News on how the RAW crew is doing in Belfast
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 04/20/2010 at 12:30 PM

    Credit: Wrestling Globe Newsletter

As of Tuesday morning, WWE RAW crew remains stranded in Belfast, Northern Ireland. If airspace is open, WWE is planning to charter a flight to get them home on Wednesday.

It's being reported that John Cena was seen in the lobby bar wearing a "Official Belfast Drinking Team Captain" t-shirt.

WWE agent Mike Rotunda was said to be complaining about wrestlers posting Twitter messages on their phones. WWE didn't want wrestlers to inform fans that they (the wrestlers) weren't in New Jersey for RAW.

While several wrestlers and crew were engaging in various activities to pass the time, others simply locked themselves away in their hotel rooms.

TNA Knockout geblesseerd in tryout match

TNA Knockout Daffney injured at Impact taping

TNA Knockout Daffney was injured in a tryout match prior to the start of tonight’s Impact taping from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Daffney was working with independent worker Betsy Ruth (who also works as Miss Betsy), a student of the Team 3D Wrestling Academy.

The injury occurred when Betsy hit a bonsai drop off the ropes, crushing Daffney. Daffney laid motionless for several minutes as an ambulance was called and a stretcher was brought out. The bottom ring rope was removed to get her out.

Upon loading her on the stretcher, Daffney was moving her hands. Ring announcer Dave Penzer addressed the crowd, saying she is going to be OK but everything was done for precautionary purposes. Daffney was transported to a near-by hospital.

Impact opens with footage from Lockdown last night. The match between Angle and Anderson, featuring Angle's amazing moonsault, Pope vs. AJ Styles, and the Lethal Lockdown match between Team Hogan and Team Flair are highlighted. The winners of those matches can be found in the TNA Lockdown results located on the front page of WNW.

-We get our usual video opening to kick off the show proper.

-The pyro hits and Tenay and Taz welcome us to the show. Tenay promises us all of the fallout from TNA Lockdown last night, including what happened between AJ and Pope last night.

-Speaking of Styles, his music hits and he's on his way to the ring. Tenay talks about the means AJ used to hold on to the title last night, stealing a cameraman's pen and using it to jab into Pope's eye.

-AJ is in the ring, and he has a mic. Styles tells the fans to shut up. He says due to the victory party for AJ Styles last night, Ric Flair won't be here tonight until later. AJ says he proved to the world that pound for pound, AJ is the best wrestler in the world. Styles says that at Lockdown he stepped into a steel cage against the Pope, and he took care of business, and he did it all without Ric Flair. AJ says to be honest, his ability was too much for Pope, and even though he was good, he just wasn't good enough. AJ says Pope has joined Jeff Jarrett, Sting, and Kurt Angle. They're no better than AJ either. AJ says it doesn't matter where it is, on TV, at house shows, he's the best. He's the workhorse of TNA. Styles says he's not slowing down any time soon.

-Rob Van Dam's music hits, and he's out on his way to the ring. Styles stares him down, not looking too happy.

-Van Dam is in the ring and he has a mic. Rob says that it might confuse AJ, but the RVD chants are called a "crowd reaction". RVD says that he was in the back, and Styles was doing a lot of talking, and Styles seems to think he's the best wrestler in TNA. Van Dam says not so, maybe AJ was the best wrestler at some previous point in time, but it's obvious to everyone that times have changes. RVD says he knows what AJ is upset about, he's used to getting all the attention, and he is a very good wrestler, but to tell the truth, RVD has never been quite as impressed by Styles as everyone else. Van Dam says that AJ is having a hard time, because TNA is where all the wrestlers want to be, and that's not good for him. Rob asks AJ how can he complain that he deserves the top spot more than wrestlers like... he drops the mic and let them say his name for him.

-Jeff Hardy's music hits and the "Charismatic Enigma" is on his way out to the ring. Hardy climbs in the ring and poses for big pops, shaking hands with RVD.

-Hardy's got a mic of his own, he tells AJ he's got a little head to be so big headed. Jeff says he's got a big head himself, but at least he's modest. Hardy says he came to TNA to do a lot and the movement is on. Hardy says he's here to complete his collection of titles by becoming the TNA World Champion.

-Hulk Hogan's music hits, and he's on his way out to the ring, holy crap how many more people can we bring out. Hogan gets into the ring, and unsurprisingly, he's got a mic too.

-Hogan says this is what he's talking about, and this is the reason everyone is talking about TNA. Hulk says this is why he brought RVD and Hardy in. He says no matter how you cut it, it's all about the TNA World Championship. Hogan shouts out to everyone in the back, saying they're going to raise the bar. He tells AJ that he's the World Champion, and that means he's the best at what you do. But when your the champ, doors open up, and things happen that you never dreamed of. It's about the business, the jets, and limos, and girls, and paychecks. Hogan says that's why he, and everyone wants the World Title. Hogan says you've always got to prove your the best, and there's always a target on your back. Hogan says every night he goes on as champ that just makes everything better. Hogan says he'll cut the crap right now, and he asks RVD and Hardy if they want it bad enough to put their friendship aside to get in the ring together and find out who's the very best. He asks if they want to find out tonight. The crowd goes nuts, and Hogan says that's great, because tonight, he wants them to come out and tear this building tonight, and he wants to hear everyone screaming "TNA, TNA, TNA". He says after tonight, the winner of the match will get a shot at AJ and the TNA World Title.

-AJ isn't too pleased with that and says that he didn't consult with Styles before this, and to tell the truth, Styles won't be ready by the next PPV. Hogan says he made the match, and who said anything about Sacrifice? Hogan says he isn't talking about Sacrifice, he says the man who wins the match between RVD and Hardy, will get a shot at AJ Styles, and the TNA Title, tonight! Hogan's music hits, Hardy and RVD look happy, and AJ's pissed.

-Ric Flair comes in the back and the cameraman of all people tells him about the match that was just booked. Flair doesn't believe him as he shoves him aside and walks past.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from break and Tenay immediately begins hyping the double main event. Taz says not only will they have RVD vs. Jeff Hardy, but the winner will face Styles. Not only that, Ric Flair will be barred from ringside.

-TNA Knockouts Tag Team Title Match: The Beautiful People vs. Daffney and ODB

-Daffney and ODB are already in the ring with no music.

-TBP come to the ring with all the KO belts, and Lacey Von Erich in tow.

-Daffney and Sky start things out, and Daffney goes crazy, attacking love and hitting a big knee before chasing Von Erich around the ring. Von Erich tags in and turns things around with a back handspring elbow. Sky tags in and stomps on Daffney before pinner her for a two count. Sky goes up to the second rope and tries for a double ax handle, but Daffney catches her with a big right to the stomach. Daffney tries for an enzugiri but misses, but ODB is able to tag in. ODB cleans house on both of TBP, before hitting Sky with a Thesz press. ODB sends Sky into the corner and hits a big splash before following it up with a fallaway slam. Madison Rayne distracts the referee, and Lacey sprays ODB with some sort of aerosol. Sky rolls up ODB, and steals the three count.

-Winners and STILL TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions: The Beautiful People

-JB is backstage and he's looking to get a word with Ric Flair. He's outside of AJ's dressing room, and he catches AJ whining. Flair says he's not happy about what happened last night, and he's not going to last much longer. He says he knows AJ will win tonight, what's important is that he wants a rematch, Team Hogan vs. Team Flair. JB interrupts and asks Flair about the match, Flair says they have five minutes and he wants it tonight, he tells JB to get the word out, and get out.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial and Abyss is in the ring and Jarrett is ringside, making his way into the ring with a fan-made Team Hogan sign. Abyss has a mic. He says he and Jarrett heard about the challenge tonight, but apparently Flair hasn't heard that the war ended last night at Lockdown when they did exactly what they said they would and beat their ass. He says if RVD and Hardy weren't already in a match, they would have a no problem taking Team Flair from pillar to post all around the Impact Zone.

-Flair walks out with his team and immediately tells the sound man to cut the music. He tells Jarrett to kiss his ass. He says screw Hogan, and screw the whole building, Team Flair is there and they're going to kick ass.

-Wolfe and BMI take the fight to Abyss and Jarrett, and even though they hold their own, when Sting enters with his bat, the fight is pretty much over. Rob Terry of all people is out to help, he knocks away Wolfe, and decimates both members of BMI, tossing them to the outside. Terry picks up Wolfe in a gorilla press, and tosses him into Sting before hitting Sting with a big boot.

-Flair is on the mic and he asks what Terry is doing. Flair says that Jarrett is a dead man.

-Bischoff is out at the top of the ramp with a mic. He says this again, really? He thought Flair learned his lesson last night. He wants a rematch? He'll get a rematch, Team Flair vs. Team Hogan, Jarrett, Abyss and Rob Terry, but it won't be four on three, because there's a guy in the back that's ready to lace up his boots, and he's ready to go. And Bischoff can't wait to reveal who it is later tonight.

    -Commercial break.

-Jeff Hardy is shown backstage warming up for his match vs. RVD up next.

    -Commercial break.

-Shannon Moore is shown backstage reading his book of DILLIGAF. Matt Morgan walks up, he says TNA management is putting a gun to their head, and even though Moore knows they don't need a partner, TNA management is forcing him to get one. Morgan says we need a partner, and asks if Moore wants to be part of the team. Moore asks if Morgan is counting his ego. He asks if Moore has anything better to do next week. Moore says he's got to prepare for his X Division match next week, and both of you guys can kiss his ass.

-Tenay and Taz hype the Team Flair vs. Team Hogan match, wondering who the mystery partner will be. Taz is also pretty excited about Jeff Hardy vs. AJ.

-Hulk Hogan is backstage with Bischoff, he's happy about his actions at Lockdown last night. Bischoff says the easiest person to con is a con man and Flair took the bait last night. Hogan says he's on a high after Lockdown, and he's excited for the World Title match tonight. Bischoff says this whole night is off the charts. Hogan asks if he's going to be here for sure. Bischoff says he'll be here and intense. Hogan asks about the new ranking system for the World Title. Bischoff says he dropped the ball, and he'll have it next week and the fans will love it. He calls his assistant in and asks her to bring the files on the new ranking system. Hogan makes a sexual innuendo, and Bischoff follows suit.

-RVD is shown backstage, he says he's fighting one of his best friends tonight, and that doesn't mean they have to hate each other. They came here for the same thing, and tonight he's going to show why he's the whole f'n show.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial, and Jeff Hardy is the first man out to the ring to lots of love from the crowd. RVD is out next, and he too gets a warm reaction from the fans in the Impact Zone.

-The bell rings, and this one is on. We get a handshake, and RVD ducks a lock up attempt. RVD catches Hardy from behind, but Hardy ducks a spinning back kick. Both men are pretty cautious. We get a test of strength, and is goes straight into a bit of chain wrestling. Hardy tries for a twist of fate, but RVD gets out of it.

    -Commercial break.

-Hardy and RVD and fighting for position and Hardy hits RVD with a backhand before hitting a spinning mule kick.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial and RVD and Hardy are fighting on the outside. RVD hits a front suplex, putting Hardy on the barricade. RVD climbs up to the ring apron and leaps off with a twisting leg drop. Van Dam looks to have reopened his wound from last night. Van Dam picks up Hardy and sends him into the ring, handing his neck up on the ring apron. Van Dam launches himself up and over the ropes with a big slingshot legdrop, coming down right on Hardy's neck. RVD climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits a big cross body block, but Hardy kicks out of the pin attempt. RVD picks up Hardy and he hits him with a couple of right hands, but Hardy starts to fight back. RVD stops it by kicking at his leg, but Hardy comes back with a low dropkick, that sends Van Dam head first into the corner turnbuckle. Hardy hits his big low leg drop, and follows it up with a big clothesline. A pin from Hardy is good for two. Hardy is up and he's pounding on RVD. RVD reverses a whip into the corner, but when he goes for the monkey flip, Hardy catches him with a clothesline and another near fall. Van Dam and Hardy trade blows. Hardy hits a crazy leg drop into a pin, but Van Dam kicks out at two. Hardy climbs to the top rope, but Van Dam catches him off guard. Van Dam moves him out to the middle of the top rope, and he goes to the top turnbuckle, hitting a big single leg dropkick that sends Hardy down to the floor. Hardy is able to crawl back into the ring, and RVD hits a quick leg drop, and a rolling splash, and he tries for a quick pin, but Hardy kicks out at two. Hardy backs RVD into the corner, and he tries for his jumping dropkick, but RVD avoids it and Jeff crashes to the mat. RVD connects with the split leg moonsault, but Hardy is able to kick out of a pin at two. Van Dam is back up, and he hits Hardy with a series of kicks to the head. RVD picks Hardy up, and he tries for a suplex, but Hardy reverses out and hits a front suplex of his own. Hardy goes up to the top rope, but RVD catches him with a spin kick to stop him. Van Dam tries to take Hardy down with a superplex, but Hardy blocks it and sends RVD crashing to the mat. Hardy tries for the swanton bomb, but he misses. RVD is right up on the top rope and he hits the five star frog splash. Van Dam pins Hardy, and he gets the three count.

-Winner and facing AJ Styles for the TNA World Title later tonight: Rob Van Dam.

    -Commercial break.

-Christy Hemme is backstage with RVD and Jeff Hardy. She says they were just supposed to talk to RVD but he insisted Hardy be there. RVD says this doesn't change anything. Hardy says of course not. They thank each other, and Christy says it's refreshing to see actions like that. They watch highlights from the match and compliment each other. They shake hands and Hardy says that it was an honor. RVD says they knew it could go either way, and he knows he's got Jeff support, so now he's got to focus on AJ. He says he always brings the best out. Hardy says if he's got another one of those in him, it'll be a breeze.

-Abyss is backstage with Rob Terry and Jeff Jarrett. He thanks Terry for helping tonight. Abyss says Terry raised his game tonight, and Team Flair doesn't have any idea what kind of freak Terry is. Terry says at the end of the night, everyone will know he's the freak Rob Terry. Abyss says they don't know who their fourth member is, but he trusts Bischoff, and Hogan, and he's sure it'll be a bombshell.

-Sting's music hits, and he's on his way out to the ring with his baseball bat in hand. We get a replay of last week when Jarrett attacked Sting, but it ended with Sting coming out on top, assaulting Jarrett. Apparently this match will work like Lockdown, but without the cage or weapons.

-Jeff Jarrett is the first man out for his team, and he makes his way to the ring to a nice reception.

    -Commercial break.

-Sting and Jarrett are brawling out in the crowd, and the bell rings, apparently kicking this thing off. Sting slams Jarrett into some sort of structure on the outside there. Sting drives Jarrett's head into a chair before picking that chair up and using it to wail on Jarrett. Sting takes Jarrett up into the stands and they fight out in front of the fans. This is just a flat out brawl. Jarrett starts to fight back, peppering Sting with right hands. Sting and Jarrett make their way down from the stands, and Jarrett grabs a chair, using it to hit Sting across the back. Jarrett hits Sting again, and talks smack to him. Jarrett slams Sting head first into the wall, but when he tries to whip him into it, Sting reverses and Jarrett ends up slamming against the wall. Sting takes Jarrett back to the barricade where he chokes him and flips him back into the ringside area. Sting picks up Jarrett and slams him down against the barricade, working over Jarrett's throat. Sting's stomps on Jarrett's fingers, and he jaws at Jarrett as the clock begins to count down. Sting tries for a splash in the corner, but Jarrett moves and starts to fight back, hitting Sting with a series of rights, and a big leaping clothesline. Both men go for the clothesline, and both go down.

-The next entrant is Desmond Wolfe for Team Flair.

-Wolfe makes his way down to the ring, where he tags in and goes to work on Jarrett with a big European uppercut. Wolfe sends Jarrett into the corner hard, and hits another uppercut. Wolfe tries to suplex Jarrett, but Jarrett blocks. Jarrett is able to hit a hip toss, and he hangs Desmond up on the second rope, crashing down on his back. Wolfe pokes Jarrett in the eye and takes Jarrett down by the arm. Wolfe puts Jarrett on the top rope, hits a throat chop and tries for the tower of London, but Jarrett fights out with a side suplex.

-The next entrant is Rob Terry for Team Hogan.

-Terry tags into the match, and Wolfe eats a couple of big clotheslines, and a back body drop. Sting is in, and he gets the same treatment. Orlando Jordan is at the top of the ramp watching. Terry hits a front slam on Wolfe, and a delayed vertical suplex into a powerslam.

    -Commercial break.

-During the break, Robert Roode and Abyss found their way into the match. Roode and Abyss are squaring off and Roode eats a big boot. Abyss splashes Roode in the corner, and he goes for a chokeslam, driving Roode to the mat. Abyss pounds on Roode in the corner, before sending him across the ring and hitting a big back body drop.

The next entrant is James Storm for Team Flair.

-Storm hits Abyss with a big boot, and that allows Roode to hit a beautiful diving neckbreaker. Roode tags in Storm and after a bit of double teaming, Storm goes wild on Abyss. It doesn't do much though as Abyss comes right back with a side slam. Storm tags out to Wolfe and Abyss makes the tag to Jarrett. Jarrett comes in as a house of fire and beats on Wolfe and BMI, but the three end up overpowering him, triple teaming Jarrett for a bit. Jarrett's able to connect with a double clothesline, and the clock counts down.

-The final entrant is Samoa Joe for Team Hogan!

-Joe makes his way down to the ring to a load of applause, and Desmond looks shocked. Jarrett looks hesitant, but Joe tags in and goes ape on everyone, taking out every single member of Team Flair. Joe connects with a big splash and kick to Sting before hitting a giant STO on Roode. Joe puts Roode on the top turnbuckle, and hits a big muscle buster, pinning Roode, and getting the three count.

    -Winner: Team Hogan

-Joe walks out immediately following the match, leaving his teammates to celebrate without him. Flair is out and says he has something to say to Team Hogan.

    -Commercial break.

-Back from commercial, and I don't think Tenay and Taz realize they are live, as they don't talk for a good 30 seconds. The ring is empty, but we get a recap. Flair apparently challenged Abyss next week to go one on one against Abyss if each man puts up their Hall of Fame ring.

-RVD's music hits, and it looks like we're ready for tonight's World Title match. Van Dam is out with the blood still on his forehead from the last match.

-The World Champion, AJ Styles is out next, and it amazes me how solid his reactions continue to be in spite of him doing everything he can to be a heel.

-AJ jumps RVD before the bell, and stomps away at him. For some reason the hard camera goes all weird for a second. AJ throws Van Dam to the outside and smirks at the fans. AJ dives over the ropes with a beautiful tope and nails RVD.

    -Commercial break

-Back from commercial and AJ is working over RVD in the ring. RVD starts to ight back, but AJ comes back with a couple of elbows. RVD flips over AJ and hits him with a series of rights, but AJ trips up Van Dam, and follows it up with a beautiful dropkick. AJ pins Van Dam and gets a two count. AJ picks up Van Dam and takes him to the corner where he hits him with a couple of chops. AJ takes Van Dam out to the middle of the ring and starts to work over Van Dam's leg. RVD starts to hit AJ with a series of punches and a quick kick, but another kick, and AJ ends up hitting Van Dam with a dragon screw. AJ chokes RVD with his boot in the corner, and he gets into a bit of an arguement with the ref. AJ tries to slam RVD's head into the turnbuckle, but Vn Dam blocks him, and hits him with a couple of big kicks. Both men are up, and they trade blows in the middle of the ring, with RVD coming out on top after a big clothesline, and another, and a third. RVD takes the fight to AJ in the corner, hitting his rolling monkey flip and launching Styles across the ring. RVD hits rolling thunder and pins AJ to get a two count. Van Dam picks Styles up, but Styles takes RVD down and locks in the figure four in the middle of the ring. RVD tries to punch AJ's knee to break the hold, but it doesn't work. Van Dam eventually gets to the ropes to force a break. AJ pulls Van Dam to the middle of the ring, and tries again for the figure four, but RVD counters with a small package for two. Styles comes back with a Pele kick, and he picks up Van Dam, trying for the Styles clash. Rob blocks it and sends AJ out to the apron. Styles springboards in, but RVD blocks it with a powerbomb. RVD goes up top, and hits the five star frog splash. Van Dam pins AJ, and it's over.

-Winner and NEW TNA World Champion: Rob Van Dam

-Confetti rains down from the ceiling, and Jeff Hardy is out from the back to celebrate with RVD. Styles is shown and he looks distraught. Hogan walks in with the World Title on his shoulder and he brings Dixie Carter out with him. Team Hogan, minus Joe, and Team 3D come out to celebrate with Van Dam. 3D pick Van Dam up on their shoulders, and AJ looks like he's going to cry. Van Dam celebrates and the crowd continues to go wild as the show comes to a close.

What you didn't see on WWE RAW this week
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 04/20/2010 at 03:05 AM

    John Bertollo sent this in:

After Raw goes off air, Triple H gets on the mic and blames The Undertaker for retiring Shawn Michaels. Triple H called out Undertaker. A referee was in the ring and a match appeared to be kicking off. Triple H tells Undertaker they are the "last two" of a dying breed and there is only room for one. The heels make a run-in including CM Punk, Luke Gallows, Chris Jericho, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder, Carlito, Kozlov and Dolph Ziggler. Undertaker and Triple H fight them off. Triple H gives the referee a Pedigree and then walks into a Tombstone. The show ends with Undertaker posing.

    Batista woedend tegen wwe

Batista upset with WWE over movie role?

WWE issued a press release this morning announcing WWE Studios is currently filming a new film in Louisiana, Killing Karma.

Batista had been publicly announced for the lead role a few months back, but was replaced by Triple H. According to sources, Batista is furious over the change.

"Batista wants to be a movie star," one source noted.

There was much discussion over the company's tour of Europe that Batista will leave WWE when his current deal expires in the summer. He's claimed to friends in recent months that he's looking to wind down his in-ring career in order to focus on acting.

Sean Waltman dan toch nog in TNA?

Sean Waltman not finished with TNA?

According to Mike Johnson, TNA had known since Wednesday or Thursday that Sean Waltman would not be at the TNA Lockdown PPV. Rumors as to why he missed to show range from him being sick (he appeared at an indy show on Saturday night) to having an issue with being licensed in Missouri.

At this point, he is expected to appear at the TV tapings this week in some fashion.

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre def. Matt Hardy
The Undertaker def. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger in a Non-Title Match
MacGruber & "Khalgruber" def. Vladimir Kozlov by count-out in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match
Triple H, Rey Mysterio & Edge def. CM Punk, Chris Jericho & Luke Gallows

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – With a giant ash cloud hovering over Europe, thanks to an erupting volcano in Iceland, air travel has been severely restricted, causing most of the Raw roster to find themselves grounded overseas after their European tour. With Extreme Rules less than a week away, however, WWE found plenty of angry SmackDown Superstars just itching to blow their tops.

Triple H, Rey Mysterio & Edge def. CM Punk, Chris Jericho & Luke Gallows (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Just six days until Extreme Rules, a battalion of the pay-per-view’s competitors converged in a Six-Man Tag Team Match pitting Rey Mysterio, Edge & Triple H against CM Punk, Chris Jericho & Luke Gallows. In the run-up to the highly anticipated Steel Cage Match, Edge faced down his former partner Jericho, who punished his rival by crushing his ankle. Punk also sent Mysterio a message in the lead up to their Extreme Rules contest.

The match’s conclusion, however, seemed fitting since it was Raw Superstar Triple H who led his team to victory by pinning SmackDown’s Straight Edge spiritual guide, CM Punk.

MacGruber & "Khaluber" def. Vladimir Kozlov by count-out in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
If MacGruber ever chooses you to replace him in a match, there’s only one thing for a self-respecting Superstar to do: Run! After apparently torching his earlier replacement, R-Truth, the Saturday Night Live character was forced to battle the Russian. Fortunately for the comedic crusader, his costar, Ryan Phillippe, intervened with a tag team partner: "The Great Khaluber!"

Dressed in MacGruber gear, a familiar looking Punjabi giant confronted Kozlov, punishing the Muscovite and causing him to flee up the entrance ramp and lose by count-out.

The Undertaker def. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger in a Non-Title Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The open challenge – always a dicey proposition. Since he defeated both Edge and Chris Jericho in the same match last Friday, though, World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger must have been feeling cocky. After addressing his Extreme Rules opponent Randy Orton, “The All-American American” issued an open challenge and almost got away with it when no one answered. That is, until a familiar gong rang out.

The Undertaker took Swagger up on his challenge and subsequently laid to rest the young champion. Swagger is undoubtedly hoping his Extreme Rules Title Match against Orton renders a considerably different outcome.

Vladimir Kozlov confronted special guest host MacGruber (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Cold War may be over, but things between Russia’s Vladimir Kozlov and American hero MacGruber were heated indeed. After a disgruntled Kozlov ripped into America, the titular character of the MacGruber film appeared on the TitanTron. He announced a main event, featuring Rey Mysterio, Edge & Triple H taking on CM Punk, Chris Jericho & Luke Gallows and lobbed a few verbal grenades in Kozlov’s direction. Rather than dispose of the Ruskie himself, though, MacGruber enlisted R-Truth to battle Kozlov later in the evening. Unfortunately, MacGruber had booby-trapped the arena and, well, may have accidentally blown up his hand-picked proxy.

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre def. Matt Hardy (PHOTOS | WATCH)
A visit to his ancestral homeland of Scotland during SmackDown’s European tour must have done Drew McIntyre more than a wee bit o’ good. The Intercontinental Champion, who has lost only to The Undertaker, retained his winning ways by overcoming the onslaught of Matt Hardy. But how well will the Great Scot fare next week when the WWE Draft comes to Raw in a special three-hour edition?

Straight Edge Society confronted Triple H; Rey Mysterio came to The Game’s aid (PHOTOS)
While no man is an island, Triple H certainly appeared adrift in unfamiliar waters when he opened Raw. The Superstar explained that, unlike the remainder of the red brand’s roster, he had remained stateside during Raw’s European tour. He explained that, due to the volcanic ash over Europe, air travel has been disrupted grounding most of his Raw brethren across the Atlantic.

The Game then went on to discuss his Street Fight against Sheamus this Sunday at Extreme Rules before he was rudely interrupted by The Straight Edge Society, including Luke Gallows, Serena and leader CM Punk. After Punk and Triple H exchanged words regarding Punk’s pay-per-view bout against Rey Mysterio, the preachy provocateur demanded that The King of Kings convert to Straight Edge. Triple H didn’t take too kindly to the proselytizing, and he and The S.E.S. came to blows. That’s when Mysterio joined the fray. The Biggest Little Man helped beat back The S.E.S. and, in a possible foreshadowing of their bout at Extreme Rules, managed to snip a lock of Punk’s hair in the process.

More travel problems, notes from RAW
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 04/19/2010 at 11:47 PM

    - WWE offered refunds to fans at tonight's RAW in East Rutherford, New Jersey because the RAW roster wasn't able to be there. Any fans wanting to get a full refund can bring their tickets to the Izod Center box office tomorrow.

    - Yoshi Tatsu vs. Zack Ryder and John Morrison vs. Carlito was taped tonight for this coming Thursday night's WWE Superstars.

    - Airports in the UK may not be open for use on Tuesday like originally planned, which means the WWE RAW crew may be stuck for a bit longer. A new ash cloud from the volcano eruption is casing more problems. Airports in Scotland and other UK areas may open Tuesday and WWE might have to use other forms of transportation to get the crew from Ireland to where ever they can fly out of.

    - Lilian Garcia returned on RAW for one night only as Justin Roberts is stranded overseas. Garcia lives in nearby New York City so she was available for the show. They called her on very late notice.

Update on Monday's RAW, Extreme Rules problems?
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 04/18/2010 at 06:56 PM

It’s not looking good for the RAW brand making it back in time to the United States for RAW tomorrow night. The flight ban in the UK has now been extended to 1:00 PM local time on Monday. It could be mid-week before WWE can fly out of the UK.

WWE’s problem may now be that they need to worry about getting the talents back in time for the Extreme Rules PPV next Sunday.

It’s expected that the Smackdown crew will work tomorrow night’s RAW but with videos from the RAW Superstars to hype the PPV. If RAW can make it back to the United States by Tuesday night, they would then likely appear on Smackdown.

    - Frankie Kazarian is the new X Division Champion after winning a three-way with Homicide and Shannon Moore at tonight's Lockdown PPV. Doug Williams was stripped of his title after being stuck in the UK due to travel problems from the volcano eruption.

    - Madison Rayne is the new TNA Knockouts Champion after pinning Tara in the tag match at Lockdown. Madison still holds one-half of the Knockouts tag Team Championship with Velvet Sky.
