The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Bully Ray worked as an agent at the weekend TNA live events. This is another cost cutting move as one less person was sent on the road to work. Jeremy Borash handled the business related work the agent usually does while Ray did the wrestling related part of the job.
As we noted earlier,President of newly founded Japanese promotion Wrestle-1 Keiji Muto (Better known as The Great Muta) attended a meeting between TNA Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett. One source noted that the deal between the two promotions is complete and that the trip by Muto was just a formality to iron-out details.
The source went on to indicate that the idea of creating a working relationship between TNA and W-1 came from Muto himself who approached TNA following collapse of the New Japan alliance while still working as President of All-Japan. During that time, TNA instead opted to send talent to Pro Wrestling NOAH to test the waters of a TNA-NOAH relationship. TNA official Andy Barton who also oversees International television distribution was on hand to iron out specifics of using TNA talent, footage and the TNA name. This was required as TNA does not allow talent to wrestle televised events for other promotions and thus a special exception was required.
With All-Japan and Wrestle-1 down to approximately a dozen full time talent for each promotion following the split, it would make sense to bolster the promotion's roster by using big name foreign talent to bring in fans. The deal between both promotions is expected to send more TNA Talent overseas and may not necessarily send as many Japanese wrestlers to TNA. That may change for special events and if storylines permit.
There are some hopes that Wrestle-1 will be the biggest alternative to New Japan Pro which has seen a resurgence of interest since being purchased by Bushiroad. Currently NOAH's numbers have continued to decrease and more of their talent have announced their impending retirement or announced they have opted not re-sign with the company. Public perception of All-Japan is also at an all-time low with many feeling that the departure of Muto and wrestlers was a sign of a hostile takeover by All-Japan's parent company Speed Parnters.
Muto has also publicly stated that he is looking to create a new full-time training facility in order to train wrestlers, something All-Japan has not had in many years. This could very well be an indication that Wrestle-1 is looking to continue promoting wrestlng events for quite a long time. It is interesting to note that former TNA Star Akira Rajin better known to TNA fans as Kiyoshi did not follow Muta to Wrestle-1 and instead opted to stay in All-Japan. W-1 first show at the TDC hall is nearly sold out and will air Live on GaoraTV, the same network that airs All-Japan Pro Wrestling.

Randy Orton Attacked by Fan at WWE Event in South Africa
WWE star Randy Orton is fully equipped to withstand the body blows he incurs during the course of a 10-minute bout in the ring.
However, he wasn't prepared for what happened on Tuesday night, when a fan entered the ring and did his best impression of a WWE heel during a company event in Cape Town, South Africa.
WWE.com has learned that Randy Orton was violently attacked by an audience member during a SmackDown World Tour Live Event in Cape Town, South Africa, this evening. Footage of the attack was captured by a WWE fan and posted to YouTube, and shows the perpetrator striking Orton from behind. The matter is currently under investigation by the local authorities, and the South African fan is being held in jail pending criminal charges. The extent of Orton's injuries are unknown at this time.
Coming off an impressive performance to win the Money in the Bank briefcase earlier this month, Orton battled Big E Langston at the Grand West Arena as part of the WWE's international showcase.
The first part of the match went without a hitch. Orton took Langston out with an RKO and was celebrating his win when the man in question found his way into the ring.
Let's just say he wasn't looking to congratulate Orton for his performance.
Orton stood on the ropes with his arms raised in victory. As reported by David Kruse of PWInsider.com, the fan then jumped the railing and blindsided the wrestler with an uppercut to the groin. Undeterred by the fan's attempt to castrate him, Orton's in-ring celebration quickly turned to rage.
Orton then attempted to kick the fan and gave him the bird as security forcefully removed the attacker from the ring. Kruse reported that the fan might have also attacked Langston ringside during the show.
Security around the ring was beefed up following the attack.

As noted earlier, former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis posted numerous messages on Twitter slamming the Bella Twins real-life characters. This caused a negative reaction from fans on the social media outlet. Her boyfriend Mike Bennett posted a statement on Twitter defending her right to speak out.
"Funny that the same people who complain about what's wrong w wrestling, are the same ones who blast someone when they speak out against it," Bennett wrote. "Nobody gets anywhere by going w the crowd. stand up for what u believe in, or just keep ur mouth shut and follow blindly."
Bennett continued, "I respect someone who has the balls to speak up,and if that makes them bitter and jealous. What does it make the ones who r afraid to speak."
Kanellis then later added, "Family, fancy, friends, dogs, morals, and career are all things I will ALWAYS protect. No one has the right to do damage to my future."
Former WWE Diva and current First Lady of Ring of Honor Maria Kanellis took to her Twitter last night and had the following to say during the premiere episode of WWE Total Divas.
"Hahahaha ha!!!! The Bellas are vets?"
Maria then re-tweeted a follower's tweet, "The audacity these untalented broads have. Then you have Nattie who rocks and is an absolute sweetheart."
Later a follower asked, "Are the Bellas talented at anything?" Maria replied, "Yes. Can you guess what?"
She then continue to tweet about the The Bella Twins:
"Every time the Bellas say they are vets it makes me want to vomit!"
"N Bella, "We've been together for 5 minutes, lets get married." JC, "My divorce hasn't been finalized, I can't."
WWE published a poll question on their website asking fans which former Diva they would like to see return to the company.
Not listed among those choices is former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis, who claimed recently that the Bella Twins blocked her from returning to the company earlier this year. Despite not being listed in the poll, she acknowledged it on Twitter, "Awesome!! Haha... @WWE I'm with @ringofhonor now!! #ROH." Maria then noted that she voted for Victoria in the poll.
Meanwhile, Kanellis will be tweeting live during the series premiere of Total Divas 10PM tonight. In reference to a video that surfaced online of Nikki Bella asking John Cena about marriage on the reality show, Kanellis stated on Friday, "I love watching women beg for a ring. Haha..."
