NoDQ.com > WWE > Chris Jericho to have new moves and finisher? Posted by Bobby Spade on 11/14/2007 at 08:59 PM
The following is from Dave Meltzer:
The Chris Jericho WWE Magazine cover shot is legit and there is a major article inside talking with him. He puts over the idea of working with Cena, HHH, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Kennedy and MVP. He said he went to Lance Storm's wrestling school to work out some of his ring rust. He is also coming back with a new finishing move and will debut some new moves.
MVP & Mr. Kennedy def. The Hardys Kelly Kelly & Michelle McCool def. Melina & Layla ECW Champion CM Punk def. Jamie Noble (non-title match)
WICHITA, Kan. ECW Champion CM Punk added another win to his tally since obtaining the gold, but it didnt come without repercussion as John Morrison and The Miz attacked the Straightedge Superstar just before ECW on Sci Fi went off the air. (WATCH) More on this story
Champions kicked off the night, as well, as WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & Montel Vontavious Porter found themselves on opposing sides for the second consecutive night. On Raw just 24 hours earlier, The Hardys & Rey Mysterio earned a victory over MVP, Mr. Kennedy & Finlay. Matt did nothing to help his fellow champion when his brother covered MVP for the victory.
In the Land of the Extreme, however, MVP & Mr. Kennedy had better luck in tag team action against the Hardys. After Kennedy caused Jeff to take a nasty spill, MVP covered the unconscious Hardy for the win. To say the least, Matt looked none-too-happy with his regular tag partner. Kennedy then went for a chair to further demolish Jeff, but with all eyes watching, MVP suspiciously aided off the attacks to help his partner's brother.
Later in the evening, Matt Striker found himself face-to-face with the Big Red Machine. He explained that Big Daddy V is supposedly recovering from the flu and resting up for his Survivor Series contest, adding that his behemoth protegé will demolish Kane and his team on Sunday. Kane burst into the ring and taught Striker a lesson. He was left eating canvas, courtesy of a chokeslam by the beast. Did Daddy get the message Kane relayed through Striker? Will he be ready come Sunday for the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match? (WATCH)
Speaking of Survivor Series, we were given a sneak preview of the 10 Diva Tag Team Match when Kelly Kelly & Michelle McCool took on Layla & Melina. The blondes ran away with the victory, perhaps foreshadowing a positive change to Kellys recent hard luck since taking on more match participation.
Dont miss ECW Superstars this Sunday in Survivor Series at 8/7 CT only on pay-per-view and check out what develops on the next ECW on Sci Fi, Tuesday at 10/9 CT.
Batista & Undertaker def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch Jeff & Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio def. Mr. Kennedy & MVP & Finlay Beth Phoenix def. Maria Mickie James & Michelle McCool & Kelly Kelly def. Melina & Jillian Hall & Layla Jerry Lawler def. Santino Marella Triple H vs. Umaga (no contest)
TOPEKA, Kan. After getting moistened to the marrow with beer last Monday night at the hands of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Santino Marella appeared thirsty for revenge this week during the Survivor Series kickoff. After coming to the aid of his girlfriend Maria, who was pummeled by the Glamazon, Beth Phoenix, the hot-blooded grappler called Austin out onto the mat, perhaps knowing the Texas Rattlesnake was nowhere near the Kansas Expo Arena. When Austin didnt show, Marella channeled his venom at Raw announcer and Stone Cold friend Jim Ross. But Good Ol J.R.s announcing partner, Jerry The King Lawler, intervened in an attempt to tame the Italian Stallion. (WATCH)
Six Pack In a preview of next Sundays Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, a pride of WWE Superstars put the ring ropes to the test in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Jeff & Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio tackled the onslaught of Mr. Kennedy & MVP & Finlay. Rising above their competition, The Hardys & Mysterio came out victorious.
Women on the Verge In a tribute to beauty and brawn, GM Regal arranged for six Divas from all three WWE brands to clash Monday night in a Six Divas Tag Team Match. Mickie James, Michelle McCool & Kelly Kelly battled Melina, Jillian Hall & Layla. With an eye toward the 10-Diva Tag Team Match at Survivor Series, Mickie James pinned Layla for the three-count.
Training Day With direct orders from Mr. McMahon himself, William Regal and Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman helped train Hornswoggle for his Survivor Series match against The Great Khali. Coachman even went so far as to impersonate Khali himself. (WATCH)
Match Made in Hell At the invitation of General Manager William Regal, Batista & Undertaker matched up on Raw to tackle World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. The two men, determined to destroy one another at Survivor Series this Sunday during their Hell in a Cell Match, warily choked down their hatred and joined forces. (WATCH)
Punt Attempt A river of hostility continues to flow between Shawn Michaels and WWE Champion Randy Orton. During a heated exchange between the two during a face-off moderated by Mr. McMahon, Orton attacked HBK and prepared to punt his nemesis in the head. But Mr. McMahon stopped him, telling the Legend Killer to save the debilitating shot for their impending battle. (WATCH)
Timmm-bbberrr! Triple H and Umaga knocked into each other like a towering pair of redwoods in a tornado. With the ring surrounded by their respective teammates for the tri-branded Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, the two titans faced off in a Lumberjack Match. After suffering several cheap shots from the Samoan Bulldozers teammates, The Game climbed back into the ring to finally chop down his opponent. However, with such combustible elements around the ring at the same time, all hell was bound to break loose and it did. (WATCH)

FULL PAY-PER-VIEW RESULTS:
Genesis kicked off with the playing of the National Anthem to pay tribute to our brave in honor of Veteran's Day.
Footage was shown of a stretch limo arriving at the Pay-Per-View - one has to assume it contains Sting's mystery partner!
The "Shop Of Horrors" match between Abyss and the maniacal Black Reign was up first. It was an all-out hardcore brawl the likes of which we've never seen, with Reign's hellish "Shop" at the top of the entrance ramp. At one point, manager James Mitchell came out to help Reign, but Abyss shoved Reign's pet rat in the manager's shirt! Abyss won the bout with the Black Hole Slam, but after the match he made the mistake of unlocking the black box at ringside. Inside was a demonic monster just as bizarre looking as Black Reign - and he joined Reign in annihilating Abyss. Together, they locked Abyss in the black box and ran it off the top of the entrance ramp all the way down to the concrete floor!
In the back, Jeremy Borash attempted to find out who was in the limo - but security blocked him.
Backstage, Crystal interviewed Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin about their upcoming bout with Team 3D. The Machineguns had a very serious tone as they claimed they were fighting for the entire X Division.
The Motor City Machineguns took the fight immediately to Team 3D on the entrance ramp, using their X style to gain the advantage early on. After 3D threatened to walk out on the match, they regrouped and came back with power moves, beating down Alex Shelley. Chris Sabin eventually tagged in and joined Shelley in unleashing a potent high-flying attack on 3D. Later, as Shelley crashed and burned on the outside, Team 3D assaulted Sabin two-on-one. Team 3D set up a table in the corner of the ring, but Sabin leaped off it and sent Devon crashing into the wood! Shelley got his energy back and joined Sabin in double-teaming Brother Ray as The Motor City Machines got the pin and the win!
Backstage, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle and his tag team partner Kevin Nash nearly got into a brawl after some heated words about the main event.
Prior to the Knockout Women's Championship, Crystal interviewed reigning titleholder Gail Kim, who talked about how important the gold - and the women's division - means to her.
In an amazing four-way women's match, against overwhelming odds, Gail Kim retained the championship by beating ODB after Roxxi sprayed mist in ODB's face. After the match, Awesome Kong appeared and had a staredown with Gail as she awaits her shot at the title!
In the backstage area, Karen Angle seduced her way past the security to find out who was in the limo - but it turned out to be "Cowboy" James Storm and Eric Young, who were having a drinking contest!
Up next was the X Division Championship between "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal and "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt. The bout got heated between the two friends at times as they showcased their X Division arsenal. However, Lethal was able to beat Dutt to retain the championship after the "Lethal Combination" and a flying top rope elbow drop! After the bout, Lethal and Dutt reconciled their differences. Lethal invited ringside valet SoCal Val into the squared circle to celebrate the win, but it was cut short when Team 3D hit the arena! Brother Ray and Devon annihilated "Black Machismo" and "The Guru" and stole the X Division Championship! Brother Ray got on the microphone and claimed Sabin and Shelley cheated earlier and as a result the entire X Division will pay as they're taking the title hostage!
In the back, Crystal interviewed Kevin Nash about tonight's World Title main event. Nash said he had one mission - to walk out the champion. He also added that it wasn't Scott Hall who was Sting's partner. After the interview, Crystal found "Cowboy" James Storm and Eric Young continuing their drinking contest.
In the TNA World Tag Team Championship match, AJ Styles and Tomko beat the legendary Steiner Brothers to retain the gold after AJ and Tomko used a steel chair on Rick Steiner!
In the backstage area, a second stretch limo arrived! Crystal then interviewed Robert Roode about his upcoming bout against Samoa Joe.
Prior to the start of the "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe vs. Robert Roode bout, the fan supporting Roode was shown at ringside scowling at Ms. Brooks. Joe hit the ring and immediately went after Roode as the bout quickly developed into a brawl. Roode managed to gain the upper hand after a series of underhanded tactics. During the bout, Ms. Brooks and the fan got into it! Joe battled back and managed to hit the Muscle Buster on Roode to get the win!
Cameras cut to the back where Kurt Angle tried to get into the limo - but Sting appeared and fought off the Olympian!
Prior to the Fight For The Right finals, Crystal interviewed Christian Cage backstage - who told AJ Styles and Tomko to stay out of the ladder match.
It was truly an amazing ladder match, as Cage's eye even got busted open! With the contract for a title shot hanging above the ring, both superstars used two ladders to batter each other. At one point, AJ Styles and Tomko came out, but they argued at ringside while Kaz sent Cage spilling onto them on the outside. In what has to be considered a major upset, Kaz defeated "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage in his own kind of match to earn a shot at the TNA World Championship!
In the back, Eric Young beat James Storm in the drinking contest and claimed possession of Storm's beer drinking championship.
In the main event of the night, Sting's mystery partner was none other than the debuting Booker T! It was truly a monumental moment in TNA history as Booker came to the ring as the fans erupted. During the bout, Sting had Nash pinned after the deathdrop, but AJ Styles and Tomko hit the ring as Karen Angle distracted the referee. To counter Karen Angle, Sharmell came out and attacked Karen! Kevin Nash looked to have Sting beat as he went for the powerbomb, but Angle got in and nailed Nash with the world title! Angle hit the Olympic Slam on Sting to get the win and retain the championship! As the PPV went off the air, it was Kurt Angle victorious joined in the ring by Tomko, AJ Styles and Karen Angle as Christian Cage looked on at the top of the ramp!
NoDQ.com > TNA > Update: Junior Fatu may not be done with TNA Posted by Bobby Spade on 11/11/2007 at 06:09 PM
source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
- As it turns out, it is not 100% certain that we haven't seen the last of Junior Fatu in a TNA ring. Fatu, who was working without a contract, is saying that he missed the Impact tapings two weeks ago because he had a prior commitment. There seems be some miscommunication between both parties because if they knew in advance, they could have changed the tournament around. At the Impact taping, it was Jeff Jarrett's call to simply say that he was not in the building -- he didn't want them to say anything negative about Fatu on television. Also, there have been some problems regarding travel because he has residences in both Las Vegas, NV and Pensacola, FL. At times they get his trans from Pensacola but they then have to change it.
The Major Brothers def. Deuce & Domino, Jesse & Festus, Drew McIntyre & William Regal and Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore (10-Man Battle Royal) Victoria def. Michelle McCool Finlay def. Rey Mysterio ECW Champion CM Punk vs. Jamie Noble (No Contest) WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & United States Champion MVP def. The Major Brothers Undertaker def. The Great Khali (No Holds Barred Match)
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. As the partnership between Acting SmackDownGeneral Manager Vickie Guerrero and ECWs GM Armando Estrada continues, Friday night saw ECWs brightest star shine when its champion, CM Punk, visited SmackDown. As Punk traded greetings with Guerrero, they were interrupted by Jamie Noble. The cruiserweight offered a gift to Vickie, and the Straightedge Superstar took the opportunity to have some fun at Nobles expense.
However, the ECW Champions humor was not well received by Noble, who exclaimed he could defeat Punk in the ring. SmackDowns GM agreed that a match between Punk and Noble would be a delight to our fans, and the two made their way to the ring to compete. Noble held his own against the top of the ECW chain, until John Morrison and The Miz interfered, leading to a no contest.
Morrison and Miz are both hoping to become the next ECW Champion at Survivor Series, and each was hoping to make a strong statement by attacking CM Punk. The champion would not go down without a fight, though, and he found a way to incapacitate both the self-proclaimed Shaman of Sexy and The Miz. Noble, seeing an opening, delivered a devastating gut-buster to Punk, leaving the ECW Champion in the center of the ring.
Love-hate relationships Michelle McCool and her friend Chuck Palumbo were chatting with Torrie Wilson in the locker room when Victoria and Kenny Dykstra showed up and insulted the duo, insinuating there was more than friendship between Michelle and Palumbo. McCool headed to the ring seeking a measure of revenge on Victoria for the comments, but she was unsuccessful as the dangerous Diva picked up the win. The hotly contested rivalry between Victoria and Michelle McCool has run rampant in the womens division, with each able to claim a victory over the other. Will the two Divas continue to bring their battles to the ring and will their confrontations continue to rev-up Palumbo and Dykstra?
A warning from The Animal The World Heavyweight Champion Batista came to Bakersfield Friday night with a stern message for Mark Henry. Watch the WWE.com exclusive video of the champions comments regarding the Worlds Strongest Man and his involvement in The Animals beatdown during last weeks Tag Team Match.
Battle to the tag titles The Major Brothers made the most of a 10-Man Battle Royal on SmackDown, defeating four other teams en route to earning the No. 1 contender position, plus an opportunity at the WWE Tag Team Championship held by Matt Hardy & MVP. In their first taste of golden dreams, Brett & Brian hoped to take advantage of the building tension between the Ballin Superstar and Hardy. MVP had ideas of his own, however, and the Franchise Playa made certain he and Matt held on to their shared bling. Read the full story
Celtic carnage The intense rivalry between Finlay and Rey Mysterio saw another chapter written on Friday night when the two men squared off in a one-on-one contest. The high-flying Rey has had success in the ring recently against the Irishman, but on this night the Master of the 619 was grounded by the original smashmouth style of Finlay. After the win, the physically brutal Irishman refused to stop, punishing Rey with a vicious attack. Read the full story
No holds barred or broken When the two behemoth forces, Undertaker and The Great Khali, clashed in a No Holds Barred Match, our fans witnessed to two of WWEs largest Superstars going head-to-head in one of sports-entertainments most vicious contests. The Phenom and the Punjabi giant both looked to destroy each other in the match, but just as it appeared Khali literally had the upper hand, Undertaker unveiled a devastating maneuver that brought the towering colossus down and sealed the victory. NEWS FROM THURSDAYS iMPACT! BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV The final countdown to Sundays Genesis Pay-Per-View event By Bill Banks
There are several major news items to report from Thursdays iMPACT! broadcast on SpikeTV as TNA Wrestling prepares for Sundays Genesis Pay-Per-View event!
- Who is Stings tag team partner for the huge tag team main event this Sunday night? Its not Scott Hall, who told his former tag team partner Kevin Nash on Thursday night that he wasnt Stings choice. Nash and Kurt Angle were sure it was Hall, but Nash learned the truth after an in-ring reunion between the two controversial stars. Now, the mystery deepens as to who will team with Sting this Sunday night.
- Speaking of controversy, the Christian Cage vs. Kaz Fight For The Right tournament final was thrown out by Matt Morgan after interference by Tomko and AJ Styles, not to mention the fact that Cage used a ladder in the match. Morgran (perhaps speaking on authority from TNA management director Jim Cornette) announced that the tournament final rematch will take place this Sunday on Pay-Per-View as it will be Cage vs. Kaz in a Ladder Match!
- New matches have been added to Sundays Pay-Per-View event, with AJ Styles and Tomko defending the TNA World Tag Team Championship against The Steiner Brothers and Black Machismo Jay Lethal putting the X Division Championship on the line against The Guru Sonjay Dutt.
- Speaking of Styles/Tomko and The Steiner Brothers, AJ faced off against Scott Steiner in a takedown challenge on Thursdays broadcast. However, both Tomko and Rick Steiner got involved, leading to a brawl between both teams before Sundays title match.
- Also on the broadcast, Team 3D defeated the team of Lethal and Abyss following interference by Abyss opponent this Sunday, Black Reign. Following the bout, Team 3D assaulted Jay Lethal by beating him with belts in their attempts to further humiliate the X Division, but the Motor City Machineguns came to Lethals rescue.
- In six-man action, it was Sting, Samoa Joe and Eric Young defeating the team of TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, Cowboy James Storm and Robert Roode!
NoDQ.com > WWE > Details on the release of Chris Masters Posted by Bobby Spade on 11/08/2007 at 07:48 PM
As noted earlier, Chris Masters was let go by WWE today. Regarding his suspension last week, a person in the known within WWE is absolutely certain that it wasn't his second strike; more like his fourth. He has definitely been suspended on two occasions. He was also sent to rehab in the summer of 2006 due to a problem with painkillers. The belief at the time was that he had been suspended, but that wasn't the case because he only had to serve a 30-day suspension when the Signature Pharmacy news hit as that was his first recorded offence. Also, Masters will have to come up with a new ring name now that he's no longer employed by WWE; the 'Chris Masters' name is not his real name as it is trademarked by WWE.
NoDQ.com > WWE > Chris Masters released from WWE Posted by Bobby Spade on 11/08/2007 at 12:59 PM
WWE announced today that they have released Chris Masters. Masters was currently serving a 60 day suspension for his second Wellness Test failure. Of course, they wish him the best in all his future endeavors.
* Kane def. Mark Kenry (Disqualification) * Jamie Noble def. Nunzio * Layla def. Kelly Kelly (Disqualification) * Elijah Burke def. Shannon Moore * ECW Champion CM Punk def. John Morrison
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. Monsters are still on the loose in the Land of the Extreme as ECW on Sci Fi kicked off with two of them when Mark Henry faced Kane. Kane, who will be standing across the ring from Big Daddy V at Survivor Series in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, along with Henry fittingly took part in last weeks Monster Mash Battle Royal, managing to outlast Big Daddy V and The Great Khali as the final two competitors. When the Big Red Machine attempted to attack Henry from the top rope, the self-proclaimed Silverback caught him and virtually tossed him from the ring to earn the victory. Henry didnt necessarily get the better of Kane this time, though, as he was disqualified for bringing a chair into the squared circle. Still, he took pleasure in squashing the Big Red Machine onto the chair after the bell sounded.
Later Tuesday night, in a match created by The Miz to continue making Kelly Kelly's life a living hell, Layla dominated the blonde. Balls Mahoney rushed to his favorite Diva's side, aiding her just one day after Womens Champion Beth Phoenix made easy work of her, as well. Mahoney and Kelly were left on the canvas while the chick magnet refused to enter the ring for a confrontation and instead left with his loyal Diva. (WATCH)
In other Tuesday night action, Jamie Noble came to the Land of the Extreme and left with a win. Nunzio proved to be short of having what it takes to defeat the SmackDown Superstar, who presented our fans with a video he made before the match. Noble has been forced to face giants in Undertaker and The Great Khali, thanks to SmackDown Acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero. His video, however, allowed the public to see what he can do when he faces someone his own size. His Superman-like depiction in his bout with Rey Mysterio proved what he is allegedly capable of.
Fresh off of his Ghost Hunters experience, Elijah Burke earned a convincing win against Shannon Moore. The victory marks the second consecutive time he has defeated a SmackDown cruiserweight on ECW turf.
The night ended with the ECW Championship securely in CM Punks possession, but the Straightedge Superstar has more to worry about than ever before. The Miz crashed the main event title match between Punk and John Morrison, distracting the Tuesday Night Delight and showing the champion he wont be able to fend off challengers for his gold one at a time. Both the self-proclaimed chick magnet and the Shaman of Sexy wont rest until Punks waist is bare again, and each of them is the man to do it. (WATCH) More on this story
What else will develop in the Land of the Extreme on the Tuesday before Survivor Series? Find out on ECW on Sci Fi, Tuesday at 10/9 CT.
Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio def. Mr. Kennedy & Finlay
Cody Rhodes def. Trevor Murdoch
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan & Super Crazy def. Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin
DX def. WWE Champion Randy Orton & Umaga
The events on this weeks Monday Night Raw left many WWE Superstars seeing stars and not just because the show took place in Hollywood.
Tonights Raw was such a blockbuster that the Superstars of SmackDown made a rare appearance. The 17, 133 fans who packed into the sold out STAPLES Center witnessed an intense tag team match setting SmackDowns Rey Mysterio & Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy against Finlay & Mr. Kennedy in a precursor to the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match they will all be involved in on Nov. 18. Charging hard out of the gate, Mr. Kennedy brought the fight to Mysterio first. But once the bout began tilting back toward the high-flying duo, tension between Mr. Kennedy and Finlay began to mount. After a few anxious moments between the blond bruisers, the dangerous duo snapped back into the match.
But just when it seemed Mr. Kennedy & Finlays tenuous partnership had hit a stride, Mysterio elevated his game to new heights. The aerial amigo landed a 619 on Mr. Kennedy, kicking him back into the ring.
It wasnt the place to be. As Mr. Kennedy lie on the mat, Hardy climbed the ropes and dropped a Swanton Bomb on the Green Bay, Wis., native to finish him off for the three-count.
If this intense match was a sample of what will happen at Survivor Series when the team of Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio & Kane confronts the monstrous forces of Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Finlay & Big Daddy V, then the 21st annual event promises to be an epic showdown.
In other Raw action:
Repeat Performance
In last weeks Divas Halloween Battle Royal, Kelly Kelly outlasted several of other beauties to emerge with the win. Unfortunately, her victory celebration was short-lived. The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix, entered the ring and pummeled her. The stunning and gutsy Kelly Kelly, seen Tuesdays on ECW on Sci-Fi, challenged Phoenix this Monday, and once again suffered a thrashing at the hands of the Womens Champion, who won in under a minute.
Apple Jacked
Once again, the Caribbean Bad Apple proved lazy to the core. Rather than compete in his scheduled match against a local wrestler, Carlito informed our fans that he had arranged a replacement for himself in the form of Snitsky. After the yuck-mouthed ogre handily disposed of his opponent, Carlito congratulated the giant and went to raise his hand. But Snitsky wasnt having it. He turned on the laid-back Superstar and doled out a swift kick to Carlitos face, sending the chewed apple in his mouth flying all over the ring.
Love Hurts
Is Mickie James distracting Trevor Murdoch from gettin er done? Ever since the stunning Diva told Murdoch how much she appreciated his chivalry during a match two weeks ago, the country boy has shown that his head may not necessarily be in the ring. Murdochs World Tag Team Championship partner, Lance Cade, watched as up-and-coming Cody Rhodes fought the Southern-fried grappler to take a hard-earned victory. While Murdoch continues to insist that James is not a distraction and that the two are just friends, Cade appears unconvinced and perhaps with good reason.
U-S-A! A-O-K!
The familiar chants of Ho!, Si! and U-S-A! rang throughout the STAPLES Center as tag partners Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Super Crazy tried to whip the crowd into a cross-continental frenzy. The duo faced off against the self-proclaimed Worlds Greatest Tag Team of Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin. In a surprising twist, the high flyer from south of the border rolled up the athletic Benjamin for the three-count. When Haas went to charge Super Crazy, he thought better of it after running up against an imposing Duggan.
Back to the Future
It was only a matter of time. After weeks of taunting Stone Cold Steve Austin, Santino Marella finally felt the bite of the Texas Rattlesnake. Marellas comeuppance came after he once again carped on Austins performance in his movie The Condemned. Austin laid the Italian loudmouth out with a Stunner, but he wasnt finished there. DX: Getting Their Kicks
The animosity was palpable as Umaga & WWE Champion Randy Orton rambled into the ring to face off against DX, Triple H & Shawn Michaels. Like two runaway tractor trailers barreling head-on toward one another, Umaga and Triple H collided with frightening force. Meanwhile, Michaels put on an aerial display against the Legend Killer. As the saying goes, always put your best foot forward. However, a dazed and confused Orton probably didnt appreciate HBKs effort. Story |WATCH
* Festus def. Domino * Rey Mysterio def. Jamie Noble * Kane def. United States Champion MVP (Non-title) * Mick Foley def. Jonathan Coachman * Chuck Palumbo def. Kenny Dykstra * Mark Henry & The Great Khali vs. World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Undertaker (No Contest)
UNIONDALE, N.Y. After three consecutive weeks of facing the biggest Superstars on SmackDown in The Great Khali, Undertaker and World Heavyweight Champion Batista, Jamie Noble finally got to pick on someone closer to his own size Rey Mysterio. Actually, that was only made possible by Acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, who has tormented Noble by putting him in the ring with giants. This week, Noble thought Guerrero had taken mercy on him and he looked to get back on the winning track.
However, Mysterio had a plan all his own. With Reys rival, Finlay, observing things from ringside, the high-flying Master of the 619 defeated Noble. Next week, in a Cyber Sunday rematch, Mysterio will take flight once more when he faces the Irishman in what has become one of WWEs hottest rivalries. Watch Finlay challenge Mysterio... Pint-sized power
Last Monday on Raw, Jonathan Coachman was once again embarrassed at the hands of Hornswoggle, this time with Mick Foley as the special guest referee. Coach demanded a match in Foleys home of Long Island, and when Mr. McMahon was announced as a guest referee, Coachman thought he had the upper hand. To Coachs chagrin, Vincent Kennedy was not the McMahon in his match it was Hornswoggle. Displaying some of the hate that his dear old dad advised him to embrace on Raw, the leprechaun helped Mrs. Foleys baby boy defeat Coachman. Is this the side of Hornswoggle that the Chairman wants to see or is the little guy bucking the McMahon way in favor of his own? Watch Foley vs. Coachman... Gravy train
Festus has been a force in the tag team division since debuting with his partner Jesse, but on SmackDown he was in singles action against Domino. When the match began, the normally benign Festus transformed and became a Superstar possessed, defeating Domino as Jesse made sure Deuce didnt interfere. With the loss to the red-hot Biscuits n Gravy big man, the boys from the Other Side of the Tracks continued to falter without the gold around their waists. Back on the road again
After suffering his first SmackDown loss a few weeks ago, Chuck Palumbo returned to his winning ways when he defeated Kenny Dykstra. The revved-up Superstars rivalry with the ever-game Dykstra has yet to see the self-proclaimed future Hall of Famer create any speed bumps. But will Palumbo continue to ride the open road to victory on SmackDown? Worlds collide
MVPs on-again, off-again relationship with his fellow WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy appeared off again when Matt informed him that he would face longtime nemesis Kane on SmackDown. The Big Red Monster made sure that the Franchise Playa wouldnt find a way to escape his wrath, as he did at Cyber Sunday, by overpowering and defeating the United States Champion in non-title action. Kane had little time to savor his victory as he was attacked by Big Daddy V, who left the Big Red Monster down in the center of the ring. Read the full story Of gods and Gods
World Heavyweight Champion Batista told our fans his victory over Undertaker at Cyber Sunday left the two titans even in their epic series of matches. The Animal then offered The Phenom another match at Survivor Series, and Undertaker agreed. But The Deadman added a stipulation his rematch with Batista would be Hell in a Cell. Later that night, Batista & Undertaker teamed up to take on the super-sized tandem of The Great Khali & Mark Henry in a match that shocked our fans in Long Island. Read the full story
