Report by Richard Trionfo & PWinsider.com

We are in Corpus Christi, Texas and your announcers are Michael Cole and John Layfield.

Before our first match, Damien Sandow has something to say. He tells the halfwits of Corpus Christi hello. He wants them to say hello to their uncrowned World Champion and then he demands SILENCE. He is grateful that they have taken time from cow tipping and watching the bug zapper on the porch to be enlightened.

Damien tells everyone to behold their uncrowned World Champion and Intellectual Savior of Money in the Bank. He tells everyone that they are welcome.

Match Number One: Randy Orton versus Damien Sandow in a Battle of the Briefcase Battle

Orton with kicks and a head butt. Orton with a clothesline into the corner and then he gets the crowd cheering for him before connecting with another clothesline into the corner. Orton with a suplex for a near fall.

Orton stomps on the hand and foot and then he rakes his boot laces across the face. Orton with a snap mare but he misses the leaping knee drop. Sandow with kicks to Orton and then he chokes him in the corner. Sandow with a head butt and punches. Orton sends Sandow over the top rope to the floor.

Oton rolls to the floor and he connects with a European uppercut and then he gives Sandow a back drop driver onto the ringside barrier. Orton sends Sandow back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Sandow runs Orton into the turnbuckles and he connects with shoulders. Sandow kicks Orton and chokes him.

Sandow has a punch blocked and Orton with punches and kicks. Orton with a European uppercut and Sandow goes to the apron. Orton thinks about the IEDDT but Sandow drops Orton across the top rope and he gets a near fall as we go to commercial with Sandow connecting with a leaping knee drop.

We are back and Orton climbs the turnbuckles and he punches Sandow in the head. Orton with a European uppercut but Sandow with a knee to the midsection. We see Orton hitting a drop kick during the commercial break (ON THE WWE APP). Sandow drops Orton’s midsection on the top rope and he gets a near fall. Cody takes Damien’s briefcase and he walks away with it. Orton with an RKO for the three count.

    Winner: Randy Orton

After the match, Cody continues to hold on to the briefcase while Sandow recovers from the RKO he just received. Cody heads to the back.

CM Punk walks in the back and we go to commercial.

We are back and CM Punk is going to address the people of Corpus Christi.

Punk says that it is official. He got what he wanted and it will be The Best versus The Beast. Since Monday night, people have been telling him that he has fallen into Paul Heyman’s trap. That is what Paul wants everyone to think. For eight years, Paul was not just his best friend, he was a mentor, a teacher. He taught him about being the dirtiest player in the game.

You don’t exploit an enemy’s weakness, you attack it over and over and over again. That is what he is going to do to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. He says that he is an expert on what Brock’s biggest weaknesss is. Punk says that it was his biggest weakness. It was trusting Paul Heyman. Paul’s biggest weakness is his ego.

He is not going to stand out here and say that Paul did not stick his neck out when nobody would. Paul helped him get to the WWE, but he has been beating himself up because he realized that Paul didn’t do it for Punk, he did it for him.

Paul saw someone who everyone knew was going to succeed and Paul put his stamp of approval on him so Paul could say that he made Punk. Paul called him a thoroughbred last week and that was what Paul wanted, another horse in the race. Paul wanted two horses. He always wanted the Best versus The Beast and Paul thought he could be in both corner. Paul wanted it all and at SummerSlam he is going to take it from him.

Punk says that he will handle everything that Brock will dish out to him. Punk says that he will kick Brock in the face over and over and over until Brock is an unrecognizable pile of failure. Then he will have something for Paul . . .

Fandango’s music plays and Summer and Fandango make their way to the ring.

Fandango enters the ring and Punk hits him with the mic and then he connects with knees. Punk with a Go To Sleep to Fandango.

    We go to commercial.

Winners: Mark Henry, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso

    We go to commercial.

We are back with the WWE Rewind: The Daniel Bryan Gauntlet.

Michael Cole reminds us of the main events for Raw. Daniel Bryan will face Kane and John Cena will face Ryback in a Tables Match.

Vickie Guerrero is on the phone and she says that Teddy got what he deserved.

Alberto Del Rio enters the office and he says nice things about Vickie and Vickie asks Alberto what is going on.

Alberto tells Vickie that she owes him something because he is wrestling Rob Van Dam tonight. Since Brad Maddox allowed John Cena to pick his opponent at SummerSlam, he feels that it is only fair for him to get the same opportunity.

Vickie says that she will give Alberto one week to think about it.

Rob Van Dam enters the office and he says the answer is obvious. It is Rob Van Dam.

Alberto asks Rob if he thinks that he can come back after six years and get a title match against the Real Deal Alberto Del Rio. Van Dam has to prove himself.

Rob says that he can prove himself by beating Alberto in the ring tonight.

Damien Sandow is in the back and he is looking for Cody Rhodes but no one will help him. Sandow asks Sin Cara if he has seen Cody Rhodes since he absconded with his briefcase. He thanks Sin Cara for wasting his time.

Match Number Three: Rob Van Dam versus Alberto Del Rio in a Non Title Match

Van Dam with kicks and punches to Del Rio and the referee warns him. Van Dam with more kicks and punches but Del Rio goes to the floor. Del Rio gets back to the apron but he goes back to the floor to get inside Van Dam’s head.

Van Dam with a jumping spin kick to Del Rio when Del Rio tries to sneak up on Van Dam. Del Rio says ‘no mas’. The referee asks him to speak English while Del Rio complains about his ribs. Van Dam goes into the corner again and the referee pulls Van Dam out and Del Rio was playing possum and he kicks Van Dam in the head and gets the three count.

    Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio celebrates his victory and goes to the back.

Damien Sandow continues his search for Cody Rhodes and his briefcase and he has no luck. Sandow asks Booker T and Mark Henry. Sandow says that he knows that Mark is looking for the Shield, but he is looking for Cody and is briefcase.

Booker asks Sandow if he is kidding and Mark asks if he looks like a snitch. Neither have seen him. Booker and Mark say that they cannot stand a thief.

Sandow says that Booker should know something because he is the General Manager . . . well he used to be.

Booker cannot believe that Damien said that and Sandow walks away.

AJ Lee makes her way to the ring and she is followed by Big E Langston and we are going to find out what is going on in AJ’s mind. We go to commercial.

We are back with the Smack of the Night: Dolph Ziggler talking about letting AJ go as his girlfriend, AJ Lee’s reaction, and the kiss on the forehead.

AJ says that she is out here to clear the air. For everyone who thinks that she is a gentle nudge away from a mental breakdown because of what happened with Kaitlyn or if her good hearted, noble actions were misunderstood and her heart was stomped on by that heartless, cold blooded, selfish, no good son of a (you know what), Dolph Ziggler, you would be mistaken.

AJ says that she is fine. She is A-OK because she has the Divas Title. She is the Divas Champion and she will forever be the savior of the Divas Division. The title is never leaving her. To show how fine she is, she shows everyone the keys to Dolph’s home. She remembers the day that she got her copy. She was going to go into the home and break in and burn everything to the ground, but she is ready to let go of them.

Dolph’s music plays and he makes his way onto the stage.

Dolph asks AJ if she doesn’t think he has passed out hundreds or thousands of those keys. The locks have been changed a few times.

AJ calls Dolph ‘puddin’ and then she says that he is not the smart one. AJ has Big E get Dolph’s suitcase.

Dolph asks if AJ is being reduced to stealing from him. Everything in the ring is totally replaceable.

AJ tells Langston to hold the mic while AJ cuts up Dolph’s driver’s license.

Dolph says a day at the DMV would be a picnic compared to a day with AJ.

AJ then cuts up his passport.

Dolph says that there is a passport agency two blocks from his home and she owes him a favor for something he taught her. That can be replaced.

AJ goes for the next item to destroy and she takes his money out of his wallet. Then she cuts up his credit cards.

Dolph says that it is better to stay off the grid and then he says that he has money in his pockets and he doesn’t have any pockets.

AJ says that she is fine and then Dolph tells her that those aren’t voices in her head and it is the people in the crowd.

AJ starts throwing Dolph’s clothes around the ring. AJ continues to freak out while everyone calls her ‘psycho’.

AJ pushes Langston while he tries to calm her down.

From out of nowhere, Kaitlyn spears AJ. Ziggler goes to ringside and he gives Langston a Fameasser.

    We go to commercial.

We are back with the WWE Rebound and it is a look at the Daniel Bryan Gauntlet.

Match Number Four: Brodus Clay and Tensai (with Naomi and Cameron) versus Luke Harper and Erick Rowan (with Bray Wyatt)

Harper and Tensai start things off and Harper with a boot to Tensai followed by forearms. Harper with more punches. Tensai with punches but Harper with a back elbow. Tensai with a clothesline for a near fall and Rowan breaks up the cover. Clay goes after Rowan after he sends Tensai into the mat a few times. Rowan with knees and he sends Clay to the floor.

Rowan pulls Tensai into the corner and then Harper with a splash into the corner followed by a discus clothesline and Rowan is tagged in and he hits a splash for the three count.

Winners: Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

After the match, Wyatt gets into the ring while Harper and Rowan hold up Tensai. Wyatt grabs Tensai, kisses him on the forehead, and then hits Sister Abigail.

Wyatt gets on the mic and he tells Kane that he suspects that he will be looking for him. That is alright because he has never been too hard to find. If Kane needs him, he will be right here, with all of his friends. They have been waiting for Kane. He has always been waiting for him. He says to look to the sky and follow the buzzard.

    We go to commercial.

We are back and Vickie Guerrero is in her office and Damien Sandow enters demanding to know where Cody Rhodes is. Damien tells Vickie that he stole his briefcase. Vickie tells him to relax because she has contacted the authorities.

Damien says that he does not have time and he will find his briefcase tonight.

Zeb Colter has something to say before the next match. He asks if they are in Texas or Northern Mexico. Coming over here, he had to drive through Northern Mexico and he was willing to have his vehicle searched. The agent told him that there is no need to search his vehicle because he is a Real American.

He agrees with Zeb that we need to stop people from sneaking across our borders. We need more people like him and Jack Swagger. Just like that man told the truth last night, he has two truths. He wants his country back and Christian has overstayed his welcome.

Match Number Five: Christian versus Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter)

They lock up and Swagger with a waist lock take down and he does push ups on Christian’s back. They lock up and Swagger backs Christian into the corner and he pushes Christian but Christian punches back. Christian climbs the turnbuckles and he punches Swagger. Swagger tries to take Christian to the mat but Christian with a sunset flip attempt. Swagger does not go over and he picks Christian up by the side of the head.

Swagger sends Christian into the turnbuckles but Christian gets his feet up. Swagger with a shoulder tackle. Christian sends Swagger over the top rope to the floor and then Christian with a pescado onto Swagger. Christian rolls Swagger back in and Christian goes up top but Swagger climbs the turnbuckles and he sends Christian to the mat with a belly-to-belly superplex and Christian goes to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Swagger misses a charge into the corner and Christian with a pendulum kick. Christian goes to the turnbuckles for a missile drop kick. Christian punches Swagger followed by a forearm and then he slingshots to the floor and connects with an uppercut. Christian goes up top for a cross body but Swagger moves.

Christian blocks the Doctor Bomb and then Swagger blocks the Killswitch. Swagger tries for a belly-to-back suplex but Christian lands on his feet and he hits an inverted DDT and he gets a near fall. Christian prepares for the spear but Colter distracts him and Swagger tries to capitalize but Christian moves. Christian with a back elbow from the turnbuckles. Swagger with a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Swagger gets to his feet first and he goes for the double jump Swagger Bomb but Christian gets his knees up. Christian goes to the turnbuckles for a sunset flip but Swagger rolls through and applies the ankle lock.

Christian escapes and he sends Swagger shoulder first into the ring post. Christian with the Killswitch for the three count.

    Winner: Christian

After the match, Damien Sandow’s music plays and he storms to the ring. Sandow demands a microphone and he says that he wants everyone to know that he is issuing a warrant as soon as the authorities arrive. He wants Cody arrested for grand larceny and he demands that Vickie fire Cody because he is a thief.

We all know that there is nothing worse than a thief in the locker room.

Cody Rhodes appears on the TitanTron and he says that he knows that Damien has been looking all over the arena for his briefcase. It turns out that he is not in the arena. He is standing in front of the Gulf of Mexico. He tells Damien if he wants his case, he will give it to him, as long as he comes out to get it.

Damien runs to the back and Cole explains the geography of Corpus Christi.

Sandow storms through the back as we go to commercial.

We are back and Damien is still walking through the back. He leaves the building and he almost gets hit by a car.

Damien begs for Cody not to do anything. He tells Cody not to do anything stupid.

Cody asks Damien if he is calling him stupid and Damien says that he is not.

Damien reminds him that they were best friends and a tag team. He says that Cody was their leader and that Cody is smarter than him. Damien says that Cody is his intellectual superior. He tells Cody that he has better facial hair.

Cody likes what Damien says, and he tells Damien that he has earned it. Cody sends the briefcase into the Gulf of Mexico.

Cody wishes the Little Mermaid luck and he hopes the case floats.

Damien demands that someone help him. Damien says that he cannot swim. The briefcase goes under water and Damien jumps into the water even though he cannot swim.

Damien makes it back to dry land but he does not have his briefcase.

Damien tries to regain his composure as we go to credits.

More News On Jesse Sorensen's Release

    Via
    PWInsider.com

Since Jesse Sorensen announced on Monday that he had been released from his TNA contract, there's been a lot of outrage and resentment towards TNA for releasing someone who had suffered a broken neck working for the company. That negative response to Sorensen's release certainly amplified the #askdixie Twitter madness that took place over the course of the week when TNA President Dixie Carter began requesting questions from fans for her to answer. That request, obviously, came with the worst possible timing for the online audience.
Over the course of the last week, we've heard from a number of people within TNA about the circumstances leading to the decision to release Sorensen, so here is what we have confirmed from the TNA side of things.

As previously noted, Sorensen's release was made from a financial perspective, as the company is re-evaluating just about every employee and seeing where they can streamline things financially to better reflect the financial realities of taking TNA and turning Impact Wrestling into a full-time touring road show, instead of something based out of one location.
As we wrote earlier this week, Sorensen was being paid a wage much higher than someone in his usual position as a production assistant would have received. This was TNA trying to help Sorensen as he recovered from his broken neck. At the time of the injury, he was on a TNA deal that paid him per appearance. TNA later signed him to a monthly guarantee where he paid no matter what and he was paid during his recovery period without being asked to do anything.

When TNA went on the road, the decision was made that Sorensen would then put to work as a PA, basically making sure everyone who was needed for the taping had signed in and confirmed they were present, then bringing talents to different areas they were needed for filming of promos, vignettes, etc. So, he was being paid a good salary for 2-3 days' work a month. The mindset behind that, we were told, was to give Sorensen the chance to learn some additional production skills that he could take elsewhere and have some additional work under him.
When the financial cutbacks began, TNA found themselves in a position where they began cutting staff - wrestlers and otherwise It is an across the board situation - wrestlers, office, production, etc. are all in the process of being reviewed with some being let go and others being given more responsibility.
Sources indicate that when Sorensen came up for review, he was in a position where he was making more than the average TNA staffer that could also handle the responsibilities, but wasn't working full-time. So, it was a case of the company being stuck with a choice of cutting someone who could handle more for less or someone who was being paid a lot more to do very little. From a bottom line perspective, TNA's hands were tied. They were not in a position where they could afford, right not, to keep anyone who they couldn't prove was pulling his weight. In his position, Sorensen wasn't, not in comparison to others who would be cut in his place.
Now, some, including myself, have asked why Sorensen wasn't just given a different deal or asked to do more. We are told that Sorensen wanting to return to the ring was another factor that strongly worked against him while the company was reviewing him. There was a feeling within the company that despite the fact they were assisting him and helping him move on to whatever the next stage of his life would be, Sorensen was still pushing TNA to allow him to take independent wrestling dates and even let him back in a TNA ring. So, the company was trying to help him and assist him and he was more interested in getting back in the ring and potentially hurting himself, as opposed to learning more about the production aspect of the company. He wasn't trying to learn production; he was still trying to be one of the boys.

It should be noted that Sorensen's recovery is nothing short of miraculous as he was initially expected to be a permanent quadriplegic. Within days, however, he began being able to walk again and all accounts are that he can do anything he wants physically - but cannot take the physical punishment that comes with contact sports or an activity like pro wrestling. Sorensen, however, has pushed himself to return to the ring and has, at times, trained to return inside the ring we are told. This led to issues with TNA. There were numerous occasions where Sorensen was told he could not take dates without getting himself medically cleared, which just wasn't going to happen given the reality his circumstances. We are told that Sorensen pushing to be allowed to wrestle during the same time that he was being paid higher than normal rates to do very little certainly worked against him.

TNA sources also noted that when Sorensen was first injured, the company did everything in their power to assist him financially and with his medical bills, as well as flying in and paying for his mother to remain with him as he recovered, then signed him to a guaranteed deal in order to make sure he had money coming in.
The Sorensen release, by all accounts, was one that TNA did struggle with, especially considering the circumstances. He was well liked personally and TNA sources indicate that they wanted to help him all they could, but they were in a situation where they had to make hard choices, and one of those choices was that Sorensen needed to be released from his contract - especially when he was pushing for things the company wasn't willing to allow him to do.

It should be noted that Sorensen has been soliciting bookings on his Twitter account, so it would appear he is still planning to pursue a return to the ring. So, while he has not publicly stated he would be wrestling, he is certainly looking to make appearances, something that a few people in TNA have expressed concern about privately.
Note from Mike: The TNA side of things certainly provides a greater insight into why Sorensen was let go, but the bottom line is the Sorensen release sucks. It sucks for Sorensen. It sucks for TNA's public relations. It just sucks, period, but unfortunately, sometimes that is life. Companies have to make cuts that upset those that work there. It's not like they are slicing contracts apart with glee. They are in a position where they have to make their bottom line work or it's the beginning of the end. They aren't WWE where they have the infrastructure to take care of Sorensen. I don't like that he was released but after speaking to those in the company, I have a better understanding of the situation - but the reality is, it still sucks and I don't think even Dixie Carter would argue that.

Report by: Josh Boutwell of Wrestleview.com

Impact opens up with highlights from last week’s Destination X event and then we cut to the ring where the Main Event Mafia walk come down to kick off the show tonight. Everyone but Samoa Joe and Rampage are wearing suits. Joe is dressed for combat while Rampage is just wearing plain street clothes like he always does. Sting says that last week MEM had an incredible night and calls it one of his best nights ever in wrestling because they got to see Chris Sabin beat Bully Ray for the World Title. Sting says that MEM won the first battle in the war against Aces & Eights.

Kurt Angle says the pain that A&8 have caused over the past year is going to come back 10 fold and it’s only a matter of time, but tonight they’re here for a celebration not a fight. Angle says that MEM was reformed to take care of A&8 and to make sure that Bully Ray lost the World Title which was accomplished last week. Angle says the man that accomplished that is an amazing wrestler and then he introduces the NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Chris Sabin!

Sabin comes out with the World Title draped across his shoulder for the first time. Angle hugs Sabin as he climbs into the ring. Sabin thanks MEM for having his back and he says that if it wasn’t for them he may have not been able to win the belt. Sabin says he almost can’t believe he’s standing here as the World Champion and it feels like a dream. Sabin says this is reality and the reality of the situation is now he’s walking around with a giant target on his back. Sabin looks at Joe and Magnus and says that he knows that’s what they want, but he made history last week winning the World Title and he’s all about making history. Sabin says next week he’ll make history again because as his first “decree” as World Champion is he challenges the winner of the Ultimate X tonight to a match next week in a Champion vs. Champion match!

A&8s music interrupts Sabin and former champion Bully Ray walks out onto the stage with a man in a suit. Ray asks if we know who the man with him is and he says that it’s his attorney. The attorney says he’s been retained as legal counsel for Bully Ray and because of the huge injustice that he suffered they have been forced to file a lawsuit against TNA. He says that Sabin can solve this problem by handing the World Title back over to the “true champion” Bully Ray. He says that if he doesn’t the ramifications will go through the wrestling industry and he will crush TNA. The lawyer says not to make him rock their world and he will fight and win for his client. The lawyer says the sound everyone is hearing is the sound of the clock ticking and Sabin has until the end of the night to turn the belt back over.

JB & Tenay run down the card for tonight featuring the Ultimate X and a huge BFG Series Match pitting AJ Styles against Jeff Hardy.

Highlights from the X-Division matches last week are shown.

A vignette hyping up Greg Marasciulo is shown where he says that he’s been wrestling since the age of 15 and he’s here to take someone’s spot.

    ----COMMERCIAL BREAK----

In the back Hogan is on the phone with someone and tells the camera guy he doesn’t comment on pending litigation.

A vignette hyping up Manik is shown with him actually speaking without the mask. He talks about being homeless while trying to make it as a wrestler and getting robbed at gunpoint in Mexico. He talks about living in Japan in the same dorms that legends like Eddie Guerrero stayed in and getting beat with kendo sticks while training there. He says that Manik is an alter ego for him and offers him a symbol and something to live by.

    TNA X-Division Championship Tournament Finals
    Ultimate X Match
Manik vs. Greg Marasciulo vs. “The Playa of the Himalayas” Sonjay Dutt

Neither one of these men have ever held the X-Division Championship (technically the Manik/Suicide character has won it multiple times but not with TJ Perkins under the mask) so we will have a first time champion crowned after this one. Manik and Dutt have both competed in Ultimate X Matches in the past while this is Marasciulo’s debut in the UX. The new fairly ugly X-Division Championship is shown hanging from the cables as the wrestlers make their entrances. The new X-Division Title looks a lot like the NXT Title. As the bell rings Greg attacks Sonjay and shoves Manik to the side. Greg tosses Sonjay out to the floor and then charges at Manik but gets backdropped over the top to the ramp for his troubles. Manik then hits a Springboard Plancha off the top onto Greg on the ramp! Sonjay climbs up top but Manik pulls him down and destroys him with a European Uppercut. Manik then attempts to whip Sonjay into the ropes but Sonjay reverses it and Manik does his Spiderman impression hanging between the ropes. Sonjay connects with a Hurricanrana and then climbs up to the cables until Greg hits him from behind. Greg then attempts a clothesline but Sonjay ducks and shoves him into the turnbuckles. Sonjay sets up for a suplex but Manik comes running in with a clothesline attempt. Sonjay ducks the clothesline and hooks Manik as well hitting a DDT on Greg and a Flatliner on Manik at the same time! He whips Sonjay towards Manik but Manik moves and Sonjay hits the turnbuckles. Greg then charges at them both but eats a mouth full of Manik’s boot. Manik then charges at Greg but Greg kicks him in the gut. He sets up for a Powerbomb but Manik blocks it and then grabs Greg in a wristlock and quickly springs to the top dives into a Springboard Headscissors on Sonjay while also armdragging Greg at the same time lucha style! Greg begins scaling the cables but Sonjay Dutt comes back in and pulls Greg down and as he hits the mat Greg sells the knee again. Sonjay and Greg begin exchanging forearms and chops and then Sonjay whips Greg into the corner and comes flying in with a NASTY Running Mafia Kick! Sonjay then goes to the opposite corner but Greg is right behind with a Flying Knee! Greg then hits the ropes but runs right into a damn Superkick that I think legit knocked a tooth out of Greg’s head! Either that was a MASSIVE glob of spit that went flying or Greg is going to need some dental work done tomorrow! Both men collapse in the ring as Manik is still laid out on the ramp. Earl Hebner walks out and checks on Manik as Sonjay rolls out to the floor and begins scaling one side of the scaffold. Greg scales the other side. Greg holds onto the scaffold as Manik hangs from his legs from the cables! Greg stomps on Manik’s hands every time he tries to grab the belt! Greg pulls Sonjay through a hole in the scaffold and as he’s hanging upside down kicks him in the head! Greg finally comes fully down onto the cables and hangs upside down and begins fighting with Manik over the belt. Manik grabs both of Greg’s arms and pulls them off causing Greg to go crashing back first down to the mat! Manik pulls down the belt and falls to the mat winning the X-Division Championship!

Winner & NEW X-Division Champ: Manik via pulling down the belt

Replays of all the action are shown followed by Manik’s celebration with the belt.

Bully Ray talks with Mr. Anderson in the back about making Hogan squirm over the proposed lawsuit. He says that he’s highly offended that everyone in the wrestling world can sit back and praise Sabin for what he did to Bully. Bully says that the man hit Bully in the head with a hammer and asks what kind of man or athlete would ever sink to such a low to hit another man in the head with a hammer to win a match. Bully says that Sabin has no choice but to return the belt and he says he will sue everyone in the company and do whatever it takes to right this wrong. Bully tells Sabin to come out right now and hand the belt back over.

Chris Sabin comes down to the ring and Bully says he won’t say anything negative towards Sabin because he’s obviously come out to do the right thing. Bully says it’s obvious that Sabin is highly intimidated by him so it’s time to hand over his World Title.

Sabin says the real reason he came out is because he wanted to see with his own eyes what a “big fat crybaby” Bully has become. Sabin says he almost had his career taken away from him but he didn’t sit at home and whine and complain like Bully. He says it drove him to become 10 times greater than he ever had and now he’s the World Champion. Sabin says Bully must have been hit in the head one too many times if he thinks Sabin is really about to give the title up. Sabin says Bully will have to pry it away from his cold dead hands.

Bully says he’ll get the belt back by suing him and then he points to a bandage on his forehead and tells Sabin to look at what he did to him. Bully asks Sabin how he can call himself a man after hitting him with a hammer. Bully demands Hulk Hogan come out and return his belt to him.

Hogan comes out onto the ramp with a piece of paper. Hogan says he’s been back and forth with his lawyers reading the contract inside and out, and he does have a counter for Bully. Hogan says it comes with no negotiation and rips up the paper as Bully screams he can’t do that. Hogan says he can do that because he’s the GM and Chris Sabin is and will remain the World Champion! Hogan says fair is fair and per Bully’s contract he does have a rematch clause. Hogan says he understands Bully doesn’t want any outside interference from MEM so Ray will get his rematch on August 15th from Norfolk, VA and on that day there will be justice…HARDCORE JUSTICE! Hogan says Aces & Eights nor Main Event Mafia will be involved and Ray will get his shot at the World Title. Hogan says at Hardcore Justice the TNA Title will be defended inside a Steel Cage!

RUMOR* TAZ Attempted WWE Return, Shot down and Re-signed With TNA

Prior to signing a new contract with TNA, Taz tried very hard to get back in WWE. Specifically, he wanted to return in time for WWE’s recent RAW taping from Brooklyn, NY. Taz called several people in WWE, but it soon became obvious that Executive Producer Kevin Dunn had no interest in bringing him back.

During a recent production meeting, WWE EVP Triple H said, “TNA doesn’t have anyone we need.”

Report by: David Stephens of Wrestleview.com

The lights are out and a drumroll plays. Brad Maddox is in the ring to welcome us live to Monday Night RAW in Austin, Texas. There is a table set up in the ring and Maddox announces that RAW is going to kick off with a contract signing for the Summerslam Main Event.

Cena’s music hits first and he comes down to the ring and takes a seat at the table set up. Maddox asks why Cena chose Daniel Bryan when he could have chosen literally any wrestler on the active roster. Cena responds by saying that he chose Bryan because of Maddox. Cena says that Maddox gave him the choice and the crowd clearly wanted Bryan so that’s why he chose him. Maddox counters by saying that maybe Cena only chose Bryan because he knows he can beat him. Maddox tosses a few more accusations out about Bryan but then seems to lose his place. Cena tries to help him recover as Bryan’s music hits.

Daniel Bryan makes his way his way to the ring amidst the cheers of the crowd. Bryan says that the crowd clearly disagrees with Maddox. Brad asks Bryan why he thinks he was chosen. Cena doesn’t let him answer and instead gets to his feet. Cena is mad at Maddox for knocking Bryan for not being as large or strong as Cena.

Cena says that if size is a determinate then Maddox should go hand the belt to The Great Khali. Cena tosses the belt towards Maddox. Cena turns to Bryan and says that he received the Title opportunity because he deserves it. Cena says we don’t know if Bryan would have been in this match if he didn’t pick him, but that doesn’t matter because he is in the match. Gotcha.

Cena says that he is not just going to hand the Title over to Bryan. He is going to fight with everything he has. Forget how good Bryan might be, the best won’t be enough to be Cena.

Bryan starts to talk but Maddox interrupts and announces that the match is official. Bryan tells him not to interrupt. Maddox wants to know if Bryan is sure he wants to compete in the match. Maddox is going to give Bryan a match on RAW to prove to his detractors that he has what it takes. Maddox then corrects himself and says that Bryan will be in multiple matches tonight on RAW. Maddox doesn’t think Bryan will be up to the challenge. Maddox and Bryan close the segment by going back and forth shouting yes and no.

Big Plans Ahead For Indy Wrestler? Possibly TNA or WWE

Earlier today, independent wrestler Brittney Savage tweeted a very cryptic message, stating that after something big happened to her, retirement is no longer on the horizon.

    Brittney tweeted:

"Due to something big that just happened for me, I will not be retiring from wrestling, unless things fall through"

She has been retweeting numerous tweets about her going to the WWE or maybe TNA. Back in June, Brittney announced that she was planning to retire from the wrestling business.

Guess we will have to wait and see what the future holds for Brittney Savage.

    WWE Smackdown Results
    July 19, 2013
    Providence, Rhode Island
Report by: Mike Tedesco of Wrestleview.com

"Then. Now. Forever." The WWE video leads us into the show.

The Smackdown video plays, and they cut to the arena where Teddy Long is standing in the middle of the ring. Long welcomes the crowd to Smackdown. As most of the crowd already knows, Mr. McMahon has hired a new General Manager for Monday Night RAW. His name is Brad Maddox. Long doesn't know much about his qualifications, but they've got to be better than Vickie Guerrero's. Mr. McMahon knows what he is doing, and he'll be here tonight. Rumor has it that he will be giving him a job evaluation just like he gave Vickie Guerrero. Long asks the crowd if he's been doing a good job, and he gets a nice response. Long asks if they would like to see him as the permanent General Manager, and that gets another decent response. Long says he wants the crowd to get ready because this is going to be a great Smackdown.

Booker T's music hits, and the actual Smackdown General Manager makes his way to the ring after a few months off. Booker thanks Long for filling in for him in his absence. He's done a hell of a job. He's back now, and he's ready to fulfill his GM duties. If they want that, then the crowd can chant, "Now can you dig that, SUCKA?"

Mr. McMahon's music hits, and the Chairman of the WWE makes his way to the ring to a great reception. McMahon gets the crowd to cheer for the Hall of Famer Booker T. Then he gets them to cheer for Teddy Long. McMahon says he's out here to clear up the confusion between them and also make sure there is no dissension. There can only be one person in charge of Smackdown. It's important for him to make that decision. McMahon asks if it were Teddy Long, what match would he make to impress them? Long says Curtis Axel will go one-on-one with Chris Jericho for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Booker T doesn't look happy with Teddy Long. McMahon asks him what kind of match he would make. Booker says it would have to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio, going one-on-one with the winner of the All-Stars Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Randy Orton. McMahon says he has a tough decision.

The RAW theme song hits, and Brad Maddox, the RAW General Manager, jogs down to the ring asking for a word with Mr. McMahon. He wants to talk to him before he makes a decision. Maddox says McMahon already made him the General Manager of Monday Night RAW. Now he should make him the General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown. Maddox says he was already going to suggest both matches that it took the two of them to come up with. Maddox says he's very privileged to announce that tonight will be the Smackdown return of Rob Van Dam. The crowd chants "RVD."

McMahon takes some time before announcing the new General Manager of Smackdown. A drumroll hits, and McMahon announces the new General Manager as Vickie Guerrero! Vickie makes her way to the ring to a chorus of boos, and she hugs McMahon. Booker T, Teddy Long, and Brad Maddox don't look too happy.

Vickie thanks Mr. McMahon. Vickie says the people are the reason that she was voted out of the job on RAW. With that, she hates each and every one of the fans. Vickie says she's back, and she's back with power. There is nothing that anyone in the ring or out of it can do about it. She says, "I am Vickie Guerrero, and I am the permanent General Manager of Smackdown!" The crowd boos this as she leaves the ring. Booker, Long, and Maddox discuss what just happened in the ring.

Michael Cole and John "Bradshaw" Layfield discuss the matches that will happen tonight. We'll also see Paul Heyman be a guest on Miz TV.

    -Commercial Break-

In the ring, Ziggler gets on the microphone. Ziggler says he dumped his girlfriend AJ last Monday, and he says he's sorry. Ziggler puts his head down and pauses for a few moments. Ziggler then smiles and says he's sorry he didn't do it a hell of a lot sooner!

Backstage, AJ is seen getting emotional. She appears to be crying. She walks backwards into some steel chairs and begins throwing them around. She is screaming and crying. Langston walks up to her and tries to stop her, but she just slaps away at him. He finally gives her a bear hug to stop her crying. Langston then holds her in his arms, and he looks like he's going to kiss her. Langston bends his head to kiss her on the lips, but he then stops and kisses her on the head instead. Paul Heyman will be a guest on Miz TV, next.

    -Commercial Break-

The Miz is in the ring, and he welcomes the crowd to the most must-see WWE talk show in history, Miz TV. The Miz says his guest cost CM Punk the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and a chance at the WWE Championship. He asks for a warm welcome for his guest, Paul Heyman.

Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring to boos from the Rhode Island crowd. As he makes his way to the ring, footage is aired from this past Monday's RAW where Heyman brought Brock Lesnar out to viciously assault CM Punk. Miz looks at Heyman with disgust. Miz has tons of questions he'd like to ask, but he knows that Heyman would lie and bend the truth. Miz has nothing to say to him nor ask him. Heyman is beneath contempt. Miz gives him the floor to say whatever he wants.

Heyman thanks "Mr. Mizanin" for his castigation of his perceived lack of ethics. Heyman says he's merely an advocate, but his client Brock Lesnar is a merciless emissary of suffering with his sights set squarely on CM Punk. Lesnar has no conscience whatsoever, but he must confess this is painful because he still has love in his heart for his former best friend. The crowd was chanting "CM Punk." Heyman offers a public plea to CM Punk. Heyman tells him to stay down and go home. Heyman tells him to leave the WWE Universe behind, lick his wounds, and don't ever even think of getting back in the ring again. If he ever shows his face again, Brock Lesnar is going to take his actions as a spiteful act of provocation. He will be dealt with by the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar!

The Miz stares at him before doing his "really" thing. Miz says that Heyman must be enjoying this. Miz says he understands why Heyman lies. When he tells the truth and reveals himself, it's even uglier than the liar we've come to know and hate. Miz says he's revolted by Heyman's face, tone of voice, and frame of mind. He's revolted by the fact that he swore on his children and still lied. Miz drops the microphone and walks off.

Heyman picks up the microphone, and he says before Mr. Mizanin leaves, he'd like to introduce the man who beat him at Money in the Bank, the reigning, defending Intercontinental Champion, Curtis Axel. Sandow quotes Mahatma Gandhi by saying, "The weak cannot forgive. Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong." Sandow wants to clarify something. This past Sunday in the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship contract, it was every man for himself. Everyone knew this. Despite what they have all been saying and chanting, he did not screw Cody.

That begs the question of why his best friend did what he did on RAW. Footage is shown of Sandow losing to Christian on RAW before being attacked by Cody Rhodes. The crowd begins to chant "Cody." Sandow says he's not going to react to this the same way the slack jawed mouth breathers would. He's not going to condemn Cody nor spit hateful rhetoric in his direction. That is what separates the Intellectual Savior from the unwashed masses. That is what separates knuckle-dragging half-wits from the beacon of enlightenment such as himself. Sandow asks for silence. He and Cody are gentlemen, civilized, and best friends. Sandow wants to give Cody the opportunity to come out here, explain himself, and get past this.

Cody Rhodes' music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a nice reception. Sandow keeps the microphone, and he says no explanation is necessary. He just wants to looks Cody in the eye and forgive him. He forgives him for acting out in anger and everything else. Sandow says he may have prevented him from becoming Mr. Money in the Bank, but he'd like to extend a metaphorical olive branch. Sandow bestows upon him the honor of being the protector of the case. Until he decides to cash it in, Cody will be responsible for it's protection and safety. Sandow says Cody has earned it.

Rhodes holds the briefcase before thanking him. Rhodes then bashes it into Sandow's head, and he kicks away at him. Sandow quickly bails from the ring. Rhodes throws the briefcase out of the ring, and it lands at the top of the ramp. Sandow quickly grabs it and leaves the ring.

    Officials High on Xavier Woods

    - WWE had Xavier Woods as one of the people speaking to media at the Performance Center last week. Besides how well spoken Woods is, WWE officials are high on him because he has a PHD. Woods graduated from Furman University while wrestling for TNA and later got his Masters. He’s currently working on his dissertation while training in WWE developmental. Even though Woods would be an independent contractor and not an employee, WWE has allowed him to be part of a tuition reimbursement program, which helps out a lot given developmental talents don’t make much money.

    Ryback's Eating

    - Ryback recently spoke with FOX Sports in Australia to promote WWE's upcoming tour there. He revealed that he eats 8-10 times per day:

"Chicken, brown rice – I’m big on complex carbohydrates. I’m pretty bland in what I eat, I’ll eat the same things over and over again – chicken, turkey, tuna salmon and protein shakes. I try to eat well every meal. Every meal I try to better myself that’s the goal and I try and stay away from foods that are not going to benefit me. I have to constantly feed myself because of the schedule I’m on and now how much physical activity I'm doing whether I'm in the weight room, doing cardio vascular conditioning or flexibility program, I’m constantly doing something so I have to keep my calories in me so I have my size and strength and power in me when I get into the ring. You have to feed the machine ... I actually feel like I have gotten in better shape since I have been on the road."
