    WRESTLINGBLOG

    02-04-2010

Rob Van Dam talked about how he's feeling in TNA so far with the following quote from a new blog on RobVanDam.com. Here's part of what RVD wrote:

"To counter any negative energy that may be out there, concerning TNA in any matter, let me just tell you that I am loving it there. The reasonable work schedule, the doable travel, the people in and behind the scenes, the growing situation, the excitement from the crowd, the unstoppable path to the top I’m on, love it all."

R-Truth, Matt Hardy, CM Punk & Wade Barrett def. Christian, Carlito, William Regal & The Miz
David Otunga wins an Eight-Man Battle Royal

LAS VEGAS – In the most important night of WWE NXT thus far, the Pros’ Poll votes were cast. Despite his winless record, thanks to competing against the likes of the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and The Great Khali, Daniel Bryan is No. 1 in the Rookie Rankings! But in an Eight-Man Battle Royal of NXT Rookies, it was David Otunga who prevailed, securing his spot as special guest host of Raw Monday night.

After more than a month of competition on WWE NXT, all of the Rookies were simultaneously put to the test in an Eight-Man Battle Royal, with the winner earning a special honor – guest host duties of Raw. David “A-List” Otunga, who was voted into the No. 5 spot in the Pros’ Poll, was victorious after finally eliminating Justin Gabriel. Otunga heads to Raw with a 4-1 record and will surely use his star power to wow the WWE Universe and the WWE Pros Monday night.

“You can expect this Monday to have the ‘A-List’ stamp all over it. Everything is going to be top-notch,” Otunga said after celebrating with his Pro, R-Truth.

The WWE Pros from Raw and SmackDown battled each other in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match on WWE NXT this week. But the SmackDown Pros were down a Superstar, as World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho was unable to compete after being hit with Edge’s devastating Spear off the announce table and into the barricade at WrestleMania. Jericho’s Rookie, Wade Barrett, stepped in, and proved to be plenty of competition for the Pros. After an assist by Jericho that the WWE official didn’t see, Barrett pinned Christian, upping his record to 3-2.

Pros’ Poll reveals Rookie Rankings (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After five weeks of competition, the NXT Rookies have reached the first milestone in their careers with the Pros’ Poll. The eight Superstar Pros judged the Rookies on four criteria: win/loss records, the strength of their opponents, dedication and work ethic, and the “it” factor. (A Pro could not vote for his own Rookie.) WWE NXT Host Matt Striker revealed the Pro’s Poll Rookie Rankings and the results are:

    1. Daniel Bryan
    2. Wade Barrett
    3. Justin Gabriel
    4. Heath Slater
    5. David Otunga
    6. Skip Sheffield
    7. Michael Tarver
    8. Darren Young

The Pros will vote again in six weeks, and on that night, the NXT Rookie in last place will be eliminated from the competition. From then on, one Rookie will be eliminated each week until there’s a final four! Only one Rookie will be crowned WWE’s next breakout star and will receive a championship match on pay-per-view versus the champion of his choice.

In the next few weeks, the contest will only become harder. Not only will there be matches, but also competitions that will test a Rookie’s skill set required to be a WWE Superstar. (VOTE: Which Rookie has impressed you most so far?)

Update on the status of Shawn Michaels
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 03/29/2010 at 01:25 PM

    Credit: PWInsider.com

Following last night's Wrestlemania 26, it appears that Shawn Michaels really is retiring, or at least taking a long break at the very least.

The WWE public relations person in the media section last night was telling reporters that Shawn Michaels is indeed retiring. This was also the word going around backstage at the show. A long break is at least possible as Shawn was telling people goodbye last night.

    WWE RAW Results - March 29, 2010
Posted by Steve Carrier on 03/29/2010 at 09:19 PM

Tonight's WWE RAW kicks off with Michael Cole welcoming us to the US Airways Center from Phoenix, Arizona. Lawler and Cole talks about WrestleMania. Tonight, Shawn Michaels will say goodbye to the WWE Universe.

    - We go to the ring where the former WWE Champion Batista makes his way out.

    - We go to the ring where the former WWE Champion Batista makes his way out. Batista comes out in street clothes and looks pissed as he walks to the ring. The crowd boo's Batista as his music stops. Batista tries to talk but the heat from the crowd is deafening. Batista says everyone expects him to come out and throw a fit about losing the WWE Title but he's not going to give the satisfaction. He says last night was a blip on the radar, a fluke. A "you tapped out" chant starts from the crowd.

Batista says he's owed a rematch and no matter what happens, John Cena cannot beat him. John Cena's music hits and out comes the WWE Champion to a monster pop from the fans.

There's a bit of a mixed reaction when Cena gets in the ring. He says there's some WrestleMania energy left in the air tonight. Cena jokes about beating Batista last night. A "Cena sucks" chant breaks out now. Cena mocks Batista for tapping out last night. Batista is getting pissed. Cena talks about the rematch and proposes that it happen tonight on RAW. The crowd loves this. Cena challenges Batista for tonight. Batista asks the fans if they would like to see that. Not tonight, he says. The crowd doesn't like this. Batista punches Cena and they go at it. Batista rolls out of the ring and they stare each other down. From out of nowhere, Jack Swagger attacks John Cena from behind with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Swagger takes a mic and declares that he's cashing in right now. Swagger goes back in the ring but Cena almost gets him locked in the STF. Swagger rolls out of the ring and gets away from Cena's STF as a referee is running in. Swagger starts saying no way, the match never started. And it didn't. The bell never rang so it appears Swagger did not use his shot yet. Swagger heads to the back, talking trash to Cena.

    - Cole and Lawler talk about Shawn Michaels losing to Undertaker last night. They lead us to a video package showing highlights from Shawn's career. We come back and they plug Shawn's farewell on RAW tonight. We go back to commercial.

    - Back from the break and out come some WWE legends. Ted DiBiase Sr., Nick Bockwinkel, IRS, Pat Patterson and Arn Anderson make their way to the ring and stand around it. Roddy Piper's music hits next and out he comes. He brings Sgt. Slaughter, Tony Garea and Ricky Steamboat with him. Jerry Lawler puts down his headset and heads around the ring as well. Justin Roberts brings out tonight's RAW hosts - the two guys from Hot Tub Time Machine. They announce tonight's main event as Jack Swagger and Batista vs. John Cena and a partner of his choosing. They also announce a Hot Tub match between them two and the WWE Divas. The reason for the Legends being around the ring is for this Legends Lumberjack match.

Legends Lumberjack Match: Christian vs. Ted DiBiase

Christian is introduced first as the WWE Legends applaud him from ringside. Christian gets a big pop from the crowd. Out next is his opponent, Ted DiBiase. Ted's father The Million Dollar Man claps for him.

Back from the break and Ted is going at it with Christian. Christian ends up slapping Ted to the mat. More back and forth until Ted is thrown over to the floor. They throw Ted right back into the ring. Ted comes back with a big clothesline on Christian and a 2 count. Ted works Christian over in the corner now. Christian with a big right hand. He goes for the DDT off the top but Ted counters, throws him and hits a kick to the face. 2 count by Ted.

More back and forth and a 2 count by Christian. Christian hits a dropkick from the top and gets another 2 count. Ted pulls Christian's legs out and goes for Dream Street. Christian counters it and ends up kicking Ted in the head. Christian with a forearm off the top. Christian goes for Killswitch but Ted counters and they both go to the floor. The Legends start fighting each other at ringside. This distracts Ted once he's back in the ring. Christian hits the Killswitch for the pinfall and the win.

    Winner: Christian

    - After the match, Christian heads up the ramp celebrating with Garea, Piper, Steamboat and Slaughter. Ted Sr. gets in the ring to help Ted Jr. up. Ted bucks back and it kind of shocks his father. The crowd boo's Ted Jr. as he heads out of the ring and up the ramp while his dad looks on from the ring.

    - We go to another video package of HBK's career.

    - Triple H is shown heading to the ring as we go back to commercial.

    - Back from commercial and the announcers lead us into a video showing highlights from WrestleMania 26 festivities this past week in Phoenix.

    - Back from commercial and the announcers lead us into a video showing highlights from WrestleMania 26 festivities this past week in Phoenix.

    - We go backstage where the RAW hosts are in bath robes. Santino Marella walks by with a line. The hosts walk over to the hot tub where Rosa, The Bella Twins and Tiffany are sitting in it in bikinis. The winner of this gets a future Divas Title match. The hosts get in and start the "match", sitting beside the Divas. They pull out champagne and say there aren't any "losers" in this match. The Divas say there has to be a loser and they start sipping champagne. We go to the ring.

    - Triple H's music starts playing and he appears on the stage looking a bit sad. Triple H stays on the stage and gets ready to talk as the crowd settles down. He says this is kind of a surreal night and the end of an era. He says he never thought it would end this way for Shawn. Triple H talks about meeting Shawn years ago and says they took on the world. He goes on and has something to say in front of the whole world... out of nowhere comes Sheamus. He hits Triple H in the back with what looks like a pipe. Triple H is laid out on the ramp. Sheamus heads to the back as the crowd gives him some major heat. WWE officials come out and check on Triple H as we go to commercial.

Mickie James, Gail Kim, Eve, Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly vs. Vickie Guerrero, Alicia Fox, Maryse, Layla and Michelle McCool

Back from commercial and out come the face Divas for a WrestleMania rematch. Maryse's music hits next and out comes her team. The bell rings and it's Maryse starting off with Eve. Maryse taunts and poses to start the match. Eve comes from behind and rolls Maryse up for the pinfall and the win. That quick.

Winners: Mickie James, Eve, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Gail Kim

    - After the quick match, all the Divas get in the ring and start going at it. Typical Diva stuff. Team Mickie clears the ring and sends the heel Divas to the back.

    - We get another video package with highlights from Shawn's career. This time, the ladder match with Razor Ramon at WrestleMania 10. Cole and Lawler plug HBK's farewell again as well as tonight's main event with John Cena and a partner vs. Batista and Jack Swagger.

    - We see Bret Hart heading to the ring to address the fans as we go back to commercial.

    - Back from commercial and we get another Shawn Michaels. This time it's the epic Iron Man match with Bret Hart where Shawn won the WWE Title.

    - We go to the ring where WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart makes his way down. Bret congratulates Shawn Michaels on an incredible, epic career. Bret says nobody knows better than he does that Shawn Michaels was one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time. Bret wishes Shawn the very best in the future. Bret says he finally found the closure he was looking for and it was a great feeling to beat the hell out of Vince McMahon at WrestleMania. Bret says the whole entire Hart family beat Vince. Bret says he can feel his mom, dad, Owen and Bulldog looking down from Heaven sending love. An "Owen" chant breaks out. Bret shows that he's wearing a t-shirt with himself and Owen on it. Bret thanks the fans and says these past few months have been great. The crowd pops as Bret waves to the fans. Music hits and out comes the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show and The Miz.

The Miz says Bret is actually proud of his win last night. Miz mocks Bret, calling him a hero. Miz says Bret is a thief. He says Bret coming back has robbed him of his time that he can't get back. Miz says he's sick of hearing about Bret. He says he's the most glorified champion in WWE and if anybody deserves to talk about himself, it's him. Miz says he won his very first WrestleMania match and he's now 1-0... 17 wins away from tying Undertaker. Miz says he is awesome. Miz calls Bret overrated. Miz calls Bret's entire family, including his dad, overrated. Miz calls Bret the most overrated there is, was and ever will be. Miz tells Bret to get out of his ring before his fist gives Bret's face closure. Bret tells Miz to make him leave.

Big Show steps up and gets in Bret's face. The familiar music hits and out comes The Hart Dynasty - Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith and Natalya Neidhart. Big Show and The Miz exit the ring after the Harts come in. Bret takes the mic and asks them where they're going. Bret tells them to come back in the ring so the Hart Dynasty can embarrass them like he did Vince last night. Miz and Show argue about it for a second before heading back to the ring. We go to commercial.

The Hart Dynasty vs. The Miz and Big Show

Back from the break and Smith hits a big standing suplex on Miz for a 2 count. They go back and forth until Miz gets clotheslined over to the floor. Tyson Kidd goes running and Smith throws him over the top onto Miz. Bret and Natalya watch from ringside. Tyson gets a 2 count on Miz. Miz runs around the ring, gets back in and tags in Show. Tyson tries to fight him off but Show throws him off. Show lifts Tyson by his neck and tosses him. Show with another big slam on Tyson. Miz is tagged in and he hits his corner clothesline for a 2 count on Kidd.

Tyson starts fighting Mizz off but gets rammed back in the corner. Big Show is tagged back in and puts the boot to Tyson's neck in the corner. Show with a big chop on Kidd that sends him to the mat. Show applies a huge headlock to Tyson. Miz tags himself in and it surprises Big Show. Miz puts a lock on Kidd but Kidd slides out and tags in Smith. Smith with a big shoulder off the ropes and 2 clotheslines. Smith hits a big powerslam and gets pumped. Kidd comes in and they hit the double team Hart Attack on Miz. Tyson goes for the Sharpshooter and locks it on Miz. Show comes over and asks Miz if he's going to listen to me now. Miz yells and Show pulls him out of the ring to safety. The crowd boo's as the referee starts counting them out. Show and Miz head up the ramp with Show trying to talk some sense into Miz. The Harts win by count out.

Winners by count out: The Hart Dynasty

    - After the match, Bret Hart gets in the ring and celebrates with The Hart Dynasty.

    - We go to another video package of Shawn Michaels' career, focusing on his time with DX.

    - We go backstage where the Hot Tub match is still going on. Everyone is just relaxing in the hot tub with tonight's hosts. The Divas are starting to look pissed. Tiffany says she's creeped out and is leaving. Rosa leaves also. The Bellas are left with the hosts. The other guy from the Hot Tub movie appears on the TV screen. He says someone switched his plane tickets to keep him away from RAW, insinuating that the other hosts did it. He says The Bellas are the winners and can leave the hot tub. He says tonight's hosts have new opponents for the Hot Tub match. Mark Henry appears in a speedo and hops in the tub in between tonight's hosts. They try to leave but Henry tells them to stick around and tell him about Hollywood. Hornswoggle pops up from under the water with a snorkel mask on.

    - We go back to Cole and Lawler, talking about Shawn Michaels. They replay the earlier segment where Triple H was attacked by Sheamus when speaking about Shawn. We go to the ring.

Jack Swagger and Batista vs. John Cena and

Out first comes Jack Swagger with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Swagger takes a mic and says he told everyone last week he was going to win Money in the Bank. Swagger says he was just toying around with John Cena earlier tonight because when he really cashes in, he is the odds-on favorite to walk away with the WWE Title. Swagger's music hits again as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial and out comes Batista to the ring. His music stops and another "you tapped out" chant starts. Out next is the WWE Champion John Cena. Cena comes to the ring as we wait to see who his partner is. Cena takes a mic and says he needs everyone's attention for a major announcement. Cena says he's an old friend of Batista's. Voices starts playing and out comes Randy Orton as Cena's tag team partner.

Batista is pissed at Orton for tagging with Cena. Orton stares Batista and Swagger down as he enters the ring. The bell rings and it's Cena starting things out with Swagger. They lock up and go to the corner. Cena throws him from corner to corner and hits a big suplex. Cena tags in Orton. Orton stares at Batista and starts stomping on Swagger. A "RKO" chant breaks out. Orton hits the mat and gets hype. Swagger sees this and rolls out of the ring to the floor as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Swagger is in control of Cena after a big clothesline from Batista during the commercial. Cena tries to fight out but Swagger hits a suplex for a 2 count. Swagger runs and hits the big splash from the corner for another 2 count. Batista comes in and stomps on Cena and goes to work on the neck. Batista with a kick to the face and a 2 count. - After the match, Cena and Orton exchange a look. Cena grabs his belt and leaves the ring. Orton goes to the top rope and does his trademark pose for the fans to a nice pop.

    - We go to another Shawn Michaels career video. This one focuses on his match against Undertaker at last year's WrestleMania. We take another commercial.

    - Back from commercial and out comes Shawn Michaels for his farewell to the WWE Universe. Before Shawn can speak, The Undertaker's music hits and out he comes to the stage. Taker simply tips his hat to Shawn and walks back to the back. The crowd starts chanting HBK's name. Then they start chanting "please don't go." HBK starts getting emotional.

Shawn says it's going to be tough getting used to not being there every week now. A fan in the crowd is shown crying. A "thank you Shawn" chant breaks out. Shawn thanks the fans. He says for a long time, the fans and the ring was the only thing he had in his life. More fans are shown crying. Shawn says he wants to thank so many people but he's afraid he will forget somebody. HBK says a lot of people will be skeptical of him returning but he says he doesn't want to go back on his word to the fans or his word to Undertaker. Some "Whoo" chants break out. Shawn says he wants to honor his word and do everything in his power to make sure he doesn't wrestle another match. Another "thank you Shawn" chant breaks out. Posted by Mark Virginia on 03/31/2010 at 05:13 PM

According to ProWrestling.net, Ric Flair and Orlando Jordan's new on-air male companion got into a confrontation at a bar after the Impact tapings on Tuesday night.

According to the report, Flair saw the male companion dancing at the bar and got so upset at him being there and being in the TNA locker room in general that he got in the guys face and verbally unleashed on him.

Apparently Jordan's male companion was so shaken by the exchange that he decided to just leave the bar.

[Q1] Footage aired of the Eric Bischoff, Jeff Jarrett, and Mick Foley saga, culminating in last week's Jarrett vs. Foley loser leaves town match. Tonight's show is entitled "V for Vigilante." ...

Jarrett and Hulk Hogan spoke in Hogan's office. Hogan said he respected the professional Jarrett has shown and apologized for Bischoff. He said if Jarrett could defeat A.J. Styles tonight, he would be the number one contender for the TNA Championship after Lockdown...

Black Machismo came in and said he knew Hogan would not be around for the show tonight. He suggested he take over for Hogan tonight. They played off of the Mega Powers history between Hogan and Randy Savage, complete with their delayed handshake...

The opening video aired and fireworks lit up the Impact Zone. Mike Tenay and Taz welcomed us to the show. They ran down tonight's card. The Wolfpac music hit and The Band, led by Bubba the Love Sponge, made their way to the ring.

Bubba said everyone wishes they could be him. He said he doesn't need this job, but if he is going to work for TNA, he is going to hang out with people like The Band. He said no offense to Jeremy Borash or Christy Hemme, but he will interview the legends from this point forward.

Nash took the mic and said he wanted to apologize to Eric Young. He called Young out to the ring. Eric obliged and made his entrance without any music. The crowd chanted "This is boring." Nash said what he did was business and not personal. He offered Young a spot in The Band.

Young attacked all four men but the numbers game took their toll. "Big mistake," screamed Nash. They got the best of Young until Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam made the save. Hardy said they wanted to have the match right now, but they would wait until the main event slot and do it in a steel cage... [C]

[Q2] 1. Kazarian and Shannon Moore defeated Doug Williams and Brian Kendrick in 4:28. The hometowns of wrestlers in TNA are hilarious. Kazarian is from "Southern California." Young is from "Canada." Way to narrow it down guys. Myself, Powell, and Shore are in three different American time zones, but in TNA, we'd all be "from the United States."

Kendrick and Williams worked well together even though Williams badmouthed the X Division wrestlers. Kendrick was impressive on offense. Moore nearly pinned Williams after a top rope hurricarana. A combination move, spin kick by Moore into a German suplex by Kazarian, looked like it broke Kendrick's neck. Moore scored the pin on Kendrick...

After the match, Moore applied black lipstick to Kendrick's face while Williams looked on from the ramp...

Backstage, Bischoff was on the phone before telling his assistant to keep Machismo away from him. He came in anyway and gave Bischoff a card for tonight, consisting of the Killer Bees vs. Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik, Akeem vs. Koko B. Ware, and the JYD vs. King Kong Bundy. Bischoff told him to focus on the main event. Lethal said he would come up with something...

The Pope was shown walking through the backstage area... [C]

[Q3] The Pope made his way to the ring for his promo. He will face Desmond Wolfe later in the show. Pope said his match with Styles at Lockdown is a moment he has been waiting for his entire life. He said Ric Flair tried to jeopardize his chance. He said Flair was a boy fifty years ago and it was time to grow up.

Pope told Styles to go to the Kennedy Center in Florida and steal an astronaut suit because he was going to take him to the outer limits at Lockdown. Okay. Pope gave a Flair-like rhyming line. The crowd chanted "Pope is pimpin'."

Wolfe's valet, Chelsea, made her way to the ring. She said there was one thing Pope could do for her. She said she has always had everything she wanted, but Pope could do something for her. She asked him if she could "be a ho." He asked if she could drive a stick.

Wolfe tried to attack Pope from behind but Pope saw it coming. He cut Wolfe off and left him laying on the floor. He then kissed Chelsea, laid her on the mat, and stuffed a hundred dollar bill in her dress...

Tara was shown walking through the backstage area... [C]

A Samoa Joe sighting! Joe was shivering as he cut a promo in front of a Blair Witch Project camera. He said "They have spoken and the results will be different. Different." ...

Orlando Jordan was lowered from the top of the Impact Zone into the ring. He was wearing police caution tape. He made his way to a couch with his male and female companion waiting for him. They abruptly cut backstage. JB did not know what to make of what we just saw...

JB interviewed Tara backstage. She said tonight's match was not about the TNA Knockout Championship, it was about revenge. Daffney stole Poison and tonight was about blood. Daffney attacked Tara and they brawled backstage.

[Q4] They continued to go at it backstage and Tenay announced their match, for the Knockout Championship, would take place after the commercial break... [C]

The women fought onto the stage and the bell rang to start the match...

    2. Tara defeated Daffney in a First Blood Match to retain the TNA Knockout Championship in 3:29. Daffney dragged Tara to the ring with a camera cord. Daffney broke a broom in half and tried to use it as a spike. They did the "almost poked it through your eye" spot but Tara stopped it. Tara hit the Widow's Peak. She then hit Daffney with a tool box and she barely bled...

After the match, Daffney enjoyed the fact she was bleeding. She licked her own blood off of her finger...

A.J. Styles, Ric Flair, and Chelsea pushing Flair's wheelchair, made their way through the backstage area... [C]

The same video featuring Bischoff, Jarrett, and Foley that aired earlier was shown again. Foley was fired from TNA after losing to Jarrett last week...

[Q5] 3. A.J. Styles (with Ric Flair and Chelsea) defeated Jeff Jarrett in a non-title match in 17:15. Styles countered everything Jarrett did early on, much to the delight of Flair. Jarrett hit a series of moves and strutted while looking at Flair. Styles regained the advantage.

Styles quickly worked on the leg and then put on the figure four leg lock. Jarrett broke the hold and applied one of his own. Flair continued to use his crutch to aide Styles, but the referee sent Flair to the back. From the raised ramp, Jarrett whipped Styles back into the ring... [C]

A.J. was in control coming back from the break. He grounded Jarrett with a reverse chinlock. The crowd chanted for Jarrett as he attempted to fight back and gain control. He hit a very elevated backdrop. He followed with a Pedigree (yes, a Pedigree) for a two count.

[Q6] Styles came back and hit a springboard forearm. I think the referee counted to three but said Jarrett rolled out of the pinfall attempt. Weird spot. Flair was rolled back out. This distracted the referee, who was knocked violently from the apron after an Irish whip.

Jarrett hit a top rope stroke but nobody was around to count the three. Bischoff entered and tried to hit Jarrett with a guitar, but Jarrett stopped him. Styles hit a low blow and the Styles Clash. Bischoff revived the referee and he slowly counted to three...

Young, RVD, and Hardy cut a promo backstage. Young thanked his partners for doing the right thing. Hardy said guys like The Band could not shine his boots. Young asked Nash to look at both teams and wonder who traded up... [C]

Black Machismo stopped Bischoff backstage. He said he booked Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. The Model in tonight's main event. Bischoff said Machismo himself deserved to be in the ring tonight and his match was right now. He sent him on his way...

    4. Black Machismo defeated Beer Money in a handicap match in 2:14. Beer Money toyed with him for the entire match. Storm went to grab a beer and Lethal rolled up Roode with a small package and pinned him. Afterward, Bischoff and Beer Money were livid...

The Pope was shown preparing for his match against Desmond Wolfe... [C]

[Q7] Tenay and Taz talked about the serious situation, in their serious voices, of Matt Morgan injuring Hernandez last week on Impact. They said Hernandez will be out for several months with a neck injury...

    5. Desmond Wolfe (with Chelsea) defeated D'Angelo Dinero in 4:06. Chelsea has been all over the show tonight. She looked pissed when Pope was in control. She looked very pleased when Wolfe took advantage of the match. Wolfe's focus of attack was Pope's shoulder.

Pope came back and hit all of his signature spots. Chelsea stepped on the apron and distracted the referee with her leg. Wolfe went old school and pulled a chain out of his tights. He wrapped it around his fist and knocked out Pope. He replaced it in his tights and scored the pinfall...

They plugged tonight's six man tag main event... [C]

[Q8] Kurt Angle made his way to the ring, much to the surprise of the announce team. He entered the ring, which already was surrounded by the cage. Angle cut a promo on Mr. Anderson. He said he has made a living on winning and playing by the rules.

He said he lost control at the last pay-per-view. He said they would face for the last time at Lockdown. He said the end of the match would have Angle covered in Anderson's blood. Anderson's music hit and he grabbed his house mic from the stage.

Anderson said this feud had to end. He said they've gone back and forth and it will end at Lockdown. He said Eric Bischoff booked a ladder match between Angle and Anderson for next week's Impact. At the top of the ladder, there will be a key to open the lock on the cage at Lockdown.

Anderson said the best man would not win at Lockdown because Angle is a better man than him. He said Kurt was a nice guy but nice guys always finish last. He said, "Thank God I'm an asshole..... Asshole." Anderson left and Angle looked on from the ring stoically...

As Angle made his way up the ramp, the Wolfpac music hit and The Band made their entrance. Nash and Angle did the "Too Sweet" finger high five. Taz reminded us they still respect each other from their time in the Main Event Mafia... [C]

[Overrun] 6. Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam, and Eric Young defeated Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Syxx Pac in a steel cage match in 3:57. The Band attacked their opponents before they entered the cage. They locked Young out of the cage and it turned into a three-on-two match. They used the advantage to enjoy the early advantage.

Hardy and RVD turned the tides though. Young climbed the cage and all three members of The Band were on the mat. RVD and Jeff Hardy hit the Five Star and Swanton respectively from the ropes. Young, from the top of the cage, hit an elbow on Syxx Pac for the win...

Backstage, Abyss cut a promo and picked Jeff Jarrett as the second member of Team Hogan for Lethal Lockdown. Jarrett cut a promo and said he was proud to be on Hogan's team. RVD and Hardy were shown slapping hands with the fans...

    Uitslagen wrestlemania 26

The WrestleMania 26 broadcast opens up with a shot of the crowd at the University of Phoenix Stadium, with jets flying over the open dome of the arena. Fantasia from American Idol sings America The Beautiful with the American Flag on the big screen behind her. Following her performance, the WrestleMania 26 intro video is shown. Back in the arena the fireworks go off and we're welcomed by Michael Cole, Matt Striker and Jerry Lawler. The Titantron looks like a big pyramid of big-screens.

R-Truth & John Morrison vs. Miz & Big Show
R-Truth comes out first, singing his entrance music. The bell rings with Truth and Miz kicking things off. Truth dominates Miz until he tags in Big Show, who drops Truth with a fallaway slam. Big Show climbs to the second rope but Truth drops him off and tags in Morrison. Miz gets the tag and Morrison goes to town on him. He kicks Miz in the face and goes for the Starship but Big Show pulls out Miz. Truth goes for a suicide plancha on Big Show to the outside, but Show catches him and throws him into the ring post.

Back in the ring, Miz and Morrison are facing off. Big Show tags himself in and hits Morrison with the knockout punch and pins him for the 1-2-3.

Winners & still Tag Champs: Big Show & Miz

Ted DiBiase vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton
Orton is in control to at the beginning of the match. Eventually Rhodes and DiBiase team up on Orton. The two-on-one beat down continues for a while and it looks like DiBiase and Rhodes are getting along well. Orton gets his second wind and fights them both off until he eats a clothesline from DiBiase. DiBiase pins Orton, Rhodes breaks it up, and that ruins their partnership as they start exchanging blows. Orton hits a double-DDT off the middle ropes and looks like he wants to punt Rhodes in the head. He hits it, but then DiBiase puts Orton in the Million Dollar Dream from behind. Orton fights out of it, hits the RKO, and pins him for the 1-2-3. After the match, a huge cylinder screen comes into the middle of the ring from the ceiling with Orton's titantron video on it.

    Winner: Randy Orton

Vickie Guerrero is backstage with the heel Divas cutting a promo about WrestleMania being special. She brings out Jillian to sing something. Santino comes in, he bites into a Slim Jim and Jillian turns into Mae Young, he bites again and she turns into Gene Okurlund, he bites again and he turns into Melina, who he is happy with.

Kane chokeslams Bourne out of the ring onto some guys at ringside. Kane powerbombs Kofi into a ladder. "These metal ladders are so dangerous," says Lawler. Christian goes for a Killswitch on Evan Bourne onto a ladder, but Bourne pushes him off and does a shooting star press. Bourne goes for the briefcase but Hardy cuts him short. Hardy hip-tosses Bourne off the ladder. Swagger takes Hardy off the ladder. Hardy starts climbing, Christian climbs another ladder and jumps over to Hardy's latter and starts punching him. Kane starts climbing the other side and sets up for a double chokeslam, but they fight him off and kick him down. Hardy hits a Twist Of Fate on Christian off the ladder.

    Winner: Jack Swagger

We get a little bit of footage, that includes highlights of the inductions of Wendi Richter, Mad Dog Vachon, Stu Hart, Gorgeous George, and Antonio Inoki. We get a little more footage of the inductions of Bob Uecker, which was extremely funny, and Ted Dibiase, which was extremely deserved.

Howard Finkel introduces the newest inductees to the WWE Hall of Fame. A good portion of the Hart family is out to represent Stu Hart. Wendi Richter, Mad Dog Vachon, Antonio Inoki, Bob Uecker, and Betty Wagner (representing Gorgeous George), as well as Ted Dibiase are announced. Triple H vs. Sheamus

Video package airs airs recapping their feud. Sheamus is the first man announced, and he makes his way to the ring to a decent amount of heat from this giant crowd. Triple H is out next, to a huge pop from the crowd. We get an awesome view of Hunter from the ramp that includes a wide shot of the arena, and it just gives you a small idea of how huge this event is.

Based on entrances alone, I don’t know how anyone could think Sheamus has a chance, since Hunter got a freaking light show and tons of pyro, and a crazy in-ring video screen, while Sheamus didn’t even have a sparkler.

Sheamus and Hunter lock up, and Sheamus backs Hunter up into the corner, where he breaks with a shove. He tells Hunter that he’s the future and he’s the Celtic Warrior. Hunter puts Sheamus in the corner, but also doesn’t break clean, slapping Sheamus across the face. Hunter hits a series of right hands and he tries for the pedigree early, but Sheamus is able to fight out of it.

Sheamus sends Hunter into the corner, but quickly eats a dropkick. Hunter hits a suplex, and follows up with a knee, but a cover only yeilds a two count for Triple H. Sheamus rolls to the outside, and Hunter follows, slamming his head into the barricade and sending him back into the ring. Back in the ring, Hunter goes to work on Sheamus’ legs, locking in the figure four. Sheamus is able to get to the ropes to break the hold and he rolls back to the outside.

Sheamus beats on Hunter in the corner, slamming his thigh into Hunter’s head before choking and stomping away at Hunter. Sheamus poses for the crowd to a lot of heat. Sheamus continues the beatdown in the corner on Hunter, being pulled away by the ref. Sheamus and Hunter trade right hands, with Sheamus getting the upper hand with an axe handle to the head. Sheamus tries for the cover but he only gets two.

Hunter is back up and out of the sleeper with a back body drop. Sheamus charges Hunter in the corner but eats a couple of his boots for his trouble. Hunter fights out of a slam and hits a DDT to change the momentum. Hunter and Sheamus trade right hands in the center of the ring, and Hunter gets the upper hand. Hunter hits the high knee and he’s back in this one. Face buster from Hunter is good for a near fall.Hunter ducks a clothesline and tries for a pedigree but Sheamus counters. Hunter hits a neckbreaker that’s good for a two count.

Hunter puts Sheamus on the top turnbuckle and he climbs up, hitting Sheamus. Sheamus ducks out of it, and he tries for the razor’s edge but Hunter fights out. Sheamus tries for his big kick, but Hunter fights out. Pedigree attempt but Sheamus fights out again and he hits his huge kick. Sheamus goes for the pin but Hunter kicks out.

Sheamus picks Hunter up off the mat, and he puts him up on his shoulder, but Hunter fights out and connects with a big spinebuster. Hunter goes for the pin but Sheamus kicks out at two.

Sheamus tries to roll to the outside, but he only gets to the apron. Hunter tries to pick him up, but Sheamus fights him off and connects with a big kick to Hunter’s temple. Sheamus crawls back into the ring and he picks up Hunter. Hunter is playing possum, and out of nowhere he hits the pedigree. Hunter pins Sheamus and he gets the three count.

    Winner: Triple H

They show a video package recapping the CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio feud.

    CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio

CM Punk is the first man out to the ring, with Serena and Luke Gallows in tow, and of course, a mic in hand. Punk still gets a decent reaction from the crowd, probably due to his stellar work. Punk says there’s over 70 thousand weak minded individuals that are so hopped up on pills, they think Rey Mysterio is a super hero. They think their super hero will make the monster go away, but Punk isn’t a monster, he’s a savior, and he can lead everyone to a better place. He can lead by example because he chooses to be drug free, and he chooses to be better than everyone. Mysterio doesn’t have a choice. He will be forced to join the SES, and everyone will have to accept him. One nation, under Punk, with integrity and sobriety for all.

Mysterio’s music hits, and Punk stares down the entrance ramp. Mysterio is finally out, with some crazy contacts that look like cat eyes or something. Mysterio also has a long ponytail hanging from his mask and he’s dressed in baby blue gear with some neon orange streaks. Apparently Mysterio’s attire is inspired by Avatar.

The bell rings and we’re ready to start this one. Gallows and Sarita are stalking around the outside, it distracts Mysterio, and Punk is able to use that to catch Mysterio, sending him to the mat and stomping away on him. Mysterio tries to come back and jumps to the top, but Punk sweeps his feet out from under him. Punk distracts the ref and Serena chokes Mysterio. Punk tries for a baseball slide, but Mysterio flips up, and Punk crotches himself on the ring post. On the outside, Punk gets even by slamming Mysterio into the steel ring steps.

Back in the ring, Punk pounds away on Mysterio and he tries for a pin, but Mysterio kicks out at two. Punk locks in a rear chin lock while the SES cheers on from ringside. Mysterio is able to fight up to his feet and out of the hold where he catches Punk with a quick kick. Mysterio tries for a headscissors, but Punk fights it off, only to eat a springboard seated senton from Mysterio. Mysterio hits a kick to Punk’s face, but Punk is able to surprise Mysterio with a roll up for two. Punk catches Mysterio with a giant kick to the side of the head, but a pin is only good for two.

Punk tries for a series of pins, but it ends with Mysterio flipping out and up onto the ropes, where he comes back with a crazy springboard DDT. Mysterio tries for the pin, but he only gets two. Mysterio kicks Punk into the ropes and tries for the 619, but Punk catches him. Punk tries for the GTS, but Mysterio fights out. Mysterio springboards off the ropes, but Punk catches him in GTS position. Mysterio fights out again and kicks Punk in the head. Mysterio goes to the top and tries for a frog splash, but he misses. Punk tries for the cover but he only gets two.

Punk hits the high knee in the corner, but Mysterio fights out of the bulldog and sends Punk into the ropes. Mysterio tries for the 619, but Serena and Gallows distract him. Punk almost hits the 619, but Mysterio fights out, hits the 619, the springboard splash, and pins Punk.

    Winner: Rey Mysterio

We get a video package recapping the 12+ year Bret Hart and Vince McMahon storyline.

No Holds Barred Street Fight: Bret Hart vs. Mr. McMahon

Vince McMahon is the second entrant in the match. He enters wearing a short sleeved shirt, and he looks pretty damn good for his age. Vince is also carrying a mic in his hand. Vince says Bret is in his ring, at his greatest creation, WrestleMania. Vince says Bret deserves a WrestleMania sized screwing. Vince says he shelled out a lot of bucks and as a result, he bought himself a lot of lumberjacks, and one of them will be a guest referee. Vince says to just remember that Bret screwed Bret, and Vince screwed Bret, and now Vince and Hart’s entire family screwed Bret. The Hart Dynasty makes their way out, along with Hart’s family make their way to the ring with Vince.

The Hart family surrounds the rings, but this is pretty ridiculous since everyone but the Hart Dynasty is in their formal wear from earlier. The women are all in heels and formal dresses, and most of the guys are wearing tuxes, I think only Bruce is wearing jeans. Bruce is in the ring, and he takes off his shirt to reveal a referee shirt.

Bruce Hart doesn’t even take off his sunglasses. Bret can’t believe that his whole family agreed to this. He says there isn’t much he can do, what’s done is done. He says there’s one thing he knows about the Hart family, they got paid up front and their money is already in the bank. Hart says there’s one thing he learned from the Montreal screwjob, and that’s a good old fashioned double cross. The Hart family is united. Hart knew about this coming in, and tonight, at Vince’s greatest creation, it’ll be forever remembered as the night Bret screwed Vince. Bruce and Bret hug, and Bruce starts the match, finally with his glasses off.

Vince begs off, but Hart hits him with a right. Hart beats McMahon all around the ring, in the corner, stomping away at him. Hart chokes McMahon with his foor in the corner. Vince rols outside into the Hart Dynasty, who go to work with a couple of forearms. Hart family members are in to join, and Natalya hits Vince with a big slap. Kidd and DH Smith stomp away at Vince, and Kidd locks in a guillotine choke before hammering away on Vince. DH Smith picks Vince up and Kidd climbs up to the apron. DH Smith picks Vince up, and Kidd goes all the way to the top turnbuckle. Kidd leaps off and hits a top rope Hart attack all the way to the floor, sending Vince McMahon crashing down.

The Harts roll Vince back into the ring, and Bret goes right to work on Vince’s leg. Vince rolls back to the outside, and he tries to crawl under the ring to avoid things, but Kidd and Smith pull him out. Vince has a crowbar in hand when he comes back out and the Hart’s scatter. Everyone calls Vince a coward. Vince rolls back into the ring and he tries to hit Bret with the crowbar, but Bret ducks it, and sends McMahon to the mat, where he continues to beat him down with big elbows. Hart grabs the crowbar and he uses it to clobber McMahon, just wailing away on him.

Hart uses the crowbar to whack McMahon right in the throat, and the Hart family rallies Bret on from the outside, banging on the mat. Hart grabs McMahon’s legs, and the crowd goes NUTS. Hart goes for it, but decides against it, and goes for the crowbar again. Hart whacks McMahon a couple more times before grabbing the legs again. Hart kicks McMahon right in the crotch, and then does it again.

McMahon pleads with Bret, but all it gets him is a couple more kicks to the groin. someone slides a chair into Bret, and he uses it to sit down. Bruce comes over, and Bret actually calls a time out, just to catch his breath. McMahon crawls up to his hands and knees, and Hart is up behind him. Hart picks up the chair, and whacks McMahon across the back, then a second time. The crowd chants for one more, and Bret obliges with another big chair shot. Three more, then another, and another, and Bret is just working Vince over. Three more, another, a thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth all on Vinces legs. Another, and another, and another, jeez, this is crazy. Another, and Vince is just moaning and panting.

Hart grabs the leg and everyone goes crazy. Hart wraps up the legs and pulls McMahon over, successfully locking in the Sharpshooter, which is just a beautiful sight. McMahon immediately taps, but Hart keeps it locked in just for a bit.

    Winner: Bret Hart

After the match, all the Harts get in the ring to celebrate with Bret.

The live attendance is announced as 72,219.

We get a video package about the history between these two men, all the way back to when these two became the WWE Unified Tag Team Champs and Edge injured himself. It also covers Edge’s surprise return at the Royal Rumble (a story broken here at WNW), and the past few weeks that have led up to this match, with Jericho winning the World Heavyweight Championship, and Edge cashing in his Royal Rumble title shot.

    WWE World Heavyweight Title Match
    Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge

The World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho, is out to the ring first with an impressive pyro display. It’s great to watch such a talented wrestler like Jericho walk into WrestleMania with the WHC.

Edge is the next man to make his way out, to a huge pop from the crowd and an impressive pyro display of his own. This match is set to begin, and Canada is extremely proud right now.

Edge and Jericho lock up and start out with some chain wrestling. Jericho locks in a headlock, and when Edge fights out, he hits a shoulderblock. Jericho ducks a couple of clotheslines, but Edge comes back with a big flying lariat. Edge stomps on Jericho in the corner, but when the ref breaks it up, Jericho is able to mount a comeback, putting Edge in the corner and beating on him for a bit. Edge comes back with a back body drop, and he tries for a spear, but Jericho sees it coming and he rolls out to the floor. Edge follows, beats on Jericho for a bit and rolls him back into the ring. On his way back into the ring, Jericho catches Edge with a slap, and a baseball slide to send him to the floor.

Edge rolls back into the ring, and Jericho grabs right for Edge’s legs, hitting a slingshot, slamming Edge’s neck into the bottom rope. Jericho hits a back body drop, and he tries for a cover, but Edge kicks out at two. Jericho locks in a modified rear chin lock, and tells the referee to ask him, but Edge refuses to give up. 10 Diva Tag Match: Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Gail Kim and Beth Phoenix vs. Vickie Guerrero, Maryse, Michelle McCool, Layla and Alicia Fox

Layla, Alicia Fox, Vickie Guerrero, Maryse, and Michelle McCool are out first. Eve Torres, Mickie James, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, and Beth Phoenix are the next team out to the ring, and this one should be a mess. Hopefully it’s kept fairly short as there wasn’t even a video package, because there’s really no history to this match.

Gail Kim and Vickie are going to be starting things out. Guerrero bumps Kim back, so Kim tags in Phoenix. Vickie finds herself in the corner, where she eats a couple of shoulders. Eve tags in and gives her a couple more shoulders. Kim tags in and James tags in, followed by Kelly, and they all pretty much do the same thing, beating on Vickie. Vickie is unfazed though, screaming at Kelly Kelly. A big slap and step up leg drop takes down Vickie, but McCool is in with a Styles Clash. Mickie comes in and hits her big DDT, layla comes in and hits a backbreaker, Kim comes in with a sole food. Everyone is coming in now. Phoenix hits a giant implant buster type move on Alicia, then turns her attention to Vickie.

Phoenix puts Guerrero in the tree of woe, but McCool comes in and clocks Phoenix out of nowhere. McCool sets it up, and talks Vickie into doing a frog splash on Kelly Kelly. Vickie does it, and connects, but has trouble pinning Kelly. She’s finally able to do it, and she gets a pin, scoring the win for her team.

Winners: Vickie Guerrero, Alicia Fox, Michelle McCool, Layla and Maryse

    WWE Championship Match
    Batista (c) vs. John Cena

We get a video package detailing the events of the past few weeks, beginning at last month’s PPV, that led up to this match.

Batista is the first man out to the ring, and he gets what sounds to be a bit of a mixed reaction from the crowd. Batista’s entrance, of course, includes lots of pyro, and himself entering in a lone spotlight.

Cena continues his tradition of overly impressive WrestleMania entrances with another doozie, not quite as impressive as his bajillion look-a-likes entrance though. A group of soldiers, carrying rifles, go into a drill, spinning their rifles and doing all sorts of fancy stuff. The soldiers form themselves into an aisle, and spin their rifles as another walks through them. This happens a second, and third time. Cena’s music hits, and the crowd goes nuts. Cena walks down the aisle, with the air force honor guard air team spinning their rifles as he walks past. Cena charges down to the ring and the crowd is still going wild.

Someone made an awesome ‘South Park’ referencing ‘Batista likes fish sticks’ poster. Batista and Cena lock up, and Batista turns it into a headlock. Cena sends Batista into the ropes, and Batista responds with a big shoulderblock. Cena is back up, and he takes Batista off his feet with a headlock takeover. Batista fights back up to his feet and pushes Cena into the corner, forcing the break. Batista goes right for a punch, but Cena ducks it and goes to work with a couple of blows to the body. Batista responds with a big blow to the back of Cena’s head before picking him up and slamming him in the corner. Batista beats on Cena in the corner, slamming him with a big boot to the head.

Cena beats on Batista in the corner for a bit, and he hits a sort-of bull dog, but when he goes for the pin, he only gets two. Cena tries for the AA, but Batista fights it off, countering with a big DDT. Batista rolls right into the cover, but Cena kicks out at two.

Batista sits Cena up and hits a big kick to Cena’s face, but it’s only good for another near fall. Batista locks in a rear naked choke with a body scissors, trying to wear Cena down. Cena is able to fight up, with Batista on his back, and he forces Batista off his back, and tries to break Batista’s grip. Cena fights out of it, but gets a knee to the back. Cena and Batista exchange right hands, with Batista getting the upper hand with a neckbreaker. Batista gets a near fall. There’s a lot of boos for Cena surprisingly. Batista locks in a front chancery.”

Cena is able to fight up to his feet, and suplexes Batista off of him to break the hold. Batista charges Cena in the corner, but gets a big boot instead. Cena hits a couple of big shoulder blocks, a side belly to back suplex, that gets a lot of heat, and he goes for the five knuckle shuffle, but he ends up eating a spinebuster from Batista instead.

Cena climbs up to the top turnbuckle, and he jumps off, right into a big spinebuster from Batista. Batista picks him up and tries for the Batista bomb, but Cena rolls through and goes straight into the STF. Batista tries for the ropes, but he’s eventually forced to tap. The crowd, who’s been pretty hostile up to this point, cheers pretty loudly.

Winner and NEW WWE Champion: John Cena

After the match, Cena poses with the belt, with a big smile on his face. They show big shots of the crowd, and I’m always just so amazed at how huge the whole event always looks.

We get a video package that’s just extremely well put together, and I’m just as excited for this match as I was to see it last year.

MAIN EVENT: Streak vs. Career: Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels (No DQ or Count Out)

Shawn Michaels is out to the ring first, and he looks pumped up, and extremely excited for someone who could be entering the ring for his last match. The gong sounds, and the crowd goes wild. There’s fire for the entrance, but so far it’s away from the entranceway, thankfully. Taker is lifted up on a platform from the entrance ramp, with lighting from underneath. It’s especially demonic. Taker walks to the ring to a load of cheers, and the fire hits when he’s a good distance away.

Michaels does not look intimidated as Taker gets into the ring and disrobes. Taker and Micheals stare each other down. Michaels drags his thumb across his throat and infuriates Taker. Taker charges Michaels, but Michaels dodges and catches Taker with a couple of chops. Taker comes right back, hanging Michaels up on the top turnbuckle, and splashing Micheals in the corner. Taker goes for old school, but Micheals fights it off. Taker goes up again and he’s able to walk to ropes and connect this time. Taker goes right for the chokeslam, but Micheals fights out of it and kicks at Taker’s knee. Taker fights back with a big right hand. Taker slams Michaels head into the turnbuckle, and he tries for a tombstone, but Michaels fights out and goes to work on Taker’s arm.

Taker tries for a short arm clothesline, but Michaels ducks it, and counters with a not quite solid SCM. Taker is a bit startled. Michaels goes right back to work on Taker’s knee, stomping away at it in the corner. Michaels hands Taker’s leg up on the ropes and just goes to work. Taker fights him off and gets back to his feet, pounding on him in the corner, but HBK kicks right back at Taker’s knee. Taker sends Michaels to the outside with a clothesline over the top ropes, and he teases a dive, but Michaels sees it coming and he comes back in with a shoulder to the knee.

Michaels tries for the figure four, but Taker fights it off and sends Michaels to the outside. Taker hits the crazy leg drop on the apron. Back in the ring, Michaels is right back up and he goes for the figure four, locking it in.

Michaels is wearing down the Undertaker, forcing him to put his shoulders to the mat every now and then. Taker reverses the pressure, rolling himself and HBK over and forcing Michaels to break the hold. Both men are back on their feet and they’re trading chops and punches. Michaels kicks at Taker’s knee, and goes to work with chops, but Taker responds with big right hands. Michaels ducks one and hits some more chops. Michaels hits a flying forearm to Taker, and he kips up, but he walks right into a chokeslam. Taker pins Michaels, but HBK kicks out at two.

Taker tries for a tombstone, but Michaels slithers out of it and locks in the ankle lock. Taker crawls toward the rope, but Michaels pulls him back into the ring and grapevines the leg to add more pressure. Taker again is worn down to where he’s forced to put his shoulders on the mat and force a pinning predicament. Taker is able to use his free foot to kick at Michaels and break the hold.

A medic is down to check on Michaels, but Taker throws him away and tosses Michaels back in the ring for the pin. Michaels kicks out at two! Taker kicks at Michaels and he goes for the Last Ride, kind of connecting, but Michaels gets the pin. Taker kicks out at two. Michaels climbs to the top rope, and he goes for his signature elbow drop, but Taker gets his knees up to block it.

Taker locks in Hell’s gate out of nowhere, but Michaels counters into a pinning predicament, forcing Taker to break the hold. Taker hits Michaels with a big right, but Michaels responds with sweet chin music. Michaels goes for the pin, but Taker kicks out at two.

Michaels tunes up the band again in the corner, but another attempt is blocked by Taker, but buries his boot in Michaels stomach and connects with a proper Last Ride. Taker goes for the cover but Michaels kicks out!

Taker is back to his feet and he immediately tosses Michaels out to the floor. Taker begins taking apart the announce table, pulling out the monitors. Taker is pounding on his knee, trying to knock feeling back in. Taker sets Michaels up for the Last Ride, but Michaels gets out of it and hits SCM, sending Taker on top of the announce table. Michaels goes for SCM again, but it’s blocked and Taker hits a chokeslam instead. Taker picks Michaels up, and connects with a big tombstone. Taker pins Michaels, but Michaels kicks out at two!

Taker pulls down the straps, and he almost jerks his thumbs across his throat, but he decides against it. Michaels climbs up, and Taker tells him to stay down. Michaels crawl up, using Taker to support himself. Michaels drags his thumb across his own throat, and slaps Taker across the face. Taker gets angry, and immediately connects with a tombstone. Taker pins Michaels, and that’s all she wrote.

Winner and 18-0, streak intact: The Undertaker

After the match, Taker stumbles over to the ropes, and uses them to drag himself to his feet. Taker poses in the center of the ring, while an 18-0 graphic comes up and fireworks go off. Fireworks also go off around the top of the arena. Taker starts to get out of the ring, but he stops. He picks up Shawn, shakes his hand and hugs him, then leaves the ring. Shawn is left in the ring to say his farewell to the fans at WrestleMania. He slowly makes his way to the back, shaking hands with several fans sitting by the entrance ramp, before he goes backstage and WrestleMania 26 goes off the air. Not only did Chris Jericho declare that he would retain his World Title against Edge at WrestleMania, but he also promised to end his No. 1 Contender’s career, capitalizing on his adversary’s “inferior DNA” to destroy his Achilles tendon. The Rated-R Superstar answered back with an explosive attack, nearly hitting another Spear on the six-time World Champion before Jericho made his quick retreat.

Will The Ultimate Opportunist walk out of the Grandest Stage of Them All with the World Championship once again around his waist? Or will “the best in the world at what he does” arrange it so he doesn’t walk out at all? (Match preview)

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre, Kane, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin and Dolph Ziggler def. Kofi Kingston, MVP, Christian, Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With just 48 hours until 10 Money in the Bank Ladder Match combatants risk it all for glory at WrestleMania, they locked horns in a monumental Raw vs. SmackDown 10-Man Tag Team Match. But when bedlam took center stage, Drew McIntyre tagged himself into the action and defeated Christian with the Future Shock.

However, when the “Chosen One” tried to make a statement of superiority by climbing the ladder and grabbing the Money in the Bank briefcase after the bell, his nine WrestleMania opponents returned to the ring, knocking him off the ladder before throwing it down on top of him. Who will climb to ultimate triumph at the Show of Shows? (Match preview)

Women’s Champion Michelle McCool, Divas Champion Maryse, Vickie Guerrero, Layla and Alicia Fox def. Beth Phoenix (PHOTOS | WATCH)
SmackDown Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero used her authority to turn her match with The Glamazon into a five-on-one Handicap Match. Although The Fabulous Firebird held her own against incredible odds, Michelle eventually blasted her with a hard kick to the face, allowing Guerrero to tag in for the pin.

But when Guerrero climbed the ropes to attempt a post-– match frog splash, Mickie James - returning from injury – Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim and Eve all stormed to the ring. The arriving Divas cleaned house until only Beth and Vickie were left. As Vickie tried to escape, The Glamazon pulled off her pants, sending the humiliated former SmackDown General Manager running for cover.

Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. R-Truth by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When The Miz tried to get involved in the action, John Morrison quickly thwarted his interference. Big Show attempted a chokeslam on Truth, but ended up the recipient of a double-DDT at the hands of his rapping Superstar and the emerging Guru of Greatness. Though this double-team effect gave The World’s Largest Athlete a disqualification victory, both Superstars ended up laid out on the canvas.

Can R-Truth and John Morrison carry their momentum to WrestleMania as they attempt to capture the Unified Tag Team Championships from Big Show and The Miz?
