WWE Star Matt Hardy is definitely keeping everyone guessing when it pertains to reports that he suffered a torn abdominal muscle. As we reported, he had wrote a blog on his Myspace account saying he was fine and thanked everyone for thinking of him.
Today he posted a short note on his Twitter account saying I have a BIG appointment this afternoon.. Yikes!
As announced this past Friday evening on WWE.com, World Wrestling Entertainment released former Womens Champion Candice Michelle (Candice Michelle Beckman-Ehrlich), 30, from her contract. Her sudden release from WWE wasnt seen as a surprise internally.
It is believed that Michelles less than stellar appearance at the television tapings in Los Angeles a few weeks ago ultimately sealed her fate with company officials. She had not been seen since WrestleMania, but when she arrived at the shows in Los Angeles, she didnt look Diva like, and there were those who felt she was ready to leave the company and move on. As it turns out, WWE beat her to the punch by releasing her a few weeks later.
She told officials she was just about ready to return from her latest injury, but they gave very little leeway because she is a woman and there is a weight issue. The impression on her was always that she wasnt someone with a naturally thin body, and that she had to work very hard to look the way she did, and when you get older, fighting those genetics gets much harder. In a company where the women are primarily there for their looks, some felt she didnt have that look anymore, so they decided to let her go.
Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne Dolph Ziggler def. Jimmy Wang Yang United States Champion Kofi Kingston def. MVP & Matt Hardy in a Triple Threat Match
United States Champion Kofi Kingston had the unenviable task of defending his gold against former champions Matt Hardy and Montel Vontavious Porter in a Triple Threat Match in the main event of this weeks WWE Superstars. As if that wasnt enough of a reason to tune in to WGN America, Thursdays show also featured ECW standouts Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne squaring off in singles action and an impressive appearance from the cocksure Dolph Ziggler.

Jack Swagger def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS | WATCH) Former ECW Champion Jack Swagger got the better of high-flyin Superstar Evan Bourne when the two ECW sensations faced off in the opening bout of WWE Superstars. Coming off a brutal defeat at the hands of the monstrous Mark Henry, Air Bourne was hoping to pull out a victory and get back to his winning ways, but the powerful Swagger had other ideas. The All-American American used his collegiate wrestling skills to ground the gravity-defying Superstar and his brute strength to eventually put Bourne away. If Swaggers recent victories are any indication, the 6-foot-6 physical specimen will be a serious threat to Tommy Dreamers ECW Championship when the two men compete in the five-man Scramble Match at The Bash.
Dolph Ziggler def. Jimmy Wang Yang (PHOTOS | WATCH) The braggadocios Dolph Ziggler infuriated the WWE Universe on Thursday night by once again backing up his loud mouth with an impressive in-ring victory. The flamboyant SmackDown star hasnt been shy about flapping his lips and enraging every fan in sight with his cocky attitude, yet no Superstar has been able to shut the bleached-blonde blowhard up including Jimmy Wang Yang, who fell to Ziggler tonight. Perhaps the arrogant Superstar will finally be at a loss for words when he faces The Great Khali at The Bash their match was announced on tonights show.
United States Champion Kofi Kingston def. MVP & Matt Hardy in a Triple Threat Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) Since defeating Montel Vontavious Porter for the United States Championship, Kofi Kingstons in-ring performance has been nothing short of outstanding and tonight was no different. Pitted against two former champions who were eager to regain the United States Championship, the explosive Kingston overcame the odds and held onto his gold in an exciting main event. The Jamaican Superstar may owe some of his victory to the fact that Matt Hardy and MVP could not get past their torrid history and spent as much time battling each other as they did Kingston. While Hardy and The Ballin Superstar waged a war of their own, Kingston took the opportunity to capitalize and score the victory.
Matt Hardy Comments On Injury Rumors; Updates Fans
Matt Hardy posted an update on his MySpace blog saying he is "ok" to reports of him injuring his abdominal muscles on Monday during the Superstars TV taping in a match against U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston and William Regal.
Matt said, "Hey everybody. I hope this message finds you all well and happy. There's several varying stories going around on the 'net about me. I'm ok and will be ok. Things for checking on me and I appreciate the fact that you care."
On Monday night/early Tuesday morning on Twitter, Matt said, "Tonight I have finally been set free to heal and live comfortably again, even in pain and agony.."
CM Punk is said to be working hurt right now. Nobody knows the extent of his injury because hes not selling it to anyone, but locker room sources say his upper-body pain shows.
Randy-Savage.com received an e-mail from WWE fan Brian Henderson that WWE security violently took away from him and his friends a large Randy Savage banner they made last night. He was sitting 9 rows back on the hard camera side. Apparently security explained the reason as "He's not part of the show anymore. No need for a sign."
For those wondering, Lisa Marie Varon did not come up with her ring name in TNA Wrestling, which is Tara. In actuality, management decided her name for her.
When asked if she came up with the ring name, Varon responded on her Twitter account (twitter.com/TNALisaMarie) with the following: "TNA gave me the name.
Evan Bourne def. Tyson Kidd Finlay def. Zack Ryder Jack Swagger & Mark Henry def. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer & Christian
MILWAUKEE Mark Henry, Christian, Jack Swagger and Finlay all have their eyes set on Tommy Dreamers ECW Championship. In the final ECW on Sci Fi before this Sundays Bash, all five Extreme Superstars in the ECW Championship Scramble clashed, but The Worlds Strongest Man gained the upper hand.
Jack Swagger & Mark Henry def. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer & Christian (PHOTOS | WATCH) Four of the five Superstars competing in the ECW Championship Scramble at The Bash this Sunday squared off in tag team action on Tuesday night. Christian came close to a victory after hitting the Killswitch on Jack Swagger, but WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas interfered, continuing the match. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer then assaulted Atlas outside of the ring, prompting Mark Henry to attack Christian, shoving him into the ring post. Henry then tossed Christian back into the ring, allowing Swagger to hit the Gutwrench Powerbomb on the ailing Captain Charisma for the win.
When Dreamer went to check on his tag team partner after the match, Henry attacked the ECW Champion with a Worlds Strongest Slam. Then as Swagger stared down at Dreamer and Christian, his own tag team partner also picked him up and hit him with a Worlds Strongest Slam, too.
Henry has sent a clear warning to his Bash opponents The Worlds Strongest Man is determined to leave Sacramento, Calif., with the ECW Championship in his arms, and hell steamroll through anyone who gets in his way. But who will win the ECW Championship Scramble at The Bash? Watch it live, only on pay-per-view, this Sunday at 8/7 CT.
Finlay def. Zack Ryder (PHOTOS | WATCH) The Man Who Loves to Fight offered the WWE Universe an explanation to the WWE Universe for his recent actions. Finlay said he attacked Dreamer, Christian and Swagger on last weeks ECW because he suffered a scratched cornea earlier this month while breaking up a fight between Dreamer and Christian, who apparently half-heartedly apologized via text message. The injury left Finlay out of action for several weeks, wondering if his WWE career was finished. So what I did last week was not a cheap shot. It was not a stab in the back. It was an eye for an eye, he said.
Soon after his explanation, Finlay faced off against Zack Ryder the brash Superstar who calls himself the man on ECW. The young Superstar proved hes strong and agile in the ring, but after targeting Finlays eye, it seemed The Fighting Irishman was re-injured. While Finlay was down on the mat, Ryder exposed a turnbuckle. The ECW Official noticed and turned his back on the action and Finlay stole a victory, pinning Ryder while holding his tights. As Finlay walked up the ramp nursing his swollen eye, Ryder could only complain to the ECW Official who didnt see his opponent cheat to win. But will Finlays injury affect his performance in the ECW Championship Scramble at The Bash this Sunday?
Evan Bourne def. Tyson Kidd (PHOTOS) After Evan Bourne was not only defeated by Mark Henry last week, but also repeatedly hit with The Worlds Strongest Slam, its a wonder the high-flying Superstar was able to compete on Tuesdays ECW. But Air Bourne, whose injured ribs were noticeably taped again, not only competed, but defeated Tyson Kidd with an amazing Shooting Star Press. This victory came after the ECW Official ejected Kidds meddling Hart Dynasty counterparts, David Hart Smith and Natalya, from ringside. Will The Hart Dynasty avenge Kidds loss to Bourne?
A mysterious masked man appears (WATCH) Just as Gregory Helms began an interview with Mark Henry and WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, a stagehand became pinned beneath a large case which was knocked off a forklift. Then, a mysterious masked man aided the stagehand, as only Henry and Atlas looked on. This unexplained appearance lasted mere moments, as Helms was ready to continue his backstage interview with the flabbergasted Henry and Atlas. Who was this masked man and how will he impact ECW?
The Undertaker is said to be working out very hard in preparation for his return. WWE hopes to have him back in time for a meaningful match at Summerslam.
Takers surgery was a success but he is said to still be banged up. He is pushing hard to get back and is said to be very dedicated to still performing at a high level for WWE.
He feels that the company needs him and he wants to get back and help WWE and more specifically help the Smackdown brand. Taker has his mind set on returning sooner than later, despite sources within WWE feeling that at this point in his career he should be more cautious and make sure he is completely healthy before returning.
As we reported last week, many of the wrestlers in WWE are under the impression that Rey Mysterio has given his notice. A friend of Mysterio is also under the same impression. The official word from WWE is that, while that there have been financial issues, he has not given his notice. It could be a situation where Mysterio has told people he has given notice, or intends to, but at this point has not. If Mysterio were to walk away from WWE, he would have options in Mexico.
Apparently, Mysterio is not alone in voicing concerns over pay. It's likely that WWE giving away a $235,000 live gate this week did not help matters.
Last night before RAW, WWE taped a triple threat match for Thursday's edition of WWE Superstars between Kofi Kingston, MVP and Matt Hardy. According to the report, Hardy suffered a torn abdominal muscle during the match and is scheduled for surgery later this week. No word yet on how long he'll be out.

Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio & The Great Khali def. Edge, Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler Cody Rhodes def. Unified WWE Tag Team Champion Primo WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Triple H in a Last Man Standing Match (draw) Mickie James & The Bella Twins def. Divas Champion Maryse, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes Big Show def. John Cena
GREEN BAY, Wisc. - After his Last Man Standing Match against Triple H ended in a draw, WWE Champion Randy Orton may have breathed a sigh of relief. That is, until Mr. McMahon knocked the wind out of him. Having bought back Raw from Donald Trump just moments earlier, The Chairman informed The Viper that he must face The Game this Sunday at The Bash in a Three Stages of Hell Match, which includes a regular match, a Falls Count Anywhere Match and, if necessary, a Stretcher Match. As Orton wheeled his luggage to the arena parking garage after the show, Triple H attacked him, pummeling him to the ground, slamming the trunk of a car against his back and offering him a not-so-subtle warning. "This isn't over," The Game growled at his longtime foe. "You're going to Hell."
Big Show def. John Cena after interference by The Miz; Cena vs. Miz at The Bash! (PHOTOS | WATCH) For weeks, Big Show has been attacking John Cena. Two weeks ago, he disrupted Cena before he was able to battle The Miz, nearly snapping Cenas back with a devastating Cobra Clutch Backbreaker. Just when it seemed Cena would have his revenge, however, it was The Mizs turn to interrupt. Cenas smack-talking tormentor cost him the win over Big Show, but it may be Cena who gets the last laugh. The former WWE Champion will face the self-proclaimed "future world champion" this Sunday when the two meet in a match at The Bash.
Mickie James & The Bella Twins defeat Divas Champion Maryse, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes; Mickie pinned Maryse (PHOTOS | WATCH) Smart, sexy and powerful. The match pitting Mickie James & The Bella Twins against Divas Champion Maryse, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes showcased all of that and then some. And while each of these beautiful Divas had something to prove, it was rivals Mickie James and Maryse whose dislike swirled around the ring. When the fairy dust finally settled, Mickie emerged victorious over Mendes.
Mr. McMahon buys back Raw, fires Donald Trump; Mr. McMahon arranges a Three Stages of Hell Match for WWE Champion Randy Orton and Triple H (PHOTOS | WATCH) Mr. McMahon couldnt take it any longer. After his limo broke down and he found out that his office had been relocated to the men's bathroom, the Chairman finally made his opinion loud and clear. Though the WWE Universe seemed excited by Donald Trumps generosity, airing Raw commercial-free and refunding the cost of tickets to the show, The Chairman bristled as he watched potential revenue spiral down the drain. So frustrated was Mr. McMahon that he offered to buy back Raw at twice the price! Never one to turn down a good deal, Trump accepted. Convinced that Trump had played him all along, Mr. McMahon told his moneyed menace something hed been wanting to tell him for years: Youre Fired!
Not one to be upstaged, the prideful Trump slapped the Chairman across the face and left him staggered in the ring. The humiliation did not sit well with Mr. McMahon, who immediately raced to find WWE Champion Randy Orton. Irate, the Chairman informed Orton that he must defend his title against Triple H Sunday at The Bash in a match not seen in WWE in nearly seven years: A Three Stages of Hell Match, featuring a straight-forward match, a Falls Count Anywhere Match and, if necessary, a Stretcher Match.
WWE Champion Randy Orton battles Triple H to a draw in a Last Man Standing Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) The animosity was palpable when Triple H confronted WWE Champion Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match just six days before the two face off at The Bash. So thick hung the mutual disdain that neither man was willing to give an inch against his nemesis. In fact, when the referee counted to 10, both Orton and Triple H were so damaged that neither was able to answer the count, resulting in a draw and Orton retaining the title. After the match was called, however, The Game, despite an injured knee, was still hungry to punish Orton and took a final shot at him before referees pulled him away.
Cody Rhodes def. Unified WWE Tag Team Champion Primo (PHOTOS) In the run up to their confrontation at The Bash, Cody Rhodes battled Primo, one half of the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, and came away from the match with the win and a heavy dose of momentum. While Rhodes Legacy cohort Ted DiBiase and Primos older brother Carlos watched intently, Cody managed to narrowly escape with a victory over the athletic Islander after getting away with pulling his tights. When the two tag teams vie for the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles this Sunday at The Bash, will the Unified Champions be able to fend off the challenge of Legacy or has the sun set on the reign of Primo & Carlito?
Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio & The Great Khali def. Edge, Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler; Hardy pinned Ziggler; Trump fires Santina (PHOTOS | WATCH) As World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk looked on from the announce table, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio & The Great Khali teamed up to face down Edge, Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler. Perhaps sending a message to Punk, his opponent at The Bash, The Charismatic Enigma pinned Ziggler himself to secure the win for his team. As Hardy celebrated in the ring after the match, Punk climbed in and raised his Bash opponents hand in victory. Undoubtedly recalling how Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against him at Extreme Rules after a grueling World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match against Edge, Hardy jerked his hand away, his mind looking forward to this Sunday. Meanwhile, Raw owner Donald Trump made his own mark, firing Santino Marella's twin sister Santina. Goodbye, Santina, we hardly knew you.
John Cena vs. Big Show tonight; Cena confronts The Miz, announces they will battle at The Bash! (WATCH) After recounting how Big Show has attacked him and interfered in his matches recently, John Cena told the audience that he will battle The Worlds Largest Athlete later in the evening, hopefully, for the very last time. Cena then addressed the Superstar whos been mocking him for weeks, The Miz. After exchanging words with Miz, Cena announced that the two will face each other at The Bash. But the former reality show star took a cheap shot at Cena and managed to narrowly escape.
Donald Trump announces ticket refund for fans (PHOTOS | WATCH | OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT) Forget the mysterious, inexplicable hair. As the new owner of Raw, Donald Trump has never looked better. After all, the billionaire businessman not only made history by broadcasting this weeks Raw commercial-free, he continued to show the love to the WWE Universe during a press conference and at the top of the program. Trump implored the capacity crowd at the Resch Center to hold onto their ticket stubs he would be giving them a full refund to show them his appreciation!
