There is a rumor going around that some people on the SmackDown writing team want to turn Jesse and Festus heel. The idea would be to give Festus a singles push with Jesse as his manager and mouthpiece, with the occasional tag team match.
WWE has plans to debut a new character speaking carny -- the secret language of carnival workers. On last night's edition of SmackDown, vignettes promoting the debut of WWE developmental wrestler Sinn Bowdee began to air. He was shown at a carnival talking carny. The vignette referred to him as Kizarny, his new WWE ring name.
Former WWE star blasts The Ultimate Warrior Posted by Bobby Spade on 10/11/2008 at 01:33 PM
SLAM! Wrestling has an article on former WWE star Chris Masters and he has nothing positive to regarding Ultimate Warrior after appearing on the same wrestling show in Barcelona, Spain last June that featured Warrior's comeback match. In the article, Masters refers to Warrior as the "Ultimate Asshole."
"The guy is 50 years old and he expected the red carpet rolled out for him in NWE," Masters said. "We were doing a three-week tour of Spain and they brought him in to create a buzz for the product. He had one match to do with Orlando Jordan for our big show in Barcelona.
"They rented him a house and flew out his wife and daughters and all I was hearing about from the guys higher up was his bitching and saying, 'I am the Ultimate Warrior, you should be promoting this more,' and doing everything he possibly could to be a d**k and make it hard for those of us who were working every day busting our asses."
Masters then takes aim at Warrior's comeback match, pretty much calling it horrible. "The guy trained for this match like it was a bodybuilding show. He hadn't wrestled legitimately in about 15 years, because let's be honest that WCW run doesn't even count. He gave Orlando a hiptoss and a backdrop and then blew up in two minutes; there was nothing that Orlando could do. He stunk the whole joint out. We were backstage and it was unlike any atmosphere I have ever felt. We asked Juventud Guerrera what they were chanting in Spanish and it was things like boring and bullsh--. Whatever he thinks his value is, he is completely delusional. It is safe to say the Ultimate Warrior is an asshole, the best way to describe him is ugh."
Masters also discusses his experience with the NWE promotion, which runs regularly in Spain, as well as his past in World Wrestling Entertainment. He hopes to make a comeback in WWE, or even TNA, one day.
"There are no hard feelings towards WWE," Masters said. "When the time feels right I would definitely love to look into going back there. But I am able to make a living because of my run in WWE, and it is hard to be an indy wrestler otherwise. I have no regrets. If you look at my career as a book, we are at Chapter 6. Who knows what Chapter 7 will be, WWE, TNA or not wrestling at all? I think it will be wrestling, I kind of lost my love for it at certain times, and regrettably when I was with WWE, but I know in my heart I love it. I still have that love inside me."
- Abyss suffered burns to his arms after going through the flaming table. The impact of Abyss' fall was not great enough to cause the fire to go out and the result was the wrestler rolling in the fiery wood until he was extinguished. The severity of his burns is not known at this time.
- Also in the Monster's Ball match last night, Robert Roode reportedly suffered a particularly stiff shot with a singapore cane to the head at the hands of Hernandez that left him groggy.
Thanks to site readers Rich and Loreen for sending the following:
We were at Bound for Glory last night and it was way louder than it came across on TV, there were "this is Awesome" chants all night and the crowd was into just about every match. A few things that happened that you didn't see:
-- Matt Morgan grabbed a guys wipe-off board and used it to smash Brother Ray over the head, then gave the sign back to the guy....very funny.
-- When Samoa Joe came out and got in the ring, he stopped and looked around at the stadium and I could clearly read his lips as he said "Unbelievable" I am hoping that was in reference to the size of the crowd and to how loud we were!
-- Also after the show Dixie Carter was out saying hello and thanks to the few wrestlers that were still there and spent a minute or two with a young kid in a wheelchair.
Being our first TNA show, I have to say we were pleasantly surprised
Kane & Mark Henry def. Rey Mysterio & Matt Hardy Batista vs. Shawn Michaels in a Lumberjack Match (No Contest) Kelly Kelly & Cryme Tyme def. Jillian & The Miz & John Morrison CM Punk def. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho
ANAHEIM, Calif. Stars in the WWE Universe were out in force Monday Night as Raw came to life inside the confines of the Honda Center. With just two weeks until Cyber Sunday, celebrities, including Nancy O'Dell and Johnny Knoxville, showed up to catch all the WWE action on a night that would prove as overwhelming as any Hollywood blockbuster.
CM Punk def. Chris Jericho (WATCH) (PHOTOS) After tackling the challenge of Shawn Michaels in a Lumberjack Match, it was Batistas turn to make his Cyber Sunday opponent sweat a little. Per GM Adamles orders, The Animal chose the World Heavyweight Champions opponent for the night, and he chose the former World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk. Jericho pouted at the announcement, but then Lilian dropped the bad news. Batista also chose a special guest referee for the match: The Animal himself. During the bout, Batista had fun with his Cyber Sunday rival, taunting him with slow counts and pointing at his ref shirt as a defense. In the end, a frustrated Jericho went down in defeat when The Animal dropped a Batista Bomb on him and Punk quickly covered. The loss undoubtedly serves to fuel the current World Heavyweight Champion as he trains his sights on defending his title against The Animal at Cyber Sunday.
Kelly Kelly & Cryme Tyme def. Jillian & Miz & Morrison (WATCH) (PHOTOS) The battle of the WWE.com Video Originals continued Monday night when Kelly Kelly & the Word Up boyz took on Jillian and the Dirt Sheet duo. Before the match, The Miz & John Morrison entertained the crowd with a rap dissing their opponents before eventually being stopped by Jillian, who tried to join in. But it was Shad who got the last diss inside the ring when he pinned Morrison after a little help from JTG.
Jackass stars learn about WWE the hard way (WATCH) (PHOTOS) WWE.com Exclusives: Knoxville requires medical attention | Interview with Joey Styles Showcasing the Honk-A-Meter in the run up to Cyber Sunday, Santino Marella, with his girlfriend Beth Phoenix by his side, told the crowd that in one year he will only be one week away from beating the Honky Tonk Mans record for longest Intercontinental Championship reign at 64 weeks. Marella then invited WWE enthusiast and Jackass ringleader Johnny Knoxville into the ring. A reluctant Knoxville climbed into the ring and proceeded to insult Phoenix, who promptly slammed Knoxville to the mat. An opportunistic Hornswoggle, no doubt offended by earlier comments Knoxville made about midgets, climbed from under the ring and Tadpole Splashed him. Events got ever stranger when Knoxvilles Jackass cohort Chris Pontius came to his friends aid. As he did, Big Dick Johnson entered the ring, and he and Pontius battled in a near-naked dance-off. During the dance-off, Boogeyman made an appearance, causing Johnson to flee as Pontius looked on. Boogeyman wasted no time laying Pontius out and giving him the worm treatment. Before the surreal scene was finished, however, The Great Khali made an appearance and punished Knoxville, slamming him with the Khali Vise Grip.
Batista vs. HBK in a Lumberjack Match (No Contest) (WATCH) (PHOTOS) At Chris Jerichos choosing, Batista was forced to take on Shawn Michaels in a Lumberjack Match. Before the bout got underway, lumberjacks surrounded the ring, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, Manu, Snitsky, JBL, Deuce, William Regal, Chavo Guerrero, Bam Neely and Mark Henry among them. As the match progressed, lumberjacks began to interfere with both The Animal and HBK, but the combatants werent having it. Instead of fighting each other, they trained their ire on the meddling lumberjacks until it was only Batista and Michaels who stood tall in the ring. The two even showed mutual respect with a handshake. Needless to say, Jericho was furious.
JBL def. Haas Hogan (PHOTOS) In his latest Superstar incarnation, Charlie Haas strutted down the entrance ramp as Hulk Hogan to battle JBL. Despite the ravaged economy, the millionaire investor was focused enough to punish Haas before laying him out with his trademark Clothesline from Hell.
Kane & Mark Henry def. Rey Mysterio & Matt Hardy (WATCH) (PHOTOS) In the weeks leading up to their clash at Cyber Sunday, Rey Mysterio and Kane met in the ring again tonight, joined by tag partners ECW Champion Matt Hardy and Mark Henry respectively. Kane caught Mysterio and pinned him for the win. The Big Red Monster then continued to kick the Master of the 619 in the ribs, until Mysterio popped up and threw Kane some offense of his own. The tag team match, however, will not be on the menu for Cyber Sunday when Kane faces off against Mysterio. In fact, the WWE Universe has three different match types from which to choose, including Falls Count Anywhere, No Holds Barred and a 2-out-of-3 Falls. Dont forget to vote!
Chris Jericho puts HBK in match against Batista (PHOTOS) World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho appeared livid as he kicked off Monday Night Raw. He complained about the WWE Universe being able to vote Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels or Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special referee in his match against Batista at Cyber Sunday. As he pleaded directly to Stephanie and Shane McMahon, Michaels came out to confront him. Heated words and punches were exchanged before Jericho scurried outside of the ring and informed his rival, per GM Adamle, that he will choose Batistas opponent that night, and that opponent will be Shawn Michaels.
On last Thursday's edition of TNA Impact, Mick Foley was Karen Angle's guest on her talk segment, "Karen's Angle." Later in the night as Mick Foley was making his way to the ring, Mike Tenay & Don West noted on commentary that due to personal issues between Karen & Kurt, Karen has decided to step away as host of "Karen's Angle" and spend more time with her family.

WWE Champion Triple H vs. Big Show No Contest (WATCH | PHOTOS) Following Big Shows knockout victory over Undertaker at No Mercy (PHOTOS), SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero awarded him a chance at Triple Hs WWE Championship (PHOTOS). Vladimir Kozlov and Jeff Hardy both made it clear that they would challenge whoever emerged the winner. But, just when it looked as if Big Show might dethrone The King of Kings, The Phenom suddenly appeared inciting a brawl with The Worlds Largest Athlete which extended all the way to the back. When the Moscow Mauler charged in to attack the war-torn champion, Hardy joined the fight. To the surprise of the WWE Universe, after The Game and the high-flying Superstar combined forces to knock Kozlov out of the ring, Hardy dropped Triple H with a Twist of Fate.
Jeff Hardy def. Montel Vontavious Porter (WATCH | PHOTOS) After coming up just short of winning the WWE Championship at No Mercy, Jeff Hardy proved that he still has what it takes to reach the top of the mountain, scoring an impressive victory over MVP with a Swanton Bomb. But, the victory was short-lived thanks to the invasion of Vladimir Kozlov. When Hardy repelled himself from the turnbuckle in an attempt to battle his attacker, the Moscow Mauler blasted him in midair with the full force of his granite-like Russian cranium.
R-Truth def. United States Champion Shelton Benjamin (PHOTOS) In the culmination of a fast-paced, non-title brawl, R-Truth executed a quick counter maneuver in order to pin Shelton Benjamin for the second time. Does R-Truth now have what it takes to remove the "gold" out of the Gold Standard?
Eight-Man Tag Team Match: Festus def. Kenny Dykstra (PHOTOS) WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo teamed up with Jesse & Festus to take on Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder and the recently unpacked Ryan Braddock & Kenny Dykstra. Although Festus seemed to take quite a liking to special guest ring announcer Maria, that didnt stop the Corn-fed Colossus from slamming Dykstras face into the mat, picking up the win as his partners cleared the ring of their other opponents.
Brie Bella def. Natalya (WATCH | PHOTOS) As Brie Bella proceeded to disappear under the ring during her match with Natalya, the third-generation Divas B.F.F., Victoria, followed the newcomer under the ring, only to receive an unwelcome greeting. Hornswoggle lunged out from beneath the canvas at the former Womens Champion and chased her away. When Bella reemerged, she was on Natalyas side of the ring. The mysterious Diva then climbed back under with a devious smile, only to pop out on the opposite side and apply a crucifix for the win.
The Great Khali wins Handicap Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) Still infuriated by an interview gone bad with Jackass star Johnny Knoxville (Watch Interview and Khali's Kiss Cam on Raw) (Read full story ), The Great Khali hoped to alleviate his frustrations on Scotty Mack, Aaron Bono, and Nelson Creed in a Handicap Match. But, when two of his opponents retreated out of the ring at the mere sound of Khalis mighty roar, the third Superstar was defeated with one blow to the head. Afterwards, the Punjabi Giant attempted to prove that he was a superior entertainer to Knoxville, hosting an impromptu, post-slaughter Kiss Cam where he preceded to kiss one lucky fan of the WWE Universe in Spokane.
Dave Meltzer is reporting that former WWE and TNA wrestler Scott Hall has been arrested. Apparently he got upset during the comedy roast of The Iron Sheik. Jimmy Graham, a comedian who has wrestled, and made a remark to Bill Apter, "Bill Apter, you're deaded than Owen Hart." Hall, who had been drinking, was furious about the disrespectful joke and threw punches at Graham until he was contained by security. More information will hopefully come out soon.

-- One of the reasons WWE put Carlito together with his brother Eddie (Primo) in a tag team is because they believe it will help improve Carlito. Eddie is said to have a great attitude and works hard. They are hoping it rubs off on Carlito, with the idea that he won't want his little brother to outshine him in WWE.
Last week, new WWE Mexico President Bosco Attolini Pesqueira said WWE is looking to sign some of the biggest wrestling names in Mexico. Pesqueira noted WWE now has its own offices in Mexico and its television on Televisa and TV Azteca, which gives them equal, if not better exposure, than both AAA and CMLL. He said the TV deals with make WWE bigger and entice talent to sign with them. Anyway, WWE has signed someone. The first signing is Dos Caras Jr., who has been in talks with WWE for a few months and was close to signing in the summer, but passed on the offer.
Caras Jr. said he's leaving on bad terms with CMLL, but will fulfill a few more bookings, with his last night being this Friday night at Arena Mexico in the main event. Caras Jr. still holds the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, and while it's been known for a few months that he may be leaving, they never set up a program for him to lose the title.
One of the reasons he's leaving CMLL for WWE is because in his eyes, CMLL didn't seem too care if he left or not. After WWE made him an offer over the summer, CMLL never tried to convince him to stay. Caras Jr. said the only reason he's fulfilling all of his dates for CMLL is because he's a professional and plans to honor his contract until it expires.
Caras Jr. said CMLL is in bad shape, noting the unhappy wrestlers and lackluster attendance. Caras Jr. plans on vacating the title and said CMLL thought he would take the belt with him to WWE. However, WWE isn't going to recognize the title of another organization they have no relationship with.

STAMFORD, Conn., October 10, 2008 - In accordance with its Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Nick Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) for 30 days for his first violation of the companys policy.

However, due to excellent merchandise sales, there appears to be no current plan to break up LAX.
NEWS AND VIDEOS FROM THURSDAY'S "iMPACT!" - THE FINAL COUNTDOWN TO SUNDAY'S BOUND FOR GLORY
There are several news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" as TNA Wrestling prepares for our biggest event of the year this Sunday on Pay-Per-View with "Bound For Glory"...
- During the broadcast, Mick Foley called out Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle for a face to face to go over last minute instructions. In a big surprise, Jarrett produced Kurt Angle's gold medal (which AJ Styles had won recently). Jarrett gave the medal back to Angle and both superstars shook hands in mutual respect before their huge bout this Sunday! However, before Angle left the ring he had a sinister parting shot for Jarrett, telling him to apologize to his children for him - that Jeff wouldn't be coming home after the PPV!
- TNA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe and Sting had their official contract signing for Sunday's huge main event for the gold. After the signing (and some final comments), Joe shook Sting's hand, but then pulled "The Icon" in for a vicious headbutt! Before Sting could retaliate, TNA Security hit the ring.
- Christian Cage tried to work out his differences with AJ Styles to start the broadcast, but Booker T interrupted their talk...and ended up making things worse! As a result, Jim Cornette came out and made Booker T vs. AJ Styles for later in the broadcast with Christian Cage as special referee. Following the bout, Cornette announced the superstars would all battle each other in a three-way bout this Sunday night!
- Consequences Creed won a four-way X Division number-one contenders match to earn a shot at the X Championship this Sunday against titleholder Sheik Abdul Bashir!
- After a challenge from Rhino, it was announced that "The War Machine" will team with ODB and Rhaka Khan to take on The Beautiful People and Cute Kip this Sunday on PPV!
- In a non-title preview of the Monster's Ball Match this Sunday, the team of Matt Morgan and Abyss defeated Beer Money, Inc.
- Booker T still won't reveal the contents of the mysterious briefcase he has been carrying (and using on opponents!).
- In Knockouts tag team action, Awesome Kong and her manager Raisha Saeed defeated TNA Women's Champion Taylor Wilde and Roxxi.

Mark Henry def. Jamie Noble (WATCH | PHOTOS) Coming off a loss to ECW Champion Matt Hardy at No Mercy, Mark Henry was not in a good mood Tuesday. Unfortunately for Jamie Noble, he paid the price with a Worlds Strongest Slam. Mark Henry dominated Jamie Noble in a match that Noble was backed into during a verbal exchange with Henry earlier in the night in ECW General Manager Theodore Longs office.
After the match was over, the Worlds Strongest Man continued to punish Noble by brutally slamming him two more times to the canvas. But, Hardy didnt like what he saw and rushed to Nobles aid. However, Hardy paid a heavy price as Henry punished him with a Worlds Strongest Slam and a crushing 400-pound splash. After the carnage, Hardy was left motionless on the canvas next to the fallen Noble.
Finlay & Tommy Dreamer def. Mike Knox & Jack Swagger (PHOTOS) Finlay pinned Mike Knox, giving the Belfast Brawler and Tommy Dreamer the win over Knox & The All-American American Jack Swagger. Hornswoggle intervened in the action to help his father by hitting Knox with a Tadpole Splash. Finlay followed up by bashing Knox with his shillelagh to get the pinfall. The victory was sweet revenge for Tommy Dreamer, who was defeated by Mike Knox last week on ECW and gutwrench powerbombed by Swagger after the bell. (WATCH)
SmackDown Diva Victoria, 37, posted a blog on her MySpace page yesterday in which she mentions hanging up the boots in the future. Victoria wrote: "I have been doing my best to lay the Smackdown every Friday night. I hope everyone followed us to MyNetwork. Again, I am very thankful to have had a long and successful WWE career. Although between you and me, I think I have one more championship run left before I hang up the wrestling boots. What do you think?" Victoria also mentions that her "Black Widow" custom car shop recently did cars for two WWE Superstars.
As you could see from RAW last night, WWE has apparently done away with online voting for this year's Cyber Sunday PPV. In previous years, fans could cast their votes free of charge as many times as they pleased, but this year they can only vote by sending a text message that carries a $.99 charge plus standard text rates. The total number of votes is expected to be much lower than previous years as a result, however WWE will most likely still make a decent amount of money from the voting system.
