Interview With: The Sandman Interview By: Andy Steven of www.PWMania.com Date: October 29, 2007
Recently released World Wrestling Entertainment superstar, The Sandman, has spoken out for the first time since his WWE release with www.PWMania.com. He spoke on his release from WWE and gave the real reason to his release, the original plan for him in WWE/ECW. The different atmospheres backstage in RAW, SmackDown & ECW, the possibility of a TNA return and much more. The complete interview is below:
Andy Steven: Thanks for taking this time out once again to take part in this interview for www.PWMania.com. Online reports suggest that you were released after an incident during WWE's South Africa tour with Ricky Steamboat and you later asked for your release, can you explain the situation a little more and your thoughts on it?
The Sandman: Well actually the reason I am no longer with WWE is because I wanted to be able to spend more time with my family. I got tired of the road schedule.
Andy Steven: You were with WWE for over a year and had a huge involvement in the ECW return, what were WWE's original plans for ECW and you?
The Sandman: Well I am not sure what Vince McMahons plans for ECW were but the plans for me were to come in kick ass then leave thats why you never saw me in full matches and when you did they were basically beatdowns.
Andy Steven: Did you enjoy your time working with WWE?
The Sandman: Yes it was great got to see allot of my old friends.
Andy Steven: Were there any differences of the atmosphere backstage between the live RAW shows and the ECW/SmackDown tapings?
The Sandman: Some what not too much though. ECW was different because we had a bunch of the originals so it was like home. When I entered RAW it was allot different.
Andy Steven: Have you been contacted by TNA or if asked to return to TNA would you consider it?
The Sandman: I would go over to TNA if offered the right amount of money.
Andy Steven: Who did you most enjoying working with during your time in WWE?
The Sandman: There was not really a certain person.
Andy Steven: Are you still in contact with anyone in WWE, if so who?
The Sandman: I am still in contact with some of the people but I barely use my phone so I barely talk to them.
Andy Steven: Who's idea was it to trade you to RAW, when did you find out about it and did you enjoy it more than ECW on Sci Fi and why?
The Sandman: It was the creative teams idea to trade me. I found out about it last minute before the trade happened. I enjoyed ECW more then RAW because my friends were on ECW
Andy Steven: Do you have any plans for the near future?
The Sandman: Basically I am going to spend allot of time with my family. I will still take bookings but want time for my family. If anybody wants to book me they can do so by contacting Tod Gordon at www.myspace.com/pwuczar.
Andy Steven: I would like to thank you very much once again for taking this time to take part in this interview for www.PWMania.com, I wish you the best of luck in the future, do you have any messages to say to your fans?
The Sandman: I would like to thank you all for your support. Make sure to checkout the new official Sandman website at www.hardcoreiconsandman.com it just launched on the 25th.

Results: Cyber Sunday is one click away By Lennie DiFino October 26, 2007KANSAS CITY, Mo. SmackDowns Kane and Mark Henry faced off last Friday, in Henrys first action since his loss to Undertaker four weeks ago. The Big Red Monster, meanwhile, was coming off his second appearance on ECW on Sci Fi, when the Worlds Strongest Man and The Great Khali interrupted his match with Big Daddy V. Kane defeated the self-proclaimed Silverback with a chokeslam, and the fiery Superstar hopes to carry that momentum when he again invades the Land of the Extreme this Tuesday night. The four behemoths are set to meet in a Monster Mash Battle Royal with each hoping to be named the true monster of sports-entertainment on the eve of Halloween. Henry speaks on the Monster Mash in a WWE Mobile on AT&T Exclusive...
Cruiser-baited After facing The Great Khali and Undertaker in consecutive weeks, cruiserweight Jamie Noble hoped that his sweet-talking ways would soften Acting General Manager Vickie Guerreros decision-making. Nobles attempts appeared to be working, until Guerrero informed him he had a match with the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista. The distraught Noble reluctantly made his way to the ring to face the champion, and The Animal wasted little time in decimating his overmatched opponent. Delivering a vicious Batista Bomb to Noble for the victory, the World Heavyweight Champion now heads toward his Cyber Sunday showdown with Undertaker. Watch Batista dominate Noble...
Changing faces Jesse & Festus continued their remarkable streak since debuting on SmackDown, defeating the team of Joe Hennig & Steve Fender. Once again, when the bell sounded to begin the match, Festus transformed from the reserved Superstar our fans are accustomed to seeing, into a monstrously intense in-ring competitor. Picking up another impressive win, the Biscuits n Gravy tandem keeps their undefeated streak alive on SmackDown.
Trash-talking The 2007 WWE Diva Search Finalists Brooke and Eve made a very special appearance on SmackDown, and each took the opportunity to tell our fans why they shouldnt vote for the other. The 2007 Diva Search winner will be announced Monday on Raw. More on the WWE 2007 Diva Search...
Triple-threatened As part of the new working partnership between SmackDowns Acting GM Vickie Guerrero and ECWs Armando Estrada, the three ECW Superstars who you can vote to be CM Punks opponent at Cyber Sunday were in a Triple Threat Match on SmackDown. Big Daddy V, John Morrison and The Miz all hope to be part of the ECW Championship Match this Sunday, and Friday night was their last chance to campaign for your votes. The Dominating Force in WWE defeated Morrison and Miz to claim the victory, but will that translate into a golden opportunity for Big Daddy V? Read the full story
All for one, one for all Partnered up for the very first time, Cyber Sunday opponents Rey Mysterio & Finlay seemed to momentarily put aside their differences when they faced the WWE Tag Team Champions (and Cyber Sunday opponents) Matt Hardy & MVP. But as Mysterio was about to pick up the victory, the Irishman showed his true intentions and double-crossed the Master of the 619, allowing the Ballin Superstar to take full advantage of the opening. Wrestling God goes six feet under Last week, JBL found himself the recipient of a spear from World Heavyweight Champion Batista after calling The Animal a coward. This week, the SmackDown commentator looked to interview The Phenom about the Batista-Undertaker showdown at Cyber Sunday, a match in which you choose JBL, Mick Foley or Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special guest referee. Instead, the former champion JBL berated The Deadman, reminding him of their rivalry from JBLs in-ring days. Undertaker chokeslammed the self-proclaimed Wrestling God, but then his Cyber Sunday opponent Batista came out to deliver a message of his own to Undertaker. Read the full story

There are several major news items to report from Thursdays iMPACT! broadcast on SpikeTV, including Kurt Angle defeating amidst controversy to regain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship!
- During the World Title match, Kevin Nash came to ringside and nearly got into a fight with Sting, but Nash technically never touched the icon as Sting was the aggressor. After the bout, Nash applauded the new champion and offered a handshake, but Angle flipped off Nash and exited the arena!
- Following a commercial break (and an argument between the TNA referees over the decision), TNA management director Jim Cornette made his way to the ring and announced he would review the decision, a move announcer Mike Tenay chastised Cornette for.
- Later, with an enraged Kevin Nash demanding revenge against Angle, Cornette announced that the Olympic gold medalist was indeed the new champion since Nash never touched Sting but he also dropped a bombshell by announcing the main event of Genesis would be Angle teaming with Nash to take on Sting and a partner of his choice! Whoever scores the pinfall in the bout will be the TNA World Heavyweight Champion!

Results:Tuesday night smash By Andrew Rote October 23, 2007
KANSAS CITY, Mo. The Big Red Machine made his second straight ECW on Sci Fi appearance Tuesday night when he took on one of the participants in the race for an ECW Title opportunity against CM Punk Big Daddy V.
The two monsters met in the ring last week when Kane and Punk faced Daddy, The Miz & John Morrison in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match. Kane and Big Daddy Vs altercation certainly foreshadowed a contest of colossal proportions for this week; however, no one was able to see the climax of their clash. During the match, Mark Henry marched out to the squared circle in an attempt to shake the Land of the Extreme even more than his fellow fiery SmackDown Superstar has. The crowd of three in the ring quickly became a party of four when The Great Khali joined the other giants. Kane was the man left standing, but this was only the beginning. (WATCH)
Later in the evening, The Great Khali, who was more furious than ever, was seen backstage raving to Ranjin Singh about the events. Big Daddy V and his mentor Matt Striker were also caught away from the ring after the exchange. The four beasts will meet on the next ECW on Sci Fi in ECWs Monster Mash Battle Royal. Dont miss what is sure to be one of the most frighteningly immense matches in sports-entertainment history as we find out which monster reigns supreme.
Tuesday night kicked off with The Miz, ever-confident, delivering his thoughts on Kelly Kellys actions last week. He reminded her that he owns her contract and then promised to make her life a living hell for asking out Balls Mahoney. John Morrison joined them in the ring, questioning why the blonde tied herself to The Miz in the first place. After suggesting that she bow down to the Shaman of Sexy instead, Kelly slapped the former ECW Champion and left the ring as Mahoney ran in to defend the love of his life.
By the time the brawl was over, CM Punk had joined as well, leading to a main event tag team match being scheduled. Thanks to The Miz and Morrison not exactly being the best of friends, their team fell victim to CM Punk & Balls Mahoney. (WATCH) More on this story...
In other action, Elijah Burke redeemed himself for last weeks loss to Jesse & Festus when he defeated Nunzio, his partner from that match.
Will either The Miz or Morrison be voted by our fans to take on CM Punk at Cyber Sunday? Or will Big Daddy V steal the show and leave them both watching the pay-per-view in misery from the couch? Find out Sunday at 8/7 CT only on pay-per-view and dont miss ECWs Monster Mash Battle Royal Tuesday on ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT. Also, be sure to catch ECW in its entirety every week on WWE.com, available from Wednesday to the following Monday afternoon.

Results:Bulldogs boy bites Carlito in Raw debut By Corey Clayton October 22, 2007
OMAHA, Neb. Carlito found out once again that the son of the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, has bite.
DH Smith did his father proud in his Raw debut. He defeated Carlito with a thunderous running powerslam shades of his fathers famed finisher. Watch the video...
Smith displayed his European-style arsenal of powerful maneuvers on worldwide television in a battle of second-generation Superstars. Last week, he raised some eyebrows when he defeated Carlito in the United Kingdom in a match seen exclusively on WWE.com.
After his victory, DH (named so to honor his family) celebrated with our fans as Rule, Britannia poured from arena speakers.
The blue-chipper has set his sights high and has put the Raw locker room on notice. Somewhere in the heavens, Davey Boy and DHs grandfather, Stu Hart, are smiling.
In other Raw action from Omaha: Mixed-mania
In a battle of six current and former champions, Paul London & Brian Kendrick teamed with Mickie James to defeat the trio of the World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch and Melina.
As the fast-paced battle broke down into a six-way scrum, Mickie tackled Melina and sent the paparazzi princess to the floor. But in an odd occurrence, Cade accidentally clotheslined Murdoch as the redneck shoved Mickie out of the way. One shooting-star press by London led to a pinfall on Murdoch.
As London & Kendrick celebrated, a puzzled Mickie looked back on a fallen Murdoch, who appeared to see little comfort in the loss. R-E-S-P-E-C-T?
Shelton Benjamin told Cody Rhodes it was his lucky night because he would get beaten by the Self-Proclaimed Worlds Greatest Tag Team member instead of Hardcore Holly. In the end, Rhodes was lucky but not because of Benjamin & Charlie Haas.
After Rhodes caught Benjamin with a rollup for the pinfall, he and Haas went on the attack. But suddenly, Hardcore Holly rushed to the ring and came to young Rhodes aid. Holly lifted Rhodes off the mat and gave him a nod has the son of the American Dream finally won the hardcore veterans respect? Cold comfort
With the beautiful Maria by his side, Santino Marella continued to slam Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Condemned DVD and whined about not being included in the commemorative 500th issue of WWE Magazine.
But poor Santino cant seem to get any respect anywhere. He was interrupted by yet another cryptic computer code video the same one that has surfaced on WWE television for weeks and then by Ron Simmons. Watch the video...
In his ensuing match with the Superstar of few words, the former Intercontinental Champion kicked a charging Simmons in the groin, which earned a disqualification from the referee despite Santinos insistence that it was unintentional. Lena says goodbye
As the 2007 Diva Search came down to two finalists, Lena was eliminated. The winner of the competition will be announced live next week on Raw in Philadelphia. Will Brooke or Eve be the next WWE Diva? Your vote decides it. Vote now! Glamazon sweep
In the first-ever 2-out-of-3 Falls Womens Championship Match on Raw, the powerful Beth Phoenix won two straight falls over the former champion Candice Michelle. But in a scary moment, Candice was knocked out after an awkward fall from the top turnbuckle. The former Womens Champion was taken from the ring on a stretcher. With Mr. McMahon overseas, his Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman begged General Manager William Regal to sanction a match for the mischievous leprechaun Hornswoggle. While Regal assumed it was to be Coachman vs. McMahons bastard son, the Coach had other, bigger ideas for the little guy Umaga.
Fortunately for Hornswoggle, he was a little more resourceful than Coachman expected. And Triple H was in the building to give Umaga a taste of the brutality that awaits him at Cyber Sunday. Story... | Watch Seeking Net gains
Just six days before Cyber Sunday, the four men involved in the voting for the WWE Championship match faced off as WWE Champion Randy Orton teamed with potential challenger Mr. Kennedy against potential opponents Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy and Shawn Michaels.
The three challengers pleaded their case to be selected as Ortons challenger, but the Legend Killer got tuned by Sweet Chin Music for the third straight week in the post-match melee. Story... | Watch
