News On AJ Styles' Promo Last Week

The AJ Styles promo on last week’s Impact is rumored to have been created by Styles himself according to a report by the Wrestling Observer. Styles reportedly asked for TV time to run a promo because he felt his loner character needed to explain his random babyface turn.

Report by: David Stephens of Wrestleview.com

Triple H is already in the ring as RAW comes online. His heel theme is pumping through the arena speakers. The Shield is present in front of the ring to provide protection for the cerebral assassin. Triple H introduces the face of the WWE, Randy Orton. Orton makes his way to the ring and holds his Title overhead to taunt the crowd.

Orton claims that as the Champion he must represent the company. Anyone who is not happy with this situation will be found and punished. Orton says that last week Daniel Bryan defaced his personal property. Orton says that as a result he was forced to deface Daniel Bryan. A clip shows Orton spray-painting ‘no’ on Bryan’s chest on Smackdown.

Orton refers to the audience and says that he has a game to play. He asks if Daniel Bryan should face him at Night of Champions for the WWE Title. The crowd responds with the affirmative but Orton ignores them. Orton continues to run down Bryan and put himself over as the face of the company. Orton says that Bryan will always be a ‘B+’ competitor.

Triple H speaks and says that the WWE has the best fans in the world. It is his job to ensure that they get the best show possible. HHH adds that he also is responsible for Superstar health and wellbeing. Trips fears that Bryan is becoming a danger to himself. The crowd is only adding fuel to the fire with their chanting and raving. They are confusing popularity with what is best for business.

Triple H reminds the audience of Doink the Clown. Doink was ‘insanely’ popular but having him as Champion would not be best for business. (Triple H throwing the words ‘insane’ and ‘clown’ together is no doubt in reference to Scott Hall appearing on last week’s episode of Insane Clown Posse Theater)

Bryan comes out to the ramp and says that he has no problem being compared to Doink the Clown. Bryan claims that HHH is a corporate sellout. Daniel adds that Orton gave up on being in the Title picture until someone handed it to him. Triple H wants Bryan to give his Night of Champion match away, but there is no way Bryan won’t fight Orton.

Bryan amuses the crowd by saying that Stephanie McMahon is manlier than Randy Orton. Orton asks how many times he has to be punched in the face before getting the message. Bryan tells the story of his struggle and always being held back because of his size. Bryan was told that he would never be World Champion. Bryan has accomplished an entire litany of things that he was told he could not do. Bryan had to scratch and claw his way to the top. Orton was handed his success. Bryan says that he knows that he can beat Orton for the Championship. Bryan wants Randy Orton one on one. Orton has the genetics of a Champion but not the heart.

Triple H responds by saying that his anger is misdirected. HHH says that the real person that Bryan should be angry with is The Big Show. He has an ironclad contract, but chooses to sit back and watch Bryan be decimated each and every week. Bryan should be mad at Show, not Triple H or Orton. Trips announces that tonight’s main event will be Daniel Bryan versus The Big Show.

    -Commercial-

Triple H and Orton are walking through the back. Cody Rhodes approaches. Triple H asks him about his dad; Cody says he is doing well. Rhodes thinks that tonight’s main event will be good if no one interferes. Rhodes is confused as to why his former Legacy mentor doesn’t want to fight Bryan. Cody offers that Orton versus Bryan is what is best for business. Triple H responds that he doesn’t need to take Cody’s advice. HHH notes that Rhodes has a wedding coming up. Orton and Triple H are upset that they did not receive invitations for the wedding. Trips says that he has gotten Rhodes a wedding present. Tonight Cody will be fighting Orton. Rhodes is happy with the decision. Triple H says that if Cody cannot win tonight than it will be the end of his employment.

Fandango w/ Summer Rae v. The Miz

Miz hits a hiptoss. Fandango rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Miz catches him with a baseball slide. Miz rolls him back into the ring and follows for a roll up. Fandango kicks out. Miz takes him down with a side headlock.

Booker approaches Daniel Bryan in the locker room. He cautions Bryan to watch his back. Bryan deserves better than having to go back to wrestling in high school gyms. He can achieve so much success and money with this company. Booker suggests that he drops his Title match with Orton. Booker is worried that Bryan will be injured or beaten to the point that Bryan’s career will come to an end. Booker likes Bryan and wants him to have long-term success.

    -Commercial-

Dolph Ziggler is in the ring for the next match. He is awaiting his opponent. Dean Ambrose runs into the ring from behind. The United States Champion begins to pound on his Night of Champions opponent. The bell has not rung for the match. Ambrose tosses Ziggler shoulder first into the steel post.

Ryback’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Ambrose heads out to allow Ziggler’s real opponent to have a match.

    Dolph Ziggler v. Ryback

Ziggler is barely on his feet when the match starts. Ryback tosses him across the ring with a belly-to-belly suplex. Ryback punches and taunts Dolph. Ryback tosses him again this time simply by the hair. Ryback pounds his head into the ground and then continues with the punches. Ziggler catches a brief opening and kicks Ryback in the head. He mounts him in the corner and starts a ten-punch attack. Ziggler backs away for a moment, which is enough time for Ryback to flip him inside out with a Meathook. Ryback hits Shell Shocked as the last bit of light leaves Ziggler’s eyes.

    Winner: Ryback

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are in an office. Brad Maddox walks in and shares that Big Show is refusing to fight Daniel Bryan tonight. Stephanie leaves the office and says that she is about to have a very public conversation.

    Promo airs for Los Matadores

    -Commercial-

Stephanie is in the ring and says that she grew up in the backstage areas of arenas across the nation. She introduces her friend, her giant – The Big Show. He makes his way down and into the ring.

Big Show hugs Stephanie as he gets into the ring. Stephanie runs over several failures in the financial life of Big Show and says that he is broke. Stephanie says that there aren’t many job opportunities for someone in his position. Stephanie reminds Show of his family and the people that need him. Stephanie says that if Big Show does not wrestle Daniel Bryan tonight he will face further roadblocks. Steph even goes as far as to point out that giants don’t live as long as other people. Stephanie leaves the decision in the hands of Show. Big Show looks to cry as RAW goes to commercial.

    -Commercial-

During the commercial an angry and emotional Big Show took out his aggression on a table backstage.

The Prime Time Players v. 3MB (Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal w/ Drew McIntyre)

Heath pushes Young towards the corner and tags in Jinder. He plants Young with a shoulder block only to be met with an elbow. Young hits an Atomic Drop and goes for the cover. Jinder kicks out. Young kicks Jinder but gets tripped up.

Slater gets the tag and stomps on his opponent. Jinder gets in a cheap shot. Slater seesaws the throat of Young into the bottom rope. Heath cinches on a side headlock. Jinder gets the tag and exchanges some quick tags with his partner as they continue to isolate Young. Darren sense a brief opportunity and drops Jinder.

Titus gets the tag and charges into the ring. He tosses Jinder overhead and follows with a boot then a pin. Slater makes the save. Young chases Slater out of the ring. Titus decimates Jinder with a sitout spinebuster. Cover and this match is over.

    Winners: The Prime Time Players

After the match, the crowd dances along with the victors.

    -Commercial-

Brad Maddox is on the phone in his office. Heyman comes up to him and tells Maddox to call back. Heyman is upset that Maddox made a match between Punk and Curtis that almost guarantees that Punk will get his hands on Heyman. Paul is worried that if that happens then Paul Heyman will never be seen again. Triple H walks up and Maddox walks away. Triple H claims that he has watched Heyman weasel his way through situations for years. The match at Night of Champions guarantees that Heyman won’t be able to weasel his way free. Trips claims that Punk getting his hands on Heyman is what is best for business.

    -Commercial-

    Cody Rhodes v. Randy Orton

If Rhodes does not beat Orton than this will be the end of Rhodes’ career. A close-up shot of Rhodes’ face reveals a very emotional Superstar about to have the fight of his life. Cody’s baby blue eyes shine with a tint of desperation and a dash of martyrdom.

Orton backs Rhodes into the corner and hits a few punches. Rhodes fights back with some punches and kicks of his own. Rhodes whips Orton across the ring but is caught with a clothesline. Orton grabs Rhodes and drops him gut first onto the top rope. Orton bashes the head of Rhodes into he turnbuckle and then tosses him out of the ring. Cody counters as Orton tries to toss him into the steel steps. Orton’s head meets the steps instead. Rhodes rolls him back into the ring and goes for a cover. Orton kicks out.

Orton sidesteps and Rhodes lands stomach first in the middle of the ring.

Orton responds with a suspended DDT. Orton taunts the crowd as he prepares for the RKO. The crowd is roaring as Cody reverses – and hits Cross Rhodes. Cover, but Orton kicks out. Rhodes counters another RKO and tries for a roll up. Orton kicks out. Rhodes misses a disaster kick and lands awkwardly on his leg. Orton kicks out the back of his leg. Orton finally connects with the RKO.

    Winner: Randy Orton

After the match Orton makes his way up the entrance ramp as the fallen Rhodes wits in the ring. Triple H joins Orton on the ramp with a microphone. Despite a heartfelt fight, this is the end for Cody Rhodes. Triple H fires Cody.

    -Commercial-

CM Punk’s music hits. He makes his way down to the ring carrying a kendo stick. Punk begins to speak and says that he is finished with empty threats. Punk claims that he has said everything that he needs to say. He is done talking, Punk wants to fight. If fighting Curtis Axel is the only way to face Heyman than he is fully on board. Punk would invite them out to the ring but he knows that they wouldn’t come. Punk says that he is in such a dark place right now that he wouldn’t even want to fight himself. Punk says that he is not here to convince people of the biblical ass beating that will happen at the PPV. Instead, Punk wants all of the fans to know that he is going to destroy Heyman. Heyman says that Punk broke his heart, so Punk is going to break his face.

More On Dolph Ziggler's Backstage Heat

-- WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler recently spoke with MLive about maintaining and staying positive through the ups and downs of his pro wrestling career. Ziggler stated:

"I love this, I love doing this. I have no desire to switch companies or go to UFC or anything like that. I'm very ambitious, and I'm very outspoken about where I should be and where I need to be in the WWE. I love that I've never been one handed anything - ever. If I would've have been handed things, I don't know if I would've been able to enjoy it as much. Every time I turn a corner, it seems like the rug is being taken underneath me. It's like 'Hey, great job!' and then nothing. It's like 'Hey, wow, look what you can do!' and I'll say 'Thanks, boss!' and then there's nothing. And so, it's hard (to stay upbeat), but you have to deal with it and it makes me hungrier every single day knowing that I've scratched and clawed for everything I've earned in this business."

Check out the complete Dolph Ziggler interview online at MLive.com.

We noted the other day here on the website that there is major backstage heat on Dolph Ziggler but nobody seems to know why. Several WWE sources believe it's due to him not holding back in interviews with media outlets. He's been very outspoken and that doesn't go over well with management. We hope to have more on this shortly.

The blood clots in Ric Flair's legs have returned, although he has told people they're not as bad as before.

His representatives had told the people he's booked with that he has to cancel appearances that require him to fly, as the condition prevents him from traveling long distances.

We'll keep you posted as we hear more.

    WWE: Christian Suffers Concussion

    WWE: Christian Suffers Concussion

    The following is from WWE.com:

WWE Superstar Christian suffered a concussion during a match with WWE Champion Randy Orton on the Aug. 26 edition of Raw, according to WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann.

"We've pulled him out of all activity," said Amann. "His ImPACT scores are normal, but he’s still having some symptoms of fogginess and cloudiness."

He continued, "We are waiting for symptoms to get better until we perform an in-ring exertional challenge later this week at the Performance Center in Orlando. At that point, if he’s able to get in the ring and exert himself, and work without symptoms, we'll go ahead and clear him [to compete]."

Stay with WWE.com for more on the condition of the former World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Interested in Bill Goldberg Again
WWE Interested in Bill Goldberg Again

WWE is interested in trying to book former WCW and WWE Superstar Bill Goldberg to face Ryback for next year's WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view event in New Orleans.

Over the past few years, Goldberg has sent mixed signals to fans, stating that he didn't want to return to WWE, but recently he's been re-thinking those statements. Goldberg's son, who is now old enough to watch some of his matches, is one of the factors behind a return.

WWE has been featuring Golberg prominently, with a spot in the upcoming WWE 2K14 video game, and a 3-disc DVD collection on his career set to be released soon.

Rock Won't Be Back for WWE Until 2015?

It appears that at least for right now, WWE is going with the assumption that The Rock won't be back next year as a short-term character as he has been for the past three years.

According to information given to a major licensee this past week, they were told not to produce any merchandise involving The Rock. They were told he could be used as far as a group shot of Superstars goes but not to produce anything specific because he was not going to be featured until 2015.

This was taken as a sign that The Rock is not going to do WrestleMania XXX. We still don't know if Rock has said this or not to WWE officials. It could be that an assumption was made over the call to not merchandise him individually.

    Results WWE Smackdown 23/08/13

"Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.

The Smackdown video plays, and we're brought into the arena as Lilian Garcia asks the crowd to welcome Vickie Guerrero, the General Manager of Smackdown. Vickie is standing in the center of the ring. She welcomes the crowd to Smackdown. On behalf of the entire McMahon Family, as she has cleared the air with Triple H since she has left Monday Night RAW, it is with great excitement that she introduces the new WWE Champion, Randy Orton.

WWE Champion Randy Orton comes out to the ring to some boos from the crowd. Vickie Guerrero meets him on the ramp and goes for a hug, but he just stares at her. They then shake hands, and he enters the ring. Orton poses on the turnbuckle with the WWE Championship as the crowd gives him the old Bronx cheer. Orton says as the new WWE Champion, he promises to give the crowd what they want and what they deserve as champion. He promises that they will aspire to be him, and he will be a role model. What does a role model do? A role model tells the truth, and that's exactly what he did. He told the truth to everyone, especially to Daniel Bryan, when he successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract as he said they would never see it coming.

None of them, including Daniel Bryan, should be surprised at what happened. He should be surprised. Sunday night at Summerslam, he didn't know that Triple H was going to Pedigree Bryan. What would the people in the crowd have done? He's not one to pass up an opportunity literally lying right in front of him. Orton says he did not need Triple H's help, just like he didn't need The Shield's help on RAW. Although he greatly appreciates the support from the entire McMahon Family, he wants to ask the crowd for their support as well. The crowd boos him and chants "NO!" Orton says he's not only the WWE Champion; he's also the face of the WWE.

Daniel Bryan's music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a great reception. The crowd chants "YES" as he gets in the ring. Bryan says before he addresses the "face of the WWE," he wants to finish saying what he was going to say on RAW before Stephanie McMahon rudely interrupted him. It's a short message to John Cena. Bryan says, "John, thank you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to wrestle you at Summerslam. Thank you for being bold enough and courageous enough to wrestle with a torn triceps. Because even if I was only better than you for just one day, that opportunity allowed me to feel what it feels like to be the WWE Champion." Bryan says as far as Orton is concerned, it's time for that face to change. The crowd chants "YES!"

Bryan says the crowd has to understand. He doesn't look like Randy Orton. Orton is chiseled, tall, and he's pretty. The crowd laughs at Orton. Bryan says he can see why Triple H likes him so much. Orton is just so pretty and arrogant. Why shouldn't he be? He's been handed every opportunity here in WWE. He's created his own success. However, Orton's opportunities have come because his father was here, his grandfather was here, and he was given the genetic golden ticket to be here in the WWE. Bryan then sarcastically goes back to how he can't get over how pretty Orton is. Bryan asks the crowd to give it up for how pretty Randy Orton is. Bryan says he's so pretty, it makes him want to kick Orton in the face. Orton starts laughing as the crowd chants "YES!"

Bryan says he had to scratch and claw for every opportunity. He had to wrestle in every dirty high school gymnasium all over the country and world. He had to wrestle on staph infested mats all over the place and sleep in his car just to get an ounce of respect. He had to climb the ladder of success step-by-step. Bryan says he's not tall, and he certainly isn't pretty, but he can wrestle, and he can beat Orton. Bryan says he can beat him for the title. Bryan says he is entitled a rematch for the WWE Championship, and he wants the rematch to happen tonight. Bryan leads the crowd in a great "YES" chant.

Orton calls Bryan "short stuff" as he says he'll have to wait for Night of Champions. Orton stands close to Bryan as he raises the WWE Championship above his head. Orton turns to leave, but then he goes for an RKO. Bryan pushes him off, but Orton hangs onto the ropes. Bryan then dropkicks him over the top rope! Bryan yells for Orton to get back in the ring, but he just backs off. Bryan gets the crowd going with a "YES" chant as his music plays.

Christian will take on Alberto Del Rio in a non-title Summerslam rematch.

Curtis Axel is seen walking with Paul Heyman backstage. He'll be in action, next.

    -Commercial Break-

Vickie Guerrero is on the phone talking about how Daniel Bryan wasn't supposed to be out there. It was supposed to be Randy Orton's moment. She says someone needs to teach that little troll a lesson before hanging up. Wade Barrett comes up to her. Barrett says it seems like him, the McMahon Family, and her have something in common. They have a mutual dislike of Daniel Bryan. As a former champion, Bryan gets a rematch against Orton for the WWE Championship, but he wants to make sure that never happens. Barrett asks her to put him in a match with Bryan, and he guarantees that will be the last she will see of Bryan. Vickie says she could make it a No Holds Barred or Extreme Rules match, but she's going to have it be in a Steel Cage match. They both smile.

Cody Rhodes vs. Curtis Axel w/ Paul Heyman

A replay is shown of CM Punk viciously beating Curtis Axel down on this past Monday's RAW. Heyman was forced to watch his young client go down from afar.

The bell rings, and they circle the ring. Axel kicks him down in the corner before the referee backs him up. Rhodes catches him with a back elbow before applying a waistlock. Winner by Pinfall: Curtis Axel
    Match Rating: * 1/2

Paul Heyman stands in the ring with his client. Heyman says he stands before the crowd a man who is not just in pain, but agony. That agony is a direct result of the actions by CM Punk. The crowd chants Punk's name. Heyman says they will choke on their cheers. He's not talking about the obvious physical pain he's in. He's in emotional distress because a man whom he once considered to be his best friend and an athlete he guided to being the "Best in the World" has been reduced to being a sad, pathetic loser. Heyman says CM Punk was pinned by Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Instead of accepting defeat like a man and acknowledging his loss, Punk went off the rails.

Punk is on a downward spiral. His actions on RAW were befitting a madman. Without Paul Heyman in his corner, Punk never stood a chance against Brock Lesnar. Without Paul Heyman, CM Punk is lost, while with Paul Heyman, Curtis Axel has found himself. His client is filled with confidence. His client has notched many victories, which is why no one can defeat Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Championship.

Curtis Axel takes the microphone, and he says the problem is Punk doesn't deserve an Intercontinental Championship match. The man is so jealous that Heyman has been paying more attention to him that he assaulted him with a chair on Monday night. Axel says he wants to finish the job that Brock Lesnar started at Summerslam. Axel challenges Punk to a match live on Monday Night RAW. Axel says his future is better than Punk's. He's more athletic than him, and he has someone in his corner named Paul Heyman.

Week two from Norfolk, VA opens up with highlights from last week’s “Hardcore Justice” special.

Bully Ray and Tito Ortiz are shown arriving to the arena with Bully on the phone with “Brooke” and he reemphasizes that this week is about her.

Mr. Anderson approaches Bully and shakes Tito’s hand and Anderson tells Bully he wishes he would have told him about the Tito situation earlier. Bully asks Anderson when he got so sensitive and says this is club business, and Tito is with him. Bully says Anderson shouldn’t be so worried about that but she would be worrying about taking care of business against Main Event Mafia tonight.

Bobby Roode leads Bad Influence down to the ring and Roode congratulates Bully Ray on becoming a two time World Champion last week. Roode says Bully found a way once again to screw the system and found another friend along the way. He says that’s fine because now Bully is the man that has a target on his chest. Roode says he’s looking at the three men that will do anything to take that belt from him too. He says that one of them will walk into BFG and become the new World Heavyweight Champion whether he likes it or not. Roode says that he set the tables, literally, last week in the Tables Match to gain twenty points leapfrogging his way into second place in the BFG Series. Roode says they’re only getting started and then hands the microphone over to Kaz.

Kaz talks about his Ladder Match and reminds us that he beat AJ, Hardy, and Aries in that match. Daniels calls the faction “The Extraordinary Gentleman’s Organization” and says that they are two for two, and tonight he will complete the sweep in the Street Fight saying he’s the best “street fighter” in all of TNA.

Roode says they are 25% of the BFG Series but asks why they would want to just be 25% when they could be a full third. He says they’ve been thinking and they decided they need to add one more member to the group, and that member is none other than his former tag team partner Austin Aries. Roode says Aries knows him and he can trust him and Bad Influence. Roode says they have united as a group and if Aries wants a shot at winning the World Title back he needs to join them on their march toward BFG.

James Storm’s music interrupts Roode and the Tag Team Champions make their way down to the ring. Storm asks Roode if he really just said the word trust and he says he’s pretty sure that Roode told Bad Influence that they could trust him. Storm says he knows Roode and reminds us that he tagged with him for four years and says he trusted him. Storm says it’s not a matter of if he turns on Bad Influence, it’s a matter of WHEN he does it because when he’s done with them he’ll just toss them to the curb. Storm tells them not to look to him when he does it either because Storm is just going to look at them and say, “sorry ‘bout yo damn luck!”

Roode says that Storm is just jealous of him and he’s always been jealous of him. Storm says the only thing he’s ever jealous of is the guy that’s got a six pack and he’s only got two left. Storm says Roode knows him and he knows that he’ll tell a man what he’s going to do even before he does it. Storm says he’s going to go take off his hat, take a sip of his beer, and punch Roode right in his face. Storm says he’s never needed to get dressed up for a fight so he’ll be right back.

Storm takes his shirt off and his hat and then takes a drink of his beer while Roode screams at him. Storm punches Roode and then Gunner knocks Daniels out of the ring and tosses Kaz into a corner! Gunner clotheslines Kaz over the top and Earl Hebner runs out and rings the bell!

Daniel Bryan on Past Incident that Got Him Fired
Daniel Bryan on Past Incident that Got Him Fired

Daniel Bryan mentioned during an interview with SLAM Wrestling that back in 2010 he was fired from the WWE for spitting in John Cena's face when the Nexus attacked Cena on Raw.

"One of the reasons that I got fired in 2010 was for spitting in John's face; it was two things that got me fired -- it was choking Justin Roberts with a tie and spitting in Cena's face right before I kicked him in the head," Bryan said. "It was those two things."

This isn't part of the storyline to build for Bryan's SummerSlam match, as Bryan mentioned in a blog entry shortly after his departure that spitting in Cena's face was part of the reason he was let go.

"WWE is very serious about adhering to their PG guidelines, and apparently my actions during the NXT attack on John Cena, namely choking announcer Justin Roberts with his tie and spitting in Cena's face, crossed the boundaries of what is considered 'PG.' Perhaps the choking was too violent or perhaps the spit was too demeaning. I apologized for both immediately following the incident; but I would be a hypocrite if I apologized for putting everything I have into the attack. I would much rather have gone too far than to come up too short."

Several days after Bryan was release, Cena was asked about it during an appearance on Busted Open Radio.

"It stands where it is," Cena said. "I believe Bryan was given his release, and this is just my belief, it's complete speculation so basically you're going off my secondhand knowledge, it's something to do with violating our PG content agreement which is very serious… It was tough for us to get that [TV-PG] logo in the beginning. For us to violate that content agreement, we get in trouble with our TV providers, we get in trouble with our sponsors, it pretty much is not good business. I think that is the reason upon the Bryan Danielson release but on the same token, for a young man such as him to make an impact on the WWE Universe in that short a time, it says something about who he is as a person and where he belongs amongst our group."

    WWE Smackdown Results
    August 16, 2013
    San Jose, California
Report by: Mike Tedesco of Wrestleview.com

"Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.

The Smackdown video plays, and we go into the arena as Michael Cole and John "Bradshaw" Layfield welcome us to the show. Tonight, we'll see Big Show, Mark Henry, and Rob Van Dam take on The Shield. We'll also see Daniel Bryan take on Wade Barrett in a No Disqualification match.

    "We're here."

The Wyatt Family makes their slow walk to the ring illuminated only by the faint glow of an electric lantern. A video airs that recaps the Wyatt Family's assaults on Kane. Bray Wyatt will face Kane in a "Ring of Fire" match at Summerslam.

Bray Wyatt is sitting in a rocking chair surrounded by his "family" consisting of Erik Rowan and Luke Harper. Wyatt bids hello to the crowd, and he says the men standing behind him are his brothers. Wyatt says they have come to the conclusion recently that their actions have been misinterpreted, so he wants to clarify a few things. He wants to tell a special little story.

Once upon a time there was a special little boy. This boy went to school like all the rest of the children, but kids can be so cruel. Even though this boy was bigger than all the rest of the children, he would cower to their harsh words. They would call him "freak" and beat him up. He would run home crying all for being himself. Then one day this little boy decided he was going to change the world. He would go to school and everything would be different, but instead of changing everything, he ran away. He found another little crutch to hide behind. This crutch gave him a new sense of power. It allowed him to be whatever he wanted to be. This crutch was a mask. Behind the mask, he gave himself a new name. That name was Kane. Behind that mask, he allowed himself to live this lie, and the people eat it up for no reason.

Wyatt yells no more lies. He knows who he is and what he is. He walks on water just to prove that he can. He'd bite the head off a snake just to taste the poison. Wyatt promises this Sunday he will prove to Kane that one man's hell is another man's paradise. Follow the buzzards!

Wyatt kneels down in the ring and extends his arms laughing. All of a sudden, the ring posts explode with Kane's fire. The Wyatt Family waits for him in the ring, but he doesn't come down the ramp. As they look toward the ramp, Kane pulls Erik Rowan out of the ring from behind, and he's sent into the ring post. Luke Harper tries to attack, but Kane sends him into the steel steps.

Kane then looks toward Bray Wyatt, who laughs and extends his arms. Kane gets in the ring, and he taunts Wyatt by sliding his thumb across his throat. Wyatt charges, and Kane puts him in the corner. Kane punches away at him and uppercuts him down. Rowan and Harper try to help out, but Kane takes them out with punches. Kane grabs Wyatt by the throat, but he has to go back to work on Rowan and Harper. Kane throws Harper over the top rope, and Wyatt takes him down with a back elbow. Harper and Rowan beat Kane down as Wyatt arks his back to look at him upside down. Wyatt then drops Kane with Sister Abigail. Wyatt kneels beside Kane and yells "Follow the buzzards!"

    -Commercial Break-

Damien Sandow is out with his new Money in the Bank briefcase. Sandow handcuffs it to the ring post to prevent it from being stolen again. A replay is shown of Cody Rhodes interrupting Sandow's opportunity to cash in the contract last week on Smackdown.

    Damien Sandow vs. Christian

They circle the ring and go for a test of strength, but Sandow kicks Christian down. Sandow goes for a back suplex, but Christian flips through and gives him a drop-toe-hold into the ropes. Christian slingshots over the top rope for an uppercut, but Sandow moves. Christian avoids an elbow drop and connects with a missile dropkick for a two count. Sandow punches him and gives him a front suplex on the top rope. Sandow then knees him off the top rope to the outside. Sandow goes outside and puts him back in the ring for a near fall. Sandow drops some knees before applying a waist lock. Christian fights up to his feet, but Sandow clubs him in the back and throws him out of the ring. Sandow goes outside and whips him into the steel steps.

    -Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Christian trapped in a chin lock. Christian fights up and elbows out. Sandow quickly knees him in the midsection, gets out of the ring, and sweeps the feet. Sandow knees away at the face before standing on him while on the apron. Sandow gets in the ring and taunts the crowd. Christian quickly shoulders him in the midsection and goes for a sunset flip, but Sandow rolls through. Sandow misses a clothesline, and Christian takes him down with a back body drop. Christian gives him the ten punches in the corner before dropping him with a reverse DDT for a near fall.

Christian gets the crowd clapping before going to the top rope. Christian goes for a flying cross-body block, but Sandow moves out of the way. Sandow quickly comes back with a flipping neckbreaker for a near fall. Sandow charges him in the corner, but Christian slides through the ropes. Christian ducks a clothesline, gets in the ring, and hits a slingshot sunset flip for a near fall. Christian immediately follows up with a stiff right hand. Christian hits a flying elbow off the second rope, and he gets the crowd clapping. Christian goes for the Killswitch, but Sandow gets out and cartwheels away. Sandow sends him throat first into the ropes and hits a Russian leg sweep. Sandow goes for the Cubito Aequet, but Christian rolls away. Sandow goes to grab him, but Christian catches him with a small package for the win!

    Winner by Pinfall: Christian
    Match Rating: * 3/4

Sandow cannot believe it as Christian has his hand raised. Sandow tries to blindside him, but Christian ducks and hits him with a spear. All of a sudden, Alberto Del Rio attacks him from behind, and he kicks and punches away at Christian. Del Rio grabs a microphone. Del Rio says Christian will never get the gold. Reason Why Velvet Sky Wasn't On Impact

TNA Knockout Velvet Sky was scheduled to be in a match at last nights Hardcore Justice, teaming up with ODB to go up against Mickie James and Gail Kim. The match was changed to a triple threat between ODB, Gail, and Mickie, with TNA not acknowledging Velvets involvement with the match at all. TNA President Dixie Carter sent a direct message to a fan via twitter saying that Velvet was too sick to compete.

Thanks to DPJG724Fan for the tip via twitter.
