Dolph Ziggler doet zijn verhaal over zijn schorsing

Dolph Ziggler talks about being suspended

In an interview with The Herald-Dispatch, Dolph Ziggler finally breaks his silence on his 30-day suspension last year for his first violation of WWE's drug testing policy.

"That was a worse case scenario," Ziggler admitted. "Be careful what you get into and who you are associated with. It can easily be taken away. I had month to think it over. I said I won't make that mistake again."

Ziggler says getting a championship belt around his waist is one of many goals he has.

"I get a tryout, a contract, a callup, a win," he said. "The Intercontinental Championship is the goal now. I want to become the best IC champion ever and move on."

Considering he's only 29 years old, he feels he has a bright future ahead of him.

"A lot of guys are in their mid-30s," he said. "I need to get more solid. In the future I look to be one of the leaders in the locker room."

Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Maria Menounos def. Beth Phoenix, Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes
Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes def. WWE Champion Randy Orton & John Cena

INDIANAPOLIS – Sure, Access Hollywood host Nancy O’Dell comes off as a doe-eyed sweetheart with a disarming smile, but wow, that beautiful lady sure knows how to throw one heck of a party. Just ask the WWE Universe members who packed Indy’s Conseco Fieldhouse.

Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes def. WWE Champion Randy Orton & John Cena (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In an unbelievable turn of events, Ted DiBiase seized a perfect opportunity to teach his mentor, WWE Champion Randy Orton, a lesson. DiBiase teamed with his Legacy partner Cody Rhodes against Orton and Orton’s WWE Bragging Rights opponent, John Cena. The younger alliance held their own in a surprisingly physical match in which Orton had refused to tag out his partner, essentially allowing the bout to become a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. While the two “partners” attempted to outmaneuver one another, Cena finally managed to lift DiBiase for an Attitude Adjustment.

That’s when Orton kicked, hinting at a 3-on-1 pummeling. DiBiase, however, had other ideas. The young Superstar, who has maintained a contentious relationship with his mentor, instead seized the opportunity to pin Orton for the three-count. As Rhodes & DiBiase quickly headed up the exit ramp, The Viper seethed. His troubles, though, were not finished. Cena grabbed his WWE Bragging Rights opponent and administered a particularly brutal Attitude Adjustment to punctuate Orton’s nightmare.

United States Champion The Miz announced his match against Intercontinental Champion John Morrison at WWE Bragging Rights (PHOTOS)
He’s The Miz, and he’s … fighting SmackDown’s John Morrison at WWE Bragging Rights. The United States Champion gleefully announced the match, noting that his opponent is not only the Intercontinental Champion, but also Miz’s former tag team partner and “Dirt Sheet” co-host.

Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Maria Menounos def. Beth Phoenix, Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes (PHOTOS | WATCH)
If you happen to see Beth Phoenix, a word of advice: Do your level best not to anger her, she is likely to snap at any moment. First, she learned that she has been traded from Raw to SmackDown in the huge tri-branded Divas trade. Secondly, The Glamazon, along with her tag team partners Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Raw special correspondent and Access Hollywood host Maria Menounos.

Snoop Dogg to host Raw next week
Snoop Dogg will be honored next Monday night when he joins the growing list of celebrities who have been honored with hosting duties on Monday Night Raw.

Kofi Kingston def. Evan Bourne to qualify for Team Raw (PHOTOS | WATCH)
He may have let the United States Championship slip from his grasp last week, but Kofi Kingston has proved nothing if not resilient. The dreadlocked Superstar demonstrated just how tough he can be by defeating Evan Bourne to secure his spot on Team Raw at WWE Bragging Rights.

Jack Swagger def. MVP to qualify for Team Raw (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After months of bad blood flowing between Jack Swagger and MVP, the cultures clashed in a WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match. This time, “The All-American American” emerged victorious and qualified for Team Raw.

Cody Rhodes def. Ted DiBiase and John Cena in a Triple Threat WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match; Rhodes & DiBiase vs. Cena & Orton later in the evening (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Despite having to face off against his trusted partner, Cody Rhodes nonetheless put aside his loyalties in order to seize a spot on Team Raw for WWE Bragging Rights. The young Rhodes even pinned his Legacy partner Ted DiBiase, as the third man in the Triple Threat Match, John Cena, found himself distracted by his WWE Bragging Rights opponent, WWE Champion Randy Orton.

After the contentious bout, DiBiase appeared so irate that he nearly exchanged blows with his partner. That was hardly the only surprise. Special guest host Nancy O’Dell shocked the foursome when she announced a Tag Team Match for later in the evening: Rhodes & DiBiase would face Cena and his partner, Randy Orton!

Melina def. Divas Champion Jillian Hall (WATCH)
Moments after securing the Divas Championship from Mickie James, Jillian Hall was forced to defend the title against Melina thanks to Raw’s special guest host Nancy O’Dell initiating a huge tri-brand Divas trade. The former SmackDown Diva made quick work of Jillian on her way to netting the golden butterfly.

Jillian def. Divas Champion Mickie James; tri-branded Divas trade announced (PHOTOS | WATCH | FULL STORY)
The good news for Jillian: In a jaw-plunging upset, the tone-deaf Diva managed to unseat Mickie James to capture the Divas Championship.

The bad news: Her celebration was cut short by Raw’s special guest host Nancy O’Dell, who informed Jillian that she had called the General Managers of SmackDown and ECW, Theodore Long and Tiffany respectively and struck a deal for a huge Divas trade. Therefore, Jillian would be forced to defend her newly acquired title against Raw’s latest acquisition, Melina.

Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase vs. John Cena in a Triple Threat WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match announced
Triple H sure knows how to rub it in. Eight days after punishing his Hell in a Cell opponents, The Legacy, the DX destroyer pitted Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase against one another in a Triple Threat WWE Bragging Rights Qualifying Match to determine who will join Team Raw. Oh, and the third Superstar in the ring? None other than John Cena.

Big Show def. Chris Jericho to qualify for Team Raw (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Big Show proved that he is indeed his own man when he broke from his Unified Tag Team Champion partner, Chris Jericho. The two had quarreled earlier about who was more important to the team when Triple H arranged a match between the two. The outcome would determine whether or not The World’s Largest Athlete would qualify to become a member of Team Raw at WWE Bragging Rights. Show proved he has what it takes by notching the victory over his petulant partner.

Triple H arranged Big Show vs. Chris Jericho (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Chris Jericho has never been shy about exercising his right to free speech. Unfortunately for the WWE Universe, there’s such a thing as too much exercise. As the self-important Superstar, and captain of the SmackDown team for the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights pay-per-view, geared up to convince the audience of the superiority of his brand, Raw’s special guest host Nancy O’Dell of Access Hollywood pulled the plug, instead giving the floor over to Raw’s team captains for WWE Bragging Rights, D-Generation X. Only one problem: a Shawn Michaels stand-in approached the ring with Triple H since the real Michaels was busy at home nursing a sick daughter.

HBK’s partner Triple H phoned him and wished his daughter a speedy recovery before Jericho barged in, this time with help from his Unified Tag Team Champion partner, Big Show. The confrontation took an unexpected turn when Jericho & Show began bickering about who had been carrying their team. Before the dust settled, Show told Jericho that instead of fighting for the SmackDown team, he would battle for Raw at WWE Bragging Rights. The Game, however, had other ideas. Triple H notified Show that he would have to earn his way on the Raw team by fighting an opponent of The Game’s choosing: Chris Jericho!

In addition to the two announced trades, the following Diva brand exchanges were revealed tonight on WWE.com:

Traci Brooks niet op de cover van Playboy door......Marge Simpson?

    TraciBrooks1.jpg Traci Brooks 2 image by Signguy_HP
Traci Brooks pushed aside by... Marge Simpson?

It's been noted several times that TNA Knockout Traci Brooks was bumped from the cover of the November 2009 issue of Playboy in favor of the late Farrah Fawcett. As it turns out, the golden-haired sex symbol of the late 1970s is not gracing the cover either.

In a publishing first, the cover of Playboy was given to a cartoon character — Marge Simpson. The November issue is a tribute to "America's most dysfunctional family" — The Simpsons — who are celebrating their 20th anniversary on television this year.

WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool def. Eve
WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison def. Dolph Ziggler
Drew McIntyre & Kane def. R-Truth & Matt Hardy
CM Punk def. Batista by Count-out

TRENTON, N.J. - With Hell in a Cell behind the WWE Universe and WWE Bragging Rights rapidly approaching, several of SmackDown’s fierce competitors showcased exactly what they have to brag about. But, it was the announcement of a monumental pay-per-view match that inspired three Superstars, while stacking the odds against The Phenom holding the World Heavyweight Title.

CM Punk def. Batista by Count-out (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Bitter about losing the World Heavyweight Championship to The Undertaker, CM Punk was disgusted to not hear SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announce an automatic title rematch. It appeared, however, The Straightedge Superstar would get his wish when Mr. McMahon arrived. Not exactly.

After expressing some displeasure with Teddy Long that seemed to suggest his opinion that the GM is continuing to provoke the World Heavyweight Champ, the WWE Chairman told Punk he will have the opportunity to reclaim the gold at WWE Bragging Rights. But, “The Second City Saint” won’t be the only one to have a chance. Mr. McMahon introduced a Fatal-4-Way Match for the title that will require The Deadman to defend his championship against Punk, Rey Mysterio and Batista. (PHOTOS)

The night didn’t get any easier for Punk as he had to deal with The Animal in the main event. Despite outsmarting Batista to win by count-out, the former three-time World Heavyweight Champion couldn’t escape a bone-crushing Batista Bomb after the match had ended. Was this a sign of things to come for Punk? Or will he be the one celebrating with the title at WWE Bragging Rights? (PREVIEW)

Rey Mysterio def. Chris Jericho (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Ecstatic over the opportunity to capture the World Title at WWE Bragging Rights, Rey Mysterio utilized that motivation to get some payback from what transpired at Hell in a Cell when he and Batista lost to Big Show & Chris Jericho for the Unified Tag Team Championship. The masked wonder escaped the Walls of Jericho and dialed up the 619 for the impressive victory.

Women’s Champion Michelle McCool def. Eve Torres (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Last week on the “Decade of SmackDown” special, Women’s Champion Michelle McCool used some assistance from Beth Phoenix to retain the gold against Melina in a Divas Lumberjack Match. The smart, sexy and powerful champion didn’t require support against Eve this week as a wicked kick to the jaw ended her opponent’s night in a flash.

Intercontinental Champion John Morrison def. Dolph Ziggler (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison may want to thank SmackDown Diva Maria for her choice of rest.  In a rematch from Hell in a Cell, The Guru of Greatness retained his title after Dolph Ziggler’s plan of attack didn’t go as planned. The beach blonde Superstar placed a steel chair next to the ring, but Maria decided to use it to sit down. The Shaman of Sexy took full advantage of Ziggler and Maria’s disorder as he performed the Flying Chuck kick to seal the deal. Afterwards, Ziggler was so upset with the Diva that he ended their personal relationship. (WATCH)

Drew McIntyre & Kane def. R-Truth & Matt Hardy (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Drew McIntyre & Kane looked extremely impressive in their first tag team action together as they stomped on R-Truth and Matt Hardy. McIntyre, who was personally signed to the SmackDown roster by Mr. McMahon, finished the match with a Double Underhook DDT on Hardy.

World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker fears no one (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The Undertaker addressed the WWE Universe for the first time since winning his seventh World Championship. The Deadman declared that CM Punk escaped Hell in a Cell in one piece, but that he will claim his soul at WWE Bragging Rights. The Phenom also stated that Batista’s strength and rage will not be enough to save him, and that despite his legendary heart and courage, Mysterio will not be granted any mercy.

Steve austin verteld over conversatie met jeff hardy

Steve Austin talks about Jeff Hardy's issues

During an interview with the UK Sun this week to promote his new movie Damage, WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin says he’s spoken to former WWE superstar Jeff Hardy about his ongoing issues, but you can only do so much to help another person.

“I called him a while back and talked to him,” he said. “He’s a good looking kid, he’s got a really unique style, people love him, he has his own kind of charisma. I wish he could put it all together and get his personal demons behind him. He got caught with a lot of stuff and we’ll see what happens.”

Austin said he’s reached out to other WWE superstars when he they were having issues with drug addiction.

“I’ve called a few guys when I hear some of them getting into problems,” he said. “I try to give my two cents to the situation. They’ll all swear that everything is cool, it turns out things aren’t cool. [Vince McMahon] has offered to pay for rehab for anybody who wants it. Some people have taken him up on it, some people haven’t. I get made when people point the finger at Vince and say it’s his fault. It’s not his fault. He’s a third generation promoter who runs a wrestling company. I take responsibility for all my actions. I think everybody should. I refuse to think that it’s Vince McMahon’s fault for any of this.”

He said Jeff Hardy has a unique situation for WWE. One hand hand, he’s one of the most charismatic and popular superstars on the roster, but there’s such a risk of him screwing up that they’ve never been able to fully get behind him.

“Man. This last thing I just heard about the other day when I was driving back from Texas to L.A.,” he said. “They never gave that guy a full green light push, but you can’t keep him down. All the calamity and trouble he gets into, but people love him. If they ever fully gave him a green light push, who knows what would happen? But you can’t do that because you don’t know what he’s going to do because all of a sudden you have all of this time and money invested and then he screws up. So who knows what’s going to come out of it, if he’s going to do time or whatever. He has some serious stuff going against him.”

MANTEL PRAAT OVER UNDERTAKER VAN VOOR HIJ EEN STER WERD

The Undertaker: Before he was a star

Former TNA creative team member Dutch Mantel has posted a blog this week where he talks about working with The Undertaker before he became a star. Mantel wrote on TheWorldAccordingToDutch.blogspot.com:

"When I first became acquainted with Mark, he was the complete opposite of what he is today. His hair was cropped short and he had no tattoos. When I first laid eyes on him, he actually looked too clean cut to be a wrestler. Today, he is a walking tat advert. He turned out to be a great guy and for a man his size, he moved like silk"

He continued, "At first glance, Mark had all the physical tools to succeed in the pro wrestling business. He had the size, the look and the raw talent to be a HUGE star. His next hurdle he would face would be to decide if he possessed the temperament to succeed. Over the next several months, I got to know Mark Calaway's temperament very well and he passed the test."

    Ted DiBiase def. Evan Bourne
Shelton Benjamin def. Sheamus by Disqualification
Cryme Tyme def. The Hart Dynasty

“WWE Superstars” on WGN America saw a surplus of electrifying in-ring action on Thursday. With Superstars such as Evan Bourne, Sheamus and Cryme Tyme in competition, the night offered the WWE Universe a chance to see several of WWE’s rising sensations and fan favorites.

It was a sweet homecoming for The Hart Dynasty when they returned to their Canadian roots and defeated Cryme Tyme last month in tag team action on SmackDown in Ontario. On “WWE Superstars”, however, it was Shad & JTG’s turn to flourish near their hometown.

Not too far from Brooklyn N.Y., where the two superstars originate from, Shad & JTG merited a triumph over David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd, thanks to some help from Eve. The Diva diverted Smith, allowing Shad to apply Thugnificent and followed it up with the pin. Although the win gave Cryme Tyme the upper-hand in this ongoing rivalry, The Hart Dynasty has shown they are extremely resilient and will no doubt seek retribution.

Shelton Benjamin def. Sheamus by Disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It was clear Sheamus’ goal was to inflict as much pain on Shelton Benjamin as possible during their highly-anticipated match on “WWE Superstars.” After interfering in The Gold Standard’s eventual triumph over Paul Burchill on ECW on Syfy last week and injuring Benjamin’s left shoulder, The Celtic Warrior did not decelerate. Despite being disqualified for not following the referee’s several warnings, Sheamus continued to attack Benjamin, and left the WWE Universe wondering how this rivalry will continue Tuesdays on ECW.

Ted DiBiase def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Evan Bourne couldn’t have asked for a worse time to square off against Ted DiBiase. Last Sunday at Hell in a Cell, The Legacy suffered a vicious defeat to DX inside the 20-foot-tall steel structure. Cody Rhodes was ultimately carried out of the arena on a stretcher, and on “WWE Superstars,” DiBiase, as a result, took his frustrations out on his opponent. Following a special dedication to his injured tag team partner, DiBiase dismantled “Air” Bourne with a series of punishing moves, including a devastating Dream Street for the victory.

    Keert Umaga terug naar wwe?

Umaga making his return to WWE?

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Umaga has claimed that he will be returning to WWE. He was scheduled to participate in a shoot interview in the near future, however he has since backed out claiming that he is returning to WWE and therefore cannot do the interview. It should be noted, however, that he may have just used the WWE return excuse as a way of getting out of the interview if he simply changed his mind and didn't want to do it. We will have more on this developing story as it becomes available.

Word de wwe/world heavyweight championship belt veranderd?

The WWE/World Title belts being changed?

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

Apparently WWE is planning on introducing a new Heavyweight belt to television soon and perhaps some other belts will be changed as well. Not much else is known on this but it's possible that that one of the top title belts gets a new look.

What you didn't see on this weeks raw

Lots of live notes from this week's RAW

Neil Trama sent along the following:

I just got back from the live Raw in Wilkes Barre, PA and thought I'd send along some notes.

    Dark Match:
-Jamie Noble beat Heath Slater with a sunset flip.

    Superstars:
-Ted DiBiasi beat Evan Bourne with Dreamstreet.

    Post Show:

DX and the Steelers celebrated at ringside with the fans. Did a lot of hand shaking and posing but that was all. Justin Roberts wished us goodnight.

Not a ton of stuff happened but it was a very fun show. I've been to every WWE show in this arena since they started coming in 2002 and this was among the best shows live. No real dull spots and the crowd was very into it. Can't speak for the rest of the country but our crowds were always filled with backwards nostalgic Attitude era fans (lots of old Austin/nWo/Rock shirts, "what" chants, etc.) but tonight was almost all kids with their parents and fans who seemed really into today's product, which was nice to see.

A kid got hurt going for Cena's cap. I didn't see the injury happen but I was told he tried running down from the 100 level to ringside to get it, tripped, and fell down the stairs. He had to be stretchered out during the Swagger/Primo match.

    Biggest pops:
    --Cena
    --DX
--Jeff Hardy in the video packages

    Biggest heat:
--Ben Roethlisberger's introduction (didn't get booed again after his first time out)
    --The Miz
--CM Punk on video packages (maybe the crowd didn't like the way he was dressed.)
--Orton and JeriShow also got great heat from the fans you'd expect to boo them but they also got a good amount of both "we're cool and cheer heels" cheers and "we know you're a bad guy but you're also a big star so yay that you're in our hick town" reactions.
