Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com is reporting that Bobby Lashley has NOT yet signed a contract with TNA Wrestling.
According to Meltzer, Lashley appeared at TNA Lockdown on Sunday night as a way of getting both sides acquainted with each other. If Lashley ends up signing with TNA, his goal would be to do TNA on a limited schedule and continue with his MMA career at the same time. Since TNA only tapes TV a few times a month, Lashley would probably be able to keep doing MMA while making his TNA appearances.
Three TNA stars in Matt Morgan, Awesome Kong and Taylor Wilde were involved in an automobile accident on Friday night near the TNA hotel in Philadelphia, reports The Sun. Their SUV was rear-ended by a vehicle traveling at 40-50 MPH during a left turn. Morgan and Kong reportedly hit their heads on the windshield during the collision and were later checked out by medical personnel. All three individuals were okay enough to appear at last night's Lockdown pay-per-view.
- Despite his loss last night, Sting's TNA World Heavyweight Championship reign was the longest reigning run for any champion since TNA launched their own "World title" in May of 2007. This was also the longest singles title reign in his illustrious career.
- On the Lockdown preshow, Eric Young defeated Danny Bonaduce. After the bout, Bonaduce attacked Young, but "The War Machine" Rhino came to his aid and hit the GORE on Bonaduce!
- Suicide retained the X Division Championship in the Xscape Match by beating Consequences Creed, Black Machismo, Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi
- ODB won the Queen Of The Cage Match, beating Madison Rayne, Sojo Bolt and Daffney
- The Motor City Machinguns successfully defended the New Japan Jr. Tag Team Championship against the Latin American Xchange and No Limit
- "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan defeated Abyss in the Doomsday Chamber Of Blood match, which also saw the TNA debut of "Dr. Stevie" Stevie Richards! Richards refused to let Abyss use weapons during the bout, leading to Morgan getting the win!
- Angelina Love became the new Knockout Women's Champion by beating Awesome Kong and Taylor Wilde when she pinned Wilde following a big boot from Kong, who was trapped in the corner after the Beautiful People tied her braids to the cage.
- Team 3D (in their big return to Philly!) defeated Beer Money, Inc in the Philly Street Fight to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions, their 22nd Title Reign! Check out Team 3D's new limited commemorative shirt at ShopTNA.com celebrating the win!
- Team Jarrett defeated Team Angle in the Lethal Lockdown Match, which at one point saw AJ Styles jump down through the roof of the cage in a daredevil dive onto the other participants below! Samoa Joe also questioned Jeff Jarrett's allegiance during the bout. However, Jarrett answered when he had both Styles and Booker T lined up for a guitar shot - and he smashed Booker, allowing AJ to get the pin and the win for his team.
- After the match, the lights in the arena went out and a video played introducing Bobby Lashley to TNA! Lashley came out and Kurt Angle was shown laughing in the ring! Is there some kind of connection between Lashley and Angle?
- Mick Foley became the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion by defeating "The Icon" Sting in the bloody and chaotic main event. Foley tried to use his barbed-wire bat at one point, but Sting avoided it. In the end, both Foley and Sting raced to climb over the top of the cage to escape, with Foley hitting the canvas first to win the championship!
In an interview with The Times & Transcript's Eric Lewis in Canada, Trish Stratus had this to say about the WWE Women's Division:
"It is disappointing. I think what it is, they have too many women. And I think they can't even see who's who because there's so many of them. I think they need someone maybe that can focus on the women."
Bobby Lashley arrived backstage at TNA Lockdown on Sunday night at about 10:00 PM Eastern, just moments before his debut with the company. The former ECW World Champions debut was kept a big secret by everyone in TNA, with his late arrival to the building being the ultimate way to prevent spoilers from leaking to the net. Lashley appeared at the top of the entrance ramp at the conclusion of the Lethal Lockdown match while everyone in the ring looked on with shock, except M.E.M. front man Kurt Angle who was smiling.
- As far as the other World Champion TNA promised, they did say they would begin to unlock the identity of that person at tonights show. It looks like they were indeed teasing Taz. Before Samoa Joe came out to the Lockdown match, he was seen backstage speaking to someone getting what Mike Tenay called, last minute instructions for the match. Joe hit the ring and nailed a series of various suplexes - most of them being the signature suplexes of former ECW World Champion Taz.
Sebastian Slater defeats Justin Angel Rosa Mendez defeats Alicia Fox Alex Riley w/Beverly defeats Johnny Prime Shaemus O'Shaunessy defeats Joseph Canterbury Tag team Champions Johnny Curtis and Tyler Reks defeats Trent Baretta and Caylen Croft (still tag team champion)
According to Christopher Kreig of daily-wrestling.de, TNA flyers were placed on every seat at this weekend's WWE live event in Austria. You can imagine that WWE is not happy about this.
Sebastian Slater defeats Justin Angel Drew Mcintire defeats Chris Logan Tag team Champions Johnny Curtis and Tyler Reks defeats Trent Baretta and Caylen Croft (still tag team champion) Yoshitatsu defeats Lennox Mcenroe Joe Henning defeats FCW Champion Eric Escobar (New Champion)
With all of what has been reported about TNA signing two former champions & with the very good likelihood those talents may debut at Lockdown this Sunday night, the names begin to be bantered about....Taz, Victoria...what about Chuck Palumbo? Mosh & Blade asked Chuck that on a scale of 1-10, what are the chances of him heading to TNA before the end this year. "I say the chances are very good...they are very good. I've been talking, but I'm in no rush. If we do it, we gotta' do it right."
Well, after leaving WWE recently, I would like to make my first public comments here on the page. I would like to thank the Pro Wrestling fan base for the support through all my years with ECW & WWE! I especially want to thank all of you on this Facebook fan page from all over the world! I try to read most of your comments and I am truly flattered on how many of you supported what I did in the real ECW and my broadcasting accomplishments in WWE. Lets face it, after my debut at MSG vs the great Kurt Angle their wasn't much for me to "hang my hat on" as a wrestler during my tenure wrestling for WWE.
Now, I want to clear up some "true & false" for all of you....
TRUE -My contract expired the end of March and I had given my notice several weeks prior -I ask WWE for my release to pursue other interest -I offered to call Wrestlemania while I was not contractually obligated....and offered to call the show for free to the company. -I have fulfilled EVERY obligation to the WWE, and pride myself on leaving the proper/professional way. -On my way out, from Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn & Stephanie ALL treated me great...which was cool. -I APPRECIATE all of the offers for appearances but right now I'm just doing very few appearances (if any). I'm gonna chill out and watch my kid hit baseballs. -I am done wrestling. At 41 years old, several neck and shoulder issues...not happening. I would be a former shell of myself. -I too have hated the extra "Z"
FALSE -Burnout (If anything, I'm more inspired & motivated now than ever)
Hopefully that clears up some things people were saying in regards to my situation. Also, I have had the opportunity of becoming friends with so many talented & awesome people within the WWE while working there for nearly 10 years and will miss many of them! I would like to thank the writers, road & studio crew and all the talent...especially guys I have a closer friendship with.
I especially want thank three of the main play by play guys I've work with.
Joey Styles -A dear friend whom I've been goombas with for 15 years and will stay friends with! I felt Joey never had a chance to truly be "Joey Styles" in WWE as an announce talent...that's a shame. But the announce style is completely different than anything Joey ever really did in the business....tough to adapt.
Jim Ross -The best of the best! True Hall of Famer and a man I respect and appreciate. I cannot thank him enough for all he has taught me as an announcer...as of recent JR & I were the Smack announce team and were doing a strong job in my view....we have shared some good times on many road trips as of recent...BOOMER SOONER!! And I'm a Nebraska Husker fan (lol)
Micheal Cole -One of my best friends...a guy that truly gave me the confidence to excel as a color commentator years ago in WWE...Cole taught me how to get over the talent, the storylines and get over the brand! He was the only one that had the balls to flat out say to me "its not about you anymore"...I respect that. Amazing work ethic, always would try to find a way for me to get over on him...zero ego & underrated! I been hearing that Cole has been getting bashed by some on-line fans lately- check this out, if you work at McDonald's and your boss wants you to cook BicMac's...you than go and cook BIG MACS! Anyway, I look forward to working with Cole in the future in some capacity be it TV or Radio.
I want thank World Wrestling Entertainment and the McMahon Family for all the years and all the opportunities...they allowed me a great ride which I truly appreciate.
In closing, I've been in the Pro Wrestling business for 23 years and I don't plan on disappearing anytime soon.
I plan to make an impact real soon in this, the ultimate in businesses and keep it's honor....lol....sorry for crossing the line with my sophomoric humor! Survive if I let you.
To update you on the earlier Undertaker retirement story, the name of the WWE tour of Europe next April will be The Undertakers Rest In Peace Tour. One source says this wont be Takers goodbye and that its just a marketing vehicle that is using Takers catch phrase to sell the tour.
Towards the end of the WWE RAW live show last night in Dublin, Ireland, the lights went out and The Undertaker's bell went off. WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel then announced that WWE's tour of Europe next April in 2010 would be a part of The Undertaker's retirement.
It seems unusual that WWE would announce something as big as the retirement of one of their biggest stars at a live event but two different fan reports from the show say the same thing. If we hear anything else, we will definitely pass it on.

Big Show def. Jeff Hardy Gail Kim def. Divas Champion Maryse John Morrison def. R-Truth Undertaker def. Shelton Benjamin Dolph Ziggler def. United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter (non-title) Batista def. Ted DiBiase
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. With Backlash just nine days away, emotions ran high on the first edition of SmackDown since the 2009 WWE Draft. The Animal unleashed his rage on his Backlash opponent, Ted DiBiase, while WWE Champion Triple H vowed to do the same to Randy Orton this Monday on Raw.
Batista def. Ted DiBiase (PHOTOS | WATCH) Since making his surprise comeback on Raw, Batista has been full of pent up aggression. Tonight, it was his Backlash opponent, Ted DiBiase, who felt The Animals wrath. Batista dominated the first part of the match, delivering one punishing maneuver after another.
However, DiBiase was able to turn the tables and strike back, delivering targeted attacks to Batistas leg. But, The Animal regained momentum and dropped The Legacy member with a hard-hitting spear, followed up by a thunderous Batista Bomb for the win. In just nine days, they will meet again on the battle grounds at Backlash. (Preview)
Triple H reveals Raw match stipulations (PHOTOS | WATCH) With Randy Orton rehashing everything hes done to WWE Champion Triple H and his family, The Game revealed the stipulations to their one-on-one match this Monday on Raw no disqualifications and no count-outs. (Raw coverage | Backlash preview)
Big Show def. Jeff Hardy; Matt attacks Jeff (PHOTOS | WATCH) At 485 pounds, Big Show simply crushed the high-flying Jeff Hardy. During the match, Matt Hardy came down to ringside to witness the action. While Big Show was down on all fours, Jeff seized the opportunity, using Shows massive back as a springboard to launch himself over the ropes, toppling Matt.
In the end, Jeff was able to down his brother, but not The Worlds Largest Athlete, who stopped the Charismatic Enigma cold with a brutal right hand. After the match, Matt launched a vicious and ugly attack on his brother, hitting him with seven consecutive leg drops while he lay defenseless from Big Shows brutal assault.
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy announced New SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announced that Jeff Hardy will face his brother Matt Hardy in an I Quit Match at Backlash. (Preview)
Undertaker def. Shelton Benjamin (PHOTOS) Borrowing one from Undertakers arsenal, Shelton Benjamin attempted to deliver a Tombstone to The Deadman. The maneuver failed miserably, resulting in Benjamin being the recipient of the punishing maneuver at the hands of The Phenom. Coming off huge wins at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania and last nights debut of WWE Superstars, can anyone stop The Phenom?
Dolph Ziggler def. United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter (non-title) (PHOTOS) After being drafted to SmackDown, perhaps Dolph Ziggler felt he had to make an impression in the land of SmackDown. He did just that by defeating the United States Champion.
The View & MVP? In an interesting exchange in the locker room area, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long told MVP that Sherri Shepherd of the TV program The View had taken an interest in the champion. Holla, Holla, Holla! What does Teddy have in store for the former SmackDown Superstar who was drafted to Raw?
John Morrison def. R-Truth (PHOTOS) After The Miz assaulted John Morrison on Raw, its a safe bet that their tag team days are behind them. Looking to make an impression on Friday nights, The Tuesday Night Delight did not disappoint when he stopped R-Truths valiant attempts at a win with a Moonlight Drive.
Gail Kim def. Divas Champion Maryse (non-title) (PHOTOS | WATCH) In a bout featuring two of WWEs most athletic Divas, Gail Kim kept her winning ways intact by dazing Maryse with some hard-hitting counters for the pinfall.
Khali Kiss Cam (PHOTOS | WATCH) The Great Khali was up to his romantic ways on another edition of the Khali Kiss Cam. The Punjabi Playboy planted a wet one on a lovely member of the WWE Universe. The next recipient of his affection? None other than Miss WrestleMania Santina Marella next week on SmackDown. This ought to be good!
As reported last week, Dolph Ziggler suffered an apparent collarbone injury in a match with Sim Snuka at the WrestleMania Axxess event mere hours before WrestleMania. It wasn't his only injury coming out of the match as he was busted open as well, resulting in a noticeable scar above his lip. A battered-looking Ziggler was at the annual post-WrestleMania party held later that day. Ziggler is apparently fine as he was able to compete in a match the very next day. He also took part in a match this past Tuesday at the SmackDown taping.
Nash Calls AJ Styles The Best Athlete In Pro Wrestling
Here are some highlights from TNA star Kevin Nashs appearance on Ring Posts Live with Kevin Eck and Nestor Aparicio Wednesday afternoon on WNST 1570 AM from Baltimore. He promoted this Sundays TNA Lockdown 2009 PPV.
On the next generation of TNA stars: "I think Robert Roode is a really, really talented guy. I think he's a natural babyface, although he's working heel right now. He's just solid. He's a combination of Rick Rude and Curt Hennig. He's a real good technical wrestler and everything he does is solid. Motor City Machine Guns -- I watched them do 25 minutes in the Tokyo Dome in January and was just amazed at how athletic and what an incredible pace that those two guys go. You got 'Black Machismo' Jay Lethal, a really fiery young babyface, a lot of athleticism. There's Samoa Joe. You have A.J. [Styles]. I don't think there's really a better athlete in the business right now than A.J. Some of the things he can do reminds me of Shawn [Michaels] in his peak years, as far as athleticism."
On the Main Event Mafia clicking with viewers: "Whether it's The Horsemen, the nWo, the Main Event Mafia or DeGeneration X, it always seems like a faction, especially a heel faction, seems to work. The problems the babyfaces always have is that they're always fighting amongst themselves, and you get four or five guys that have a common goal to be the deterrent to them, I think storyline-wise it's easy for a wrestling fan to go, 'OK, that doesn't insult my intelligence. Five guys beating two makes sense.' "
On TNA using veterans on top while also trying to build new stars: "A couple weeks ago, we did a thing where The Motor City Machine Guns came down and interacted with The Main Event Mafia, and I thought [Alex] Shelley came in and was brilliant on the mic. I just think that the more that we interact with them [the better]. I think the biggest problem booking-wise is that the young guys are so athletically gifted and -- I'll just use me as an example -- they have to work around me. I'm not ashamed to say it. I'll be 50 in July. You know, I'd love to pass the torch, to be that first generation of guys that makes stars. And we've got some guys that are ready."
On the staph infection in his elbow: "It looked like a gunshot wound even a month ago. It just looked the thing was never going to heal. We have a young surgeon that helps us at TNA, and about a month ago at TV he said, 'I can close that.' A week ago Thursday he surgically went in and put the thing back together. I won't be a hundred percent, but I'm definitely wrestling on Sunday."
