The events on this week’s Monday Night Raw left many WWE Superstars seeing stars – and not just because the show took place in Hollywood.

Tonight’s Raw was such a blockbuster that the Superstars of SmackDown made a rare appearance. The 17, 133 fans who packed into the sold out STAPLES Center witnessed an intense tag team match setting SmackDown’s Rey Mysterio & Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy against Finlay & Mr. Kennedy in a precursor to the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match they will all be involved in on Nov. 18. Charging hard out of the gate, Mr. Kennedy brought the fight to Mysterio first. But once the bout began tilting back toward the high-flying duo, tension between Mr. Kennedy and Finlay began to mount. After a few anxious moments between the blond bruisers, the dangerous duo snapped back into the match.

But just when it seemed Mr. Kennedy & Finlay’s tenuous partnership had hit a stride, Mysterio elevated his game to new heights. The aerial amigo landed a 619 on Mr. Kennedy, kicking him back into the ring.

It wasn’t the place to be. As Mr. Kennedy lie on the mat, Hardy climbed the ropes and dropped a Swanton Bomb on the Green Bay, Wis., native to finish him off for the three-count.

If this intense match was a sample of what will happen at Survivor Series when the team of Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio & Kane confronts the monstrous forces of Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Finlay & Big Daddy V, then the 21st annual event promises to be an epic showdown.

    In other Raw action:

    Repeat Performance

In last week’s Divas Halloween Battle Royal, Kelly Kelly outlasted several of other beauties to emerge with the win. Unfortunately, her victory celebration was short-lived. The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix, entered the ring and pummeled her. The stunning – and gutsy – Kelly Kelly, seen Tuesdays on ECW on Sci-Fi, challenged Phoenix this Monday, and once again suffered a thrashing at the hands of the Women’s Champion, who won in under a minute.

    Apple Jacked

Once again, the Caribbean Bad Apple proved lazy to the core. Rather than compete in his scheduled match against a local wrestler, Carlito informed our fans that he had arranged a replacement for himself in the form of Snitsky. After the yuck-mouthed ogre handily disposed of his opponent, Carlito congratulated the giant and went to raise his hand. But Snitsky wasn’t having it. He turned on the laid-back Superstar and doled out a swift kick to Carlito’s face, sending the chewed apple in his mouth flying all over the ring.

    Love Hurts

Is Mickie James distracting Trevor Murdoch from “gettin’ er done”? Ever since the stunning Diva told Murdoch how much she appreciated his chivalry during a match two weeks ago, the country boy has shown that his head may not necessarily be in the ring. Murdoch’s World Tag Team Championship partner, Lance Cade, watched as up-and-coming Cody Rhodes fought the Southern-fried grappler to take a hard-earned victory. While Murdoch continues to insist that James is not a distraction and that the two are “just friends,” Cade appears unconvinced  … and perhaps with good reason.

    U-S-A! A-O-K!

The familiar chants of Ho!, Si! and U-S-A! rang throughout the STAPLES Center as tag partners Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Super Crazy tried to whip the crowd into a cross-continental frenzy. The duo faced off against the self-proclaimed World’s Greatest Tag Team of Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin. In a surprising twist, the high flyer from south of the border rolled up the athletic Benjamin for the three-count. When Haas went to charge Super Crazy, he thought better of it after running up against an imposing Duggan.

    Back to the Future

It was only a matter of time. After weeks of taunting “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Santino Marella finally felt the bite of the Texas Rattlesnake. Marella’s comeuppance came after he once again carped on Austin’s performance in his movie The Condemned. Austin laid the Italian loudmouth out with a Stunner, but he wasn’t finished there. Story | WATCH

    DX: Getting Their Kicks

The animosity was palpable as Umaga & WWE Champion Randy Orton rambled into the ring to face off against DX, Triple H & Shawn Michaels. Like two runaway tractor trailers barreling head-on toward one another, Umaga and Triple H collided with frightening force. Meanwhile, Michaels put on an aerial display against the Legend Killer. As the saying goes, always put your best foot forward. However, a dazed and confused Orton probably didn’t appreciate HBK’s effort. Story |WATCH

        * Mick Foley def. Jonathan Coachman
        * Chuck Palumbo def. Kenny Dykstra
        * Mark Henry & The Great Khali vs. World Heavyweight Champion   Batista & Undertaker (No Contest)

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – After three consecutive weeks of facing the biggest Superstars on SmackDown in The Great Khali, Undertaker and World Heavyweight Champion Batista, Jamie Noble finally got to pick on someone closer to his own size – Rey Mysterio. Actually, that was only made possible by Acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, who has “tormented” Noble by putting him in the ring with giants. This week, Noble thought Guerrero had taken mercy on him and he looked to get back on the winning track.

However, Mysterio had a plan all his own. With Rey’s rival, Finlay, observing things from ringside, the high-flying Master of the 619 defeated Noble. Next week, in a Cyber Sunday rematch, Mysterio will take flight once more when he faces the Irishman in what has become one of WWE’s hottest rivalries. Watch Finlay challenge Mysterio...
    Pint-sized power

Last Monday on Raw, Jonathan Coachman was once again embarrassed at the hands of Hornswoggle, this time with Mick Foley as the special guest referee. Coach demanded a match in Foley’s home of Long Island, and when “Mr. McMahon” was announced as a guest referee, Coachman thought he had the upper hand. To Coach’s chagrin, Vincent Kennedy was not the McMahon in his match – it was Hornswoggle. Displaying some of the “hate” that his dear old dad advised him to embrace on Raw, the leprechaun helped Mrs. Foley’s baby boy defeat Coachman. Is this the side of Hornswoggle that the Chairman wants to see or is the little guy bucking the McMahon way in favor of his own? Watch Foley vs. Coachman...
    Gravy train

Festus has been a force in the tag team division since debuting with his partner Jesse, but on SmackDown he was in singles action against Domino. When the match began, the normally benign Festus transformed and became a Superstar possessed, defeating Domino as Jesse made sure Deuce didn’t interfere. With the loss to the red-hot “Biscuits ‘n’ Gravy” big man, the boys from the Other Side of the Tracks continued to falter without the gold around their waists.
    Back on the road again

After suffering his first SmackDown loss a few weeks ago, Chuck Palumbo returned to his winning ways when he defeated Kenny Dykstra. The revved-up Superstar’s rivalry with the ever-game Dykstra has yet to see the self-proclaimed future Hall of Famer create any speed bumps. But will Palumbo continue to ride the open road to victory on SmackDown?
    Worlds collide

MVP’s on-again, off-again relationship with his fellow WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy appeared off again when Matt informed him that he would face longtime nemesis Kane on SmackDown. The Big Red Monster made sure that the Franchise Playa wouldn’t find a way to escape his wrath, as he did at Cyber Sunday, by overpowering and defeating the United States Champion in non-title action. Kane had little time to savor his victory as he was attacked by Big Daddy V, who left the Big Red Monster down in the center of the ring. Read the full story…
    Of gods and “Gods”

World Heavyweight Champion Batista told our fans his victory over Undertaker at Cyber Sunday left the two titans even in their epic series of matches. The Animal then offered The Phenom another match at Survivor Series, and Undertaker agreed. But The Deadman added a stipulation – his rematch with Batista would be Hell in a Cell. Later that night, Batista & Undertaker teamed up to take on the super-sized tandem of The Great Khali & Mark Henry in a match that shocked our fans in Long Island. Read the full story…

    FABULOUS MOOLAH PASSES AWAY

    Fabulous Moolah passes away

    Written: November 3, 2007

WWE is saddened by the passing of Lillian Ellison, who was known to sports-entertainment fans as Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah. She passed away last night in Columbia, S.C.

In the world of women’s wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling.

Is Nash right? What will happen this Thursday night when Hall comes to TNA? Tune in and find out!

On Thursday’s broadcast, Cage beat “Wildcat” Chris Harris to advance to the finals, while Kaz defeated “Cowboy” James Storm.

    - Team 3D had the tables turned on them by the X Division on Thursday night, as Brother Ray and Devon had a war of words with Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, known as The Motor City Machineguns. Team 3D went to annihilate them once again with their tables – but the rest of the X Division stars had taken them! The entire X Division ganged up on Team 3D in the process and bullied them for once!

    A scary affair
    By Andrew Rote
October 30, 2007LONG ISLAND, N.Y. – In a battle to become No. 1 Contender and face ECW Champion CM Punk for the gold next week, John Morrison emerged victorious against The Miz.

Next week’s contest will serve as an opportunity for Morrison and perhaps as a chance at revenge for CM Punk, who was attacked by Morrison after Punk’s match later in the night. More on this story…

With it being the eve of Halloween, what better way for ECW on Sci Fi to celebrate the holiday than with ECW’s Monster Mash Battle Royal? Kane guaranteed victory and Big Daddy V was touted by his mentor Matt Striker as a dominating force that would roll to a win. Much of the focus was on these two. The Big Red Machine and Striker’s behemoth protégé first gained a mutual disliking for each other in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match just weeks earlier. Then last week, they met in a one-on-one contest, which ended abruptly when Mark Henry and The Great Khali interfered.

Henry was at his best for ECW’s Monster Mash Battle Royal, as he reigned supreme over Kane, Daddy and The Great Khali. In the closing moments, he used his massive strength to catch the Big Red Machine and almost hurl him over the top rope. Has the answer to stopping Big Daddy V finally been discovered: Bring in another monster? (WATCH)

The monstrous match wasn’t the only scary part of Halloween Eve, ECW style. Nunzio took a few children trick-or-treating in the locker room area, only to be spooked by Boogeyman who was handing out worms. He later faced Tommy Dreamer in a Trick-or-Treat Extreme Rules Match with Halloween party accessories for weapons at ringside. Despite dressing to the nines for All Hallow’s Eve as Dracula, Nunzio fell to Dreamer, who was dressed as a vaguely familiar ECW personality in a trench coat. (WATCH)

In other action, Elijah Burke earned a solid win against Jimmy Wang Yang to kick off ECW on Sci Fi. Along with ECW’s Monster Mash Battle Royal, this battle shows more evidence of the business deal between ECW General Manager Armando Estrada and SmackDown Acting GM Vickie Guerrero.

Don’t miss ECW on Sci Fi next week as John Morrison advances in his quest for the ECW Championship, Tuesday at 10/9 CT. Also, be sure to catch ECW in its entirety every week on WWE.com, available from Wednesday to the following Monday afternoon.

    Halloween Horror
    By Greg Adkins
October 29, 2007PHILADELPHIA – The Glamazon kicked off Halloween early this year. Two nights before the chilling celebration, Beth Phoenix continued to haunt the WWE Divas roster like a demon that refuses to be exorcised.

After watching Kelly Kelly fend off other costume-clad beauties from ECW, SmackDown and Raw to win the Divas Halloween Battle Royal, Phoenix howled into the Wachovia Center to greet her. Dressed in a gangster outfit, Kelly Kelly looked like a deer in the klieg lights when she saw Phoenix approach. Appropriate since witnessing the senseless carnage that ensued was almost like watching Bambi get flattened by a steamroller.

Kelly tried to get away, but Jillian and Melina threw her back into the ring into the waiting arms of the Glamazon. The sweet, innocent ECW Diva withered under the overwhelming size and strength advantage of the reigning Women’s Champion, who effortlessly hoisted her latest victim skyward and slammed her to the mat with a cringe-worthy thud.

With former Women’s Champion Candice Michelle out for 6 to 8 weeks due to a cracked clavicle suffered during a match against Phoenix last Monday night, is there any Diva out there who stands a ghost of a chance against Beth Phoenix?

    In other action on Raw:

    Rhodes Warrior
Persistence pays. Just ask Cody Rhodes. Last week, after he pinned Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, the other half of the Self-Proclaimed World’s Greatest Tag Team, darted into the ring to exact a measure of revenge. But none of the three could have anticipated what happened next: Rhodes’ rival, Hardcore Holly, came to his aid.

This week, Rhodes & Holly teamed up against Benjamin & Haas in a Tag Team Match. While Holly obviously feels Rhodes has a lot more to prove, the Hardcore veteran’s guarded façade has begun to show fissures. His grudging respect showed on Monday night as Rhodes earned the team the victory.

    Scottish Invasion
The Highlanders are a couple of Scots always eager to get their kilts wrinkled. The pair proved it again this week when Rory and Robbie stormed the ring after a singles match between rivals Paul London and Lance Cade. After World Tag Team Champion Cade pinned London, the cousins McAllister proceeded to lay out both London & Kendrick. The unprovoked incident is only the latest stunt in the Highlanders’ quest to gain respect and prove they’re deserving of a chance at the title.

    Mr. Smith Goes... Off
Continuing to make a name for himself, DH Smith proved Monday night that while he may be a rookie, he’s no stranger to the ways of the ring.

Smith proved his mettle as he and Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy teamed up to tackle the challenge of Carlito & Mr. Kennedy. While Carlito and Mr. Kennedy orchestrated a vicious assault on Smith's left leg, the Canadian held his own. Eventually, Smith handed the reins to Hardy, who was able to capitalize on his worn down opponents and nail Carlito with a Swanton Bomb for the win.

    Stone Cold Imposter
Santino Marella continues to press his luck. This week, the former Intercontinental Champion slapped on a bald cap and imitated Stone Cold, declaring that it should have been Marella who starred in The Condemned. To top off his dismal performance, Marella butchered some of Stone Cold's trademark slogans and choked down a cold beer. But the laugh turned out to be on Santino as Maria told him some news about The Texas Rattlesnake.  Story | WATCH

    Small Setback
Jonathan Coachman just can’t catch a break — not that he deserves one. Mr. McMahon, a longtime advocate of “tough love,” had a heart-to-heart talk with his illegitimate son, Hornswoggle, and told him he had to learn to hate to gain respect. Hornswoggle took that advice into his match with Coachman, but he also received a few assists from surprise special guest referee Mick Foley.  Story | WATCH

    Darkest before the Shawn
After Triple H turned away the Samoan Bulldozer the night before in a Street Fight Match at Cyber Sunday, Mr. McMahon was desperate to toss more ammunition in the path of The Game. With that in mind, the Chairman arranged a Handicap Match pitting Triple H against both Umaga & WWE Champion Randy Orton. But the Chairman didn’t expect The Cerebral Assassin to get help from a longtime friend.  Story | WATCH

    Interview With: The Sandman
    Interview With: The Sandman
    Interview By:
    Andy Steven of www.PWMania.com
    Date: October 29, 2007

Recently released World Wrestling Entertainment superstar, The Sandman, has spoken out for the first time since his WWE release with www.PWMania.com. He spoke on his release from WWE and gave the real reason to his release, the original plan for him in WWE/ECW. The different atmosphere’s backstage in RAW, SmackDown & ECW, the possibility of a TNA return and much more. The complete interview is below:

Andy Steven: Thanks for taking this time out once again to take part in this interview for www.PWMania.com. Online reports suggest that you were released after an incident during WWE's South Africa tour with Ricky Steamboat and you later asked for your release, can you explain the situation a little more and your thoughts on it?

The Sandman: Well actually the reason I am no longer with WWE is because I wanted to be able to spend more time with my family. I got tired of the road schedule.

Andy Steven: You were with WWE for over a year and had a huge involvement in the ECW return, what were WWE's original plans for ECW and you?

The Sandman: Well I am not sure what Vince McMahon’s plans for ECW were but the plans for me were to come in kick ass then leave that’s why you never saw me in full matches and when you did they were basically beatdowns.

Andy Steven: Did you enjoy your time working with WWE?

The Sandman: Yes it was great got to see allot of my old friends.

Andy Steven: Were there any differences of the atmosphere backstage between the live RAW shows and the ECW/SmackDown tapings?

The Sandman: Some what not too much though. ECW was different because we had a bunch of the originals so it was like home. When I entered RAW it was allot different.

Andy Steven: Have you been contacted by TNA or if asked to return to TNA would you consider it?

The Sandman: I would go over to TNA if offered the right amount of money.

Andy Steven: Who did you most enjoying working with during your time in WWE?

The Sandman: There was not really a certain person.

Andy Steven: Are you still in contact with anyone in WWE, if so who?

The Sandman: I am still in contact with some of the people but I barely use my phone so I barely talk to them.

Andy Steven: Who's idea was it to trade you to RAW, when did you find out about it and did you enjoy it more than ECW on Sci Fi and why?

The Sandman: It was the creative team’s idea to trade me. I found out about it last minute before the trade happened. I enjoyed ECW more then RAW because my friends were on ECW

Andy Steven: Do you have any plans for the near future?

The Sandman: Basically I am going to spend allot of time with my family. I will still take bookings but want time for my family. If anybody wants to book me they can do so by contacting Tod Gordon at www.myspace.com/pwuczar.

Andy Steven: I would like to thank you very much once again for taking this time to take part in this interview for www.PWMania.com, I wish you the best of luck in the future, do you have any messages to say to your fans?

The Sandman: I would like to thank you all for your support. Make sure to checkout the new official Sandman website at www.hardcoreiconsandman.com it just launched on the 25th.
