Results: Handing notice By Alissa Fuhrman August 3, 2007PHOENIX SmackDown kicked off on a happy note Friday night, when General Manager Theodore Long and his sexy fiancée, Kristal, announced in the ring that on September 21, they will declare their vows on the show thats changed Friday nights, and all our fans are invited to attend. But then Teddylicious and Kristal were interrupted by The Great Khali and his translator, Ranjin Singh, who stormed out to complain how his Punjabi Championship Celebration had been ruined the week before by Batista. An irate Long put his managerial foot down, ordering the giant World Heavyweight Champion to put his title on the line against The Animal at SummerSlam. So the angered 7-foot-3 monster later took his frustrations out by disrupting Batista & Ric Flairs non-title match against WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce & Domino. And the Nature Boy would feel the frightening fury of the colossal champion and his newest hand-weapon, a devastating claw to the skull. Read the full story
Determined to prove hes better than the brash and cocky Montel Vontavious Porter, Matt Hardy declared his first challenge against the United States Champion: An arm wrestling competition. Despite MVPs stalling tactics, a focused Matt eventually forced the Franchise Playas arm down on the table for the win. The aggravated hotshot claimed that hes still better than Matt because he wasnt ready, and he can still beat him where it counts: Wrestling. Yet when it looked like he might lose the intense non-title match that immediately took place, the United States Champion bailed with the gold, resulting in a count-out win for Hardy. More on this story
Frustration certainly was the recurring theme of the evening, and Jamie Nobles night proved no different. After Funaki and Shannon Moores arena hallway taunts of how Noble lost to the only Superstar shorter than him, the cruiserweight physically vented his outrage on Moore inside the squared circle, utilizing a ferocious gutbuster to score the pinfall. Shortly after the victory, Nobles worst nightmare popped out from beneath the ring. Hornswoggle, the miniature Cruiserweight Champion of the World, taunted Noble with the gold and laughed in his face before slamming it with a huge cream pie.
Former Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero had also been in a taunting mood, expressing to Vickie Guerrero how much he was looking forward to Rey Mysterios return at SummerSlam as a one-legged wrestler. SmackDowns Assistant G.M. wasnt in a laughing mood, however, so she put her nephew-in-law in equally poor humor -- by naming Chavo as Reys opponent at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
Meanwhile, Mark Henry explained to unfortunate opponent Nate Nickerson why he thinks he rules the SmackDown jungle. Vehemently taking out the local wrestler with an excruciating bear hug, Henry then showed our fans why no one has answered his open challenge to step into the ring with him, presenting footage of his vicious assault on Undertaker last May, which cost The Phenom his World Heavyweight Title and placed him on the shelf indefinitely.
In other SmackDown action, Kane a monster whos eager to accept anyones challenge squared off against Chris Masters. While The Masterpiece nearly pulled off the upset by clamping Kane in his powerful Master Lock, the Big Red Machine escaped the hold and sealed Masters fate with an emphatic chokeslam.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Wang Yang, accompanied down the ramp by Torrie Wilson, went one-on-one with Kenny Dykstra, who was joined by Victoria at ringside. After hitting his top-rope moonsault for the victory, SmackDowns resident redneck and the beautiful Diva yee-hawed all the way to the locker room area, leaving an audibly heated Dykstra and Victoria in the ring.

In the end it was Cage, Styles and Tomko using the numbers game to their advantage that is until The Punisher Andrew Martin made his TNA debut and help Sting and Abyss win the match! As a result, Abyss gets to pick the match of his choice against Cage what will his decision be? Tune in Thursday night to find out!

CM Punk def. Elijah Burke and Tommy Dreamer (Triple Threat Match)

A chance for fame
By Andrew Rote
July 31, 2007
PHOENIX John Morrison kicked off ECW on Sci Fi much like last week, barely breaking a sweat when he faced a less-than-intimidating opponent in his 15 Minutes of Fame Challenge. Things were very different afterward, however, this time around.
Tommy Dreamer and CM Punk both approached the ECW Champion, arguing that each of them could last 15 minutes in the ring with Morrison. Their cases made, Morrison announced a Triple Threat Match between the two Superstars and Elijah Burke a man he feels deserves the opportunity.
Next weeks action should prove interesting, with CM Punk earning his way into the ECW Championship picture by defeating Tommy Dreamer and Elijah Burke in the main event Triple Threat Match. CM Punk has had two golden opportunities against John Morrison, both of which fell short at Vengeance: Night of Champions and The Great American Bash. Before he can prove that the third time is a charm, though, he must last 15 minutes in the squared circle against his rival. And this will be his last chance, as he has promised never to challenge Morrison again if he fails this time around.
Also on ECW on Sci Fi, Stevie Richards silenced any of his critics who called the previous weeks win over Kevin Thorn a fluke. Getting a second consecutive win against the fanged freak raises a red flag for all Superstars on the ECW roster. While Richards moves up as one of the hottest Superstars in sports-entertainment right now, Kevin Thorn is lying in a coffin of frustrations. His expression alone showed our fans what the vampire enthusiast is feeling, losing two straight to the ECW Original after such a successful solo run. Perhaps Richards truly has staked the creature of the night.
Following Richardss big win, our fans learned that something can scare a 400-plus-pound man. After proving to be too much for even three men to handle in a Handicap Match, Big Daddy V was spooked by Boogeyman, sporting a new and scarier look, when the worm aficionado rushed into the ring. While nothing may compare to the physical stature of the heavy father figure, Boogeymans mind games certainly have been able to break Matt Strikers favorite student.
In other action, The Miz earned his second win in as many weeks when he defeated ECW Original Balls Mahoney. Once again, he showed he was the ladies man, though he lost track of Kelly Kelly for a moment, who seemed distracted by Mahoneys condition. Nevertheless, The Miz was able to get her attention away from the Chair Swinging Freak and back to him.
Dont miss what ensues with CM Punk and his latest championship opportunity Tuesday on ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT.

Results: Mind games before SummerSlam By Bryan Robinson July 30, 2007TUCSON, Ariz. Less than four weeks away from the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam, Superstars were already playing mind games with each other and appeared hell-bent on sending messages throughout the locker room and all of WWE. But Cody Rhodes may have sent the most definitive message with his first victory Monday night on Raw: I belong in WWE and I will not back down from anything, no matter what the odds are.
Cody breathed a sigh of relief and pumped his fist as he looked at the fallen body of Daivari with his blackened eye. For two weeks, our fans and especially Acting Raw GM Jonathan Coachman watched Cody valiantly try to defend the honor of his father, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes and his family against Randy Orton, only to fall victim to the RKO. And Cody watched in horror as Orton punted his father into oblivion and the Dream was taken away from the ring on a stretcher.
Coachman, noting that Cody was winless in his first two matches, gave the newcomer a simple ultimatum: win or go home. Prove that you belong in WWE and win an official spot on the Raw roster with a victory over Daivari.
The pressure on the youngest son of Dusty Rhodes was enormous. Besides having his young career already at a critical point, his ailing father who was at home in Austin, Texas, recovering from a severe concussion had to weigh on his mind. In addition, Cody may have carried some lingering guilt that he was he was responsible for his fathers injury.
However, the son of the son of a plumber showed the heart and resolve that was a hallmark in his fathers career. He overcame his personal demons and self-doubt and managed to defeat Daivari, and showed the Raw locker room that he had arrived. Also on Raw, Randy Orton, Coachmans handpicked No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship, used Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter and Carlito to send a loud and clear message to WWE Champion John Cena: Im coming for your championship and your career at SummerSlam, but before then, Im going to make your life a living hell.
On the heels of his brutal attack on the American Dream, the third-generation Superstar laid out Cena with an RKO from behind last week, drawing the line in the proverbial sand for their SummerSlam showdown.
To further show Cena that he was serious, Orton this week struck down another WWE legend, Sgt. Slaughter, the same way he has his other recent victims with a vicious skull-caving boot to the head. Read the latest on Sarge's condition here ...
But Orton wasnt finished playing with Cena as he later cost him his non-title match against Carlito. The second-generation Caribbean Superstar wanted to prove that he deserved to be the No.1 contender by defeating Cena. Ironically, Orton helped Carlito prove his point when he distracted Cena and left him vulnerable to the Caribbean Superstars Backstabber.
Carlito left Cena with chewed-up apple and spit dripping off his face. It appears that the infuriated Champ has a lot to think about, and must be wary of Orton in the weeks leading up to SummerSlam. Read the full story ...
Another Superstar Cena may have to worry about is Mr. Kennedy, who also wanted to be the No. 1 contender. Kennedy made perhaps his loudest statement yet in WWE (and thats saying something). The braggadocios Superstar, who vowed to WWE.com over the weekend that he would somehow find a way to reclaim his top spot in WWE, was granted a request to battle Bobby Lashley to show that he deserved to be the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship. Read the full story ...
There was a fire in Kennedys booming voice and a gleam in his eyes that few of our fans and Superstars had ever seen in the Green Bay, Wis., native. The former Mr. Money in the Bank wanted to prove a point, and he sure did in his battle with Lashley. Kennedy did the unthinkable he injured the powerful former ECW Champion, who nearly ended Cenas nearly year-long championship reign at The Great American Bash.
Two rivals specifically royal rivals who failed to find a real resolution in their battle over the title King in WWE were King Booker and Jerry The King Lawler. The time for squabbling ended Monday night on Raw as Booker and Lawler attempted to once and for all settle the debate over who was true king of WWE in the squared circle. But alas, though Lawler won by disqualification after Booker refused to stop punching him in the corner, Mondays battle between these regal rulers settled nothing. Monday nights encounter assured only one thing: Booker and Lawler are far apart from a diplomatic solution to their royal war. Read the full story ...
As kings in WWE, both Booker and Lawler love law and order in their kingdoms. And so apparently, does Santino Marella as long as it benefits him. Last week on Raw, Marella had used questionable tactics to help his paramour, Maria, and Womens Champion Candice Michelle get the victory in a tag team match, but Maria made him promise never to do that again.
This week, Marella was outraged when Melina, Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix used chicanery to defeat Maria, Candice & Mickie James. The fiery Italian berated the referee and suggested that WWE had crooked referees, like the alleged ones in the NBA. As Santinos tirade continued, Intercontinental Champion Umaga who has never forgiven or forgotten Marellas upset win for his championship months ago stomped his way to the ring. The ref, against Marellas protests, rang the bell for an impromptu match, which the Samoan Bulldozer won in devastating fashion.
One team who looked impressive this week on Raw and may be looking to send a message in the tag team division is Cryme Tyme. The duo from Harlem, N.Y., returned after weeks of absence with a win. As is typical Cryme Tyme style, Shad and JTG brought a smile to our fans faces when they made some money, money yeah, yeah! after selling one of the boots of their hapless opponents to a member of the Raw fan nation.
News And Video From Thursday's "iMPACT" On SpikeTV Impact Results
July 27th, 2007 10:40 NEWS AND VIDEO FROM THURSDAYS HUGE iMPACT! BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV By Bill Banks
There are several major news items to report from Thursdays huge iMPACT! broadcast on SpikeTV as TNA prepares for Hard Justice live on Pay-Per-View on Sunday, August 12!
CAGE, TOMKO AND STYLES BLOODY STING AND ABYSS In the main event of the broadcast, it was Abyss taking on The Phenomenal AJ Styles in a No Disqualification match. However, the odds were against Abyss when Christian Cage, Tomko and Styles began to brutalize their nemesis. Sting attempted to make the save for his friend, but it was too much for Sting and Abyss. After a mysterious arm dragged Abyss under the ring, Christian and his crew annihilated Sting in the ring even slamming him into a pile of glass! When Abyss emerged from under the ring, he was a bloody mess. Cage, Tomko and Styles then smashed Abyss into his own thumbtacks! Certainly, Cage and his crew have taken the war against Sting and Abyss to a while new barbaric level of violence
TEAM 3D VS. THE STEINER BROTHERS ANNOUNCED FOR HARD JUSTICE! Also on iMPACT!, The Steiner Brothers answered the challenge by Team 3D to meet them face-to-face on the broadcast. The two legendary tag teams once again verbally bashed each other with Brother Ray calling into question Scott Steiners recent injury and Big Poppa Pump returning fire by mocking Team 3D. However, the Voodoo Kin Mafia interrupted the face-to-face, claiming there was another legendary tag team that the Steiners and 3D forgot about! VKM eventually attacked both teams leading to the Latin American Xchange hitting the ring for an all-out brawl. TNAwrestling.com has learned that the match is now official for Hard Justice as it will be Team 3D taking on The Steiner Brothers!

FRESNO, Calif. Indian music enveloped the Save Mart Center in Fresno Friday Night, as there was a Punjabi Championship Celebration for the new World Heavyweight Champion, The Great Khali. The giant, along with translator Ranjin Singh, plus numerous dancers and worshippers from India, partied Punjabi-style inside the ring that is, until Batista came to crash the party. The Animal who dominated earlier that evening in singles competition against WWE Tag Team Champion Deuce never took his rage-filled eyes off the 7-foot-3 monster as he challenged him to a one-on-one match for the World Heavyweight Championship. When Khali rejected his request, Batista exploded and speared the champion.
Another enraged SmackDown Superstar was Jamie Noble, who on Friday night was given another chance at the Cruiserweight Title and an opportunity for revenge against the newest and littlest champion to date, Hornswoggle. After the humiliation Hornswoggle had caused Noble at The Great American Bash, pinning him to win the title in the Cruiserweight Open, Noble was certain he would take the gold out of Hornswoggles miniature hands. But in the long run, Noble came up short again as SmackDowns leprechaun outsmarted him by winning via a count-out.
In other SmackDown action, North Carolinians Matt Hardy and Ric Flair were Ballin after defeating United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter and Chris Masters in tag team action. After the loss, MVP pointed out that since he wasnt the one who was actually pinned by Matt, he still is better than him. The frustrated Hardy then made some demands of his own, telling SmackDowns Franchise Playa to put his money where his mouth is and grant him a rematch for the United States Championship. When the hotshot champion insisted that his title was off the table, Matt proposed another challenge:
I'll name the game, and Ill beat you again and again and again and again . Ill beat you so bad, youll have to defend the United States Championship against me. And when you do, I will prove Im better than you.
Meanwhile, dressed head-to-toe in cowboy boots, tight jeans and cowboy hats, the beautiful Torrie Wilson teamed up with SmackDowns resident redneck, Jimmy Wang Yang, for intergender tag action against Victoria & Kenny Dykstra. Catapulted to victory after an impressive moonsault by Yang, the two Superstars yee-hawed all the way to the locker room area.
Even though former Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero couldnt retain his title at The Great American Bash, he still has quite a mean streak, judging from the way he handled Eugene. Despite SmackDowns wrestling savant displaying some impressive in-ring maneuvers, in the end it wasnt enough to stop the methodically malicious Guerrero from scoring the pinfall.
Kane, meanwhile, showed our fans and Dave Taylor just how much he relishes inflicting pain, defeating the brash Brit in a matter of minutes with an emphatic chokeslam. Mark Henry picked up an even quicker victory, however, by viciously destroying Joey Blalock with one of his brutal bearhugs. The self-proclaimed king of the SmackDown jungle then roared to the crowd that no Superstar on the SmackDown roster could beat him.

Results:The face of extreme
By Andrew Rote
July 24, 2007
FRESNO, Calif. ECW Champion John Morrison may be the new face of Extreme, but that face formed into a grimace when CM Punk pinned Elijah Burke in the main event of ECW on Sci Fi.
Though CM Punk fell just short of attaining gold at The Great American Bash, he had a chance for some redemption Tuesday night. In a match that featured Punk teaming up with ECW Original Tommy Dreamer to take on two young, cocky Superstars in Morrison & Burke, the Straightedge Superstar prevailed. It seems Punk has Burkes number, covering him for the three-count in the second straight week, but the number he really wants is John Morrisons. He may not have that quite yet, but if the look on Morrisons face after the loss is any indication, perhaps the determined Punk has taken the first step toward that goal.
Morrison kicked off the evening boasting the ECW Championship that still adorned his waist two days after retaining it at The Great American Bash. Introduced as the new face of Extreme, the champion offered a 15 Minutes of Fame Challenge to anyone who would face him. Morrison shortened that block of time to only about one minute, but anyone who can earn 15 minutes without being pinned will receive a championship opportunity.
Also on ECW on Sci Fi, Kevin Thorn looked like he thought Stevie Richards would be an easy meal. Richards, however, overcame a contest mostly dominated by the vampire enthusiast, winning his way toward being a true threat for the ECW roster.
Mike Mizanin may be a force worth taking seriously, as well at least in terms of cornering the market for dates. The Miz had an unforgettable night, notching a win against Nunzio and continuing to mold the hearts of Extreme Exposé.
Big Daddy V had an unforgettable night of his own, dominating in a Handicap Match and making his teacher, Matt Striker, very proud. According to Striker, Big Daddy V has disposed of Boogeyman, who has been missing in action since being forced to trade in his worms for a mouthful of chalkboard two weeks ago. Thanks to his favorite student, Striker and Big Daddy V can sleep soundly at night without fear of what may be lurking in their closets or can they?
Dont miss what develops on the next ECW on Sci Fi on Tuesday at 10/9 CT.

One bad apple leads to Dominator destruction
By Corey Clayton
July 23, 2007
SACRAMENTO, Calif. Lesson No. 1 for Carlito: Watch where you spit.
Learning that earlier would have saved the Caribbean Superstar a world of hurt at the hands of the Dominator, Bobby Lashley.
In what seemed to be an accident, Carlito spit a bad-tasting apple bite right into Lashley, who was walking by in the Arco Arena hallway. As Lashley turned to confront the fruit-spewing Superstar, Carlito ran out to the ring and begged the fuming Lashley for forgiveness.
But coming off a night where he nearly became the new WWE Champion, Lashley didnt seem to be in a very forgiving mood.
As Lashley approached, Carlito took the first shots at the former Army sergeant, whipping the former ECW Champion into the ring steps. But using his amazing athleticism, Lashley leaped over the stairs, and chased down Carlito. Carrying him back into the ring, Lashley delivered a powerful Dominator to the wily Caribbean Superstar, leaving him looking up at the arena lights as the Sacramento crowd roared in approval.
In other action:
In a Champions Only Match set up by Raw Acting General Manager Jonathan Coachman, WWE Champion John Cena was able to fight off the World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch and the Intercontinental Champion Umaga, to earn a pinfall victory for himself and terrified teammate, Womens Champion Candice Michelle.
But with Cena down, Umaga stalked Michelle and trapped her in a corner of the ring. With Cade and Murdoch holding the Womens Champion down, Jeff Hardy ran in with a steel chair and attacked Umaga, saving Michelle from certain doom.
As Hardy blasted the Samoan Bulldozer with repeated chair shots, Cena recovered to battle the Redneck Wrecking Crew. Cena sent Lance Cade into the ring post, followed by his partner. The Champ then slammed Murdoch with an FU and picked up the pinfall.
As The Champ celebrated a near-impossible win, he failed to see Randy Orton standing behind him. As Cena turned, the newly-announced No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship delivered a crushing RKO, leaving the Chain Gang commander stunned on the mat.
Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Kennedy in a wild match, in which Hardy fought off a costly mistake to rebound for a count-out win.
Hardys trademark aerial assault almost backfired as Jeff lost his balance and fell awkwardly to the mat from the top rope, wrenching his neck. Kennedy rushed to pin the Swanton Bomber, but left Hardys leg under the ropes. Those extra seconds were enough for Jeff to recover and escape the pinfall attempt.
As the fight went outside the ring, the resilient Hardy ran atop the ringside barrier to catch Kennedy with a flying clothesline. Then the two fought their way to the stage, where Jeff threw the Green Bay gladiator into a metal wall. Sensing the referees count expiring, Hardy sprinted back, sliding in under the ropes just as the referee counted to 10 to earn the win.
Also, in a requested rematch, Cody Rhodes fell once again to Randy Ortons RKO in a spirited, courageous battle. After the match, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes came to ringside to prevent Orton from injuring his son further, delivering a bionic elbow to the cocky third-generation Superstar.
But with Dustys attention on his son, the snake-like Orton struck back with a vicious punt to Dustys head the same kick that shelved the careers of Shawn Michaels and Rob Van Dam. WWE officials helped stabilize the Dream, and loaded him into an ambulance with his son at his side.
In what started as a kingly compromise between Raws resident royals, Jerry The King Lawler sent a fuming King Booker scrambling to the floor after he refused to relinquish his king moniker. Lawler further heightened Bookers embarrassment by dumping a tray full of fruit onto the former World Champion. Later, Lawler accepted a challenge for a match next week against Booker on Raw.
Maria and Mickie James teamed to score a victory over Melina and Beth Phoenix. With Marias beau, Santino Marella, at ringside, Marella tripped up the paparazzi princess and her partner from the outside after he saw them double-teaming his love interest. Unaware of her mans interference, Maria caught the stunned Melina in a running bulldog and covered her for the pinfall.
Carlito had much better luck before his clash with Lashley. He teamed with William Regal to defeat Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Sandman. With a swift Backstabber to Duggan, the cool Caribbean picked up the pinfall, escaping just before Sandman came swinging his Singapore cane in his direction.
The Self-Proclaimed Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin scored a win over Paul London and Brian Kendrick. After Kendricks tope came up empty, Haas and Benjamin double-teamed London with a leapfrog and German suplex combination to pick up the pinfall victory.

Victoria def. Torrie The Great Khali wins 20-Man Battle Royal to become World Heavyweight Champion Matt Hardy def. Kenny Dykstra Batista vs. Kane (No Contest)
Results:Giant change to Friday nights
By Lennie DiFino
July 20, 2007
LAREDO, Texas After learning he would be out of action for longer than anticipated due to a torn pectoral muscle, Edge arrived in Laredo to unwillingly surrender the World Heavyweight Championship to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long. The GM then announced that a 20-Man Battle Royal would crown a new champion, and The Great Khali outlasted and ousted 19 other men to capture the gold. However, after interfering in a No. 1 Contenders Match between Batista and Kane, the colossus was told he would face both The Animal and the Big Red Machine in a Triple Threat Match for the title this Sunday at The Great American Bash.
In other action on Friday night, after competing in the 20-Man Battle Royal, Matt Hardy defeated Kenny Dykstra to continue his hot streak heading into his match with United States Champion MVP at The Great American Bash. Will Hardys string of successes in 2007 translate into his first major singles title in WWE? Also, Victoria defeated Torrie in a Divas Match.
