Long just watched. Kofi then gave McIntyre a Trouble In Paradise kick and Long counted the pinfall for Kofi at the 17-minute mark.

    Winner: Kofi Kingston

Eve gave Maryse and Fox forearms and dropkicks. Fox and Maryse double-teamed Eve. Kim got on the apron and gave Fox a headscissors while Eve put Maryse in an armbar. Kim let go of her headscissors to break up Eve's hold on Maryse. Kim put Maryse in an armbar of her own, then Fox broke it up and she put Maryse in an armbar. Maryse escaped to the floor. Eve put Fox in a camel clutch, while Kim put Fox a Boston Crab at the same time. Maryse tossed Eve and Kim out of the ring, leaving her to face off with Fox.

They argued, then Fox shoved her. Maryse hit some forearms and a side kick for a cover, but Eve broke it up. Kim came in and dropkicked Eve and Maryse. Kim hit Maryse with a shoulderblock, then a missile dropkick for a one count, as Eve broke it up. Kim got yanked down off the apron by Alicia, who dropped her face first on it Eve gave Maryse a neckbreaker in the ring, then went to the top rope and hit a moonsault. Fox broke up the cover, throwing Eve to the floor, and Fox covered Maryse for the pin at the six minute mark.

Jericho says now he is no longer the hot topic of WWE. He says even Wade Barrett is getting more attention than he is. Jericho says himself hasn’t been making an impact lately. Jericho says he has always been the underdog and now he’s at the top of the mountain and everyone wants to knock him off. Jericho says he is the most important performer on this roster and the greatest Champion of any generation. Jericho says Evan Bourne is trying to make a name off his. Jericho says he challenged Bourne to a rematch from RAW for tonight. Jericho says Bourne’s career is going to fade out tonight. Out comes Evan Bourne to a nice pop.

    Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne

Bourne hit some kicks to the leg, but missed a roundhouse and Jericho hit a German suplex for a two count. Jericho put Bourne in a corner and went for a whip. Bourne reversed it, but Jericho hit a back elbow. Jericho got on the second rope, but Bourne leaped up and pulled him down with a rana for a two count.

Bourne went for his double kneedriver, but Jericho caught it and slowly dropped to the mat, rolling Bourne into the Walls Of Jericho, to a pop. More on Batista; not a fan of the PG era?
Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 06/19/2010 at 12:26 PM

As noted before, Batista was at this week's Strikeforce MMA show and made it clear that he left WWE because he was unhappy with the direction of the company. Batista specifically mentioned the PG aspect and how he got interested in wrestling by watching guys like Steve Austin and The Rock during the Attitude Era. Dave Meltzer asked Batista if he would do something like Chris Jericho and return in a year or two. Batista said he didn't want to be compared to Jericho and said he had no plans on returning but did not rule out a return one day.

Batista joked that he was in Los Angeles looking for work and said he's open for offers, be it MMA or acting. Batista has had discussions about doing a reality TV show.

Apparently Batista has been approached with an offer by a non-major MMA group. Word is that it's a big money offer and is for two fights, likely pay-per-view events and the first opponent would be a well-known former headliner. This is the same offer that Batista hinted around about when he was leaving WWE. Batista has been training regularly at the Affliction gym and has dropped considerable weight since leaving WWE. Most believe that a MMA career for Batista is highly unlikely, given his age and experience, among other things.

Batista's contract with WWE has expired and he is a free agent. TNA did make an offer to Batista but with the large amount of money they have spent on bringing in other big names recently, they couldn't come close to matching what he had been earning in WWE.

    Real Reason Batista Quit WWE

    Real Reason Batista Quit WWE
Posted by Steve Carrier on 06/18/2010 at 01:22 PM

    - As noted before, former WWE Superstar Batista was at last night's Strikeforce MMA show in Los Angeles.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer asked Batista why he left WWE. Batista said he was sick and tired of WWE's direction and had to get out. He said that it wasn't the kind of wrestling he grew up watching and wasn't the product that he had always enjoyed.

Batista didn't rule out a return to WWE but did not seem in a hurry to work with the company again. Batista, who has lost some weight since leaving WWE, said he was out in Los Angeles looking for work. He was seen talking with Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker but The Animal entering the MMA world to fight seems highly unlikely.

    Opening Segment

A video highlighting the Slammiversary VIII pay-per-view aired and we cut to a close up of Eric Bischoff backstage in his office. He says that everyone in TNA can agree that being in TNA is an honor. The camera zooms out to show the TNA World Tag Team Championships on his desk. He says the Band is stripped of the Tag Titles; He wishes Hall the best in the future and hopes to see him back. He says the winner of the tournament will face the Motor City Machine Guns at Victory Road for the vacant belts ((Jarrett’s Jab – I’m glad they aren’t ignoring the fact the Guns won a #1 Contenders match at Sacrifice. They’ve ignored #1 contender’s matches before))

We cut to the ring and it’s the first match of the tournament

The Band (Eric Young and Kevin Nash) vs. Ink Inc. (Semi-Final Match in the Tag Team Title Series)

Kevin Nash and Eric Young start by attacking Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal during their ring entrance. EY and Neal start them off with EY choking Neal with his boot. Flying forearms by EY to Neal before Neal gets thrown into Nash’s boot. Nash gets tagged in and hits Neal with knees in the stomach then right hands and elbows to the face. Nash big boots Neal in the corner before the referee argues with Nash and EY clotheslines Neal. EY gets tagged back in and clotheslines Neal for a two count. Neal fights back with elbows in the gut before EY hits a clothesline and gets a two count. EY gets Neal in a corner and hits him with right hands showing the Wolfpac sign between the two right hands before EY stars to choke Neal with his boot. Neal tries to fight back to no avail. Flying Elbow by EY on Neal gets EY just a two count. Irish whip by Neal before Shannon Moore gets tagged in. Moore goes on an offensive fury hitting EY with a clothesline, dropkick, spin kick, atomic drop, and another spin kick for a two count. Nash gets dropped by a right hand and EY gets a Frankensteiner by Shannon Moore. Nash breaks up Shannon’s pin at two. Nash gets speared by Neal and then the two hit EY with a double team Samoan Drop for the win. Winner by Pinfall and advancing into the finals of the Tag Team Title Series: Ink Inc.

The brackets are shown and Ink Inc. will face the winner of Team 3D vs. Beer Money tonight ((Jarrett’s Jab – Didn’t the Guns beat 3D and Beer Money to get the #1 Contenders shot? They did)) We go to Taz and Mike, who again recap the events of Slammiversary, and then talk how the Championship Committee couldn’t agree on the placement of the top three contenders in the Top Ten Rankings, so tonight we’re going to have a three way match between Mr. Anderson, Jeff Hardy, and Abyss to decide the #1 Contender.

Ric Flair’s music hits, and we go to the entranceway where Flair is joined by his entire team. He’s about to make an announcement that will change the course of history in professional wrestling ((Jarrett’s Jab – If I had a dollar for everytime I heard that….)), and that announcement…is next!

    -Commercial Break-

The Hervey-cam is backstage with Abyss and Chelsea. Chelsea says she’s tired of being abused by Desmond and she wants to be with Abyss ((Jarrett’s Jab – You’ve got to be kidding me! I was hoping they wouldn’t do this)) Abyss says to go back to Desmond and she’s going to want to be around him after tonight. ((Jarrett’s Jab – I hope the god this means there finally turning him heel))

    Flair Segment

Ric Flair says he is going to reform the Four Horsemen, only it’s going to be called Fortune. And Fortune will change the destiny of TNA forever. He says the Horsemen were the best stable of all time because they were the best at whatever they did whether it was wrestling or making love to the ladies. He tells AJ that Arn Anderson would grab that skinny kid from the audience and stomp on his neck. He tells Kaz that Barry Windham would snap him in half. He tells Beer Money that he loves them and there the future of wrestling but Tully Blanchard and Barry Windman would eat them for breakfast. He says that Desmond Wolfe is the Lex Luger of the group; He thinks he’s a big shot, but he’s nothing. ((Jarrett’s Jab – Wow. What a way to build the next big heel stable in TNA BY TALKING DOWN ALL OF THE MEMEBERS!!)) Flair says it’s time for a change and then starts to get on AJ for losing to Jay Lethal at Slammiversary. He says AJ committed Suicide by losing to piss ant from New Jersey and rags on him until Lethal comes out to his music in a suit. He WHOOOO’s and asks Did I hear that punk right there in the ring talk about the Four Horsemen? He says that the Four Horsemen are the greatest faction to ever grace God’s Green Earth. He also says that the Horsemen took a dump in the ring and that’s what they left. Lethal says he’s run the road with the Horsemen, and the guys in the ring are no Horsemen. Flair gets so mad he takes his coat off and throws it into the audience and throws his shoe at Lethal. Lethal tells Ric to watch this and he throws his coat on the ramp and struts before dropping an elbow on it. Ric Flair and Jay Lethal “WHOOOOO!” at each other before Flair yelled “You can’t be me.” Flair and Lethal exchanged “Woooos.” Flair said he could kiss any woman, “even that fat one,” and make her cry. Desmond Wolfe told Lethal to shut his mouth. Lethal took a jab at Desmond by telling him that Chelsea said he was the 60 minute man. Flair got pissed a Lethal for stealing one of his lines and then a “That’s my line” verbal exchange broke out. Flair told Wolfe to take care of Lethal. He said if he did, he’d make him the first member of Fortune. If not, he’s done forever… ((Jarrett’s Jab – I think more of Flairs nicknames were used in that segment that I’ve ever heard. The Space Mountain nickname was also mentioned, but I forgot where in the segment it was))

A backstage shot aired of a topless Lacey Von Erich getting a massage. She was lying on her stomach with the knockouts tag team title laying on her.

    -Commercial Break-

The Harvey-Cam is back with Mr. Anderson as he walks into the building. He is asked if he is ready for his match tonight and Anderson says yes. He’s asked if we’re going to see the real Mr. Andrson tonight and Anderson answers “depends on who you think the real Mr. Anderson is”

    Hernandez vs Samoa Joe

Hernandez takes Joe to the corner but breaks clean. Joe takes Hernandez to the corner and nails him on the break, then pounds him down in the corner. Joe hits a running forearm and enziguiri in the corner, Hernandez fights back but Joe with a back elbow and then takes Hernandez back to the corner as the crowd starts a “Joe is going to kill you” chant. Winner by Pinfall: Samoa Joe

Joe sees the replay on the screen as he heads to the back and realizes what happens, and goes back to the ring to go after Morgan. Morgan is surrounded so he bails out of the ring and hightails it to the back.

Backstage, Desmond Wolfe says that he’s going to do what AJ couldn’t and beat Jay Lethal tonight. AJ says he needs to get his life together because he treated Chelsea bad and she doesn’t want to be with him anymore, and he better beat Lethal because Flair said if he doesn’t, he’s out.

    -Commercial Break-

Backstage, Jeff Hardy says he doesn’t know whether he can trust Mr. Anderson or not. Anderson pops his head in to say hello and Hardy calls him an asshole under his breath when he leaves. Anderson yells “Yes I am” from the hallway ((Jarrett’s Jab – I laughed so hard at Anderson’s comment))

We go back to the ring with Douglas Williams, who is still the X-Division Champion, who says that Slammiversary was a time for celebration, but a time for mourning as well, as the X-Division as we knew it is dead because he killed it with one spectacular flying maneuver. From now on, the X-Division will become famous for the ground and pound style Williams is known for. He’s going to give everyone a lesson in that style right here tonight, and that leads us right into out next match…

Williams comes off the second rope, but Max dodges and hits a somersault Diamond Cutter for 2. Williams with a headbutt to the midsection and a tornado DDT for the win. Winner by Pinfall: Douglas Williams

Williams tortures Buck after the match with a cravate, but Brian Kendrick comes running out to make the save and chokes Williams out with a rear naked choke and Williams taps out like crazy.

We now go to a video package detailing the history of the Sting-Jeff Jarrett feud, and later tonight, Jarrett’s going to call Sting out!

    -Commercial Break-

A video airs highlighting the unvailing of TNA’s new line of action figure. Sting said “When I grow up, I want my action figure to look just like this” AJ said that his figure is a collectible because he doesn’t sport the beard anymore ((Jarrett’s Jab – It should also be a collectable because out of the whole series of figures, it looks the least like the superstar))

We got back to the ring with Angelina Love, who says she’s been sitting out with an injury for the last six weeks, and since injuries can end it at any time, she’s not going to waste any more time. Tonight it’s Lacey Von Erich, next week it’s Velvet Sky, and then at Victory Road, she’s going to take the Knockouts Title back from Madison Rayne.

Angelina Love vs. Lacey of Von Erich

((Jarrett’s Jab – I think Love and Von Erich should switch boots so there outfits actually match)) Angelina nails Lacey coming into the ring and rams her back and forth to the turnbuckles, rams a series of knees to the ribs, then sweeps her legs. Angelina with a series of kicks in the corner, but Lacey with a moonsault out of the corner and she blows a drop toehold, but Angelina goes down anyway. Angelina’s pissed that she went down on her face and goes after Lacey, but Lacey with a hair yank and Angelina goes down. Lacey goes up for the ten punches in the corner, but Angelina powerbombs her out of the corner and then goes to the floor, grabs So Cal Val out of her chair and throws her chair into the ring, and DDT’s Lacey on it to draw the DQ. Winner by Disqualification: Lacey Von Erich

Backstage, Lethal is with Hulk Hogan saying how happy he is to be surrounded by so many famous names in TNA, and Hogan tells him that they weren’t attracted to Lethal for the impressions, they liked his energy and raw talent, and they gave him a shot and he’s come through. Lethal says he never dreamed of being in the same dressing room with guys like Hogan and Flair, but Hogan says that now that he’s up there, he’s got a target on his back so he’d better keep it up.

that he’s up there, he’s got a target on his back so he’d better keep it up.

Elsewhere backstage, Christy Hemme is interviewing Jeff Hardy. Jeff said he’d love to mix it up with the whole f’n show. Christy asks if he can trust Mr. Anderson. He walks on set and makes mention of the people trying to stir the pot. He asks how many times he got in fights with his brother as kids and then worked it all in the end, and Hardy said he did. Tonight they’re going to have to do what they have to do as men, but no hard feelings. They fist pound and Hardy says it’s all good.

Team 3D vs. Beer Money (Semi-Final Match in the Tag Team Title Series)

Devon and Roode start off the match. Devon gets a hiptoss, but misses a legdrop and Roode hits a snapmare. Devon comes back with a flying clothesline for 2, then tags in Brother Ray and they hit a double team legdrop/side suplex for 2. Ray hits a slam but misses an elbowdrop and Storm tags in. Beer Money hits a double backdrop on Ray and then Storm gouges the face. Ink Inc. joins Taz and Tenay on commentary as 3D comes back and hits a double diving headbutt on Storm. Now Beer Money hits a double team Russian Legsweep/kneedrop on Devon for 2. Beer Money tries a double suplex, but Ray comes in and lays them both out. 3D nails a Doomsday Device for 2 then they go for a 3D, but Ray leaves the ring in the middle of the move to go after Ink Inc, leaving Devon alone in the ring where Storm spits beer in Devon’s eyes so Roode can roll him up for the win. Winners by Pinfall: Beer Money

Backstage, Desmond Wolfe tells Chelsea he’s a ticking time bomb, but tonight she’s got a chance to redeem herself.

    -Commercial Break-

    Desmond Wolfe vs. Jay Lethal

Chelsea grabs Wolfe’s coat from him before the match starts. As Lethal got on the top rope, Wolfe threw him off and his head hit the ring apron on the way down. Tommy Dreamer comes through the crowd and takes a seat to watch the match. Taz calls him Tommy Dreamer ((Jarrett’s Jab – So I guess TNA is ignoring WWE copyrighted the name then….moving on)) Wolfe hits an arm snap and then stops to yell at Chelsea some more, allowing Lethal the opportunity to get some shots in. Wolfe then lays him out again and yells at Chelsea some more and she goes to leave, but she trips and falls down on the ramp. Wolfe goes out to stand over her and run her down some more. This opens up another opportunity Lethal to nail him and toss him back in the ring. Lethal hits a leg lariat and a handspring elbow, then a pop up neckbreaker gets Lethal the win. Winner by Pinfall: Jay Lethal

Lethal goes in the crowd to celebrate as Dreamer applauds. Wolfe attacks Lethal, and throws him into the ring. He hits the armwringer and out comes Flair. Desmond holds Lethal while Flair hits some chops and right hands to him. Flair hits Lethal with a low blow before Hogan’s music blares. Hogan shakes his finger at Flair and raises Lethal’s hand. Hogan takes the mic and says that TNA is on fire right now because of guys like Jay Lethal. “Who would have ever dreamed that a little Hulkamaniac would grow up in Elizabeth, New Jersey and then grow up to become a big time wrestler himself.” Hogan has an announcement and calls Ric Flair back out, he tells him that he’s been a thorn in Lethal’s side for a long time now, and the little boy grew up to be a great big man, and now he’s going to make a man’s dream come true, because at Victory Road, it’s going to be Ric Flair vs Jay Lethal. ((Jarrett’s Jab – I’m not happy about Dreamer’s presence because he was essentially forgotton about when Hogan came out. I’m glad Hogan’s pushing for Lethal though, it gives him more credibility in my opinion))

A shot of Sting (minus facepaint and wearing shades) takes us to commercial

    -Commercial Break-

TheTop 10 Rankings are shown and are as followed: #10: Kurt Angle, #9: Desmond Wolfe, #8 The Pope, #7: Jay Lethal, #6: Samoa Joe, #5: Sting, #4: AJ Styles. The top three will be determined by the Three-Way-Dance later tonight ((Jarrett’s Jab: Why have The Pope in the rankings at all. He’s injured!))

    Jeff Jarrett calls out Sting

Jeff Jarrett is in the ring and calls out Sting. Jarrett tells Sting once he gets in the ring that he wants him to take off the sunglasses because he wants to look in his eyes and knows that Sting feels what he’s saying. Sting takes off his sunglasses. ((Jarrett’s Jab – I think this is the first time I remember Sting wearing no facepaint and no sunglasses before on TNA programming, but I could be wrong.)) Jeff says that he wants to remind Steve that he called him first when he started. ((Jarrett’s Jab – I just got a flashback to Sting talking to Abyss and calling him “Chris” back in 07)) Jeff said he wanted Steve to work in TNA because off his professionalism and true iconic status. Even though they’ve not always been on the same side of the fense, they showed each other professionalism, until Sacrifice. Jarrett said all that ended at TNA Sacrifice. “That wasn’t a wrestling match,” Jarrett said. “No, you were hell bent on ending my career.” Jarrett said the demons inside Sting were hell bent on destroying his livelihood, everything he’s about, and how he provides for his family. ((Jarrett’s Jab – Third one in one segment, sorry, but didn’t Sting call Jarrett the “cancer” in TNA before Bound for Glory 06 and try to put him out of TNA. Guess the first time didn’t count, huh?)) Jeff says “But Steve Borden, I’m going to tell you one thing and make it plain and simple, you made one mistake, you left me standing.” Sting laughed. Jarrett asked if he thinks it’s funny. He said it won’t be a laughing matter when they have their rematch next week. Jarrett said he knows what it’s all about. “You’re dead wrong,” Jarrett said. “You’re 100 percent wrong about both of them.” Jarrett said that every minute of every hour, “those two guys have been here.” Jarrett said Hulk has even given his body, and added that that’s probably too much to ask of him at this stage of his career. Jarrett said he won’t be fighting for his family. He said he’s going to be fighting for Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, and the most important ingredient of all, the TNA fans. Jarrett walked away and left Sting standing in the ring… ((Jarrett’s Jab – A very great promo. But Jarrett Jeff Jarrett is fighting for the guy that made him clean bathrooms and flip burgers. I, Jarrett Cox, wouldn’t do that if that all happened to me. Jeff Jarrett must be a different story.))

    -Commercial Break-

Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Abyss (Three-way-dance. Winner becomes No. 1 contender to the TNA Title)

Dreamer was still seated in the crowd for the match. Taz said he hasn’t been able to talk to him because Dreamer isn’t returning his calls or texts. Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy go right after Abyss. Abyss gets whipped into the courner and Anderson drops down to all fours so Jeff can hit the Hardy Boyz springboard leg lariat in the corner. Hardy then hits a double back elbow. Abyss tries to chokeslam them both but they fight out and get a double suplex on Abyss and Hardy covers for 2 but Anderson breaks. Anderson tries a cover but Hardy breaks it up and they go face to face. Abyss uses the opportunity to spear both men as we see another shot of Tommy Dreamer in the crowd. Abyss charges Anderson in one corner then tries on Hardy but Hardy gets an elbow up and then hits the Whisper In The Wind and Abyss rolls to the floor. Anderson stands behind Hardy like he’s going to jump him, but instead baseball slides Abyss and then holds him for a Hardy dive. Anderson pounds on Abyss on the floor and the bell rings…and all three men have been counted out. Countout on Jeff Hardy, Mr. Anderson, and Abyss ((Jarrett’s Jab – I hate the ending, absolutely hate it. A triple countout? Really?))

Anderson is arguing with the referee and Abyss knocks him off. He nails Hardy and starts attacking both of them. Abyss tosses both of them into the ring, then throws Hardy out and hits the Shock Treatment on Anderson. Abyss gets under the ring and gets a kendo stick and hits Hardy in the ribs then in the shoulder with it, then pulls out a bag and pours broken glass in the ring. He nails Anderson with the kendo stick in the back and in the ribs twice, and then gives Anderson the Black Hole Slam in the glass. Abyss goes to leave, looks at Hardy on the ramp, and goes back after Hardy, ramming him with knees, tearing his shirt off, and then chokeslamming Hardy off the stage. Finally Hulk Hogan comes out and asks what this is all about, and Abyss points at him and goes “YOU!” as we go off the air.

Kelly Kelly def. Women’s Champion Layla in a Non-Title Match
    Dolph Ziggler def. Chris Masters
Rey Mysterio & Big Show def. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger & CM Punk

RALEIGH, North Carolina – Just two days before WWE Fatal 4-Way (full coverage), the combatants of the World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match delivered some payback to Kane, a direct response to his brutal attacks in recent weeks. But, before the night’s end, The Big Red Monster would rekindle his rampage and issue a horrifying proclamation about Sunday’s pay-per-view.

Rey Mysterio & Big Show def. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger & CM Punk (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In a tag team main event between the Fatal 4-Way participants, the athleticism of Rey Mysterio proved to be the difference. As Swagger was attempting to hit the Gutwrench Powerbomb on The Ultimate Underdog, Mysterio suddenly countered, crashing down upon “The All-American American” for the quick pin.

Although the victory gave Mysterio and Big Show momentum heading into Fatal 4-Way, the action did not end with the bell. Moments later, Kane reemerged, still determined to weed out the identity of The Undertaker’s unknown attackers. After he chokeslammed Swagger and Punk to the canvas, Kane knocked Big Show from the ring apron and blasted Mysterio with a tombstone. Finally, Kane proclaimed that this Sunday, “it will be a fatal night for the guilty party.” (Match preview)

Dolph Ziggler def. Chris Masters (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In a “WWE Superstars” rematch (full results), Dolph Ziggler locked horns with Chris Masters – ultimately pitting the Master Lock against the sleeper hold. Though Masters broke out of Ziggler’s infamous sleeper to cinch-in his own dangerous maneuver, his bleach blond opponent had enough presence of mind to reach the ropes. Moments later, Ziggler executed the Zig Zag for the win, reminding Masters that he had more than one dangerous weapon in his arsenal.

Kelly Kelly def. Women’s Champion Layla in a Non-Title Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Soon after Tiffany neutralized the self-professed “co-Women’s Champion” Michelle McCool outside the ring, Kelly Kelly reversed Layla’s neckbreaker, and executed the devastating K-2 Legdrop to score a huge non-title triumph over the first English-born Women’s Champion.

Drew McIntyre def. Theodore Long; Teddy saved his job (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Given the ultimatum of facing Drew McIntyre or being fired – per Mr. McMahon’s directive – SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was forced by the Scottish Superstar to get down on his knees, proclaim McIntyre the “Chosen One,” crawl to the middle of the squared circle and lay on his back to take the three-count.

As McIntyre prepared to attack Teddy after the match, Kofi Kingston charged to his rescue. But, with a special security team holding back the Intercontinental Champion, McIntyre was free to carry out a vicious assault on the defenseless Superstar. Matt Hardy then emerged from the crowd, only to suffer the same brutal fate. In a fatal act of aggression, McIntyre delivered the double-under-hook DDT to both Kofi and Hardy.

Will the ruthless McIntyre reclaim his destiny by winning back the Intercontinental Title from Kofi Kingston at Fatal 4-Way? (Match preview)

JTG def. Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS | WATCH)
A highly-charged JTG used the neckbreaker to capture an impressive victory on third-generation Superstar Chavo Guerrero. After the match, JTG invited three young members of the WWE Universe to “kick-it” with him inside the ring.

Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer def. Christian & MVP (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With the ink still fresh on their new, full-time SmackDown contracts, Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer faced Christian and MVP – the two Superstars they recently attacked to help make a name for themselves. After Hawkins overcame Captain Charisma with a devastating elbow drop off the top rope to capture the important victory, he and Archer carried-out a post-match attack on an injured Franchise Playa.

World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger, The  S.E.S., Big Show and Rey Mysterio attacked Kane (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After Luke Gallows emerged from the darkness dressed as The Undertaker to help CM Punk play a joke on the WWE Universe, an enraged Kane arrived to seek retribution. Before he could reach the ring, however, he was ambushed by The Straight Edge Society and World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. Big Show and Rey Mysterio soon chased The Big Red Monster’s assailants out of the ring, only to hit Kane with an earth-shattering 619-chokeslam combination.

Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston def. Trent Barreta

Jimmy & Jey Uso def. Mark Henry & Goldust (PHOTOS | WATCH)
For weeks, Jimmy & Jey Uso, along with their associate Tamina, have been attacking The Hart Dynasty at every turn. Tonight, the impressive team got their first taste of official WWE action when they stepped into the squared circle with the unique pairing of Mark Henry & Goldust. Clearly, going against two of WWE’s most seasoned veterans would be a tough task for any duo, especially two that were just making their debut, but The Usos were up to the task. After a grueling back and forth battle, the dangerous Tamina distracted Goldust, allowing Jimmy Uso to knock The Bizarre One down and nail a huge top-rope splash for the 1-2-3, capping off a stellar debut.

Primo def. Yoshi Tatsu (PHOTOS | WATCH)
On last Thursday’s “WWE Superstars,” Primo teamed with the cocky Zack Ryder to defeat Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust. With that loss still weighing on his mind, the Japanese Superstar entered the ring intent on getting even with Primo. And thanks to The Cardiac Kid’s devastating kicks and aggressive strikes, it looked as though he would get the win. That was until the Puerto Rican Superstar rolled Tatsu up and grabbed a handful of tights to steal the victory. While Primo unabashedly celebrated his win, his party was soon rained on as The Great Khali came down to the ring and flattened the former Unified Tag Team Champion with a devastating Punjabi Plunge.

Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston def. Trent Barreta (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After pulling off an impressive victory over Luke Gallows on last Thursday’s “WWE Superstars,” Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston showed his NXT Rookie Michael McGillicutty how it’s done for the second week in a row with a thrilling win over Trent Barreta. While The Dude Buster is best known for his tag battles on SmackDown, he was vicious with the Ghana native in this non-title bout. Still, Kingston’s explosiveness was too much for Barreta to contain and, in the end, a perfectly timed Trouble in Paradise busted this dude.

WWE superstar rips into Bryan Danielson

WWE superstar rips into Bryan Danielson

WWE Champion John Cena has said kind things about Bryan Danielson on his Twitter account, but not all WWE wrestlers are following suit.

Dolph Ziggler, for instance, had some not-so-nice things to say.

"Why would i sign a petition to bring back someone who never even made it to the WWE roster??? Idiots...," said Ziggler regarding an online petition Cena--and many fans--signed to reinstate Danielson.

He added, "I guess if WWE had a 130 pound weight class, i would cut down and BEAT daniel bryanson, but oh wait, i cant he doesnt work here! Hey, maybe all you internet 'smart guys' can pay bryanson's salary in internet bucks, oh wait, they dont exist, just like bryanson...."
