MAAKT KEN ANDERSON ZIJN DEBUUT NU ZONDAG?

EXCLUSIVELY that former WWE performer Ken Anderson (a/k/a Mr. Kennedy) will be debuting with TNA Wrestling next week, according to company sources.

According to our source, Anderson will either debut at Sunday's Genesis as the 'Major TNA Wrestling Superstar Acquisition' teased on Thursday's iMPACT!, or he will debut at the following night's television taping.

Current plans call for Anderson to debut at Genesis, but should the company decide to hold out, he will debut at the following evening's television tapings.

Either way, Anderson will debut with TNA next week.

Bischoff says he's "better" than McMahon

Bischoff says he's "better" than McMahon
Posted by Mark Virginia on 01/14/2010 at 04:01 PM

The following is an excerpt from an interview with Eric Bischoff from ScrippsNews.com:

"I have a tremendous respect for Vince [McMahon] and, in a perverse way, like him," [Eric] Bischoff said. "But at the end of the day, I think I'm better than him. I'm more creative than him and have a better feel for the business."

    Bischoff then laughed.

"It's just that he happens to be a lot more successful than I am."

Bischoff now has another chance to compete with McMahon, although this challenge will be much tougher. WWE is a multimillion juggernaut while TNA lacks the deep pockets that WCW had with AOL/Time Warner backing.

TNA, though, does have the chance to establish itself as a successful secondary U.S. promotion. After the ratings success of last week's special, Spike is expected to ultimately give TNA a Monday-night time slot opposite "Raw."

Bischoff said he has watched the Jan. 4 "Impact" between "50 to 75 times" looking for ways to make the show better. While not happy with some of the production values and a disastrous finish to the opening X-Division cage match, Bischoff said he was happy with a product that featured the TNA debuts of Hogan as well as former WWE stars like Ric Flair and Jeff Hardy.

"Think of WWE as a giant aircraft carrier and TNA as an 18-foot speedboat," said Bischoff, 54. "There's a lot the aircraft carrier can do, but it's also big and slow. We can bring a more flexible, aggressive and nimble approach. There is an open-mindedness and risk-taking mentality that exists here. That's one thing I really like about this company."

SCOTT HALL WILT SID VICIOUS IN TNA

Report: Scott Hall wants Sid in TNA
Posted by Mark Virginia on 01/13/2010 at 08:09 PM

    Credit: prowrestling.net

Scott Hall is pushing company officials to hire his friend, Sid Eudy (a/k/a Sid Vicious).

The two apparently became real close friends in the past year as just before his return to the organization, Hall had been working on the independent circuit with the multi-time world champion. Furthermore, Sid's son Gunnar made his wrestling debut alongside Hall this past summer in a tag match. There were also videos posted online of the duo "shooting" on the wrestling business.

It's also interesting to note that the TNA logo was recently posted on Sid's MySpace page.

    Update Scott Hall/Sean Waltman

Update on the status of Scott Hall/Sean Waltman
Posted by Mark Virginia on 01/13/2010 at 04:46 PM

According to F4WOnline.com, both Scott Hall and Sean Waltman are both are working on short term deals and are working on somewhat of a day-by-day basis. So far, TNA has been pleased with both wrestlers, and Scott Hall is said to be in much better shape now than he was when TNA last used him. Additionally, there is said to be little heat on Sean Waltman for arriving late to last week's Impact tapings.

    UPDATE BOBBY LASHLEY

Update on the status of Bobby Lashley
Posted by Mark Virginia on 01/13/2010 at 04:45 PM

F4WOnline.com is reporting that although Bobby Lashley has signed an MMA deal with Strikeforce, he is still under contract to TNA and will continue working for the company. At this point, Lashley feels that if he only has to work 4-5 dates a month with TNA, then he can manage both wrestling and MMA. However, he does feel that as he starts to climb the MMA ladder, and faces higher profile fighters, then he will have less and less time to devote to pro wrestling.

Ezekiel Jackson wins the ECW Homecoming Finale’s Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge

GREEN BAY, Wisc. – Ezekiel Jackson is one step closer to achieving his goal of dominating ECW. Big Zeke won Tuesday night’s eight-man Over-The-Top-Rope Challenge on the ECW Homecoming Finale, becoming the new No. 1 contender to the ECW Championship.

Ezekiel Jackson wins the ECW Homecoming Finale’s Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Ezekiel Jackson was crowned homecoming king in the Land of the Extreme on Tuesday. The Guyanese Goliath bulldozed through his competition, eliminating seven Superstars to win the ECW Homecoming Finale’s Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge. Big Zeke earned himself No. 1 contendership, and will go on to face ECW Champion Christian at Royal Rumble. (MATCH PREVIEW)

Captain Charisma provided commentary at the ECW announce table as Jackson defeated former ECW Champions CM Punk, Matt Hardy and Kane, as well as Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin, Yoshi Tatsu and Vance Archer. Jackson even single-handedly eliminated the three former ECW Titleholders himself. But will Jackson prove to be as dominant a force on Jan. 31 when he faces ECW Champion Christian at Royal Rumble? (ROYAL RUMBLE MICROSITE)

The Hurricane confronts Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Zack Ryder kicked off ECW on Syfy proclaiming he is the new “Heart and Soul of ECW.” The cocky Long Islander said he has the looks, skills and the hottest Diva in WWE – Rosa Mendes. Ryder said he is ECW. But after a “Woo Woo Woo, you know it,” he was interrupted by The Hurricane. The masked Superstar said the WWE Universe is sick of listening to Ryder, and after being slapped by Rosa, The Hurricane forced a stunned Ryder from the ring.

Zack Ryder def. The Hurricane (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After their confrontation, ECW General Manager Tiffany emerged to order a match immediately between The Hurricane and Ryder. ECW’s masked hero wasn’t able to quiet the Long Islander this time, as Ryder was victorious after a devastating Zack Attack. How will The Hurricane seek retribution? Will Ryder continue to brag that he’s the new “Heart and Soul of ECW”?

Trent Barreta def. Goldust (PHOTOS | WATCH)
ECW newcomer Trent Barreta earned his first singles win this week, impressively defeating Goldust. Barreta’s victory also brought a bit of revenge for his tag team partner, Caylen Croft, who was defeated by Goldust’s associate, Yoshi Tatsu, last week on “WWE Superstars.” Will the rivalry continue between the video game playing buddies Barreta & Croft and the odd duo of Tatsu & Goldust?

    WIE KOMT ER OP GENESIS

The following is a possible spoiler for Sunday's TNA Genesis PPV… It is believed that a "name" talent will be making their debut with the company at Sunday's Genesis PPV. The three leading candidates would be Tommy Dreamer, RVD and Ken Anderson. Due to Dreamer's 90-day no-compete clause with WWE, it's unlikely to be him. Anderson is a good possibility, especially due to his recent involvement with Hulk Hogan in the Hulkamania tour. As of now, there is no confirmation on who it will be.

    TNA TERUG OP MAANDAG?
Klik op de afbeelding om de link te volgen In regards to the earlier report that TNA iMPACT! could be moving to Monday's, while it still could happen, it won't happen soon according to a source. TNA will be taping four shows over three days (January 18th, 19th and 20th) after Sunday's Genesis PPV. The company will be heading on their tour of the UK, and if they moved to Monday nights, many changes would have to be made, including canceling that tour. Stay tuned! UPDATE FROM RYAN CLARK: I can now confirm that TNA iMPACT! will NOT air live next week. Brooke Hogan will be at next week's TV taping on Monday. She thought it was live and that is not the case.

Breaking News: TNA Live Next Monday Night?

On today's Bubba The Love Sponge radio show, Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke Hogan mistakenly mentioned how she would be in Orlando next Monday night for "the live broadcast." Bubba responded by saying she made the announcement too early.

According to a source, it is confirmed that another live Monday date is on the Spike schedule, although what exact date that is has yet to be revealed. If Brooke was right in accidentally spilling the beans, it could be next Monday night. Bret Hart's return again versus TNA live as opposition again.

We'll have more on this story later today.

Brian Kendrick Talks About Backstabbers & Cowards In WWE

In an interview with Canada's Slam.Canoe.ca, former WWE superstar THE Brian Kendrick Kendrick speaks out against the "backstabbers, power hungry people, suck ups, weak people" in World Wrestling Entertainment. Kendrick told SLAM! that his time on the RAW brand, his final run with the company, was miserable.

"I am a good wrestler, I did a good job. I also know that certain behavior was encouraged, some actions were frowned upon, and I didn't care. TV sucked because you saw a circus, backstabbers, power hungry people, suck ups, weak people," Kendrick said. "Also lots of really great, nice, funny people. But I felt like a tool sitting in the bleachers waiting in case they need my skills for something."

Kendrick suspects his marijuana use was part of the reason he was underutilized and says WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis acted "cowardly" by firing him over the phone.

"Is it the pot fines?' I had a script for it, I had heated discussions with Dr. Black, I had to refuse a test to get him to call me at one point. He wouldn't admit to that. I wanted honesty, maybe I got it, but I think more likely I am dealing with a coward. He did fire me over the phone after all."

Kendrick also spoke about his tag team with Paul London, what he's doing now and his future in the wrestling business.

Thanks to Shane Carter for the following:

After RAW ended, John Cena defeated Sheamus in a WWE title match via count out. The match didn't even go close to 5 minutes. Cena thanked the fans and cut a promo on the Minnesota Vikings
after the match. Sheamus tried to come back in but Cena laid him out and hits the "you can't see me" deal to send everyone home happy.

Breaking news: Steve Austin hosting RAW on 3/15

Breaking news: Steve Austin hosting RAW on 3/15

    The following is from WWE.com:

March 15, 2010: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
Less than two weeks before WrestleMania XXVI, WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin hosts Raw on March 15. The WWE Universe should certainly mark their calendars for the legendary Rattlesnake's return, as it is sure to turn WWE’s flagship show upside down. Though it’s uncertain what will happen when Stone Cold takes his place at the head of Raw for one night only, there's no doubt that he'll be looked at as one of Raw’s most controversial special guest hosts.

Be sure to tune in every Monday night when the biggest stars from all over the world take over as Raw’s special guest host.

The Legacy def. Mark Henry & Evan Bourne
Randy Orton def. John Cena and Kofi Kingston in a Triple Threat Match
    Eve def. Katie Lea Burchill
Unified Tag Team Champions DX def. Chris Jericho & Mike Tyson

MINNEAPOLIS - As professional boxing’s former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World, Mike Tyson enjoyed a reputation for delivering the knockout punch in no time flat. As special guest host of Raw, however, the “Baddest Man on the Planet” held off until the final round to deliver a shocking KO to the WWE Universe – and especially Chris Jericho.

Unified Tag Team Champions DX def. Chris Jericho & Mike Tyson (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In his first-ever WWE match, boxing great Mike Tyson played a little rope-a-dope with his partner Chris Jericho. Earlier in the evening, Tyson had agreed to team with Jericho against Unified Tag Team Champions DX. If Jericho had won, he would be legally allowed to appear on all WWE brand shows.

Unfortunately for Jericho, this isn’t WrestleMania XIV. It was then that Tyson turned his back on Michaels and helped “Stone Cold” Steve Austin win, even ripping up his DX T-shirt after the match. This time, Tyson instead embraced Michaels & Triple H, turning his back on his arrogant partner and knocking him out. With Jericho dazed, Tyson’s transformation became complete when he joined DX, including Hornswoggle, for a celebration in the middle of the ring.

Shawn Michaels issued WrestleMania rematch challenge to Undertaker
He may have won the Match of the Year Award going away for his bout with The Undertaker at last year’s WrestleMania, but that isn’t good enough for Shawn Michaels. While he won accolades and awards, he failed to win the match and stop the Deadman’s 17-0 WrestleMania winning streak. Which is why The Showstopper officially challenged The Phenom to a rematch at WrestleMania XXVI in Phoenix.

Mr. McMahon addressed Bret Hart (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It seemed too good to be true at the time. After 12 years of hostilities, Mr. McMahon and Bret Hart had appeared to reconcile last week before The Chairman turned on the “Hit Man” and dropped him with a Judas kick. Addressing his actions tonight, Mr. McMahon said that he’d been waiting 12 years to exact revenge for Hart spitting on and punching him in 1997  - and that Hart will never again be in WWE.

Eve def. Katie Lee Burchill (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Check your brackets – we’re down to the final four. In the Divas Championship Tournament, Eve advanced to the second round with a win over new Raw recruit Katie Lee Burchill, who, along with her brother Paul, had been banished from ECW. Eve next faces off against Maryse while Gail Kim battles Alicia Fox.

MVP confronted United States Champion The Miz (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When MVP triumphed in a Fatal Four Way Match and earned an opportunity at the United States Championship, The Miz sat ringside extolling his superiority. When he came face to face with that same Superstar, though, Miz instead tried to level him with a cheap shot. The Franchise Playa wasn’t fazed and flipped the script on the U.S. Champ, attacking and sending the former reality TV star scurrying from the ring.

Randy Orton def. John Cena and Kofi Kingston in a Triple Threat Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Enemy of my enemy is my friend. By that logic, John Cena and Kofi Kingston should be the best of buds. After all, each has had major issues with the arrogant Randy Orton. When the three met in a Triple Threat Match to determine the No. 1 contender to the WWE Title against Sheamus at Royal Rumble, however, it was Orton who emerged victorious. Not that he did it alone.

The Viper prevailed with a distraction, compliments of his Legacy henchmen, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. While the alliance had been teetering, the trio seems to have solidified their partnership in the past two weeks. (WWE Championship preview)

Santino Marella def. Jack Swagger (PHOTOS | WATCH)
What’s a-matter you, Jack Swagger? The former star collegiate wrestler issued an “All-American American” challenge to the entire Raw roster, daring anyone to throw him over the top rope. Braving the bruiser, Santino Marella took up the gauntlet and, in an odd twist of circumstances, pulled off the feat when Swagger tried to heave The Italian Stallion over the top rope and tumbled himself.

Mike Tyson to team with Chris Jericho against Unified Tag Team Champions DX
It's been a long time since Mike Tyson has fought inside a ring, but all that changed on Raw! The boxing legend agreed to team with Chris Jericho against DX in his first-ever WWE match. Adding to the intrigue, Tyson and DX’s Shawn Michaels have a sordid history, including when the boxer acted as referee and betrayed HBK at WrestleMania XIV, delivering a quick count to allow “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to win.

The Legacy def. Mark Henry & Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH)
They seemed the perfect competitive complement: Mark Henry’s powerful yin to Evan Bourne’s high-flying yang. Yet even this potent pairing couldn’t overcome The Legacy’s Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. With all four Superstars among the 30 participants in this year’s Royal Rumble, each seemed eager to prove themselves and gain momentum in the run up to the Rumble. Rhodes & DiBiase, though, along with Legacy ringleader Randy Orton, appear to have found their groove recently, making it exceedingly difficult to throw them off track.

Alicia Fox def. Kelly Kelly (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With Melina forced to vacate the Divas Championship due to a serious leg injury, the first round of the Divas Championship Tournament continued. This week, two leggy lovelies, Alicia Fox and Kelly Kelly, competed to advance in the eight-Diva tourney. When the pixie dust cleared, it was Alicia whose aggression proved too much for Kelly Kelly as she notched the win. Alicia now joins Maryse and Gail Kim in the second round.

Tyson arranged Triple Threat Match to determine WWE Title No. 1 contender (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It takes a brave soul – or a foolish one – to interrupt Mike Tyson. As Raw’s special guest host, Tyson greeted the WWE Universe when WWE Champion Sheamus cut him off and questioned his toughness. Before the two could settle their differences, however, a trio of Superstars injected themselves into the conversation in an effort to prove that they should get an opportunity at the WWE Title.

After Randy Orton, John Cena and Kofi Kingston pleaded their respective cases, The Celtic Warrior argued that he should be excused from having to defend his title at the Royal Rumble. Tyson wasn’t having it. Instead, the boxing legend arranged a Triple Threat Match between the three with the winner earning No. 1 contender status.

Update on Stacy Keibler hosting RAW
Posted by Mark Virginia on 01/09/2010 at 11:36 PM

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler confirms that she would "absolutely love" to serve as a guest host on WWE RAW.

After reiterating the story that WWE ignored her request to host the recent show in her hometown of Baltimore, Keibler said WWE recently told her publicist the company would "love to have her" but that the proposed dates did not sync with her schedule.

"So maybe in the future if the timing is right, but right now there no plans to do it. But it would be so much fun to walk out and feel that energy again and be around my fans," says Keibler.

Batista vs. Rey Mysterio (No Contest)

LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – The stakes were high in the night’s No. 1 Contender’s Match between Rey Mysterio and Batista. The winner would earn the opportunity to face World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker at Royal Rumble. But before a winner could be determined, an ominous darkness descended upon the arena, leaving both Superstars laying stunned in the ring.

Batista and Rey Mysterio predicted victory (PHOTOS | WATCH)
At the start of the night, both Batista and Rey Mysterio vehemently proclaimed they would defeat the other and become the No. 1 Contender. With emotions running high, they went as far as saying the other would not walk away from the match. Their words proved true, but things didn’t turn out quite as they predicted.

Batista vs. Rey Mysterio ended in a No Contest (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After a back-and-forth war, it appeared as though The Animal was going to finish off The Master of the 619 with a Batista Bomb. But before he could execute the maneuver, the arena lights dimmed and the eerie sound of The Undertaker’s gong reverberated throughout the arena. When the lights came back on, Batista lay writhing in pain.

Seizing the moment, Mysterio took it to Batista, dropping him with the 619. But, before he could fully capitalize, the arena lights dimmed once again, coupled with the tolling of The Deadman’s gong. When the lights came back on this time, both Superstars lay wasted in the ring.

Although The Phenom was never seen, his presence was felt throughout the WWE Universe, as bursts of fire shot from the top of the entrance ramp.

The ominous outcome leaves the lingering question. Who will claim the No. 1 Contender spot?

Dolph Ziggler def. Kane (Count-out) (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Dolph Ziggler had his work cut out for him against The Big Red Monster Kane. After locking in a very effective sleeper hold outside of the ring, Ziggler was able to weaken Kane. As the ref belted out his 10-count, Ziggler waited for just the right moment to release the hold, jump in the ring and claim the win.

Chris Jericho & The Hart Dynasty def. R-Truth & Cryme Tyme (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Kicked off Raw and no longer a tag team champion, Chris Jericho has been looking for respect on Friday nights. He gained a solid measure of it by leading his team to victory by making JTG submit with a brutally painful session in the Walls of Jericho.

CM Punk initiated a fan into the “straightedge society” (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With Luke Gallows at his side, CM Punk followed up on his promise to “save” a member of the WWE Universe. A fan identified only as James was the chosen one. Assuaging James of his fears, the "Straightedge Savior" shaved his head, initiating him into the straightedge society.

Luke Gallows def. Matt Hardy (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After a distraction by his mentor CM Punk, the “Detoxified Disciple” Luke Gallows defeated Matt Hardy with a ruthless Gallows Pole.

Beth Phoenix def. Layla (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Showing no mercy, The Glamazon crushed Layla with a brutal Glam Slam. After the match, Women’s Champion Michelle McCool jumped in the ring to attack Beth. With Layla holding Phoenix’s legs, the champion launched an ugly assault.

Then chaos ensued when Mickie James stormed into the arena to attack McCool. After recovering, Phoenix cleared house, sending both McCool and Layla flying from the ring. But it was Mickie who got in the final blow, when she stunned Beth with a hard-hitting kick to the face – sweet revenge for being attacked by The Glamazon last week.
