Hart Dynasty niet tevreden over afwezigheid op summerslam

WWE star unhappy about being left off Summerslam
Posted by Chris Kaufman on 09/08/2009 at 03:02 PM

Thanks to the Sun UK for the following:

The Hart Dynasty have blasted WWE boss Vince McMahon following their SummerSlam snub. David Hart Smith, 23, Tyson Kidd and 27-year-old valet Natalya claim they are the No1 tag team in the wrestling promotion and should have appeared at the showpiece event. Speaking exclusively to SunSport, Hart Smith said: "I am little disappointed that we weren't on the SummerSlam card this year. "I feel bar none, not only technically, but if you take a look at the all-round skills that we have, we are probably the strongest tag team contenders in the whole of WWE."

And the trio certainly have the right pedigree to make such a bold statement. Smith is the son of legendary grappler The British Bulldog, while Natalya is the daughter of Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart. The blonde beauty dates Kidd, 29, away from the squared circle and he too became an extended member of the famous wrestling family after training in Stu Hart's infamous 'Dungeon' in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. But despite admitting being desperate for a place in the WWE spotlight, Natalya is quick to point out that her uncle — Bret 'The Hitman' Hart — was a 35-year-old veteran before he captured his first WWE heavyweight crown.

She said: "I think sometimes if you get something too quickly it's not a lot of fun. "For me it's about proving myself and proving my worth when I get that opportunity. "I do feel like my time will come and when it does I will represent my family — my father, my uncle Bret, my uncles that have passed on — and prove that I am one of the best female wrestlers in the history of sports entertainment." Tyson agreed, adding: "A lot of WWE Divas have risen up pretty fast in the past but I don't see many of them around anymore. "Natalya hasn't had a chance to show everyone what she's made of yet, or myself and David. "It's just a slow, slow progression whereas I would rather have had a meteoric rise."

Part of that slow progression is a training regime that Natalya says she would not wish on her worst enemy.

Angela Fong maakt haar debuut op ecw

Developmental talent Angela Fong, 24, made her much anticipated WWE debut on tonight's ECW telecast from Rockford, Illinois. The former BC Lions Felions Dance Team cheerleader was introduced under the name "Savannah." It would appear that she's the new backstage announcer for ECW as she conducted an interview with Tommy Dreamer and Christian during tonight's show. Fong actually made her first appearance in WWE during the 2007 Diva Search and though she didn't make the cut, the company would sign her to a developmental contract in February 2008. She has been working as both as wrestler and ring announcer in Florida Championship Wrestling ever since.

Details on a backstage fight at WWE live event

Details on a backstage fight at WWE live event

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

There aren't a lot of details on this yet, but apparently there was a fight backstage at the Smackdown/ECW live event in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on Saturday night between The Great Khali and Big Show.

The main event that night saw Matt Hardy, The Undertaker and Khali defeat Big Show, Chris Jericho and CM Punk. At the end, Show and Khali brawled outside of the ring together. When they got backstage, there was apparently an argument. Show called him out on it and they started grappling around.

One source said, “Show slipped on someone’s bag and it was over.”

Another report said that after they ended up on the ground, Khali mounted Show and was hitting him with slaps before The Undertaker pulled them apart. Show and Khali were kept away from each other in the ring for the rest of the tour.

What you didn't see on WWE RAW this week

The following is a brief recap of the events that transpired after the cameras went dark for WWE RAW tonight:

There was no dark match main event. John Cena, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels took a different side of the crowd for a "loudest cheer" contest. They high-fived fans at ringside and crotch chopped with little kids from the crowd at the top of the stage.

D-Generation X def. WWE Champion Randy Orton & Chris Masters

CHICAGO — If you’ve read Bob Barker’s autobiography “Priceless Memories,” you know the former Price Is Right host has seen many strange things during his 50 years in show business. Yet, even the wildest Showcase Showdown moment couldn’t prepare Barker for his stint as Raw’s celebrity guest host. From a Body Slam Challenge between two of WWE’s largest Superstars to a battle between DX and the unique combination of Randy Orton & Chris Masters, the final Raw before Sunday’s WWE Breaking Point was one to remember.

D-Generation X def. WWE Champion Randy Orton & Chris Masters (PHOTOS | WATCH | MORE DX)
Despite having never teamed before, The Viper’s viciousness and Masters’s brute strength made a great combination. Yet, in the end, HBK forced The Masterpiece to tap out to give DX the victory. The night didn’t end there, however. The Legacy then rushed to the ring and brawled with DX all the way to the locker room area before retreating from the arena in a stolen car.

In the ring, Randy Orton grabbed the microphone and told the WWE Universe that he will leave WWE Breaking Point with his championship. This arrogant announcement caused John Cena to rush to the ring to confront Orton. The two men quickly traded blows before Orton laid the 12 Rounds star out with a brutal DDT. The Viper then showed how vicious he can be by delivering an RKO to Cena onto a steel chair. As Raw came to a close, Orton stood over Cena’s fallen body and vowed to make him quit on Sunday. (WATCH)

Bob Barker battled Chavo Guerrero in the locker room (WATCH)
In a scene reminiscent of the 1996 Adam Sandler comedy Happy Gilmore, Bob Barker proved he was one tough senior citizen when he was confronted by Chavo Guerrero in the locker room. The self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” demanded that Barker give him the car he’d failed to win earlier in the evening. When Guerrero got in Barker’s face, the “Priceless Memories” author, who studied karate under Chuck Norris, delivered a brutal chop to the stunned Superstar. Bob then reminded the WWE Universe to spay and neuter their pets, ending an amazing night as Raw’s special guest host.

Trish Stratus announced as next Monday’s Raw guest host
The WWE Universe rejoiced when it was announced that seven-time Women’s Champion Trish Stratus would be the guest host for next Monday’s Raw. The beautiful Diva, who retired in 2006, will bring her gorgeous smile and, if necessary, her devastating Stratusfaction bulldog to the Air Canada Center in her hometown of Toronto next Monday night.

Mark Henry def. Big Show in a Body Slam Challenge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The night’s fun and games continued with Bob Barker giving Santino Marella an opportunity to win his very own hot tub. All the Italian Superstar had to do was defeat the 485-pound Big Show in a Body Slam Challenge and he’d be soaking in style. But, despite a heroic effort, the unibrowed warrior simply couldn’t heave the giant. Instead, Show hoisted Marella with ease and dropped him like a Plinko chip to win the match. (WATCH)

The Unified Tag Team Champion laughed at the defeated Marella, but his smile soon turned to a grimace when Barker informed him that he had another opponent tonight — The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. The tough Texan marched to the ring with his eyes locked on Show and the two bulls immediately charged each other. While Big Show is one of the few men on the planet who can stand toe to toe with Henry, he was on the losing end of their confrontation tonight. After Henry slammed Show, MVP came down to the ring to celebrate. The two partners were clearly feeling confident going into Sunday’s Unified Tag Team Championship Match at WWE Breaking Point.

Batista returns to Raw next Monday (WATCH)
After suffering an injury at the hands of WWE Champion Randy Orton in June, Batista will make his return on next Monday's Raw. On this can't-miss night, The Animal will make a major, potentially career-altering announcement.

John Cena def. Cody Rhodes by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Before locking up with John Cena, Cody Rhodes addressed Randy Orton’s RKO on his father, Dusty Rhodes, from last Monday’s Raw. While the WWE Universe wondered if this shocking move would cause Rhodes to leave The Legacy, the second-generation Superstar made it clear that he would be sticking with Orton and Ted DiBiase. He then vowed to make Cena tap out in tonight’s contest.

Things did not go the way Rhodes had planned, however. With his WWE Championship "I Quit" Match against Orton only six days away, Cena looked more motivated than ever. The 12 Rounds star tossed Rhodes around the ring before locking in his brutal STF submission hold. Rhodes reached his own breaking point and was ready to submit when The Viper interfered, causing a disqualification. Cena was clearly enraged by Orton’s audacity and delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Cody Rhodes, sending a clear message to the WWE Champion.

Evan Bourne def. Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Before his match with the explosive Evan Bourne, Chavo Guerrero was informed by Bob Barker that he would win a new Corvette if he could defeat the high flyer. The idea of driving out of the Allstate Arena in a cherry red sports car clearly inspired Guerrero and he attacked “Air” Bourne with vigor from the opening bell.

After months of repeatedly losing to Hornswoggle, it seemed as if the “Mexican Warrior” would finally come up with a winning bid tonight. But just when it seemed as though Chavo might grab a victory, the little Irishman appeared from under the ring. Hornswoggle distracted Guerrero, helping Bourne get the pin and dooming Chavo to another year of driving the same old low rider.

DX spun The Price is Raw wheel
In the locker room area, Bob Barker gave DX an opportunity to spin the wheel in order to determine their opponents for tonight. As luck would have it, the unique combination of WWE Champion Randy Orton & Chris Masters came up, giving Triple H & Shawn Michaels reason to smile. The duo was more than happy about an opportunity to inflict some punishment on The Legacy leader before they face Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase in a Submissions Count Anywhere Match at WWE Breaking Point on Sunday.

Montel Vontavious Porter def. Chris Jericho (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When Chris Jericho accidentally came up with the winning bid on Contestant’s Row, he was given the opportunity to score a trip to Hawaii — if he could defeat MVP. The two men, who will meet in the Unified Tag Team Championship Match in six days at WWE Breaking Point, locked horns last Monday with Jericho coming out on top.

Tonight, however, The Ballin’ Superstar was right on the money, outmaneuvering the cocky Jericho and picking up a big victory. After the match, Jericho kicked and screamed. Not only had he lost the match, but he’d blown his opportunity to work on his tan in Honolulu.

Bob Barker kicked off The Price is Raw (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When the explosive bombast of pyro that usually opens Raw was replaced by the familiar tune of The Price Is Right theme song, the WWE Universe knew this was going to be a unique Monday night. Tonight’s guest host, game show legend Bob Barker, confirmed this when he revealed that WWE Superstars and Divas would be competing for incredible prizes all night long. The 19-time Emmy Winner then welcomed Jillian Hall, Santino Marella, Irwin R. Schyster and Chris Jericho to Contestant’s Row to bid on The Best of SmackDown 10th Anniversary DVD. The winning bidder would then be given an opportunity to compete for an even bigger prize later in the evening.

Nigel McGuinness talks about WWE status

Nigel McGuinness spoke with The UK’s Sun about his status with WWE:

“I am not 100 percent on board yet. I still have to cross some I’s and dot some T’s but it’s looking positive. It’s been a long time coming for sure. Ten years since I first took a bump and about eighteen since that fateful day I sat in Wembley Stadium [at SummerSlam 1992] and said I was one day going be a pro-wrestler. Still, like I said, I don’t want to tempt fate until it’s all signed sealed and delivered.”

Hardy talks about Smackdown match with CM Punk

Matt Hardy posted the following on Twitter regarding the ending to his match with CM Punk on Friday’s Smackdown:

“By the way, for any of you wondering, I won SD’s Main Event against World Champion CM Punk by DQ. And you ask, why was there no bell? Apparently, Punk threw the bell ringing tool away when he got the chair so they couldn’t ring the bell-but Punk did get officially DQed..”

In an update on the situation, the former WWE Women's Champion may be introduced as the "winner" of Kevin Nash's "Big Sexy World Tour," which has him embarking across the United States in search of the perfect woman to accompany him to the ring at the Final Resolution pay-per-view on December 20, 2009.

ANGELINA LOVE WERKTE AL 2 JAAR ILLEGAAL IN AMERIKA

In a correction from yesterday's report concerning Lauren Williams' (professionally known as "Angelina Love") sudden departure from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, it was noted that she had been working under a visa she obtained during her time under contract to World Wrestling Entertainment as a developmental talent a few years ago. This is incorrect as her visa would have been deemed invalid as soon as she was let go — her release occurred in May 2007. According to a person in the know, she has actually been working without a visa for the past two years, which is illegal.

Basically, if you are not a legal citizen of the United States, you must apply for a new working visa each and every time you start with a new employer. Seeing how Williams is a Canadian citizen working in the United States, she falls under this category. The person applying must initiate the matter themselves by either having: enough money in the bank to support themselves; a U.S. sponsor; or a company confirming they will employ them in the U.S.

In September 2007, Williams was contacted by TNA officials to appear at their annual October pay-per-view, Bound for Glory. For all of the debuting Knockouts — including Williams — the 10-Knockout Gauntlet to crown the first TNA Women's Champion was in actuality a tryout match. Williams passed with flying colors as she was signed to a contract a few days following the match and instantly became a regular television character. However, this is where the problem occurred.

From a legal standpoint, her work visa issues were supposed to be taken care of before she could sign her contract with TNA, but apparently weren't. Likewise, company officials carelessly ignored the issue as well. For instance, this explains why it took so long for Gail Kim — who like Williams is a citizen of Canada — to debut in WWE this past year as her work visa issues had to be resolved before she could legally start with the company. In Williams' case, she made a glaring mistake by starting with her new employer before first getting her visa situation taken care of. Considering Williams has been working without a visa for the past two years, both she and TNA could face serious legal ramifications should federal agents become informed of this alarming matter.

As far as possible punishment is concerned, Williams could be subject to deportation and banned from entering the United States for ten years. She may also be forced to pay back any money she garnered by working as an illegal immigrant in the U.S.

According to the source, when TNA president Dixie Carter was informed by her legal team about the amount of trouble her company could face as a result of employing an illegal immigrant, she hastily made the decision to terminate Williams' contract.

    Trina Michaels vervangster Angelina Love?

With the departure of Angelina Love from TNA, talk is going around that indy valet Trina Michaels may get her chance in the company and form a new version of "The Beautiful People." At the invitation of company personnel, Michaels attended a recent iMPACT! taping and sat in the front row. As of late, her MySpace page has become very "TNA friendly." It is also well known that Mick Foley and Hernandez are close friends with her. You can see some images of Michaels from the iMPACT! taping at the following link.

Matt Hardy vs. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk (No Contest, Non-Title)

CLEVELAND – While the WWE Universe is still coming to terms with the departure of Jeff Hardy, it witnessed the crowning of a new Intercontinental Champion in John Morrison, as well as the reemergence of one of WWE’s most ominous forces – The Undertaker!

    Hardy "Punked"? (PHOTOS | VIDEO)
Covered in Jeff Hardy-style face paint, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk teased the WWE Universe by entering the arena to Jeff Hardy’s entrance music. Punk went on to disparage The Charismatic Enigma, flaunt his own “straightedge” lifestyle and dare his WWE Breaking Point opponent, Undertaker, to face him in the ring.

But instead of The Phenom, it was Matt Hardy who charged into the ring to brawl with The Straightedge Superstar. The emotion-charged fight ended only when WWE officials separated the two Superstars. Later, when CM Punk confronted SmackDown General Manger Theodore Long, Teddy agreed for both Superstars to meet in a non-title match later in the night.

VIDEO: A look at Jeff Hardy’s last match in WWE

Matt Hardy vs. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk (No Contest, Non-Title) (PHOTOS | VIDEO)
In Matt Hardy’s first one-on-one match on SmackDown since having abdominal surgery, he was looking to represent the Hardy name and take down the reigning champion in the night’s main event. In a battle of wills, it was anyone’s match to win. However, before a victor could be decided, Undertaker emerged to confront his WWE Breaking Point opponent. In a swift and powerful assault, The Phenom chokeslammed Punk through the announce table, leaving him a lifeless heap on the arena floor. Is it a sign of things to come at WWE Breaking Point? In the biggest match of his career, John Morrison finally did what Dolph Ziggler has been unable to do – dethrone Rey Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Championship. Despite a valiant fight from Mysterio to hold onto what was his, it was Starship Pain from The Friday Night Delight which ushered in the new champion. Now, Morrison will defend his new title against Dolph Ziggler at WWE Breaking Point. (Preview)

Even with The Great Khali at Finlay's side, Kane and Mike Knox formed an imposing challenge for The Fighting Irishman and his massive partner. In the end, it was the smallest Superstar of the four – Finlay – who earned the victory for his team, when he smashed big Mike Knox in the head with his trusty shillelagh to get the pinfall. At WWE Breaking Point, The Great Khali and Kane will square off one-on-one in a Singapore Cane Match. (Preview)

After being “overlooked” last week, Drew McIntyre said he wanted to make a statement. Unfortunately for R-Truth, McIntyre used him to deliver his painful message. WWE.com drops "industry news" section

WWE.com has dropped their "Industry News" section, which used to report news from other promotions as well as news posted on other wrestling related websites. The feeling behind the original launch of the section was that it would increase traffic to the site as people would go to WWE.com instead of other pro wrestling sites, but because it had no effect on traffic, WWE decided to dump the section.

Taz talks about why TNA is better than WWE

Taz talks about why TNA is better than WWE

The following is an excerpt from an article from Scripps News:

Senerchia is now pursuing a new challenge as a color commentator for TNA Wrestling, the Nashville, Tenn.-based company that is trying to make inroads into WWE's industry-wide dominance.

"I couldn't be happier," Senerchia said in a recent telephone interview. "TNA reminds me of the original ECW, but with a real TV contract, real money and a lot of big names.

"We're not at the level of WWE yet. We're still young. There will be some growing pains. But the work ethic and passion are there to give our audience the best product possible."

Working for TNA requires less travel while providing Senerchia a greater chance to expand his wrestling horizons beyond announcing.

"I do a little bit of everything," said Senerchia, who made his TNA debut in July as Samoa Joe's "adviser." "Backstage, I'm assigned to (watch) talent that they want me to help nurture. I've also given feedback on the TV shows from a different perspective, having not only wrestled for WWE but worked in the studio."

Senerchia admits that a "little part" of his decision to leave WWE stemmed from the demands company owner Vince McMahon places on his announcing crew. Senerchia called the action on "Smackdown" (8 p.m. EDT Fridays, MyNetwork TV) and then ECW (10 p.m. Tuesdays, Syfy Network) after WWE relaunched that brand in 2006.

While offering heavy praise for McMahon and other top WWE officials, Senerchia said he performs "much better in a looser, relaxed atmosphere." McMahon's heavy-handed approach also prompted Mick Foley to leave WWE for TNA last year.

"At times, it's a little obnoxious to have so many people in your ear," Senerchia said. "You have to listen to your (announcing) partner, the executive producer and the company owner while trying to follow the talent in the ring and tell a story. I only have two ears, not six."

Taz is said to have already gained TNA president Dixie Carter’s trust as someone who has a good mind for the wrestling business. As previously noted, Taz was given some backstage agent responsibility following the releases of Dutch Mantel and Savio Vega.

Now, The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Taz may be receiving even more backstage responsbility within the company. There’s talk that the former ECW and WWE star has been making contributions to the TNA creative team, which may lead to a bigger role in the process sometime down the line.

BG JAMES MAAKT KANS OP ONTSLAG

Multiple sources within TNA feel BG James is at high risk of losing his job as backstage agent. One company source noted that James appears to be "hanging by a thread" and speculated that TNA would probably line up a replacement before letting him go since he was the only person going on the road for live events after Dutch Mantel was released and before Scott D'Amore was brought back. The former WWF tag team champion had a falling out with Jeff Jarrett this past summer, so it's unlikely that he would be let go as a result of his longtime friendship with him.

Dixie Carter wants 'beautiful women' that can actually wrestle

-- Women's wrestling blog site Diva-Dirt.com is reporting that TNA president Dixie Carter recently issued a mandate to strictly hire 'beautiful women'. It was noted that while she is solely interested in hiring 'beautiful women', she wants women who can actually wrestle.

As reported earlier, former WWE Diva Kristal Marshall is expected to join the promotion in the near future. TNA officials also have their sights set on another former Diva, that being Candice Michelle.

Michelle's name has been discussed in recent weeks in regards to bringing her in. She was released from WWE on June 17, 2009, shortly after being cleared to return to the ring. Hence, her ninety-day no-compete clause is set to expire two weeks from now

JIM ROSS ZIET TNA WEL ALS OPTIE

His contract with World Wrestling Entertainment is set to expire at the end of the year and the company has yet to offer him a new one.

It should be noted however that Ross is considering all of his options and joining TNA is very much a possible scenario he's taking seriously. He could just as well stay in WWE though.
