    NASH blijft bij TNA

Kevin Nash staying with TNA Wrestling

According to a report on PWTorch.com, Kevin Nash has renewed his contract with TNA Wrestling. Nash didn't appear at No Surrender this past Sunday and the word going around was that he would not appear on television again until he signed a new deal. Nash should be expected back on Impact in the near future.

More on Booker T missing No Surrender PPV

More on Booker T missing No Surrender PPV

    Sources: prowrestling.net, pwinsider.com

-- Booker T was advertised to compete in the main event of last Sunday's TNA No Surrender Pay-Per-View, but missed the show because his flight out of Texas was cancelled due to Hurricane Ike. Now, word is coming out that TNA actually took steps to prevent this from happening. The company made plans for Booker to fly out a few days early on Thursday along with Sheik Abdul Bashir and Hernandez of LAX. However, Booker chose to stay at his home in Houston and planned to fly out on his originally scheduled flight over the weekend. Booker's bad judgement regarding this situation has reinforced the feeling among many backstage that he does not take his commitment to TNA as seriously as he should.

ECW Champion Matt Hardy def. Mike Knox (non-title)
Evan Bourne (w/ Ricky Ortiz) def. The Miz (w/ John Morrison)
    Jack Swagger def. Chase Stevens
Mark Henry (w/ Tony Atlas) def. Finlay (w/ Hornswoggle)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Both ECW Champion Matt Hardy and Mark Henry were victorious on ECW on Sci Fi on Tuesday night, as the rivals are just weeks away from their ECW Title match at No Mercy. More on this story… (WATCH ECW's QUICK CUT)

Henry sought retribution after last week’s ECW when Hornswoggle caused a distraction, leading Finlay to hit Henry with a shillelagh. With WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas in his corner, Henry got his revenge, causing Finlay’s luck to run out. Henry manhandled the Belfast Brawler throughout the match, but once The World Strongest Man cornered Hornswoggle, Finlay attacked Henry with the shillelagh for the second week in a row, an act unseen by the referee. While suffering through the pain inflicted on his arm by the shillelagh, Henry still dominated, pinning Finlay after a World’s Strongest Slam. Despite the win on ECW, The World’s Strongest Man has one thing on his mind – winning back the ECW Title he lost, without being pinned, during the ECW Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven just nine days ago. (PHOTOS | WATCH))

Also on ECW, Matt Hardy proved once again why he’s the ECW Champion when he pinned Mike Knox for the second week in a row. Hardy delivered another Twist of Fate to the devious Knox, who wore the battle wounds on his face from last week’s tag team defeat by the ECW Champ. Hardy, who has proclaimed he wants to be the greatest ECW Champion of all time, is looking stronger than ever with another victory under his ECW Title. (PHOTOS)

The rivalry between Evan “Air” Bourne and John Morrison & The Miz escalated to a new level this week when Bourne was accompanied to the ring by a fellow member of ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative, Ricky Ortiz. Unlike last week, when The Miz distracted Bourne allowing Morrison to get the win, Bourne was victorious over The Miz this week in singles action. Morrison interfered by grabbing Bourne, prompting Ortiz to attack the Shaman of Sexy, distracting The Miz long enough for Bourne to roll up the self-proclaimed “Chick Magnet” for the victory. (PHOTOS)

Finally, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger was successful once again, this time defeating Chase Stevens. After winning his second match on ECW with a Red, White and Blue Thunder Bomb, smiling Swagger is looking like another fine Extreme competitor to come out of the ECW New Superstar Initiative.

World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho def. CM Punk in a Steel Cage Match to retain
    Candice Michelle def. Jillian
    JBL def. Tommy Dreamer
Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase & Manu def. Kofi Kingston, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Good Ol’ J.H. (Charlie Haas impersonating Jim Ross)
    Jamie Noble def. Paul Burchill
Rey Mysterio def. Kane by disqualification

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – On Raw, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho successfully defended his title, but as announced Monday night, the biggest challenges to his reign are still ahead. First, a World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match at No Mercy against the champion’s nemesis, Shawn Michaels. And if Jericho is able to defeat the man who revolutionized the Ladder Match, he’ll be forced to face the winner of Batista and JBL’s No Mercy match at the next pay-per-view.

    Ladder-day saint
The night’s first match was an eagerly anticipated Steel Cage Match between CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, which saw the Straightedge Superstar attempt to win back the title he was unable to defend at Unforgiven. The punt in the head that Punk received from Randy Orton a week ago proved to be too much to overcome, however, as Jericho escaped the steel cage, once again slipping away with the title.

By the end of the show, however, Jericho’s smile had turned upside down. Just after Raw General Manager Mike Adamle agreed with the champion’s suggestion that Batista and JBL face one another at No Mercy in a No. 1 Contender’s Match, he announced that Jericho would still be defending his title at the event. To the shock and horror of the World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels emerged, identifying himself as Jericho’s opponent. After having a ladder brought out, HBK mounted it and declared that they would be facing each other in a contest made famous by The Showstopper: A Ladder Match.

    Fight for your right
Earlier in the night, JBL handily defeated Tommy Dreamer as part of the ongoing Raw-ECW talent exchange. Afterward, the Longhorn Loudmouth refused to leave the ring until Adamle named him No. 1 contender to Jericho’s World Heavyweight Title. Proving the adage that birds of a feather flock together, JBL was soon joined by both the injured Randy Orton and Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella, accompanied by Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix. Marella claimed to be the right choice to challenge Jericho and Orton stated his intention to win the World Heavyweight Championship once he’s cleared to compete, but both were interrupted by Batista’s entrance music.

The Animal came to the ring, offering to beat all of the assembled Superstars in order to get his hands on the coveted gold. Attempting to diffuse the situation, Adamle made his entrance, explaining that a decision on the No. 1 contender would be made later in the evening. Adamle’s attempts to calm things down were ultimately futile, however, as a brawl broke out, ending with Batista laying out both halves of “Glamarella.” Later in the evening, Adamle made good on his word, agreeing with Chris Jericho’s suggestion that Batista and JBL face one another at No Mercy to determine the rightful No. 1 contender.

    A friend in need
Just prior to Adamle’s dual No Mercy announcements, in the night’s main event, Rey Mysterio faced the maniacal Kane, who had addressed the WWE Universe earlier wearing his old mask. Though the Master of the 619 won the match by a disqualification, the Big Red Monster paid the bell no heed, attempting to pull off Mysterio’s mask. Before Kane could dishonor the luchador, however, the Ultimate Underdog’s tag team partner from the previous week and fellow high-flyer, Evan Bourne, rushed the ring, and assisted Mysterio in chopping the 7-footer down to size.

    Young turks
Continuing to prove that they have not only some of the most impressive bloodlines in the WWE locker room, but also the skills to back them up, the team of World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase and Manu faced off against Kofi Kingston, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Good Ol’ J.H., who was really Charlie Haas disguised as SmackDown’s Jim Ross. Rhodes, DiBiase & Manu went on to defeat their opponents, perhaps in a show of force to Randy Orton, who they shared a cold glance with prior to their match.

    All eyes on her
In just her second match since her return to sports-entertainment, Candice Michelle faced Jillian as her No Mercy opponent, Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix looked on from ringside. After Candice defeated the tone-deaf songstress, The Glamazon attempted to enter the ring, but was denied by a drop-kick from Candice.

    Ig-Noble betrayal
Attempting to soothe his broken heart after Layla ditched him for William Regal, Jamie Noble defeated Paul Burchill in their match on Raw. Afterward, Layla herself came out, and told Noble that she was sorry for not getting rid of him sooner. To add insult to injury, Layla was then joined by her fellow UK-native, and the two left arm-in-arm.

Also appearing on Raw for the first time was Dolph Ziggler, who introduced himself to Mike Adamle, Chris Jericho and Lance Cade. Ziggler also approached JBL as he waited in the ring to be announced No. 1 contender, as seen in the WWE.com Exclusive video.

PALUMBO EN LONDON IN DE PROBLEMEN

More RAW superstars in danger of being released

According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, RAW superstars Chuck Palumbo and Paul London are in danger of being released from WWE. Neither man has been pushed hard on television since the draft.

Vince McMahon apparently liked Palumbo's motorcycle at first but has since lost interest. John Lauranitis, head of talent relations, has been friends with Palumbo since they worked together in WCW. Lauranitis got Palumbo work in Japan and then convinced WWE to bring him back after a less-than-stellar first stint with the company.

In regards to London, he still has several things going for him. He is liked backstage, bilingual, and has been taking acting classes to improve his character. However, he doesn't really have any backstage allies and that could cost him his job.

    SALINAS EN TNA UIT ELKAAR

Another TNA Knockout Leaving The Company

    source: PWInsider.com

Shelly "Salinas" Martinez is through with TNA. She quit the company.

It was announced during tonight's No Surrender pay-per-view broadcast that Jacqueline had attacked Salinas backstage. That's the storyline reason for her departure from the company.

Martinez was recently tapped for a role in an Italian film that would have conflicted with her bookings for TNA. Reportedly, she offered to give up the film role if TNA increased her pay, but they refused. As a result, she handed in her notice to the company. Her contract was due to expire next month anyway.

Backstage Update On The New ECW Superstar

Backstage Update On The New ECW Superstar

The man that debuted last night on ECW as “The All-American, American” Jack Swagger is WWE developmental worker Jake Hager. Hager spent time in Deep South Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling and most recently in Florida Championship Wrestling.

Hager attended the University of Oklahoma and was a two-sport athlete, playing as a defensive tackle in football and competing as a heavyweight wrestler. In 2006 he was an All-American in wrestling, setting the single season record for the most pins with 30.

    ODB's contract loopt bijna af

TNA Knockout ODB's contract with the company will be expiring in a few weeks.

She, along with a number of other girls, signed deals with TNA late last October following their respective tryouts in a battle royal match at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

We haven't heard anything on ODB renewing her deal with TNA yet, but the chances of her leaving are highly unlikely as she's a pretty big part of the Knockouts division and WWE's likely not interested in her.

WWE had her under their nose in Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2006/2007, and despite being the most over female in the promotion at the time, were never interested in signing her to a developmental contract due to her looks.

Carlito & Primo def. WWE Tag Team Champions Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder – Non-Title
Jeff Hardy def. United States Champion Shelton Benjamin & MVP & The Brian Kendrick  – Fatal Four Way Match – earning an opportunity to face Triple H for the WWE Championship at No Mercy

MILWAUKEE – After ambushing Undertaker at Unforgiven, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero and Big Show emerged with some very strong words for The Phenom, as they revealed their business alliance and set themselves up as Friday night’s “true power couple.” (WATCH) | (PHOTOS)

After Guerrero set the stage, recalling how she spit in the face of The Deadman this past Sunday – preventing him from sending her to hell – The World’s Largest Athlete laid out the mutual benefits of their business relationship. He explained that the union was fueled by their need to show Undertaker that no one is above the rules, informing the WWE Universe that he would help Guerrero get SmackDown where it needed to be and, in return, she would help him get what he wants – the WWE Championship.

Above all, the unlikely corroborators made it clear that their first order of business would be to obtain Guerrero’s apology from Undertaker, by any means necessary.

    The victory before the slaughter
WWE Champion Triple H returned to SmackDown with the gold resting firmly on his shoulder (PHOTOS), after defying the odds in the WWE Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. But while The Game spent most of his night getting inside the heads of his prospective challengers, Jeff Hardy captured a hard fought victory over United States Champion Shelton Benjamin, MVP and The Brian Kendrick in a whirlwind Fatal Four Way Match that earned him the opportunity to face The King of Kings at No Mercy. (CHECK OUT THE NEW JEFF HARDY VIDEO at WWE SHOP)

However, after The Legend Thriller had successfully delivered a stunning double Swanton Bomb onto both The Brian Kendrick and Shelton Benjamin, the uninvited Vladimir Kozlov decided to make a surprise visit down to the ring. The Moscow Mauler followed up his Handicap Match slaughter of Scotty Goldman and Funaki earlier in the evening by decimating the new No. 1 contender. (WATCH) | (PHOTOS)

For weeks, Kozlov has demanded better competition, and his attack on Hardy may bring him the fight he has been looking for.

    Six-Diva delight
Divas Champion Michelle McCool, Maria & newcomer Brie Bella prevailed against Maryse, Natalya, & Victoria in a Six-Diva Tag Team Match. After Bella once again attempted to find solace beneath the ring, the energy-charged Diva resurfaced to pin Victoria for the third week in a row. (WATCH) | (PHOTOS)

Guerrero and Neely face the Truth
The dynamic R-Truth secured an important victory over Chavo Guerrero by disqualification. Just when it looked as if Truth was gaining the momentum on the fierce Mexican Warrior, Bam Neely took it upon himself to openly interfere, thereby costing his enraged employer the match. Then, when Guerrero reacted harshly to his bodyguard’s assistance, their dispute quickly got out of hand, only to be disrupted by R-Truth, who definitively showed them both “what’s up!” (PHOTOS)

    Dykstra to go?
Confusion surrounded the WWE Universe from the second Jesse and Festus made their way to the ring dressed in moving attire – complete with a hand truck, a large cardboard box and moving supplies. But, when Dykstra took a cheap shot at both Superstars, things went from unclear to downright strange. After repelling Dykstra’s attack, the pair proceeded to package the young Superstar to the hilt and roll him away. Has SmackDown seen the last of Kenny Dykstra? (PHOTOS)

    Brothers united - that’s cool
Brothers Carlito & Primo made their SmackDown debut together, scoring an exciting non-title pinfall over WWE Tag Team Champions Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder after Carlito hit Curt Hawkins with The Backstabber.

The Beautiful People's contract loopt bijna af

It's interesting to note that the TNA contracts of "The Beautiful People" - Angelina Love and Velvet Sky - are set to expire at the end of next month.

Velvet Sky and Angelina Love, along with a number of other girls, signed deals with TNA late last October following their respective tryouts in a battle royal match at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

It's pretty much a given that TNA will be renewing them, that is of course if WWE doesn't interfere in contract negotiations like in the case of Gail Kim.

"The Beautiful People" are perhaps TNA's hottest property on their most consistently watched division. To lose them would be a huge blow to the Knockouts division to say the least.

Angelina Love was previously under a developmental contract to WWE, but was let go in May 2007. She was close to being called up to the main roster a few times, but could never break through for one reason or another.

Velvet Sky has worked with WWE a few times in the past. She wrestled Victoria in a match on Heat in July 2005. She also did guest spots during a JBL championship celebration in February 2005 and on an episode of WWE Heat in January 2006 with The Heart Throbs. She also tried out for the Diva Search last year, but was unable to make the final cut.

Now that the two have proven themselves in TNA, WWE will know what to expect from them and you'd have to think that the duo will be given a second look from them.

There are several news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" broadcast as TNA Wrestling counts down the hours until this Sunday's "No Surrender" Pay-Per-View:

    - The big news is that "The King Of The Mountain" Jeff Jarrett is apparently coming to "No Surrender" this Sunday on Pay-Per-View - but the question is, will he be backing TNA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe? Sting ended "iMPACT!" by calling out Jarrett, but it was Joe who appeared in the rafters - claiming he wasn't coming alone to the PPV this Sunday! Then, Jarrett's music played and the former World Champion appeared above the entrance ramp. Tune in to "No Surrender" this Sunday on Pay-Per-View to see what happens when Jarrett makes his return to TNA Wrestling!

    - Speaking of Joe, he ran the gauntlet on Thursday night to prove to Kevin Nash he is ready to defend the gold this Sunday in the main event at No Surrender. After Joe was victorious over Tomko, Nash told Joe he had taught him everything he could and left the champion to celebrate his win as "Big Sexy" left the ring and the arena!

    - TNA Knockout Women's Champion Taylor Wilde won the Beautiful People's Beauty Pageant. Taylor faces Angelina Love for the gold this Sunday at No Surrender!

    - Christian Cage stepped up to answer the challenge from Abyss but Team 3D, Booker T and Kurt Angle got involved - leading to a bout later on between Morgan and Abyss vs. Booker and Angle. During that bout, Team 3D once again interfered leading to Angle and Booker winning. This Sunday, Morgan and Abyss will face Team 3D in a tag team bout!

    - Frank Trigg confronted "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, leading to a brawl between the two TNA superstars. Styles will face Trigg this Sunday at "No Surrender" in a mixed martial arts bout!

    - Awesome Kong bloodied Roxxi in singles action, with ODB coming out to help Roxxi before Kong brutalized her ant further!

GAAT GAIL KIM NAAR TNA OF WWE

At least as of a few days ago, Gail Kim has not signed a contract with WWE, but the talk over the weekend is that she's leaning towards them. She decided to talk with TNA again before making her final decision to see if they would be willing to offer money close to what WWE was offering. There is a still a huge difference between the two offers and people close to her are saying that the odds of her returning to TNA are rather small. If TNA offered Kim nearly the same amount of money WWE's offering, she'd likely be staying with them.

    John Morrison def. Evan Bourne
    Jack Swagger def. Josh Daniels
ECW Champion Matt Hardy & Finlay def. Mark Henry & Mike Knox

MILWAUKEE – Still seething after losing the ECW Championship to Matt Hardy at Unforgiven, a vengeful Mark Henry demanded a rematch on ECW on Sci Fi. While Hardy declared he wanted to be the greatest ECW Champion of all time, the World’s Strongest Man interrupted and attacked the new champ. But, Hardy quickly turned the tables on Henry and his cohort, WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, leaving Henry on the ground ringside and Atlas face-down in the ring after a Twist of Fate.

The rivals met again in tag team action later in the night as Hardy teamed up with Finlay and Hornswoggle to face Henry and Mike Knox. While Hornswoggle distracted Henry, and Finlay hit the World’s Strongest Man with a shillelagh, Hardy delivered a devastating Twist of Fate and pinned an already bloodied Knox for the win. Once again, the ECW Champion reigned victorious, but similar to the finish of the ECW Scramble Match at Unforgiven, Hardy didn’t pin Henry for the win, leaving the World’s Strongest Man still hungry to regain ECW’s top prize.

Also on ECW, John Morrison prevailed over Evan Bourne as The Miz did more than just sit idly by at ringside. Seeking revenge for being defeated by Bourne & Rey Mysterio on Raw the previous night, The Miz distracted the high-flying Bourne while he was on the top rope. Morrison took that opportunity to hit Bourne with a kick, knocking him to the ground and picking up the pin.

“The All-American American” Jack Swagger made his first ECW appearance on Tuesday night as he faced local competitor Josh Daniels. Swagger, who joined the Land of the Extreme as part of ECW General Manager Theodore Long’s New Superstar Initiative, was successful in his debut after leveling Daniels with a Blue Thunder Bomb for the win.
