Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo & Evan Bourne def. John Morrison, The Miz, & Tyson Kidd (Six-Man Tag Match)
Mark Henry eliminated from Elimination Chase to Backlash Fatal Four Way Match involving Finlay, Christian and Tommy Dreamer.

AUSTIN, Texas - Just two days after the electrifying 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, the Land of the Extreme shook things up with a change in leadership and the promise of a championship match at Backlash.

Theodore Long new SmackDown General Manager; Tiffany new interim General Manager of ECW; Elimination Chase Announced (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Hot on the heels of Vickie Guerrero’s announcement that she would become the permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw, ECW General Manager Theodore Long revealed that he will once again take the reigns as SmackDown General Manager. Long announced that his assistant, Tiffany, would become the new interim General Manager of ECW.

When ECW Champion Jack Swagger interrupted, Tiffany informed him that Christian, Tommy Dreamer, Finlay and Mark Henry would compete in an Elimination Chase over the next few weeks to see who will face The “All-American American” at Backlash. (Match preview)

Mark Henry eliminated from the Elimination Chase to Backlash in a Fatal Four Way Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In the culmination of an action-packed Fatal Four Way Match, Finlay once again employed the trusted help of his shillelagh to defeat Henry, walloping The World’s Strongest Man out of the Elimination Chase as he was attempting The World’s Strongest Slam on Tommy Dreamer. As a result, The Belfast Brawler will face Christian and Dreamer in a Triple Threat Match next week.

Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo & Evan Bourne def. John Morrison, The Miz, & Tyson Kidd (Six-Man Tag Match) (PHOTOS)
After Primo hit the Backstabber on Tyson Kidd, the high-flying Evan Bourne dropped his gravity-defying Shooting Star Press on the last graduate of the legendary Hart Dungeon. The exciting victory comes just two days after Carlito & Primo triumphed over Miz & Morrison to become the first Unified WWE Tag Team Champions on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Mr. Kennedy's Injury Could Be Permanent

Mr. Kennedy's Injury Could Be Permanent

Mr. Kennedy revealed in a recent interview with the Miami Herald that his shoulder is not healing and it could become a permanent injury he has to deal with for the remainder of his wrestling career.

"I'm going to find out from Dr. Andrews if that's going to be a permanent thing, and I'll have to deal with it, or if there's something more that we can do,” said Kennedy. ''I don't want to do that. I'd rather be 100 percent, but you got to do what you got to do in this business because the bottom line is this business is going to keep rolling with or without me. I'd rather be a part of it and contribute. I think I have a lot to contribute because there are a lot of things that I have yet to accomplish that nobody really has seen out of me. I just want to get back in there and get after it -- win some championships, main event at WrestleMania. I say it year after year after year. If it takes me 10 years to do it, I'm going to do it."

Mr. McMahon vs. Randy Orton ended in a no contest
Miss WrestleMania Santina Marella def. Beth Phoenix
World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, & Ricky Steamboat def. Edge, Big Show, Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy & Kane
Women’s Champion Melina, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Layla & Jillian def. Divas Champion Maryse, Maria, Eve, Gail Kim & Natalya
WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo def. The Miz & John Morrison

HOUSTON – It was just one day after the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, and only a week before everything changes in the 2009 WWE Draft (PREVIEW), but the Superstars of WWE were already looking toward Backlash on Monday Night Raw. As the show received its new permanent General Manager, Vickie Guerrero, two matches were set for the upcoming pay-per-view. More shocking however, was the return of Batista, who after rushing to the aide of Mr. McMahon, WWE Champion Triple H & Shane McMahon, was awarded the WWE Chairman’s spot in their Six-Man Tag Team Match against Randy Orton & The Legacy.

Randy Orton began to brutalize Mr. McMahon but was interrupted by WWE Champion Triple H, Shane McMahon and the returning Batista, who will take Mr. McMahon’s place at Backlash (PHOTOS | WATCH)
In the night’s main event, Randy Orton attempted to prove his point about Mr. McMahon’s in-ring abilities. In the midst of putting a hurting on the WWE Chairman, he was interrupted by McMahon’s son, Shane, who attacked The Legend Killer. But Orton had help of his own waiting in the wings in the form of Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, who rushed to their leader’s aid, teaming up on Shane O’Mac. WWE Champion Triple H then emerged, but he too fell victim to the combined might of The Legacy.

As Orton and his cohorts pummeled The Game, they were shocked to find out there was more opposition that they hadn’t counted on: The returning Batista. The Animal stormed down the entrance ramp, evening the odds by chasing Orton & DiBiase from the ring and laying out Rhodes with a Batista Bomb. As the WWE Chairman recovered, he announced that Batista would be taking his place in the Six-Man Tag Team Match at Backlash. (PREVIEW)

Miss WrestleMania Santina Marella def. Beth Phoenix (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Raw was graced with an appearance of the newly honored Miss WrestleMania, Santino Marella’s twin sister, "Santina." In the midst of thanking the WWE Universe, she was interrupted by Beth Phoenix. The Glamazon was furious about Santina dumping her out of the 25-Diva Battle Royal and challenged her to a match. Santina went on to prove why she holds the title of Miss WrestleMania by pinning Beth for the win.

Vickie Guerrero announced that she is the new permanent General Manager of Raw and that John Cena will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Edge in a Last Man Standing Match at Backlash
    (WATCH)
Though she has been acting as both SmackDown General Manager and interim General Manager of Raw in recent weeks, Vickie Guerrero announced that WWE’s Board of Director’s had told her that she would have to choose one show to run. Promising to bring her own unique vision to the program, Guerrero revealed that she would be staying on Raw.

As her first act as the show’s permanent General Manager, she placed World Heavyweight Champion John Cena into a Last Man Standing Match against her husband Edge at Backlash with the title on the line (PREVIEW). The Raw GM also added a stipulation to the Six-Man Tag Team Match announced earlier in the night, placing the WWE Championship on the line. She clarified that if anyone on Triple H’s team wins, he will retain the title, but if Orton or The Legacy taste victory, then the WWE Title will go to The Legend Killer.

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, & Ricky Steamboat def. Edge, Big Show, Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy & Kane (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Many of the Superstars who just competed on The Grandest Stage of Them All took part in a WrestleMania All-Star Tag Team Match on Raw that featured new World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, new Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio and new Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk on the same powerful team. All that championship gold didn’t slow them down at all though, as The Master of the 619 hit Edge and Chris Jericho with a double 619 to pick up the win.

Women’s Champion Melina, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Layla & Jillian def. Divas Champion Maryse, Maria, Eve, Gail Kim, & Natalya (PHOTOS)
Just one day after they all competed in a massive 25-Diva Battle Royal, five Divas from Raw took on five of their counterparts from SmackDown in tag team action. The ladies of Raw successfully defended their home turf as Mickie James pinned Natalya for the win.

WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo def. The Miz & John Morrison in a Lumberjack Match
    (PHOTOS)
At the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania brothers Carlito & Primo made history by unifying the WWE and World Tag Team Titles with their defeat of The Miz & John Morrison in a Lumberjack Match. On Raw the following night, the “Dirt Sheet” duo had a chance to regain Tag Team gold in another Lumberjack Match against the brothers from Puerto Rico. Unfortunately for the self-proclaimed “chick magnet” & The Shaman of Sexy, they must return to ECW empty-handed after another defeat at the hands of the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions.

Mr. McMahon set a Six-Man Tag Team Match for Backlash and pitted himself against Randy Orton for Raw’s main event (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Randy Orton opened Raw, bitter over his loss to WWE Champion Triple H the night before at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. Before he could get further into his threats against The Game and the entire McMahon family however, he was interrupted by the WWE Chairman himself. Mr. McMahon told the venomous Superstar that he wouldn’t be getting a rematch, but that he would get to face Triple H again at Backlash, only in a Six-Man Tag Team Match, featuring Triple H, Mr. McMahon & Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton & The Legacy. The insolent Superstar then began to insult his employer for both hiding behind his family and being too old to compete on his own. Not one to stand down from a challenge, Mr. McMahon placed himself into the night’s main event against Orton.

The Undertaker was said to have kept to himself over WrestleMania weekend. Several sources are saying he stayed in his hotel room and iced his knees over and over. He's in rough shape these days but keeps on ticking. He'll be taking time off over the next year as will Shawn Michaels.

    Update on Smackdown’s announce team
Klik op de afbeelding om de link te volgen Update on Smackdown’s announce team
    - As of before Wrestlemania, there had been no decision made on Tazz’s replacement for the Smackdown announce team. One of the options is to pair Jerry Lawler or Matt Striker with Ross until a long-term plan is created. JBL is also another candidate if WWE decides to end his character as rumored. We should find something out his Tuesday night at the tapings.

    Dolph Ziggler geblesseerd

    Raw
    Superstar Suffers Injury This Afternoon

Dolph Ziggler suffered an apparent injury during his match this afternoon against Sim Snuka (making his first WWE appearance since the January 12, 2009 episode of Raw) at the WrestleMania Axxess event. The former Spirit Squad member suffered the injury during his match with the second generation wrestler, resulting in the referee putting up the "X" signal. Ziggler was seen clutching his shoulder and it believed that he may have broken his collarbone. Here is more on the story, courtesy of his official website, www.NickNemeth.net:

Day Three (Day of WrestleMania): Dolph Ziggler competed in another singles match, this time against Snuka. While Ziggler may have picked up the victory, it wasn't without an unfortunate circumstance. After the match, Ziggler was escorted towards the back while being looked at by WWE Agents. Ziggler was said to be in excruciating pain, to the point of tears, as he clutched his right shoulder. When asked by fans what had happened, Snuka replied by saying he believes Ziggler may have broken his collarbone during the match.

    - In an update on Candice Michelle, she was telling those who asked at the WrestleMania Axxess session on the Friday that she would not be working the Miss WrestleMania 25 Diva Battle Royal due to her injured ankle. She was seen in a boot at the event and didn't stand up much to pose with fans.

Fan interaction notes: HHH said to be a "prick"

Fan interaction notes: HHH said to be a "prick"

A fan sent in the following Wrestlemania weekend report to PWTorch.com:

-Triple H is a prick, as always. He always appears to be sneering down towards the fans. He will never stop for pictures or autographs. He and Steph were at a Starbucks counter ordering a coffee and just standing there. My friend walked up to him by himself and asked for a picture and H said that he was too busy, even though it would have taken about two seconds and he was waiting there anyway. He always appears to be miserable and generally irritated by the fans. Although The Game is not the most fan-friendly star, in many ways I don’t blame him. Many of these fans are just bizarre and live down to the stereotype of socially deviant weirdo wrestling fan. Just bizarre.

HBK says that Wrestlemania 26 will be his last

    Credit: F4WOnline.com

Shawn Michaels appeared on radio station Q101 in Chicago yesterday and said he thinks WrestleMania 26 next year will be his last WrestleMania match.

HBK went on to mention how his WWE contract expires immediately after WrestleMania next year and that he wants to be around more for his children and family.

Michaels concluded by saying he feels he'll return to wrestling again at some point, possibly when his kids are teenagers and don't want to be around him all the time as much anymore.

TNA has set yet another viewership record. This week’s episode of iMPACT on Spike did a 1.3 cable rating, with 1.97 million viewers, the largest audience in history to witness a TNA show. This is nearly 100,000 more viewers than the previous high.

IMPACT also had it’s highest scores in the Males 18-49 demo (1.3) and Males 18-34 demo (also 1.3) yet for a 2 hour broadcast. TNA ranked #2 for the evening in both of those key demographics, only behind NBA basketball on TNT.

Here is a complete breakdown of the quarter-hour ratings:
    Q1: 1.26 (Jarrett/Steiner/AJ in-ring segment)
    Q2: 1.31 (8-man tag; Foley backstage)
    Q3: 1.25 (Team 3D, Foley backstage segments)
    Q4: 1.37 (Stevie/Abyss; Team 3D vs. M.E.M. Security)
    Q5: 1.45 (M.E.M./Sting/Foley in-ring segment)
Q6: 1.37 (Daffney returns; Wilde vs. Beautiful People)
Q7: 1.31 (Nash picks up Jenna Morasca; Steiner vs. AJ)
Q8: 1.31 (Steiner vs. AJ cont.; Sting vs. Samoa Joe)
