Versschillende wrestlers niet blij met de Money in the bank ppv

In light of news that WWE will be holding a Money In The Bank-themed pay-per-view event in a few months, the belief is that annual match has been dropped from WrestleMania. A number of wrestlers are unhappy about the apparent move because participating in WrestleMania results in a huge payday — which they may not be getting now. However, it should be noted that a decision has not yet been officially made as talent have yet to be informed of anything

The Hart Dynasty def. Matt Hardy, The Great Khali & Maria (Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match)
    Edge vs. Batista (No Contest)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In his first singles match in seven months, Royal Rumble winner Edge’s hopes for a victory over Batista were spoiled due to a surprise attack by World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker. And adding insult to injury, Chris Jericho blasted The Rated-R Superstar with a Codebreaker!

Edge vs. Batista ended in No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In his first singles match since winning Royal Rumble, Edge took on the angry Animal, Batista. At first, it looked as though Batista was simply going to walk away from the bout – much like he did in his WWE Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match against CM Punk two weeks ago. However, The Ultimate Opportunist chided The Animal into staying for battle.

When the match carried on, it looked like the Rumble winner had The Animal right where he wanted after a well-targeted spear. However, before The Ultimate Opportunist could capitalize, The Deadman came calling, viciously chokeslamming Edge. The assault was in retaliation for being speared by Edge last week.

Next, Chris Jericho stunned Edge with a brutal Codebreaker. And, this wasn't the first time the two former tag team champions came face-to-face during the night. At the start of the show, Jericho was the recipient of a painful spear. (PHOTOS | WATCH)

Kane def. Dolph Ziggler (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Despite wrapping Kane in a strength-sapping sleeper hold, The Big Red Monster was able to recover and chokeslam Ziggler for the win. After the match, Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre tried to make a statement with an attempted DDT. However, Kane was able to avoid the dastardly deed. On Sunday, both will collide for the coveted Intercontinental Title at WWE Elimination Chamber. (Preview)

Cryme Tyme def. Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With WWE NXT on the horizon, some of the industry’s hottest young Superstars are looking to make their mark. But, free agents Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta were stopped in their tracks when big Shad crushed Barreta with an STO. (More on WWE NXT)

CM Punk & Luke Gallows def. R-Truth & John Morrison (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After John Morrison landed a kick to the steel ring post – instead of intended target CM Punk – The Friday Night Delight was reeling in pain. Seizing the opportunity, Punk went to work on Morrison’s ankle. With Morrison injured, the ref stopped the bout, calling for the bell. However, Punk continued to go after the former Intercontinental Champion. Mayhem then broke loose when R-Truth came to the rescue, followed by Rey Mysterio. Next, Luke Gallows got involved, destroying Truth with the Gallows Pole. In the end, The Straight Edge Society left only carnage in its wake. On Sunday, Punk and Truth will cross paths again in the Elimination Chamber. (Preview)

The Hart Dynasty def. Matt Hardy, The Great Khali & Maria (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In this Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match, it was Natayla who earned the victory for her team by brutally clotheslining Maria. After the destruction, Matt Hardy did the gentlemanly thing by helping his Valentine back to her feet.

Jeff Hardy Update - Returning To TNA - Pissed At WWE
Hardy, who goes to trial on March 17th, was contacted by an international wrestling promotion and told him that due to his indictment he was not allowed to leave the country until his legal issues were resolved.

We can also now confirm that Hardy has decided to go to TNA full-time once/if he is able to clear up these issues. It should be noted that North Carolina drug laws are very strict so we'll see what happens once the case gets going. That could get interesting.

We're told one of the reasons he made this decision to return to TNA instead of a return to WWE was for both the easier schedule and the fact that WWE had CM Punk do a certain segment on TV mocking him after he had been arrested. he was said to be really pissed off over that angle and it was definitely one of the reasons he showed up on the January 4th TNA Monday night iMPACT! telecast.

HBK EN UNDERTAKER NEMEN PAUZE NA WM

Once again, Shawn Michaels is planning on taking time off following WrestleMania. He will then return in August in time for SummerSlam. We'll keep you posted as anything can change.

It also appears that The Undertaker will once again be taking time off following WrestleMania this year as he was pulled from all advertising for the company's annual spring European tour this past week. As noted above, Shawn Michaels is also expected to take time off following WrestleMania so this is two major names leaving for a short period of time.

Evan Bourne & Primo def. Carlito & Chavo Guerrero
    Gail Kim def. Katie Lea
    Rey Mysterio def. Mike Knox

With mere days to go before the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, ring warriors hoped to build momentum on “WWE Superstars” before heading into the grueling event. The show saw Gail Kim prepare for her Divas Championship Match against Maryse by defeating her Raw rival, Katie Lea, while Rey Mysterio got used to facing massive competitors after walking away victorious from a contest against Mike Knox.

Don’t know where to catch “WWE Superstars”? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see “WWE Superstars” on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.

Rey Mysterio def. Mike Knox (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In a matter of days, Rey Mysterio will push his body to the limit against five other Superstars in an Elimination Chamber Match with the World Heavyweight Championship hanging in the balance. While other ring warriors might have used the days preceding the match to rest up, The Master of the 619 took the opportunity to hone his wrestling acumen against a particularly imposing opponent: Mike Knox. Though the massive SmackDown Superstar possessed a definitive size and strength advantage, The Ultimate Underdog prevailed with a 619, gaining momentum heading into Sunday’s Elimination Chamber.

Gail Kim def. Katie Lea (PHOTOS | WATCH)
This Sunday’s pay-per-view will not only feature two Elimination Chamber Matches for the WWE and World Heavyweight Titles, the WWE Universe will also get to welcome a new Divas Champion, after Gail Kim and Maryse compete for the vacant title. Before she could make it to Elimination Chamber however, Gail had to face off against Katie Lea on “WWE Superstars.” But despite The Scarlet Witch’s impressive wrestling know-how, Gail persevered, defeating her opponent and sending a clear message to Maryse.

Evan Bourne & Primo def. Carlito & Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS | WATCH)
“WWE Superstars” opened with a tag team match featuring four Raw ring warriors who are among the most exciting Superstars competing today. Chavo Guerrero teamed with Carlito to take on The Southpaw from San Juan’s younger brother, Primo & Evan Bourne. Though the match saw a tremendous struggle between Los Bros. Colon, eventually it was “Air” Bourne who carried the day, defeating Guerrero with his awe-inspiring Shooting Star Press.

Dixie Carter Talks About Competing With WWE, Making New Star

TNA President Dixie Carter spoke to Brian Fritz of FanHouse.com this week about iMPACT!'s upcoming move to Monday nights on March 8th. Dixie spoke about what it's going to be like competing with WWE head on every single week. She knows TNA is playing a high stakes game, but sounds ready to lead her company into battle. Here are some highlights of what she said about:

How Everything Came Together: Dixie Carter: Well, we've talked about a move to Monday nights for a while, since, for over a year and it just seemed like the time was right. When I knew Hulk Hogan was coming on board, I just kind of put a halt to that and just thought how great would it be for the first time he debuts on our show, to let that be the first time we go to Monday night and the timing turned out perfect.

The Pressure of Competing Against WWE: You know, I don't think of it that way. The days that were so hard, that was pressure. There used to be a lot of pressure. I don't feel that pressure anymore. I've always handled it really well because there have been some very hard times in this company. And we still that little engine that could. This is a David vs. Goliath story if I've ever heard it and we are just so excited and so filled with energy but don't have such expectations that they will be failures if we don't meet them. We need to stay steady and continue to grow this.

Hulk Hogan's Role in TNA & Making New Stars: "It has been the best decision I ever made. I don't think I've ever had one conversation with Hulk Hogan about Hulk Hogan. Every conversation I have with him is about the other TNA talent we have and how can we make them better and how can we make them household names. People are just starting to see the very tip of this man's genius in some of these things that we are going to make stars who have worked so hard to get to a certain level and truly take that next big step."

    UPDATE JIM ROSS EN TNA

Eric Bischoff is still intent on bringing Jim Ross into TNA as an announcer. After many months of speculation as to what hed do when his WWE contract expired, Ross signed a short-term extension back in December and is expected to be with WWE through mid-2010. That said, the face of the pro wrestling industry is sure to change this year, with TNA going to Monday nights on March 8th, so who knows what the future holds. It should also be noted that TNA pushed hard to recruit the WWE hall of famer for iMPACT!'s three-hour live show on January 1st.

With that being said, Mike Tenay, who has been with TNA since day one, is said to be paranoid over his position with the company due to the fact that people within the organization have attempted to recruit Jim Ross as his replacement. Although it should be noted that Tenay is considered by many in the company to be paranoid in general, but the company's shift in power has made him more leery than usual.

VOORMALIG TAG TEAM CHAMPION KEERT NAAR FCW

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Domino appeared at last night's Florida Championship Wrestling event, squaring off against FCW Champion Justin Gabriel in the main event.

Gabriel was informed that his opponent for the evening would be a former WWE title holder. Domino came out to his former "Deuce 'n Domino" theme music and said he was to now be called Cliff Compton.

Gabriel beat Compton by disqualification after Wade Barrett attacked the FCW Champion. Michael Tarver then hit the ring to attack Barrett. FCW Lieutenant General Manager Norman Smiley then made a tag match involving all four men. Gabriel and Tarver defeated Compton and Barrett after Tarver knocked out Compton and Gabriel pinned him.

It remains unknown whether WWE has re-signed Compton. He was released from his contract on August 8, 2008.

They do the opening for the show and D'Angelo Dinero comes out. He says that there is a party going on the Impact Zone. The crowd chants "Pope is pimpin'". Pope says that he overcame the odds and is the number one contender. He says he only has two people standing in his way from achieving more greatness. He says that A.J. will never be as good as the Pope and at Lockdown, he will be the next TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Ric Flair's music plays Flair and A.J. come to the ring accompanied by four ladies. Flair asks if Pope can read and write because Pope called him 'dick flair'. He says he was bling before there was bling and 'unless you're tiger woods or Michael Jordan, you don't tell me nothing'. Flair puts over A.J. as the best athlete alive.

Pope gets the mic 'our name may be Ric, but in Pope's eyes, you're a dick.' He says that Flair can dress up a piece of crap as nice as he wants but at the end of the day it is still a piece of crap. Flair calls Pope a street thug. Pope and flair threw a few insults at each other. A.J. gets on the mic and mentions that he has yet to see Pope with a woman. He throws a couple more insults at Dinero before Dinero hits Styles and Flair. Eventually Flair and Styles get the upper hand and lay out Dinero. Flair grabs a chair and wraps it around Pope's ankle before stomping on it. A.J. puts the figure four on Dinero until the security team comes out to chase off Styles and Flair.

Tara defeats Daffney by disqualification in a Non Title Match. Daffney got disqualfied after hitting Tara with a tool box. Daffney continued to attack Tara and put a guardrail on top of Tara and hit the guardrail repeatedly with a chair. This continued until Stevie Richards took Daffney to the back.

Orlando Jordan defeats Samoa Joe with a lungblower. Joe had Jordan in the rear naked choke, but Jordan was able to counter it into the lungblower.

A video package was shown of Eric Bischoff telling Abyss that he is going to be unmasked tonight.

Kaz, Amazing Red, and Generation Me defeated Doug Williams, the Motor City Machine Guns, and Brian Kendrick when Kaz pinned Williams.

It is announced that Abyss will be wrestling Jeff Jarrett with the stipulation if Jarrett does not use the barbed wire baseball bat, Jarrett will be gone from TNA.

Abyss versus Jeff Jarrett goes to a No Contest. During the match, Eric Bischoff comes out to watch the match. Jarrett almost uses the barbed wire bat, but he refused. Bischoff gets on the mic and says that he knew he could not trust Jarrett. Bischoff calls out his guys (Rhino, Raven, Tomko, Homicide, and Desmond Wolfe). They attack Abyss and Jarrett. Bischoffs men hold Abyss and Hogan comes out but instead of unmasking Abyss, he tells Abyss to go to his office.

Beer Money defeats Rob Terry and Brutus Magnus with the DWI on Magnus. After the match, Brutus calls out Terry for always messing up and then he slaps Magnus. Magnus tells Terry that he should be the Global Champion. Rob gives the belt to Magnus and then attacks Magnus and gives Magnus a clothesline. Terry poses with the belt.

On the screen, they show Abyss in Hogans office. Hogan tells Bischoff to get out of the office. Hogan calls Abyss a monster and then he shows Abyss his Hall of Fame ring and calls the ring his life. Hogan puts the ring in Abyss hand and says that Abyss will be a God. Abyss screams with joy at what Hogan just told him.

Kurt Angle beat Daniels via ankle lock. After the match, Kurt gets on the mic and he says that he can admit that he lost, but the fact that Anderson used the tags was a sign of disrespect. Angle says that he had an appearance a while back at an army base in Texas. One soldier came up to him and told Angle that he believed in him. Angle reads the inscription off of the back of one of the tags. When Anderson cut him on Sunday, he didn't make Angle bleed, he made those soldiers bleed. When Anderson spat on the tags, he spat on those soldiers. For that, he will make Anderson suffer. 'I will make you bleed until there's nothing left. Ken Anderson, I will see you in hell.'

Anderson comes out to the ramp and he welcomes Kurt to hell. He sarcstically says that he is very touched and moved. He is amazed at Angles abilities to suck up to the people. He just thinks that Kurt just wants a pat on the back. He sees the tags as nothing more than a utensil to carve Angle up. Anderson calls Kurt up the ramp and the two fight at the top. Anderson kicks Angle low and hits Angle with the mic and welcomes him to Total Nonstop Anderson.

Eric Young and Kevin Nash come to the ring and Nash says that when he is in the back, he is used to being called brother. He says that years ago, Rick Rude told him about two things in this business and that was money and miles. He says that you can choose your friends and then he called out Hall and Waltman.

Hall and Waltman come to the ring through the crowd. Young goes after Waltman and he takes care of Waltman. Hall stared at Nash from the apron before getting in the ring. Hall and Nash brawled until security comes out to stop them.

Hogan comes out to the stage and he stares at Hall and Waltman.

Chris Jericho responds to warrant report

Chris Jericho responds to warrant report
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 02/16/2010 at 03:21 PM

Shortly after news broke, courtesy WCPO in Kentucky, that a warrant had allegedly been issued for Chris Jericho's arrest, the WWE Superstar reportedly resolved the issue.

Outlets said a bench warrant was issued Tuesday after Jericho supposedly no-showed his court hearing related to a January public intoxication charge. Fellow WWE Superstar Gregory Helms, who was arrested alongside Jericho on the same charge, paid his $159 fine in a timely fashion.

According to TMZ, Jericho called into the court early Tuesday afternoon and agreed to pay the fine, so the arrest warrant is no longer in effect.

In a Twitter update Tuesday afternoon, Jericho denies he encountered any issue with the court: "Paid my fine on time and never had a court date. I'm free to walk the streets...Sorry, TMZ, wrong again."

Unified Tag Team Champions The Miz & Big Show def. Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust (Title Match)
Ezekiel Jackson def. ECW Champion Christian (Extreme Rules Title Match)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The WWE Universe bid an emotional, historic farewell to ECW on Syfy from the Sprint Center Arena Tuesday night. But as WWE closes the door on the Land of the Extreme, we’ll soon say hello to the new evolution of reality television with the debut of WWE NXT.

Ezekiel Jackson def. ECW Champion Christian (Extreme Rules Title Match) (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It took Ezekiel Jackson months, but The Guyanese Goliath and his mentor, William Regal, finally accomplished what they set out to achieve on ECW on Syfy – total domination. In the final ECW match, Big Zeke conquered ECW Champion Christian under Extreme Rules, becoming the last Superstar to ever hold the ECW Title. (WATCH: Christian's ECW goodbye)

But during the most important match of Big Zeke’s career, several ECW Superstars and Divas tried to stand in his way. A meddling Zack Ryder and his girlfriend, Rosa Mendes, wanted to interfere, as The Long Island Loudmouth was jealous he didn’t earn another chance at the ECW Title. After Christian hit Ryder with a steel trash can, Rosa slapped Christian in the face. Then ECW General Manager Tiffany became involved, quieting the intrusive Rosa by shockingly tossing her to the mat. (WATCH: Ryder & Rosa interrupt Tiffany) And as always, longtime ECW Champion Christian fought Big Zeke with all of his heart and soul. Captain Charisma hit Regal with a Killswitch, but lost the brutal Extreme Rules Match after The Guyanese Goliath tossed him through a table.

In the end, no one could stop Jackson on his quest for ECW domination, not even Christian. Now that the ECW Title is retired, the WWE Universe is left to wonder where Big Zeke will wreak havoc next.

Unified Tag Team Champions The Miz & Big Show def. Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust (Title Match) (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After defeating Trent Barreta & Caylen Croft last week, Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust had their hearts set on departing the Land of the Extreme with the Unified Tag Team Championships firmly around their waists. But the duo of The Miz & Big Show was too tough and tricky for ECW’s odd couple, as Show-Miz stole a win to retain the Unified Tag Team Titles. After Big Show sent Tatsu over the top rope, he punched Goldust in the ribs while the referee’s attention was diverted, assisting United States Champion The Miz, who hit The Bizarre One with his Skull-Crushing Finale for the tag team victory.

“The Abraham Washington Show” (PHOTOS | WATCH)
WWE’s critically-acclaimed talk show host, Abraham Washington, saved his biggest guest for the final episode of ECW – himself. But before Washington could brag too much about becoming a rich free agent in WWE, he was interrupted by several ECW Superstars who had plenty to say about their futures in WWE.
