Wrestle-1 officially announced a tournament to crown the first Wrestle-1 World Champion. A tournament of 16 wrestlers, open to Wrestle-1 talent and their direct affiliates has been set up to crown their very first champion.

The tournament format is a 16 man single elimination tourney over the span of 3 days with the tournament ending in one match on October 8th 2014, just a few days before Bound For Glory. The Great Muta noted that he will not be taking part in the tournament and wants younger talent to step up.

Because of the amount of wrestlers and the affiliates clause, it is likely that TNA wrestlers could be involved in the tournament. The tournament begins September 21 2014. Wrestle-1 has not shown off their world title just yet.

Several wrestlers in the United Kingdom took to twitter to announce that they have been accepted for an audition to participate in British Boot Camp 2. The first group of  wrestlers to be announced were: The Owen Twins (Kasey and Leah Owens), Martin Stone, RJ Singh, Mark Andrews, and Noam Dar.

TNA has announced that the finals of British Boot Camp will take place in the historic York Hall in London on August 16th.

Kay Lee Ray is rumored to have also gotten an audition, but has not confirmed it.

During this past Monday’s WWE, Former TNA Star Consequences Creed working under his new stage name of Xavier Woods formed a new faction with Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley seems to have taken notice and suggested via his twitter account that WWE’s new stable is a copy Lashley, MVP and Kenny King in TNA. Lashley tweeted the following:

Below are some quick notes following yesterday’s TNA British Boot Camp announcement from The London Film and Comic Con

Jeremy Borash started the announcement by revealing that this year’s TNA British Boot Camp will be a departure from the first season.

The judges for the show were announced as Gail Kim, Al Snow and Samoa Joe.

They announce that the show will be open to not just wrestlers but announcers and even referees.

TNA will continue to hold a short season for the show, having 8 episodes.

No talent was named during the convention. Jeremy Borash and Al Snow confirmed that they will be scouting talent for the show soon.

The winner will be eligible for a TNA contract and 3 runners up will be showcased on TNA’s 2015 Maximum Impact Tour in the UK.

Former TNA Knockout Mickie James was also in attendance

Former TNA star “The Prince Of Punk” Shannon Moore revealed via his twitter account  that his in-ring career is over. He wrote the following:

Wrestle-1 has has announced that Seya Sanada has now been signed to a rare contract with TNA Wrestling and Wrestle-1. The X-Division champion will wrestle for both promotions full time, making trips between the USA and Japan. Previously, Sanada was signed exclusively with Wrestle-1 and used by TNA on a working relationship basis, with Sanada sent over on an overseas excursion to gain experience wrestling in a more Western market.

Sanada hinted at the change following his loss to The Great Muta at Wrestle-1′s Shogeki Impact live event.

Pwinsider is reporting that former WWE stars Ezekiel Jackson and Gene Snitsky are backstage at the Impact Wrestling tapings in NYC. No word yet on if they are visiting (Jackson lives in NYC area, Snitsky lives in Pennsylvania) or if they are working the taping. TNA will be having a press conference at 3 PM. PWinsider’s Mike Johnson is en route and will file a report as soon as he can.

PWinsider.com is reporting that former X-Division champion The Amazing Red is rumored to be the next participant in tonight’s TNA Destination X in New York at the  Manhattan center. So far Amazing Red nor TNA Wrestling have confirmed the report.

Legendary tag team Matt and Jeff Hardy have been confirmed for Destination X. The news confirmed by TNA Executive Vice President John Gaburick.  Matt Hardy is also expected to stick around for the other two nights worth of Impact Wrestling tapings in New York.

So far no word on who the duo will face off against.
