Another former WWE Diva contacted for WM 25

Former WWE Diva Miss Jackie (Jackie Gayda-Haas) told a fan at the Arnold Classic Expo this weekend that WWE approached her about wrestling at the 25 Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV, reports prowrestling.NET.

Tyler Turner reports: "Ran into Jackie at the Arnold Classic Expo in Columbus, Ohio this weekend. She looks great, and I chatted with her for a few minutes. She said the WWE had already contacted her about being in the Divas battle royal at WrestleMania."

In 2002, Gayda-Haas was awarded a contract from World Wrestling Entertainment after co-winning the second series of the reality television show Tough Enough. On July 8, 2005, Jackie was released by WWE along with her husband, Charlie Haas.

Fans outside the arena saw Helms leave the area via ambulance. Helms worked the live event in Bakersfield, Californa the next night, but has not appeared in a WWE ring since.      Details on a new TNA star debuting
Posted by Randy Gordon on 03/08/2009 at 01:51 PM

TNA is hyping a new star coming in on their website with the following line: “ANDROMEDA: A New Era….A Unique Superstar…Coming Soon To TNA Wrestling”

No word yet on who could be behind the Andromeda gimmick but the company did just sign Rob Terry from Team 3D’s wrestling school, so he’s a possibility. Just an interesting note, in Greek mythology, Andromeda was a woman who was punished by being chained to a rock as a sacrifice to a sea monster, but eventually saved by her future husband.

Divas Champion Maryse def. Eve (Non-title)
United States Champion Shelton Benjamin def. Jeff Hardy (Disqualification) (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)
WWE Champion Triple H def. Umaga (Non-title) (Disqualification)

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – The tension throughout WWE continued to intensify at Mohegan Sun Arena as the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania looms on the horizon. (Special coverage of the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania) On SmackDown, seven different Superstars interrupted the action throughout the night, employing treacherous ambushes, calls for justice, attacks of revenge and outright meanness.

WWE Champion Triple H def. Umaga (Non-title) (Disqualification) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Although Randy Orton set the stipulation on Monday Night Raw that Triple H could not touch him without being provoked until their epic encounter at WrestleMania, that didn’t stop “Legacy” from coming after The Game this Friday. After The King of Kings had hurled Umaga over the top rope and onto the floor, Orton, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes emerged from the crowd, stalking the ring like a pack of wolves. Once they moved in, the 13-time World Champion launched a fierce counter-offensive, trying to hold off Legacy both in and outside the ring. But his dangerous adversaries were unrelenting, finishing their target off with four vicious kicks to the head by Orton, leaving Triple H completely annihilated.

25th Anniversary of WrestleMania World Heavyweight Championship Match Contract Signing (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Before SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero could get the contract signing underway, World Heavyweight Champion Edge demanded to know the true definition of her relationship with Big Show. But, after a heated exchange of words between The Rated-R Superstar and The World’s Largest Athlete, it looked like their match would become official. That was until John Cena interrupted the gathering, laying waste to both Superstars. The former World Champion then whispered something into Guerrero’s ear that was not audible to the WWE Universe, but clearly shook the General Manager to her core. Later, a very upset Guerrero informed her husband that she was moving the contract signing to Monday Night Raw, leaving the WWE Universe with more questions than answers.

Montel Vontavious Porter def. Matt Hardy (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Prior to his match, Matt Hardy proclaimed that even though his brother, Jeff, didn’t wish to face him, he would not be able to run from him. He vowed to qualify for the WrestleMania Money in the Bank Ladder Match, destroy the seven other Superstars and finally become a World Champion. But, much to his chagrin, his opponent MVP was instead able to further his new-found winning streak, countering Hardy’s Twist of Fate to score a victory over his long-time foe, solidifying his place at the WrestleMania table. However, Matt Hardy’s night would not end there.

United States Champion Shelton Benjamin def. Jeff Hardy (Disqualification) (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After missing his chance at Money in the Bank, Matt Hardy decided to bring the same fate upon his brother. Once Jeff Hardy had executed the Twist of Fate on The Gold Standard, Matt calmly walked to the ring without a word and delivered a single punch to the reeling United States Champion, causing Jeff’s disqualification. For the second time, Matt Hardy intentionally squashed his brother’s dreams.

Undertaker accepts the challenge of Shawn Michaels (WATCH | PHOTOS)
After Shawn Michaels overcame Vladimir Kozlov this past Monday night to win the right to face Undertaker at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, the legendary Deadman emerged to accept HBK’s challenge. And when a video compilation of Michaels’ WrestleMania history interrupted The Phenom, the Superstar with a 16 – 0 WrestleMania streak made the chilling warning that he was the wrong Superstar to play mind games with.

Divas Champion Maryse def. Eve (Non-title) (PHOTOS)
Following Maryse’s victory over Eve with the DDT, Women’s Champion Melina - who Maryse had attacked from behind on Monday Night Raw - charged to the ring and unleashed her fury on the Divas Champion. And though Michelle McCool appeared to be staying out of the action, joining Tazz and Jim Ross at the announce table, her neutrality was short-lived. While Melina was busy with Maryse, the former Divas Champion slid her way into the ring, delivering a massive kick to Melina from behind. In the end, Michelle left both war-torn champions down for the count.

TNA Wrestler Says Everyone In TNA Wants To Be In WWE

TNA Wrestler Says Everyone In TNA Wants To Be In WWE

TNA wrestler Sonjay Dutt, who is about to be let go from TNA, says that everyone on the TNA roster has a desire to be in WWE.

"Any professional wrestler - ask everybody in TNA no matter where you are - they're going to want to be in WWE," Dutt told World Band Media radio. "That's the top; that's the best. Every professional wrestler deep down in their heart wants to be in WWE."

Dutt said the top stars however probably enjoy working for TNA more than WWE due to the easier schedule and generous pay. "WWE's schedule is so insane and hectic, so for a guy like Sting who has put his time into the business, he doesn't need to be on the road," Dutt said. "TNA is a good option. It has a light schedule to make the kind of money they want to make."

Sonjay’s contract with TNA expires at the end of the month. He’s headed to Japan this weekend for a tour with Zero-One, then he’s back on the indy circuit here in the U.S. There have been rumors that WWE is interested in Sonjay, which he obviously hopes are true. Dutt believes he could be a valuable asset to WWE for their upcoming tour of India and progressive international expansion in Southeast Asia.

    uitslagen TNA IMPACT 5 MAART
Klik op de afbeelding om de link te volgen

We start off tonight’s show with a look back at the Main Event Mafia and their internal turmoil. We see the faux sympathy that Kurt Angle has shown to Sting. We see Jeff Jarrett show why he is the founder of TNA, we also see him get attacked by Kurt. We see the contract officially signed between Kurt and Sting.

Jeff Jarrett is in the Founder’s Lounge and he says that due to Kurt Angle’s actions last week, he was suspended for one week without pay. Jeff says that he is no longer an active wrestler and Angle decided to attack him and the executive shareholder. Jeff says that Kurt’s salary has been donated to a worthy cause.

We are live on tape from Universal Studios and your announcers are Mike ‘Humble Pie’ Tenay and Don ‘Forget Honky Tonk Man, I have an a** whooping list’ West.

Mike says that Don will explain his actions from last week. Don says that he knows that he shocked a lot of people last week and said a lot of things that were out of character. Don says that he said some things that hurt the fans and friends. Don says that if he could have last week back, he wouldn’t change any of it. Don says that he apologizes for nothing and he says that if you have been betrayed by a friend, you know how he feels. Don says that he is going to be on the announce team until he hears otherwise and tells everyone to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Mick Foley comes to the ring and he has something to say. Mick says that with great pride he introduces the TNA Heavyweight Champion and Sting comes out. Mick says that this has been a long time in the making. Mick says that he wants to thank Sting for saving him last week on Impact. Mick says that it is probably not the first time that Sting saved him. Two weeks ago, he went on a walk down memory lane, his most important moment was when he came out of a refrigerator box and hit the ‘elbow drop of a lifetime’ on Sting. Mick says that if it was anyone else, it would not have meant a thing. That move changed Mick’s life because every bit of success goes back to that day eighteen years ago. Mick wants to save Sting now. He hopes that after Destination X, no matter what else happens, he wants to think that we have seen the last of the Stinger as a part of the Main Event Mafia. Mick says that TNA needs Sting back because Mick needs Sting back as the executive shareholder. Mick says that the fans need Sting back.

Sting says that he appreciates the nice and kind words from someone like Mick because it means a lot. Sting says that he cannot let an egomaniac like Kurt Angle make the decision whether he is in the Main Event Mafia or not. Sting says that he does not have any problem with the other members of the Main Event Mafia and he has a history with them. Mick says that he has never played Sting the way the Main Event Mafia has.

The rest of the Main Event Mafia comes to the ring. Nash is on the mic and he wants to know why Mick is so tense. Nash says that Foley hasn’t been here long enough to know what is going on. Nash tells Steve that Mick is ‘office’ and not one of the boys. He calls Mick a ‘stooge’. Nash talks about the last five month and how they are so close to getting the respect that they deserve.

Sting says that he does not have a problem with any of the Main Event Mafia members in the ring. Kurt did not respect him when Kurt spit in his face. Nash tells Steve that he ain’t looking at Kurt. They knew that Kurt was a hot head but he is their hot head. He wants Kurt next to him if they have to go to war. He also wants Sting with him. Nash says that Mick and Jarrett painted Sting in a corner and they have to fight, but they can fight like warriors. They can fight with honor, dignity, and respect. At the end of the night, no matter who wins, the belt stays in the family. Nash says that they are stronger than ever. The other objective is that Sting turns his back and walks away without finishing what they set out to do. Sting might be able to live with that, but none of them will be able to live with that.

Kurt Angle is in the Impact Zone despite being barred from the building. We go to commercial.

We are back with the Ultimate X Rough Cut where they talk about the dangerous moves during the Ultimate X Match. Chris Sabin talks about how he had to deal with a title belt that was not going to come off. A.J. suggests that the next step would be an Ultimate X inside the Six Sides of Steel.

Jay Lethal is in the back with Lauren and Consequences Creed shows up and they are wearing suits. Lauren wants to know what the occasion is and Creed says that Jeff Jarrett gave them a bonus because Jarrett thinks that they are the future of the company. Lauren wonders if it came from Kurt Angle’s pay check. Jay Lethal has turned from Black Machismo into the Second Black Nature Boy. Lethal talks about the Machine Guns and how they are not loyal. Nash says they don’t need any more headaches with him and Sting. Kurt says that he is here to have fun. Booker tells Kurt that Jeff Jarrett gave Kurt’s money to the Frontline for new suits. Steiner holds A.J. for Booker and Booker with a slap. A.J. avoids Booker and he grabs the belt as he leaves the ring.

A.J. backs into three policemen in full riot gear. Two of them take A.J. away while the third one goes into the ring. Steiner pushes this policeman and it is Samoa Joe. Joe with a kick and punch to Steiner and Joe has the same knife from last week. Security hits the ring and they try to convince Joe not to kill Steiner.

    We go to commercial.

SONJAY DUTT speaks on leaving TNA AND GOING TO WWE

Sonjay Dutt speaks on leaving TNA and going to WWE

Sonjay Dutt was on the Desi Live radio show on WorldBand Media Thursday and spoke about his departure from TNA and rumors he’s going to the WWE. Relevant quotes are below and the entire interview with available here. Some highlights:

    ON LEAVING TNA

DJ JoN-E: What happened at the end, why did you leave?
Sonjay Dutt: Basically my contract was coming up at the end of March, we negotiated for a renewal contract which took about 2 or 3 weeks with my agent going back and forth with the company and we agreed to a contract that was fine, we agreed that I would sign the contract...so I was looking forward to another 3 years with the company and the company was looking forward to another 3 years with me. That was on a Thursday, they told me I would sign on Monday. That next day Friday afternoon I got a call and they said some restructuring was going on with the company and they weren’t going to be able to renew my contract.

ON RUMORS HE’S GOING TO THE WWE

DJ JoN-E: You mentioned WWE and I read reports online like many people and some say they’re interested and looking towards and you’re saying you’re interested in working towards them. Has there been any contact between you two?

You know I read the same thing online and I don’t know where that came from but for my sake I hope it’s true. (laughs) But no contact has been made yet. Technically I’m still under contract with TNA so once things end hopefully they give me a call or whatnot.

What You Didn't See On Last Night's WWE RAW

What You Didn't See On Last Night's WWE RAW

PWMania.com reader Michael Walsh sent in the following:

Unfortunately, the dark match that was advertised before the event never came through which was disappointing. After RAW went off air, John Cena apologized to the crowd for losing in his hometown and then the Big Show came down, there was a confrontation and John Cena ended up giving the Big Show an attitude adjustment (FU). He then posed for the crowd, hugged his Dad in the audience and left. Big Show didn't get up for literally like 10 minutes.

    Notes about the show:

Alot of people were disappointed that neither CM Punk or Cryme Tyme were there, there were alot of signs for both.

During the Chris Jericho segment, staff members were trying to fix the Rowdy Roddy Piper symbol on the tron, it kept hanging off and wasn't straight.

The Undertaker and of course, John Cena, received the biggest pops from the crowd. Triple H and Shawn Michaels were up there too. I would say that Randy Orton and Chris Jericho got the the most heat for sure.

Overall great show, going to live shows like that really makes you become even bigger WWE fans.

Fans Protest Wrestler's Release From WWE

    source: PWInsider.com

During filming of a ringside segment featuring announcers Dusty Rhodes and Josh Matthews at Thursday's Florida Championship Wrestling television taping, the crowd erupted with loud "Colt Cabana" chant in honor of recently released WWE wrestler Scotty Goldman, who frequently appeared at the developmental promotion's shows. Apparently, the chants got under the skin of Rhodes as following filming of the segment, he asked the fans what they were saying. They replied "Colt Cabana," to which he quickly snarled back "he's gone." The WWE Hall of Famer also made a thumb hit-the-road gesture.
