    Update van TAZZ

More details on Tazz leaving WWE

    Credit: PWInsider.com

The only update on Tazz leaving WWE right now is that he asked for the release several weeks ago according to sources. His reason was that he 'wanted some time off to recharge his batteries'.

There are conflicting reports on when his contract was set to expire. Some sources were under the impression it was today while others are saying within the new few weeks to a month. The word going around was that last night was his final date with the company although a return at some point is possible.

He was saying his goodbyes last night at the TV tapings.

What you didn't see on WWE RAW this week

    From Richard Colbert and PWInsider.com:

After RAW went off the air, the beat down continued. Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton then made their escape through the crowd, leaving Cody Rhodes behind. The McMahons and Triple H triple- teamed Cody, with Hunter laying him out with the sledgehammer. The McMahons and Triple H posed to end the show.

Is Trish Stratus going to appear at Wrestlemania?

Is Trish Stratus going to appear at Wrestlemania?

    source: F4WOnline.com

While most everyone expects Trish Stratus to take part in the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV, we still have yet to actually hear anything on her decision to appear or not. We never even heard if she was actually contacted to appear at the event — it is only assumed that she was.

The former WWE Women's Champion recently appeared on CTV in Canada to read the weather as part of a promotion for celebrities to fill in for a local weatherman. In an interesting case of timing, Stratus debuted dark brown hair on the program, claiming her stylist decided to change things up. If nothing else, the chances of her appearing at WrestleMania have been lowered as a result — not to say that she won't be appearing at the pay-per-view spectacular anyway.

During her appearance on the news broadcast, Stratus was asked about her recent appearance in a WWE ring when Raw was at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto last December. Stratus said she just needs to get her fix once in a while.

"I made a little re-appearance, popped in, and kicked some butt," Stratus told CTV. "It was a good fix. I get a little fix every once in a while and I'm good."

    Kurt angle terug naar wwe????
    kurt-angle-interview-20050623021631.jpg image by cena66
    - If you remember, back in December of last year we reported that the WWE creative team had discussions regarding a possible return to the company for TNA wrestler Kurt Angle. The discussions were more of a “what if?” scenario as opposed to making any plans that he will return to WWE once his deal is done with TNA later this year. Shane McMahon and Michael Hayes had even gone as far as to pitch scenarios for Angle’s return.

The latest word coming out of TNA is that Angle’s contract is up this coming September and he is suggesting to some people backstage that WWE wants him and are offering a light schedule. The story goes that Angle is saying unless certain things change within TNA, he would go with WWE.

This new report goes along with what we reported back in December. The story then was that WWE were interested in having Angle work a limited schedule, something similar to Shawn Michaels. The feeling in WWE is that Angle wouldn’t hold up to a full-time schedule with all his injuries and the fact that he will be almost 41 years of age by the time he can return.

We’ll keep you updated on anything else we hear.

Kevin Nash talks about Scott Hall's poor health

Kevin Nash talks about Scott Hall's poor health

Kevin Nash recently spoke to Phil Strum of the Poughkeepsie Journal. Here are the highlights:

On the current status of TNA: I think it’s going great. Our ratings have been strong. We’ve grown our base. Logistically, the company’s getting stronger. The company’s growing at a good pace.

On TNA getting slammed in online reviews: By who? The smarks? It’s like anything else, man. One point one percent of the people who watch television know a good match from a bad match and know who can work and who can’t work. My kid’s 12 years old. He occasionally watches it. He doesn’t know if Cena can work or if Khali can work, but he would rather see Khali because he’s a freak. Kids are kids.

On TNA ever reaching WWE’s ratings: Vince has been around for a long time. I think absolutely. It doesn’t take much to get a swim. We’ve already gained about 300,00 viewers in the last couple of weeks.

On his movie career: I actually just got a script in the mail the other day. It’s supposed to be top secret. It’s actually from the director of “The Punisher.” (Jonathan Hensleigh). It’s the same director. Hopefully, they’ll find something for me in that. I’m limited. I’m 6-10. I’m not going to play the dentist or the baker. I’m not going to be the cop that gets out of the car, unless you want a giant cop. I’m kind of limited in what I’m going to do. I take it when I can get it.

Scott Hall’s health: Scott’s not doing well at all right now. I was with him last weekend. He’s really having some hard times. You know, the WWE is very concerned even though they’ve sent him several times on their dime. They’re very concerned that one of their guys is still out there and sick. They’re still trying to figure out what they can do. It’s hard because they’re publicly traded. The system…you can’t go 55 times, you know. It just doesn’t work that way. The longer I’ve been around the addiction of different people, you just realize that your friends and family can want them to be well, but if the person doesn’t have the will to be well, it doesn’t matter what everybody else does. Until he wants to take the steps to be clean, he’s just not going to be clean. There’s plenty of people that love him and want him to do it, it’s just, he’s got to make that decision himself. We can’t do it for him. Nor can Vince or anybody else.

On ratings: I remember one time, Roddy Piper had this bodyguard guy. He came on and it was a horrible segment. I think it was the Omni. We sat at the monitor and watched this abysmal segment. People booed. Piper said, you’re being too hard on the guy. We came back and knew that the thing was going to just tank number-wise. They broke down the show. It was the highest-rated segment of the night. Scott Hall looked at me and he said, “See. People will watch horrible television.” You just have to give it to them. People watch different.

John Cena vsThe Rock op WM 26

John Cena wants to face The Rock at WM 26

In a new interview with MTV News, John Cena has challenged The Rock to a match at WrestleMania 26. Cena hasn’t officially challenged The Rock but says he would like to get him in the ring. “I’ve been trying to wrestle him,” Cena told MTV’s Josh Horowitz at a Cold Stone Creamery in New York City. “It’s not that he won’t accept the challenge. He truly has a full plate.”

“What a better showdown - Dwayne Johnson - or The Rock or whatever he wants to be called - versus John Cena at, let’s say, WrestleMania 26,” Cena said. “I’m not even saying I’m going to win. He’s a hell of an athlete. God-given ability. One of the nicest people ever to grace a WWE ring. I’d just like to get him back for a night.”

Kane talks about WM 25, Test, MITB, more

WWE RAW Superstar Kane says younger wrestlers need to be careful with performance-enhancing drugs or substance-abuse issues after they were exposed to Andrew “Test” Martin’s recent death.

Kane has been with WWE for over ten years and says WWE’s Wellness Policy is strict to help prevent more tragic deaths, but younger wrestlers still need to be careful.

“I hate to harp on about it, but it’s something the young guys need to be aware of,” Kane told the Daily Star in the U.K. “WWE has taken a number of steps to be proactive, but all these things are tragic. I knew Andrew for years and years, since he was 24 or 25, so it’s personal too when you see that happen.”

Kane also talked about the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania. Kane is scheduled for this year’s installment, but he says he didn’t expect the match to catch on at WrestleMania 21 when it first debuted.

“When we had the first one, we didn’t think that it would become a staple of WrestleMania,” Kane said.

Kane also said he expects Shelton Benjamin and Kofi Kingston to have break-out performances this year. You can read the full interview at DailyStar.co.uk.

TNA Knockout fires back at critical fans

TNA Knockout fires back at critical fans

TNA newcomer Jenna Morasca posted a blog on her MySpace account defending her decision to sign with TNA Wrestling and become a wrestler.

"I got presented with an opportunity in mid December to visit the set of TNA in Orlando and see all the people involved," Morasca wrote. "I hit it off with (most) everyone right away. I thought the work environment was great, the enthusiasm was great, and the people were very cool. I was offered the job so why should I turn it down because I feared what some haters would think!!! Would you turn down a job you wanted because you were afraid some people might not like your decision- hell no! I took on this job because I respect the sport, which it is, and was excited for a new challenge."

"Like I said a million times already I am not here to make a mockery of the sport," Morasca wrote. "I know some people say 'mockery' are you talking about wrestling!? So finally once and for all I took the job because I enjoy wrestling, have major respect for everyone involved, was excited to try something new, and can't WAIT to get in the ring! So all the haters- suck on that."

Morasca adds that she was not brought in to replace Gail Kim.

"Oh another thing! I was NOT brought in to replace the very talented Gail Kim," Morasca wrote. "Gail was gone before I got there so I am not privy to all the details of her departure. But, I do know she is an extremely talented athlete. And for people who are saying that I took Gail's money- Suckers you have NO idea how much I am getting paid, and you never will so lets just stop with your speculating."

STING IN DE HALL OF FAME?????

    - TNA wrestler Sting's name actually came up this year regarding a possible induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion got support because a number of people involved in the company's creative and producing process that were asked for input were not even aware he was working for the competition.

Sting is on good terms with Vince McMahon, so the company will likely produce a DVD based on the WCW footage they own and consider him in conjunction for the Hall of Fame when his time in TNA comes to an end.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Just nine crucial days before the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels dared to show the lighter side of Undertaker, Christian fell for his fellow Money in the Bank participants and John Cena tried to deal with a very large problem.

Shawn Michaels pays "tribute" to Undertaker (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The Showstopper paid a special "tribute" to his WrestleMania opponent, Undertaker (Match preview), making his entrance in the spirit of the bizarro world where everything is opposite. He slowly walked to the ring wearing a long white coat, white pants, white shirt, a lowered white hat and white padded gloves. He even surrounded himself with druids in white hoods as smoke consumed the air in every direction.

Michaels spoke of thriving in the spotlight throughout his career while Undertaker had flourished in the shadows. He assured the WWE Universe that he is not afraid of The Deadman because he has eternal life. However, even HBK’s spectacular entrance soon got buried by that of The Phenom. Undertaker suddenly burst through the ring floor with a vengeance; nearly chokeslamming Mr. WrestleMania before Michaels scrambled to safety with a satisfied look on his face. One week from this Sunday, words will be over and only one iconic Superstar will survive.

Kane, Finlay, Christian & Shelton Benjamin def. United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, & Mark Henry (Eight-Man Tag Team Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
The Big Red Machine delivered a devastating chokeslam to CM Punk after catching The Straightedge Superstar while he was lunging at him from the turnbuckle. But once the final bell rang - in a WrestleMania prelude - a free-for-all between the eight Superstars ensued. When Christian tried to make his own WrestleMania statement by producing a ladder and climbing it high to the Money in the Bank briefcase, Finlay tipped over the 20-foot ladder. Captain Charisma took a freefall onto his six other WrestleMaia opponents outside the ring, while Finlay made a climb of his own to touch the briefcase he soon hopes to make his. (Match preview) (Check out New Bank statements)

Big Show def. Jesse & Festus (Handicap Match) (PHOTOS)
In preparation for the World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match with World Champion Edge and John Cena (Match preview), Big Show viciously administered his knockout blow to both The Corn-Fed Colossus and Jesse to dominate a completely one-sided Handicap Match. The look of unchecked destruction consumed The World’s Largest Athlete’s eyes as he made his way out of the ring. But Big Show was not done for the night.

Big Show challenges John Cena (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Even as John Cena’s film 12 Rounds opened in theatres across America today (read more), the former champion's mind was focused on the phenomenon that is WrestleMania. He addressed the love triangle between his two WrestleMania opponents – The Rated-R Superstar and The World’s Largest Athlete - and SmackDown General Vickie Guerrero. Above all else, he showed absolute determination in his quest to walk out of WrestleMania the World Heavyweight Champion. Big Show interrupted to challenge Cena to a match on Monday Night Raw, which Cena quickly accepted. But as a satisfied Big Show stepped over the top rope to leave, Cena grabbed hold of his enormous leg and tossed his gigantic WrestleMania opponent off the ring apron and to the floor. Has Cena simply added fuel to the fire? Find out this Monday night.

Brie Bella & WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo def. Nikki Bella & World Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison (Six- Person Tag Team Match) (PHOTOS)
As Morrison was hoisting Carlito up in the air for the suplex, the Southpaw from San Juan suddenly reversed it in mid-air and delivered the Backstabber for the victory. Prior to the bell, the ring was cleared when Primo sent Miz to the floor and Brie Bella did the same to her sister, Nikki. Will the WWE Tag Team Champions have the same luck when they attempt to unify the tag team titles at 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania? (Match preview)

Divas Champion Maryse vs. Michelle McCool (No contest) (Divas Championship Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After weeks of anticipation, Gail Kim returned to WWE. As Michelle McCool was gaining an advantage over the war-torn Maryse (WrestleMania Divas Battle Royal match preview), Kim came from nowhere to hit the former Divas Champion with a relentless dropkick off the top rope. She then followed up by hitting Maryse with a neckbreaker. With both Divas lying at her feet, Kim held Maryse’s title high above her head, making her SmackDown intentions very clear.

    Matt Hardy def. R-Truth (PHOTOS)
After Matt Hardy showed the presence of mind to avoid R-Truth’s trademark scissors kick, he silenced him with the Twist of Fate. However, despite the win, the menace continues to consume Hardy’s eyes as he prepares to face his brother Jeff on the Grandest Stage of Them All. (Match preview)

Rey Mysterio def. Chavo Guerrero (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Rey Mysterio geared up to face Intercontinental Champion John Bradshaw Layfield at WrestleMania (Match preview) by scoring a huge win over Chavo Guerrero. After Guerrero missed with the family Frog Splash, Mysterio connected with the 619, followed by a spectacular splash off the top rope. After the match however, JBL appeared to make a statement of his own, flooring his WrestleMania opponent with a runaway boot to the face from nowhere.

WRESTLICIOUS dankzij 19 jaar oude man

Earlier this week, Daniel reported that Jimmy Hart was starting a campy new women's wrestling promotion called "Wrestlicious." It turns out that the promotion's Executive Producer and financial backer is a 19 year old Powerball lottery winner.

Wrestlicious has sent out the following pres release:

19 YEAR OLD WON $35 MILLION POWERBALL, STARTED WRESTLICIOUS IN 2008
    Los Angeles, CA-Saturday March 28, 2008

The Executive Producer of the new Jimmy Hart's Wrestlicious TV show creating a huge buzz on the internet, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei93yTpJSj0, 19 year old Jonathan Vargas, is excited about the overwhelming response. Vargas, the youngest Powerball winner ever, won 35.3 million in May 2008, and wasted no time pursuing his dream of being involved the wrestling business. Vargas, who lived in Gaston, South Carolina at when he bought the winning Powerball ticket recently moved to Tampa, Florida to be closer to the Wrestlicious production.

"It definitely always been a dream to be in the wrestling business. I grew up watching Jimmy Hart, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs, and it seems surreal that they are all part of Wrestlicious now. We have assembled some of the best producers and talent in the business, I know in my heart Wrestlicious will be a home run"

Vargas will appear in the show as "JV Rich", the laid back and affable Rapper/Owner of Wrestlicious. Regular features will include "JV's CRIB", a look at the goings-on inside JV's mansion frequented by The Wrestlicious Girls.

"I thought he was very nice, and doesn't seem to be affected at all by his good fortune. He was totally respectful to all the ladies on the set. He seemed to me to be involved in Wrestlicious solely because he genuinely loves wrestling and not as a vehicle to meet young women" said Wrestlicious star Lacey Von Erich.

"Mr. Vargas has been a pleasure to work with since he first expressed his interest in women's wrestling to me last summer" added Wrestlicious Senior Producer and GLOW alumni Johnny Cafarella "He's a very smart young man and surprising business acumen for a guy his age"

    UITSLAGEN TNA IMPACT 26 MAART
Klik op de afbeelding om de link te volgen

Most of the wrestlers are on the ramp, with Cornette in the ring. Cornette explains the rules of Lethal Lockdown, which isn't a good idea, since the match is much cooler than the rules would make it sound. Tonight we're having a 20 man TNA Cage Gauntlet match, with the winners getting to captain their own team. Since it's in a cage, the only way to be eliminated is by pinfall or submission, with the last two getting their own team. It's not clear what you get for winning—maybe you get the early numbers advantage? Anyway, Cornette says that the point of this is to give everyone equal opportunity. Kurt's seemingly having none of that, as the MEM come out now and join Cornette in the ring. Shouldn't he be complaining about Mick getting a title shot? Instead, he says that he doesn't understand how Cornette can talk about giving all the other jabronis a chance, when the MEM is all set to position Angle to win the match tonight. There's nothing any of us can do about it. Jarrett disagrees. He comes down to the ring in wrestling gear, and says that he's entering the main event for the sole purpose of making sure Kurt doesn't win it. Jarrett takes a cheap shot, but the roster breaks things up before they can get too hostile. I swear that if we get Team Kurt vs. Team Jarrett as the second main event at Lockdown I'm throwing something at the TV.

    [Commercial Break]

We recap what we saw moments ago.

JB is in the MEM locker room. Booker is annoyed that Nash has a woman Jenna Morasca with him. Kurt tells him to take it outside. JB asks for Kurt's response to Jarrett. Kurt doesn't think that Jeff's even going to make it to the main event, then has Steiner hand him a lead pipe. JB asks what Kurt plans to do with that. Steiner points out what a dumb question that is, but Kurt lays out his plans explicitly anyway. They involve the pipe and Jarrett's rectum.

    (1) SUICIDE vs. KIYOSHI (w/NO LIMIT)
    X Division Championship Match

Suicide flips Kiyoshi to start, but Kiyoshi rallies and nails an elbow off the top rope from two. Suicide hits some head butts, but Kiyoshi hits a Body Slam and a Sitting Clothesline for two more. He tosses Suicide out of the ring, where No Limit does some damage. They roll him back into the ring, where Kiyoshi hits an Inverted DDT for yet another two. Suicide gets in a couple of right hands, but Kiyoshi stops him with an Overhead Belly to Belly Release Suplex for two. Kiyoshi tries to finish things off with a top rope Splash, but Suicide rolls out of the way. Suicide gets up kicking, and nails an Impaler DDT for a long two count. Kiyoshi comes back with some sort of overhead slam for two of his own. He tries to go to the top, but Suicide brings him back down and nails some knees to the face. A member of No Limit tries to get up on the apron, so Suicide drives Kiyoshi's head into him, then nails his flip finish (the "Suicide Solution" for two). If they have switched who's behind the mask, whoever it is now gets mad props for learning the last guy's finisher.

WINNER: Suicide in 4 minutes. * He's like the anti-Glacier—horrendous build-up followed by ridiculous delivery. The crowd was into him the whole time.

    [Commercial Break]

Angle is trying to attack Jarrett, but the faces have congregated in his office to ward Angle off. Jarrett assures Kurt that one of those people will step up tonight.

Lauren is in the back with The Beautiful People and Madison Rayne, who doesn't get a throne yet. She (Lauren) reminds the people of a verbal shot Love took at Kong last week. So this week, they're in a match with Kong & Saeed. Love says that The Beautiful People don't sweat Kong, cause they don't sweat, period. The Beautiful People get what they want, and they've decided that they want the women's title. Velvet Sky tells Rayne that her hazing will continue this week, when she cuts Kong's hair like she did The Governor's last week.

    [Commercial Break]

In today's Rough Cut, Brother Ray talks about breaking into the business. He says that he wasn't trained well, and resents it to this day. Brother reminds us that in ECW there were 9 Dudleys, but he and Devon clicked perfectly. They've seen each other more in the last couple decades then they've seen their families. He knows that people don't pay to see Ray or Devon, they pay to see Team 3D. He also knows that Austin's said that if you don't want to be the champion, then you shouldn't be in the business, but he feels rather that if you don't want to be one half of the greatest tag team in the world then you shouldn't be.

We recap the history between Team 3D and Beer Money Inc. Tenay has a sit-down interview with all four men. He asks what they think about the match being in Philly. Storm says it doesn't matter, since wherever they are they'll be becoming the best tag team of all time. Devon disagrees—he thinks Philly is a special place. It's their backyard, and they'll be wrestling before the most bloodthirsty fans in the world. Storm says that he's been in TNA since day one, and so all of TNA is his backyard. Ray says he respects that, since he knows what it's like to build a company. He tells us about a friend he had, who used to tell his opponents: "beat me if you can…survive if I let youWell Ray wants to say that Beer Money should beat them if they can, and survive if the fans in Philadelphia let them." I don't suppose this means they're courting Taz? Roode points out that Jackie isn't there, and they don't have beer bottles or money—this is a big match, and that's how they're treating it. This might have been one of the more effective feud-building interviews I've seen lately.

They hype Lockdown, with a look back at Sting-Foley.

Lauren is in the back with Sting, who says that he doesn't know what he's going to say to Mick when he sees him in the ring later tonight. What Mick did last week (attacking him with a chair) didn't make a lot of sense, but then Mick's been doing things that don't make sense his whole career. It doesn't matter—just like with AJ and Joe, there will be no excuses. He warns Mick that if he brings a weapon, he'll fight fire with fire.

    [Commercial Break]

Lauren asks Mick Foley what he's going to talk to Sting about later tonight. He says that he'll be covering what's been on everyone's mind—the controversial finish to The Bachelor. No, he's watched the tape, and realizes that he was wrong last week. He'll be doing what wrestling fans love to see, and apologizing. Lauren warns him that Sting will be bringing his bat, and Foley thinks that's silly—there will be no need for violence. Tonight we'll see what all wrestling fans enjoy—two men hugging.

    (2) THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE (w/MADISON RAYNE) vs. AWESOME KONG & RAESHA SAEED

Saeed and Sky trade go-behinds to start. Sky gets the advantage, but it's short lived. Saeed goes for some sort of submission, but Sky fights it off and floors her with a clothesline. She tags in Love, who signals that she wants Kong. Kong's happy to oblige, so she tags in and the two of them lock up. She backs her into the corner and pounds on her. Sky tries to interfere, but eats a Choke Slam for his troubles. Kong tosses Love across the ring and squishes her in the corner. Kong's bored, so she tags in Saeed, who retains control for a minute before being on the receiving end of a Neck Breaker. Love makes the tag, and they work the five count. The crowd rallies for Velvet Sky. Really? Love tags in, but gets knocked around with a few chops. Saeed hits a one-woman Flapjack that Sky has to break up at two. Kong doesn't care for the interference, so she goes to deal with Velvet Sky. But while Kong is busy Love hits the Lights Out for the win.

WINNER: The Beautiful People in 3 minutes. There's nothing really to see here, but it was mostly harmless.

After the match, the Beautiful People try to hold down Kong so Rayne can cut her hair. It doesn't go very well for them.

    [Commercial Break]

Sting hits the ring, with a bat but without any makeup. He says that he's been trying to work it out, but can't. So he invites Mick to come out and explain himself. Here he is—it's time to see if TNA can get him booed. It doesn't look good, since he's met with a "Foley!" chant. He says that he doesn't blame Sting for being angry, but thinks that in a few minutes they'll be past all this. It was just a big misunderstanding. He reminds us that he was probably in an altered state of mind after receiving a multi-minute beat down from Angle. He also shows video of when he came back to the ring last week; Sting was holding a guitar and looking at Jarrett, so he saved the life of the founder of TNA. That gets a few boos. Sting doesn't think this is funny. He's seen the pain Mick's in, the look on his face when he tries to do something as simple as getting out of a chair. Mick's body has been ravaged by his leaving a bit of himself in rings all over the world. Last week Sting tried to protect Mick out of respect, but he's starting to get a bit pissed off now and lose some of that respect. Mick thinks Sting's philanthropy is impressive; he knows that things are bad out there. The market is in decline, houses are getting foreclosed, and lots of people could use Sting's help—but Mick isn't one of them. Who the hell is Sting to pity Mick Foley? Maybe a couple weeks ago he needed it, when he was sitting in a chair talking about Hardcore History 101, whoop-dee-woo. Oh, so there was a point to that segment. But everything changed last week when that steel chair hit Sting's head. The hands of time turned back, and Mick's ready. No one's talking about that other wrestling show in April, they all want to talk about Icon vs. Legend at Lockdown. He's not some guy reliving his glory days anymore, like that drunk in the bar talking about the feel he copped at Homecoming. Now he's living his glory days. And all those falls he's taken off high places…well he still has a few more left in him. Bang bang!
Typing up a Mick Foley promo really does not do it justice. If he can get back into ring shape by April, I might be willing to overlook their burying of the rest of the roster after all.

    3) 20 MAN GAUNTLET to determine team captains at Lethal Lockdown

Abyss and AJ Styles start things off. The crowd is pretty unanimously behind AJ, who begins with a leap frog and a dropkick. He tries to follow up with mounted punches, but gets tossed off and eats a boot. Abyss works him over a bit, flooring him with a right and choking him against the ropes. He tries to hit a Press Slam—AJ slips out, but then gets nailed with a Train Wreck Back Breaker. Shelley is out—he spits something in Abyss's face, then nails a leaping, spinning kick. He dropkicks Abyss, but then gets hoisted up for a quick Press Slam. AJ has climbed to the top rope, from which he nails a forearm to the head of Abyss. Shelley is back up, flooring AJ with some shoulders to the chest. Black Machismo is out. He takes down AJ with a Leg Lariat off the top rope, then hits some jabs and a Handspring Elbow on Shelley. He charges him in the corner, but when he tries to come off the opposite rope Shelley follows him and cuts him off with a clothesline.

    [Commercial Break]

We're back just in time to see Morgan come in. Sabin entered during the break. Morgan goes right for Abyss. He then tosses Shelley into the cage. Lethal goes for a Hurricanrana, but Morgan blocks him and rams him into the cage too. He goes for a Choke Slam on AJ, but AJ slips out and nails the Pele. AJ then shoves a dazed Morgan into Abyss for a Black Hole Slam and the elimination. Here's Homicide. He hits Suplexes on both Guns, as the crowd finally has someone other than AJ they're happy to cheer. He drives Sabin into the steel and floors Shelley with a Back Drop. People pair off. Shelley works a Boston Crab on Lethal as Homicide hits mounted punches on Sabin. Steiner enters the match. He slowly clotheslines people as they attack evil-ninja style.

    [Commercial Break]

Sabin eliminated Homicide during the break, and Consequences Creed came out. Lethal hits a Moonsault off the top rope on both members of The Guns, but doesn't even get a two count on either. They hit a Flapjack on Sabin for two. Rhino is out at number 10. I guess no one gave him the memo about the demise of The Frontline, so he zooms in exclusively on Scott Steiner. Shelley gets a bridge roll-up on Creed for two. Creed gets out and Jukes and Jives Sabin for two. He follows it up with a Face Plant off the top rope on Shelley that Sabin breaks up at two. Shelley nails a knee to Creed's face while he's at it. Jarrett starts to come down to the ring, but is ambushed by Kurt Angle on the way. He slams Jarrett into the barricade, fights off TNA security, and whacks Jarrett's arm against the barricade with a steel chair. In the ring, Sabin hits a wicked Tornado DDT on Lethal, but Creed breaks up the cover. Naito, half of No Limit, comes out next. He hits a dropkick off the top rope on his way into the ring. Lethal tries to toss him into the cage, but he climbs the ropes and comes back with a Springboard Cross Body Block for two. He briefly aligns with The Guns to hit poetry in Motion on Lethal. He goes to follow up with a Corkscrew Moonsault, but Lethal gets out of the way and quickly hits Shelley with a Lethal Combo for the pin. Angle is up, and he takes a quick detour on his way to the ring in order to whack Jarrett again on the ramp. He does some quick house cleaning, making Creed tap to the Angle Lock, then eliminating Sabin and Lethal with Olympic Slams.

    [Commercial Break]

During the break Sewell came in, but Naito was eliminated with a Steiner Flatline. Well, Sewell was in—Kurt takes him out with an Olympic Slam. Sheik Abdul Bashir is out to replace him. Bashir goes after Rhino, tossing him into the cage and stomping him against the mat. Steiner's locked up with Abyss, which leaves AJ to go for a quick School Boy on Angle for two. The crowd is back to being wholly behind AJ, till a few of them come around for Angle, who Suplexes him for two. Booker comes out. I'm moderately optimistic, given that we haven's seen Hernandez. AJ is wobbly, so Booker eliminates him with a Book End. As Booker violently helps AJ out of the cage, he misses Rhino setting up behind him for a GORE, which he hits for the elimination. AJ and Booker fight to the back, as Abyss somehow takes control in the ring. Here's, Yujiro, the other half of No Limit. A clothesline to Steiner gets broken up by Angle at two. Bashir decides it's a good idea to team up with the MEM—they share high fives with him, then Angle takes him out with an Olympic Slam. Eric Young is out next, which I believe leaves Hernandez and Joe. Before EY can get to the ring Steiner and Kurt hit a Double Clothesline on Abyss, then both jump on him to get the pin. EY clears Yujiro out of the way, but eats a quick Olympic Slam for the elimination. Again—really? Rhino Gores Yujiro for the elimination, but turns around into another Olympiic Slam for the loss. Angle and Steiner screw with the ref, trading two counts. But here comes Hernandez—he floors both men with clotheslines, tosses Angle with his shirt, hits the Dropping Back Breaker on Steiner, Pounces Angle, and hoists Steiner up for a Border Toss. Angle pulls Steiner down and Olympic Slams Hernadez for the elimination. Damnit. Steiner and Kurt catch their breath as they wait for Joe. Before he can come out though, Jim Cornette sends out Jeff Jarrett. He gets a quick advantage, but can't compete with the numbers game. A Double-team Suplex gets two. Steiner holds Jarrett up for some shots to the stomach, but Jarrett ducks one and hits a quick School Boy on Kurt for two. As Kurt gets up, Jarrett nails The Stroke on Steiner for the elimination. He and Angle share quick cover attempts. Angle cinches in the Angle Lock, but Jarrett fights it off. Jarrett nails The Stroke on Angle, but the already-eliminated but not-yet-departed Steiner breaks it up. He hits Jarrett with an Olympic Slam of his own, and Angle gets the pin. Angle thinks he's won, but doesn't realize that Jarrett doesn't count twice. Joe comes out. He and Angle trade quick submission attempts. Angle snaps off an Olympic Slam, but Joe just shrugs it off before Kurt can even attempt a cover. Angle for some reason goes to the top rope, where Joe cuts him off with a leaping kick and a Muscle Buster for the win.

WINNER: Samoa Joe (and sort of Kurt Angle) in 45 minutes or so. ***--as a match it might even deserve a bit more, but the booking boggles the mind.

    [Commercial Break]

We recap what happened in the last match. Jim Cornette is at the broadcast table, where Don West accosts him for letting Jarrett back in and not telling anyone what was going on. He responds that Jarrett never got his first chance, Cornette didn't have time to send out an inter-office memo about sending him back in, and even if he had West would have been the last person he'd send it to.

JB is in the MEM locker room with Angle. At first he doesn't want to comment, but then he gets angry. He says that he eliminated Jarrett three times (what's the third?), but he was able to come back and cost him the match because he's the booker. He tells Joe they made a mistake last time, cause they meant to end his career. So Kurt wants him to bring the "Nation of Violence", which he hopes includes Jeff Jarrett.

Lauren catches up with Samoa Joe brooding in the hallway, and wants to know what he thinks about what the other captain just said. Joe says that he has no interest in being captain. He came back for one reason only, which was to bring a world of hurt to every member of the MEM. So he'll be at Lockdown, and he's bringing his knife with him. Lauren wants to know who'll be the team captain if not him, but Joe says that that's somebody else's problem.

The RAW rating this week drops yet again

    Credit: PWInsider.com

This week's edition of WWE RAW drew a 3.5 cable rating. This is down from last week's 3.6, a 3.7 from two weeks ago, and the 4.0 range that RAW was doing when the Wrestlemania 25 hype first started. Ratings continue to move in the wrong direction as WWE heads into their biggest show of the year.

The show did hours of 3.32 and 3.65.

Update on Ric Flair's  injury from RAW

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair needed almost a dozen staples in his head following last night’s RAW to close a wound opened up by Chris Jericho in the opening segment of last night’s show.

The injury came when Jericho nailed Flair in the head with the handheld video camera.

    Mist Candice Michelle Wrestlemania opnieuw???

Diva removed from WM 25 Battle Royal

    Credit: PWPix.net

During Saturday night's replay of Raw on the Universal HD channel, the graphic promoting the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV was shown once again, but with two WWE Divas removed.

The two Divas removed from the original graphic shown on Monday were Gail Kim and Candice Michelle.

Regarding Gail Kim, she will likely be appearing in the match anyway, however, she has yet to make her official return to the ring. Kim will be making her television return to the company on this week's edition of SmackDown, which was taped this past Tuesday. This definitely looks to be a flub on WWE's part.

As far as Candice Michelle is concerned, it appears as though that she has been pulled from the match altogether, and will be missing WrestleMania for the second year in a row due to injury. Candice has been sitting on the sidelines the past few weeks due to an ankle injury she suffered during a recent training session. Considering her image was removed from the graphic, it looks like her injury has not completely healed and company officials have called off plans on featuring the former Playboy cover girl in the match.

As a result of Candice's apparent removal from the match, this opens up an extra spot for another WWE Diva from the past to appear.[/

Former WWE star fails a drug test

Former WWE star fails a drug test

The Kentucky Athletic Commission drug tested four random wrestlers at a show in Elizabethtown, KY on Saturday night and former WWE Superstar Mike Mondo of Spirit Squad fame failed the test. Mondo tested positive for marijuana. No word yet on what’s happened to Mondo but the Commission usually suspends the talent immediately and requires them to go before the full body. Mondo could be suspended for up to one year and fined up to $500.
