Velvet Sky en Helms uit elkaar?

Although this is really none of anyone's business, we've heard that TNA Knockout Velvet Sky and WWE star Shane Helms have split.

To add fuel to the fire, Helms recently twitted: "All good things must come to an end."

Michelle Mccool keert volgende week terug

It was announced at tonight's WWE SmackDown taping from the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool will return to the brand on next week's show. McCool has been held off the road after suffering what is believed to be a knee injury at a recent house house show.

"Calgary Kid" (The Miz) def. Eugene in WWE Contract-on-a-Pole Match
Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. WWE Champion Randy Orton by count-out
    MVP def. Chris Masters
The Legacy def. Mark Henry & Hornswoggle
John Cena def. Chris Jericho by disqualification

CALGARY, Alberta  - It’s been a long, sweltering summer, especially for the Superstars of Monday Night Raw. And while making a run for the border of Canada might seem like just the way to cool off, having Sgt. Slaughter as Raw’s special guest host certainly kept the heat on.

Also, in tribute to tonight's special guest host, WWE.com has handed over WWE e-Vote to ask the following question: Who did tonight's Hall of Fame guest host, Sgt. Slaughter, defeat to capture his first WWE Championship? Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior or Hulk Hogan? Results...

John Cena def. Chris Jericho by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Perhaps hoping to boost his standing with his fellow Canucks, Chris Jericho wanted to accomplish something in front of them he’d never done before; defeat John Cena. Well, that quest went about as far as a moose on a motorcycle. As one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Jericho certainly held his own against Cena. Unfortunately for him, though, Randy Orton wanted to send a message to his SummerSlam opponent and interfered in the bout by attacking Jericho. The intrusion triggered an immediate disqualification and also prompted Big Show to rush to the ring to chokeslam Orton, leaving both he and Cena lying on the canvas.

The pandemonium led Raw guest host Sgt. Slaughter to interrupt the proceedings to announce that next week, not only will Freddie Prinze Jr. act as Raw’s celebrity guest host, Cena & Orton must combine forces to face Show & Jericho. As if to demonstrate their uneasy alliance, Cena & Orton immediately joined together to collar The World’s Largest Athlete and send him over the ropes. The cooperation was quickly followed by looks of apprehension on the faces of both Superstars. Will these two really be able to bury their animosity and work as a team on the next edition of Raw?

The Legacy def. Mark Henry & Hornswoggle (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Chavo Guerrero didn’t seem like he wanted to press his luck. In the wake of his pathetic losing streak to Hornswoggle, the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” decided to forgo a tag team match against ‘Swoggle & Mark Henry. Instead, Guerrero chose to substitute The Legacy. While it was nothing to be proud of, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase did manage to secure the win thanks to a pin on the little leprechaun. Feeling confident, the second-generation Superstars then addressed DX, saying they were definitely ready to face down the legendary twosome.

Triple H tracked down Shawn Michaels; DX to battle The Legacy at SummerSlam (WATCH: PART 1 |   PART 2 | PART 3)
Regeneration X? There had been no sign of Shawn Michaels ever since his loss to Undertaker at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania in an epic match. Finally, however, Triple H managed to track down the elusive Superstar … in a corporate cafeteria? That’s right. It appears HBK had decided to go underground, working as a cook, when his former DX partner pleaded with him to reform DX and compete against The Legacy at SummerSlam. To The Game’s relief, and the WWE Universe’s delight, Michaels agreed.

MVP def. Chris Masters (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After getting in the face of Jack Swagger earlier in the night, MVP’s adrenaline must have been pumping when he faced Chris Masters one-on-one. Montel Vontavious Porter managed to capitalize on his quickness and athleticism, handing Masters a loss. Any celebration got cut short, though, when Swagger came to the ring. As MVP faced him, Masters locked in The Master Lock. That’s when Swagger decided to act and pummeled a weary MVP, leaving him hurt in the middle of the canvas.

Unified Tag Team Champion Big Show def. WWE Champion Randy Orton by count-out (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Randy Orton may be conniving, devious and underhanded, but he’s no dummy. The WWE Champion had been scheduled to battle Big Show in one of the night’s two main events. The Viper, however, thought better of facing off against The World’s Largest Athlete and risk injury with less than two weeks until one of the most important matches of his career against John Cena at SummerSlam. Instead, after suffering a beating at the meaty paws of Show, Orton, in a calculated move, exited the ring and walked off, allowing the angered giant the victory by count-out.

“Calgary Kid” (The Miz) def. Eugene; The Miz earned reinstatement to Raw (PHOTOS | WATCH)
It looked like it was over for The Miz. Last week, the brash braggart lost to John Cena and found himself banned from Monday Night Raw for good. Well, heee’s baaaccckkk! The scheming Superstar, calling himself “Calgary Kid,” donned a mask and fought Eugene in a WWE Contract-on-a-Pole Match for the right to become the newest official member of Monday Night Raw. After prevailing, Miz ripped off his mask to reveal his true identity.

Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In the tug-of-war that has ensued over the past two weeks between Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne, “The All-American American” pulled his adversary over the line. After splitting one victory apiece, Swagger came up big to win the tie-breaker. Before he could revel in his arrogance, however, MVP challenged Swagger to a fight. “The All-American American” deferred, saying that maybe he would battle The Ballin’ Superstar next week. MVP pushed him on his derriere before Swagger slid from the ring.

Gail Kim def. Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Alicia Fox in Divas Four Way Match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Call it home country advantage. When Canadian Gail Kim faced off against Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix and Alicia Fox in a Diva Four Way Match, with the winner earning the right to face Divas Champion Mickie James in a title match, the odds were not in her favor. However, anyone who has witnessed the Korean beauty in the ring knows that she has never let the odds mean her end. After overcoming the size and strength advantage of her opponents, Kim emerged victorious and now sets her sights on Mickie and the Divas Title.

Raw special guest host Sgt. Slaughter arranged two main event matches: Big Show vs. Randy Orton and Chris Jericho vs. John Cena (PHOTOS)
WWE Champion Randy Orton tried on his professor’s cap when Monday Night Raw touched down in the Great White North. Orton confronted his SummerSlam opponent, John Cena, with a little history lesson. Namely, The Viper reminded Cena how he had defeated him in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania XXV and, more recently, at Night of Champions.

For his part, Cena proved no teacher’s pet. The former Champ exchanged pointed words with Orton until they were interrupted by the Unified Tag Team Champions, Chris Jericho & Big Show. The two bragged about how they had convinced Raw’s guest host, Sgt. Slaughter, to arrange two main event matches: Big Show vs. Orton and Chris Jericho vs. John Cena.

SCOTT D'AMORE KEERT TERUG NAAR TNA

Multiple sources are reporting that Scott D'Amore is returning to TNA as an agent. D'Amore left the company in July 2008.

Powell's POV: D'Amore has worked on the creative team in the past and it's possible he could be added in that capacity in the future. However, the buzz at this point is that he is returning to work as the primary agent of the Knockouts division. He held that position previously, and there's no denying that the division has suffered since he left the company.

    Brian Kendrick To TNA Wrestling?

To put some rumors to rest, Brian Kendrick did not ask for his release from WWE like he did during his previous stint in the company in 2004. Rather, John Laurinaitis cited the tough economy and creative having nothing for him upon informing of his release from the company two weeks ago.

Kendrick has been telling friends that it was implied to him the only reason he lasted as long as he did in WWE was because Pat Patterson liked him.

Wrestling fans have not seen the last of Kendrick as he is already committed to working dates for Dragon Gate USA and Pro Wrestling Guerilla in the near future. It's also interesting to note that he lives near Universal Studios in Orlando, but there's no telling at this point whether he will wind up in TNA.

News on a Big Show vs. Shaq match

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

WWE has had discussions of running a three-hour episode of RAW in September and building it around a match between Big Show and Shaquille O'Neal. It hard to understand why WWE would consider giving this match away on free TV instead of building it up for a PPV.

News on The Rock possibly hosting a future RAW

News on The Rock possibly hosting a future RAW

    Credit: PWTorch.com

Many within WWE feel its doubtful that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson would agree to guest host a future edition of Monday Night Raw.

One would assume WWE would reach out to him if they haven't already, but people close to him believe he'd pass on the offer. While Johnson speaks positively towards WWE in the media, the reality is he wants to disassociate himself with his former employer and still harbors some bad feelings over the way they allowed his contract to expire at the end of 2004.

    JTG def. Chris Jericho
The Great Khali def. Ricky Ortiz
World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy def. CM Punk (World Heavyweight Championship Match)

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – With SummerSlam just more than two weeks away, a series of explosive surprises left the WWE Universe in awe.

World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy def. CM Punk (World Heavyweight Championship Match) (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
Before the bell could ring to start their World Heavyweight Championship rematch, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk attacked each other, quickly bringing the WWE Universe into a state of absolute bedlam. Amidst the mass hysteria, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon emerged, declaring that the two Superstars would still have a World Heavyweight Championship Match with a “special guest enforcer,” handpicked by The Chairman himself.  (VIDEO | PHOTOS)

Later that night, to the shock of the WWE Universe, Matt Hardy emerged as Mr. McMahon’s special guest enforcer. While Jeff was confronting his brother outside the ring, Punk used the distraction to attempt an attack on his adversary. But when Jeff moved, it was his elder brother that took the hit instead. Moments later, when it looked like Punk may pin the World Champion, Matt pulled the referee out of the ring. As Matt confronted Punk, Jeff rolled his opponent up and the guest enforcer himself counted Punk’s shoulders to the canvas. The former ECW Champion then left without further action or comment.

Following the bell, an enraged CM Punk viciously attacked Hardy for the second week in a row, ruthlessly incorporating a chair to catastrophic ends. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long responded by making the blockbuster announcement that Jeff Hardy would again face CM Punk for the title at SummerSlam, in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match. (Match preview)

JTG def. Chris Jericho (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
Cryme Tyme’s JTG completely stunned the WWE Universe, upsetting Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho for the biggest win of his singles career. After the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion failed to get the pinfall because his opponent was under the ropes, JTG executed an inside-cradle out of nowhere for the monumental victory. Could his amazing triumph over the highly decorated Jericho be a sign of things to come for the No. 1 contenders as they prepare to face the Unified Tag Team Champions at SummerSlam? (Match preview)

Dolph Ziggler def. R-Truth, Finlay, Mike Knox (Fatal Four Way Match for an Intercontinental Championship title opportunity at SummerSlam) (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
With Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio sitting at the broadcast table, Dolph Ziggler hit Finlay with a devastating neckbreaker, conquering three elite Superstars to earn the right to once again face The Master of the 619 for the gold at SummerSlam (Match preview). After the brutal match was over, Ziggler slapped the champion, prompting Mysterio to deliver the seated senton to his new No. 1 contender.

John Morrison def. Tyson Kidd (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
On the heels of The Friday Night Delight’s amazing World Heavyweight Championship Match with Jeff Hardy one week ago, The Shaman of Sexy scored his second consecutive win over Tyson Kidd with the Starship Pain.

The Great Khali def. Ricky Ortiz (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
Although The Punjabi Playboy reigned supreme over Ricky Ortiz with The Punjabi Plunge in about a minute, his victory soon turned to darkness when Kane emerged to attack him from behind. The Big Red Machine then turned his focus on Ranjin Singh, assaulting Khali’s interpreter before dragging him off into the crowd.

Slam Master J def. Charlie Haas (VIDEO | PHOTOS)
With Cryme Tyme & Eve watching in a monitor in the back, Slam Master J overcame Charlie Haas with a splash off the top rope.

Nieuwe Knockout maakt debuut na Hard Justice

Jeremy Borash said on his Twitter account yesterday that Ayako Hamada will be starting in TNA after the Hard Justice pay-per-view. "Expect the Knockouts Division to get more physical with the arrival of "Hamada" from Japan. She will be starting after the Hard Justice PPV," Borash wrote. "Watched a DVD of her matches against Kong in Japan. They were so physically brutal, I needed to be stretchered out of my own living room."

    UITSLAGEN TNA IMPACT 06 AUGUSTUS
Klik op de afbeelding om de link te volgen [Q1] The show opened with a recap of last week's episode... The show is titled "Powers Unite"... A shot aired of Kurt Angle and Eric Young exiting a huge limo together.... The opening montage aired... Mike Tenay hyped the second match of the best of three series between A.J. Styles and Matt Morgan, and Sting vs. Brutus Magnus for later in the show...

The Main Event Mafia walked to the ring together. Kurt Angle said Mick Foley allegedly defeated Kevin Nash for the TNA Legends Title. Nash tried hard to look sad about losing the title that no one cares about. Angle complained that Sting's distraction and Bobby Lashley not being the legal man in the match when he entered the ring.

Angle said he spoke to the TNA board of directors and "they agreed the match is a sham." Angle said they agreed to let the outcome stand on the condition that Nash get a rematch against Mick Foley at the Hard Justice pay-per-view. Angle said Nash has a chance to end Foley's career.

Angle said it's his job as godfather of the Mafia to watch his family's back. He said that forced him to strike a deal. He pointed at the entrance area. The World Elite faction walked out. Eric Young debuted shorter hair and new, short tights. Once in the ring, all the heels shook hands. Tenay said the association kicked up the World Elite several notches.

Kurt said it's an honor and a privilege to do business with Young. Eric said he has no doubt that they will be revered as the greatest group of professional wrestlers ever assembled. He said it's his honor and privilege to take over TNA with Angle. Young said his men are 100 percent dedicated to the cause and are ready to do whatever it takes.

Young said it wouldn't have been like this if the Americans had treated them like the stars that they are. Young said it's not just about Lashley and Foley. He said it's about an entire disgusting nation that needs to be held responsible. He said the nation should feel bad about what the Elite is about to do to their heros. "Boys, let the cleansing begin," Young said...

Backstage, Jeremy Borash interviewed Mick Foley, who said he has a feeling this will be a night they'll never forget. Sting and Bobby Lashley entered the room. Sting said, "It's show time, Mick." Foley got up and left with Sting and Lashley... [C]

[Q2] Backstage, Lauren told Christopher Daniels that Eric Young wants to make an example out of him. Daniels told Young to be a man for once in his life. Lauren said Young was waiting in the ring with Kiyoshi and Sheik Abdul Bashir.

Suddenly, the Motor City Machine Guns walked onto the set and knocked on the camera. They mockingly pretended like they didn't know what a camera was because they haven't been on television in so long. Daniels got pissed and told them everyone's jobs are in danger. He said they haven't done anything to get noticed. He told them they could join him in the fight by accompanying him to ringside...

    1. Eric Young (Kiyoshi, Bashir) pinned Christopher Daniels (w/Motor City Machine Guns) in 5:00. The Guns came out and nonchalantly stood in the corner. They even stood by and read video game instruction manuals when the heels ganged up on Daniels at ringside early in the match.

Late in the match, Young went for the Best Moonsault Ever. Young moved, but Daniels landed on his feet and hooked him for the Angel's Wings. Kiyoshi entered the ring and sprayed mist into Daniels's eyes while Bashir distracted the referee. Young hit a piledriver on Young and scored the pin. Tenay said there's a locker room code that prohibits wrestlers from using the piledriver, but Young keeps using it... [C]

At ringside, Tenay and West hyped the eight-man tag match, a sit down interview with Hernandez, the Morgan vs. Styles match, and Sting vs. Brutus Magnus...

[Q3] Backstage, Lauren interviewed Beer Money and Team 3D. Robert Roode said he knows Eric Young better than anyone in TNA because they grew up together and travelled together before they even came to TNA. Roode said Young must have forgotten when he begged Jeff Jarrett for a job. He said he did the same. He said he'll be damned if Young is going to dictate his future.

Brother Ray said he and Devon have even more right to be pissed at Eric Young. He recalled Young hitting Devon with the IWGP Title belt. Devon called the British Invasion tea and crumpet eating fairies. West apologized on commentary to the children watching at home...

Ring introductions for the eight-man tag match took place... [C]

    2. Booker T, Scott Steiner, Doug Williams, and Rob Terry (w/Brutus Magnus, Sharmell) defeated Beer Money and Team 3D in an eight-man tag match in 7:05. It sounded like the fans were chanting "He's on steroids" at Terry. Ouch. When Team 3D and Beer Money took control, Young and his cronies came out. The Guns ran out and fought them at ringside.

[Q4] Kevin Nash came out and attacked the babyfaces. Mick Foley came out and attacked Nash. Kurt Angle came out. Sting came out, followed by Samoa Joe. Bobby Lashley came out. The match continued in the ring. Terry slammed Roode and pinned him clean to win the match for the heels. The brawl continued as the show went to break... [C]

The brawl continued after the break. Several wrestlers fought into the backstage area. Security cam footage aired from one section. Another group of wrestlers fought around a car. In the ring, Daniels hit his signature spots on Kiyoshi while the Guns enthusiastically cheered him on. Apparently, Daniels doesn't mind that the Guns stood by and watched as three guys worked him over earlier.

The brawl just kept going in the ring and backstage. The Guns and Daniels performed moves in the ring on Young and his wrestlers while the bigger named wrestlers fought behind the scenes. A police car pulled into the backstage area. Most of the wrestlers stopped what they were doing when the cops got out and called for order... [C]

[Q5] The announcers recapped the brawl...

    3. Taylor Wilde and Sarita defeated Alissa Flash and Traci Brooks in 5:05. Big dive off the top by Sarita onto the two heels at ringside. During the match, Tenay announced that the Asylum match at the pay-per-view will feature the return of Suicide. In the end, Sarita pinned Flash. The heels attacked the babyfaces after the match...

Backstage, Lauren interviewed The Beautiful People while they sat on their thrones. They griped about Cody Deaner kissing Angelina Love last week. Love said she and Velvet will face ODB and Cody at the pay-per-view...

A shot aired of Kip James picking up trash where the real wrestlers had been brawling. Hernandez showed up and asked what happened. "Where have you been?" Kip asked. "There was like a big brawl around here. Now I've gotta pick all this shit up"... [C]

[Q6] Backstage, Lauren interviewed A.J. Styles, who said he's never seen anything like the brawl. However, he said a meteor couldn't take his focus away from beating Matt Morgan and earning a spot in the Hard Justice main event...

The announcers ran through the pay-per-view lineup: ODB and Deaner vs. Love and Sky, British Invasion vs. Beer Money for the IWGP Tag Titles, Booker and Steiner vs. Team 3D, Homicide vs. Samoa Joe for the X Division Title, Foley vs. Nash for the title no one cares about, and Angle vs. Sting vs. either Styles or Morgan... West hyped house shows...

A Hernandez video aired. He said it's his turn to soar to new heights and be on top...

Tenay interviewed Hernandez in a segment that was taped in the ring while the arena was empty. Tenay asked about his neck surgery. Hernandez said they fused part of his disc with a cadaver disc in his neck, which cut his recovery time in half. Hernandez noted that he played in the Arena Football League.

Hernandez said his father took offense at Konnan attempting to burn the American flag during a past angle. He said his father did 15 tours of Vietnam, and wanted to reenlist after 9/11. He said his father was bothered by the flag burning. Hernandez said some "different things happened," including the flag burning. Hernandez wished Homicide the best in the X Division. He said Homicide will always be his brother. Hernandez said a few words in Spanish...

Backstage, Lauren interviewed Homicide, who shifted the talk away from what Hernandez said onto his X Division Title. Homicide hyped his match against Samoa Joe by saying the 187 is stronger than 13 (Taz's number). His last line was censored...

A shot aired of Matt Morgan walking backstage... [C]

[Q7] 4. Matt Morgan pinned A.J. Styles in 4:50 in the second match of the best of three series. A few minutes in, Morgan went for a chokeslam, but A.J. flipped out of it and hit him a kick. Later, Morgan hit the Hellevator and pinned Styles clean... [C]

An video teased that "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero is coming to TNA on Aug. 16...

Backstage, Borash caught Angle trying to leave the building and asked if he was retreating. Angle said the Mafia have families. After Angle split, Borash spotted a flustered Abyss hiding in a corner. He said he doesn't know who he can trust because Dr. Stevie put out the $50,000 bounty. Consequences Creed entered the picture and complained about Abyss attacking him on a previous show. Jay Lethal attacked Abyss from behind. Creed joined Lethal in trying to beat down Abyss. They failed miserably. Abyss left them lying...

A TNA video hyped that they are creating a new kind of wrestling. Insert your own joke here... A shot aired of Sting walking backstage. Tenay said Sting is making his in-ring return to Impact... [C]

[Q8] [C] 5. Sting defeated Brutus Magnus (w/Doug Williams, Rob Terry) via submission in 6:20. The referee sent Williams and Terry before the match. West complained that they hadn't done anything wrong. Magnus was working over Sting's knee when the show went to commercial a couple minutes into the match. [C]

Shortly after the break, Sting caught Magnus jumping off the ropes and quickly applied the Scorpion Death Lock. Magnus tapped out. After the match, Magnus attacked Sting, who dominated him until the rest of World Elite came to the ring. Sting fought off a couple of them. Eric Young entered the ring and he and Sting ended up face-to-face, but never hit one another. Awkward moment.

With the heel ganging up on Sting, Foley and Lashley hit the ring and helped Sting fight off the heels. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Scott Steiner, Booker T, and Kevin Nash hit the ring. If you thought they really left, you were swerved! Sigh. The heels beat up the babyfaces and left them lying. Tenay said there was no one left to help the babyfaces. Of course, that's when Hernandez came out swinging a chain over his head, which was enough to clear the ring...

The Miz talks about his future with WWE

The Miz talks about his future with WWE

The Miz did an interview with IGN.com and here are the highlights:

IGN: Based on what happened on RAW Monday night, I'm glad they haven't kicked you out of this party.

Miz: Yes, they haven't kicked me out of the party! Hey, we still have [NBC Universal's] Syfy ECW! And we have live events. They never kicked me off RAW live events, so I can still do those as well. So who knows what's going to happen? I don't even know! They don't even tell me… I literally went, "Banned from RAW? And SummerSlam? And the Staples Center!?" I can't even go see a Lakers game right now!

IGN: I have to ask you about your Twitter war with Chris Jericho.

Miz: [Laughs] You know what's funny, everyone always asks me about that. "Dude, what's with this Twitter war?" I was in Australia and he was in the Philippines and we both were on Twitter and we were [among] the first WWE people to be on Twitter. And he literally just said, "You're gay." And I said, "You flat iron your hair, and I'm gay?" Literally, that's how it started. And now we've both been trying to top each other for the past month. Then he was the number one trending topic on Twitter! So it was like, "Wow!" It's just fun. It's all good fun and I laugh about it.

    Chris Masters def. Santino Marella
William Regal & Paul Burchill def. Yoshi Tatsu & Tyler Reks
Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio def. Mike Knox by disqualification

Thursday night on WGN America, “WWE Superstars” brought the WWE Universe a whole lot of hard-hitting, high-flying, bell-to-bell action. With Chris Masters making his “WWE Superstars” debut against Santino Marella, William Regal teaming up with Paul Burchill to face Tyler Reks and Yoshi Tatsu and a main event featuring Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio and Mike Knox going one on one, it was a can’t miss night of impressive in-ring action.

After returning to Raw recently, The Masterpiece made his “WWE Superstars” debut this Thursday by doing what he does best — taking his opponent out with The Master Lock. While Santino Marella put up a great fight, Masters used his impressive strength and amazing abilities to walk away with a win. With a physique and skill set like his, Masters is once again making a serious impact in WWE.

William Regal & Paul Burchill def. Yoshi Tatsu & Tyler Reks (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The WWE Universe openly expressed their dislike of William Regal and Paul Burchill, but it wasn’t enough to stop the rough Englishmen from finding victory in tag team action. Despite showing themselves to be a cohesive unit and displaying impressive strength and speed in the ring, Reks and Tatsu fell short against their opponents thanks in part to the Blackpool native’s veteran knowledge of his craft. Both Tatsu and Reks might have bright futures ahead, but they’ll need to learn how to beat WWE-caliber opponents like their English counterparts before that will come to fruition.

Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio def. Mike Knox by disqualification (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In a possible SummerSlam Intercontinental Championship Match preview, The Desert Destroyer was disqualified against The Master of the 619 due to Dolph Ziggler’s interference. Just one day before Knox and Ziggler step in the ring with Finlay and R-Truth for a Fatal Four Way to find out who will fight Rey for his gold, both men were looking to send a message to Mysterio. However, after the match, The Ultimate Underdog used his speed and some evasive tactics to avoid vicious attacks from both men. Who Mysterio will face at SummerSlam is still up in the air, but after what transpired on “WWE Superstars,” he now knows that he has one of the toughest fights of his life ahead of him.

    Ezekiel Jackson def. local competitor
    Sheamus def. Goldust
ECW Champion Christian def. Tommy Dreamer (Extreme Rules, Title Match)

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – In one of the most historic, memorable matches in ECW on Syfy history, Christian retained his ECW Championship after defeating Tommy Dreamer in a brutal Extreme Rules Match, complete with Singpore canes, crutches, steel trash cans, a hot dog cart and even a car door, Tuesday night in Nassau Coliseum.

ECW Champion Christian def. Tommy Dreamer (Extreme Rules, Title Match) (PHOTOS | WATCH)
With no countouts and no disqualifications, anything was possible when ECW Champion Christian defended his title against Tommy Dreamer in a match near and dear to the ECW Original’s heart – Extreme Rules. Dreamer used nearly every Extreme prop imaginable to bruise and batter Captain Charisma in front of the WWE Universe, who was clearly divided with their cheers for both competitors.

Dreamer tossed Christian face-first into a hot dog cart, reached in, took a bite of a hot dog, then brazenly smashed the rest into his opponent’s face. Christian endured a beating with steel condiment containers, crutches and Singapore canes, and was even sent head-first into a steel trash can. But Captain Charisma endured, retaliating against the ECW Original who was so hungry to regain the Title. Christian picked up a car door from outside the ring, but Dreamer tried to used it against him, attempting to Piledrive the ECW Champion into the steel. When it mattered most, Christian countered, sending Dreamer into the car door with a Killswitch. Christian picked up the car door and laid it atop Dreamer to aid him with the pin, securing the victory to retain the ECW Championship.

With the ECW Title still strapped around Christian’s waist after the hard-fought Extreme Rules battle, who will Captain Charisma have to face in the future on the road to SummerSlam?

“The Abraham Washington Show” returns (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Zack Ryder interrupted this week’s “Abraham Washington Show,” claiming the show as his own, since they were in Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum – his home turf. “Bro, this is Long Island and everyone knows the only good thing to come out of Long Island is Zack Ryder,” he said. But Washington’s originally scheduled guest, Shelton Benjamin, emerged to defend himself against the badmouthing Ryder and Washington.

Benjamin challenged Ryder to prove he’s the more entertaining Superstar, so Washington decided he’d hold an impromptu “Abraham Idol” show. Ryder showed off his singing skills with Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Only Wanna Be With You.” But as The Gold Standard belted out the same tune, Ryder attacked him from behind and said: “Now you’re singing the blues. Woo Woo Woo.” Benjamin rose to his feet and retaliated, flipping Ryder over the couch, turning “The Abraham Washington Show” into an all-out brawl.

Now that Benjamin has finally been a guest – and left a mark – on “The Abraham Washington Show,” will The Gold Standard be welcomed back again? What’s next for Benjamin and Ryder?

Ezekiel Jackson def. local competitor (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Ezekiel Jackson easily steamrolled through another local competitor this week on ECW on Syfy. But Vladimir Kozlov again appeared after Jackson’s match, staring down the seemingly unstoppable force. The Moscow Mauler picked up the local competitor and hit him with an Iron Curtain. Not to be outdone in the game of oneupsmanship, Jackson again leveled the local opponent, then exited the ring without looking back. When will these two Superstars finally clash in the Land of the Extreme?

Sheamus def. Goldust (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In a repeat performance of last week’s match, ECW’s new Celtic Warrior bested The Bizarre One. After his win, the undefeated Sheamus told the WWE Universe: “I came in search of gold and all they gave me was dust,” which prompted Goldust to attack the Irishman. What’s next for these two ECW on Syfy rivals?

The mysterious masked man saves the day (WATCH)
The mysterious masked man arrived just in time to rescue a backstage employee from danger again. But before ECW General Manager Tiffany could talk to him, the masked man disappeared as quickly as he appeared in the Land of the Extreme.

    Tony Atlas Ontslagen

-- It would appear that WWE has parted ways with Hall of Famer Tony Atlas as his profile was removed from the ECW roster section either today or yesterday. At the very least, he is no longer a member of the active roster.

New Japan niet tevreden over titel verlies team 3D

New Japan announced today that Team 3-D's IWGP title loss to Doug Williams & Brutus Magnus in TNA was not sanctioned by them and therefore Team 3-D remains the IWGP champions.

TNA is ignoring that as Williams and Magnus are set to defend the IWGP titles against Beer Money at the Hard Justice PPV on 8/16.
