    TNA iMPACT Results - July 09, 2009
    Report by PWInsider

Mick Foley comes to the ring to start things off. Mick says that life can be kind of funny. Maybe you get staples over his eye and you look cool, but you get stitches in your nostril and you look foolish. Mick says that he has been thinking about it and he does not think that TNA is set up to have two separate deciders in the front office. Mick suggests that tonight be the night when one of them step down.

Jeff Jarrett comes to the ring. Jeff asks Mick if he ever thinks about what he says and Mick says that he does not have one of those filtering mechanisms. Jeff acknowledges that they are both competitors and he knows that Mick wants to be back in the middle of things. Jeff reminds Mick that he became the TNA Champion. Jeff asks if the story should have stopped there and he says that it should have but it did not. Jeff says that Mick has put TNA in danger with his desire to get his title back. Jeff says that Mick will always be a true legend in the business regardless of what happens at Victory Road. Jeff asks Mick to do one thing and that is to think about why he came to TNA, the young athletes who need the two of them to co-exist for the good of the company. Jeff asks Mick to think of the future and they could build the company to heights they could never had dreamed of. Jeff tells Mick that it was their dream, but if the Main Event Mafia wins all of the titles, it could be a battle they cannot win.

Mick tells Jeff that he appreciates what he is saying. Mick says that maybe he was stupid to say that he would defend the title once a year. Mick says that they are even, but Jeff is wrong when he says that Mick has nothing to prove. Mick says that he needs to prove something to himself. He needs to prove that the title win was no fluke and he needs to do it against the best wrestler in the world. Mick says that he is going to do it for the right reasons this time. Mick suggests that they have a main event tonight for Kurt Angle to have a tune up match against Jeff Jarrett in a non-title match. Jarrett says that he likes that idea. Jeff wants to up the ante and he wants to tweak things a little. Jeff wants to make it a three way dance with Angle and Jarrett having Mick Foley added to the mix. Mick wants to give Kurt Angle a chance to name the guest referee for the match. Jarrett says that Angle can name the guest referee, but it cannot be a member of the Main Event Mafia or Matt Morgan.

We go to Lauren in the back with The British Invasion. She mentions that the X Division title match shot will be up for grabs in a ladder match. Doug Williams says that he is going to give someone an opportunity at the briefcase. If you beat him fair and square, you get the title match. Brutus says that they are here to make the big money. He does not want to be looked down upon by the fans. They are here to take their place atop the tag team division. We go to commercial.

We are back and Doug Williams has a mic as he comes to the ring. He reminds everyone about the open challenge to get the X Division Title Match case. Doug says that he wants a real wrestler tonight, not a redneck.

We go to an interview that Mike Tenay did with Suicide. Mike talks about how we know about Suicide from his entrance music lyrics. He says that he was in darkness and felt the pain. He says the torment is not his alone and it is shared. He says that he was left with two choices, life or death. Suicide says that he chooses to see the light and come alive. He says that he is the dark savior. He says that he does not represent the end. He represents the beginning.

Speaking of Sting, it is time for him to come to the ring to address the fans and he has his stolen booty from Kurt Angle. Sting tells Kurt that he knows that Kurt is watching in the back and he has Kurt’s belt. He tells Kurt that if Kurt wants it, Kurt can get it. Sting wants to talk to Joe and he wants Joe to come out.

Joe obliges Sting and comes out. Joe does not have his trademark and vintage black towel. Sting tells Joe that he is every reason why wrestling is as bad as it is and as bad as this company is. It was people like Joe who forced the Main Event Mafia to form. He tells Joe that he does not want to work to get things. Sting says that he does not need four guys behind him and he can fight for himself. He tells Joe that things are wrong because Joe pissed him off. Sting tells Joe to do something about it and he wants to know why Joe isn’t doing anything. Sting asks Joe who is stopping him.

Joe says that he has been told to keep his temper. He tells Sting that his time will come.

Sting asks Joe who is telling Joe what Joe should do. Sting tells Joe that he knows that Joe is not doing this on his own. Sting wants to know who Joe’s ‘Oz’ is behind the curtain.

Joe says that Sting will find out at Victory Road.

Sting says that he will find the person and pull him from the darkness and pull him apart piece by piece and feed him to the fans.

    We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time to go to Lauren with Jenna. Lauren asks Jenna about her match at Victory Road and wants to know how she is training. Jenna says that he will use her money. She bought a trainer of her own and Saeed says that she will destroy.

    R-Truth def. Ricky Ortiz
    Zack Ryder def. Tyler Reks
Hornswoggle def. Chavo Guerrero (on his knees)

The advertisements for “WWE Superstars” promise the WWE Universe to expect everything, but the sight of Chavo Guerrero facing Hornswoggle while on his knees still came as a hilarious shock to everyone who tuned into this Thursday’s show. With this bizarre matchup in the main event slot and contests between Ricky Ortiz and R-Truth and a rematch between Zack Ryder and ECW newcomer Tyler Reks, “WWE Superstars” is proving to be one of the most electrifying shows on TV.

Don’t know where to catch “WWE Superstars”? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see “WWE Superstars” on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.

R-Truth def. Ricky Ortiz (PHOTOS | WATCH)
While Ricky Ortiz has spent his time offering up motivational speeches in the backstage area to anyone who will listen, R-Truth has been chalking up impressive victories in the SmackDown ring. This hot streak gave Truth the confidence and savvy he needed to pull out a victory over Mr. O despite a size disadvantage. Perhaps this loss will teach Ricky O. to focus more on his ring game instead of his wordplay.

Zack Ryder def. Tyler Reks (PHOTOS | WATCH)
After being defeated by Zack Ryder on last Thursday’s “WWE Superstars,” ECW newcomer Tyler Reks was looking for retribution. Unfortunately, the Southern California surfer was unable to overcome Ryder in their rematch. The Long Island native has been on a white hot streak and has quickly become a Superstar to watch. Reks and the other young competitors of ECW’s New Talent Initiative are quickly learning that victory in WWE doesn’t come easy.

Hornswoggle def. Chavo Guerrero (PHOTOS | WATCH)
If anyone knows how to make things interesting, it’s Mr. McMahon. So when the WWE Chairman decided that Chavo Guerrero would have to be on his knees when he faced Hornswoggle, the WWE Universe knew things were about to get wild. With the self-proclaimed “Mexican Warrior” on equal footing, the little Irishman was able control much of the action and put Guerrero away with a Tadpole Splash. Looks like Mr. McMahon taught Chavo a thing or two about picking on someone your own size.

WWE ANNIHILATION WORDT TERUG CYBER SUNDAY

-- WWE apparently went back to the Cyber Sunday PPV name because some in management didn't like the Annihilation name. Cyber Sunday was switched to Annihilation on the WWE website recently, but then quickly changed back. The Cyber Sunday name still may end up being dropped though as WWE wants to get away from the cyber PPV concept.

Brie Bella (with Nikki) def. Katie Lea Burchill
    Shelton Benjamin def. Yoshi Tatsu
    Ezekiel Jackson def. local competitor
    Christian def. Vladimir Kozlov

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Tommy Dreamer proudly grasped his ECW Championship – a title he spent years fighting and hungering for – as he watched two Superstars battle for the spot as No. 1 contender. The ECW Original sat stone-faced as he learned he’ll face his friend and former ECW Champion, Christian, later this month in a city rich in ECW history – Philadelphia.

Christian def. Vladimir Kozlov (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Christian earned No. 1 Contendership to the ECW Championship Thursday night with a colossal victory over Vladimir Kozlov. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer joined the ECW announce team during the match, and said he’d face either Superstar and defend his title with honor at Night of Champions on July 26.

While the dominant, angry Moscow Mauler brutalized Captain Charisma throughout the match, former ECW Champion Christian was fueled by the desire to once again earn a chance at the Extreme Title. Christian landed a devastating Killswitch on the Sambo master for the key victory.

ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer must defend his prized Title at Night of Champions on July 26 against one of the Superstars closest to him – No. 1 contender Christian. Additionally, the match will take place in Philadelphia – the birthplace of ECW. What will happen when Dreamer and Christian – two Superstars motivated by heart, soul and fortitude – clash in the City of Brotherly Love?

"The Abraham Washington Show" with ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer (PHOTOS)
One of ECW’s newest Superstars – Abraham Washington – returned to the Land of the Extreme this week with a special guest in tow – ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer. When Washington wasn’t bragging about his show’s high ratings, he was picking on the ECW Original.

“You are the biggest Superstar in ECW history,” Washington mocked Dreamer. “Unfortunately I mean that literally, man. I mean you are huge!”

Dreamer refused to give in to Washington’s taunts. Instead, he told the WWE Universe he wanted to face Christian – not Kozlov – at Night of Champions, because pound-for-pound, he’s a great competitor and friend, which prompted the Moscow Mauler to invade the ring and stare down the ECW Champion.

Ezekiel Jackson def. local competitor (PHOTOS)
Ezekiel Jackson – who arrived in ECW in the WWE Draft earlier this year – made a quick and forceful impact on the Land of the Extreme Thursday night. After telling the WWE Universe there’s only one name that’s important in the history of ECW – and that’s Ezekiel – the massive, 6-foot-4-inch Superstar sent a powerful message by decimating a local competitor with a Modified Yurinagi. How does Jackson plan to dominate the Land of the Extreme?

Shelton Benjamin def. Yoshi Tatsu (PHOTOS)
Seeking revenge for last week’s quick loss to Yoshi Tatsu, Shelton Benjamin was on a mission to punish his Japanese competitor who arrived in ECW via the New Superstar Initiative. This week, Tatsu proved he’s a worthy opponent to The Gold Standard, pummeling him with kick after kick, and impressing the WWE Universe with a giant Springboard Spinning Heel Kick off the ropes. Despite holding the momentum for most of the match, Tatsu fell to Benjamin’s Pay Dirt. The Gold Standard and the Japanese Superstar are 1 and 1 – who will regain the lead in this Extreme rivalry?

Brie Bella (with Nikki) def. Katie Lea Burchill (PHOTOS | WATCH)
ECW’s newest Divas – twin sisters Brie and Nikki Bella – showed off their strong and sly in-ring skills to the WWE Universe this week. With Brie cheering her on at ringside, Nikki began the match against Katie Lea Burchill, but when her opponent’s and the referee’s backs were turned, the twins pulled off a winning switch. Candice Michelle update: Her asking price & future

Candice Michelle update: Her asking price & future

The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Candice Michelle is asking $5,000 per-appearance now that she’s been released from WWE. Friends say she is doing well financially from the GoDaddy.com commercials and other non-wrestling appearances, plus her husband also makes good money as a chiropractor.

She has told friends that she never needed to wrestle, but enjoyed it. She’s not ruling out a return to the wrestling business, but is giving friends the impression that she wants to spend more time at home now that she’s no longer with WWE.

There’s no word yet on whether TNA is interested or not.

Rudy Charles reageert voor het eerst sinds ontslag

Released TNA Referee Comments On His Departure

Recently released TNA referee Rudy Charles has posted a new blog on his MySpace account. Here are some highlights:

I was recently informed by TNA Wrestling that I was being let go. While I could easily cast blame and be angry at the circumstances, that is not how I want to handle the situation. As a company, TNA is free to run their business as they see fit.

I had been a part of the TNA family since the company began in 2002. On camera, I served as a referee since the first show and was promoted to senior referee a few months later. Behind the scenes, I was as a receptionist/assistant/merchandise guy/you name it for the first year and a half and have served as the Creative Assistant for the last 3½ years. During that time, it has been a privilege to serve my co-workers and you, the fans, every time I stepped into the TNA offices, the creative meetings or the six-sided ring. However, that chapter of my life has come to an end and I would like to wish TNA the best in their future endeavors.

While I am still considering all the possibilities that my future holds and exploring options outside of the wrestling business, I am by no means stepping away from the ring. I have talked to several promoters about refereeing for their organizations and am excited about some of the possibilities and challenges that working with an up-and-coming promotion can provide.

He also thanks his family, fans, colleagues and friends for their support.

    Update over rudy Charles

More details on top referee leaving TNA

As reported earlier, referee Rudy Charles recently parted ways with TNA. Contrary to reports on various wrestling websites, Charles was released as he did not quit the organization, reports The Sun.

His primary job in the company was as an assistant to the creative team, but he was no longer needed and TNA chose not to retain him as a referee.

Hulk Hogan hints that he might join TNA

Hulk Hogan hints that he might join TNA

In an interview with The Southtown Star, Hulk Hogan talked about various topics including the WWE vs. TNA war:

"I watch both products. (TNA's) like the little engine that could. Everybody thought they wouldn't be around for long, and they've been chugging along for seven years. They gain momentum every week. They seem to be real fresh. When a lot of guys go over to that side of the fence, they seem to get a spring in their step," Hogan said. He added that he also watched the WWE product saying, " Vince is the constant. He's the standard of excellence. I just love watching his show because you never know what he is going to do. Plus, the production -- you can't even touch his production. It's so dialed-in. It's amazing just to see how they put the pieces together."

"If you look at history, everyone says, 'History repeats itself.' With all of the choices in the universe of entertainment, I look at the big package and look at the big picture from 40,000 feet. I see history repeating itself. I see TNA getting strong. I see Vince McMahon being impeccable except for a few little holes in the boat."

"TNA is lacking that one momentum-shifting move, that one big name that would even the playing field, the brand (that is) just as powerful as the WWE brand. (TNA's) lacking the big piece of the puzzle. It wouldn't matter who did what in the past. It will be a totally even playing field. You never know."

The question now is Hogan really interested in TNA or is this his way of trying to get leverage with Vince McMahon for another WWE run?

Matt Hardy Speaks On His Surgery & Graphic Pic

Matt Hardy Speaks On His Surgery & Graphic Pic

Matt Hardy has posted a new blog on WWE Universe including a graphic photo of his abdomen following surgery on July 2. You can view the photo at this link.

Hardy said he knew he was injured half was through last week’s WWE Superstars triple threat match against MVP and Kofi in Green Bay. ” The triple threat match against MVP and Kofi in Green Bay was the straw that broke the camel's back. In a few days, I'm gonna post a tell-all blog on my WWE Universe page and fill everyone in on everything.”

He added, “when Kofi gave me a cross body from the top rope, my intestines basically exploded out of my abdominal wall. And not just in one spot, but in two spots. It was so excruciatingly painful it's almost hard to describe. It felt like someone took a hot knife and sliced it deeply into my lower abdomen. I did my best to try and get through the remainder of the match, but I knew I was hurt badly. I had to have it fixed, or face major health problems. Problems that could have possibly killed me. So I had do what was good for me, my career, my friends, and my loved ones. And that was get it corrected and fixed.”

Hardy also thanked the WWE, Dr. Pappas, Duke Medical Center, Shannon Moore for their support through the injury.

    Burke ondergaat operatie

Former WWE Superstar Undergoes Surgery - Details

Former WWE Superstar Elijah Burke is currently dealing with a medical issue. He revealed on his Twitter that he was on the way to hospital but not to assume anything. “Well, Pope's en route to the emergency room. However, don't ASSUME anything! Pope will let you know his status shortly, if need be.”

Burke later then followed it up with, “Minor Surgery. I'm kinda out of it right now. Not sure, but Elijah Burke may be finished for right now. I will update later @ TEE.com.”

Previous to both tweets Burke said he fell down a flight of stairs, which may be the cause of his surgery. “Good Grief, Pope just fell down a flight of stairs. Of injuries, not sure; Pretty banged up, I Am.”

Triple H vs. John Cena ended in a double disqualification
Evan Bourne def. U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston (non-title)
    Randy Orton def. Ted DiBiase
Mark Henry def. Cody Rhodes (count-out)
Mickie James & Gail Kim def. Divas Champion Maryse & Alicia Fox
Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho def. Carlito & Primo

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Million Dollar Man certainly knows how to get his money’s worth. Having bought his way onto Raw as special guest host, he put the entire roster on notice, including his own son. The moneyed mover-and-shaker also arranged two matches for Night of Champions: Unified WWE Tag Team Champion Edge & Chris Jericho will defend against The Legacy’s Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes; WWE Champion Randy Orton will defend his title in a Triple Threat Match against Triple H and John Cena.

Triple H vs. John Cena ended in a double disqualification after Rhodes & DiBiase interfered; Million Dollar Man calls a WWE Triple Threat Title Match for Night of Champions with Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena (PHOTOS | WATCH | FULL PREVIEW)
Saying something does not make it so. If only that were true, WWE Champion Randy Orton would have been one happy man after the Night of Champions Tournament final. The match pitted Triple H against John Cena – in only their third-ever bout against each other – to determine which Superstar would face Orton for the title in three weeks. The momentum between these two warriors ebbed and flowed throughout the match until, battle-weary, they were attacked by Orton’s Legacy henchmen, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. With both The Game and Cena each having won a match in their two previous encounters, their third-ever match would end in a double disqualification.

That’s when The Viper smugly attempted to tell the WWE Universe that, since there was no winner, he would have to face neither man at Night of Champions. His self-satisfaction was cut off at the knees, however, when The Million Dollar Man, interrupted him with a different interpretation of events. Raw’s special guest host informed Orton that, the way he saw things, neither man lost. Therefore, each would be allowed to compete for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions in a Triple Threat Match.

Evan Bourne def. United States Champion Kofi Kingston; Big Show attacked both (PHOTOS | WATCH)
United States Champion Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne put on quite an air show when the two took to the ring. Bourne, a new Raw recruit, appeared determined to avenge his premiere match as a Raw Superstar in which he lost to WWE Champion Randy Orton. Despite the Jamaican Superstar’s always exciting effort, Bourne proved too difficult to ground as he prevailed in the match. As the Raw rookie offered Kingston a hand up, however, Big Show stormed the ring. The World’s Largest Athlete attacked the United States Champion without provocation, which attracted the ire of Bourne, who tried to help his fellow high-flyer. While Bourne and Kingston worked well against the behemoth, Show eventually left the two to nurse some painful scrapes and bruises.

Jack Swagger confronts MVP in the VIP Lounge (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Montel Vontavious Porter doesn’t take insults very well – or at all, for that matter. After extending an invitation to his VIP Lounge to Jack Swagger, The Franchise Playa asked why one of Raw’s newest recruits would intentionally lose a match to Randy Orton just as “The All American-American” did last week. Swagger went on to bring up his host’s incarceration as a young man. MVP used the occasion to insist that he wasn’t ashamed of his troubled past and, in fact, has since tried to use his experience to keep other young men out of prison. The fact that Swagger tried to insult MVP, however, was cause enough for The Franchise Playa to challenge him. For his part, Swagger cravenly exited the ring, saying that he doesn’t fight people beneath him. Oh, no he didn’t!

Randy Orton def. Ted DiBiase (PHOTOS | WATCH)
When his father arranged for him to face the leader of The Legacy, WWE Champion Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase was shocked and outraged. How could his own flesh and blood do such a thing? But then, after Orton suggested that DiBiase could never beat him, a fire was suddenly lit under Orton’s henchman. That blaze fueled DiBiase as he tackled the challenge of Orton head-on. DiBiase’s resilience seemed to surprise the WWE Champion, who failed to pin the young upstart in several attempts. Despite a valiant effort, however, DiBiase fell to The Viper, who hit a devastating RKO to ensure the victory.

Mark Henry def. Cody Rhodes by count-out (PHOTOS)
It was clear from the moment the Million Dollar Man arranged the match that Cody Rhodes wanted nothing to do with Mark Henry. Rhodes even tried to bribe Million Dollar Man – to no avail – into calling off the bout. Once the match got underway, however, it was easy to see why. The World’s Strongest Man, and new Raw acquisition, dominated the second generation Superstar, pummeling him to the point where Rhodes, after a particularly hard hit, left the ring and refused to return, resulting in a loss by intentional count-out.

Mickie James & Gail Kim def. Divas Champion Maryse & Alicia Fox (PHOTOS)
Mickie James keeps circling Divas Champion Maryse and eyeing her title like a kid eyes an ice cream cone – she can practically taste it. Before she has an opportunity to net the WWE Butterfly at Night of Champions, though, she’s using the next few weeks to get a better bead on her arrogant opponent’s ring style. This week, she was joined by new Raw recruit Gail Kim, while Maryse shared a corner with Alicia Fox. When the glitter finally settled on these smart, sexy, powerful ladies, however, it was actually Kim who had pinned the Divas Champion, leaving Maryse’s feathers more than a little ruffled.

Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho def. Carlito & Primo; Carlito attacked brother Primo after the match (PHOTOS | WATCH)
The frustration was unmistakable. For the third time in a row, Carlito, along with his younger brother, Primo, failed to defeat Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho. After the match, with Primo on his knees recovering from an Edge spear, the elder Colon could not longer contain his aggravation. He grabbed Primo and threw him against the ring post, then slammed him atop the announcer’s table before storming off.

Special guest host Million Dollar Man arranged match between Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho and Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions; he also arranged two other matches: Rhodes vs. Mark Henry and his son Ted vs. WWE Champion Randy Orton (PHOTOS | WATCH)

The Million Dollar Man stood in the center of the ring flanked by his son, Ted DiBiase, and Cody Rhodes. The WWE Legend announced to the crowd packed into the HP Pavilion that The Legacy would battle the Unified Tag Team Champions Edge & Chris Jericho for their titles at Night of Champions.

Then he dropped a couple of bombshells. He not only arranged for Cody to face off against Mark Henry later in the night, he also pitted his own son in a match against the leader of The Legacy, WWE Champion Randy Orton. Despite protests from the young Superstars, the ring veteran refused to budge.

    Report: WWE Confirms Edge's Injury

Report: WWE Confirms Edge's Injury, Surgery

The following is from Joey Styles of WWE.com:

WWE Unified Tag Team Champion, Edge suffered a tear to his Achilles heel tendon last Friday, July 3, during a WWE live event in San Diego. Edge's opponent was the man with whom he has traded the WWE Championship, Jeff Hardy.

Almost immediately after the bout started, Edge was in his corner when Hardy charged toward him. After attempting to leapfrog Hardy, Edge crumbled to the canvas. Hardy was backed off by the referee, who checked repeatedly with Edge before summoning WWE doctors and athletic trainers and instructing ring announcer Justin Roberts that because Edge could not continue, Jeff Hardy was the winner of the match via forfeit. WWE referees, athletic trainers and doctors then helped Edge to the back as Edge could bear no weight on his left ankle.

Edge arrived this morning at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Ala., this morning to surgically repair the torn Achilles tendon in his left ankle. Dr. James Andrews currently has Edge's operation scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. Dr. Andrews has previously performed surgeries on WWE Superstars Batista, Triple H, John Cena, Rey Mysterio and many others. Andrews also consulted on NFL quarterback Tom Brady after his third knee surgery and most recently worked with Brett Favre for his possible return to the NFL.

WWE.com will attempt to have comments from both Dr. Andrews and Edge later today, including a timeline for Edge's return to the ring.

WWE.com will also investigate how this injury will affect the status of the Unified Tag Team Titles, as well as Edge & Chris Jericho's scheduled match with Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase at Night of Champions.

Matt Hardy posts a blog about his health

Matt Hardy posts a blog about his health

Smackdown Superstar Matt Hardy has posted a new blog on his MySpace page where he addresses the injury reports and sheds some light on what’s been going on with him. Thanks to Jen Carson for passing this along:

Well guys and gals, since the news has been leaked all over the ‘net, I figured I should go ahead and address it truthfully. Yes, the rumors are true, I had some major surgery a couple of day ago. The triple threat match against MVP and Kofi in Green Bay was the straw that broke the camel’s back. In a few days, I’m gonna blog on my WWE Universe page and fill everyone in on everything. But here’s a little taste of how tough and annoying the last 2 years of my life has been. For two years, I’ve been working with a slight abdominal tear, a genetic defect that I was actually born with. Even though we torture ourselves every night in that ring for each of your guy’s entertainment.. But don’t get me wrong, we love it and chose to do it. The tear hasn’t been anything that has really over-affected me performance-wise.. Until.. My appendectomy. From when I returned in April 2008, my abdominal tear became gradually worse. I was having a U.S. Title run I was very proud of.. So I sucked it up! I became the ECW Champion, and was having one of the best runs of my career, and the abdominal injury really started bothering me.. So I sucked it up! I wanted to get it fixed before it got really bad.. BUT.. I had an issue with Jeff on TV which would ultimately lead us to wrestling one another at THE show of all shows, Wrestlemania. So I sucked it up and got through it! Basically, in a nutshell, my intestines were slowly tearing through my abdomen.. Which affected my training greatly, my in-ring work, and my physical appearance. My intestines were slowly swelling because they were all outta wack and protruding through my abdominal wall. But I sucked it up and gave everything I had. I haven’t been able to do a sit-up in two years. And as I totally expected, The lil “wanna be cool guys” that feel like bad-asses behind a keyboard LOVED to make comments about my weight gain because I was being lazy. Little did they know, or yet probably even care, that I’ve stayed constantly frustrated that I was dealing with these serious complications. Honestly, I only care about the personal friends and family that I have, that know my true deal.. It’s only their opinions I take serious and to heart. Anybody who writes about me, whether good or bad, but especially bad.. I couldn’t care less. I just say thanks for keeping me in the news. The night in Green Bay, when Kofi gave me a cross body from the top rope, my intestines exploded out through my abdominal wall.. And not just in one spot, but in two spots. I had to have it fixed, or face major health problems.. Problems that could have killed me. So as always, I do what’s good for me, my career, friends, and loved ones. Hateful, ignorant comments made on the world wide web certainly doesn’t bothered me-but sometimes give me a good laugh.. And my world is a world those people will never experience. I can actually get into the shape I wanna be in now.. Very excited about that. It’s sushi time peeps, I’ll be back soon to blog for guys again. Be well, and until then..Quote of the day – “Everyone’s gathered to idolize me”

    - King Of Leon, The Bucket Matt
