    The future of LAX

    The future of LAX

It's being reported that Homicide and Hernandez of LAX had been under the impression for quite some time that they would be broken up, which was a motivating factor for Shelly Martinez' departure from the company. However, due to excellent merchandise sales, there appears to be no current plan to break up LAX.

NEWS AND VIDEOS FROM THURSDAY'S "iMPACT!" - THE FINAL COUNTDOWN TO SUNDAY'S BOUND FOR GLORY

There are several news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" as TNA Wrestling prepares for our biggest event of the year this Sunday on Pay-Per-View with "Bound For Glory"...

    - During the broadcast, Mick Foley called out Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle for a face to face to go over last minute instructions. In a big surprise, Jarrett produced Kurt Angle's gold medal (which AJ Styles had won recently). Jarrett gave the medal back to Angle and both superstars shook hands in mutual respect before their huge bout this Sunday! However, before Angle left the ring he had a sinister parting shot for Jarrett, telling him to apologize to his children for him - that Jeff wouldn't be coming home after the PPV!

    - TNA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe and Sting had their official contract signing for Sunday's huge main event for the gold. After the signing (and some final comments), Joe shook Sting's hand, but then pulled "The Icon" in for a vicious headbutt! Before Sting could retaliate, TNA Security hit the ring.

    - Christian Cage tried to work out his differences with AJ Styles to start the broadcast, but Booker T interrupted their talk...and ended up making things worse! As a result, Jim Cornette came out and made Booker T vs. AJ Styles for later in the broadcast with Christian Cage as special referee. Following the bout, Cornette announced the superstars would all battle each other in a three-way bout this Sunday night!

    - Consequences Creed won a four-way X Division number-one contenders match to earn a shot at the X Championship this Sunday against titleholder Sheik Abdul Bashir!

    - After a challenge from Rhino, it was announced that "The War Machine" will team with ODB and Rhaka Khan to take on The Beautiful People and Cute Kip this Sunday on PPV!

    - In a non-title preview of the Monster's Ball Match this Sunday, the team of Matt Morgan and Abyss defeated Beer Money, Inc.

    - Booker T still won't reveal the contents of the mysterious briefcase he has been carrying (and using on opponents!).

    - In Knockouts tag team action, Awesome Kong and her manager Raisha Saeed defeated TNA Women's Champion Taylor Wilde and Roxxi.

Finlay & Tommy Dreamer def. Mike Knox & "The All-American American" Jack Swagger
    Mark Henry def. Jamie Noble
World Tag Team Champions Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes, John Morrison & The Miz def. CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne & Ricky Ortiz

SPOKANE, Wash. – With the Land of the Extreme erupting in Spokane Arena Tuesday night – and Cyber Sunday less than three weeks away in Arizona – WWE is scorching up the western U.S. But there’s now a palpable chill in the October air as the WWE Universe has learned of the return of Boogeyman.

Eight-Man Tag Team Match: John Morrison def. CM Punk (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Bad blood ran rampant in the Eight-Man Tag Team match which saw John Morrison pin CM Punk using a Moonlight Drive, giving Morrison’s team of The Miz & World Tag Team Champions Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes the win over CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne & Ricky Ortiz. The loss was another thorn in the side for Kingston, who was defeated by DiBiase last night on Raw despite support from CM Punk. (PHOTOS)

The Return of Boogeyman (WATCH | PROFILE)
Lock your doors and check under your bed, it’s the return of Boogeyman! Just when and where will this ghoulish Superstar make his return? Stay tuned to ECW on Sci Fi to find out.

Mark Henry def. Jamie Noble (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Coming off a loss to ECW Champion Matt Hardy at No Mercy, Mark Henry was not in a good mood Tuesday. Unfortunately for Jamie Noble, he paid the price with a World’s Strongest Slam. Mark Henry dominated Jamie Noble in a match that Noble was backed into during a verbal exchange with Henry earlier in the night in ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s office.

After the match was over, the World’s Strongest Man continued to punish Noble by brutally slamming him two more times to the canvas. But, Hardy didn’t like what he saw and rushed to Noble’s aid. However, Hardy paid a heavy price as Henry punished him with a World’s Strongest Slam and a crushing 400-pound splash. After the carnage, Hardy was left motionless on the canvas next to the fallen Noble.

Finlay & Tommy Dreamer def. Mike Knox & Jack Swagger (PHOTOS)
Finlay pinned Mike Knox, giving the Belfast Brawler and Tommy Dreamer the win over Knox & “The All-American American” Jack Swagger. Hornswoggle intervened in the action to help his father by hitting Knox with a Tadpole Splash. Finlay followed up by bashing Knox with his shillelagh to get the pinfall. The victory was sweet revenge for Tommy Dreamer, who was defeated by Mike Knox last week on ECW and gutwrench powerbombed by Swagger after the bell. (WATCH)

    WWE diva to retire soon?

    WWE diva to retire soon?

SmackDown Diva Victoria, 37, posted a blog on her MySpace page yesterday in which she mentions hanging up the boots in the future. Victoria wrote: "I have been doing my best to lay the Smackdown every Friday night. I hope everyone followed us to MyNetwork. Again, I am very thankful to have had a long and successful WWE career. Although between you and me, I think I have one more championship run left before I hang up the wrestling boots. What do you think?" Victoria also mentions that her "Black Widow" custom car shop recently did cars for two WWE Superstars.

WWE makes changes to Cyber Sunday

WWE makes changes to Cyber Sunday

As you could see from RAW last night, WWE has apparently done away with online voting for this year's Cyber Sunday PPV. In previous years, fans could cast their votes free of charge as many times as they pleased, but this year they can only vote by sending a text message that carries a $.99 charge plus standard text rates. The total number of votes is expected to be much lower than previous years as a result, however WWE will most likely still make a decent amount of money from the voting system.

What You Didn't See on RAW Last Night

Joe sent the following in via text message:

    - Before RAW in Seattle tonight, Dolph Ziggler came out and tried to charm the crowd. He went on to defeat Rowdy Charlie Piper aka Charlie Haas in a nice bit of comedy for us fans.

    - The arena is looking hot and packed with fans. A lot more signs than usual I have noticed. Me and my buddy clearly spotted Vince McMahon near the curtains earlier as soon as we got in. We were one of the first ones in.

Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella & Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix def. Jamie Noble & Mickie James
World Tag Team Champion Ted DiBiase def. Kofi Kingston
Kane & Mark Henry def. Rey Mysterio & ECW Champion Matt Hardy
Shawn Michaels def. Lance Cade in a No Disqualification Match
    Kelly Kelly def. Jillian
    Batista def. JBL

Batista def. JBL with a Batista Bomb, retaining his No. 1 contender status; the match had World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho as referee, William Regal as timekeeper and Randy Orton as commentator. Batista will face Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship at Cyber Sunday with a special guest referee.
Before the night’s main event even began, World Heavyweight Champion and self-appointed referee Chris Jericho made a couple of changes to the match. Hoping to stack the deck against Batista, he brought out William Regal as a special timekeeper and Randy Orton as a guest commentator. Despite being surrounded by enemies, The Animal fought back, and was able to defeat JBL when Raw General Manager Adamle emerged with a second official.

Following Batista’s victory, Adamle set another match for Cyber Sunday: Batista vs. Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship with a special guest referee. The WWE Universe will choose between Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. (STORY | WATCH | PHOTOS)

Kelly Kelly def. Jillian; Cryme Tyme and The Miz & John Morrison argued at ringside.
After The Miz & John Morrison took their place at the announce table, Jillian came out to the ring and attempted to serenade the audience with “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Seattle’s own Nirvana. Before she could finish, however, she was interrupted by the entrance of Kelly Kelly, accompanied by Cryme Tyme, who also made their way to the announce table. Kelly continued to show off her in-ring abilities as she competed against the tone-deaf songstress. During the match, an argument broke out between Cryme Tyme and Miz & Morrison, spilling over from the rivalry seen in their WWE.com video series. As the two tag teams bickered, Kelly pinned Jillian for the win. (PHOTOS)

The Great Khali hosts The Kiss Cam and calls out Johnny Knoxville.
After showing a clip in which Jackass star Johnny Knoxville angered The Great Khali during an interview, causing him to walk out, the Punjabi Giant hosted The Kiss Cam to show that he knows how to have fun. Khali then used the segment as an excuse to steal a kiss from Lilian Garcia, and invited Knoxville to Raw, so that he can learn the “true meaning of entertainment.”  (WATCH | PHOTOS)

Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella will defend his title at Cyber Sunday.
Jerry Lawler announced that Santino Marella will be defending his Intercontinental Title at Cyber Sunday, but that his opponent would be chosen by you, the WWE Universe. The options include WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Goldust, and the man whose record title-reign the Italian Champion is attempting to beat, Honky Tonk Man, all former Intercontinental Champions. (STORY)

Shawn Michaels def. Lance Cade with a flurry of shots from a steel chair.
Shawn Michaels came to the ring for his No Disqualification Match against Lance Cade suffering both physically and emotionally. Not only was the World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match at No Mercy one of the most brutal of his entire career, but he only narrowly lost the title, due to interference from Lance Cade. HBK’s former student, battling without Jericho at his side, reaped what he sowed on Raw though, as Michaels took revenge and battered Cade relentlessly with a steel chair. (WATCH | PHOTOS)

Kane & Mark Henry def. Rey Mysterio & ECW Champion Matt Hardy when the Big Red Monster chokeslammed Hardy.
All four of these Superstars had hard-fought matches at No Mercy, only 24-hours prior to their tag-match tonight. Rey Mysterio in particular was still suffering from his match against Kane, in which he was clubbed with a steel chair while attempting an aerial maneuver. The Big Red Monster again showed how vicious he could be, as he chokeslammed the ECW Champion to win the match. (WATCH | PHOTOS)

World Tag Team Champion Ted DiBiase def. Kofi Kingston with a Russian Leg Sweep after Cody Rhodes distracted the Jamaican Superstar.
As usual, World Tag Team Champion Ted DiBiase came to the ring with fellow multi-generational Superstars, World Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes & Manu. DiBiase’s opponent, Kofi Kingston, wasn’t without support either, as he was joined by CM Punk. Unfortunately, even with the former World Heavyweight Champion at ringside, the “Priceless” third-generation Superstars were too much for Kingston. (PHOTOS)

Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella & Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix def. Jamie Noble & Mickie James when Santino rolled up Noble after a distraction from The Glamazon; Noble attacked William Regal at ringside.
Prior to the match, 2008 King of the Ring William Regal came to the announce table with Layla to observe the Mixed Tag Team Match. Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella and his partner in “Glamarella” emerged next, and the Italian Superstar continued to use the Honk-A-Meter to brag about his Intercontinental Title streak – currently at all of seven weeks. In spite of Mickie and Jamie Noble’s valiant efforts, Glamarella dominated the match, but Noble managed to take out his frustrations afterward by attacking Regal, who had recently stolen away the lovely Layla, in spite of Noble’s attempts to woo her. (PHOTOS)

Batista hit World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho with a spinebuster. Tonight, Batista will face JBL with his No. 1 contender status on the line.
World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho opened Raw, announcing that he would be running the show while General Manager Mike Adamle was in a meeting with WWE Executive Vice Presidents Shane and Stephanie McMahon. Taking advantage of his role, Jericho placed Shawn Michaels in a No Disqualification Match against Lance Cade. Soon after doing so, he was interrupted by No. 1 contender Batista, ready to face him for the title that very night. Jericho refused and insulted The Animal, who responded by hitting the World Heavyweight Champion with a spinebuster.

After Jericho recovered, he set a No Mercy rematch between Batista and JBL, with The Animal’s No. 1 contendership on the line, and the World Heavyweight Champion himself acting as referee. (PHOTOS)

Injury news from WWE No Mercy PPV

Injury news from WWE No Mercy PPV

It appears that Chris Jericho did indeed lose a tooth during his ladder match against HBK tonight. We reported that he had been busted open, but upon reviewing the tape more closely, you can see that he lost a tooth on the left side of his mouth towards the middle of the bout. We'll have more on his injury status as it becomes available.

Rey Mysterio was telling one of the guys to pull his knee pad down, which may indicate that he did hurt his knee during the fall, which would make sense as Rey just returned from a previous knee injury.

No word yet on why Matt Striker was replaced by Jerry Lawler in the opening ECW bout.

WWE Champion Triple H def. ECW Champion Matt Hardy and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho – Champions vs. Champions Triple Threat Match

In an exciting championship extravaganza just two days before No Mercy, more than 50 Superstars, including every WWE champion, were in action to help celebrate SmackDown’s All Star Kick-Off on MyNetwork TV.

WWE Champion Triple H def. ECW Champion Matt Hardy and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho. Jeff Hardy and Vladimir Kozlov involved after the match. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Triple H proved victorious in the Champions vs. Champions Triple Threat Match, hitting the Pedigree on Matt Hardy as he was closing the door on Chris Jericho. But when Jericho attacked Hardy after the match, Matt’s brother Jeff Hardy came to his aid, staying long enough to hit the Twist of Fate on The Game. As Jeff prepared to go airborne from the familiar ladder, however, Vladimir Kozlov came from nowhere to delivered a vicious mid-flight head butt before laying waste to both him and The King of Kings.

Mark Henry & The Great Khali def. Chavo Guerrero. Big Show and Undertaker involved afterward. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
With SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero recovering from the Tombstone she received last week from Undertaker, Big Show ruled SmackDown with an iron fist – forcing Chavo Guerrero to take on The Great Khali & Mark Henry in a Handicap Match. After the self-proclaimed "Mexican Warrior" lost due to the Punjabi Giant’s vicious Vise Grip, Big Show presented him with a devastating knockout punch. When The World’s Largest Athlete addressed The Deadman, his No Mercy opponent emerged with a chilling Throat Slash, indicating that Big Show would soon rest in peace.

Jeff Hardy, Batista, Rey Mysterio & Finlay def. JBL, Kane, MVP & The Brian Kendrick. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The All Star Eight-Man Tag Team Match featuring some of the juggernauts of sports-entertainment proved to be an extremely intense back-and-forth battle. In the end, amidst a flurry of fast-paced attacks by both sides, Jeff Hardy ultimately prevailed for his team, following up Rey Mysterio’s 619 on MVP with an explosive Swanton Bomb on the Ballin’ Superstar.

Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella def. United States Champion Shelton Benjamin. R-Truth involved. (PHOTOS)
Santino Marella came to SmackDown for a Champion vs. Champion Match with Shelton Benjamin, bringing the Honk-a-Meter along with him. But, once the action began, it looked like the visiting champion would be visiting the Heartbreak Hotel. However, as The Gold Standard was playing out a beat down, R-Truth suddenly appeared in the crowd, staging a lyrical interruption that caused enough of a distraction for Santino to roll-up Benjamin from the top rope and steal the win.

WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo with CM Punk def. World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase with Manu. ( PHOTOS)
In a dynamic Six-Man Tag Team Match, the Straightedge Superstar joined forces with the new WWE Tag Team Champions. And, after the Colon brothers cleared the ring of Rhodes and Manu, Punk seized the priceless victory, hitting DiBiase with the GTS.

Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix def. Divas Champion Michelle McCool. Maryse distracts Michelle. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The Sexiest Women on Television surrounded the ring in a historic Divas Lumberjack Match – the first time ever that the Women’s Champion met the Divas Champion head-to-head. At the conclusion of the match-up, The Glamazon took advantage of two different interactions between Michelle and Lumberjack Maryse to hit the Glam Slam and walk out of Green Bay triumphant.

NEWS/VIDEO FROM THURSDAY'S "iMPACT!" BROADCAST: MICK FOLEY'S ROLE AT BOUND FOR GLORY, JEFF JARRETT LASHES OUT AT KURT ANGLE, JOE AND STING GO POINT/COUNTERPOINT AND MUCH MORE

There are several news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" as TNA Wrestling prepares for the upcoming "Bound For Glory" Pay-Per-View spectacular on Sunday, October 12!

    - On the broadcast, TNA founder Jeff Jarrett had some very candid and angry words for Kurt Angle regarding a recent interview he did in the United Kingdom's "Daily Star" newspaper regarding his old boss, Vince McMahon. To get back at the Olympian, Jarrett aired footage of Angle from when he first came to TNA, including Kurt hammering McMahon. For his comments about TNA, Management Director Jim Cornette fined Angle $25,000!

    - Wrestling icon Mick Foley made his first TNA Wrestling in-ring appearance and talked about leaving the WWE and some of the reasons he wanted to come to TNA! However, Foley was interrupted by an angry Kurt Angle. Before the broadcast ended, Foley dropped a bombshell by telling Angle he will be the special guest enforcer for the Jarrett vs. Angle match at "Bound For Glory" on October 12 in Chicago!

    - In the Monster's Ball Qualifying match, The Latin American Xchange defeated The Motor City Machineguns to advance to the PPV bout. Later in the broadcast, after some trashing talking by Beer Money, Inc. brought out all the teams involved in the PPV bout, Jim Cornette stuck it to Beer Money by announcing the Monster's Ball match would now be for their TNA World Tag Team Championship! TNAwrestling.com has also revealed that former Chicago Bears star and wrestling personality Steve "Mongo" McMichael will return to the wrestling spotlight at Bound For Glory to be the special referee for the match!

    - In a X Division Championship match, Sheik Abdul Bashir retained the gold by beating Jimmy Rave and Eric Young when he beat EY. After the bout, Bashir took great joy in making referee Shane Sewell raise his arm in victory.

    - In six man action, the alliance of Booker T and Team 3D defeated AJ Styles, Christian Cage and Jay Lethal after more miscommunication between Cage and Styles.

    - In Knockouts tag team action, the tandem of ODB and Rhaka Khan beat The Beautiful People when Rhaka got the pin. After the bout, Cute Kip came out to help Angelina and Velvet attack ODB and Rhaka, but Rhino hit the ring for the save!

While original estimates had Orton returning to the ring in late October, there is a chance he'll be kept out of action until the PPV just to be safe. There are also hopes that John Cena will be healthy in time Survivor Series as well, since the event is being held in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

    Update over the undertaker

Big update on The Undertaker's health

    source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- Undertaker was noticeably limping in the ring during certain spots in his matches on the overseas tour last week as one of his knees is bothering him. Taker had arthroscopic surgery during his time off and his knee was in worse shape than first thought. Additionally, he's in the beginning stages of arthritis. Following surgery, the expectation was that he'd be ready to return for good at his Hell in a Cell match with Edge at SummerSlam, but he took a few more weeks off from doing anything physical. Despite the lingering injury, he's still being booked on house shows in tag matches and his TV taping dark matches are usually kept short. It's been noted that he's often in tremendous pain backstage, but never complains about it and usually doesn't show it in the ring.

    JEFF HARDY IN PROBLEMEN????

Is Jeff Hardy in the WWE doghouse or not?

Jeff Hardy doesn't appear to be in any serious trouble following an incident at the Nashville International Airport two weeks ago, reports prowrestling.NET. An airport official deemed Hardy too intoxicated to take a flight home, and he wasn't allowed to board his scheduled flight as a result. A number officials breathed sighs of relief as some feared it was something more serious. However, the incident didn't help his standing in the company obviously, but it didn't really hurt it. Also, a number of his friends haven't noticed any signs to indicate that he's slipping back into his old habits, although, there were no red flags when he failed a drug test earlier in the year either.

Ex-Horsemen member to return at Bound For Glory

    From TNAWrestling:

Chicago Bears Legend Steve McMichael Returns To The Wrestling Ring At “Bound For Glory IV” In Chicago

Steve McMichael is returning to the world of professional wrestling!

McMichael, the popular, charismatic former Chicago Bears defensive tackle who was a full-time pro wrestler for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in the late-1990s, will be a Special Guest Referee at TNA’s “Bound For Glory IV” set for Sunday, Oct. 12, from the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter said McMichael’s role at “Bound For Glory IV” will be to “maintain peace, if at all possible,” in the Monster’s Ball match, featuring four tag teams: TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Team 3D, The Latin American Xchange, and the tandem of “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan and Abyss.

“The Monster’s Ball match at ‘Bound For Glory’ has the potential to be one of the violent, out of control wrestling matches ever held inside TNA’s six-sided ring,” Carter said. “Steve McMichael is a Chicago icon with a solid pro wrestling past. We knew he was one of the only Chicagoans possibly qualified to potentially maintain order in this match. We’re thrilled Steve accepted our offer to be part of TNA’s biggest pay-per-view of the year.”

Visit www.searscenter.com to order tickets for “Bound For Glory IV”

The event will be available on InDemand, DirecTV, Dish Network, TVN, Viewer's Choice Canada and more. Call your local cable or satellite provider for availability.

The "Bound For Glory IV" weekend kicks off Oct. 11 with TNA's popular Fan Interaction, where fans will get to meet the in-ring stars of TNA, get their autograph and have a photo taken alongside the stars of TNA. Tickets are available at ShopTNA.com

Update on Kevin Nash's status with TNA

Update on Kevin Nash's status with TNA

    Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Many have described Kevin Nash's current situation with TNA as very weird as those within TNA stated Nash did fax a contract back to the company last week and key people internally were told he signed. Nash stated on last week's In Your Head radio show that he has yet to sign a new deal with TNA.

The feeling was that TNA could have been starting an angle when they pulled his profile from the website, although that doesn't appear to be likely. The other scenario is that Nash did fax the contract back and didn't agree to merchandising terms, although that isn't clear right now either. The belief among many within TNA is that Nash has signed and will remain with the company as it appears he has agreed to most terms and is simply telling friends he hasn't signed officially yet.
