United States Champion Kofi Kingston def. The Miz (PHOTOS | WATCH) Over the past several weeks, The Miz and Jack Swagger have both made the United States Champions life a nightmare, but on WWE Superstars, Kingston gained some momentum heading into Hell in a Cell with a win over The Miz. After controlling the early part of the match, Kofi looked to be in dire straits when the self-proclaimed Chick Magnet started focusing on one of Kingstons legs, taking out a key dimension of the champions offense. However, just when it all looked to be over for Kofi, he mustered up everything he had, nailing The Miz with Trouble in Paradise and picking up the pin.
Unfortunately, the momentum Kingston sought to gain was plucked away from him when Jack Swagger decimated the champion and The Miz during Kofis celebration. In the end, both Kingston and the self-proclaimed Chick Magnet laid incapacitated thanks to a vicious kick and a gutwrench powerbomb respectively, leaving Swagger standing tall and holding Kingstons title high above his head. With the way things have been going between these three, who will walk out of Hell in a Cell United States Champion is anybodys guess.
Sheamus def. Tyler Reks (PHOTOS | WATCH) Only two days after The Celtic Warrior punished Shelton Benjamin prior to his match on ECW on Scyfy, Sheamus turned his focus on another opponent and successfully defeated Tyler Reks in one-on-one action. Countering the extreme athletes speed and agility, the son of the Eire used his power to ground Reks and control much of the match. In the end, when it looked like the California native was mounting a comeback, The Celtic Warrior caught him off-guard with a devastating punt kick to the face and covered his opponent for the three-count.
Shad def. Tyson Kidd (PHOTOS | WATCH) Certainly not strangers to each other in any way, Shad and Tyson Kidd faced off in a classic size-versus-speed match-up with the Brooklyn native picking up the win.
Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty have gone back and forth against each other in several different battles over the past few months, with the scales not tipping significantly in either direction. Smartly, Kidd focused on his opponents leg throughout the match, leaving Shad prone to the student of the Hart Dungeons technical and speedy maneuvers. However, the powerhouse of Cryme Tyme capitalized on one miscue by his opponent, slamming him down to the mat with a devastating reverse Russian legsweep for the win. One thing is for sure, things are far from over between The Brooklyn Boys and The Hart Dynasty.
Matt Hardy posted the following on his MySpace blog:
They Prove Me Right Again
Last night, since almost every WWE personality was in Boston for The Decade Of Smackdown show, we all went out to eat after the show last night. A huge tab ended up being comped, which was very cool. Everyone was gonna leave generous tips because the meal was free obviously, and we wanted to take care of our servers. I was one of the last ones to leave, and was figuring up the tip. The tip wasn't as good as I would have liked it to have been from a couple of the guys. So I left an extremely large tip at the end before leaving. I joked and said it was a sin that I had to pay for other people's mistakes and cheapness. I bet a couple of my closest WWE friends that if I posted a tweet rephrasing the situation as "I am exhausted from being punished because of someone else's sins", that the wrestling media would pick up that comment and run with it as something completely different. Low and behold, almost every site did. It's not surprising that I won the bet, it's exactly what I anticipated happening. Just another example of how they're looking for any comment they can to translate however into hits for their site and reader views. So take it from me, don't believe everything you read-fact is rarely separated from fiction when it comes to any branch of the "media entertainment market."
- Matt Hardy, who has only been appearing on WWE Superstars as of late, wrote on his Twitter page last night that he was tired of being punished because of someone elses sins.

Shelton Benjamin def. Paul Burchill ECW Champion Christian, Yoshi Tatsu, Tommy Dreamer & Goldust def. Zack Ryder, William Regal, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov
BOSTON As interim General Manager of ECW, William Regal aimed to make ECW Champion Christians Tuesday night an evening he wouldnt want to remember. Instead, The British Brawler himself ended up having a night he wouldnt soon forget.
ECW Champion Christian, Yoshi Tatsu, Tommy Dreamer & Goldust def. Zack Ryder, William Regal, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov (PHOTOS | WATCH) In the absence of ECW General Manager Tiffany, none other than William Regal filled in for the injured Diva. As interim General Manager, The British Brawler seized his power to change the ECW on Syfy main event from ECW Champion Christian vs. Zack Ryder to a 4-on-1 Handicap Match pitting Captain Charisma against himself, Ryder, Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov! (WATCH) But before Regal could dream about outnumbering the ECW Champion, WWEs Board of Directors informed him the main event would be an Eight-Man Tag Team Match also including Yoshi Tatsu, Tommy Dreamer & Goldust on Christians side. (WATCH)
After a pep talk from ECW Champion Christian (WATCH), his eclectic team of Superstars bonded together to take down the ruthless forces on Regals side. One of ECWs newest Superstars, Tatsu, showed off his increasingly impressive in-ring skills. After another high kick, the Japanese wonder pinned Regal to secure his teams victory.
Will Regal get his wish his chance at Christians gold? If not Regal, who will Christian defend his ECW Title against next? When will Tiffany return to restore order to ECW?
The Abraham Washington Show with Intercontinental Champion John Morrison (PHOTOS | WATCH) SmackDowns Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison, made a special appearance on The Abraham Washington Show Tuesday night. Morrison, who is a former ECW Champion, and the talk show host discussed the exciting events going on in WWE this week, including the Decade of SmackDown celebration which airs Friday, and Sundays Hell in a Cell, where hell defend his gold against Dolph Ziggler. Then, Morrisons brash, cocky pay-per-view challenger interrupted the critically-acclaimed talk show. But before Ziggler could offer his opinion, Washington informed him they were just out of time, and Morrison and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas bid a, Good night, Mr. Ziggles! (Get Atlas' voicetone)

Shelton Benjamin def. Paul Burchill (PHOTOS | WATCH) On this weeks ECW, Paul Burchill took a break from trying to prove his theory that Gregory Helms is The Hurricane to meet Shelton Benjamin in singles action. But The Gold Standard was attacked by Sheamus before the match and thrown into the ringpost by the Superstar he came to blows with last week on The Abraham Washington Show. Benjamin insisted on competing against Burchill, despite his injured left shoulder courtesy of The Celtic Warrior, and prevailed in their bout, pinning Burchill after hitting him with a devastating, shocking Pay Dirt. How will Benjamin seek retribution against Sheamus? When will these rivals finally meet in the ring?
According to a report on thewrestleblog.com, it was initially believed that new WWE Smackdown ring announcer Lauren Mayhew pulled from her ring announcing duties after the first dark match at the Smackdown/ECW tapings in Boston. However, she was actually scheduled to do only announce the first dark match.
The word is that she was missing her cues, perhaps due to confusion and/or nervousness. ECW announcer Josh Mathews for the rest of the taping.
"She was sort of scolded at ringside by Josh Mathews and WWE staff and then went backstage only to return some time later and sit at ringside the entire night," said thewrestleblog.com's Mike McMahon. "Mathews announced everything - including Smackdown - and Mayhew took notes all night long."
According to Mike Johnson, ECW General Manager Tiffany was not in a car accident despite what was claimed on tonight's edition of ECW. What actually happened was Tiffany suffered a broken arm or wrist taking a Dominator in a loss to Queen of FCW Mia Mancini at last Thursday's Florida Championship Wrestling TV taping in Florida.
TNA Knockout Hamada buried Naofumi Yamamoto (WWE's Yoshi Tatsu) in a recent interview with the Tokyo Sun newspaper in Japan. When asked about whether she ever wanted to go to WWE, she said:
"I can't work for WWE. I wouldn't normally object to it, but as long as Naofumi is there, I can't. We met up a few times in Japan and it was terrible. The man is a sleaze and is constantly trying to get a feel of any woman he comes across. When I was eating lunch one time, he sat on my lap and started running his fingers through my hair. When I told him to get off, he did. But he only sat next to me and started doing it again. He asked me for my number, but I wouldn't give it to him and walked away. He followed me and kept asking for it and even stood in front of the garbage can where I was to throw out my lunch. He literally grabbed my lunch from my hands and threw it out. I walked away, but he followed me again and kept tapping me on my shoulder. I wanted to hit him, but I'm not the physical type so I just kept on telling him off. He rubbed my hair again before walking away. On his way out, he blew me a kiss. I saw him a few more times after that, and the same things would happen. I can't be around that man and I hope those women in WWE stay as far away from him as possible. He's trouble."
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show def. MVP & Mark Henry Divas Champion Mickie James def. Rosa Mendes Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne Chris Masters & Chavo Guerrero def. Santino Marella & Hornswoggle WWE Champion John Cena def. Chris Jericho, Big Show & Randy Orton in a 3-on-1 Gauntlet Match
ALBANY, N.Y. - The Rev. Al Sharpton is as familiar with controversy as a pancake is with butter. As Raws special guest host, Sharpton seemed to take glee in whipping up a stack of contentious matches, even overseeing a title match that kicked off the festivities early in the night.
WWE Champion John Cena def. Chris Jericho, Big Show & Randy Orton in a 3-on-1 Gauntlet Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) It became clear early on in WWE Champion John Cenas 3-on-1 Gauntlet Match that his opponents cared nothing about sportsmanship and fair play and everything about hurting and punishing the man who carries the title. With just six days until he defends that title at WWE Hell in a Cell, Cena faced Chris Jericho, Big Show and Randy Orton.
During his first of three matches, Cena found himself trapped in The Walls of Jericho but managed to grasp the ropes. Jericho, however, would not relent even as the referee admonished him, resulting in a disqualification for one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions.
Still nursing his pain, Cena unearthed the courage to face Show. While The Worlds Largest Athlete began by quickly pummeling The Champ, Cenas determination could not be dampened and he slowly turned the tables on Show until Jericho climbed back into the ring to punish Cena. Thats when the other half of the Unified Tag Team Champions got disqualified and attempted to snap Cenas back with a Camel Clutch Backbreaker.
Orton would prove to be the final hurdle. The Viper entered the ring to find a seemingly incapacitated Cena. The easy prey, however, would prove more wily than wounded. Cena asked for the Hell in a Cell structure to be lowered, hoping to prevent Ortons escape. While The Viper eventually managed to slither outside, a resolute Cena followed closely. Eventually, The Champ chased Orton atop Satans Structure, where he completed his gauntlet run with a wicked Attitude Adjustment and set foot along the long, blistering path to Hell.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to host Monday Night Raw (FULL STORY) Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback of Pittsburgh Steelers, knows a little something about handling a group of burly men bent on destroying each other. Good thing, too, since the Superbowl champion will drop by, along with his entire offensive line, next Monday night as special guest host of Raw! Dont miss out on all the action.
Chris Masters & Chavo Guerrero def. Santino Marella & Hornswoggle (PHOTOS | WATCH) Chavo Guerrero must be breathing a sigh of relief. After months of humiliating defeats at the tiny hands of Hornswoggle, the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior finally emerged victorious after a tag team bout with the little leprechaun. Chavo teamed with Chris Masters, who secured the win against Hornswoggles partner, Santino Marella. A funny thing happened on the way to the locker room, though. Upon seeing his partner lock in The Master Lock on Hornswoggle after the match, Chavo reentered the ring to save his nemesis before leaving without a word, perhaps as a result of the mediating power of guest host Sharpton.
Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH) Jack Swagger grounded the aerial assault of Evan Bourne to send a message just six days before he battles United States Champion Kofi Kingston and The Miz in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Hell in a Cell. That message? Do not underestimate me. As he informed the WWE Universe of his determination to capture the title, The Miz came down with microphone envy and traded blows with The All-American American.
While these two battled it out, the real U.S. Champion strolled toward the ring and quietly retrieved his title, which Swagger had underhandedly nicked the week prior. By the time Swagger and Miz figured out what had happened, Kofi and his gold were long gone.
The Legacy and DX traded barbs (PHOTOS | WATCH | MORE DX) As if there wasnt enough animosity crackling between The Legacy and D-Generation X, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase tweaked their WWE Hell in a Cell opponents by unspooling footage of Legacy defeating and humiliating DX over the past month. Never to be outdone, DX retaliated by poking fun at their young antagonists and confronted the two, but Rhodes & DiBiase fled. In the run up to WWE Hell in a Cell, the two teams will have a chance to prove themselves in the biggest Eight-Man Tag Team Match in the history of Friday Night SmackDown, just 48 hours before meeting inside Satans Structure.
Divas Champion Mickie James def. Rosa Mendes (PHOTOS | WATCH) With the No. 1 contender for the Divas Title, Alicia Fox, accompanying her to the ring, Rosa Mendes challenged champion Mickie James in a non-title match. Just six days before Mickie and Alicia square off at WWE Hell in a Cell, the challenger attempted to distract the champion to allow Rosa a smooth path to victory. Its a technique Alicia has utilized on more than one occasion in the past. For her part, though, Mickie wasnt having it. Instead, the Divas Champ flipped the script and pinned Rosa for the win.
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show def. MVP & Mark Henry (PHOTOS | WATCH) As tag teams go, the parallels between the teams of Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show and MVP & Mark Henry are striking. In Jericho and MVP, both teams possess the quickness, cunning and confidence necessary to win, while their respective partners provide a welcome dose of size and power. Despite the title match granted them by Raw special guest host Rev. Al Sharpton, however, The Franchise Playa & The Worlds Strongest Man couldnt match up to Jericho & Show, failing to capitalize on the title opportunity.
Raw special guest host Rev. Al Sharpton appeared on MVP's VIP Lounge, arranged Unified Tag Team Championship Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) Count MVP a fan of the Rev. Al Sharpton. The Franchise Playa could hardly contain his glee at hosting the national civil rights figure and former presidential candidate on his VIP Lounge. After Sharpton told MVP about the Education Reform Tour hes involved with to bring awareness and improve education in the United States, he asked why MVP and Mark Henry were at odds with Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show, who joined the proceedings.
After attempting to mediate a resolution between the four, Sharpton decided enough was enough. He then arranged a title match to take place immediately: Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. MVP & Mark Henry.

Chris Jericho was recently interviewed by Canoe.cas SLAM! Wrestling about next weeks SmackDown 10-year anniversary special, teaming with the Big Show, his initial concern that WWE SmackDown would be a failure like WCW's second show (Thunder) became, his band Fozzy, Jim Ross' legacy and more. However, some of the more newsworthy quotes came when Jericho was talking about areas where WWE needs improvement.
When asked about how he thinks WWE's brand split is going so far and whether he thinks WWE has a deep enough roster to support three seperate shows, he said:
"I think it was a better idea then than it is now. There was a lot more talent when they did the brand extension. You could actually split the rosters in two; create some competition for ourselves, especially after WCW went under. Sometimes I wonder if we should still do that with talent roster the way that it is with a lot of younger guys. Its a good idea to give them a chance to shine, but for me the way right now, especially working Raw and Smackdown, it shows that some guys should do both shows because we need the diversity on both. But still, week in and week out, they still make it entertaining, build up a lot of Smackdown and they do it more on Raw as well, theres room for everyone on the show, some just have to kind of grab the brass ring and run with it. Im happy to be on both shows, I like contributing to both.
He also acknowledged that WWE is in need of some new faces in the top spots and says WWE is making the same mistakes that doomed WCW back in the late 90s. "They have to keep the wheels turning; they can't just base it on the same guys year in and year out. That's how business fails; that's how WCW failed. We have some young guys that are ready to grasp it and there are other guys that aren't. They're going to have to speed up the process a bit.
Jericho mentioned John Morrison, Legacy, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston. The Miz and Evan Bourne as guys who are improving and have a lot of upside potential. "Now is the time, we need these guys to step up and the thing is too, is you say step up, step up, step up, but some guys just aren't capable; they're not ready because they don't have the experience yet. But as long they are improving every week, and those are guys that I kind of see as being the next wave of the company, when my generation of guys is retired or not at the same level as we are now."
As noted earlier, Lacey Von Erich, daughter of former WWE Superstar "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich, has signed on with Total Nonstop Wrestling. She debuted at this past Tuesday's Impact taping (set to air next Thursday), assisting Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne. The third generation wrestler was strictly signed to replace Angelina Love in "The Beautiful People" faction. Even though Love doesn't have her employment visa, she is still living in Tampa while waiting for everything to be sorted out. The signing of Von Erich would seem to indicate that the company doesn't see Love's visa situation being resolved anytime soon.
While Von Erich most certainly has the looks necessary to be a member of "The Beautiful People," she is worlds apart from Love in terms of wrestling ability, experience and presence. Von Erich started her career in professional wrestling roughly two years ago and has wrestled sporadically throughout that time. It is believed that she has taken part in no more than twenty matches throughout career far, far less than anyone else on the roster. When she was in WWE's developmental camp in late 2007, she flamed out quickly and didn't receive high marks. In fact, she only lasted four months in the company before being let go, which is quite startling for a developmental wrestler. While Love (as Angel Williams) and Taylor Wilde (as Shantelle Taylor) were in WWE's developmental system and also let go the very same year, both moves were heavily criticized by those who had trained with them or had seen them on Deep South Wrestling television. On the other hand, there was no such criticism of Von Erich or Trenesha Biggers (a.k.a. Rhaka Khan) being let go.
Despite the addition of Von Erich to the "The Beautiful People," the future prospects of the group very much remains in question. Internally, the senior member of the group, Velvet Sky, is still seen as a liability in the ring despite several years of wrestling experience whereas Rayne has essentially been treated as a jobber/punching bag throughout her brief tenure in TNA. In fact, since joining the company in February, Rayne still has yet to score a single pinfall victory on television.
Regarding the company's mission to create new stars, TNA President Dixie Carter is currently telling employees that they may have to take a step backwards before they can move forward. As previously reported, company sources say Russo is "on a mission" to make lesser-known talent more popular than ever before. Dixie Carter has identified Matt Morgan, Hernandez and AJ Styles as her top favorites in the company.
Russo is not considered to be on thin ice due to the slumping ratings. Carter is said to realize that the TV networks are airing first run material again and that college football is running opposite Impact on Thursday nights. She believes that reason -- along with the increased presence of lesser-known talent on Impact -- is a fair explanation for the ratings slump.
While it may appear that Dixie is completely behind Russo, there was talk within TNA that she would be willing to fire him had her recent negotiations with Hulk Hogan led to him signing a contract. Hogan apparently still will not work with Russo, and one story making the rounds is that he wanted Kevin Sullivan and Kevin Nash to be the bookers if he was to join TNA. The deal obviously never went through and it appears that talks between the two sides are finished.
According to the Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter, Scott Steiner has been telling friends for a couple of months now that he doesnt expect to stick around TNA much longer. Steiner is close friends with Jeff Jarrett, and people within the company assume he wont stick around long if hes under the impression theres no chance of Jeff coming back. Those close to the situation say that Steiner, now 47, has been financially prepared to retire for several years. Those close to him say that Steiner still has the desire to perform despite the everyday pain he endures from years of injuries.
In January of this year, a report was published with the following quote from a fellow wrestler: If Scott has a decent, hard match where he takes five or ten bumps, he is feeling much more pain than the average beat up wrestler and he feels it for up to 24 hours after the match. His back is so bad, watching him go through a 12 step process to sit in a car seat is excruciating. During the Monday Night Wars era, he developed one of the worst backstage reputations in the business. Since then, TNA sources say Steiner has been a pleasure to work with. Even during his short WWE run prior to joining TNA, sources say he kept to himself and didnt cause any trouble like he did in WCW.
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison & Finlay def. Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox Kane def. Slam Master J Batista def. Big Show (Disqualification) David Hart Smith def. JTG World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk def. Undertaker (Count-out)
TULSA, Okla. Despite World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk once again finding a way to beat The Undertaker, The Phenom will have his chance for revenge against The Straightedge Superstar at Hell in a Cell. And, as per SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, The Deadmans Hells Gate submission hold is now fully legal.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk def. Undertaker by Count-out (WATCH | PHOTOS) As World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk battled Undertaker in the nights main event, the thoughts of what transpired at WWE Breaking Point were still fresh in the minds of everyone in the WWE Universe. As both Superstars waged war, the action spilled out onto the arena floor. It looked as if Punk was done for, when The Deadman prepared to slam him onto the announce table. But, The Straightedge Superstar managed to avoid being trounced and pushed Undertaker onto the announce table. As the ref neared the 10-count, Punk slithered back into the ring. The Deadman entered right on Punks tail, but it was not quick enough to avoid the refs final count of 10.
Hells Gate legalized (WATCH | PHOTOS) Last week, Undertaker took Teddy on a limo ride from hell. This week, the GM returned to SmackDown bound and gagged in a coffin carried into the arena by Undertakers druids! After Punk assisted Long in exiting the ominous enclosure, the shaken GM informed Punk he would face The Phenom at Hell in a Cell. And to Punks dismay, Teddy informed Punk that Undertakers Hells Gate submission hold is now fully legal. (Hell in a Cell Match preview)
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison & Finlay def. Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox (PHOTOS | WATCH) For most of the match, Intercontinental Champion John Morrison could only watch as his partner, Finlay, did his best against big Mike Knox and No. 1 contender Dolph Ziggler. But, as soon as The Friday Night Delight got involved, the momentum began to shift. Then after Knox accidently crushed his own partner with a cross body Finlay capitalized on the distraction by smashing Knox in the back of his head with his trusty shillelagh. The Guru of Greatness took advantage, delivering Starship Pain to Knox.

Batista def. Big Show by Disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH) Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show wanted to do what his partner, Chris Jericho, was unable to do last week defeat Batista. With lingering feelings from the loss, Jericho lurked at ringside, finally inserting himself in the action when it looked like Big Show might succumb to an ankle lock. But as soon as Jericho jumped in the ring to help, he was met with a brutal Spinebuster and subsequent ankle lock from The Animal. Adding insult to injury, Jerichos infraction ultimately caused Big Show to lose by disqualification.
David Hart Smith def. JTG (PHOTOS | WATCH) The various associates at ringside proved to be the deciding factor in this bout. First, Natalya saved a potential pinfall over DH smith by pulling his leg outside the ropes, causing the ref to stop the 3-count. Angered by the interference, Eve attacked Natalya. Next, it was Tyson Kidd who got involved, stunning JTG with a cheap kick to the head. With JTG dazed, Smith capitalized, dropping him with a massive suplex.
