HuluPlus brought us another ten or fifteen minutes of original sports entertainment programming on Feb. 14, 2013 in the form of another episode of WWE Superstars.
Those were packed in with many of the same replays that our own C. J. Bradford was so thrilled with on Wednesday night (Feb. 13). I mentioned it in that thread, but does WWE have data that shows that airing the same segments three or four times a week draws eyeballs? I imagine they must, but I still find it shocking that anyone who seeks out Superstars hasn't seen Raw in some form, or won't see Smackdown.
Alas, it is what it is.
The Prime Time Players entrance is blaring and Titus O'Neil has a whistle and a microphone, so things ain't all bad.
O'Neil delivers a good but rote heel promo focused on his athletic career at the University of Florida and their history of success against the schools of Tennessee (so I guess this match was filmed Monday night in Nashville).
Justin Gabriel defeats Titus O'Neil
in approximately seven minutes via pinfall
Gabriel gets a decent babyface pop. He tries to work that by mocking the "Millions of Dollars" dance and stuns the crowd into an awkward silence.
Our usual Superstars booth crew of Tony Dawson and Matt Striker do a couple of good things right off the bat. They put over the Big Show's WMD punch to Striker from Raw. Then, they continue the recent trend of providing backstory to the match by saying that it was made after the South African and Peyton Manning fan spoke up for the Tennessee Volunteers alum during one of O'Neil's tirades about Florida's football dominance. It's cheesy, but I'd rather have corny backstory than none at all.
Typical match structure to start, as the Werewolf of Capetown dodges and dances past the big man's offense including the obligatory spot on the floor to lead into commercial. Titus turns the high flier inside out on a clothesline to establish dominance.
O'Neil remains in control for the bulk of the contest and looks great with an array of moves including a spinning side slam, a backbreaker/overhead toss combo, elbows to the kidneys and European uppercuts to the back of the head. It's not a long match by any stretch, but I think there was only one rest hold. The PTPer can flat out go.
Charles Robinson warms this ref mark's heart by reacting to every move the boys make: awe for Titus' power and shock at Justin's comeback attempts. A couple of the latter are thwarted in cool spots; most notably one where the former defensive back catches the daredevil with a boot to the face when he leaps to the top rope from the apron.
Good triumphs over evil, however, when the International Airstriker connects on an enziguri from the outside and quickly capitalizes with his 450° splash finisher for the three count.
It's Raw recap time (part 1)! All of the Shenaback squash of 3MB is shown, followed by The Shield promo and brawl. It's been said a lot already, but, my goodness, do all three men nail there performances in that Shield segment.
Hey, look! It's the women's titleholder!
Kaitlyn defeats Natalya
in approximately three and a half minutes via pinfall
Everyone is all smiles here, so it looks like it's face v face. Natty does try to act a little cocky, though. Just enough to make you really depressed about how they use her.
Speaking of which, Dawson talks a lot about her Valentine's Day date with Khali. There was hot yoga and a candlelight dinner. I...don't have words.
The ladies work an enjoyable almost-comedy match for a minute. They grapple, respectfully break holds and when the Anvil's baby girl goes for the first pin she does so by sitting on Kaitlyn and laughing when she's bucked off.
Anytime Kaitlyn has to do anything other than hold her opponent, things look in danger of going wrong. There are a couple of sharpshooter attempts where Natalya has to do all the selling of both trying to apply the hold and how it's being fought off. The roll-up counters look even worse.
No sooner does Dawson shift the narrative from the Punjabi playboy's V-Day mack attack to the Chickbuster's idolatry of Goldberg then we get a slam and a spear and the champ wins.
The show wraps with the full Rock promo, brawl with CM Punk, belt theft overrun.

Backstage News on The Undertaker's WWE Status Posted by Steve Carrier on 02/14/2013 at 08:57 AM
- Regarding The Undertaker's status, there is still nothing definite. If there has been a final decision made, it is being kept very quiet.
As noted, Taker was not backstage at Monday's RAW from Nashville, even though he was photographed at a Nashville Predators hockey game the night before. However, Taker reportedly did have a meeting with Vince McMahon while in town.
It's said that Taker does not want to come back and have to fake his way through a mediocre match, which is why his status is up in the air. He had major shoulder and hip surgery over the past year which made it impossible for him to do any serious training for a long time. Taker couldn't lift upper body because of shoulder rehab and couldn't do lower body because of the hip rehab.
As of a few days ago, the internal word was that Taker is still "planned" to face CM Punk this year. People close to Taker believe that if he doesn't do WrestleMania 29, then his career is not over and it would simply mean he didn't have enough time to fully recover from everything. The expectation is that he would like to do WrestleMania 30 in 2014 and that the show could be built around his farewell since he will be 49 years old at that point.
- WWE has been negotiating with Olympic wrestler Jaime Espinal, who won a silver medal at 185 pounds in 2012. Espinal was one of only two Olympic medalists in any sport from Puerto Rico. Recruiting Espinal is part of WWE's movement to try and create ethnic and national heroes going forward. Espinal has interest in both WWE and MMA.
Impact Wrestling starts with a video package concentrating on Kurt
Angle bringing in Wes Brisco and Garett Bischoff. Aces & 8s have been after
him for months and he finally gets a shot against Mr. Anderson in a Steel Cage.
Wes and Garett turn on Kurt and join the group. The video turns to Austin Aries
and Bobby Roode. They want all of the championships. They just won the TNA Tag
Team Titles what is next? Aces & 8s are still out there while Bully Ray
gets reinstated. He and Sting beat the group in a Tables Match last week, but
will they get revenge?
The video ends and the camera shows the Wembley
Arena from London. The crowd is huge and they are standing on their feet. Music
hits and the show starts with Hulk Hogan! Hogan comes out and the crowd roars.
He makes his way to the ring and grabs a microphone. He starts off by saying
that there are some TNA Maniacs right here in London. The whole crowd starts
chanting, TNA, TNA, TNA! Hogan heard noise when he was slamming giants and
when he was winning titles, but this is pretty sweet. They got business though.
Since they are in London, they have some pretty big stuff right now. They need
someone to fight for the TNA World Title. Hogan found 8 guys and there will be 4
matches. It will be RVD vs. James Storm. Also, Daniels (aka Super-hero) vs.
Magnus. Then, the human cyborg Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe!
Finally, Bobby
Roode vs. Austin Aries! At the end of the night, Hogan will be listening to the
crowd and watching the matches. At the end, he will pick the #1 Contender to
fight Jeff Hardy at Lockdown. There is still more business. This one is nasty.
Its Aces & 8s. They called out the entire TNA roster to end the war at
Lockdown. Hogan thought about it for half a second and then called his brother
from another mother to see if he would be the leader. Lets hear from him now!
Sting!
Stings music plays and here comes The Icon! He grabs a mic and
says it is Show-time in London!!! He thinks Hulk agrees that these fans are some
of the best in the whole wide world! Now onto those scumbags Aces & 8s. They
made the challenge and it is accepted! Sting will look up and down the roster
and find 3 great guys to be on his team! They will tear them apart. What will
Aces & 8s do when they run wild on them? Stings music plays and he and Hulk
celebrate and taunt in the ring.

TNA World Hvt. champion Jeff
Hardy is re-energized, focused, and willing to speak up behind-the-scenes in
TNA, according to his brother Matt Hardy during an exclusive interview on the
February 8 PWTorch Livecast.
Matt painted a picture of a different,
more-committed Jeff Hardy who inked a two-year deal with TNA earlier this month
to remain one of the promotion's top stars as they expand to bigger arenas for
Impact television.
"It's a huge step forward for them growing into
somewhat of a bigger wrestling company and one day being on the radar of WWE,"
Matt exclusively told PWTorch editor Wade Keller. "I definitely think he's very
passionate about not only what he's doing, but making the company he works for
better."
Matt says that Jeff recognizes the pressure placed on him as the
face of TNA going into a new era. However, Matt believes Jeff is much-better
prepared to handle this pressure than earlier in his career.
"I think he
knows he's the flagship and face of the company right now. Obviously, he wants
it to succeed. I think he takes a lot of pride in being the face of the company
and it doing well. So, he wants to do whatever he can to excel," Matt
said.
"Jeff never worked out when we were on the road and he ate
whatever. Now, Jeff eats super-strict, he gets up at 7:00 or 7:30 in the
morning, he runs three or four miles, and he works out. It's insane. Like, I've
never seen him like this. Everything in his life kind of pointed to him making
these changes and he takes it very seriously."
Although Jeff has always
been an individual and free spirit, Matt says his TNA champ brother has taken it
upon himself to develop as a leader, breaking out from his reputation for being
so laid-back that he allowed Matt to do everything when they were a tag
team.
"When he comes home, he wants nothing to do with wrestling, but
when he goes to wrestle now, he's very into his matches and he wants to make it
good," Matt said. "Before, when we teamed for so many years, he would go, 'Matt,
tell me what to do and when to do it.' (laughs) But, now, he's so hands-on and
his mind is so good. He's such a good worker, he's smarter than he's ever been,
and he's very good about picking and choosing his stuff. And, he's taking such
good care of himself. It's awesome to see, especially from my
standpoint."
Part of being a leader is Jeff deciding he has enough clout
and credibility in TNA to speak up when he feels it's necessary. Matt says it's
new territory for Jeff, but a sign of his maturity.
Asked if Jeff would
take a stand if he felt like it, Matt said, "Absolutely, yeah." Hardy continued,
"He doesn't care - he will definitely speak up. He's always been kind of
laid-back or a go-with-the-flow type guy, but now that he's a dad and with the
things he's been through, he's very much like, 'No, I don't think this is cool.'
Or, 'This should be a different way.' Or, 'I'm not going to do this.' Where,
back in the day, he would let a lot of that slide."
Can Jeff maintain the
improvements to his personal and professional habits? Matt says that he believes
Jeff is locked in after his recent trials, which include a September 2009 drug
arrest and the infamous Victory Road 2011 PPV match with Sting that led to him
leaving TNA.
"It's amazing. Reby has just known him since he's been
super-responsible Jeff, and I'm just like, 'You can't imagine just how different
he is.' It's great to see," Matt said.
"And, it's a testament to how good
people can change. Jeff's always had the best heart of anyone you would ever
meet, but it's just a testament to people really do change and evolve and
mature. Sometimes it just takes different circumstances to get people there.
Hopefully they do. Sometimes people get their stuff together or they end up
failing alltogether."
This is how you make a championship feel important, ladies and gentlemen.
The Feb. 13, 2013 episode of WWE NXT on HuluPlus opens with a video package running down the history of the month-long tournament to crown the first ever NXT tag team champions. Starting with a visit from the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, to announce the creation of the belts and kick off the tourney, with highlights from every match, including every tournament mark's dream...the bracket:
Tony Dawson and William Regal sit at the announce table with the straps as we get ready for our first match of the night.
Mike Dalton versus Axl Keegan
As I start to jot down some notes about the bleached-blonde Dalton actually getting an entrance and showing some personality, I notice that Summer Rae is back as a ring announcer after it looked like she had switched to being a wrestler the past few weeks.
No sooner has Axl begun his entrance than Paige runs past him on the ramp and chases Summer from the ring. She grabs the microphone and reiterates her threat to hold up the show unless she gets a match with the leggy blonde former/current spokesperson. I swear, her shrieky and quivery lipped comes across more bratty toddler than rebellious teen. The bearded Keegan attempts to talk her down and gets slapped in the face for his efforts. NXT Commissioner Dusty Rhodes is out to tell the Anti-Diva that he does not negotiate with terrorists and instructs his referees to remove her from the ring.
Ms. Rae emerges from the back to talk smack from behind Rhodes and proclaim herself the "first lady of NXT". Paige charges her again, and the American Dream is caught in a developmental diva sammich. The women are pulled apart and Paige is acting like her left arm is hurt as we go to break.
In the back, a doctor is examining the British diva's shoulder. Screw Dalton and Keegan, apparently.
Corey Graves defeats Alex Riley
in approximately six minutes via tapout
Every time we see Riley we're told that he has all the tools to succeed: the look, athleticism, mic skills, etc. He was around the main event as Miz's lackey for a long while, came out on top in an upper mid-card feud against the Awesome One fresh off his WWE championship run...and now he jobs in developmental. Maybe he pissed off Cena, I don't know. But, whenever I feel like bitching about how my favorite mid-carder is getting buried or screwed, I'm going to apply the A-Ry test'. Would I rather Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Damien Sandow, hell, Michael McGillicutty be in Alex's position, or am I impressed that they survive where they are?
Seriously, y'all. Alex Riley is cautionary tale we should tell young smarks.
I can not get over my issues with Corey Graves' look. This week, he complements the toughness-diluting belly button tattoo with a bleach-splattered, acid wash-looking sleeveless denim vest that I last saw on a girl in my sophomore chem lab back in 1992.
This match builds off some tension during a backstage interview and Corey's post-match attack on A-Ry after his loss in the tag tournament. They continue the theme as a Riley attacks angrily with his arsenal of drop kicks and splashes to set the early pace.
A little of the old back and forth after a nice heel gesture from Graves in offering a handshake as prelude to a sneak attack. CG leads for a while with kicks, stomps and ground and pound before an arm-in neck crank allows them to catch their breath.
Alex battles back and reverses a standing suplex, then hits a spinebuster for two. But Corey lands a spear to the knee and applies an inverted figure four leg lock that Regal says he hasn't seen before. Riley quickly taps, for the third time in his last two NXT appearances.
Dusty has granted Paige a match with Summer Rae; video rolls of the brunette having her shoulder taped.
Recap-a-gogo comes to NXT! Time is filled with a spot for Sunday's Elimination Chamber matches, and then a replay of the segment that opened the show.
Summer Rae defeats Paige
in approximately two and a half minutes via pinfall
The former Lingerie Footballer is out first to the kind of lyric-free, poppy music that all divas not named Paige get these days regardless of face/heel alignment. I don't think she's gorgeous, but she has a non-enhanced athletic body type and Stacy Kiebler legs. I do believe that the blonde has the elusive "it", though. She carries herself like she belongs and does a lounging, top rope centerfold pose during her ring entrance that begs for a crowd reaction.
Paige screams and runs out to her usual pop and immediately lunges at Summer, punching and pulling her hair. The ref pulls her off, and that allows SR to start her assault on the injured left arm, which she does through twisting and striking before applying an arm scissor.
Hell n' Boots, as Regal refers to his countrywoman, gets in her lone piece of offense off of a roll-up when she slams Rae's face to the mat by her hair. The tanner woman rolls out of the ring, pulls Paige's face into the lower rope and them re-enters the legal area to hit an impressive spinning round house kick for the victory.
Sasha Banks is delivered another note from her totally-not-Alicia-Fox-planning-an-ambush secret admirer. It puts off their meeting for another week, despite what we were promised last week. It's okay Saash, I'm still waiting for El Local versus Xavier Woods, too.
We're also teased with the promise of an interview with Tyson Kidd next week, where he will address his future. Interesting...
Oliver Grey and Adrian Neville defeat The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)
to become the first NXT Tag Team Champions in approximately fifteen minutes via pinfall when Neville pins Harper
Neville and Grey enter first, to a big screen video featuring the high flier's name and highlights, so I assume it's his music, too. No mention of the dreadful "British Ambition" team name they were hawking last week. Regal mentions the British Bulldogs and plays up the importance of tag team wrestling to Englanders and vice versa.
Bray Wyatt leads his 580 pounds worth of scary rednecks to the ring with his standard brief but chilling entreaty to "follow the buzzards" to their latest victims.
The commish is in the ring with the belts, lending a different kind of air to the main event. I guess Jim Ross is no longer doing play-by-play for NXT though, which is a shame. Dawson is improving, but...
Grey and Harper start off with just a sampling before our first break. The young gun dumps the bearded indie vet to the outside and splashes onto him, prompting Wyatt to stand from his rocker and jaw at them. Foreshadowing?
The Brits work a series of quick tags that give us our first sense of how WWE will handle longer Neville matches. To this point, he's been in squashes and tag matches that have only shown his big spots. He's doing just fine with elbows, kicks and a sleeper hold amidst aerial dodges and dropkicks.
Oliver stays in when Luke attempts to dump him from the ring after a big drop kick. Bray pulls him from the apron. This draws the ire of Dusty, who expels the Family's leader from ringside.
Harper and Rowan isolate the larger Englishman and work a good combination of strikes, power moves and rest holds. Dawson and Regal do a great job here calling the action, putting over the Wyatt Family gimmick by speculating on how Bray's absence will affect his charges and playing up the importance of NXT championships by pointing out that the only two men to hold one (Seth Rollins and Big E Langston) are currently regulars on WWE television.
Grey manages to "Hulk Up" and crawl to his corner while Harper lands elbow drops on him. The Man that Gravity Forgot enters with rapid elbows and kicks, followed by a sweet spin-though DDT. Luke regains momentum on a sick spot where he catches a top rope springboarding Neville with a big boot. Adrian's partner breaks up a pinfall attempt off the boot, and Erick throws him from the ring and proceeds to savage him on the floor.
The jumpin' Geordie dodges a running elbow from Harper that takes out his partner. The big man turns into an amazing enziguri (considering how far up AN needs to get to kick Luke's head) which lays him out for the corkscrew shooting star press.
WE HAVE OUR FIRST CHAMPIONS!
Rhodes personally hands out the titles, as Neville and Grey celebrate like grateful babyfaces. Dawson hits the ring to try to get a few comments, but mostly gets shouted over and pushed out of the way for more hugs. Regal informs us that he has never been prouder to be British as we fade out.

Angle Speaks Out On The IOC Dissolving Wrestling
TNA wrestler Kurt Angle appeared on
ESPNews's SportsCenter program on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the International
Olympic Committee's decision to drop wrestling from the Olympics starting in
2020. The following are highlights from the five-minute interview with Angle,
who was introduced as an Olympic gold medalist formerly of WWE and now currently
with "Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling."
- Angle said he "didn't think it
was possible" for the IOC to drop wrestling for the Olympics. "I just can't
believe they would do that right now," he added, stressing his shock over the
decision.
- Angle said he thinks the wrestling community, both
professional and amateur, need to "fight back" against the decision prior to the
IOC's final decision later this year.
- Angle claimed that amateur
wrestling is as popular as it has been since 1980. He backed up his claim by
saying MMA has "jumpstarted" interest in wrestling at the high school and
college levels because the athletes see opportunities to compete
professionally.
Angle cited Bellator - TNA's co-partner with Spike TV -
and UFC as avenues to compete in MMA after wrestling. "A lot of kids see MMA or
want to become a pro wrestler after seeing me make the transition," Angle
said.
- Angle stressed that wrestling being dropped from the Olympics
could hurt the sport's progress in the U.S. "Main reason is kids always want to
go after the gold," Angle said. "Now, I don't know where things are going to
go."
Angle said wrestling's potential has been "built up so much" that it
would be "a shame" if the incentive to strive for Olympics gold is
removed.

2013 Top Prospect Tournament 1st Round Match: Matt Taven vs. "The Young Simba" ACH
Code of Honor adhered to before the bell sounds. Dueling chants for both men as the bell sounds. Winner and advancing to the semi-finals of the Top Prospect Tournament: Matt Taven by pinfall (Top Rope Frog Splash)
Both men adhere to the Code of Honor after the match as we go to commercial.
Commercial
Before we come back from commercial, we see a hype promo for the 11th Anniversary iPPV on March 2nd from Chicago Ridge, Illinois as Veda Scott interviews Roderick Strong, who smells Veda's hair, saying it smells good.
Strong: "2 out of 3 falls and honestly, I don't even know why Ring of Honor wants to put me in this match." "But you know what, I'll do you a favor and I'll do all the Ring of Honor fans a favor and I'll accept this match." "Cause Michael Elgin, I've done it before and I have no problem beating you 2 straight falls."
Back from commercial, ROH match-maker Nigel McGuinness is in the ring with a microphone.
Nigel: "Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, I would like to introduce the Ring of Honor World Television Champion, Adam Cole!"
The music of the champ hits as Cole makes his way to the ring.
"And also at this time, I would like to introduce, pro wrestling superstar, Matt Hardy!"
Hardy's music hits and he makes his way to the ring.
"OK boys, now listen, the reason I've brought you both out there is because you both have come to me and you asked me both for the same match, with each other, albeit due to recent reasons." "So I wanted to explain, to have you both out here at the same time, to tell you both, my decision." "Matthew, you want this match because you believe that you beat him at Final Battle, therefore you have earned a title shot." "Adam, you want this match because you believe you want retribution for the way that he beat you at Final Battle." "So, I'm gonna make this real simple." "Matt, I am not gonna give you a title match."
Crowd boos at this while Hardy is shocked by Nigel's decision.
"Yes, you beat him, but you had to kick him in the nuts to do it and that's not how we do things in Ring of Honor and to be perfectly honest with you, Matt, you're better than that." "Now Adam, I understand you're angry, I understand you want retribution, so I am gonna give you a match with Matt Hardy, but mark my words, it will not be for the Ring of Honor Television Championship because Matt, if you want a shot at the title, you have to earn it by winning it, clean in the middle of the ring, in this match." "Is that OK?"
Hardy: "Well, with all due respect, Nigel, I'm gonna have to decline your offer because I have nothing else to prove to Adam Cole." "I beat him clean in the middle of the ring, 1-2-3, with a textbook small package." "I don't know what match you were watching." "As a matter of fact, I should be awarded the Television Title, that's what should happen." "You see, I have nothing to prove to this kid, I beat him already." "I said I was gonna beat him and I beat him." "So unless this little b***h wants to put the title on the line, or unless you put the title on the line, I'm done here, I have nothing else to prove."
Nigel: "Nothing else to prove, Adam?"
Cole: "Let me make something really, really crystal clear, Mr. Washed Up." "Anytime, anyplace and anywhere, you want a shot at my Television Championship, I have no problem putting the belt on the line." "And Nigel, as a matter of fact, Nigel, not only I'm I asking, I'm insist that our next match-up is for the TV Title."
Nigel: "Wait a second, wait a second, pump the brakes here, champion." "When you sign on the dotted line with your contract here in Ring of Honor, did it say match-maker?"
Cole: "No."
Nigel: "No, because when you sign on the dotted line, you weren't the match-maker, I am the match-maker, I decide who wrestles who and for what." "Does that make sense?" "So, when I say that this match is not gonna be for the Ring of Honor Television Title, it is not gonna be for that title." "If you (Hardy) want that match, you have to prove it, prove it to me."
Hardy: "Seriously?" "Why do I have to prove to you?" "My credientals don't do it themselves?" "I am a former ECW World Champion, 8-time WWE Tag Champion, WWE United States Champion, I was the Cruiserweight Champion, hell, I even held the Hardcore Title." "Every promotion I have went to, I have won a title." "I deserve a match for the Television Title." "I don't understand your prejudice towards me." "Wait, OK, I get it now, I see why you won't give me a title match, Nigel, its because you're jealous of Matt Hardy." "You're envious of Matt Hardy, I see the way you look at me right now, you got a bit of power, you think you can flex it." "You're envious of me because you've never had the career, or you never would have had the career that I've had." "While I was on top in Madison Square Garden, you were wrestling in flea markets, armories, high school gyms." "Me, on the other hand, I was on top." "You're jealous and envious of my popularity, of my life, of my bank accounts, of everything I have." "Its all starting to make sense now." "Yeah, you're envious of the career I have and continue to have."
Hardy pokes his finger at Nigel's chest, but Cole slaps his hand down and grabs the mic.
Cole: "Don't...you...dare!" "Nigel, I know you don't need me to speak up for you, but this man has put more into this company than anybody else." "He's earned the respect of the fans, by putting his blood, his sweat, his tears, his years, into Ring of Honor." "He's earned the respect of every single person in that locker room." "I have a question for you, Matt, is can you say the same?" "I'll answer it for you, its a big....fat.....NO!" "So Matt, you feel that you need a reason to face me, without the Television Title on the line?" "OK, I'll give you one."
Cole nails Hardy with a right hand, then Hardy backs Cole into the ropes. The two fall to the mat, trading right hands as Nigel calls for security. Multiple referees and security come out to separate Hardy & Cole as the crowd chants "Let them fight." Security gets Hardy out of the ring as Cole is still being held back by security as we go to commercial.

"Inside Ring of Honor"
The 1st topic is the Top Prospect Tournament, with the 1st round having been completed with this week's show as Tadarius Thomas, Matt Taven, Silas Young & QT Marshall have advanced to the semi-finals. Kevin Kelly is joined by Truth Martini to talk about the 4 guys who have moved on. Martini says he knew Tadarius Thomas was gonna win and that he does moves that Martini has never seen before, Hoopla style. Martini says Silas Young is quiet & dangerous, kinda like what Kelly just did, insinuating that Kelly farted. Martini says QT Marshall has something, but his management is wrong. Finally, Martini says Matt Taven is controversial, but he likes that. However, Taven is missing a little something. Martini then takes off his shoes and pants off and says its time to give all his "Hoopla Hotties" what they have been waiting for. Its time to take your pants off.
The next topic is this weekend's live event in Cincinnati, Ohio and the big-time main event announced for the show. It will be a 6-man elimination tag team match with NO TIME LIMIT as The Ring of Honor All-Stars (Davey Richards, Adam Cole & Michael Elgin) take on S.C.U.M. (Kevin Steen, Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs). We go to comments from Team ROH.
Richards: "You know Nigel, you call us the Ring of Honor All-Stars, you don't know how right you are." "See, if you look back to 2012, match I had with this guy (Cole), match I had with this guy (Elgin), well the stars kinda start adding up."
Cole: "In Cincinnati, this is the 1st time the 3 of us are teaming up together and some people may think we have a disadvantage, that we may not all 3 be on the same page, but that's the complete opposite case." "All 3 of us wanna make sure we rid Ring of Honor of S.C.U.M."
Elgin: "In the last year, I haven't played so well with others, but S.C.U.M., if I'm going against you with anybody, I want these 2 at my side."
Richards: "This is our 1st time tagging and let's be honest, this is our last time tagging." So boys, I say in Cincinnati, we go out with a bang."
Also on the show this weekend will be Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong, Charlie Haas & The Briscoes.
Speaking of the Briscoes, the final topic is a new match announced for the 11th Anniversary iPPV on March 2nd as the Briscoes will defend the ROH Tag Team Titles against Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly, who won the gauntlet match last week on ROH TV to earn this title shot. We go to comments from Fish & O'Reilly.
Fish: "So now, what is it that you & I have managed to accomplish in our short time together?" "Well, we won the tag team gauntlet by beating none other than the American Wolves themselves and we move on to Chicago to take on #DemBoys." "Now, could someone please show me the dictionary that shows "Dem" as an acceptable form of the English language?"
O'Reilly: "All joking aside, 8 title reigns is very impressive, Briscoes, but come Chicago, its gonna be 8 losses, cause we're gonna send you back to the chicken farm, broken, defeated and retired."
Next week on Inside Ring of Honor, more news on the 11th Anniversary and an update on the problems between Adam Cole & Matt Hardy.

IMPACT WRESTLING Raises Voice To Save Olympic Wrestling |
#SaveOlympicWrestling
On
Tuesday the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)
announced 25 Core Sports for the 2020 Olympic Games dropping one of the
original Olympic sports: wrestling. Wrestling will now have to fight to remain a
part of the 2020 games. TNA IMPACT WRESTLING is home to 1996 Olympic Gold
Medalist Kurt Angle and is dedicated to change this decision.
The IOC
stated reasoning for the decision, according to the report, was an analysis of
"more than three dozen criteria, including television ratings, ticket sales,
anti-doping policy and global participation and popularity. The IOC has decided
to keep recreational sports such as badminton, handball and table tennis in the
25 Core Sports category and to delete one of the oldest Olympic sport that
premiered in the first modern Olympics in Athens in 1896.
Kurt Angle is
considered the best wrestler of all time to be in both amateur and professional
wrestling and is gearing up to fight this decision and organize a battalion of
like minds to save this Olympic sport.
Wrestling is one of the most
competitive sports in the world today, stated TNA Superstar and 1996 Gold
Medalist Kurt Angle. Winning the gold for my country in one of the original
Olympic sports was one of the greatest moments in my life.
The wrestling
community is in a state of shock with this decision we can not sit back and
allow this to happen. I will do whatever it takes and work with my company TNA
WRESTLING and the competitive wrestling community to determine what we need to
do to reverse this decision.
The news from the IOC is very
disheartening to all of us at TNA as well as the tens of millions around the
world who either participate in amateur wrestling or enjoy watching it in its
entertainment form, stated TNA President Dixie Carter. We need to join
together right now. We encourage our own IMPACT WRESTLING community, WWE and
wrestling organizations worldwide as well as competitive amateur coaches and
athletes to have a unified voice to make sure wrestling will be an Olympic sport
in 2020.
TNA encourages fans to take to social media to let your voices
be heard. Speak out using #SaveOlympicWrestling and
