-- Porn star Trina Michaels might be getting a TNA contract following the praise of Mick Foley and Jeremy Borash. Michaels has been trying to break in to the business for a year or so now and got some praise recently for some promos she did on YouTube, which even WWE was inspired by. (Video below)
With the recent kid-friendly initiative she could likely never go to WWE, but TNA seems interested after name dropping her on iMPACT.
At the Grand Rapids TNA live show, Kurt Angle squashed the WWE return rumors. Angle announced that he loves TNA, wants to extend his contract with the company and that he will never return to the WWE again. He said he never wants to work for Vince McMahon again, despite his recent radio appearance where he said he could return to WWE if he wanted to, since his TNA contract is about to expire and he did not burn any bridges in WWE when he left.
Jeff Hardy def. Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho (Count-out) Dolph Ziggler def. The Great Khali (Disqualification) Melina def. Alicia Fox Edge def. John Morrison R-Truth & Cryme Tyme def. Ricky Ortiz, Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk def. Rey Mysterio
ROANOKE, Va. A strange brew of trickery, retribution and pure squared-circle aggression consumed SmackDown, just nine days before The Bash unleashes itself upon the WWE Universe (Full coverage).
Jeff Hardy def. Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho (count-out) (VIDEO | PHOTOS) Prior to his match with Chris Jericho, The Charismatic No. 1 Contender was confronted by World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk about their World Championship Match at The Bash (Match preview). Punk voiced no regrets about cashing in his Money in the Bank opportunity at Extreme Rules, nor with his actions in Monday Night Raws Triple Threat Match. An intense Hardy expressed his determination to take his title back at the upcoming pay-per-view. (PHOTOS)
Hardys attention then turned to Jericho. In the culmination of their heated battle, as the nine-time Intercontinental Champion was throwing Hardy back into the ring, Rey Mysterio suddenly emerged from a seat in the crowd. He attacked Jericho, driving the stunned Superstar into the ring post before returning to his seat next to two other identically dressed fans. This surprise onslaught led directly to a Hardy victory when Jericho couldnt answer the 10-count. After the bell, The Charismatic Enigma put the exclamation point on the win, hitting the disoriented Jericho with the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb combination.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk def. Rey Mysterio (VIDEO | PHOTOS) Later, Mysterio accepted the challenge from the reemerging Jericho to put his sacred mask on the line against Jerichos gold at The Bash (Match preview) (PHOTOS). The nine-time Intercontinental Champion then joined Hall of Famer Jim Ross & Todd Grisham at the broadcast table. But in a critical moment of Mysterios match with Punk, Jericho evened the score for his masked adversarys earlier attack, slamming The Master of the 619 into the steel ring post. Though Mysterio answered his 10-count, the World Champion quickly finished him off with the GTS.
After the bell, an angry Jeff Hardy charged into the ring to dispute the decision. He was clearly still seething after being stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules. But the confrontation only ended in a staredown, with Punk still walking off with the victory over Mysterio. At The Bash, things will finally come to a head when Punk and Hardy collide in a rematch. (Match preview)
Edge def. John Morrison (VIDEO | PHOTOS) The Friday Night Delight may have matched The Master Manipulator in a war of words before the bell, but The Rated-R Superstar ultimately reigned supreme, hitting the spear in the climax of their tremendously hard-fought battle. Morrison heroically fought through injured ribs, but couldnt stop the former World Champion at the finish line.
Dolph Ziggler def. The Great Khali (disqualification) (PHOTOS) While the referee was distracted, the incomparable Ziggler threw a chair toward The Great Khali before falling to the canvas as if injured. When the referee turned around, The Punjabi Playboy was holding the steel and was therefore disqualified. Once again, Ziggler appears to have outsmarted Khali, giving himself another victory over his irate adversary.
Melina def. Alicia Fox (VIDEO | PHOTOS) Melina reigned supreme over A-Fox, flipping herself downward off Alicias back and using her momentum to whip Alicia over for the pinfall. Michelle then attacked, hurling the Womens Champion from the ring before viciously kneeing her into the broadcasters table. The No. 1 contender promised to humiliate Melina at The Bash (Match preview) and become the first Diva to hold both the Divas and Womens Championships.
R-Truth & Cryme Tyme def. Ricky Ortiz, Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin (PHOTOS) Amidst mass confusion both in and outside the ring in a six-man brawl, R-Truth caught Benjamin with a powerful kick as The Gold Standard was leaping from the top rope. Truth followed up with the hurricane-like Corkscrew Elbow to prove triumphant.
Shortly after the announcement of her release on the official WWE website, Candice Michelle posted a blog on the WWE Universe site thanking company executives, current and past Divas, and male wrestlers for contributing to her five-year run in World Wrestling Entertainment. The blog was subsequently taken down as her account was disabled.

Candice Michelle had been undergoing therapy to heal her injured ankle, and according to her Twitter posts was under the impression she would return sometime this month. Reports had leaked several months ago that WWE wanted to use Candice to put over some younger divas while they could, and then release her due to her injury-prone reputation. Doctors cleared her to return this month, but she was greeted with a release by WWE which was announced just moments after Snuka's.
Candices reaction to her firing via Twitter: I'm Free to Grow!

Full details regarding Umaga's release from WWE Posted by Chris Kaufman on 06/19/2009 at 02:38 PM
Credit: F4WOnline.com
Last week, World Wrestling Entertainment announced that Edward Fatu (a/k/a Umaga) was released because he refused to Enter a drug rehabilitation facility after violating the company's Wellness Program a second time. This should explain why he was telling people, including his family, why he quit, since it was his decision to refuse to attend the rehab that was ordered. However, Fatu wasn't exactly telling the entire story regarding his dismissal from the company as he claimed his new deal (with his old deal expiring this January) was being negotiated and he was unhappy with the terms. Apparently, his unhappiness concerning the new terms of his contract made him quit six months early, if he is to be believed.
WWE's announcement came one day after the company released a statement to The Sun that all performers who violate the company's Wellness Program are reported publicly. The statement was apparently in response to a certain online report questioning whether the company was still adhering to the policy as some developmental wrestlers had reportedly been released as a result of Wellness Policy violations the week prior, but were never publicly announced.
There is some skepticism regarding the situation because the fact remains that WWE had not previously announced a drug test failure concerning Fatu, which should indicate that the company's public policy of doing so was not being completely adhered to.
WWE officials released a statement to The Sun explaining the discrepancy by saying the delay in announcing his Wellness Policy violation was "due to the unusual nature of Umaga's termination."
Fatu had one strike stemming from being named in the Signature Pharmacy scandal in August 2007, resulting in a 30-day suspension. Through a government raid, WWE officials learned he had received packages of somatropin, a growth hormone, between July and December 2006. His second strike would have been for a different drug as the company doesn't send people to rehab for growth hormone (which can't be tested for anyway) nor steroids.
There is a feeling in the locker room that management was out to get Fatu, with the idea they drug tested him when they knew there was a good chance of catching him. Also, there was some sympathy for him among talent because he was constantly informed of ideas enabling him to shine and then those decisions would change, leaving him with nothing.
As reported a few weeks ago, Sheik Abdul Bashir's contract with TNA Wrestling expires in a few weeks. There is some interest on the part of WWE in the former Daivari.
In late 2007, Daivari requested his release from the company, which was granted on October 16, 2007.

Chavo Guerrero def. Santino Marella Zack Ryder def. local competitor Eve def. Layla w/ Special Guest Referee Maria Christian, Carlito & Primo def. Jack Swagger & The Hart Dynasty
This week WWE Superstars on WGN America was packed to the brim with 13 different Superstars and Divas in action. With four hard-hitting matches, including a main event pitting the team of Christian and Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo against Jack Swagger and The Hart Dynasty, Thursday night was certainly a healthy dose of entertainment for everyone in the WWE Universe.
Dont know where to catch WWE Superstars? Find WGN America in your area. Can't see WWE Superstars on WGN America in your area? Stay with WWE.com for full results, photos and video clips of all the action.
Chavo Guerrero def. Santino Marella (PHOTOS | WATCH) With Santino Marella and his twin sister Santina wreaking havoc on Chavo Guerrero and his aunt in recent weeks, when these two locked up on WWE Superstars, there was no love-loss between the two. The self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior controlled much of the match early on, until Santino reversed the third of the Three Amigos. The Italian Superstar then looked to hit high-risk maneuver, but was met the underside of Chavos boot, leaving him prone to the cover and pinfall by Guerrero. Despite Santino & Santina having their fun at the expense of the Guerrero family, it seems as though Chavo may have gotten the last laugh.
Zack Ryder def. local competitor (PHOTOS) After last weeks loss to Evan Bourne, Zack Ryder didnt have much to Wooo, wooo, wooo! about, but this week, the ECW Superstar redeemed himself with an impressive win. His obnoxious attitude in abundance, the Long Island native dominated his match, and when it seemed like his opponent was all but done for, Ryder didnt immediately go for the pin. Instead, the cocky Superstar lifted his competitor up hit him with the Zack Attack -- viciously driving the unlucky local athlete into his knee. As abrasive as he may be, Ryder showed that he is truly an in-ring warrior and has a bright future for himself in WWE.
Eve def. Layla w/ Special Guest Referee Maria (PHOTOS | WATCH) In exciting one-on-one Divas action with Special Guest Referee Maria, Eve once again topped Layla Thursday night. Though both Divas on the SmackDown roster and are certainly sexy, smart and powerful, the two beauties have been at each others throats for several weeks. Layla has attacked Eve on numerous occasions after falling short to her in different competitions, including a dance-off and an arm wrestling match. Well, the result of the match tonight may have been no different with the 2007 Diva Search winner getting the pin after an impressive backhand spring moonsault onto Layla. Following the match, there was no brawl that ensued and instead, at the beckoning of Maria, the English Diva and Eve shook hands. Now the question is, is this rivalry officially water under the bridge?
Christian, Carlito & Primo def. Jack Swagger & The Hart Dynasty (PHOTOS | WATCH) The main event on WWE Superstars saw three of ECWs most talented young Superstars fall just short in a battle against former ECW Champion Christian & the Unified Tag Team Champions. Much of the match saw Swagger, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith controlling Primo, stop one-half of the Tag Champions from making a tag. Showing themselves to be a truly cohesive unit, Swagger worked well with The Hart Dynasty, but unfortunately, one misstep by Kidd saw the tides change. Primo tagged-in his brother Carlito, and the cool Superstar quickly gained control of the match. Both Swagger and Smith attempted to sway the momentum back in their favor, but after some help from Christian & Primo clearing the ring, Carlito used the Backstabber for the win. As The Hart Dynasty and The All-American American Jack Swagger headed to the back, they knew they had let this victory slip through their fingers.
There has been a lot of talk within TNA about Sting and his retirement. Retirement talks have come about every year since he returned to wrestling. Bound for Glory is the targeted area where they may do his retirement.
Sting is 50 now and over the last several years, he says it will be his last year. The internal belief is that he will Dixie Carter will talk Sting in to signing another year contract before his current contract expires.
Sting has been given a tremendous amount of leeway in terms of his schedule. He doesnt work house shows and doesnt work foreign tours. Also, the new TNA schedule, recording four shows in a three day period gives him more time to spend with his family. He is also given time off once a year to do an angle. It is believed that Sting is making around $500,000 a year and is guaranteed a spot at the top of the roster.
Sting could sign another year deal and contemplate retirement in 2010. Although, things may change over the course of the next several months.
We have also heard that the word backstage is that Sting is telling people he wants his retirement match to be against an up-and-coming star who can gain something from the match, as opposed to an established name like Kurt Angle. One name that keeps coming up is Matt Morgan, but it's far too early to tell who the opponent will be yet.
David Hart Smith def. Christian Mark Henry def. Evan Bourne Jack Swagger def. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer
ROANOKE, Va. Finlay has returned to the Land of the Extreme and he is ready for a fight. With his shillelagh firmly in hand, The Man Who Loves to Fight is living by a new mantra these days: An eye for an eye.
David Hart Smith def. Christian (PHOTOS | WATCH) A retribution-seeking Christian was ready to face David Hart Smith on ECW after his tag teammate, Jack Swagger, turned on him last week causing a loss to The Hart Dynasty. But Captain Charisma was once again defeated by his pink and black-clad foes, this time after Natalya distracted the referee while Tyson Kidd attacked Christian from the ring apron, allowing Hart Smith to get the pin.
After the match, The Dynasty continued their attack on Christian, but they quickly fled the ring when a shillelagh-wielding Finlay charged in. As The Dynasty stared down Finlay, The Fighting Irishman lived up to his moniker and shockingly smashed his shillelagh across Christians head, leaving him face down in the ring. Moments later, Finlay who was out of action for several weeks after sustaining an eye injury while breaking up a fight between Christian and ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer explained to Gregory Helms: Where I come from theres a little saying an eye for an eye, and thats what itll be.
Jack Swagger def. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer (PHOTOS | WATCH) The All-American American earned a future chance at Tommy Dreamers ECW Title on Tuesday night with a defeat over the ECW Original. However, Swaggers celebration was cut short when Finlay appeared again, this time attacking Dreamer with his shillelagh. Looking to quickly settle his score with Finlay, Christian also ran in to attack the Fighting Irishman. A melee ensued when Swagger became involved, tossing Christian out of the ring. Finally, Finlay smashed his shillelagh over Swaggers head, standing tall above him, Christian and ECW Champion Dreamer. How will Finlays return to the Land of the Extreme affect his fellow ECW Superstars?
Mark Henry def. Evan Bourne (PHOTOS) The rivalry between Evan Air Bourne and The Worlds Strongest Man intensified on this weeks ECW. After Bourne defeated Henrys associate, WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, last week, Henry decided hed try to once again take matters into his own giant hands and finally beat the rising Superstar. At almost a half foot taller and 200 pounds heavier, Henry clearly had the advantage over the high-flyer, and while it took weeks to finally stop Bournes momentum, Henry decimated his competition with a Worlds Strongest Slam. After the match, Henry continued his assault, carrying Bournes limp body around the ring, then delivering another devastating Worlds Strongest Slam on the already battered Bourne. Is this the end of the rivalry between Bourne and Henry?

Details on the RAW "three-for-all" rating Posted by Chris Kaufman on 06/17/2009 at 10:55 AM
The ratings are in for this week's special "Three-for-All" RAW. According to data compiled by Neilson Media Research, the three-hour June 15th edition of WWE RAW drew a 3.7 cable rating.
If you remove the first "bonus" hour, RAW's typical timeslot (the final 2 hours) did a very strong 3.93 rating.
I have been a fan of wrestling for a long time. I've gone to ever wwe live event within a 100 mile radius of charlotte for the last 5 years. Before that I traveled to the nearest location wherever Raw or smackdown was being held. I can honestly say tonights RAW was the most fun I've had in a long time. I've been a fan since I was little. I'm now 30+ and I still turn into a kid when I go to live events. I saw something tonight in charlotte that made me more of a fan of Triple H than I ever was before.
It had nothing to do with wrestling or politics or simply getting over with the fans. It was pure class. After the matches HHH threw a T-shirt into the stands. As usual a crowd scambled to get the T-shirt. Of course, someone managed to get it. However, there was a small kid around 10-12 that got caught up in the melee. The kid was knocked down and started crying and laying on the floor. The entire time this was happening HHH didn't take his eyes off the situation. He immediately went straight threw the crowd to the little boy, picked him up and took him back into the ring.
He then gave the boy a pep talk and motioned him to pose with him around the ring. They went around the ring posing. The boy was so happy you would have thought it was Christmas. Any pain he may have felt or no matter how upset he may have been, this definitely made up for it. HHH then took the boy back, circled around the ring and then came back to the boy to make sure he was OK. This to me was a class act and made me a fan of the person along with being a fan of the wrestler. Props to HHH! Just my 2 cents.
