NEWS AND VIDEO FROM THURSDAYS iMPACT! BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV The road to the October 14 Bound For Glory continues By Bill Banks
DONT FORGET: This Thursday night, October 4, starting at 9pm, TNA goes to two hours on SpikeTV!
There are several major news items to report from Thursdays iMPACT! broadcast on SpikeTV:
- During a backstage interview, the Voodoo Kin Mafia promised their fun and games were over in TNA and went on to insult the fans. The VKM also promised that Roxxi Laveaux would be a force in the TNA womens division. Later that night during the Knockouts Match, the VKM got involved and helped Roxxi get the win in the bout over Gail Kim.
- Team 3D were on the warpath on Thursday night, as they first attempted to injure Shark Boy during a tag team match. Later in the broadcast, Team 3D hit the ring and attacked the Motor City Machineguns but Shark Boy came out to try and stop them. As a result, Team 3D smashed Shark Boy in the throat with a steel chair in an attempt to injure him the same way they did to Scott Steiner!
- Also on the broadcast, the icon Sting attacked the maniacal Judas Mesias for what happened on last weeks broadcast. Sting and Mesias battled from the backstage area to the ring, but Kurt Angle came in to assist Mesias. With the odds against Sting, The War Machine Rhino attempted to come to his aid, but he faced the double team as well. However, Abyss made his return and chased off Angle and Mesias!
ECW Champion CM Punk and actress Milla Jovovich have a couple of things
in common: Both have legions of fans and know something about kicking
ass. To the Straightedge Superstars surprise, he found out he had even
more in common with the Resident Evil: Extinction star when he had an
opportunity to talk to her for this weeks Superstar to Superstar:
CM Punk: Your new film Resident Evil: Extinction was released last
Friday, Sept. 21. How is this film different from the other Resident
Evil films? What can the fans expect?
Milla Jovovich: Well, I have to say I was a little skeptical about
doing a third Resident Evil because I wasnt totally happy with the
second one. So, I was like, OK, where can we really take this? But
once I read the script, I was so impressed because I felt like this
movie is just a whole new feeling. It really stands on its own. Youve
got this incredible landscape, which was so cool, and it felt so
different because theres a whole generation of young people that dont
know the other movies. We also have amazing set pieces, like Las Vegas
half-buried in the sand and evil corporations, like laboratories, that
are kept underground, [and] these incredible computer generated maps.
You know, the set has just changed so drastically. We have amazing
special effects and also some really great moments between characters
and some great relationships. My character, Alice, gets cloned by the
evil corporation, and that was really interesting as well just to be
able to play my character in all of these different ways. I just think
there are some really great elements to it [the movie] that just make
it really fresh and new.
Punk: You mentioned that you had to play clones of yourself. Was
each one played differently than how you normally played Alice? Was
that a big challenge?
Jovovich: It was interesting. I felt like there were total
differences, like each clone had to have a little bit different of a
personality from the last one because each person is definitely
different. And what makes the original Alice so special is that she is
who she is because of her experiences. The other clones dont have the
experiences yet, so, of course, they end up getting killed over time
which is kind of scary for me to have to reenact my own death a few
times. Its really .
Punk: Yeah, its got to be weird.
Jovovich: The whole experience makes for a very creepy, surreal movie.
Just looking at all of the global issues going on right now to see
this computer generated world, where you see things like Las Vegas half
buried in the sand is just really chilling. Its also really
interesting that we even had a lot of our set pieces built in the sand
in Mexico. Its really cool because as actors you dont really get to
see the special effects. But this time, we actually got to see Las
Vegas buried in the sand. So we had the Eiffel Tower, the Venetian
Hotel, and a bunch of real, recognizable landmarks.
Punk: So, it made it easier then instead of having to pretend and work in front of a green screen?
Jovovich: You know, working in front of a green screen is always
really challenging because you definitely have to stretch your
imagination, and its always a bit disconcerting to be able to act in
front of or next to nothing. So, anything that you can do to react or
make it more organic and natural is very helpful.
Punk: Im sure. And from what Ive seen on TV and in the previews
is that there are some pretty intense action scenes with you beating
people up, throwing knives and all kinds of stuff. Out of all of the
scenes that you did, which one was your favorite to film?
Jovovich: Probably filming my clone sequences because I had to
revisit some of our old sets. My clones were going through this test
grid, and the evil corporations rebuilt a couple of scenarios that
weve seen in the first movie, and she has to go through these things
over and over again. So, its like having one of those bad, reoccurring
dreams over and over again. You really get this frustration watching
the movie because you feel really bad for her. Shes literally waking
up in the same scenario again and again. She was really persecuted by
these people and it makes it for a really interesting character.
Punk: Cool. Well, in this movie you kick a lot of ass and you look great doing it.
Jovovich: Thank you. [Laughs]
Punk: Youve been in action movies before, and I think you are a
great actress. Youre always gorgeous and muscular and always ready to
beat people up. How do you prepare physically for this character or any
other character?
Jovovich: I love to do a lot of training. In this particular film,
we did three months of training to learn the fight sequences and also
to do weapons training with the knives that Im using in the film. Its
always one of my favorite reasons to do action films because Ive
always been a Sci-Fi junkie, and always loved martial arts ever since I
was a kid. My dad and I used to have Kung Fu Sundays and watch all of
the old Chinese cinemas. So, Ive always been a big martial arts fan.
For me, to be able to train with real professionals and with some of
the best in the business is always really interesting and challenging,
and also a great honor. So, I really love it. I think because the women
that I play in these action movies are so strong and disciplined, I
think its important for me to try and emulate that in my own personal
life. I try really hard to work really long days to discipline myself
to just try to get in their mindframe because if their mindframe is
good, they must have trained 10 times harder. And we have 10 to 12-hour
workdays, and the days just fly by because you are always learning
something so interesting and new, like flying through the air, doing
backflips or whatever. Its really incredible.
Punk: It sounds like we have the same schedule. I cant get enough of it myself.
Jovovich: [Laughs]
Punk: Now, you say that youre a Sci Fi junkie. I wrestle on ECW, Tuesday nights on Sci Fi.
Jovovich: I know! You have a lot of fans here in Los Angeles.
Punk: Thats awesome. Youve been acting since you were 11,
[youre] a well-known supermodel, an actress, a singer, [and] a
musician. You are all of these things. To me, its awesome that there
are strong female role models out there that can do all of this stuff.
I think its super sexy that you can do all of these things, and you
are fantastic at all it. Out of all of those things, which do you enjoy
doing more?
Jovovich: Ive always been really organic with the things that I
do and in my career. I love to act for sure because my mother was an
actress in Russia. She was a big actress in the 70s, and was a big
star there. I always knew that Id follow in her footsteps since I was
a little girl. I think that everything else is just a branch off of the
same tree. As a model, I was acting then because when youre 11 years
old and youre modeling for these fashion magazines, youre really
acting just like a grown up. For me, it was kind of the same
difference. With music, I mean, Ive never been the perfect singer in
any way, shape or form, but Ive been more of a character or a
personality. I love writing. So for me, music was always about
performing onstage. It was always like writing in a diary for me when I
would write songs. I think that being an actress is what spawned
everything that I do because its really just entertaining and
performing. And being creative is what I love. I have a lot of
friends that are musicians and theyll come over, [and] well make
dinner and drink a few glasses of wine or have some beers, play some
guitars and jam! And that turns into, Hey, thats really good, lets
finish that song! Then we end up having about six or seven different
songs and just perform. [Laughs] So, its always just kind of natural
how it happens.
Punk: I used to be in a band before I wrestled.
Jovovich: Yeah? Thats awesome. Its always a relaxed, good time,
and I dont do music professionally anymore really. I did a few
professional shows this year, overseas, one over in Russia and one in
Paris. Its always very casual because I feel like for me, music is
just so natural. If I start promoting it, getting too involved in the
reviews and the this and the that, it gets depressing. It gets to be
real business, and I dont want it to be like business for myself in
that sense. Music has always been something that I do for myself. I
actually release demos on my Web site: www.millaj.com,
where I let people download my songs for free. Its fun, and I get a
lot of support from my fans, and I dont need to go through the hell of
promoting records.
Punk: Youve seen that I have a lot of tattoos. Some might
consider my tattoos good luck charms, even though I dont believe in
luck at all. Do you have any tattoos, or good luck charms for that
matter?
Jovovich: Well, I pray. I am definitely a spiritual person. Im
Eastern European I was born in the Ukraine. If you go to the Ukraine,
and see my home city Kiev, its actually a city of churches. Its a
very beautiful, spiritual place, so Ive always felt very close to God
in so many ways. Ive always felt a real magic in life. Even in the
fantastic movies that Ive been in, its always been an extension from
the magic that Ive felt in my everyday life. As long as I can keep
that childlike essence in myself, I think that I can have luck in that
sense because it makes me look at life in a more fun way so its not so
serious all the time. Just to enjoy each moment as it comes and to try
not to sweat the small stuff too much and to see the big picture and
appreciate the little things in life too, which are much more magical
than the big things could ever be.
Punk: Yeah, its definitely the small stuff thats important. Im
a huge music fan, and everywhere I go, I bring my iPod. The Resident
Evil movies, in my opinion, have always had a huge soundtrack and the
soundtrack has always been a big part of the movies. This year, Ive
noticed that you have the band, Throwdown, on the sound track. Its a
friend of mines band; they are a great straightedge, hardcore band. I
want to know what you listen to currently. Whats on your iPod?
Jovovich: Ive been listening to a lot of old music recently.
Everything from the 50s, like crooning, doo wop and also some 70s
music. Ive been playing a lot of America. Strange Magic is something
thats been playing on repeat.
Punk: Thats so interesting
Jovovich: [Laughs] Im also really into Olivia Newton-John. I play
so much stuff, and I have a lot of great friends that send me demos,
too. I also have friends on MySpace that have great songs that you
cant really buy. I like to listen to a lot of my friends music as
well. I have a pretty eclectic musical selection. But lately, Ive been
on a 70s kick.
Punk: Thats cool. So, whats in your future? Youve said that
youre pregnant, and I wish you the best of luck with that. I hope that
you have a very healthy baby. But whats in the future for you?
Jovovich: Well, actually Im leaving in just a few hours to go to
Germany to do a small part in my friends movie and hes actually the
godfather of my baby. Its going to be a lot of fun because I get to
play myself, which is neat. Then, Im going to have the baby, and next
year, I am in a film called Winter Queen that I am going to do in St.
Petersburg. I was supposed to do the movie this year, but because of
the pregnancy, I didnt finish it. Its based on a Russian, Victorian
thriller. It should be a lot of fun because its a period piece, which
is a nice change for me from the action stuff.
Punk: Thats very cool. Thank you so much for the interview. I
have just one more question for you since I am a huge fan. Could you
just say, Big Bada Boom for me?
Jovovich: Big Bada Boom! [Laughs]
Punk: I dont want you to hate me because I asked you to say that but I had to.
Jovovich: Are you kidding me? Thank you! I havent said that in
ages. Thank you so much for taking the time out to interview me and
good luck with everything!
Punk: Remember, luck is for losers. [Laughs] Alright, Milla. Thank you so much for your time.
Elijah Burke def. Kevin Thorn and Tommy Dreamer (Triple Threat)
Mike Knox def. Nunzio
Miz def. Local
CM Punk def. Matt Striker
Results:And then there were two By Andrew Rote September 25, 2007
INDIANAPOLIS - Elijah Burke is licking his lips as No Mercy comes closer and closer. After stealing the win in the Fatal Four Way last week, Burke once again notched the pin, covering Kevin Thorn for the three-count in the opening Triple Threat Match. Now, only Tommy Dreamer stands between ECWs Guiding Light and his second ECW Championship opportunity. With the experience and heart that the ECW Original brings to the table, however, that could be much easier said than done especially when he managed to beat the odds and survive against two ruthless competitors in Burke and Thorn thus far. (WATCH)
If these two potential challengers arent enough to occupy his mind, ECW Champion CM Punk apparently has a very big problem in the Land of the Extreme literally. After teaching Matt Striker a lesson and earning a victory in the main event, the Straightedge Superstar was almost turned into a straight-edged pancake when Big Daddy V squashed him with a splash. Did the beast prove that he is the ECW Champion's daddy? (WATCH) Read more on this story
In other ECW on Sci Fi action, The Miz kept alive his solo undefeated record since joining ECW. When his three beautiful escorts came to celebrate with him, however, the party was cut short, as Balls Mahoney asked Kelly Kelly if she would go out with him, for a second straight week. Unfortunately, just like the previous week, the answer remains unclear Before a smiling Kelly could answer, The Miz responded for her with a blow to Mahoney's mouth with the microphone. Kelly quickly rushed to his side, checking on Mahoneys condition, only to be pulled away as always by the self-proclaimed chick magnet and the rest of Extreme Exposé. (WATCH)
Also on Tuesday night, Mike Knox made up for last weeks disappointing loss when he defeated Nunzio in convincing fashion.
Dont miss further developments with Burke and Dreamer and the road to the ECW Championship on the next ECW on Sci Fi on Tuesday at 10/9 CT.
We can confirm that WWE superstar Randy Orton
missed tonights RAW and this weekends house shows because he married
his fiancée Samantha Speno this past Friday. He has been granted some
time off to enjoy his honeymoon and spend time with his newlywed wife.
A lot of people have sent emails asking whether or not The Legend Killer had been suspended.

Results:Raw gets Hardcore with Holly's return By Corey Clayton September 24, 2007
MILWAUKEE After five months off with a broken arm, Hardcore Holly was ready to make his mark in the ring.
And in a town famous for its beer, trouble was brewing for Cody Rhodes at the hands of the returning ring veteran. As punishment for disobeying Acting General Manager Jonathan Coachman and attacking Randy Orton last week on Raw, Rhodes faced the returning former six-time Hardcore Champion in his first match back.
Holly chided Rhodes in the ring before their match.
With a name like that, you should be in a boy band and not in a wrestling ring, Holly said. You dont get my respect based on your name. If you want my respect, you need to earn it.
The young Rhodes didnt back down from the returning veteran, pelting him with punches and dropkicks. But Holly was able to dodge Rhodes springboard plancha attempt, then finish him off with a powerful Alabama Slam.
With an impressive return, Holly put the Raw locker room on notice that hes back and better than ever.
In other Raw action:
Tag turmoil
Paul London & Brian Kendrick knew that a victory over World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade &Trevor Murdoch in a non-title contest would ensure them a title match next week on Raw. As Kendrick had Murdoch covered for the pinfall, The Highlanders came in and beat down Kendrick & London, causing a disqualification. The Scottish cousins were upset that they werent granted a title opportunity, and wanted to thwart London & Kendricks chance for yet another title match.
Italian iced
Santino Marella and Ron Simmons squared off in an attempt to settle their recent rivalry over Santinos girlfriend, Maria. But after taking a pummeling from the former three-time World Tag Team Champion, Marella fled. Maria implored Marella to return to the ring, but Marella took Marias arm and led her away, conceding the damn count-out to Simmons.
Flying high
Beth Phoenix continued to show her dominance over Raw Divas and put Womens Champion Candice Michelle on notice when she and Shelton Benjamin defeated the championship pair of Womens Champion Candice Michelle & Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy. As the men battled outside the ring, the Glamazon hit a distracted Candice from behind, and then flattened her with powerful cradle suplex to pick up the pinfall.
Handicap cage
Triple H came into Raw thinking hed only have Carlito to deal with inside the 15-foot-high steel cage. But as payback for The Games humiliating treatment, Mr. McMahon added himself to the cage match and won the match for Carlito and himself, escaping over the top. Story | Watch the video ...

* Jimmy Wang Yang def. Jamie Noble * Deuce & Domino def. WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & United States Champion MVP (Non-title) * World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. Mark Henry (Non-title, no contest)
Results:Beyond the matrimony By Lennie DiFino September 21, 2007
ATLANTA The season premiere of Friday Night SmackDown was expected to be its biggest ever, and in that respect, it did not disappoint. However, by the end of the evening, our fans in the Philips Arena and at home watched as rivalries both recent and past were brutally rekindled, while a couples vow to love and cherish each other was doused by tragedy.
619: Flight grounded Rey Mysterio wasnt able to recapture the World Title at Unforgivens Triple Threat Match with Khali and Batista, but the high-flying former champion granted his first SmackDown interview since returning from injury. However, when JBL felt Michael Cole was being too soft with his line of questioning, the SmackDown commentator began berating the Superstar who forced him to retire from the ring last year. Rey challenged JBL to a fight, but the self-proclaimed wrestling god introduced the man who loves to fight, Finlay. The Irishman attacked, leaving Rey down and out in the center of the ring. Watch the video
Deflated It looked as if WWE Tag Team Champions MVP & Matt Hardy might finally be on the same page as a team, but the latest chapter in their title reign took a turn for the worse Friday when Deuce & Domino defeated them in non-title action. The Ballin Superstar took both tag titles as well as his United States Championship when he walked out Atlantas Philips Arena in. These rivals-turned-partners have already been skating on thin ice for weeks; will this loss to the former champions be the thing to break it?
Not-so Noble Jamie Noble has had no luck since losing a series of matches against Cruiserweight Champion of the World Hornswoggle. In fact, his ring losses have been second only to his personal embarrassments at the hands of Mr. McMahons lillegitimate son, and his troubles only grew on SmackDown Friday night. While facing Jimmy Wang Yang, Noble exited the ring when he saw what he believed to be Hornswoggles hat. Instead, he found Shannon Moore donning the hat and laughing at Noble. The lapse in judgment soon cost Noble the match, as Yang capitalized to get the victory.
Batista a giant-sized target The World Heavyweight Champion Batistas first Friday night since reclaiming the title was certainly not what he had planned. Instead of celebrating his long journey back to the top, Batista was confronted by Mark Henry, leading to a non-title contest between the two. During the match, The Great Khali interfered and aided Henry in decimating The Animal with a violent barrage of power. Batista may have even bigger problems in his future, though, because at No Mercy, he must defend his title against the colossal Khali in a Punjabi Prison Match. Read the whole story
Ceremonial shocker A night that was supposed to see the hearts of Theodore Long and Kristal united in marriage instead witnessed the chaos that ensued when SmackDowns General Manager in the middle of saying I do suddenly collapsed. The distraught screams of Kristal resonated throughout the Philips Arena as SmackDown came to a traumatic end in front of our shocked fans, Superstars and wedding guests. Balls Mahoney def. Mike Knox
Big Daddy V def. Boogeyman
Results: Fatal road to No Mercy By Andrew Rote September 18, 2007ATLANTA The Land of the Extreme is a world that revolves around the ECW Championship. ECW on Sci Fi exemplified just that when Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards explained why they should each be CM Punk's next challenger.
After arguing over who deserves the title opportunity the most, the four Superstars had their decision made for them by General Manager Armando Estrada. An Elimination Chase to No Mercy would determine CM Punks No Mercy opponent for the gold. The competition commenced as soon as Estrada finished, as the four squared off in a Fatal Four Way Match. Three would remain eligible to confront each other once again, but whoever fell victim to a pin would face elimination. (WATCH) Read more on this story
ECW on Sci Fi featured another huge match literally when Big Daddy V took on Boogeyman. The worm enthusiast put up a good fight, but the massive monster proved to be too much man for him when the student flattened the closet lurker. The match served as the climax thus far to one of ECWs biggest rivalries, and as proof that there truly is nothing that can stop Big Daddy V.
Earlier in the night, Extreme Exposé put on a show for our fans once again. The best seat in the house, though, belonged to Kelly Kellys Balls Mahoney bear, which sat in the corner of the ring. After the performance, Mahoney redeemed last weeks loss to Mike Knox with a convincing win. But his real reason for celebrating that night came when he grabbed the microphone and asked Kelly out. She smiled, then got pulled backstage by The Miz and the other Exposé members before she could answer. Nonetheless, Mahoney announced that he would take that as a yes. (WATCH)

Results: Glamazon on the warpath By Corey Clayton September 17, 2007NASHVILLE, Tenn. Mount. St. Glamazon is ready to erupt.
After dominating the Womens Champion Candice Michelle at Unforgiven, Beth Phoenix thought she should be wearing the gold as top Diva. But Candice caught the towering Phoenix in a crucifix, and scored a surprising pinfall.
The menacing Glamazon stood at ringside on Raw, staring down her Unforgiven opponent in Nashville as she competed in tag team action. After Candice and Mickie James defeated Melina and Jillian Hall, the Glamazon took the Womens Championship into the ring and placed it on the champions shoulder. Then, Beth slapped the gold forcefully, perhaps as a warning to the Womens Champion that shes not settling for second best.
Beth locked eyes with Candice as she left the ring. Both elite Divas know that they may cross paths for the championship again, perhaps sooner than later.
In other developments on Raw:
A Hardy result Still suffering from the ill-effects of The Great Khalis crushing Vise Grip a week ago, Jeff Hardy successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against former three-time champion Shelton Benjamin.
As Benjamin tried to snatch and throw Hardy from the top turnbuckle, Hardy blocked the attempt and pushed Benjamin down to the canvas. The Rainbow-haired Warrior hit his patented Swanton Bomb and earned the hard-fought three-count.

NoDQ.com > TNA > More Details On Andrew "Test" Martin Leaving TNA Posted by Ryan Gray on 09/14/2007 at 01:10 PM
Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter
As previously reported, Andrew "Test" Martin was let go from TNA. It has been reported that he was too muscular, and the way the industry is right now with steroids, this is not seen as a big plus. Before Martin's debut with TNA, he was second guessed since he was a WWE reject who didn't have anything special to offer.
When he came in and wasn't impressive, it was basically the same reaction as Damaja & Doug Bashman, thus the end result was the same.

The Animal was still on the prowl even after he speared Khali on Raw, seeking retribution for his friend, and former WWE Tag Team Co-Champion, whom Khali brutalized last week. The Khali Vise Grip that left Rey demolished and bloodied a week ago was applied on Batista Friday night, but the Punjabi Giant was disqualified when he refused to break the hold. The brutal nature of Batista and Khalis encounters has grown well past the boiling point, and threatens to explode this Sunday. Read the full story
With just one week until the happiest day of their lives, both General Manager Theodore Long and his fiancée, Kristal, put the finishing touches on their pre-wedding arrangements. While Kristal and her bridesmaids continued their behind-the-scenes planning -- with a bachelorette party -- the men of SmackDown threw a bachelor party for the General Manager. Best man Ron Simmons asked SmackDowns newest team Jesse & Festus to supply the entertainment, and the Superstars did not disappoint. The Major Brothers, Sgt. Slaughter, "The Natural" Butch Reed and others joined in the party to help Long celebrate his final days as a single man. More on the Festivities...
Before they defend their WWE Tag Team Titles this Sunday against former champions Deuce & Domino, Matt Hardy & MVP tried to one-up each other on SmackDown in a chess match. After MVP sneezed and prematurely ended their latest one-on-one contest, Hardy informed the Ballin Superstar that he would be in action that night against Domino. Matt assured that he would indeed be in his unwilling partners corner -- much like MVP had been when he helped Hardy to victory over Deuce last week and he was vocally true to his word. Fashioning himself as the U.S. Champions biggest fan for most of the contest, Hardy lead the Minneapolis crowd in M-V-P, chants while the brazen Superstar still wearing most of a rather expensive suit engaged in a slugfest with Domino. When Deuce tried to interfere, Matt knocked him to the ground but in the process also angered his own partner. As MVP scolded Hardy, Domino rolled him up in a small package to steal the win. Can the bomber-jacketed duo carry that momentum into Unforgiven as they attempt to regain the WWE Tag Team Championship, or will Matt Hardy & MVP figure out how to work together and keep the gold?
Before his encounter with Undertaker at Sundays Unforgiven, Mark Henry came to SmackDown dressed as a druid and telling our fans, Undertakers powers pale in comparison to mine. But as Henry showed a video of his vicious attack on The Deadman back in May, another Undertaker video suddenly aired on the TitanTron. Afterward, a bolt of lightning flashed in the arena, hitting the stage and setting aflame a huge Undertaker symbol. Then came a final warning for the self-proclaimed Silverback: Mark Henry . Unforgiven . You will rest in peace. Are Mark Henrys days of domination coming to an end at the hands of The Phenom?
One Superstar who knows Undertaker well is his brother Kane, who was in action against Finlay in WWEs first-ever Belfast Brawl. The brutal rivalry between these two Superstars reached a whole new level Friday night, as the Big Red Monster and the Irishman, quite frankly, beat the living hell out of each other. Late in the grueling contest, Kane seemed to gain the advantage and readied himself to use the steel steps as a weapon. But Finlay would neutralize the threat with a steel chair to the monsters ribs, then picked up the victory with a devastating Celtic Cross.
In other SmackDown action, Chuck Palumbo and Kenny Dykstra both became involved in Michelle McCools match against Victoria, causing a double disqualification. But then General Manager Theodore Long ordered that a Mixed Tag Team Match take place, and the budding rivalries between all four individuals heated up once more. Palumbos dominant streak continued to roll forward as he nearly decapitated Dykstra with a clothesline that sent him flying over the top rope. It also gave Michelle the opening she needed to nail the deranged Victoria with a kick to the head for the victory.
Also, Shannon Moore defeated Jamie Noble after outsmarting his fellow cruiserweight. As the match progressed, Moore screamed that the little bastard son of Mr. McMahon, Hornswoggle, was under the ring. As an incensed Noble went looking for the Cruiserweight Champion of the World, Moore rolled him up for the pin instead, once again giving Noble the short end of the stick.

* The Miz def. Tommy Dreamer * Matt Striker def. Nunzio * Mike Knox def. Balls Mahoney * CM Punk & Stevie Richards def. Elijah Burke & Kevin Thorn
Results:No apologies By Andrew Rote September 11, 2007
MINNEAPOLIS CM Punk may forgive Elijah Burke for interrupting his discussion with General Manager Armando Estrada to kick off ECW on Sci Fi, but you can be sure he will not forgive the Experience for three disrespectful shoves when it comes time for the two to face at Sundays pay-per-view. The ECW Champion responded with a Enzuiguri that sent Burke out of the ring via airmail.
Punk continued his sneak preview of Unforgiven in Tuesday nights main event when he and Stevie Richards took on Burke and Kevin Thorn. ECWs self-proclaimed Guiding Light could only look on as his tag team partner fell victim to the Straightedge Superstars G.T.S. sending him snoring toward the nearest coffin. We can only imagine what CM Punk has in store for Burke when he puts his ECW Championship on the line for the first time. Read full story (WATCH)
Earlier in the night, The Miz earned a dominant win against Tommy Dreamer. Kelly Kelly, though, was the party pooper during his celebration. Extreme Exposé ushered Kelly against her will to and from the ring for his contest. Moments later, Balls Mahoney turned her frown upside down when he gave her a Balls teddy bear. She wished him luck, but unfortunately for the ECW Original, it didnt come through. Mahoney was pitted against Kellys ex-boyfriend Mike Knox, making his return to ECW on Sci Fi and determined to have a big night. The Miz walked out to observe Mahoneys match and just as Balls caught him, Knox capitalized on his opponent with a devastating kick and a pin. (WATCH)
In other ECW on Sci Fi action, Matt Striker shined in one of the quickest matches in recent ECW history. After rolling up Nunzio for the win, Striker was joined in the ring by his "heavy," Big Daddy V, who was craving some scraps. As he punished Nunzio, Boogeyman appeared on the screen with a rendition of Humpty Dumpty that would leave a grown man scared of the dark. The two monsters will face to settle their rivalry next Tuesday. (WATCH)

of his famous entrance, he was drafted to Raw several months back. He
had most recently been seen last night against Santino Marell
Click to learn more... NoDQ.com > WWE > Full Details On King Booker Quitting WWE Posted by Ryan Gray on 09/11/2007 at 10:40 AM
Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter
As we broke over the weekend, Robert Huffman (a/k/a King Booker) quit World Wrestling Entertainment after being informed he was going to be suspended 60 days, because he is also believed to have had a test failure to go along with being in the prosecutor's records as receiving packages of steroids. WWE hopes Booker will reconsider, but as we stated this weekend, they are moving forward under the impression that his is finished with the company.
Huffman already had a chip on his shoulder after John Laurinaitis made the call to do the Florida developmental territory, while turning down his PWA promotion in Houston. WWE had also banned their talent from participating in PWA events in Pasadena, Texas, thus causing Huffman to use TNA talent. This raised many people's eyebrows in WWE, but nothing was said.
There was also a contact issue between Huffman and WWE. For years he swore that he would never wrestle a day past 40 (he is now 42). Recently, Huffman was about to sign a new contract, but it's not clear whether it was actually signed. Huffman is said to be in strong economic shape as he's earned a lot of money from his Hip Hop clothing store in Houston, as well as a wrestling school in the city, and a wrestling school he's affiliated with in South Africa.
World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali def. Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy (non-title)
GREEN BAY, Wisc. The Great Khali normally has a firm hold on SmackDown. But on the road to Unforgiven, the World Heavyweight Champions Vise Grip reached across the airwaves and took hold of Raw.
After Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy celebrated the fact he wasnt Mr. McMahons bastard son, the Chairman placed him in a match against The Great Khali. The Punjabi Giant was visiting Raw claiming to be McMahons child.
In their match, Khali caught The Rainbow-haired Warrior in his crushing Vise Grip. Hardy tried to fight free, but passed out from the pressure. Khali nonchalantly covered him with a foot for the pinfall victory.
However, as Khali celebrated, Batista rushed the ring and speared the colossus, who then rolled out of the ring. The Animal stood on the turnbuckle pointing and yelling at the champion, motioning around his waist. The two will square off for the first time ever on broadcast TV on SmackDown this Friday night before their Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven.
A little shocking While many male Superstars prayed they were Mr. McMahons illegitimate child in Green Bay (and some prayed they werent), word finally came down from Mr. Johnson, the attorney for the mother of McMahons bastard son.
After a lengthy process of elimination, the privileged son of the son-of-a-gun Chairman was revealed to be Hornswoggle!

Cenas blood boils over Despite being banned from the Resch Arena by Acting General Manager Jonathan Coachman, WWE Champion John Cena found a way inside the building and attacked his Unforgiven opponent Randy Orton, who attacked Cenas father two weeks prior. Consumed with rage over the attack on his family, Cena tried to chase Orton, but security intervened to keep the rivals apart.
As Cena was escorted from the arena, he told Mr. McMahon that Orton's blood will run with fear and the Legend Killer would feel pain and vengeance in his bones. Story
Gaining momentum After a whirlwind tour in South Africa that saw the World Tag Team Titles change hands twice this past week, Paul London was able to defeat one-half of the current champions, Lance Cade, in singles action. Read more about title changes...
While the referee was distracted by Cades partner Trevor Murdoch, Londons partner Brian Kendrick surprised Cade with a top-rope reverse bulldog. London landed a somersault splash onto Cade and scored the pinfall, enraging the sportsmanship-touting, blue-collar duo. The two rival teams will face off for the World Tag Team Championship at Unforgiven in just six days.
Game breaker? Acting GM Coachman gave Carlito the choice of Triple Hs Raw opponent, and the crafty Caribbean chose former Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin. But The Game was still able to defeat Benjamin with a Pedigree. Carlito tried to hit Triple H with a chair after the win, but the 10-time World Champion dodged it, sending Carlito scurrying for safer ground.
Coachman announced that Mr. McMahon had decided to change the pairs Unforgiven matchup into a No Disqualification Match for Carlito only, which means any weapon is legal for the islander, but not for The Game. Story
Dark Phoenix rising What started as a Mickie James victory over Jillian Hall turned ugly as the No. 1 contender for the Womens Championship, Beth Phoenix, leveled both Hall and James after their match.
Womens Champion Candice Michelle courageously left the announcers table to confront her Unforgiven opponent, but received a powerful slam for her trouble. Can Candice find a way to counter Phoenixs strength advantage in six days, or will we see a new champion on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Unforgiven?
Italian icing Santino Marella lost via disqualification against Sandman, who caned him a week earlier. After the match, as Ron Simmons and Maria talked about Santinos change of attitude, Marella attacked Simmons from behind, then walked off with a very disturbed and shocked Diva.
Will there be new champions when Raw returns next week? Well find out in short order. Check out Unforgiven, live and only on pay-per-view this Sunday, Sept. 16 at 8/7 CT.
