Former WWE superstar Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson is the new World Champion for the Nu Wrestling Evolution promotion. He won the title at a live event in Malta on October 2nd, after defeating former WWE superstar Chuck Palumbo & Tiny Iron in a three way match.
Former TNA creative team member Dutch Mantel has posted a blog this week where he talks about working with The Undertaker before he became a star. Mantel wrote on TheWorldAccordingToDutch.blogspot.com:
"When I first became acquainted with Mark, he was the complete opposite of what he is today. His hair was cropped short and he had no tattoos. When I first laid eyes on him, he actually looked too clean cut to be a wrestler. Today, he is a walking tat advert. He turned out to be a great guy and for a man his size, he moved like silk"
He continued, "At first glance, Mark had all the physical tools to succeed in the pro wrestling business. He had the size, the look and the raw talent to be a HUGE star. His next hurdle he would face would be to decide if he possessed the temperament to succeed. Over the next several months, I got to know Mark Calaway's temperament very well and he passed the test."

Cryme Tyme def. The Hart Dynasty (PHOTOS | WATCH) It was a sweet homecoming for The Hart Dynasty when they returned to their Canadian roots and defeated Cryme Tyme last month in tag team action on SmackDown in Ontario. On WWE Superstars, however, it was Shad & JTGs turn to flourish near their hometown.
Not too far from Brooklyn N.Y., where the two superstars originate from, Shad & JTG merited a triumph over David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd, thanks to some help from Eve. The Diva diverted Smith, allowing Shad to apply Thugnificent and followed it up with the pin. Although the win gave Cryme Tyme the upper-hand in this ongoing rivalry, The Hart Dynasty has shown they are extremely resilient and will no doubt seek retribution.
Shelton Benjamin def. Sheamus by Disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH) It was clear Sheamus goal was to inflict as much pain on Shelton Benjamin as possible during their highly-anticipated match on WWE Superstars. After interfering in The Gold Standards eventual triumph over Paul Burchill on ECW on Syfy last week and injuring Benjamins left shoulder, The Celtic Warrior did not decelerate. Despite being disqualified for not following the referees several warnings, Sheamus continued to attack Benjamin, and left the WWE Universe wondering how this rivalry will continue Tuesdays on ECW.
Ted DiBiase def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH) Evan Bourne couldnt have asked for a worse time to square off against Ted DiBiase. Last Sunday at Hell in a Cell, The Legacy suffered a vicious defeat to DX inside the 20-foot-tall steel structure. Cody Rhodes was ultimately carried out of the arena on a stretcher, and on WWE Superstars, DiBiase, as a result, took his frustrations out on his opponent. Following a special dedication to his injured tag team partner, DiBiase dismantled Air Bourne with a series of punishing moves, including a devastating Dream Street for the victory.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Umaga has claimed that he will be returning to WWE. He was scheduled to participate in a shoot interview in the near future, however he has since backed out claiming that he is returning to WWE and therefore cannot do the interview. It should be noted, however, that he may have just used the WWE return excuse as a way of getting out of the interview if he simply changed his mind and didn't want to do it. We will have more on this developing story as it becomes available.
Apparently WWE is planning on introducing a new Heavyweight belt to television soon and perhaps some other belts will be changed as well. Not much else is known on this but it's possible that that one of the top title belts gets a new look.
I just got back from the live Raw in Wilkes Barre, PA and thought I'd send along some notes.
Dark Match: -Jamie Noble beat Heath Slater with a sunset flip.
Superstars: -Ted DiBiasi beat Evan Bourne with Dreamstreet.
Post Show:
DX and the Steelers celebrated at ringside with the fans. Did a lot of hand shaking and posing but that was all. Justin Roberts wished us goodnight.
Not a ton of stuff happened but it was a very fun show. I've been to every WWE show in this arena since they started coming in 2002 and this was among the best shows live. No real dull spots and the crowd was very into it. Can't speak for the rest of the country but our crowds were always filled with backwards nostalgic Attitude era fans (lots of old Austin/nWo/Rock shirts, "what" chants, etc.) but tonight was almost all kids with their parents and fans who seemed really into today's product, which was nice to see.
A kid got hurt going for Cena's cap. I didn't see the injury happen but I was told he tried running down from the 100 level to ringside to get it, tripped, and fell down the stairs. He had to be stretchered out during the Swagger/Primo match.
Biggest pops: --Cena --DX --Jeff Hardy in the video packages
Biggest heat: --Ben Roethlisberger's introduction (didn't get booed again after his first time out) --The Miz --CM Punk on video packages (maybe the crowd didn't like the way he was dressed.) --Orton and JeriShow also got great heat from the fans you'd expect to boo them but they also got a good amount of both "we're cool and cheer heels" cheers and "we know you're a bad guy but you're also a big star so yay that you're in our hick town" reactions.
As we noted, CM PUNK has some heat with management due to an incident on the recent European tour.
According to sources, there was apparently an issue on Punk's dress code during the tour. The story goes that at one point Undertaker pulled him aside and explained that he's the World champion and representing the WWE brand and name overseas, so he should dress better. Punk reportedly said something along the lines of "what about John Cena?" which wasn't taken very well.
Thanks to Agahzi & ProWrestling.net for the following:
Good crowd on hand. I'm happy WWE is finally doing shows in Newark. The arena is gorgeous. The crowd was very into Randy Orton. There was a huge pop when he pinned John Cena. When Cena walked out after the match, he was booed.
Also, huge pop for Jerishow winning. There were a decent amount of boos for Batista's offense.
During the main event, there was a small "get the hammer" chant for Triple H. The crowd wanted to be into it but it was paced so slow with Shawn Michaels taking a beating the whole time. After the match, DX went around ringside and shook hands and signed a fee autographs. Ted DiBiase got up and flipped out as Cody Rhodes was stretchered out. That was pretty much it.
Oh yeah, that was me screaming during Mickie James's match. We won!
- Things don't get easier for Lacey Von Erich in TNA. After being reprimanded for her comments toward Angelina Love, Von Erich suffered an embrassing moment during this week's TNA Impact tapings in Orlando, Florida. During the Knockouts elimination match, Von Erich made a run-in but tripped on her way down, which got a big laugh from fans who are attending the television taping.
There was an incident prior to the main event where Scott Steiner tore up a Swiss flag for cheap heat causing fans to toss beer cans at the ringside area, and one fan even tossed a plastic chair, which Steiner violently launched back into the crowd. Booker T and Sharmell then stormed backstage leading to Bashir replacing Booker in the match.

Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov def. Tommy Dreamer & Goldust Yoshi Tatsu def. William Regal ECW Champion Christian def. Zack Ryder (Non-Title Match)
TRENTON, N.J. ECWs esteemed General Manager, Tiffany, has returned to The Land of the Extreme, attempting to restore order to Tuesday nights. But once again, despite some setbacks, William Regal and his minions were the Superstars standing tall at the end of ECW on Syfy this week.
Tiffany returns to ECW (PHOTOS | WATCH) Seizing the power as interim General Manager of ECW, William Regal quickly declared himself the new No. 1 contender to the ECW Title at the opening of ECW on Syfy. But before he could act upon his plan, he was quickly contested by Zack Ryder and ECW Champion Christian. Captain Charisma pointed out to Regal and Ryder that there are others who have done more to earn a chance at the ECW Title, including Sovereign Bank Arenas hard-working custodian, Angelo; everyones favorite laughing WWE Hall of Famer, Tony Atlas; and the most-deserving, Yoshi Tatsu. The Japanese Superstar has pinned both Regal and Ryder in the last few weeks. But it wasnt Christians choice as to who hed defend his gold against next, its returning General Manager Tiffanys decision. And while the Diva said she wasnt ready to declare a new No. 1 contender, she did announce that John Cena could possibly come to ECW, depending on the outcome of his WWE Bragging Rights Iron Man Match against Randy Orton. Tiffany also announced the evenings matches: Christian vs. Ryder, Tatsu vs. Regal and Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov in tag team action!
Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov def. Tommy Dreamer & Goldust (PHOTOS | WATCH) William Regals devious associates, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov, once again proved why theyre seemingly unstoppable as a tag team. While Tommy Dreamer & Goldust put up a formidable fight, Regals dominant duo prevailed when Jackson pinned the ECW Original. Which Superstars will dare step into the ring to challenge Jackson & Kozlov next? Can anyone halt this unstoppable force?
Yoshi Tatsu def. William Regal (PHOTOS | WATCH) After Tiffany returned to de-throne Regal as interim General Manager of ECW, The British Brawlers night got a bit worse when he was defeated by Yoshi Tatsu, the Superstar who pinned him last week during an ECW Tag Team Match. The Japanese Superstar has been on a winning streak lately, and this week his victory really came at Regals expense. The ECW referee didnt notice that the British Superstars foot was under the rope during Tatsus pin, costing him the win. While Tatsu celebrated another success, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov emerged to help Regal argue the call. After two losses to Tatsu, will Regal try to get revenge on him? Who will the exciting, young Tatsu get in the ring with next?
ECW Champion Christian def. Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH) Zack Ryder got his wish for the main event of ECW on Syfy a rematch with ECW Champion Christian. But this non-title bout didnt end favorably for either competitor. A ringside-seated William Regal dispatched his associates, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov, to attack Captain Charisma during the match, giving the ECW Champion the victory by disqualification.
Then, as the fallen ECW Champion was left in the ring, Ryder, who was angry that Regals associates cost him the match, was next to be attacked by them. Despite Regals setbacks during the night, he once again stood tall at the end of ECW on Syfy. The WWE Universe is left to wonder, is all of this chaos part of Regals plan to dominate The Land of the Extreme? Have Regal, Jackson & Kozlov taken full control of ECW?
